bad luck i guess
Pros: overall the board was great and i couldnt have asked for better technical support from EVGA. lots of wonderful features and had no compatability issues what so ever.
Cons: top pci-e slot would not work for my EVGA gts 250. worked fine with an ATI HD 4650 though.
Other Thoughts: assuming i had badluck with the board. newegg stopped selling it after i RMA'd it so i purchased the same board from another retailer and have zero issues so far.

Does not support 9505 quad cores
Pros: nice board, runs my 2.2 dual core great.
Cons: even though it lists that it works with core 2 quads they do not support the Q9505. evga said i would have to get another cpu if i wanted to use that board.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Please contact us at (888) 880-3842 and we will work with you to find a solution to the issue. Thank you Shannon

Pros: Great motherboard.
Cons: First of all the on board Ethernet port is done, I RMAed it and got a new one same problem. Apparently I'm not the only one, I went out and got a PCI Ethernet port and now everything works fine. The only other con I can think us is it only has 1 USB plug on the motherboard (meaning it can only support 2 USB ports on your box, mine has 4 so 2 dont work)
Other Thoughts: Once I fixed the onboard Network Card it works amazing.

NO 45nm Support
Pros: None
Cons: There was no mention in the information about this board not supporting 45nm processors. E-VGA confirmed it, the only way to get 45nm support is to update the BIOS, but that's kinda hard to do considering I have a 45nm CPU and don't have any older C2Ds laying around.
Other Thoughts: Newegg's getting this one back...

Pros: Good price Haven't been able to utilize SLI capabilities yet, but should be fun
Cons: Onboard LAN is screwy. I did more research and realized that many, many people with this board are having this problem. Either they can't connect to the internet, or in my case all the downloads are getting corrupted. I just got a separate NIC, so hopefully this will solve the problem. I don't know if this is a common thing with these boards, but its definitely a downer when you're expecting it to work out of the box.
I had this problem in both Vista and Win 7.
Other Thoughts: Not a terrible experience on my first build, so I guess thats a plus. Other than the onboard LAN problem I haven't had any other issues, so if you decide on this board just keep in mind that you may need to get a replacement NIC!

Great Mobo
Pros: This is a great motherboard for the price. I have had almost no problems with it since i got it. i did have a doa board when i first got it, but newegg was awesome and had great turnaround
Cons: The sata connectors are a little bit fragile so be careful when plugging them in i have broken one but the rest of the motherboard still works so i am happy. Also you need to have a fairly high understanding of how to flash the bios and all the other technical stuff that goes with it.
Other Thoughts: Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz OC'ED to 3.6Ghz and this is a 45nm cpu and it posted fine when i first got it. 6GB 800MHZ RAM XfX Force 9800GT Windows 7

Missing Info
Pros: It's a mobo
Cons: They left some important information out of the specifications
Other Thoughts: Okay, so, long story short, this board doesn't work with 45 nm cpu's. Apparently they just "forgot" to mention this in the description/specifications. I got this board and the Q8200, installed and turned on...BIOS never started. Called EVGA and RMA'd...twice.Then they told me about the cpu thing. Way to go guys.

Not very happy
Pros: The motherboard started off as a very good buy. The board was staying cool and working.
Cons: The board died on me after 2 months. It gives me a BSOD now when I start my computer up. Guess I should look for a new board..

Wroks great
Pros: Great mobo no problems what so ever. I have a Q6600 overclocked to 3.0ghz and its been running that when i first build it. No bios needed or any thing for the quad core so plug and play for the most part. Had this Mobo for 10 months strong
Cons: Not a big fan of the small little fans on the northbridge might have some problems down the road but so far so good
Other Thoughts: great for the money

Works great, when it does!
Pros: Simple layout.
Cons: Board doesn't work with quadcore. So instead of purchasing a new mobo, i exchanged processor. (bad idea) Failed 2 months after.
Other Thoughts: I would strongly suggest considering a different motherboard.

They are working with me
Pros: EVGA is workin with me to get a rev'd bios through the RMA process. It looks great. Great layout.
Cons: Quad cores will not post. There is a known issue with the Q9xxx and Q8xxx quad cores not booting with the April 09 bios rev. EVGA is working with me though and I should be rolling sometime next week. I used the Q9400 and it wouldn't post.
Other Thoughts: I have already submitted 2 reviews on this board when I was still a little angry from the debugging process and I feel bad now that I was so harsh on evga and even Newegg. These are great components and I just had bad luck with incompatability. I look forward to getting my rma back and finally getting this thing running. This is the chance you take when building your own machine.

Doesn't even post with quad core
Pros: It looks nice. Nice layout.
Cons: This board will not post with a Q9xxx or Q8xxx quad core processor! If you are a gamer, chances are you will try and use a quad core with this board and sorry to say the bios won't even post. You get a 4E error that won't even allow you to change boot order to flash. Then, when you report the issue to evga, they tell you to get a compatible processor to start and flash the bios!? Sorry, I don't have spare dual cores laying around. The Q9400 should have been compatible! It was advertised as being quad core compatible.
Other Thoughts: Evga has given me great products in the past and I expected nothing but the best from them. This was a huge letdown and now I am having to send multiple emails just to try and RMA it, meanwhile my parts just sit there like a big paperweight.

Not as advertised
Pros: It looks pretty.
Cons: It will not post with Q8xxx or Q9xxx quad core cpu's! They advertised that it would. If you are getting a socket 775 mobo and are a gamer, the chances are pretty good that you are going to be using a quad core. I installed a Q9400 in mine and it won't even post. I have seen the bios find the processor twice, but most of the time it doesn't even do that. Can't even get to bios to make changes to boot order to flash bios! I have had great luck with evga in the past but this is just unacceptable. Bad form evga and Newegg, you should discontinue this product before it blemishes your good name.
Other Thoughts: Going to try and flash the bios, but I doubt I can even do that if I can't get to the bios to change to boot order. I see an RMA in my near future. The forums say that the For the Win version supports the quad cores. I am not looking forward to taking all this apart.

