Rating + 5 Double slot PCI express card doesn't fit in a Dell GX620

Pros: It looks nice.
Low power requirement allows you to use this in office computers w/ their standard power supply. You can buy a refurbished office computer like a Dell or HP and put in a Radeon HD 4670 and have yourself a low budget gaming computer.

Cons: I bought this before I checked to make sure that there was room on my motherboard. This video card takes up two spaces, but my motherboard on the Dell GX620 doesn't have an extra slot to the right of my PCI express slot. All of my other computers have that configuration, but the GX620 has it's PCI slots laid out in the opposite direction.

Other Thoughts: I returned this to New Egg and go a single slot Sapphire Radeon 4670 instead. It works fine.

If you have a Dell, look at your motherboard before you order this to make sure that a double slot video card will fit.

Pros: Great picture for BD rips on my htpc with this gpu. Runs cool.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Everyone else has already mentioned that it takes up 2 slots.

Rating + 5 This card rocks!

Pros: about 100x better than my old Nvidia 8500 gt (PNY)
This card plays anything with 3x the framerates my old card could.

Also runs on 300w power supply with no problems.
ATI software allows easy overclocking and fan speed control.

Cons: Took about 1 week to ship (but that's not the card's fault)

Other Thoughts: Buy this card, you won't get a better deal for your money.

Pros: Card runs fast and cool. I get 60fps on maxed settings on World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. Runs Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life games at max settings no problem. At full load with the stock fan set to 65% the card sits at 45c. When idle fan set to 40% stays at 37c. Not bad for a stock fan.

Cons: Little big. The fan almost covers the PCI slot.

Other Thoughts: Vista rates this card as 5.8

Rating + 5 Nice, quiet Card

Pros: Very easy install. Great picture. HDMI out port. Just need to hook it up to the HDTV and I'll be all set.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: As others have stated it does take up 2 slots. I had no problem with the audio. Mine is working fine. Sapphire support rocks! Newegg...what can I say? Fast on-time delivery, as always.

Rating + 5 Awesome video and quiet

Pros: The board delivers great performance, combined with lower power consumption. The Sapphire board has a large heat sink and fan. The board is near silent. I like the fact that the board takes an extra slot and exhausts air out the back.

I'm running Windows 7 and the graphics are outstanding. I can watch high resolution videos without a problem. Overall, an awesome board.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had no problems running the video board with Windows 7. Works great.

Rating + 5 quiet cool efficient!

Pros: i bought this card because it does not need extra power, ive seen ratings of idle watts 9 to 14, great! and it runs all my games at their max FPS with super high settings
it does better at idle watts than my 780g hybrid Xfire 3470
SUPER QUIET even at 35% fan power
i check it at what Catalyst says is 100% and it can be heard
40C idle, goes up a bit to 70C when fully loaded, usually 62C fully loaded
fur mark did it some heating!

Cons: i can run any games except Nexiuz with 1280x1024 i dont know if thats an XP setting issue or Catalyst 9.4
i can run benchmarks untill the moon jumps over the earth and it wont crash
as soon as i load up ETQW or Fallout3 in 1280x1024 the came crashes my system
i am not overclocking anything!!!

Other Thoughts: the price hike is normal for a slightly better card, benchmarks show a 5% increase for the gddr4 but my massive benefit for that 15% price increase is 20% less wattage at idle

9 to 14watts depending on your setup and configuration

with my new amd 720 i run 106W idle to 165W full loaded
my previous 4850e and 780g+3470 hybrid was running 109w idle to 139w full 3d loaded

worth it my gaming potential went up 66% with this

Rating + 5 Its GREAT!

Pros: I bought it knowing that my sistem is pretty lame (hp about 6 years old) 3.4ghz and 2 gb ram ddr pc300

i had no problems installing the card which is always a good thing.

I had an xfx geforce 8500 and i played these games ( gears of war, devil may cry 4, tried farcry 2, Bros in Arms Hells highway) and they were really slow im talking about 20-25 fps on minimum, i overclocked it and i got around 30 fps in devil may cry and gears of war in medium-high graphics. with this one, out of the box with the drivers the disc ha ran all these games smoothly except my computer is too slow for this card haha. Far Cry 2 at max settings is about 25 fps(1400x1050), turok the same settings but with a higher framerate, devil may cry 4 and hells highway at max settings flawlessly. oh an Moh Airborne runs pretty smoothly too at max settings.

what im trying to say is that its well worth it, dont hesitate.

