Best motherboard ever
Pros: Booted up right out of the box. This is the MB you want to get and you will not spend all your time with RMA the MB but just enjoying all the speed that this MB has. Everything works on this MB right out of the box. Great on update bios.
Cons: None at all
Other Thoughts: If I ever find something that could be added I will tell you later. But for now it's perfect. Just stay away from the P5K Deluxe wifi MB it is trash, dont bealeve me? just ask ASUS Tec and they will tell you the same thing. Stay with this P5B Deluxe wifi and you will love it.

Solid & Stable
Pros: Very nice MB with all the bells & wistles for over clocking. Wireless works great never had a need to use wired network. VERY STABLE board if setup right.
Cons: NONE / USB connections are at the bottom of the board so if you want a card reader at the top of your case like I did, you might need an extension cable.
Other Thoughts: I used this board for my new CAD workstation and it rocks. Don't use the over clocking features if you don't know what you are doing or can't afford good memory.

A good Mobo
Pros: Onboard Wifi. 4 onboard USB ports + 2 additional ports in box. 2 Ethernet ports. External SATA port. RAID availability.
Q Connector rocks. One of the pins came out on mine so it doesn't work anymore, but just having it is an excellent reference, especially if this is one of the first times you are installing a new motherboard. Made my life 100x easier.
Cons: Wifi does not work as well as I hoped. I used the wifi for 2 days, but the adapter would occasionally disappear (OS would no longer see it). So I just switched to one of the 2 Ethernet ports, which works flawlessly. Some driver compatibility issues.. see other comments.
Other Thoughts: This mobo has some excellent features, a ton of ports and almost every part of it has room for expansion. The onboard wifi is an awesome touch, but this board is not without problems..
The onboard Wifi does not work well enough to use for long periods. After a few hours, my OS stopped recognizing the wifi card until I re-installed the drivers and rebooted. Also, the antenna for Wifi is not very long. It does not even reach my desk from the back of the computer, so it needs to sit on the floor or on top of my case.
Also, there are definitely driver compatibility issues. Because I have only had the board for a few days, I have not discovered exactly what they are, but installing all the latest drivers (especially the JMicron drivers) causes some ports to disable and all-around funkiness. My advice, pick up the board (as long as you are not relying on it for wifi) and install new chipset drivers from the CD or website, and let windows handle the rest of the driver updates.

Pros: Solid as a rock. Bios updates make it quad core compatible and crossfire as well. ICH8R has no problem dealing with my 1.1 TB of hard drive space while burning DVDs and watching movies. Q connector is very convenient for people that don't have little girl's hands. Good layout with plenty of fan headers everywhere.
Cons: The wireless leaves a lot to be desired, it runs on a USB bus which might be part of the problem. If you want to game on wireless you're going to have to buy yourself another adapter because there are frequent lag spikes with the Asus wireless (1 spike every minute or so). For regular applications you'll be fine, but forget about gaming with it.
Other Thoughts: Owned the board for about 11 months now and have had minimal problems with it (stupid wireless). Using Corsair ram, BFG 7900gt, sound blater x-fi and everything works flawlessly (aside from the asus wireless, but my Dlink is working fine). The board did stop reading the speed on one of my fans, not sure if it's the fan or the board header. The fan still runs so I didn't investigate the matter any further. Would give 5/5 if the wireless worked properly.

Excellant Mother Board
Pros: So many where should I start.
Cons: Placement of Sata connectors. They should of been at an angle like the striker.
Other Thoughts: This board is great very stable. This board makes me like Asus again. As I have been useing their boards for some 8 years now.
I bought this board because my other Asus P5WD2-E Preimum died after a year. And I put my 955 EE cpu on it and all i can say is wow I also have a Asus Striker Extreme with a QE6700 and this board out performs the striker so well with this cpu that I just bought the P5K Deluxe WIFI as a replacement from my striker as it is a very porly made board but some ppl had had good luck ocing with it with C2D but with quad core cpu's ppl are reporting problems and unstable overclocks. Also the Striker is very hit or miss as to weather it will be a good ocer even with a C2D

Good full featured motherboard
Pros: Worked well right out of the box when I got it up and running and is still working well with no hiccups a month later.
Cons: The manual has some awful descriptions. It took me over an hour to figure out how to install the HSF (the way the manual described it you had to twist the pins to lock it in when that is the exact opposite of what you do). Also many of the BIOS features are poorly described or not described at all.
Other Thoughts: Most of the features you are paying for will be unused probably. I bought it for the built in Wi-Fi but many of the other features are unused so unless you want a wi-fi connection there are cheaper boards

Great board when it works
Pros: Lowest power consumption of any board in it's performance range, extraordinary overclocking capabilities.
Cons: See other thoughts
Other Thoughts: I wen't to war with this board for the last few months, from early post issues to a month or 2 of smooth saiiling with an e6600 @ 3.4ghz, to constant bios failures, and now a board that wont post with any memory installed. It wasn't stable very often but it was beautiful when it was, Asus has my RMa on the way but i'm moving to the p35, i'll just sell it off, i give up, i hear people talking about the 680i being troublesome, but they haven't seen the dark side of the p965

Pros: Great board! Makes overclocking easy and is seemingly very compatible with various RAM configs.
Cons: Wireless card seemed to have some problems with Vista and required a ton of driver updates. Also, it takes up a USB port on the board.

Very good board
Pros: Feature rich and very well made. Install was a simple(except for the CPU cooler from Intel...what's up with that!) Good documentation and no issues
Cons: First board was DOA, but I'm giving Asus the benefit of the doubt here.
Other Thoughts: Asus P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi, Intel CoreDuo2 E6600, Creative X-fi XtremeGamer sound, 2Gb G.Skill DDR2800, Samsung HD501LJ 500gb HHD

Wait for a fixed version or avoid
Pros: Lots of features
Cons: Lots of problems with IDE DVD drives and temp readings/fan control
Other Thoughts: I loved my old A8V board and went with Asus again for an upgrade. However, I've had lots of problems with this board. Asus has done a poor job integrating the JMicron 363 chip with the ICH8 chip.
The IDE vs SATA configurations in bios are pretty confusing, and even when you figure them out some combinations of sound/sata/ide will not work properly.
For instance I have a Sony IDE DVD drive and the board will only support it in PIO mode. (no DMA) I'm sitting here while I wait for it to burn a disk at about 3x instead of 40x as it should. I've installed new bios, drivers and gone through about a dozen recommended reconfigs recommended on forums etc. Nothing works.
fans/temps: no control is provided over CPU or Power fan in manual mode, so speedfan is useless. chassis Q-fan works but CPU Q-fan does nothing. temps are all over the place and usually make no sense.
Won't be buying any ASUS boards again, that's for sure
