Good Board For Price
Pros: Sideport memory for decent embedded memory performance, takes AM2, AM2+ and AM3 processors. HDMI with optical out for home theater use.
Cons: Not a fan of Realtek Gigabit LAN, not good if you want to use the board as a home server or where you need good LAN performance. Works OK for desktop and HTPC applications.
Other Thoughts: Been running in my Daughter's PC for 6 mo and have not had any issues running Windows Vista & 7, the built-in graphics are good enough for Sims 2 & 3 and the casual games she plays.

Good MB!
Pros: Works well with windows 7, Has lots of features! Memory (Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996684) works great and fast with it! Put a AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HD9850XAJ4BGH - OEM in it, didnt have to tweak any settings.
Price is great for the amount of settings available!
Cons: cd's didnt come with windows 7 drivers, and in fact the cd's that came with the motherboard for vista and xp didnt work properly. (Download the drivers from their (ASrock) website, they are updated and work great!)
Just like most boards now days, the PCIe video card COVERS one of the two pci slots, so dont expect much expansion!
Other Thoughts: This board is a great buy for a non mainstream brand!

Great Board!
Pros: Like many have already said, this m/b has a very wide array of overclocking options which is very cool. I am using it with an AMD Phenom II X3 720 which I have slightly overclocked 10% so it runs at about 3100 instead of stock 2800. I was also able to unlock the 4th core with this m/b so now I have a quad core. This results in an insane amount of power for the small amoun of money spent on the chip ($119) and the m/b ($60). I am just using the stock heatsink/fan and temp runs at consistent 38C, the way I am running it. The stock cooler seems to do a decent job and is not bad with noise level either.
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain

No Problems - 6 months later !!
Pros: Stable, decent features, HDMI worked flawlessly, low price. My first ASRock board. I liked it so much, I built a file server a few months later and used a different ASRock board and also had great luck. Will definitlely buy more from this company.
Cons: None so far

Great little board
Pros: Inexpensive, built in video with HDMI output, lots of sata connections.
Cons: The hdmi slot is a bit flimsy... sometimes takes some work to get a good connection.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for an HTPC and I'm very satisfied. I'm running a 2.7ghz athelon 64 x2, and the combination has more than enough power for 1080p h264 video. Plays hddvd (haven't tried blu ray yet) ok, a little stuttery. The board is great. Audio output through hdmi works fine. Running win xp pro.

Best bang for your buck
Pros: Amazing customization of clock speeds, voltages, and multipliers on this board provide an amazing overclockers / tweakers experience. I personally run it at stock speeds. On board HDMI interfaces provide amazing quality video and sound from every OS from XP -> Win 7. I use this as a workstation board / media center PC when I'm done working and I feel that for a "cheapo" board its quality is truly unmatched.
I high recommend ASRock for their amazing bundled software, great performance, and customization for the cost.
Cons: I wish it was all PCI-E personally.. I haven't used old-school PCI in almost a full year now, and I really enjoy the speed and performance of my PCI-E soundcard. I just wish I could use other PCI-E devices as well. I also wish the SATA cables that came with the board were 90 degree angled cables to fit my slim tower, but they're $5 at my local computer shop so its no big deal.
Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom X4 9600 2GB DDR2 1066 500GB Caviar Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Runs like a champ, excellent system.

Absolutely Mystified
Pros: Great motherboard with a ton of features in the Bios. I decided to leave the NVIDIA Chipset and get an AMD 7 Chipset, and this board does not disappoint. I had it for a week and it is solid
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Make sure that back up data as Vista/XP/Windows 7 may require you to reformat.

Treated me well so far
Pros: Very easy to install. I like the color scheme and everything has worked as stated. Onboard video is a pleasant surprise, easily able to handle win7 and older games (battlefield 2, team fortress 2)
Cons: My only problem is that I haven't been able to run my RAM at 1066 stable. Been failing either memtest or prime95 at those speeds. I've given up and just run it at 800 now and everything has been smooth.
Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II x3 720 2 x 2GB Mushkin 1066 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black

Pretty Good
Pros: A wealth of motherboard options in the bios. It has a massive amount of overclocking features. Works quite well.
Cons: Not *really* a con, but the manual made it harder to install than it should have. The manual is supposed to come with an overhead picture of the motherboard so you can determine which port is where, but it's missing. If you go online to ASRock's website, you can get the full manual with the missing diagram.
Other Thoughts: AM2+ socket works perfectly with my AM3 processor.

Nice board
Pros: Nice board, good embedded graphics and a really great price/performance ratio.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Why is it boards for intel processors at this price point are so poor? It's like $30-40 more for an intel based board with similar features.

junk
Pros: worked fine for a while
Cons: After about 3 months of normal operation, I went to turn my computer on the other day and the monitor was receiving no video signal. Fans spin up and lights come on now when I power up but still no video signal. The monitor tested fine and I even tried installing a dedicated video card but still get no signal.

Good board
Pros: good board easy setup, have used 3 of these and no failures. used for 3 quad units and all work well.
Cons: no really but have not used HDMI
Other Thoughts: boot hard drive needs to be SATA1 after that off you go. also need to set mem to run at 1066 if using it.

Great Buy
Pros: Great price. Small size while still packing it with plenty of options.
Cons: I know I'm being picky, but it only has 1 full PCI-E slot.
Other Thoughts: I just built a new computer with this board using Windows 7 as my OS. I haven't had any problems with drivers. I've always been very happy with ASRock's products.

Pretty solid mobo
Pros: - Good price - 4 dimms on a mATX board - ASRock is operated by ASUS which gives them more credit in my books.
Cons: - Why I took off an egg: I got this for my friend's budget PC build. We installed windows 7 and it could not recognize the mobo when trying to install mobo drivers. Everything *worked* except for sound using the generic Win 7 drivers that windows finds. To install the sound drivers, we went to the device manager and manually forced it to install. This has so far been OK, but the front panel / back panel is somewhat inconsistent in terms of which port is actually working or not.
This was with the DVD drivers AND the drivers off of ASRock's website.

Good for unlocking cores
Pros: Unlocked all four cores (stable) on my Phenom II X2 550. Excellent value. (total features vs. price)
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Price dropped on this right after I ordered it. Would have been an even better deal.

Pros: Didn't cost much. Overclocked my AMD dual core AM3 to 3.45 with the stock fan and it's rock stable with Win Xp Pro x64 and Gskill memory at 1066. lots of bios features.
Cons: None, I'm happy
Other Thoughts: Got 2 of these boards at the same time, both were up and running on the first try. Did a little tweaking with the bios settings and haven't had a problem yet. If you are only planing on using 2 sticks of 1066 memory make sure to put them in the orange slots.