Problems
Pros: Looks nice, easy install like any other mobo.
Cons: NIC didn't work and bios needed to be updated. Had to RMA the board. Skip this board if not familiar with bios flashing.
Other Thoughts: EVGA customer support is not worth dealing with. Went through 2 boards with them. No refunds or real options given to us except play it their way.

WOW
Pros: This is probably the best MOBO I have ever bought. I've built 4 computers now and this is by far the BEST! On board smart fan control, SLI capability and it coupled with an SLI EVGA video card I don't think there is anything this can't do!
Cons: None at all!

Wouldn't run to reflash with Core 2 Quad
Pros: I still really like the board layout and am very happy with the other one I bought in January
Cons: The one I received had the Apr 09 BIOS which appears to not work with the Core 2 Quads. I tried the other cpu from my other eVga 750i bought in Jan (which had no trouble with the Core 2 Quad), but still got the 4e error. Not having a Dou to reflash with, I had to RMA it. They should have tested the BIOS with a Quad before releasing it, as it used to work with older BIOS revs
Other Thoughts: If you happen to have a Core 2 Duo, even to reflash with the Set 09 BIOS for use with a Quad, its a good layout for a multi monitor system. I have 6 22" LCD's running off 2 9500gt's and an FX 5500 running Debian Lenny Linux very stable.

Had a prob initially with onboard LAN, but BIOS flash fixed it
Pros: Other than the initial problem with the onboard LAN needing a BIOS update to work under Linux (running Debian Lenny), its been perfect. Its fast and has the 2 PCIe x 16 slots, plus more PCI slots, so with the Core 2 Quad Q9400 and 8 gb, its able to run my 6 displays with oodles of power to spare
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I ordered another to replace another mfr's board that had trouble, and hope it works as well as the first

evga 750i
Pros: Is a simple design, has sli, all the features you need, has the same bios as the For the wind model (i own both) so it can be overclocked and you can manualy put in memory timmings. small northbridge cools pretty good actually!
Cons: none!
Other Thoughts: I am really impressed, i hooked everthing up and it posted and worked first try! it has no glitches or problems, have not seen a single blue screen yet, it just works perfect with no tunning! I'm so lucky, i tell myself not to get used to it its a rare thing!

Major Issues
Pros: Fast at what is actually functional, not including boot.
Cons: It sucks. I am on 2nd bad board and this one worse that the first. The first, did well until u try and download which it could not do without corrupting it. The second, will not make an online connection. Who has 2-3 months to go through this? Had to take a computer home from work just to get by.
Other Thoughts: I have 2 680i, and 1 780i all EVGA. This board is really changing my attitude. It should probably be off the market, but there are no 775 slot boards left out there.

@ motherboard manufacturers...
Pros: It worked for 45 minutes with no issues. Was really simple to set up.
Cons: It worked for 45 minutes with no issues. About 45 minutes into running Windows, the machine powered down on its own and never came back up. The new motherboard was replaced with the original motherboard and the system came back up as expected.
Other Thoughts: While trolling the motherboard reviews, it seems there is a trend with the motherboard manufacturers. I see quite a few reviews stating that the unit either came DOA or failed as an infant. I am beginning to wonder if these companies even test there hardware. This is a the third motherboard (out of 5 I have purchased) that I have had issues with. It isn't just with one manufacturer either. I would like to RMA for a replacement, however I am very uncertain that getting the same product or even a different board would guard me from what I would consider lack of adequate testing. I am certainly considering requesting a refund and waiting for motherboard to appear on the market with good reliable ratings.

Rebate is there for a reason.
Pros: cheap- SLI if the MB works.
Cons: This is my second EVGA motherboard to replace my dead 680i SLI - whose RMA also died after two days. The board looks good in theory but not in execution. This board is very faulty . These (EVGA nforce) motherboards have stability problems, do not overclock at all. Even this one died on me in a few days - goes straight to FF. Waiting on the RMA process. Don't get me wrong EVGA has a great customer service and RMA process. But they got some quality issues with the nforce series. I don't like the inconvenience of unplugging stuff, paying the shipping, waiting for a week every time the mb dies. I am never ever gonna buy an EVGA product again.
Other Thoughts: spend a little more, Invest in something better stay away from EVGA

EVGA comes through again
Pros: This is in reference to my previous review now that i have recieved my RMA.
EVGA really came through for me
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: RMA came in today. EVGA sent me the f t w edition of this board. I hooked up my Q9550 and it ran great first time. It does run a bit hot for my liking but that is the CPU cooler's fault and not the board.
If you can afford it and plan to use a quad core i would get the F T W version of this board. If you just want a dual core then this board works great.
There's a reason i always use EVGA when i can.

Almost one year and still an awesome board
Pros: I've owned this board for almost a year now and I can't say enough good things about it. I've been running it in SLI with 2 EVGA 9800 GTX with 4 gig of ram and this board has done everything i've asked of it and more. It has made me a believer in the EVGA brand and all future boards I purchase will carry its mark. Well done!
Cons: Other than the minor inconvenience of no printed manual and a few errors in the PDF manual I can't really say that there are any.
Other Thoughts: I would also like to add that my shopping experience with NewEgg has been one of the best online purchases I have made.

Great board, subpar bios
Pros: Great board, all the features I need, good price.
Cons: The bios currently shipping has issues with some Quad core processors. Would be a big headache for someone without access to a spare non quad core processor. Kind of suprised its still available knowing the issues they are having. EVGA support is great and they will take care of the issue promptly, but it shouldn't have to come to that with a well known issue.
Other Thoughts: Bought this board in Feb and again Sept. The board from Feb works flawlessly with every processor I have tried. The one I recieved today would not boot with the Q8400 I purchased with it. I read that it had some issues with the Quad cores, so I put the Q8400 in my other PC with the 750 and it booted right up. So I had a spare c2d laying around and put it in the new 750 and updated the bios to the current 9/10/2009 version (i750s20w). It would not even post after that. After some research I found the I750S20K bios through a search of the EVGA forums, loaded it and it booted fine. Loaded windows and everything is great. I knew I might have issues from reading the reviews here, and figured the newest bios would fix it, was disapointed it didn't. Maybe a disclaimer needs to be added or remove the C2Q from the supported processors list until it ships with an updated bios.
Still a wonderful board.

