Worst board ever
Pros: The feeling I got when I removed this board and installed an ASUS P6X58D board, what a great day.
Cons: I've had this board in my system for a long time and everything that could go wrong with it did. BSOD's, sata ports stopped working, bios would not post, etc . . . The biggest con is the support staff at EVGA that don't stand behind their product. I guess I understand, I wouldn't stand behind this product either. Overclocking ends at 3.9 on this board. Now matter how much juice I gave the CPU and other components, the computer would not post with anything over 186 bus. When I went to the ASUS P6X58D, I immediately was able to get 195. With some tweaking and patience, I am at 205. That nets me 4.3ghz with a 21 multiplier. I am a VERY experienced overclocker running a high end water cooling system. Trust me, this board is of extreme poor quality.
Other Thoughts: I started my computer builds with Gigabyte, then DFI, then EVGA (now Asus). My last 4 builds were with EVGA. Most have been fine since foxconn actually built those boards. This EVGA board is NOT the premium board they tell you. Do not listen to them or their "Manufacture response", their product is substandard and fail to meet the quality of other manufactures. I called EVGA to get help, but instead of standing behind their product they turned me away because my mobo, while brand new, was not purchased at an "authorized dealer" Even if you buy from their selection, they won't stand behind their product unless you register within 30 days. Else, you are out of luck. Way to stand behind your products EVGA. It is their loss. I was a dedicated EVGA customer, now I stick with ASUS. Do yourself a favor and get a real premium board, the ASUS P6X58D. Best board I ever owned. EVGA, you've lost a dedicated customer because of your poor customer service and poor quality built boards.

This Board Is Solid and Forgiving
Pros: This is my first X58 Build, and Although I made no significant errors, having used an EVGA Board for my personal Machine I felt very confident working with this product, it bounces back quickly if you happen to make a mistake. It is solid and sophisticated, boot first time every time, external CMOS reset, excellent idea, didnt use it yet, but it there.
Cons: None, Just wish the manual were more indepth, couldnt find the Raid Controller in bios in begining, and proper setting was not clear.
Other Thoughts: Using this in a Server Rig with Intel XEON 3550, it is awesome. 12 gigs G-Skill PC1066, 3 1 TB WD HD's in Raid 5, will add more later, Runs well, Runs strong. Good Set-Up. All From Newegg. Thanks Newegg.

Great Board So Far
Pros: Great mobo with lots of options. Easy to put together once you fo it out of the case. All pins are clearly labeled. Works Great!
Cons: Cramped space around cpu. You have to have the board out of the case to connect the power connector for the cpu and plug in the rest of the power connectors.
Other Thoughts: Great OCing mobo. Fair price. Just get it

Very nice!
Pros: I was very concerned after I bought this board due to a lot of negative reviews on here. People need to realize how UPS and other delivery companies throw all the boxes around and how that WILL break computer parts before submitting a negative review. Anyway The board doesnt take forever to post it seems very average if not faster than most boards I have used in other computers. Overclocking is amazing hit 3.8 on my Core i7 920 very easily. Havent gotten 4.0ghz stable just yet. This board is high quality and I would recommend it to EVERYONE buying for 1366!!
Cons: Absolutely nothing as of yet.
Other Thoughts: Very nice board with TONS of options.

Pros: Lots of SATA ports and tons of USB ports.
Posted on the first attempt and no problems thus far with the board.
On-board display came in extremely handy when my graphics card decided to die and it failed post check, within a few seconds I knew what was wrong.
Plenty of space for all those PCI expansion cards, graphics cards and other junk.
Cons: The position of the audio pins makes it near impossible to plug in my audio panel, for the pins are cramped between my graphics card on my wireless card.
Not really a con, since I haven't found a board with more on-board USB pins, but I would really like to have more than 4.
Other Thoughts: Great board so far.
EVGA customer service however, although highly acclaimed by what I have seen, was not very helpful when I called about asking about the dead graphics card and the post check. I am aware that it may not be their field of expertise in helping diagnose a system but they seemed unwilling to help. Maybe a more thorough explanation of the debug codes in their manual could prevent such issues or maybe a more courteous customer service department. In their defense, I only called once so maybe the guy was having a bad day or something.

Great Mobo
Pros: Great board has everything you need to get the most out of your system. Great bios with a ton of features for any overclocker novice or pro.
Cons: Post time is a little slower then i would like but for the performance im getting out of my I7 i can wait a few extra seconds.

nomnom?
Pros: Booted up first try - plenty of options in the bios to play around with, tons of sata connections, plenty of usb connections, all around good product.
Cons: Price? nah you get what you pay for. It didn't set my ram to its default frequency and timings. Manually put them in, the manual pretty much only mentions the three settings you need to match.
Other Thoughts: I'm glad i bought this thing...my win7 based system is smoking.

Disappointing board with bevy of issues
Pros: Supports Core i7 up to 24GB DDR3 RAM Tri-SLI Lots of SATA/USB Ports
Cons: Confusing BIOS options Flaky performance Constant lockups/blue screens/driver problems Disappearing hard and optical drives Failing SATA ports Noisy chipset fan Unhelpful support forums
Other Thoughts: I bought this board (not from newegg, but only because they were OOS when I "needed" it) for my new i7 build. At the time, it was one of the few i7 boards on the market. I don't really game on my PC anymore so I really didn't need Tri-SLI support, but I needed a bunch of SATA ports so I went with it. Big mistake. Out of the box I had nothing but problems. Running Vista (at the time) was all but impossible, so I switched to Win7 RC. Stable about 50% of the time on stock clock/voltage. Optical drives and hard drives randomly disappear requiring a reboot. ESATA port barely works at all. SATA port 0 died out of the blue. The chipset fan is insanely loud, making even the most silent of cases useless. Blue/Black screens in 7 constantly. Have had to rebuild half a dozen times after Windows corruption. Updated drivers from EVGA are no help, and their support forums just tell you that you're obviously a "noob". I guess I'm going to RMA it, but at this point I don't even want it anymore.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, If you are having issues with navigation of the bios or feel that you cannot find something please give us a call at (888) 880-3842 and we will be happy to help you. Thank you Shannon

Alsways Great Quality
Pros: Awesome motherboard, tri-SLI if you ever decide to run it, overclocks like a champ! Has the nice LED read out on the board for easy diagnostics along with the almost now standard on board Power and Reset switches. Six dimm slots which is great for those who want tripple channel memory all for an awesome price!
Cons: Heatsink on the voltage regulators in spring loaded or something so it wiggles around a bit if you touch it, not really a con, just be careful.

Great MoBo
Pros: - Great Motherboard. Has room for everything I need
- Overclocking is a breeze, it's very easy to configure anything you could want through the BIOS
- No significant complaints
Cons: - Heat syncs near the processor crowd it a bit. I wasn't able to get my processor's heat sync facing the best direction for my case because of this, but this might not be a problem if you keep the width of the heat sync in mind when choosing one
- It'd make things easier if there were another fan header somewhere around the back of the board, but I can understand why there isn't; it's pretty crowded back there already.