Windows 7 Audio
Pros: Excellent Layout, great feature set, fantastic price, HDMI works like a charm!
Cons: No eSATA, no firewire, audio set up issues in Windows 7
Other Thoughts: Windows 7 Audio drivers from VIA website (version 7300.a) work perfectly under Windows 7.

Nice board
Pros: Board has good features for the size. The audio works good after installing the via drivers (in Win 7 RC). It runs my Regor 240 (2.8GHz) at 3.5GHz stable.
Cons: The memory seems to be stuck at the FSBx2 speed, so at 250FSB my memory is showing 250x2 whether it's set in the bios to 400x2 or 533x2 under the memory settings.

First build impressed
Pros: This is my first build, installed easy, simple bios, manual has a bit to be desired but there is always the world wide web. Fired up first time EZOC @ 3.36Ghz with Phenom II 720 X3 stable wont go any further then that but like I said this is my first time. Possibly under powered but handled my Phenom 9600BE X4 EZOCed to 2.5Ghz also. Very impressed with this board, granted my only comparison is my Gateway LX6200 Mobo with no oc options. Read other reviews about sound issues and found none with this board. Install disk doesn't work with windows7 you have to browse the cd for all the drivers. Not the fault of this manufacture though. Will buy ASRock again!
Cons: Don't think it will handle 140watt cpu but the 955 was my golden ring untill AMD had to release the 965 @ 140watts, I want the best but that is just he way I am and not a con about this Mobo.
Other Thoughts: I bought this on an open box special and it didn't come with the CMOS jumper pin so every power cycle bios would reset. Had a jumper from an old system so no biggie, the reason I mention it is the book says nothing about it installed on pins 1 & 2 for normal operation.

Pros: Great price for the features. Like the mATX size w/ 4 dimm slots. and the ATI 3200 IGP which I'm told overclocks via the bios to 3300 specs.
Cons: I cannot figure out how to get the memory to run at the 1066 is shows in the bios--when I run cpuID it shows the memory at 245MHZ (which is the FSB speed too) and not the 533/1066 it's set to in the bios. *the AMD overclock tool and SANDRA also show 245x2 for the memory.

Very good board
Pros: Low price, lot's of features.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Not really a con but while it has every OC option I can think of save for memory channel clock skew, it is not as solid for overclocking as some more expensive boards. I know this because clocks I was able to hit with a few CPUs required a decent amount more voltage to keep stable on this board. However that is not really it's target uses and for the components it has and capabilities for the price I have not come across a better board.

FANTASTIC Board!!
Pros: Easy set up right out of the box. Booted first time, every time! This thing has all the bells and whistles you could want for just about any build. I put the Phenom II 550 on it and it FLYS with 4gb of ram and Vista SP2. I haven't been able to slow it down with anything I do.
Cons: NONE!! Buy this board!
Other Thoughts: I have been building and supporting computers since 1992. This build gave me no, ZERO, problems from start to finish.
Many reviewers marked this down because of the User Manual being on the ASRock website. I always go to the manufacture's site first to make sure I get the latest manuals, drivers and BIOS. That way I have everything in case the CD fails to run.
This is my first ASRock board and it won't be my last! I plan to upgrade the Wife's system with this board and another Phenom II 550 in the near future and Newegg will get the order, as always. You folks ROCK!

DOA
Pros: Better PCIE slot position than my last MB.
Cons: Came DOA. LAN lights up when plugged in but doesn't do anything else. Wont power on.
Other Thoughts: This was to be my 2nd ASRock MB. The first died rather randomly after 2 years. This one came DOA and I'm seeing that several other people have experienced this as well. 20% of the reviews are about DOA boards. I'll not buy from ASRock ever again.

Difficult Board
Pros: I am sure that this model AsRock board is pretty good. LOTS of overclocking options. The Manual was fine. Great Price. Plenty of CPU options and RAM selection speeds. I gave it 3 eggs only due to its cons.
Cons: This board gave me headaches to boot up. It seem to only boot up after installing a bigger Power supply (had a 420, switched to a 650). Still would not boot --- so after 'rearranging' the board on the seating panel with copper mounts and screws - it finally booted up - 4 hours + to figure it out. Once booted, it would not boot up after overclocking with a dual core Athlon. I toned it down a little and it was fine after that. Its running fine now, and i hope it stays that way!!!
Other Thoughts: Good Speed - and for the price -- worth it, but I will probably switch to another manufacturer for my next build in the next few weeks.

Good
Pros: Great everything that i need it there.
Cons: I had problem with window 7 64bit The sound was low. Put it on the front one and it work. Not a big problem easy fix.
Other Thoughts: The manual was not that great you have to download it to get understanding.

Nice little board
Pros: Its AsRock, updating the bios is a breeze, nice simple layout. Has ACC "advanced clock calibration" so unlocking those locked cores becomes a possibility :) and it supports all kinds of AMD processors from Athlon to PhenomII AM3 and back!
Cons: Doesn't have 2 Pci express slots so cross fire is out of the Q.
Other Thoughts: This was a budget build for a friend of mine and he wasnt looking for anything fancy.
Build Specs: Sigma Orca Cese,ASRock A780GMH/128M,Kuma 7750 X2 Proc,Sapphire 3850GC ,LOGISYS Computer 575W PSU, 4GB WINTEC AMPX RAM,Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB HD,LG Black 22X DVD.

Good Value
Pros: Performance AMD board with good over-clocking capabilities, on-board video card that can be supported with CrossFire, easy install and bios update
Cons: Only one PCI-E x16 slot, but standard for the Micro-ATX board.
Other Thoughts: Excellent value and performance at a great price point

Pros: Decent price with nice integrated graphics chipset.
Cons: Poor Quality Control and only Memory slots 2 & 4 work (Dual channel is impossible).
Other Thoughts: I had to return the first one after a day when the ram slots failed (only slots 2 & 4 works for the first few hours), then the systemboard failed to boot up. The manual also failed to contain the system board schematic, so it had all the components numbers below a blank page.
I had the board replaced and it hasn't died, but only slots 2 & 4 work, not even a single piece of memory works in slot one or three alone. Again, the mainboard schematic is missing. So if I ever want to upgrade the memory, I'll need to replace both slots with higher density RAM.
I don't like having to wait 10 days to return it and then wait another 10 days to receive a new one.

Pros: N/A
Cons: 2 boards DOA back-2-back
As of now, I do not believe I will be purchasing this brand. CPU AM3, Phenom II 4 GB - GSKILL DDR2 800
Board did not post after build; No prompt when powered on w/ and w/out memory
Power on hang w/ CPU
Other Thoughts: Others have had success with this board (fyi)

Good Board
Pros: Supports 8gb of DDR2 cheaply. Well Laid out for use in smaller case. Compact. Supports GbE.
Cons: Could use another fan header. FDD connector's placement is less than ideal.
Other Thoughts: On board graphics are good enough for office work or 5 year old games but not much more. Not surprised. Would like mATX boards w/o integrated graphics.