Almost but not quite; Issues
Pros: Price, SLI ready, tech support is great
Cons: had a corroded MB battery, Packaging, Not compatible with Q8400 quad core processor, instructions are very vague, board is on the larger side.
Other Thoughts: I bought this board strickly for the SLI. I tried to fire her up and nothing happened. I talked to tech support, which was very helpfull, and they had me pop out my MB battery. It was corroded. But this wasn't my problem at all. The MB wasn't even compatible with my Q8400 quad core. EVGA doesn't even support that processor. I was very disappointed! The board is also big. I have a Antec Nine hundred and two case. The SATA ports on the board ram right into the case and make some of them unusable. Because of all the issues I RMA the MB and got a Gigabyte. The Gigabyte board worked great! And after seeing the Gigabyte packaging and instructions it really made the EVGA board look bad. The EVGA board has one piece of paper for the instructions. Gigabyte included two very helpfull manuals. This seems like a good board and possibly is, just not for my setup. 2/5 eggs

EVGA, great as always
Pros: Great board. Very nice layout with everything i needed. I've built PC's for friends with EVGA 730i boards and when i decided to upgrade mine i decided i would move up to the 750i board.
Very impressed
Cons: Worked great with my core2duo but not at all with a q9550. See below for more.
Other Thoughts: This has been the only issue with mine. When i bought it I was running an intel core2duo. Ran perfectly and still does. Just last week i decided that i wanted to finally do my further upgrade to an intel core2quad q9550. Ran the bios flash that i heard was needed and thought i would be good to go. Started it up for the first time and it hung up during the initial boot. Got a bit frustrated and decided to try it again. Same thing. So i called up EVGA tech support and told them my situation. We tried for about 2 hours straight probably 20 different ideas and nothing worked. So they concluded that the board had an issue and would RMA it for me. they ensured me that my new board will work with the q9550. The RMA is still in process so i will update when it happens but i'm pretty positive that this was just a minor fluke.

Pros: Well laid out board. Great support from EVGA (24 hour by phone!!! with an average wait time of 5-10 minutes).
Cons: Not enough on board USB 2.0 connectors for my front panel. Oh well. See other thoughts.
-2 eggs for my trouble. +1 egg for their awesome 24 hour phone support.
Other Thoughts: Other posters have made mention of this. In particular is the poor guy who RMA'd his board to Cali b/c the board "didn't support the 9550".
This is my second one of these to come in. The first was DOA (It happens). This one would hang up on the 4E POST code. Wierded me out since I hadn't OC'd it yet, and didn't go away with a CMOS Clear. Anyway...
It appears that while the board can support quad core CPU's, it sometimes has issues and you have to flash the BIOS.
How can you do that if it won't POST? you ask...
Take your quad out, plug in a dual. Notice that it POSTS just fine. Flash the BIOS. Trade the dual back for your quad, and watch as the board POSTs without incident.
Hassle ? Sure. Without question. But is it less of a hassle than RMA'ing your board? Definitely. So...if you are getting this board with a quad core CPU, and you hang up on the 4E POST code...now you know why, and what you must do to fix the issue.
Hope this helps someone.

Incompatible with Q9550
Pros: Great layout of the board. Looks great, lots of connections.
Cons: EVGA claims that the board is compatible with Core 2 Quads via a BIOS flash updated 9/10/09 from their site. After doing so with a Celeron I picked up, it was still not booting with the Quad.
Other Thoughts: Even though I had a hell of a time putting in CPU's, taking them out, putting them back in, I still give this board 3 eggs. EVGA's customer service is absolutely stellar. I had the same guy walking me through my problems and helping me out. At the moment, they're approving an RMA for me to ship this back and to send me a 750i SLI (F)TW! Hopefully it'll work out of the box!

This Board Rocks
Pros: Where do I start? It's a very well laid out board, everything is where it needs to be for simple installation. The overclocking capabilities make this board a real performer.
Cons: The Ethernet connection gave me a bit of a hassle at first but with the tech support eVGA has that problem was handled in just a matter of minutes. I only had to wait on hold for a couple minutes.
Other Thoughts: I replaced an ASUS P5LD2 and 1900 all in wonder with this board 4 gigs of OCZ DDR2 800 SLI ram and 2 eVGA 8600 gts cards in SLI. Video quality went down (weaker graphics cards) but the pc is a bit fast at default. Ill be overclocking this later today and fine tuning it to get more out of it. The ASUS set up pulled 10,250 in 3DMark05 with a 1385 fsb and the e6600 @ 3.114 gigs. This setup pulled 11,495 at default. A slight increase but I can see where overclocking this to the same specs as the ASUS will raise those numbers significantly. I highly recommend this boars. Its quality plus and eVGA has awesome tech support.

Same as it ever was.
Pros: None yet.
Cons: The claim that this board supports Intel Core 2 Quad processors is quite misleading. I tried a Q9550 in it and had the same results as everyone else. Not even a POST.
Other Thoughts: After a very frustrating experience with EVGA's tech support I was informed that this board does not support 45nm procs. The RMA process is exhausting and I had to ship my board to Brea, CA at my own expense. That was well over a week ago and I still haven't received the replacement. I noticed a response from EVGA to another user's post that this board will support the Q9550 with the correct BIOS revision. If that is true, then how do you flash the BIOS when it won't even POST?
Manufacturer Response:Hi, This is not the case, we have a BIOS update to address some 45nm compatibility, if you do not have a spare CPU to initiate the flash then we can issue a replacement with the latest BIOS. Thanks, Jacob

Great board
Pros: Great board, good gaming board. Does the job, looks cool. Worth the $.
Cons: Had to call EVGA support in order to find the bios I needed to flash to get my core2quad q8200 to work with this mobo. Had to use a 775 celeron from work but once I flashed them it worked fine.
Other Thoughts: Call EVGA support if you get this board with a core2quad. Tell them to email you the newest bios revision. It also helps if you register the product.