So far amazing performance
Pros: Performance is great- running triple channel OCZ ram and a core i7 and I have had no problems. When I built my PC it was very easy to put in my case.
Cons: Haven't run into anything yet. Board seemed a little flimsy out of the package.
Other Thoughts: One thing I wish it had was an LED RAM indicator- but thats just for show.

A great board by any measure
Pros: layout,no legacy connections,performance
Cons: no northbridge fan
Other Thoughts: Best board ive bought in quite a while..its a tank. quality components and nice features. For a single gpu solution this is one fine board.. booted up first try, tons of bios settings for o/clocking.. Priced affordable and usa tech support to boot. What more could any hard working red blooded american ask for?

Works great
Pros: easy install, great manual, color codes. The extra northbridge cooling and pci-e slots are excellent. Triple memory is great.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Free shipping on newegg makes it all the more worth it if you've decided on this board

Out of the box fail.
Pros: Offers a lot of overclocking options.
Cons: Out of the box, this motherboard did not work. The board would POST, but once I saved the BIOS settings it would not POST again. I could then clear the CMOS, reboot, and get back to the POST. The fix was to flash the latest BIOS - not something that I should have to do with a shiny new board.
Other Thoughts: I can't really see how you would be able to do 3 way SLI and still fit any PCI cards in this system - it's going to be a trade-off.

EVGA 3-Way SLi X58
Pros: Great product, although some sounds make me uncorfortable, everything else works fine.
Cons: The padding on the O/I or I/O, i always forget, messes up with screws, so if you can install, i would jus take it off.

i love newegg
Pros: Everything I order from Newegg has been awesome quality. I have been ordering my new gaming computer part by part over the last 2 months and every single part has been in perfect condition on arrival, including this motherboard. I will update my reviews once i build the pc but so far looking good THANK YOU NEWEGG!
Cons: Only comes with SLI bridge not any crossfire bridges... :(

Very nice, but.....
Pros: I have just gotten this motherboard. It has a lot of USB ports, and runs very nice.
Cons: I installed Win 7 32-Bit and all was well, then Installed 64-Bit and the network cards just stopped working. I reinstalled 32-Bit and they were still not working.

E758 is solid
Pros: Great Quality, booted up right away with vista 32bit and some corsair 1333 RAM. Great EVGA support. Great BIOS options -easy OC, and very stable. Power, reset, and clear CMOS buttons on board. Neat temp and error code display! 16x PCI-E2.0 bandwidth when using 2 cards in SLI. Lots of room for gfx upgrades (but not much else in your expansion slots!).
Cons: I may not actually ever use 3x SLI, maybe this board was too much for me... nah! I don't like the NBridge fan, it runs at high RPM and whines a tiny bit. With any dual slot gfx card you do block the only PCI-e expansion slot. The first 2 gfx cards will have about 3mm between them if using dual slot (like 2 gtx260s in SLI) so the top one is starved for air -gets HOT!
Other Thoughts: Using an i7 920 at 3.8GHz stock voltages, idle at 36-39C, up to 61C full load with a CNPS9900. I did have to sand the edge of the zalman HS to fit in this Mobo but it was simple to do. The warranty is the only difference between this and the other E758.

Pros: Excellent motherboard. I haven't had any problems with my i7 processor. Plenty of expansion slots. The cover for the ports on the back of the case comes with foam/rubber padding, which is a really nice touch. The LED display that shows error codes and the system temperature is really handy. The onboard buttons for power, reset, and CMOS reset can also come in handy. Tons of external ports, and support for even more via your case. Plenty of SATA ports too, there won't be any issues with adding more drives at a later date.
Cons: The heatsink just to the rear of the processor is a little tall. I had some problems fitting in a larger CPU heatsink/fan. I ended up having to take the fan off of the heatsink and move it up so that it's hanging off of the heatsink by about half of an inch. No big deal, but a little awkward.
Also, the CPU power supply port is behind that heatsink as well. Since that area is already crowded with two heatsinks and a fan, it was difficult to get the 8-pin CPU power connector back there. Might not be an issue if you have smaller hands.
Other Thoughts: Pricey, but it's definitely a great motherboard with a lot of nice features. I'd buy it again in an instant.

Decent Board, until you have to RMA
Pros: Core i7 support, plenty of room for expansion. Tech support was super-friendly - took literally 5 minutes or less to get my RMA going.
Cons: Had to RMA 6 months after original purchase date. The first (and most important) PCIe slot was defective - plugging in a single card into any other slot will allow you to view at best 640x480x4bit, no matter how good your graphics card is (I've got dual EVGA GeForce 9800 cards). Still waiting for the replacement to come in.
Other Thoughts: Super lame time for this board to break down - not sure if this is a problem seen by many, but it sure sucks when it happens to you when you're in grad school and homework is due the day after it breaks. I've never overclocked this board, so there's no reason that this board should have failed, other than it was a factory defect. Good thing I have several other computers to use...

Great board; CNPS9900LED does fit (barely)
Pros: Adjusting the OC is really easy either from the BIOS or from Windows with eVGA's provided tool. I've adjusted voltages, memory timing, QPI and PCI-E clock with no problems. Huge number of SATA ports and USB headers and ports. POST debug 7-segment LED display built-in, which is very helpful if your setup won't POST. After bootup, the 7-segment will show the CPU temperature: nice attention to detail! The mobo features (sound, USB, NICs, SATA, PATA, CPU throttling, ACPI) are compatible with Linux (I'm using Ubuntu Karmic 64-bit). If your overclock breaks, it'll automatically fall back to a previous known-good setup; if all else fails there's a "BIOS reset" button on the back panel.
Cons: Barely fit a Zalman CNPS9900LED (heatsink butts against some power circuitry), but it did fit. Looks like this is not the fault of the E758-TR since it appears to obey the i7 keepout zone; but check around if your huge heatsink will fit before you buy. Takes a long time (10s?) to POST; during most of this time the screen is completely blank or starting up the seemingly endless list of disk controllers. This is a minor annoyance, I'd still recommend the board. You can turn off unused disk controllers to speed this up a bit.
Other Thoughts: Overall an outstanding motherboard full of great features and tweakability. Not one feature that I'd want is lacking. I would love a Linux tool to adjust the overclock just like in Windows.

EVGA 3-Way SLI
Pros: 3-Way SLI (16x/16x/8x) 9 internal SATA ports (I'm planning on using all of them), 2 w/ RAID 1 or 0, 6 w/ RAID 0,1,5,01 Everything else listed in the specs.
Cons: I had bent cpu pins so I had to RMA (I did it through EVGA). They made me pay to ship it to them and to replace the cpu socket. ALWAYS go with the newegg RMA!!!!
Other Thoughts: Not running my RAM at it's specified speeds but this RAM (OCZ Obsidian) doesn't always work perfectly anyway. So I have better timings right now at 1333 mhz and it's stable.