Great Board - One Fix for Sound Issues
Pros: This is a really great board for all the features it has and the price. It has onboard HDMI, DVI, and VGA along with optical out for audio as well.
Layout is great for a mATX and airflow across the board is decent.
ACC in the bios is sweet to enable the Phenom II 550. I got lucky and all four cores are stable and working. One core does not show temp under CPU-z which is probably why AMD branded it a Phenom II.
Didn't try to O.C. this as it was for a customer, but there are nearly all the option you would want available in the BIOS.
Cons: SOUND issues with the VIA onboard audio:
Installed Windows 7 64-bit and after initial boot no unknown devices in Device Manager. However VGA was listed as blank and I had no sound.
The driver disk would not load any of the drivers with the built-in interface as it was an "Unsupported operating system". However navigating to the folders on the disc directly I could install one by one.
Grabbed the latest ATI drivers from the AMD site and all was good - except still no sound and still no unknown devices. Realtek HDMI was working fine, just no analog.
Finally drilled into the audio folder on the driver CD and installed the VIA Win64 drivers off the disc.
BINGO! Found new hardware and had sound working off the analog ports front and back.
Other Thoughts: Overall this is an excellent board - not just for the money either. It is capable of doing nearly everything current AMD technologies are capable of with room to grow.
Yes, in certain respects it may fall a bit short on serious overclocking abilities. But if you are truly into that, you shouldn't be tooling around with and eighty dollar board in the first place.
Listening to people complain about trying to get their Yugo's to race around at 100mph is a bit tiresome after a while.

Pros: Most of the best ports Support for all AM2(+)/AM3 CPUs Uses cheap DDR2 memory Myriads of over-clocking options Sideport Memory (128 MB) Inexpensive choice for a really powerful low-budget rig or HTPC.
Cons: Manual wasn't as helpful as I'd have liked, but it worked. BIOS layout was rather unintuitive. *see Other thoughts Only 1 PCIe x16 2.0 slot No eSATA or Firewire ports Sideport Mem, while useful, is no substitute for a real card. It does help bridge the gap between integraded and discrete graphics solutions.
Other Thoughts: *We bought a dual channel kit from GSkill that supported DDR2 1066 but needed 2.0v to go with this mobo; the timing adjust was buried in on 1 page, voltage adjust was two levels deep on another. That said the default settings were really good, not much fiddling was necessary for best stable performance.
For some reason with our Phenom II x4 945 AM3's hypertransport only operates at 2GHz not the 2.6 as advertised. Must be because of the AM2+ socket. (I have the most current BIOS) Faster than spit regardless.
Also, this thing isn't standard microATX, it's a little wider. I used an ATX mid tower so it didn't affect me.

Great board
Pros: Low cost, works with Phenom II X4 Quad, easy overclocking built in, 16 GB RAM, 6 SATA ports, standard size, includes everything and then some!
Cons: Don't know if it is my speakers or what, but they worked with my other desktop, now they are really quiet. You have to turn tem up all the way. Does the same thing on my laptop though. Oh well.
Also, runs a tiny bit warm, but no probs.
Other Thoughts: Great board! 5 stars

Pros: very good basic mobo with video. easy install. great value with combo deals
Cons: still do not have audio. have googled & have not found a solution. others with similar problems all have windows 7 as a factor. tried asrock & realtek driver updates. if anyone finds a solution, please post.

good mobo
Pros: Easy install and had a lot of ports for everything. It also had a good instruction manual, it looks really long but English is only like 30 pages. The on board sound and video worked great, no gaming though. Everything worked fine.
Cons: the picture for were the screws went when installing it wasn't very good, that's about it though.

Nice Little Board
Pros: Excellent value for the price. Onboard graphics are actually a little faster than my old AGP XFX 6600GT. It has all the ports a casual computer user could want built right in. It unlocked my Phenom II 550 to 4x with no stability issues whatsover. Handled my 4GB of OCS 1066 just fine.
Cons: I spent 6 hours trying to get audio to work on a clean Window 7 install. Tried the latest Realtek drivers from both the Asrock site and Realtek site. As far as I can tell, under Windows 7, the drivers only recognize HD audio jacks. Then I tried my old Soundblaster PCI card, and that would not produce audio either. Both onboard audio AND PCI audio worked on my GA71XE under Windows 7. Downgrading to Windows XP let onboard and PCI audio work with the 780. Maybe if I install Windows 7 with the PCI card already installed, I'll get audio. I wold subtract 2 eggs, but I haven't seen anyone else mention audio problems... so benefit of the doubt compromises to 1 egg.
Other Thoughts: 3DMark score was was actually better with the IGP than my old AGP 6600GT. This is probably a function of both a more modern GPU and a light-year jump between the 3200+ and the Phenom II. For $500, including case and power supply, I have a great mid-level gaming machine (my display is only 1440 x 900 max).

Solid motherboard for me
Pros: Small size for better cable management within case, ACC, southbridge chipset shows up as SB750 using CPU-Z, many overclocking options in the BIOS, maintains a 3.0 Ghz overclock with my Phenom 9950 which is all the performance I need.
Cons: Manual is a little lacking when it comes to descriptions of the more obscure options in the BIOS.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this as an open box item from newegg and it booted right up. I couldn't be happier with the price and the performance. I am coming from a Gigabyte 790FX motherboard w/ a SB600 chipset that caused random reboots. This motherboard has been nothing but stable and I did update the BIOS to version 1.20 upon installation. I'm still a firm believer in 1 solid video card rather than a crossfire setup, so the single PCI-E slot is perfect as well.
My computer: ASRock A780GMH motherboard Phenom 9950 OC 3.0 Ghz 2x2Gb Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066 3x250Gb Seagate SATA 3.0 16MB Cache Sapphire Radeon 4830 Coolermaster Real Power Pro 650 PSU 2x Samsung SATA DVD/RW

ok..so far
Pros: lots of features, am3 ready, 4 ram slots, nice on board video
Cons: first one was doa. second has been running but I have gotten 3 dumps that i believe are due to the onboard video configuration..manual was not helpful. I would not purchase this board again and bought another for back-up..
Other Thoughts: I never had much luck with ati chipsets..im going back to nvidia. The crossfire hybrid is a joke..there is no real boost and its to complicated to setup in bios

So far so good
Pros: Great features such as instant boot and ez overclocking. Fits everything I need, and has all the ports for my HTPC build. The HDMI output worked right out of the box connecting to my hdtv. Cheap!!
Cons: None so far except the HDMI output DOES NOT have audio channels, I didn't really think about it but then popped in a graphic card that supports it and voila, I booted into win7 and heard the login sound on my tv speakers.
Other Thoughts: So far so good - well equipped for an htpc, i couldn't find a better mobo for this build.