Incompatible with Q8xxx Q9xxx CPUs
Pros: Works great for everything except cpu.
Cons: There is a KNOWN issue with this board and some core2quad processors. There have been reported successes with another bios revision, but I could not get it to work. Also, you will need a cpu that can post in order to update the bios, a soc775 celeron works for the task and is rather cheep
Other Thoughts: Don't buy unless you know your cpu is not affected. Get the f t w edition instead.

Not as compatible as advertised...
Pros: Couldn't tell you -- so far hasn't worked. In theory? 2-way SLI is kinda nice for the price but for the price, I've had it a few weeks now and it doesn't work.
Cons: I have an Intel Q9400 that this board will not boot with, period. EVGA indicates this board is compatible with many processors that it seems it isn't compatible with. I've seen comments here on NewEgg and other places that there are issues with Q9400 and Q9550 chips. I saw comments here from EVGA staff who recommended flashing the bios -- which I did by having to yank an old E4300 out of an older box. Even with the newest posted bios from the manufacturer's website, this board still won't boot with the Q9400.
Other Thoughts: Believe it or not -- I still have the utmost respect for EVGA as a company. That said, this board is garbage. DO NOT BUY IT. EVGA is a great company but has completely dropped the ball in the manufacture or design of this board. My first warning sign was my first tech support call when the guy was adamant that it was likely not the processor that was bad. Boy did I wish I read between the lines instead of RMA'ing the processor first. Now I have to RMA the board (yay for even MORE time before I can get this new system running) and hope that they finally fixed whatever design flaw caused all this in the first place. Seriously -- I'm not bashing EVGA. Every company has its lemons. This board just happens to be one of EVGA's lemons. They seem sincere in their wish to right the issue and I'll give them that chance. To reiterate: EVGA = Good. This board = Bad.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Hello, Thank you for the feedback. I apologize about the issues you are experiencing with your product. Misleading reviews
Pros: Installed with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. 1st time go on boot, no problems with an E6300 dual core Pentium, 2G's of Crucial Tracer, and an EVGA 9600 GSO 1G. No phantom NIC problems that I've read about in the reviews, and BIOS is current version out of the box. Perfect board for a mid-range build that won't break the bank, and fast enough to make you wanna smack your granny. Good job EVGA, and thank you NEWEGG for getting me the goods in 2 days, not 3!
Cons: Only 1 USB header, but with 6 rear USB ports, do you really need any more?
Other Thoughts: BIOS has plenty of tweakability to make any OCer happy, definitely a solid board worth every penny of the price tag. Will recommend this board to any builder on a budget.

Great for Basic Builds
Pros: Sweet board for basic builds, if you are into building compouters or building your own rigs (but not being a heavy mod-er) then this board works fine.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: If you want a board with more space or more bells and whistles, go get one...it's not like your going to get more than exactly what you pay for.

Optimists need not apply
Pros: Sli, Sata and power ports are located in good spots and make cable management easy but the pros stop there.
Cons: This board has been a nightmare since i got it. Youll need to do a complete Windows reinstall if you go from a gigabyte board to this one. Unless you know how to do a sysprep. Then you can work your way around having to do a windows reinstall. Once i was able to get it to post with my Q6600, i wanted to get it compatible with my Q9550, and thats where the fun started. I downloaded the Bios update as per the instructions and it flashed fine to the newest bios but it didnt matter cause my Q9550 still wouldnt post hell it wouldnt even boot. I managed to get an older Bios version that allowed for me to boot my Q9550 but that even took 3 hours to get that bios version to install since in order to do that you have to have a Level 2 tech support person walk you through a work around. After verifying my PSU and my Ram wasnt the culprit it was decided that an RMA was in order. I will be shipping this out tomarrow. EVGA did decide they will send me a 750iFTW model as a replacement
Other Thoughts: Cons continued... only 1 USB hub, I should have listened to friends that said to stay away from this board, as well as all the negative reviews. But my optimism told me no give it a chance. well optimism is overrated. hopefully the next model is better and will work the way its supposed to. 1egg off for being a 4 day ship fest when i paid for 3 day, 1egg off for such difficulty in flashing the bios with a bios that finally worked. 1 egg off for saying its Q9550 compatible when it doesnt come out of the box so. 1egg off for causeing me to have a headache. EVGA support is the only reason this review gets 1 egg since the Customer support was so easy to talk to. and really knew what they were talking about.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the feedback. I apologize for the issues you experienced with our motherboard. It is generally required to reinstall your operating system when changing motherboard chipsets due to major architecture and driver differences. This board is compatible with the Q9550 with the correct BIOS revision. I see that our customer service has been able to support you with an RMA. If you need any further assistance please feel free to email me at ksabine@evga.com Thank you, Kyle Sabine

Fair is fair
Pros: It could be a good board with different set up. Newegg's RMA process is great!
Cons: Board was either incompatible with my CPU(Q9400) or was DOA. I spoke with EVGA tech support and they confirmed that it would need to be returned. Postcodes were 02 and 03 for anyone's reference.
Other Thoughts: Bummed to have happen on a build but previous motherboard was a EVGA 680i and was rock solid, so guess it was just my turn.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, I apologize about the issues that you are having with our product. This motherboard is compatible with the Q9400 processor with the latest BIOS revision. We would be happy to replace the product for you with a board that has the most current BIOS to avoid any issues. EVGA is not what you think
Pros: I THOUGHT I could rely on EVGA
Cons: Extremely disapointed in EVGA. One year ago I bought this board and properly applied for my rebate. For saftey I scanned all of my materials before I mailed them. 10 months later I emailed EVGA on the status of my rebate and they informed me that the code on the UPC "doesn't match" though on my photo copy I can clearly see that the UPC code is identical to that of the rebate form. Upon emailing EVGA explaining and I even sent the photocopy of the UPC, they responded to inform me that they would not do anthing more because the offer has ended.
Other Thoughts: Each year I potentially buy $500-1000 of products from EVGA. Now I will buy from other companies such as Asus and warn all potential customers of EVGA about their poor service
Manufacturer Response:Hi, EVGA is committed to our products and customers, please send and email to rebates@evga.com so we can correct this. Thanks, Jacob

Not such a bad MoBo
Pros: Very fast board once configured properly. Running stable for a year now with no crashes. The board is abused to the max. Good for the money. 4 eggs for the initial headache.
Cons: 1. Bios could be better (basic) 2. (Warning) ONLY ONE USB HEADER 3. Picky with RAM (doesn't like my crucial) 4. Only four sata ports 5. Fan on north bridge is a bit loud 6. Only for me but the placement of sata ports made plugging the devices difficult (alienware case)
Other Thoughts: Could not download on torrents or surf internet fast at first. Online games were out of the question. Was about to refund/RMA the board. The RAM (crucial) would not work. Updated the Nvidia network manager and then plug in the MAC address into the advance section of the device that in turned enabled the ports to be opened and everything worked fine since. Had another rig that was toast so I took the water cooling equipment and installed to this motherboard and overclocked the silicon out of it. Tested friend's 780i with various software and could not notice a jump in performance.