Excellent, with some difficulty
Pros: Excellent specs - no problems with it at all
Cons: The 8 pin connector is a real bear to connect up with a giant heatsink in the way.
Other Thoughts: I have the Zalman 9900 and I had to sand off part of the bracket to get it to fit this motherboard. It hits one of the square pieces and is off by about 4 mm. Nothing a little sanding couldnt fix..but still

Oh yea
Pros: Nice layout, fits the biggest cpu heatsink i could find...but barely. Runs cool and it tells me via the onboard temp readout. Everything worked out of the box.
Cons: None really.
Other Thoughts: I'm clocking a 920 i7 and this board makes everything super easy.

AMAZING PERIOD!
Pros: Ok let me put it this way. I have been building computers for 8+ years several builds from asus gigabyte to dfi and abit. This board my friends has been the easiest to setup period. If setup right that is. For $200+ on a motherboard you get what you pay for but I would spend my money on this thats just me.
Cons: People complaing on here about good products when they have low knowledge on the product itself.
Other Thoughts: This board isnt for a first build even the bios is complicated. Id suggest a new builder to not buy this but to enthusiast go for it. BTW I got past 4ghz in an hour wow!

To easy
Pros: Worked great out of the box. To easy to access everything, great build. Stable overclocked i7 920 to 3.05 for about 3 months. 24 hours of prime 95 no issues. Best motherboard i have ever use hands down.
Cons: Booooo on the no lifetime warranty. I have 2 other evga products both registered with lifetime warranty and free games. Nothing with this.
Other Thoughts: My first evga build very successful. Recommend them to all.

+excellently made +good cooling = no lifetime warranty = only minus
Pros: boots windows 7 in under 1 minute.. was a bit difficult to get my zalman cnps 10x installed on it.. overclocked my 920 to 3.4ghz with minimal effort and is rock solid..
Cons: No Lifetime warranty.. should have for the money.. that costed you one egg EVGA.. i spend 260 on this and no lifetime warranty thats lame. I cant knock the product but I can knock the lack of lifetime warranty.. I bought a evga geforce 260 sc 216 to go with this and it has a lifetime warranty.. and was cheaper..
Other Thoughts: this thing is nice and very well made.. I would build with it again..

Pros: At first I was running windows vista ultimate x64, it crashed 10 times in two weeks. I will never install that OS again. Windows 7 RC runs awesome. It's only crashed once in 6 months and it was web browsing.
Cons: If you are thinking of getting vista DON'T!!!
Other Thoughts: System i7 3x2 GB DDR3 Velocirapter boot drive 2x 1 tb caviar black

Great Board
Pros: No problems running memory at 1600. No problems so far
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Paired this mobo with some OCZ Gold 6gb kit at 1600 with no problems. Installed Win 7 64bit with no issues.

Disapointed
Pros: It packs all the bells and whistles for an excellent product, more than the average user will need.
Cons: DOA
Other Thoughts: Bought it to take it abroad to have a gaming PC and was surprised when it did not work, spend many long distance minutes with evga customer service with no luck. I managed to send it back for replacement and hoping for the best, in the end this mobo ended up costing me close to 500 Dollars :(
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the review. I apologize about the issues you have experienced with your product. EVGA has a 24 hour toll free line available at 888.881.3842. Not happy
Pros: Though it looks good on paper i have had too many issues to say any pros at this moment.
Cons: I got the system and after several lock ups identified that the motherboard is bad. It has bad USB ports on the back side. If I use the Case front USB it works fine, just not the ones off the back of the motherboard. This system just locks up and hangs randomly. I tried to get with EVGA in reference to an RMA, I wanted to pay for a motherboard and then send them back this one so I had no down time. They only offer that service if you pay for it when you register it.
Other Thoughts: I will definately not be purchasing any more EVGA products as I feel that their customer service is lacking and that they are trying to make money off of a warranty issues. As it stands I will be down when I pull this motherboard out to send it back to have it repaired and get a replacement refurbished or repaired motherboard. I always feel like we are getting the short end of the stick when you buy something new and it doesnt work and they replace it with a refurbished component. With the issues I have had I wish I just would of bought a cheap I7 MB.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the review. I apologize about the issues you are having with your EVGA product. We stand behind our products and I would like to review your case to see how I can assist you in this matter. You can contact me by email at ksabine@evga.com. Thank you, Kyle Sabine

Amazing
Pros: Massive amount of USB ports (8 on the rear...), a TON of sata ports, very sleek looking, great heatsinks, cool running motherboard. The EVGA E-LEET Utility is VERY useful for testing initial stability, and overclocking memory/CPU. Instructions are fantastic, as well as the full list of code meanings for the Display built-in on the mobo is very useful.
Cons: Doesn't have a standard Floppy Interface connection - but really.... Who uses floppys?
Other Thoughts: If you're not using more than 2 graphics cards, and don't plan on it, you could easily purchase one of the less expensive EVGA boards and be just as happy. If you want the option of massive Graphic power, then this is a gem.

So far, Useless
Pros: I can't even highlight the pros because I have yet to get my i7 build to post.
Cons: Can't get it to post. The infamous error code 68. The system constantly tries to reboot. Tried single memory stick in every slot possible, working vid card, new PSU, and am in the process of RMA'ing my processor and my RAM to make sure that they are ok since I have no spare parts to test with. Mobo could be bad, AGAIN. I'm not sure. 68 is a memory related error and nothing I do will get the system to post. I'm thinking about RMA'ing the motherboard again simply to end the never ending cycle of bad or going bad parts.
Other Thoughts: Wish some of these people would pay for shipping for their bad and faulty parts. Comment back on this one EVGA. No post, no video, no signal on monitor, no nothing.

Great MB
Pros: Great board, overclocks well.
Cons: bad position for heatink on MB. can't install two fans on cpu because the fan hits the sink.
Other Thoughts: went with this over the classified version, saved about 150 bucks after rebate, put it towards some nice ram. great board overall.

Great Board
Pros: Great board, great overclocking. I have my i7-920 at 4.2GHz with very minimal effort.
Cons: - 2 dual-slot cards in SLI sit right against each other, definitely raises my temps... - ALL of the onboard USB headers are blocked by the second graphics card (at least for me, 9800GX2s are big squares though, so this may not happen to everyone)

One very good motherboard.
Pros: All the usb and sata ports you could want. Good raid 0 controller. clear cmos button on I/0 plate is a great feature. Overclocking is awesome. Got my 920 to 3.66ghz with easy with no voltage increases needed at all. Have a Radeon 5870 in right now. Will have to crossfire another in a year or so.
Cons: The heatsink next to the cpu gives a akward spot for the 8 pin plug and more so for the cpu fan but i guess once it is installed it doesnt matter.
Other Thoughts: Wouldn't start the first build so had to tear everything apart and start over again most likely my fault.