Great Board
Pros: -ACC unlocks most phenom chips -BIOS is feature rich and super friendly -Overclocking is simple!!
Got this board with a Phenom 550, set the ACC to Auto, and it unlocked all 4 cores right away. The 550 stepping is 0924FPMW and I didnt need to update bios. Overall, its been a great board for the price.
Cons: Havent found any yet

On-board Video Didn't Work!
Pros: Has lots of good features. Everything worked fine except for on-board video and it has 4 slots for memory for expansion. I've bought many products from Newegg and this is the only one I've had problems with.
Cons: It was really hard to focus on pros when your on-board video doesn't work. I tried it on two different monitors just to make sure. When a screen shows flashing stripes it means you on-board video or graphics card is DOA. Also really bad documentation, it only came with a quick installation guide and no manual. The full manual is on-line.
Other Thoughts: I read some other reviews and it sounded like it would cost about $30 to ship it, so i decided for that money I could just get a cheap graphics card. Installed new video card and it worked fine. The reason for the one egg is because I had to wait another week to order a video card. Sorry to say it but I don't think I will ever buy another ASRock product again.

Nothing Special
Pros: Lot of features, quick to set up.
Cons: Poor documentation compared to ASUS or Gigabyte. ASRock customer support is non-responsive. The PowerDVD 7.3 s/w that came with ASRock bundled suite bottlenecks with BluRay on Windows XP.
Other Thoughts: My build is : Win XP Home 4 Gb OCZ DDR2 1066 LG BluRay/HD - DVD ROM Athlon X2 7850 Kuma
I updated Windows, all drivers (including the ATI Catalyst), and PowerDVD. BluRay playback through the HDMI port on the mother board is choppy and drops frames. I am sending the HDMI signal to a Sony HD LCD projection TV at 1920 x 1080. Standard DVD play fine, but not BluRay.
I purchased this rig for the sole purpose of a media PC, and I do not recommend this motherboard due to ASRocks poor support.

asrock micro board
Pros: I bought this board for AM3 support, sb710, and general good layout. There have been several good reviews for this board. Lots of bios options, running x3 720 be @ 3.2 with all 4 cores right now. 3d mark 06 score 14954 with 4870 video card. How about posting up your success @ pcperspective, maybe we can help each other out with bios tweaks.
Cons: Like alot folks, Via drivers had to load several times for the audio to function properly. Having troubles with sleep mode, not returning properly. Also, with suspend to ram S3 in bios, not booting up or seeing dvd drive (sata). Also, usb onboard header pins will not power up my WD passport back up drive properly. I have to use the rear connections. This is a hassle for backing up data. I never had this problem on my previous gigabyte motherboard.
Other Thoughts: Have not found alot of support in forums for this board. Always nice to have someone to go to. With this board, you seem to be pretty much on your own. AMD x3 720 be 4 gig g.skill 1066 ram 640 wd black hd windows vista 64 sp2 xfx 1 gig 4870 pc power and cooling 610 w

Poor Spec Listing
Pros: Cheap, Solid Board, and Runs Ok
Cons: My stock ram failed after 14 months went from 3Gig ram to 2Gig ram. PC would not start with pci express card in. So bought this MB and new ram for it worked fine until i had to take out my video card so my pc would start. I called ASRock and they ask what my psu was (stock 400 watts) they tell me the minimum requirement is 500 Watts!!!!!
I checked newegg spec and ASRock website for the PSU spec and its not listed. If my board crashes under wrong psu its my fault..... They need to list all requirements. they reason they told it was not listed is cuz they dont want ppl buying 800 power supply units for thier products. if i would have known that i would have to buy a new PSU i would not have bought this board.
Other Thoughts: My old system was store bought gateway. 2 500 gig hard drives 1 crashed rite after 1 year so no replacement. 3 gig ram after 1 year the 2 512 sticks went bad. Video card would not allow system to start.
Now i got This MB 2 2 gig sticks of 1066 sdram from kingston hyper x an athena psu 550 watts continous @ 40 celcius no video card will buy a new 1 when i get this system working right. ASRock i will not buy again cuz they cant list all specs and i had to spend more money than i could afford, not a good thing. my origanal Phenome X4 9600 Agena

DOA
Pros: If there are any my experience with this MB has yet to make them a reality.
Cons: I had to RMA the first one in hopes that the second one would work. The first one would not even get as far as even trying to post. The second one tried to post at least but it did not detect my RAM. By the way the RAM works just fine on other pc's. Needless to say I am getting my money back and will get something else later.
Other Thoughts: It may just be my bad luck but it would seem there are now more bad egg reviews than when i first ordered this thing. Well anyway here is another one.

onboard Video issue
Pros: lots of Feature on a Micro ATX board BIO settings looks very sweet to tweek around. very nice lay out all around. if you using a PCI -Express card as video card u dont have to worry about the Card blocking the SATA port ( which alot of Micro ATX board having issue with). it comes with good OC feature as well if you plan to OC.
Cons: onboard Video never worked. tried it with 2 different monitor and 1 LCD TV it just wont work. but putting in a PCI express card works like a charm.
Other Thoughts: I notice alot of people having issue with the onboard video. if you plan to purchase this board for that. you might want to check some where else. the onboard do not seems to be very good as it break down so easy

UPDATED BIOS HANDLE AM3 CPU NICE
Pros: NO Need to update BIOS, Boot-up any AM3 CPU. This is the Only mATX board that have ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration) and all the 790 board. Works as good as the 790 board but cost cheaper. The difference between the 790 board is SB750 and this SB710. EZ overlocking in BIOS or Windows. Window 7 H/W Ready. 128M Side Port Memory, Hybrid CrossFire and Instant Boot under 5 seconds. 6 Sata port, 3 USB port, 2 Fan port with 3 pins and main CPU Fan with 4 pins some reviews say 3. NO.. This is 4 pins for sure. mounting bracket for the Heat Sink is very easy to remove. Solid Caps, Blue Board means Good Quality (no cheap stuff). I like it so much I bought another one. Easy Built. Stress FREE. Good Manuel, Look at First Page on the Book and show you where to hook-up HD/PWR and so on. This is the Six AsRock Brand I own, The very fist one is 4 years ago and still working great. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, All BLUE BOARD..
Cons: I bought this board hopeing to UNLOCK the Phenom II 550 dual core cpu because this got the ACC to unlock it, But it will not work I try everyting.. NOT really a Con, Because I know it need update on the BIOS in the Future it missing some codes to unlock, from reading reviews here some people got it to unlock on the Phenom 710 and 720 to all cores, I just hope ASRock come's out with the latest update to unlock it, or What the point having ACC in the first place.
Another Cons: Some People here put down their Tech Knowledge: HIGH and got D.O.A. board, return it and got another D.O.A board again??? HMMM!.. Funny.. I been builting computer Since 1993 order from many, many vendors Never have a D.O.A. Board. Yes!. Dead after 3 months, 6months, 1year and two years down the road. But never D.O.A. arrived. maybe I'am Lucky and Yes, I do belive there D.O.A. things got drop, toss during shipping maybe 3 out of 100 but not that much, mostly due to unexperance installer..
Other Thoughts: Good Board, Good Price, works great, This my second 780GMH worth every penny..