Good Board
Pros: Works great. Nice net card, picked up a few ms on ping. I replaced a P5n32e-sli Asus with this board. It runs a lot better than the Asus board ever did.
Cons: No firewire. ehh
Other Thoughts: Must do a complete windows reinstall. Evga tech support is great. Buy it!

Great Board
Pros: Good board for a budget build. If your looking to spend more money on some duel sli cards it would do you some good to get this board. I went from a 680i chipset. Top of the line when i bought it a few years back. To be honest. I dont see much diffrence in the 2. Just the ability to use a better cpu.
Cons: Sata not really in the best place. Usb headers could use a relocation if using sli. Only 1 ps2 port. Might be a con for some
Other Thoughts: I updated the bios about 3 weeks into the board. Something i do on all my computers when i new one comes out. After the update. Computer started locking up at random. Finaly it just got to the point of not turning on at all. No post bios. Anyway. Could have been a bad floppy drive or disk i used to update. Then agin could have been the board. Only the mb fairy knows that. lol Just hope the new one was as good as the first.

review update
Pros: To the guy below me and the people reading his review. You commented on several people complaining about a instant FF code. You say it means fully functional. This is not what the INSTANT FF codes means. If you get a FF as soon as you start your computer this it not good. Know what you are talking about before you correct someones review. Again if you get FF instantly this is not good. FF is only good after boot up.
Cons: Well I have a couple issues that may or not be the board. I havnt yet traced the problem. I have random problems downloading from the internet. I mostly get a error stating "UNKOWN PUBLISHER" or something about files being corrupt. This only happens when I download from the internet. Anything downloaded from CD or DVD works perfectly. Also I know these programs are compatible because I have installed them on this board. This is a random issue that is getting less random"not in a good way" Also in game and only in game I get random crash's. I have random problems connecting to servers on COD4. I get random disconnects from server in game also. Again this is all related to the internet. Bad onboard LAN???IDK. Another problem that I know is the board. I have a E8600 running at 4GHz. It was very stable at first but now seems to need more volts as the board ages to mantain stability.
Other Thoughts: I am not sure if the board is responsable for the internet issues but I spent 2 days and 6 hours with microsoft tech with no issues resolved. Next I will contact EVGA.
Not really sure how to rate the board. Seems all the Nvidia chipset boards are twitchy. But if you want the best gaming board and want more than one card IMO you have to go with an Nvidia chipset. If your not gaming you have no reason to purchase an Nvidia chipset. Buy a intel chipset and save yourself the headache. But if your a serious gamer pick the Nvidia chipset of your choice and cross your fingers. I wont say anything bad about EVGA. I have this board paired with a EVGA GTX260 core 216 and when everything is working it cant be stopped. BTW the EVGA GTX 260 core 216 is pound for pound the best thing out there. I hope this review helped.

On Board Network card
Pros: I like this board, been great so far. Just one problem that seems to have popped up.
Specs: Vista Home Premium 64x Intel Core 2 Quad 2.33GHz 8 gig ram 2 EVGA 9800 GTX+ Superclocked Edition in SLI 250gig hard drive
If anyone needs any other system specs. or more specific information, let me know.
Cons: On board Network card not working correctly.
Other Thoughts: Ya, pretty much my problem is, I can connect to the internet, and I can halfway surf around. Sometimes pages to load up all of the way and if I'm playing an online game, I will get disconnected constantly. I can't watch videos, they just won't load all of the way. I know it's not the speed of my internet. There is a slight possibility that it could be the network I'm currently on, but I'm not completely sure, I'm pretty sure if the network didn't want me on, they would just boot me off. My cable is fine. I've tried drivers, I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing it. I've tried changing settings, no luck. I'm not sure what's going on here.
I have tried a connection speed test, it'll give me a load download speed but then the upload speed will be ridiculously high. So that's really the only reason I suspect the network.
If anyone is having this problem, let me know and if you can help out, that would be great!
See specs in pros section for hardware.

EVGA 750i
Pros: .
Cons: After updating the bios, the third ram slot stopped reading my mem sticks (4 x kingston ddr2 800 1G sticks were used). All ram was double checked in other systems and had no issues.
Other Thoughts: Seems like a really good board for the price. Its the cheap way to go to make a machine capable of playing games on the high end, sometimes you get what you pay for I guess.

Bad network card and drivers!!
Pros: Easy to install, nice lay out
Cons: The onboard network card on this thing sucks!!! Any time I tried to download a group of files from the network at a clients office, the network card would cause the computer to lock up. If I took a single file it would be fine. After spending several days trouble shooting the problem and bringing in there IT personal, we discovered that it was the net work card. During this process we also came across the problem of it corrupting certain types of files that it down loads, again it was typically larger files such as .zip and .exe's Added a new network card and all problems went away. The Chip Set Drivers that also came with the board also caused start up errors. When I Down Loaded a new set from Nvidia's web sight directly and installed that problem was fixed.
Other Thoughts: does anyone do quality control any more?
Manufacturer Response:Hi, Make sure you are installing the network drivers off the CD, also flash the latest BIOS found on our website. Thanks, Jacob

Worked right out of the box!
Pros: Works great on a Q8200 Quad Core, have had no problems yet with it
Cons: Dont kno if this is a con tho or a problem with the mobo at that but you get a resuming windows screen at the first start up then when it gets to the desktop ur keyboard and mouse are non responsive, my case has a reset button so i hit that for a soft reset, fixes the problem.
Other Thoughts: The other reviews im seeing people are QQing about the dreaded FF error, hell my mobo says that right now you kno what that means? i bet you dont. it means FULLY FUNCTIONAL!!!!!! your motherboard works your just doign somethign wrong to not make it work

great board
Pros: For the price you cannot beat this board. I have two of them now and both work really well. I run vista 64 on one system and xp/32 on the other.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for the latest and fastest board, this is not for you. However this board is really solid and extremely dependable.