Great Board
Pros: Great MB worked perfect right out the box paried it up with a i7 950 with 6gigs of Corsair memory all in a Antec 900 two case and it booted right into the OS. I've been building for several years now and this was probably my easiest build.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This was my first build using a EVGA MB and I must say I was impressed with the quality and features, even though I've been using their video cards for years. Can't go wrong with this board.

finialy saw the light
Pros: This is a great mother board from a soild company, it over clocks and among enerything else it holds the proper memory timing.
Cons: a bit slow to start up.
Other Thoughts: It pays to go with a name brand over those who you think your getting a deal. It saves time and sweat in the long run.

i7 takes awhile to load
Pros: SLI slots are well placed on the motherboard. Runs cool with everything I have in it.
Cons: Heatsink gets in the way when installing the i7. But takes awhile for the i7 to load up. About a 7 second start up.
Other Thoughts: Hasn't let me down yet.

Burned up after 2 months
Pros: None
Cons: Customer service RMA support is poor. Evga Makes YOU pay to ship their defective product back to them. Only had board 2 months and computer shutdown and northbridge caught on fire.
Other Thoughts: Also had 2 gtx 280's made by them and are in the process of rma

Solid
Pros: Has the latest hook-ups, plenty of SATA ports, triple channel DDR3 RAM support, HDMI audio support.
Also, it worked upon arrival. Seems the DOA rate is high on motherboards, but this one came in working order.
Cons: SATA ports are sideways. Makes it difficult for my case.
Other Thoughts: Note that it doesn't have on board graphics, so you need a graphics card. This allows other things to be put on board instead and lowers cost.

Successful 1st Build
Pros: This was my first ground-up system build. I pretty nervous about flipping the power switch the first time - but, the board booted right up. Recognized my 6gb of memory and hard drive just fine. Installed Vista 64 bit w/o a hitch in just a few minutes. Up and playing games almost immediately. Couldn't have been happier.
Cons: The padded I/O panel is nice, but I really had to push the mobo into it to align the screw holes with the standoffs in the case. Also had to reallllly push hard to get my Crucial ram sticks seated in their slots. Finally, for heavens sakes, why do they put connectors on an SLI motherboard in locations that are blocked by double-sized video cards??!! The USB headers get blocked if you use PCI-E slot 2 - so I moved my second card down to slot 3 (I know, that's only an 8x slot) and in that position it doesn't interfere with the connectors at the bottom edge, but blocks the on board power & reset buttons and temp/error code display from view. Seems like this could have been thought out a little better. Still love the board though.
Other Thoughts: I was really nervous about installing the CPU as I'd read a lot about people ending up with bent pins. It was a lot easier than I expected and I didn't have any problems. I had been slowly buying all the components over the last couple months as I found sales - have been stressing over that first power on, but all was good!

Odd sticker placement
Pros: Works fine at 175 back clock with retail cooler.
Cons: It had a sticker covering one of the cpu mounting holes, it said the warranty void if removed. I have no clue what that was about.

Worth the money paid
Pros: Great board! The BIOS options for this thing are just incredible. Although unnecessary after several, several builds, the instructions are quite clear. The board came with more than enough cables for a brand new build. On board POST code/CPU temp. This board is great innovation!
Cons: Truth be told, the POST is kind of slow. But, that is to be expected when one considers all of the features built in that are to be accounted for.
Other Thoughts: For any of you worrying about the slow POST, chill. It's not that slow, were talking a couple seconds more than usual.

Incredible
Pros: By far the cleanest build I have made to date. I can so almost no bad about this motherboard.
The onboard LED is so nifty it should be illegal. I currently am using the Dummy OC feature and have a 3.3Ghz clock, which is perfect for my needs.
Cons: Takes a bit longer then my old 680i to post, maybe its just a core i7 thing. It 'does' post.
Onboard Jmicron controller is cumbersum when not using it.
Neither of these points are real cons. Just sometime to keep in mind.
Other Thoughts: This 30 dollar cheaper model that comes with a 2 year warranty. The other model has a lifetime warranty.
The next step up would be the Classified. If you just want a standard gaming rig this board is almost perfect.

AWESOME BOARD
Pros: Good overall layout, Onboard power, reset and CMOS clear buttons very helpful. Ample connectors, and one of the best accessory packs I have gotten in a while.
Cons: Northbridge runs a bit warmer then I want, this will ultimately limit my max overclock. CPU fan and CPU power connections are very tight between the case and the heatpipe, was worried that I would bend or break the heatpipe inserting the 8 pin connector from my thermaltake toughpower 750. Also a very annoying thing is that the board takes a very long time to POST. A bios update did help quite a bit, however it is now the slowest posting board in my house.
Other Thoughts: This is my first eVGA board and I will definitely be back for more after this experience. Overall this board was above and beyond what I expected and has provided exactly the alternative I wanted to the 790i (had way too many problems with that chipset).

Pros: Booted right up. Read 6gb ram. Had to manually set the ram timings in bios though to get it to run stable. I love the reset CMOS function in the back, haven't had to use it, but it's good to know I wont have to open my case to reset CMOS. Also love the temp reading on the thermal display.
Cons: Booting is a little slow, will a BIOS update correct this?
Other Thoughts: Onboard LAN is not working. Works if i push ethernet cable all the way back but it wont seat itself all the way back. Does this on both ports. Was I supposed to remove the padding on the I/O shield? Just threw in a cheap 10$ LAN card and i have interwebs :P

so far so good
Pros: Good buy. Good capability.
Cons: That heat pipe apparatus near the CPU interfered with the 8-pin power connector from my Corsair 1000W modular PSU. It could very well be a problem with the extra dingus on the Corsair 8-pin plug, but either way, had I broken the heat pipes it would have been a mobo RMA.
The manual sucks hard core regarding any RAID setup or memory settings. At least the Asians at Gigabyte and ASUS include a chapter on these topics (in very bad English nonetheless). You're on your own on advanced topics with this board, or at least you have the internet. Keep a second computer handy to get online during setup unless you've been through this stuff once before.
Other Thoughts: Nothing is broken, everything POSTed on the first try, and my i7 system is rockin'. I have no regrets.