(runs pretty cool too w/ little noise)

Cons: my computer is too slow for this video card.
i tried registering the videocard but ti doesnt come up in the list. some im a little concerned :/

Other Thoughts: Im building my own computer now ;)

the fan is big and this card takes up 2 slots, i dont mind and i dont think this is a con since its not a high end card at a very low price with high specs.
i overclocked it (from 750 -800) and farcry 2 became distortioned haha, but only with that game

Another thing is that when playing games like turok and farcry my computer froze for like a second once in a while when i took a fast spin on the character. (im pretty sure thats part of my processor being old, i think it loaded like everything it has to process or something like that idk)

if it doesnt, then ill give it to my brother for his brithday.

Other Thoughts: the reviews of others helped me decide that i wanted this card.

Rating + 5 Nice so far

Pros: I just received shipment yesterday so my experiences have been limited. Plugged her in with no problems (as mentioned below there is no power connection) in my 945G board and there were no hiccups involved with the fact that it's a x16 2.0 board going in a 1.0 mobo like someone was trying to tell me. I reinstalled Windows with this so the first thing I installed at boot up was the drivers from the Sapphire disk. At this point the video worked but not the audio (I'm running her through HDMI to an HDTV). Then I ran Windows Update and updated everything and installed the latest drivers for my mobo, then disabled the mobo onboard audio and installed the Catalyst drivers from the ATI site. Still no audio. Then I went to the Realtek site and got their latest drivers, "ATI HDMI Audio Device" version R2.18... BINGO that made the audio work.

The Catalyst drivers recognize all of the available resolutions and refresh rates for my HDTV with the appropriate overscan. So that's nice.

Cons: The on-card audio over HDMI didn't work with the supplied driver disk even though I was installing on a fresh installation of Windows XP SP3. I would think there might have been a conflict with my mobo's onboard audio but it didn't work even after I disabled that through the BIOS.

I guess the fact that this monkey takes up 2 slots with it's huge (albeit quiet) fan is a con. Most people would probably be buying this for a smaller case with an underpowered PSU since this is a short board with no external power requirement. On my board it renders my PCI Express x1 slot useless.

Other Thoughts: I would have been more likely to buy a 4770 if one was available with onboard HDMI at this time.

Rating + 5 I love ATI card

Pros: One word, Fast. And it does not need to any power cable to connect it in order to run, not like my 3870 which I also like, btw. Turn on max display setting to play L4D with no problems. Also no graphic problems like my old Geforce card when playing Oblivion. (It is old but still a great game, I wish there are more RPG like this instead of just FPS, can't wait for Diablo III) Bought one for friend too.

Cons: Not 1GB ram for sure, but if you are not intense game player like me, this one will be good enough. It also take up 2 slot, so anyone using both PCI slots on mATX mobo should think twice before buying it. In my case I removed my old Audigy card and used onboard sound.

Other Thoughts: Never OC so no comment on that.

Pros: Put this in my brothers gaming rig, plays WOW near flawlessly...as long as you put shadow quality to minimum.
Decent frame rates for all other games, nice price as well.
GDD4 memory, 512Mb, nice GPU, I'd recommend if your not an extreme gamer. if your an extreme gamer, get the 4890 cards.

Cons: The heat sink and fan is kinda big, if the motherboard your using has its PCIe slots close together, you may not wanna risk buying this

Rating + 5 Excellent Gaming/HTPC card

Pros: Extremely quiet, relatively powerful with low power requirements. GDDR4 memory for a slight speed increase over comparable cards.

Cons: Fan will cover slot next to card, making it unusable. Onboard audio driver over HDMI does not work. I have not tried very hard since I don't need it, but apparently it can require a complete reinstall of windows. Nothing else I have tried has worked (leaves yellow exclamation mark in device manager).

Other Thoughts: Great card for those who want to do some gaming on their HTPC. It has HDMI onboard, so you don't need an adapter to plug into TV, and will easily run most games at medium resolutions (eg 720P) with all the bells and whistles or at higher resolution (eg 1080P) without.

Rating + 4 Great lowpower card

Pros: DDR4, No extra power required, huge cooling, HDMI onboard.

Cons: The card came with a double bracket (took two spaces) unlike the pics on NewEgg and Sappire. My mobo is BTX (HP DC7800), so there's no extra spaces above the video card. It wouldn't fit, I had to contact the manufacturer and request that they send a single bracket for the card, which they did promptly. I'm happy with that support.