MOBO PROBLEM!!
Pros: Easy Install, Had no major problems at first start up.
Cons: Where do i even begin? I am at my fourth RMA. This board refuses to work perfectly. First, it was corrupting all the downloads. Second was not booting up. third was working for 2 weeks, updated the bios because i wanted to get full compatibility with Sony's Blu Ray Drive. It resulted in another non bootup. Now waiting on my fourth board!
Other Thoughts: I should have went with a ASUS board because they are solid with standard usage with no OC.

Good board for a little work
Pros: -Power, reset and clear CMOS buttons on motherboard are nice.
-Good chipset cooling, north bridge fan noise wasn't as bad as some made it seem.
-Stable so far, only done very light OC on my E8400 but it's rock solid.
-Price
-SLI
Cons: -To install Windows Vista without Service Pack 1 you're limited to 2GB of RAM. Problem is resolved by updating Windows to SP1 and then installing the rest of your RAM.
-Consistent BSOD when using SATA DVD drives. Make sure to update drivers to 15.24 and clearing your CMOS to resolve the issue.
Other Thoughts: I haven't had the opportunity to really OC on this board yet, but so far it's everything I expected for the price.
It might be worth it to go with the 750i For The Win Edition or the proven budget champ EP45-UD3P and Xfire a couple 4890s.
Abbreviation for "For The Win" is considered inappropriate to Newegg?

Network Adapter
Pros: Very good mobo. Installs easy and nice easy to understand instructions.
Cons: If you are having issues connecting to the internet, get another network adapter. My mobo had a messed up network adapter. It was corrupting all the data that was coming and going. I didn't return it, I don't feel like waiting for another one. Took me almost a week to figure out the problem.

Solid Board
Pros: This board is simple to install and configure. A solid board at a good price.
Cons: The SATA ports could stand to be re-designed. No printed manual. Several errors exist in the PDF manual provided on the install CD. (one example: the motherboard layout falsely indicates that the IDE port is the floppy controller and vise-versa) Another problem I encountered was in installing the CPU heat-sink, if care is not taken the on-board heat-sink directly behind the LGA-775 socket can become detached due to its awkward proximity. While it is easily rectified a better design could be found.
Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this board to someone I know.

750i SLI board
Pros: easy to install, fits perfectly in my case
Cons: only came with 2 sata cables. so if you plan on running more than 2 devices make sure you have extra cables ready.
Other Thoughts: the easiest way to counteract the fact that the sata ports are side mounted is to plug the cables in FIRST then put the board in your case. that's what I did and it worked like a charm.

not sure what to say
Pros: it runs, had it for about 4-5 months and it still works (as in my computer turns on).
Cons: I can say for sure if this is a mobo problem or not but seems to be only on this computer with this mobo that im having this problem. Any internet browser i use will randomly crash, with out warning, i have found no patterns with this so i am still confused about it. Also, almost every game i install has issues that i never had before. I have used 2 different CPU's, 2 different graphics cards, 3 different types of ram and still have the same issues with crashing. Again i cant say for sure what is going on but i have 3 other computers and none of which have Any of the same problems.
Other Thoughts: For all i know, this is an isolated problem with just me. I was hoping for more from evga but clearly i thought wrong. Getting ready to try 1 last reformat and if the problem persists, im gonna junk it and try for something new.

Pros: Im not going to go into details, I SIMPLY LOVE THIS MOTHERBOARD. Get it, it runs cool, amazing, has everything you need + looks mad nice.
Cons: 1 thing I had trouble, the SATA/HDD plug is basically ALMOST touching the drive bays, so if anyone here expects to GET THOSE PLUGGED IN, plug the WIRES into the motherboard BEFORE you install it on the case OR get a woman with super small hands to do it.
Other Thoughts: I love EVGA.

Working great.
Pros: Unlike some of the other reviews, I didn't find the set-up of this board to be terribly frustrating or difficult. Everything is running perfectly with no problems and overall I am glad I went with it. I'm just itching to finally see what twin 9600GT's will do. (And I will very shortly).
Cons: Only thing is I would have preferred the IDE and SATA ports to be top-mounted and not side-mounted. Makes connecting the aforementioned cables more difficult than it probably should be. Other than that I am very happy.
Other Thoughts: Make sure that when you boot it up for the first time that you only have 1 stick of RAM installed in it, until you get the drivers installed. It will not boot up if you do not do so and will return a C1 or C3 error.

Great Board
Pros: Just what I needed a cheap s775 SLI board. No issues at all, came with flexible SLI bridge. Had no problems with USB header running 9600GSO SLI (single slot cards). Runs my e5200 at 3.5 (280x12.5), exactly what I hoped for!
Cons: Really can't think of any......
Other Thoughts: Thanks EVGA! New customer satisfied!

Pros: Easy assembly, nice board for the price. Would recommend....although (see cons). EVGA has great customer service with little hold time, luck of the draw?.. Solid board with no problems, yet (3 months).
Cons: The installation instructions that came with it were for a different board. No SLI bridge in box. EVGA was happy to provide with phone call. EVGA sent out rigid bridge for x1 slot, called again sent out another of the same. Finally sent the preferred flexible bridge (3 weeks total time). EVGA said it should've came with the flexible SLI bridge in the box.
Other Thoughts: Found proper installation instructions at EVGA website. Although not really needed. EVGA was very accomodating with SLI bridge faux pas.

SWEET
Pros: Lots of perks. Easy to set up, purs like a kitten, I put a GTX 260 on here and it is sweet!
Cons: For what I do which is just setting it up to play games and surf the net, I found no problems.

