Solid Performer
Pros: Cheap, supports up to core 2 quad cpus, quality ASUS product.
Cons: limited in the amount of RAM it is capable of holding, then again I knew this when I bought it, it was for a lower end build... I spose, It does have a VIA chipset which I have had bad experiences with, but once again..low end product.
Other Thoughts: Truly a solid performer.

perfect board
Pros: while checking for decent board under 50 dollars i found this to be a excellent board. It works with the 20 pin pentium 4 power supplies i had a old 400 watter that it works great with didn't need a new power supply. Asus is the best board company for pentiums imo. Also i got a pci card and it autodetected without a problem so other pc's i built had jumpers or a bios setting but not this everything is auto perfect to install for a beginner.
Cons: none so far ill post if anything happens.
Other Thoughts: love asus

Does the Job
Pros: Works out of the box with Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope. Nvidia 7050 with the 180 drivers performs very well. Smooth Video playback and Compiz runs perfictly. Comes with latest bios installed. First time I didn't have to upgrade the bios out of the box.
Cons: Does not have gigabit lan. Only supports single channel memory.
Other Thoughts: Make sure to go with at least 1gb of ram for Linux so you can turn on full "eye-candy" without any performance issue when using on-board video.

its ASUS
Pros: Its an ASUS, I can't say enough about Asus. I love their products. always reliable always trustworthy. i installed a e5200 dual-core processor in this MB and is fast as ever
Cons: I wish there was more to the overclocking on this board. i like to see how far i can push the processors. with this board its done all behind the scenes.

no problems
Pros: Small, inexpensive, good integrated video.
Cons: No problems.
Other Thoughts: I'm running Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex with a Linux 2.6.27 kernel. Everything seems to be working.
I haven't found a pinout diagram for the front panel connector. The board is marked, but without polarities.
Note that the second PCI slot lines up with two of the SATA connectors. If you have two full size PCI cards, you will need a right angle connector for the third SATA drive. I don't think a fourth SATA connector would fit at all.

Great Choice for an Office Computer
Pros: I installed this motherboard for a client and all is well. This board offers all of the features needed for an office computer, like the one assembled for my client. I had zero problems with installation or boot up of any of the installed hardware used in my clients computer (Specifications listed in 'other thoughts' section). Overall, this is a great motherboard for an office/home office/student computer.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Processor: Intel Celeron E1400 Motherboard: ASUS P5N73-AM RAM: Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) (KVR667D2N5K2/2G) Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 W0070RUC 430W Case: Generic mini/micro ATX Case

Good Value
Pros: Dirt cheap for decent onboard graphics and 5.1 sound.
It works; the sound is okay, the graphics are good, the setup is acceptable and price can't be beat.
Cons: The RAM slots are very very close to the heatsink; won't be a problem for me, since I'm using a 65W processor which doesn't run very hot, but it definitely could be an issue for some.
Also, the CPU power connector is right next to the CPU fan connector; if your PSU has stiff cables, good luck trying to fit it in there!
Wish it had HDMI so I could hook it up to my TV by some way other than VGA
Other Thoughts: I bought this to build a cheap media center; slapped a 320GB HDD and a DVD burner in it, and hooked it up to my 40" Sony Bravia for a test run, and had no problems at all.
It's not a high end motherboard by any means, but I've yet to find something with 5.1 sound and a decent onboard chipset for less.

Basic Mobo
Pros: Bought this as a replacement for a dead ASROCK mobo. As usual for Asus boards, rock solid.
Cons: SINGLE CHANNEL MEMORY????? I did not see that anywhere in the write up. Fortunately this is for my kid's computer but I haven't seen a single channel memory in years :(
Other Thoughts: Probably would have passed on the board if I had seen that to begin with. Buyer beware!

Good Value - No Problems
Pros: Easy to install, wide range of CPU support. Reasonable integrated video. Really nice 8 channel sound.
Cons: Only 1 IDE connector. Lan is 10/100 Gb/s - will install a Gig PCI ethernet card.
Other Thoughts: Installed an XFX GEForce 8500 GT graphics card to provide outputs for TV & DVD Recorder. Installed an LG 22X SATA DVD drive, to replace an older IDE DVD drive, thus freeing up an IDE connection. Now running a 3.5 GHz Pentium D Prescott, 2 IDE + 2 SATA hard drives. Makes a nice unit for graphics processing and HTPC at very low cost.

Disappointed
Pros: I guess its a descent board for being micro
Cons: Don't use PCIe x16 2.0 compliant video card, will not get the frame rates out of it
Other Thoughts: Newegg needs to update the specs, while the board may be PCIe x16, it is NOT 2.0 compliant, it's a 1.1 slot. Here's a better alternative: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775, this will go good with my new HIS Hightech H487F1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

Pros: LOOK
Cons: BELOW
Other Thoughts: dear reviewers, please do your homework first! check out the asus website, the specs ARE RIGHT THERE! dont knock the egg because of a simple error, no one is perfect. If you did you homework there would be no problem, HENCE, BLAME YOURSELF!

Decent Board
Pros: Worked right out of the box.
Cons: Had some issues getting the bios to like my DDR 667 ram. I had to manually change it in BIOS.
Other Thoughts: If you have a beef with newegg and not the product itself please do not rate the board poorly. I skews the ratings system and hurts everyone. Thank you.

Poor newegg suport
Pros: None
Cons: Newegg customer service
Other Thoughts: Bought the motherboard believing that it PCI Express 2.0 x16 compatible because that it was listed on the newegg website. When called to try to correct the problem, newegg customer service was very rude to me and offered no help to help resolve the problem.

Pros: For the price, it works great. The onboard video is pretty solid, and I've had no problems whatsoever with it. It went in easy and it worked from the first boot onwards.
Cons: This board is not PCI-E 2.0, in spite of the specs listed on Newegg.

great HTPC mobo
Pros: I was looking for a cheap mobo for an HTPC and a desktop machine. Picked up two! They are easy to install, excellent driver install software and it's plenty fast. Asus makes a solid motherboard, so if this one has what you need - get it!
Cons: None!

Pros: fast and easy setup onboard video is good but mine is very brite. this was my first build. rosewell 500 watt psu, xfx 8800 gs havent installed yet, NZXT Alpha case, this motherboard, lga 775 pentium 4 3.0
Cons: the onboard has a white fog on my screen but im sure the 8800 will take care of that.
Other Thoughts: i hope when i install the 8800 the motherboard know to auto switch to the 8800 and stop using the onboard video

Easiest setup of my life
Pros: simplistic design, solid caps in necessary places, HD AUDIO WHICH SOUNDS GREAT, integrated 512mb geforce video, micro-atx, ASUS!!!!, SATA, YAY this board has a floppy connector.
Cons: Only 1 IDE channel (supports 2 IDE devices), 10/100 etehrnet not gigabit, DRIVERS ARE ON A DVD.
Other Thoughts: Well i had a pentium 4 LGA775 chip laying around and this board looked pretty good, so i bought it. I had a computer that had a P4 ready power supply and a p3 motherboard (also ASUS) that was dead. so i swapped em out and this was a dream setting up, so easy, except for the fact that i didnt have a DVD drive so i coulnt install the drivers, and the audio drivers on their website for XP are corrupt. But i managed to install them and the audio sounds great, everythings running well as expected from an ASUS motherboard.