Superb
Pros: I really like this board. Everything is nicely placed. I have a few beefs (see below) but everything worked out nicely. The BIOS is really nice. I had to flash it with an update for the SLI and it was great. I love the power switch on the MB. What a convenience. Also they have the best assembly instructions with the most awesome chart size diagram I've ever seen. I will stick to EVGA MBs for a while. Gigabyte is pretty good but now I like EVGA.
Cons: I bought a sd card reader but after hooking up all the front panel USBs (the are 4 of them on this case) there were no more USB headers left to plug in the card reader. So it would be nice to have a couple more internal USB sockets on the mother board.
Other Thoughts: I was installing a large zalman cooler onto the core i7 processor and there was just barely enough room to fit it. It's very tight around the cpu socket what with all the capacitors and memory banks. Also the zalman mounting bracket was very slightly bent, so when i first mounted the cooler it looked like the holes in the MB were off a little. But it wasn't the MB, so just keep that in mind. Once I straightened out the zalman bracket everything matched up to the holes. Also, I put in 2 video cards SLI and they were so close that the fan on one of them was rubbing against the back of the other card. So what I did was took one of those great newegg styrofoam peanuts they pack stuff in and wedged a piece between the 2 video cards to keep them apart a little.

useless
Pros: none,since it never posted
Cons: the motherboard never posted,it had the famous "FF" code like hundreds of evga mobos,i called and sent emails to the evga support team,is like they dont want to accept that this product is a piece of junk, they know about the problem but they try to gain time idk why, they tell do this,do that when they know that will not fiz the problem it took them 2 days to answer my message, and i was going back and forth and got nowhere,i just rma it back to newegg wich is just "wonderfull" with their services ,never gave me a hard time like evga, evga just lost a costumer here, asus for life!!
Other Thoughts: do yourself a favor and avoid this junk!
Manufacturer Response:Hi, We apologize for this experience, please understand the "FF" error can be caused by many items, for example: * Bent CPU Pin * 8 pin connector not installed * Grounding * Memory not installed, or not in appropriate slot The EVGA X58 boards are premium products, and we stand behind them. Thanks, Jacob

Good board, but could have been better
Pros: This board is made for the enthusiast OC'er. Has tons of features, even an old skool serial port header. Supports Tri-SLI for those of you with a 1500W power supply and three brick sized video cards. Also has plenty of room around the CPU for any huge oversized coolers.
Cons: VERY SLOOOOOWWW to post, like 5-10 seconds slow. The one and only PCI 1x slot is right below the first x16 slot, which will be blocked with any double wide video card. And seriously? no floppy drive port? I'd rather have a floppy drive header than the PATA port that seems to scar most new boards that come out. The USB headers are located between the 2nd and 3rd x16 slots, which causes a double wide video card to press against the cables. Vregs run really hot a the attached heatsink doesn't seem to help much to cool them. Would have been better if they made an all in one heatpipe much like ASUS does that connects the vregs, northbridge, and southbridge together. Bios was slightly under-developed at first, but is getting better with each release. DO NOT get suckered into using the award bios flasher included on the driver disk (see other thoughts). Finally, why two different versions with different warranties...that's just weird in my opinion.
Other Thoughts: At first, I was a little disappointed in this board. It's my first EVGA after 13 years with ABIT (RIP) and ASUS and it didn't quite feel as refined as those brands. But after tinkering around with it for a couple months, I'm pretty happy with it. I did get suckered into using the Award BIOS flasher program that is on the driver disk. Total NOOB move on my part since it's basically destined to cause a failed BIOS flash. The software that came with my ASUS P5E worked fine for flashing in windows, so I ddin't think it would be a problem. Called tech support and they said we can mail you a new chip out ASAP, just register online and then submit a support ticket. Easy, right?....wrong! I did what the rep asked and then was told that I'd have to RMA the whole board, all for a tiny ROM chip that can easily be swapped out. So, I just bought a new chip from and online auction and was up and running again in a couple days. So in my book, that's strike one against EVGA tech support.

Worked
Pros: Worked great out of the box. Has tons of features. Easy overclocking. SLI works great. Did not need to update bios to see my 920. I have had no problems out of the board since install. Does what i need it to.
Cons: Full Finger print in the coating on the back of the board. Looks like someone sanded the corner and applied the coating on the board.
Other Thoughts: picked this board b/c it seemed like it had less DOA's.

Great mb
Pros: This mb is 2nd to none. I've used it for about 2 months now and the options are outstanding compared to Asus or MSI. In addition, the forums at EVGA.COM are full of very experienced users that are more than willing to help all from the complete newbie to the very advanced enthusiast. EVGA tech support has long been known as the best in the industry with their 24/7 phone support.
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: I've had some direct experience with EVGA's tech phone support and it IS the BEST in the industry. They are courteous and will take as long as you need to solve your issues. I've been around computers for over 30 yrs. and have only very good things to say about EVGA products and their tech support. For newbies, I'd strongly recommend EVGA products solely due to the GREAT tech support (best in the business).

Great Board
Pros: Easy, flawless installation on Windows 7 x64 RTM. The only drivers I had to install were one SATA controller and the JMicron RAID controllers; everything else was detected and installed by Windows Update. No problems with RAM detection, processor installation, or anything else. This board has done all I've asked it to, was fairly priced, and comes from a quality company.
Cons: Not even worth complaining about since my case has no window, but the motherboards that are a step or two down have cooler color schemes and heatsinks. ;)
Other Thoughts: I haven't tried to overclock anything yet, but that's just because I haven't needed to. My RAM was initially underclocked at 1300, but once I set it to the correct 1600 mHz it's stayed put and run great. Windows rates my processor and RAM 7.4 and 7.8 respectively out of 7.9, stock clocked. Who needs to overclock that? Also, be careful with SATA settings for controllers that host optical drives; not all support AHCI mode. I though my LG burner was working great until I tried to burn something and it failed every time. Changed controller to IDE mode and it's been great ever since. Not a problem, since the board offers three different SATA controllers.

Another success
Pros: The motherboard has worked flawlessly since I got it. Everything was recognized and my install went smootly. Love the overclockability of the bios and the e-leet utility is kind of nice (the bios has more settings to adjust before attempting and you can save multiple configurations.
Cons: Have to boot DOS to flash the bios, would appreciate a windows compatible flash utility.

my 3rd one so yeah I like it
Pros: A repeat customer is an endorsement of EVGA and this nifty board with a very detailed BIOS. As another reviewer said, the only difference between this and the EVGA A1 model is that one has a lifetime warranty. So for those who don't like to pay another 20% for an extended warranty, you don't have to. Get this model instead. It makes overclocking as easy as it can get.
Cons: Not much to add to other reviewers but make sure the DIMM slots work by reading the BIOS setting and not what Windows or desktop software says. If BIOS or memtest can't read all your memory, you will need to call EVGA. And the Vreg heatsink gets in the way of some coolers (not the V8 cooler - it fits fine). But with modern mobos being so complex, one is going to get a lemon now and then. In that case EVGA has good support and Newegg does a faster RMA than most. Unfortunately, I know that from experience.
Other Thoughts: If you want to OC an Intel i7 and enjoy having a BIOS that provides a great deal of control then you will enjoy this board. Otherwise lower profile memory is nice so the big heatsinks on the RAM don't bump the CPU cooler you will need for your hot chip.
Build #1 with this mobo: HAF 32 case, i7 920 OC to 3.8 on air, V8, GSkill 6g, gtx280, Corsair 850tx, etc. Build #2 with this mobo, Antec P183 case, i7 920 OC to 3.8 on air (but runs 5 to 8 C hotter than HAF), Antec CP-850 PSU, V8 (barely fit), GSkill 6g, gtx 275, etc.
Hope you enjoy the mobo as much as I do.