Great OC Capabilities!
Pros: The OC on this board is great! The ASRock OC Tuner works wonders and will do the OCing for you without going into the Bios. You just mess with the settings a little bit and the voltage until you find whats best for you. I OC'd my Phenom 810 from 2.6 GHz to 3.4GHz on all 4 cores activated.
Cons: None at all! This is probably the best single PCI Express 2.0 GPU motherboard on the market! When thinking about price/performance ratio. You find find an AMD board better then this one at the same price.
Other Thoughts: ASRock Rocks!!! It was meant for OCing!!!!

Very nice little guy
Pros: 1. Small board with almost every output ports you need. 2. Good price for 780G and SB710. 3. Come with the SATA cables and power converter. 3. BIOS with rich features but don't know how to use yet.
Cons: 1. The control and drivers of VIA sound chip are not good compared to Realtek in Asus M3A78-EM. (But I don't feel too much difference for the audio quality because I sent the AC3 signal to my reciver thru S/PDIF Output for movie ... gee, I spent almost half hour to figure out how to do it). 2. The manual with the board only cover the H/W, not BIOS or S/W (You have to download the full manual from their website).
Other Thoughts: I have an Asus M3A78-EM for my Phenom II X3 710 and runs fine. But I just wonder how the last core works in my 710. Most 790GX boards are either expensive or not M-ATX. After I saw some introduction about ASRock from an Asia website and saw it in NewEgg. Overall, it is a cheap and good AMD motherboard. Though my Phenom II 710 failed to boot after I enabled the ACC i BIOS. But the system works very well without ACC enabled. The board is installed to Antec MSK2480 with ATI 4830 for HTPC.

Almost perfect
Pros: Running an X3 720 OC to 3.2 Ghz no sweat! OS Win 7 64 bit with 8G ram No sweat! Video works great No Sweat!
Cons: For some odd reason the onboard Network port would not work! Plugged in the cable no lights! Ran the setup utility from the manufacturer as well as the Network (Realtek) manufacturer...no dice...ordered an PCIE x1 Network card which turned out to have the same chipset as on the motherboard...worked fine! Go figure...

Great value
Pros: I put this mobo in a CM 690 case to be a server for the home. It's got a 4050e and 4GB of RAM plus a stack of HDD's. It's easily running Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V, plus a Windows Home Server VM and and couple of XP VM's. I wanted something inexpensive and reliable that could accommodate more CPU/RAM in the future as needed.
Cons: The BIOS control for the CPU fan speed isn't working. I have a 4-pin fan on the CPU cooler, but no matter what I set it to, it always runs at the target speed, even if the temp range is 15 degrees higher than current. Maybe I'm a noob and can't configure it right. So I disabled it and use Speed Fan, which works fine to adjust the speed.

Good Board
Pros: Everything started up perfectly. Manual has very good instructions and had ZERO problems installing the board. I was kind of suprised how easy and fast it was. Took me about 1 hour to take out the old board and install the new one with everything else. I use the board with Windows 7 RC 64 bit. Asrock CD has the vista drivers and I was able to easily use those for windows 7. HDMI and VGA drivers work perfectly. I did not use the onboard ATI chip alot since I have a 4850 X2. Just tested it to see if it worked. Bios has alot of overclocking options for CPU, RAM, and everything else you want to overclock.
Cons: I have 2 cons but one is easily fixable.
1. Motherboard has 2 pci slots but if you install a video card the card blocks one of the pci slots so it really is 1 pci slot. That kind of tics me off.
2. I installed 4 gigs DDR2 1066 but when I booted up it said the ram speed is DDR2 800. The manual did not say to adjust the memory timing in the bios for ddr2 1066. I had left it on auto and auto is automatically set to ddr2 800. You have to specifically set it to the correct voltage for 1066. But since this is fixable I cannot really say it is a con. A little internet research fixed the problem. Manual should inform you though and it doesnt.
Other Thoughts: Other than the 1 and a half con it is an excellent board. I use the board with a Phenom II X4 920 AM+2, Kingston HyperX 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066, SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB, 600 Watts Antec PSU.

decent hardware, bad ATI drivers
Pros: Works great as a HTPC motherboard.
Cons: ATI drivers are a pain to install (setup program stalls), and when installed they don't seem to talk the same MPEG2 as my Hauppauge 1213 HVR-2250 dual TV tuner: after install there are all kinds or weird pink artifacts. Rollback to default Windows 7 Microsoft 64-bit drivers seems to fix things. Still get an occasional full pink screen on digital channels.
Other Thoughts: If you want hardware acceleration for a Hauppauge TV tuner go with an nVidia based board instead.

Great board
Pros: Everything works nicely together and has expandability for the future. (AM3)
BIOS has nice feature for setting quick overclocks by percentages.
Cons: It doesn't have the BIOS that I prefer, but it gets the job done. Other then that, none
Other Thoughts: If you buy this for the hybrid crossfire, be sure you check the compatible motherboard list. Mine was not, but no big deal.

Lots of board for a very low price
Pros: Side port memory and great integrated video performance. Nice bios with some automated features that make it easy such as the AM2 performance enhancement.
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: I had to RMA the first board because the sideport memory didn't work. NewEgg made it easy and did the turn around in about 5 days from my shipping the bad board to them. Really top notch and what I've been glad to come to expect from the best online parts place on the web. Thanks NewEgg.