DOA
Pros: The documentations with clear setup instructions were better than any mobo I've ever had
Cons: Dreaded FF error right out of the box, it also had the red light next to the CPU. Tried different memory, PSU, CPU Nothing worked!
Manufacturer Response:Hi, Please contact us directly at 888-880-3842 so we can resolve this. Thanks, Jacob

Very good for the money
Pros: Has everything I needed for a budget computer. Comes with an SLI bridge and all the cables you need.
Cons: The 90 degree SATA ports might be a bother for those that get smaller sized cases. But had little trouble getting the cables to fit.
Other Thoughts: More of a stupid mistake by me, but just be sure that you are plugging in the correct wires from the case to the MOBO. I originally went with what I thought were color coded wires into the proper "color coded" slots on the mobo, but alas I was incorrect.
Be sure to read the instructions!

Nightmare
Pros: Fun to look at?
Cons: Installing with a Q9400 and you need to jump through a hundred hoops for it to recognize the quad cores in XP. Even after that, my system freezes every time I try to add new software or perform windows updates. Vista only sees one core... but updates without issue. Tried multiple install discs of both types and still nothing.
If you enable the ACPI setting XP and Vista both freeze during install. They only install if it is turned off, and XP only sees the quads if you do a repair with ACPI enabled. After resetting the CMOS manually a few times I got an error code of 27... or the BDA gone BAD.
Other Thoughts: Purchased this through TDirect, but they have discontinued its sale of this item... may be for a reason. Cannot return for refund because I did the rebate and it requires you to send in the box sticker.
Spoke with EVGA tech support, they had me perform a few tricks and I could not pass the 27 error code. Waiting RMA approval, but I am seriously contemplating just buying an Intel board to end this madness. My garbage can may gain a temp 130 dollar value. Trying to figure out when I should cut my losses. It is probably just a bad board, but I've wasted too much time on it.

Love Hate
Pros: The board works great for dual 8800gt in sli and for overclocking my core 2 duo 6420 to 3 ghz.
Cons: The placement of the USB header is horrible since you can not use it when you have SLI!!!! I am currently looking for an add in board so some of my 8 front usb ports will work on my computer. I have alot of external hard drives and it stinks that you have to keep reaching around the back to plug them in.

Good Mobo
Pros: Great motherboard I've had no problems, I'm a huge gamer and everything runs really smooth since I've hooked this one up.
Cons: The Sata ports are horizontal and it's a pain to plug the cable in, I busted my knuckles up a few times and it took almost 30 mins to get the cable plugged in, you really have to hook your HD up before you screw the mobo in.

Great Budget Board
Pros: Great board booted first try with E5200 Chip.
Cons: Hardley a con but the included IDE cable no long enough to reach both Hard drive and Optical drive.
Other Thoughts: 2nd MB i have purchansed from EVGA and newegg. I will never go back to any other manufacturer. This is in my g/f's computer, i was replacing an old 933 board that stoped reconizing keyboards. Pruchased this with the E5200 and 2 gigs of OCZ ram, everythign else was from the old board, i thought i would have some compatability issues, but there were none wihtt he excepttion of a short IDE cable.

Not bad
Pros: It's a good board for the price
Cons: Layout is kind of odd, the data ports or a real pain.
Other Thoughts: At first I thought it was DoA, but after a couple calls to evga(very helpful they were.) I was a noob and used my HD from my dell and didn't wipe it clean. So after clearing my HD and reinstalling xp this thing fired right up and is running great.

DOA =(
Pros: Well, it *looked* really pretty. ;)
Cons: Sadly, it gave me an FF error right off the bat, accompanied by a really pretty amber and blue light. I was crushed. It really seemed to WANT to bootup, only after about 2 seconds it gave up the ghost.
Other Thoughts: I was very stoked about finally replacing my entire dinosaured system. I'm not keen on being expected to foot the bill to return a board that did not work to begin with, so, I'm leaning toward keeping it as a reminder what NOT to buy and just buying an entirely different brand.

Great Value
Pros: Great Layout... although -- see cons Easy to configure Great overclocking options Stable
Cons: This is an outstanding board which is why I still give it 5 eggs but they put the USB header in the worst place possible. If you have a big card in the second slot your out of luck. Can't use it. Other then that it's an awesome deal. Get this board!

Died after 6 months
Pros: It worked fantastic... Till it went FF and never booted again.
Cons: I have both the 750I and the 780I BOTH of them died within a week of each other. It doesn't post and goes to FF. No boot log either. The 780i my sister took into a tech support at fri's and they said it died. I've been building comps for the last Nine years. It was not user error as most tech support people think. This is a WIDE KNOWN ISSUE with both boards. Going straight to FF (fully functional on the led setup) but not posting.

EVGA = TRASH
Pros: NOT MANY
Cons: TECH Support is a joke. They are no help @ all and if your planning on using all 4 ram slots then good luck because it most likely wont work! This is the second EVGA board i've worked with and there is always a problem with something and the tech support guys no help @ all. There answer is my RAM sticks are bas which is just wrong because they work fine in my other system. I even bought new ram and tried every possible bios config and still can't get all 4 DIMM slots working. All the slots work but it will only alow me to use 3 DIMM's max and not all 4 like it should. This board is junk!!!!
Other Thoughts: Waste of hard earned $$$

Pros: None yet the board is DOA.
Cons: I can't believe that both newegg and EVGA both expect the customer to pony up the return shipping for a DOA board.
Other Thoughts: I have used newegg to buy many EVGA and other products but if this is the support that customers are going to receive when they receive a DOA product this will be the last time I use Newegg and EVGA products. I might have thought twice about ordering over $2000 worth of merchandise if the return policy would have stated at your dime if you want a return.

Good MoBo
Pros: Looks cool, runs great. Good price.
Cons: Had a little trouble with installing the fan for my CPU but got it in just fine.
Other Thoughts: I had a problem getting files to download and I thought the port was bad on it, but it turns out that AVG was the culprit. Uninstalled AVG and now everything works great. Also, be wary if you're going to SLI, if you're cards are big space may get a little tight but you should be alright.

nice board and cheap.
Pros: great one touch cmos button. If for anything else best feature of this board.
Cons: Poor overclocker....bios is so-so. Easy to manipulate but still a pain. SLI is 16x shared. Use to full SLI 230 FPS with 9600 GSOs.