WOW!
Pros: Very nice mobo! Lots of connection options!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: if you use a single two slot card, the old pci-e 1.0 will be covered up. Couldnt move my capture card over. two slot pci-e 2 card must be in the primary slot.

Recieved a used item?
Pros: worked on first boot, no issues at all,
Cons: i was hoping nvidia would release an i7 board, since i have stuck with them for so many different boards/builds now
Other Thoughts: I purchased my new setup from newegg, and like always, got everything in quick and easy...BUT, i have some worries, my evga x58 E758 that i recieved looked like it was previously opened/used or returned, the shrink wrap was shreded all over the place and one of the seals/stickers to the box was completely cut. I purchased everything new, but was i sold a used or refurbished item...anyone else have that issue?
other than that though, ive had 3 days of no issues and everything is running nice and cool, all at default settings

Great Board
Pros: Spectacular board! Mine posted without issue. The actively-cooled northbridge is a definite-and unique-plus. After coming from an MSI-flavored X58 board, a northbridge that's barely warm to the touch is a great surprise! The board can definitely overclock like a champ, just like you'd imagine.
Cons: The oversized VRM heatsink obstructs a chassis-mounted radiator, even in a full ATX case.
Other Thoughts: I haven't seen any reliability issues with any of EVGA's boards. I've worked with all the high end X58 boards for various customers, and I'd pick this one for a personal build every time.

DOA
Pros: It looks nice, I guess. Customer service was decent, it did take a few calls and a little phone tree hijinx to get a live human, but nothing byzantine or horrific. I waited roughly 20 minutes each time. Lots of cables come with it, which is nice.
Cons: First and foremost, it arrived DOA, error code FF. I was super psyched to put together a shiny new toy and after two days of screwing and unscrewing things until my fingers bled, I am super bummed that I got a dud. Besides that, the CPU fan and the 8pin power cables were particularly difficult to plug in if you've already "affixed via screws" (lol at profanity filter) down the mobo (unless you have very small hands). Also, it doesn't seem like it came with any screws? I got a baggie of screws in a box inside the power supply box, and I used some of those, but the mobo didn't seem to come with any. Weird.
Other Thoughts: I was a little worried by all the reviews of people who RMA'd/got DOA boards when I placed the order, but I figured it wouldn't happen to me. Not my lucky day, I guess. I'm not taking another chance, returning it for a refund and buying an ASUS instead.
Manufacturer Response:Hi, Mounting screws come with the PC chassis', the reason for this is there are different threading types that may be unique to specific chassis'. Thanks, Jacob

Don't trust the company
Pros: .
Cons: This board was very problematic from the start, and when I sent it back to the company(with RMA), they emailed me that a few of the CPU contact points on the CPU socket were bent and the socket need to be replace. They put a $65 repair tag on it, even though it was within the warranty and I did not damage it. I put all systems together and through the years I must have worked on over 100 systems and I never damaged a single computer components. It stinks that a company does not stand behind its warranty and tries to weasel out of it. I will go back to Intel, had problems with their boards just like mother boards from every other company, but never had problem with their warranties.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy EVGA products
Manufacturer Response:Hi, EVGA does in fact stand 100% behind the warranty, and the warranty states that parts and labor are covered, outside of physical damage. Bent pins (to the unfixable degree) are considered physical damage. LGA pins are extremely fragile, and can be bent very easily, please remember when handling the socket be extremely careful, and always use the socket protector when shipping. Thanks, Jacob

Great Board
Pros: 3X SLI, Overclocking ease, solid construction, quality
Cons: None for the board really.
However, when it comes to power supplies, ENERMAX USERS NOTE THIS: There is a documented problem with this Mobo and older Enermax Revolution 1050 PSU's. Some compatibility issue, and mine would not power up. I bought the Corsair 850 PSU at a retai store, and it fired right up. ENERMAX is RMA'ing the PSU with a newer model, but obbviously this issue cost me $160 and one sleepless night, until I read about it on the boards. So be warned.
Other Thoughts: Some of the things that some complain about are real nit-pcky stuff. The bent pins thing I would think is simply noobs not being careful. I can't speak to RAID issues because I haven't used it. I do like the way the SATA connectors are oriented because they stay out of the way of the huge video cards in use today, which is more than slighly important. And it gives a cleaner look to the case layout which is visible in my Thermaltake Xaser. (Had to remove Xaser side fans to accomodate Dark Knight, but it was worth it. Did I tell you that heat sink is HUGE?)
The BIOS issue referred to by some involves coming out of the S3 power save state at overclocks HIGHER than 3.6 or 3.8Mhz I think. I actually value saving 230 watts via S3 over the lost Mhz, so I have my overclock set at 3.4Mhz, runs great, using a Dark Knigt heat sink with no problem, but while that sucker is HUGE, is fits OK. I am running 5 hard drives and one EVGA GX260 vid card on a Cosair 850 power supply.

Pros: Very well made board. EVGA web site is layed out well and updates are a breeze. Forum is stocked with very helpful people. Most items on the board are in good positions for installation. This was installed into a Thermotake Armor Plus case and it was a extremely clean easy install. Voltages on the board are well within specs and I had no problems with pins on Memory as I read a few others say. Nice color sceme as well. Over clocking is pretty easy and the board offers good airflow.
Cons: PCI-E and PCI-E x16 card slots to close together. Had to use the Middle one because I was putting in a PCI-E Sound Blaster Titanium board and the is not enough room. If I were to use the Crossfire with multiple cards this could not happen with this sound card in. The PCI-E x1 slot should be at the bottom of the board. The ICH10R Chipset runs extremely warm I felt although it was a nice shiny cute "E" for the company on it. A fan and a heavier heatsink would have done a much better job. I'm lucky this spot sits right under my side fan of my Armor Plus case.
Other Thoughts: For the money this is a nice board. It is nice looking and although I felt a few things could have been better. All in all it works will and looks good. This was my first EVGA board I ever got and so far it is worthy of a repeat buy from them in the future.