Sideport video memory has BIG problems
Pros: Good features.
Sideport memory. This MB has integrated AMD HD 3200 video. Sideport memory is 128MB of video memory integrated on the MB. In the BIOS you can choose Sideport only, UMA-only (i.e. system RAM) or both. If choosing UMA or both you can also set the amount of UMA used or leave it on Auto (which sets it at 256MB).
The Cons may not be as issue for you, thus the 3 eggs.
Cons: 1. BUG IN BIOS VIDEO SETTINGS. No POST after reconfiguring video memory. Changing from 512MB of UMA-only to Sideport-only will cause non-POST. Fix is to clear the CMOS. Work-around is to reconfigure from 512MB of UMA to UMA Auto first then set to Sideport-only.
2. SIDEPORT MEMORY MUCH SLOWER THAN UMA. I did comparison test of Sideport versus 128MB UMA-only and found 3D graphics 3x faster with UMA! Sideport crashed on DirectX 10 test. 2D graphics are equal. Tested with Passmark Performance Test 7 on a fresh install of Vista 32-bit with SP1 and video drivers from ASRock CD. Tested via DVI-D at 1440 x 900 & 32-bit color depth. Hardware is listed below in Other Thoughts.
3. MECHANICAL WEAKNESS ON VGA PORT. VGA port is stacked over DVI port on two flexible plastic legs. Other MBs use metal reinforcements on legs.
4. NO BACKING PLATE FOR HSF on back of MB.
5. DOCUMENTATION. No printed manual, only 29 page Quick Installation Guide. Layout diagram missing on pa
Other Thoughts: MY EXPERIENCE: I've been building PC's since 1995 and have been A+ certified since 1998. Other certs: CNE, MCSE, ASE, CCNA, others.
TEST BED: 4 x 2GB G. Skill DDR2-800 DIMMs, Seasonic SS-350ES PSU, Phenom X3 8650 CPU, WD50000AAKS SATA2 HDD, Samsung SH-S223Q SATA2 DVD burner. All bought from New Egg with the MB.
Returned MB as defective for refund. Thanks New Egg!

on it's way back
Pros: nice feature set. needed on board display
Cons: cpu socket lock not working, chip came out of socket as I tried to remove stock cpu fan. after 2 days of satisfactory display, video ceased working. manual was poorly composed with many typographical errors.
Other Thoughts: second motherboard returned out of the last two purchased. First was a Gigabyte whose feature set was desireable enough to do a swap. This board's quality was so bad that a refund was my choice. Picked a Biostar to replace it. Wonder who is responsible for decline in quality. This ASROCK was my second in about 5 years and will be my last.

Updated: Preliminary Impressions
Pros: This is an update to my earlier review (Preliminary Impressions)
I finally got the system to post, boot and install win7 RC successfully. I must say that I am very happy, as I have not needed to install any additional drivers at all!
- 780G chipset, with SB710, better than SB700. - Installed Win 7 RC in a breeze.
Cons: - Would not post with my first (known good) power supply. - VIA sound instead of realtek, but hey, you win some, you lose some.
Other Thoughts: I don't know that the issue was with my first PSU (Delta, from an IBM server case). That PSU was my reference so far, as it works where many others had failed before. I guess you can't really trust any power supply nowadays, I learned to always have a spare on hand.

Love this Motherboard
Pros: Love this thing! Very solid feel and build quality. Fired right up and installed Windows 7 RC with no problems at all. Great price for the amount of quality. More BIOS options than Ill ever use. Love the EZ Overclock feature. Set my AMD 7750 to +5% and BAM! Ive got a 7850 without the extra $15.
Cons: Not a ton of expansion slots but this is a micro-ATX board. Other than that, none really.
Other Thoughts: Antec 300 (this case WILL fit a micro-ATX board) AMD Athlon X2 7750 Kuma 2.7 (@ 2.84) Western Digital 320 GB drive PC Power Silencer 500 Corsair 4 GB DDR2-800

Affordable, fast, almost perfect.
Pros: Booted right up, no issues whatsoever recognizing the CPU or any other components. Bios is very intuitive, and very easy to work with. Motherboard CPU fan control works great. Onboard video flies for regular everyday usage, but haven't tried it for games yet, although this wasn't built as a gaming PC.
Cons: VIA HD Audio drivers would not install easily in Windows 7 x64. Taking one egg off for this. To get them to install correctly, the Vista x64 driver installer had to be run as administrator and in Vista compatibility mode. Not a big deal, but with so many people using the Win7 RC now, I feel that support should be better.
Other Thoughts: This is my first ASRock board and I'm incredibly impressed. The driver issue isn't their fault, it's VIA's. Highly recommended regardless of this small issue.

Good Motherboard
Pros: Inexpensive motherboard with plenty of options. Using with Athlon 6000+ 2GB RAM Raid 0 XP Pro 32 bit. Great Performance.
Cons: Processory cooling fan mount somewhat flimsy, probably would not support a heavy aftermarket cooler.
Other Thoughts: My first ASRock build, and I am very satisfied.

Preliminary Impressions
Pros: Specs are pretty good on paper, hope it lives up to the specs when/if I can get it to post.
Cons: Possibly DOA: does not post. Fans spin, but nothing happens after that.
Other Thoughts: Manual that ships with the MB is only the quick install guide. The full manual is available online.
Used with Brand new Athlon X2 5050e and previously tested 2GB DDR2-800 (specific model is on MB QVL)
I will try again, then RMA if necessary.

This board rocks!!!
Pros: This board Rocks! That simple. I wanted to upgrade my system, but only had the money to do the MB at this time. So I needed it to be upgradable and backwards compatible. This board is it!! I'm running a Athlon 64x2 and it will handle up to the new Phenom's. It was pretty much a plug and play. I hand no problems at all and it has been running for a month non-stop so far. I will by another ASRock in the future.
Cons: The board is a little tight, but wasn't an issue for me. It only has 1 PCI Express slots was hopeing for at least 2, But again I was in a hurry to purchase.
Other Thoughts: A really nice board for the budget and so far so good. And my CPU is running faster that on my MSI board I replaced!!!

Good Board Bad Luck, Maybe?
Pros: This board was everything i was looking for, Am2+ with support for newer CPUs, a lot of motherboard features, SB710 south bridge chipset, 3 video outputs, feature packed bios.
Cons: Really hot south bridge, forget water boarding duct tape a guys finger to this thing and he will be singing like a canary. Kind of cramped even for a MATX (I have big hands).
Other Thoughts: Seem to be one of the lucky few to receive a defective board. PC would reboot or either shutdown during or after the post, even browsing through the bios it would reboot, if it did start up it would run for a couple of minutes the it would shut down, wish i wasn't so lucky sometimes.

Pros: fair size, versitile for new, old, small and large cases.
easy installation, plenty of room for ram.
Cons: kind of confusing labeling on motherboard but then again, what motherboard is completely idiot proof?

Garbage
Pros: It worked for a short time.
Cons: It does not work, it hangs at the bios after just over a month of use. Asrock wants $35 plus shipping for me to get a new or fix this one. I will never buy Asrock again!!!!
Other Thoughts: Very Disappointed.