I've seen worse
Pros: Price, EVGA, solid all-purpose board
Cons: Terrible, terrible layout. No internal firewire. What's up with the LED pins?
Other Thoughts: I had a terrible time installing the junk Intel stock HSF on this board. I know they're always a pain, but I had even more trouble than usual on this mobo. Also, the 8-pin 12V is as far as it can possibly be from any bottom mounted PSU. The IDE and SATA adapters are mounted horizontally, which makes them a nightmare to connect in anything other than the largest cases.

Good MOBO
Pros: Excellent Motherboard for the price. Ive have it for about 1 month now. Outstanding Overclocking Features. Booted Right up, first try. ONLY 1 problem, see "CONS".
Cons: Only thing that i disliked. On the MOBO for the Power LED It ONLY has space for to slots. 1 negative and 1 positive. My case is set up different. 1 negative then a space then the positive. Minor Problem, i COULD chose to customize it, however it's only a light. of that i will take off an 1 Egg, but still not sure why EVGA changed it.
Other Thoughts: The north bridge can run a little warm. Just make sure your case has GOOD air flow.
Case: Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000SWA Silver Aluminum

Only 1 onboard USB header
Pros: Good stable motherboard. Good overclocking ability. Decent price.
Cons: Newegg has the onboard USB headers improperly labled. They say it has (4x usb), but in actuallity there is only 1 header for 2 ports.
Other Thoughts: If your case has 4 usb ports or if you have a need for 2 usb headers for case and something else like card reader, stay away from this board. It really shocks me that a company as big as Evga would forget to put more than just one stinking usb header.

Easier than expected
Pros: Surprisingly easy to set up, this was my first ever build on my own. I've only tinkered and replaced individual parts to a system, but putting together all parts of this and finding connections on the motherboard was very easy.
Cons: I had to run an update before the USB ports were all recognized. Truly bizarre, but it works fine now.
Only recognizes 3GB or the 4GB that are installed (2x2GB)
Other Thoughts: From the moment I pushed the power button it worked, very easy to set up.

Great Card- But has some quirks
Pros: The fan between the two PCI 16x slots is great! I have two 9600 GSOs and it keeps those babies cool through the most graphics maxed settings in Oblivion! Great speed on the motherboard itself when combined with a Core 2 Duo 2.5ghz Processor and a WD 300GB 7200 RPM hard drive. I LOVE my new computer :)
Cons: I had problems locating working drivers for the built in Lan chip. After several hours and a lot of swearing, I decided that bit of it was just DoA. Pages would only partially load (some of the page was legible text, but if you scrolled down farther it would just spit out html code) and it was impossible to play any online games, like WoW.
I ended up just buying a PCI network card for about $20 bucks (I didn't want to wait a week to go through the RMA process) and it worked great after that!
Other Thoughts: Other then having to buy a network card to solve the 'DOA Lan Chip' issue, this MB has been GREAT to me! I had tried to update the BIOS as well during my attempts to fix the Lan, but that didn't work. The BIOS didn't seem to want to recognize the device I had the update on (whether it was a CD .iso or on a floppy) it would just kind of hang there.
I suspect a BIOS update could have fixed the issue, but since I can't get it to work and trying to call tech support lead to 30 minutes of frustrating elevator music, I figured it would be a lot less stress to fork up the 20 bucks.

Pros: Good amount of USB ports. Good location of sata ports (in comparison to some other boards where it gets in the way of the vid cards...). Two PCI express x16 slots, beautiful. 4 DDR2 slots, handy for memory combo prices. Support for a good amount of processors. Easy overclock options, and runs fairly stable. It does come with the SLI bridge, not sure about the other comments, I was worried about it when purchasing but I'm happy now.
Cons: It is the best price-quality board out there right now if you are looking for an SLI board. It performs just as it should and I haven't had a problem with it yet that has been caused by the board (power outage caused vista drivers to half load which caused a few crashes before reloading haha). It could have standard faster memory, though it overclocks it fine. Like I said you get what you pay for. It isn't like you are buying a 790i board.
Other Thoughts: This is a quality board, just be careful with the right angle SATA ports. It comes with normal SATA wires so if you have a mid tower it can be an annoying experience trying to get them connected with the hard drive bay right in front of it.
Running it with a Q6600 2x2GSkill 667Mhz 8800GT XFX and Sound Blaster X-Fi. Got the Q6600 up to 3.0 stable at 58 C while the artic silver was still setting, so it should do just fine for gaming.

Not Bad
Pros: Bought to replace My Gigbyte Mobo which failed. Plugged her and it fired right up. Quick boot up and no errors. It did come with the SLI Bridge.
Cons: No internal firewire and one internal USB port keeps me from giving it 5 eggs.
Other Thoughts: I am running Q6600, 4 Gig of Gskill DDR2 PC6400 mem, Dual Nvidia 8600GTS Cards, Vista 32bit.

Question!
Pros: It seems like a very solid board.
Cons: I can't say from experience with it yet.
Other Thoughts: I'm looking into buying this board. i need to know if it comes with an SLi bridge. If so then ill redo my review after purchase. If not then i need to rethink my board choice. either way no bad review thus far = )

Pros: Well laid out and had no problems fitting oversize fan. Huge CPU support list.
Cons: No Firewire, only one internal USB so no hooking up internal card readers or media center interfaces.
Other Thoughts: Careful if you use this board with an ATI Video Card, If you install the Media drivers off the disk while using an ati card you will get a blue screen till you remove the driver.

Nice
Pros: Supports 45nm cpus (says so on the box) On-board power, reset, and clear cmos buttons. On-Board diagnostic read-out Nice solid design, no major issues. Adds two USB ports where the old mouse PS2 port was.
Cons: Can't really think of anything.
Other Thoughts: Would like to see solid state capacitors... but in all honesty i haven't had a blown capacitor in years. Also, another 3-pin fan connector would have been nice.