Solid board
Pros: Great board - easiest build to date, booted on first go, fast post (unsure of some reviewers complaining of a slow post). Good suite of utilities and features, looking forward to overclocking the i7-920.
I have build several systems with boards from other manufacturers - this is my 3rd EVGA build, and they are the most reliable. EVGA rocks & Newegg delivers.
Cons: Installed the board in a Silverstone Fortress case - very little room between the rear facing SATA ports and the case. I could still work the cable in - it just took some work.
The SATA ports are obviously rear facing to make room for the up to 3x video cards you can install on this Mobo.
Other Thoughts: Follow the instructions on the quick start guide, especially on first boot when they tell you to clear the CMOS after turning on the power supply, but before powering the system on.
Components: Intel i7-920 EVGA GTX 275 videocard Crucial Ballistix 6GB, BL3KIT25664TN1608 Corsair 750W Powersupply Coolermaster V8 CPU cooler Silverstone Fortress case

Bent Pins FF Error
Pros: Everything looks good at first and can mostly get everything hooked up fine. Nice BIOS features and upgrades.
Cons: Worked okay for a few weeks then got random crash and FF no post error. Newegg RMA said it was my fault and that socket pins were bent, but obviously I disagree that I did such a thing given my previous experience. Apparently I am not the only one who got a board with "bent pins" and was blamed for them. After a long talk I got newegg to send a replacement and I am hoping this one will work longer than 3 weeks, hopefully by a few years. I've been out of a good computer for 3 weeks now and I am not a happy camper. EVGA was supposed to be quality but I am having second thoughts about having purchased this board. I will give the replacement one more chance before never buying from them again.
Other Thoughts: Something is seriously wrong if they are sending motherboards with bent pins.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the feedback. I apologize about the issues you are experiencing with your product. Please email me the serial number of the product you are having issues with so that I can review and assist. My email address is ksabine@evga.com. Thank you, Kyle Sabine

NO Audio Output device found
Pros: Good layout for 1 huge graphic card looks cool
Cons: keep getting the NO Audio Output device found message on vista 64 and windows 7 took to a tech after i tired everthing he call evga and they said its a vista problem and microsoft said its the MB sometimes i get audio sometime i dont really sucks.
Other Thoughts: I gave up and bought a sound card for 14.99 that works with Vista 64 works great now im running windows 7 now because i did several installs but everything else works guess i will only be using 1 Gtx 275 card now i was going to buy another but wont have enough room because of sound card and i dont want to send MB back and have to wait for one plus pay shipping

Not so great
Pros: Lots of features for the money. EVGA seems to be one of the best at keeping BIOS and Drivers updated, and improved.
Cons: Not a strong over clocker, burned out the second PCIx16 slot on 2 different boards. for some reason both boards took a really long time to boot, as noted by other posters 7 seconds or more before it would even post.
Other Thoughts: I couldn't get it to overclock my i7 920 past 3.4Ghz no matter what I did. When I did try anything over that it had lots of rebooting issues. Using the E-Leet overclocking utility and just putting the PCI slot up to where it should be at 100Mhz caused the slot to fail and the board to no longer boot with an 7F error code. When it did boot it seemed best to disable the jmicron controllers on the board to help speed the process along.
Manufacturer Response:Hi, Please take a look at the EVGA forums, we have some guides to get you up to 4GHz... any beyond :) -Jacob

Pros: Very Stable with XMP settings with my OCZ ram. Very easy to install.
Cons: Not sure if it is the mobo or the i7 stock fan but I had trouble remove the fan because one of the feet would get stuck in the hole and would not release easily. Word of advice is to just take a breath and try again.

Important
Pros: I admit that the board itself is a BA. Where else are you gonna find a board that has EVERYTHING.
Cons: WARNING!!!! if you get this board and you install everything and for some reason one of the DIMM's is not working look on the CPU socket of the motherboard, (LOOK REALLY CLOSE) what your looking for is a bent pin on the socket of the motherboard. If you notice they are really small and hard to see, i had to get out a flash light to that one of the pins was bent. This causes a bad connection between the motherboard and the processor which gave me false readings on my BIOS.
Other Thoughts: FML... my poor newly bought computer parts are laying all over my desk waiting on their new mother (mobo) to come home... :( ALL BECAUSE OF 1/100TH OF A GRAM OF METAL BENT.... :( LAME...

EVGA X58 SLI motherboard
Pros: Excellent overclocking abilities, large selection of BIOS options. Reset and startup buttons are illuminated and mounted on the Motherboard for testing. Price is much lower then the Unclassified. Handles both SLI and Crossfire. Plenty of room for a large CPU cooler such as a Zalman 9900. Only needs one 8 pin connector allowing more power supply options. 8 USB with plugins for 4 more.
Cons: As usual for EVGA, SATA and other sockets are in bad locations requiring removal of larger GPUs to access. Unlike the older 680s you must use PCI Ex 1 and 2 for 2 cards to get 2x16 lane channels. This forces the GPUs to be right on top of each other and a side mounted case fan is recommended. Sata ports 1-4 are on one chipset and the other 3 and esata port on another.
Other Thoughts: Great value but not a novice board. Standoffs need to be old style about 1/16th longer or the i/o plate won't line up. A great way to deal with this, is to get some small thin washers at the hardware store to put under regular brass standoffs. EVGA denies this but believe me, as I've installed dozens.

Good Board
Pros: Plenty of aux fan ports, good audio, it's black, CPU temp & error code LCD onboard, good software, lots of usb and sata (inside and out). Me Gusta.
Cons: Northbridge fan is made of cheap plastic and rattles very loudly. I'll probably have to shove something in there to make it stop...
Other Thoughts: Fits Cooler Master V8 very nicely in Cooler Master HAF 942 case.

EVGA E758
Pros: This Mobo has made my first build most enjoyable. Not one problem with it.
Cons: Not a one.
Other Thoughts: I have to say I am a EVGA fan boy. There Mobo's and video cards are just full of win. Got 2 of there GTX 260's in sli and I could not be happier. This company has one great business model were customer satisfaction if foremost and quality products are the rule not the exception. Also the EVGA forums have such a wealth of information and the community will go out of there way to help. AAAAAAA++++++ to EVGA!!! Keep it up!!

Pros: 3-way SLI, DDR3, spacious, great price... with many options and perks; E- LEET. The classified version of this board would have been preferred; but yeah.
Cons: Could have used more USB internal connections and 3/4 pin fan connections... and better placed 1934a pin set; there is some interference with the cable and one of my GTX 285s... just being nit-picky tho.
Other Thoughts: I did have to do an RMA on this board... I was rather let down by Newegg's turn around rate in their RMA department. I purchased all the components for a new rig and had a faulty power supply (corsair 1000w) and MB. It took 4 weeks to get a replacement for this product and two and a half weeks for a new PS; thus the four eggs... 5 egg product, 3 egg service... mean of 4. It was rather depressing to have this beast for a week and have to disassemble and send it back; then return to the old 99' Dell 4300... as a draftsmen and aspiring Architect, I took a vacation :)

-Nice packaging
-Comes with TONS of SATA cables, extra USB & firewire ports for the back of yoru computer.
-Tons of USB ports on board the mobo
-Optical & SPDIF audio / eSata on board the back of mobo
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Take the bad reviews here with a grain of salt. YOU HEAR MORE BAD THAN YOU DO GOOD ON THE INTERNET.
Also if you handle the board rough when installing expect to run into problems, don't blame it on the mobo. They are delicate. This is probably where 80% of the problems come from when reading mobo reviews.