Good, clean mobo
Pros: Great price, good choice of features, stable and easy to work with. Easy install, booted right up with no problems, set DDR voltage to 2.0, RAM speed to 1066. Loaded Vista 64bit without a hitch. Easy to overclock. Via sound was good, no static or background noise.
Cons: Not much of a con, but loaded Windows7 RC, had a little trouble with drivers, most of the Vista 64 drivers work, except for VIA, they do have some Windows7 64 Beta drivers out now though. Can't take an egg off for using a OS that isn't even released yet. No firewire, but knew that going in, i can read specs.
Other Thoughts: Sent an e-mail to Asrock tech support, got a reply within hours. Good work there. PhenomII 720, G.Skill 2x2 GB of DDR2 1066, 9600GSO. Working and ordering from newegg is always a pleasure, they run a good business.

Patience Rewarded
Pros: Feature rich for home theater PC application. Has FDD connector.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: After first open-box unit went casters up, ordered second. Had intermittent crash, freeze and reboot problems. Noted that they ceased when 4 cores were not at 100% (running Seti@Home). Led me to suspect voltage. Turns out that the "AUTO" selection, in BIOS, for DDR2 RAM voltage was the problem. MANUAL SET to correct voltage (2.2V) eliminated the bug. Has run 24/7 without further incidents.

my first ASRock MB works well
Pros: This is a good MB. ASRock really rocks! Keep up the good work ASRock. Newegg also rocks! You both keep up the good work. Your value is my confidence in you when I purchase your things. I wish every store in America like Newegg.
Cons: Non, the board works well with my AMD X2 6000 - 125 watts. It truly beat my previous Gigabyte MB. I never go back to Gigabyte. All Gigabyte can do is just color their MB to attract buyers. This strategy does not work in today economy. Quality counts, color is harmful and meaningless. Gigabyte should concentrate on quality of your products.
Other Thoughts: I will look forward to ASRock future high tech products. Keep up the good work ASRock. Remember it is hard to get a new loyal customer.

DOA
Pros: Don't know, never worked.
Cons: No video (tried both outputs), hard disk wouldn't spin up. Case and CPU fans operated so it was getting power.
Other Thoughts: Looked good on paper and others have had good luck but it didn't work out for me. This was a simple mobo swapped (I've done it many times) so I know all the other components were good.

Undervolting
Pros: It can undervolt the cpu, not just overclocking. With lower cpu voltage, the fan speed can be lower, hence quieter. In bios, the cpu voltage can be lowered, while the freq is fixed at the same time. In linux, one can use phc tools to adjust CPU voltages. I guess there must be some easier tools in windows but I'm not using windows.
Cons: Northbridge is quite hot since there is no wind around it. One need to put a fan for it if feels hot, and then it is cool. I guess this is a common problem for many mother boards so no egg off.
Other Thoughts: I don't hear any noise from the sound chip as some others did. Some mentioned the PCI/PCIe spacing problem. It is a problem with the mATX size. One should should choose an ATX board instead if several cards are going to be installed.

No Regerts Here.
Pros: BIOS has many options. 6 onboard SATA connections was a buying factor as was the family of CPU's you can use.
Cons: Doesn't support DDR3 memory. ( reason why it only gets 4 eggs)
Other Thoughts: The reason why I bought this MB was the fact that I can upgrade to the newer chips and keep the same MB. I'm using the AMD 64 X2 6400+ chip at this point. When the prices of the AM3 chips are at a price I like, I can always just upgrade without any issues.

As always, ASRock
Pros: My second ASRock board... I've had no troubles, I think the BIOS they choose to use are great, and the features they include for the price provides extreme value by comparison to other manufacturers
Cons: None, personally. When I read the reviews for ASRock boards, I can't believe how many people get DOA boards. Are they newbies who bought the board because it's a value play, and then shock the p*$$ out of them... or is there a real QC issue here? I just know I haven't had a single problem yet after 2 boards, and even if I do, I'll probably give ASRock the benefit of the doubt unless said problems get ridiculous.
Other Thoughts: Great value.

Great Mobo
Pros: I love this board. Everything is simple to use, even the fine tuning equipment that comes with the BIOS and install CD. Nothing gets in the way of others. I have a fairly large graphics card sitting in this and nothing is even close to touching it.
Cons: People who whine for ignorant reasons... All new motherboards will only have ONE PATA connection because it is a dying technology and extremely out dated. If you're paying for nice parts for your computer, then shell out $40 and get a SATA HD lol... Don't knock eggs off because you didn't care to look at what you're buying... or if its DOA
Other Thoughts: Using my old mobo's mGPU to make fried eggs for breakfast now :D

This MB AS-Rocks
Pros: Great, Great, Great!!! Mine original mb fried so upon many weeks of reading articles, newegg reviews and specific needs i bought this Motherboard. Installed very nicely and LOVE the set-up.
Cons: No quick install guide. Just basic product info book. ASRock should print a quick install guide to help some, for ppl withh less understanding as myself!
Other Thoughts: Still a great product tho!!! Best thing ever is that i can still use my tv tuner card and the Apollo Radeon HD 4670 that i bought with the board. Only problem is my hard drive crashed. Owned for 2 weeks. will update after new hard drive comes in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Board
Pros: All in one and an easy install. DVI output! Decent BIOS options and great upgrade possibilities.
I play older games such as Half-Life and Day of Defeat and the built in gfx handle them well. Got a decent Vista(Business 64bit) rating out of it as well.
I've had absolutely no hiccups with this setup at all. Lian-Li All Aluminum case, AthlonX2(5050e), 4GB OCZ Ram
Cons: None as of yet. Install and run.
Other Thoughts: For under 100 bucks and the features, there's no way to go wrong unless you get a DOA which seems to be rare for AsRock.

Good MB for the price
Pros: I really like this MB. Painless to install and configure. Having multiple video inputs is great, gives you lots of options. Runs well with Vista Media Center set up as a home theater. I have mine connected via the HDMI port to a 46 inch LCD and the image is fantastic. This MB supports high def (1080p), just make sure you follow the hardware requirements in the manual.
Cons: The only drawback I have had with this board is the HDMI port is a little flaky. The contact on it isn't great (it seems too lose) and I lose audio and sometimes both audio and video from it from time to time.

ALL GOOD
Pros: Install went very smoothly, system if as fast as I expected. I was going to use the DVI-D port for my DLP TV (1280x720native), but I am now using HDMI (I will explain in CONS). I have not overclocked yet, but I think it would be easy to hit 3.0ghz on the stock cooler the CPU came with. I just don't want the fan to spin up and faster than it has to, and I don't really need the speed anyway.
my HTPC system: Vista 32bit SP1 this board AMD 7750 2GB (2x1) OCZ 1066 (must set to run at this speed in the bios) Sony BC-5100S BR drive Rosewill 2.4ghz slim keyboard and mouse
Cons: this is why only 4 eggs: As a reviewer below stated; there is an overpowering background noise that comes from the VIA VT1708S. When I had the system booted and had a test movie in, my wife said, "turn it down, it's going to be too loud." (she was referring the the hum/hiss she could hear, and she assumed it was because I had the volume blasted). BUT it wasn't turned up at all... I noticed that on ASRock's website they list the driver version as 6.6, but if you go get the driver from VIA, it's version 6.5. ?? I installed 6.6, maybe 6.5 doesn't have this problem.
Anyway, it's a serious problem for HTPC builds. The good news is: I am now using the HDMI port (for video AND audio), and it sounds PERFECTLY CLEAN.
had I NEEDED to use the standard audio output, it would have been unacceptable. I would have had to purchase a standalone PCI audio card.
Other Thoughts: I did find somewhere online that someone fixed the noise issue by changing the audio output to 16bit (from 24bit), I didn't bother trying this, as I switched to HDMI and problems went away.