Great but far from perfect (casual user)
Pros: I'm a power user and my computing needs revolve around graphic design/photography/video editing. I did grab a good gaming card for the occasional break but I did not build my system with SLI gaming in mind. (I purchased a single ATI card). I only bought this board because of its greater number of success stories compared to the competition. I will likely not overclock as my software is running very fast at stock settings.
Nice package design. Attractive board and nice use of logos. Problem-free layout. Has a sexy tech look. Great BIOS. Easy to flash/update. Detects all external drives. Plenty of boot options. Loaded XMP profile and got my RAM up to 1867mgz stable without a problem. :P
Came with SATA cables, sli bridges, great instructions, good manual, nice rear panel with lots of inputs. (2x eSata and 1x firewire) Two LANs may be handy one day. 1st time without need for floppy :)
Everything runs cool all the time (28 to 38 celcius on cpu). Fit my big zaleman cooler just fi
Cons: 1st board was a lemon. It ran for a while then randomly decided not to boot the 2nd day I had it. Searching EVGA forums reveals my case was FAR from uncommon. I chose this board for ONE REASON - it had the smallest % of defective boards looking at all the feedbacks. The big picture seems to show that all options are equal gambles.
This, my second board came with a bent pin. I became aware of the pin after I found my board would not boot AGAIN!! Fed up, I took it upon myself to bypass the RMA option and fix myself. Used tweezers and carefully moved the pin into place. I succeeded and my system has been functional/stable ever since. To this day I feel nervous every morning I boot my computer up never sure what to expect :/
When plugged, external HD-audio slot BLOCKS a PCI slot/card from being used.
x64 jmicr drivers did not work with windows 7 x64 RC
VERY challenging access to CPU-fan connector
Also, both boards did not detect my new IDE LG DVD-RW, another gigabyte
Other Thoughts: This was my first computer upgrade in 6 years. I was looking forward to a fun build experience and of course the benefits of moving from a pentium 4/XP system to windows 7 64-bit. From the time I received my order I lost SIX weeks because of RMA wait times. Did I mention that my 1st dead board managed to kill my core-i7/920? (voltage issue?) I had to wait to RAM that after my second working board revealed the greater scope of what really happened :/
(yes, I purchased a 2nd PSU to isolate the variables)
The Tomshardware reviewers of x58 boards have talked to me and said my case is rare and horror stories show themselves more than the good stories. There are no stats on paper to show the true story, but use this story, take caution and be prepared for anything. At first, my hopes were let down more and more with every passing day. Now, I'm really pleased with my system the board is delivering great power with great flexibility. Just took some up-hill climbing to get here

Great motherboard!
Pros: Working wonderful! SATA's are easy to reach! The build took me less then a hour to put together and boot! It booted without any problems! Someone with just a little knowledge could overclock this easily! Ran prime95 overnight, everything is stable! I would suggest it!
Cons: None at all. It's everything I was hoping for! Post could be a little shorter, other then that.... It's a great motherboard!

On Board NICs failed
Pros: Fairly easy build and runs 64bit Vista well.
Cons: Dual NIC chipset failed within 3 weeks. Installed a PCI D-Link NIC and everthing's running OK.
Other Thoughts: EVGA will cross-ship only if you pay them $30 AND collateralize the return with a credit card. I don't mind giving them a credit card to insure return of the defective product, but why must I pay $30 for the "privilege"? So, I must either give them an extra $30, or wait for the turnaround, then rebuild the system. No thanks, I'll keep the D-link in place and buy another mfg's board for my next i7 build. (Next week.)
Manufacturer Response:Hi, Can you please contact me directly at jacobf@evga.com. Thanks, Jacob

DOA
Pros: Very good specs for x58 motherboard. All the basic features for overclockability, too bad the board was DOA when I got it.
Cons: Same as Above.
Other Thoughts: I found out on the first day and RMA'd the board back to Newegg immediately. I was very fortunate for the customer service from Newegg, they're number 1 in customer satisfaction. I'm giving it 3 eggs for the customer service. Thanks Newegg!!!

Well Rounded
Pros: While this isn't top of the line, it is a high quality board that can run just about anything normally and is still quite capable of overclocking. The e-leet tool is handy. It all installed just fine.
Cons: The 8-pin connector is in an awkward spot by a heat sink. Also had trouble with the standard intel heatsink, in that the pushpins are troublesome. This isn't really the boards fualt though.
Other Thoughts: This can't support true 3x16 sli, but I'm only going to be adding one more gtx 280, so this isn't really a problem.

Most powerful mobo i own yet
Pros: works out of box lots of features powerful with i9 CPU
Cons: Expensive!!! Difficult to reach some pins mobo tweaking software too simple, doesn't do fan control
Other Thoughts: Newegg never disappoints and actually gives more than what customers expect. Thank you for your generosity. You will always be my first choice.

Pros: Excellent board for overclocking. Plenty of SATA connections and 3-way SLI/Crossfire support to boot. Onboard power/rest and CMOS reset buttons a plus.
Cons: Lags for a while at startup before actually starting the boot process. It takes about 5+ seconds longer to actually post than any other board I've had, hence the 4/5 instead of 5/5.

Re:scary board
Pros: This is just a followup from my previous rating. I stuck (2) 10x60mm fans (item# N82E16835705033) on the vreg heatsink and it worked wonders. Temp went from 102 to ~80 under prime95. EVGA tech support suggested I replace stock TIM with AS 5, but was unnecessary.
Cons: Would be nice if they stuck a fan on it and used AS 5 instead of cheap pads, oh well, another 15 bucks spent on fans that EVGA could have made.

My First Computer BUILD ever
Pros: Used this motherboard for my first computer build ever and im not disappointed. Everything worked perfect and I felt like it had all the bells and whistles I could hope for. Lots of SATA, Also can do SLI. I have to admit im a NOOB and use the dummy overlock and EVGA's overclock program to overclock this. ALSO note that EVGA's website has all updates for this and its very easy to update firmware, chipsets and drivers.
Cons: NONE. This motherboard was great.
Other Thoughts: This is my first build that I went with. Antec Nine Hundred Black EVGA E758-TR 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz (OverClocked with EVGA with ease) OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 ZALMAN CNPS9900LED Sony Optiarc Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W (All the power for now & Future) (2) Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB EVGA GeForce GTX 275 896MB 448-bit DDR3 (1 for now) another next year. ASUS VH226H Black 21.5" 2ms Widescreen 16:9 Full HD Logitech MX518
Every part listed here works perfect with ZERO problems. I did use arctic silver also and I do notice temps DID go down now that its been there 2 1/2 months.
FINAL Note- Building this took me over 7-8 hours. I wasnt happy till it was perfect. And Im very SLOW.