Review specs
Pros: - Small board for smaller cases - Fired up the 1st time no problem - Came with the latest bios (which supports Kuma 7850) - Overlcoking software seems neat (have not tried yet) - Runs hotter than my previous set up (idles at about 41 C) - well priced
Cons: - On-board audo is crackly - Only 2 PCI slots, and one will get covered by Video Card (so only 1 PCI) - Only 1 IDE for those of us who have not yet updated everything to SATA - Can't get my Power LED to work (might be my poor skills)
Other Thoughts: Like everything about this board, just wish I had another PCI and IDE connector, but not a big deal.
Newegg rocks as usual!

Expections met
Pros: Everything is working fine out of the box, no problems, all default settings, recognized my 7750 kuma and 2gig kit of A-Data. So far all ports are working fine; haven't tested the HDMI or Firewire port yet.
Cons: Nothing except that as others have mentioned the northbridge gets hot. Also the included manual doesn't have a picture or BIOS settings info so check online for jumper placement and such beforehand.
Other Thoughts: The Ram slots glow under my blue led fan.

Pros: Great, Stable board. I love these Small boards that pack a lot of power. Onboard video is great for older games. Love the built in Video. Mixed feelings about the audio. Awesome price for what you get. 4 memory slots is a must in my book even though it is DDR2. Board seems stable and there are a ton of options in the Bios. My first ASRock board and I love it. We will see how it does in the long run though.
Cons: Board is a tad flimsy. Just be careful and there will be no problems. I am a bit clumsy sometimes lol. Raid was a little hard to set up but it may just be that this is my first time with this setup.
I like this board so much I may have to buy another one. lol.
Other Thoughts: I put a Phenom II X3 710 4 Gigs of Kingston HyperX T1 DDR2 1066 I used my old Power Supply = Thermaltake 480 Watt My old Plextor DVD Burner and My old 2X Raptors in Raid 0. System is definitely rockin. I have yet to throw any big games at it. We will see.

Feature Packed Board!
Pros: I puchased this board to temporarily replace an ASUS M3A78 I had to RMA. I installed an AMD athlon 64 X2 5000+ (sweet little CPU) and 2 gigs of G.Skill DDR2-800. As with my last 2 ASROCK boards, this one is runnning XP Home with no problems. I even like the onboard graphics, although I will eventually reinstall mt Palit HD 3870.
Cons: As with the M3A78, the onboard VIA HD audio sounds really good except for the electrical noise in the background. I just think this could be an inherent problem with that particular VIA chip. I won't knock off an egg, simply because I have heard the same interference with that particular chipset on other boards.
Other Thoughts: When I started this build, I wanted to try something "different" in a motherboard, so I didn't use an ASROCK. What a mistake on my part. This board is typical ASROCK. Lots of features at a reasonable price. I'm happy.

Newegg or is it Usedegg?
Pros: Lots of good features. Well worth the money. I like the built in video. I don't play many games so it will be fine for what I use it for. It plays 1080p video but I don't have a blu-ray player yet so I can't test it out. Thats next on my list. You do get a lot of bang for the buck here.. If you're using 1066 DDRII memory, they recommend you install them in slots 3 and 4 instead of 1 and 2. If you're still shopping for the idead power supply for this motherboard, then I recommend Item#:N82E16817182159. A Rosewill RG430-2 430W 80Plus Certified Power Supply. It's so silent I had to feel for airflow to tell if it was on. It has free shipping. The case I used was Item#:N82E16811133045 Thermaltake LANBOX Lite VF6000BNS. One of the nicest systems I've ever built.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: First one was bad. It looked slightly used when I took it out of the box. It appears as though someone else might have purchased this and also sent it back. It cost me 10 bucks to mail it back, but the turn around time was reasonable.. Only 1 week. :-\ This is the second time in the last 9 years Newegg might have mailed me a used item - sold as new. Last time it happened they paid for the return shipping.. Oh well..

ASRock A780GMH
Pros: Feature-rich bios. Very cheap, onboard video is good for, you know, onboard video. InstantBoot is a nice feature. Supports AM3.
Cons: For the price, there is none.
Other Thoughts: eSATA port or another PCIe slot would've been nice, but this is a very good value.

Decent Micro board for those on a budget
Pros: For being Micro-ATX there are lots of options in BIOS for the intermediate tweaker such as myself. Also what is good is there are 4 RAM slots. Despite one complaint listed in CONs below, I was able to hook up all my cables and fans with ease and no complications. The layout and design of the board is above average which is all the more important when dealing with a smaller motherboard like this. Good chipset. Installed quickly and booted up fine and have not run into any problems
Cons: For those of you who are gamers take note. One of the only 2 PCI slots is right next to the PCI-Express so if you have a card like the 8800GT be prepared to see your video card partly covering the PCI slot as well thus rendering it useless space. I had 2 PCI cards to install and was at first horrified seeing I was only going to be able to use 1 PCI slot (video capture card and a sound card) so luckily the board has onboard sound so I didn’t have to make a choice.
Other Thoughts: In the end- I am quite happy with this motherboard. The happiest I have been with a motherboard in years. My last board was an ASUS MN2 board and even though ASUS could have released a BIOS that supported the Phenom processors- they didn’t thus forcing me to upgrade. I am glad I did. I didn’t care for that ASUS board. So thanks for the non-support as I am happier now.
I have overclocked my Phenom 2 720 processor to 3.2 without even increasing voltage and unlocked the 4th core with ease. Now it is time to get my L4D on again.
My setup- Phenom 2 720 BE (OC 3.2 and 4th core unlocked) Vista 64 Ultimate 4 Gigs Patriot DDR-2 800 ram PNY 8800GT XLR8 23” Acer LCD

Great board, features, price
Pros: great board layout, nice addons like 128MB side port mem, wild OC options
Cons: onboard audio could be a little better
Other Thoughts: an amazing value board that packs in more features than most full-sized board.
I love how you don't have to find the right holes for standoffs to go in M-ATX boards! Why dosen't ATX already do this?