If you haven't read, the drivers will disable your onboard audio, so just go back into the bios and re-enable them.

Other Thoughts: So far, this has been a great replacement to the PCIE 1X Nvidia that my dc7800 came with. The Reqs do say that you need a 400+W PS, but mine has 365W and so far so good. I don't do a ton of heavy gaming, but do some and have tried a few of the lighter games. So far it's been great at 1680 X 1050.

This card fit the bill for this machine quite nicely. I'll be testing it a bit more, but expect I'll hit machine limitations before I hit limitations on the card.

Rating + 5 Silent, fast, cool, small, cheap

Pros: First off Newegg is awesome and UPS is improving (still no Fedex). The card is quiet with a nice sized fan. The increase in framerates is mind blowing compared to my old reliable X800GTO2. There really is no comparison. Even though this is a low powered card it still pumps out more than playable framerates in Empire: Total War with all settings maxed at 1680 X 1050. And this is with my old socket 939 rig. This game was unplayable on my previous card.

Read the reviews on the web about this card. The high core clock and high clocked GDDR4 make this little card a monster.

This card should keep me happy until I build a new crossfire rig. That will give me the option to hopefully put 2 of these 'butes to work.

Cons: The size, if that is a con. It is tiny and just looks cheezy. The aluminum heatsink looks really small but I am sure it is enough for this card. If I paid full for this I would be underwelmed.

Other Thoughts: Should have gone with the 4830 but the price and low power requirements sold me. I got mine open box for $55. Just could not swallow the $80. At 55 this is a sweet deal.

Rating + 5 ATI is the best

Pros: Does ATI even make any bad cards? This one was worth its weight in gold. I wish I had the proper board to really take advantage of it. I am using teh Asus P5K Wifi Deluxe which has dual PCIe, but only one is x16...the board has P35 chipset. Even with this limiatation I saw a huge difference. My original cards were the Sapphire x1650's. I didn't like them. These are awesome...I could wait to try them with NFS Undercover. I max out everything i=even on my 42" HDTV. Awesome graphics with no slowdown...even with Anti-Aliasing at a full 6x. For $80 you get NDMI...7.1 and stunninng display especially at 1080p. I ordered on Friday and received monday following even tho I choose 2 day shipping. KUDOS to Newegg on getting them here so quick.

Cons: I have a surround sound system and I couldn't get the 7.1 to work correctly. No big deal. Any card that uses 2 slots I think is a downer.

Other Thoughts: I checked out online test with cards that ise Crossfire on different chipsets...even tho P35 isn't as fast as x48 or x38. It doesn't do to bad in many games. I maxed out SimCity 4 and NFS Carbon and Undercover at full blast on all settings and it flies...this is without bumping up the bus or overclocking. This is worth the deal and don't forget the bridge connectors.

Rating + 5 Excellent Card

Pros: IT just WORKS. Attempted to upgrade from NVIDIA 6800 to 8600 and then 9600 without success. 4670 installed perfectly and ran great. Games are very playable. 8600 would crash every 3 minutes and the 9600 would give an error message that others on internet reported without success fixing. Gave away both cards for free and the secon users could not get them to work.

Cons: None for this card. I have had nearly all generations of NVIDIA and am now ready to convert to ATI.

Other Thoughts: My system is old(2005) with Pentium D 3.0 GH. New card from ATI FIT, Works, and amazes. No fan noise. No extra power cables, short length.

Pros: Card is very quiet and installed easily. I initially used the drivers disc for installation which worked fine. Then I updated to the drivers on the ATI site, Catalyst 9.2. I am running Vista 64 with a Intel Quad 6600 and 4 gb memory. I only have a 300w power supply and a PCI Express X16 slot, not version 2.0. No problems so far. Because I don't have PCI Express 2.0 my memory clock is set to 1190 mhz and the GPU clock is at 790 mhz after running the Auto-Tune utility.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: My Vista experience index went from 3.5/4.2 to 5.9/5.8.

The Sapphire website states that the card has a 2 year warranty but the Newegg site specifies a 1 year warranty.

I bought this card mainly to improve video editing experience using Pinnacle Studio 12.

I am not into gaming so no comments about that.

Rating + 4 Great... when it works

Pros: When it works, it looks fantastic and can run games like Empire Total War + Fallout 3 with high settings, maybe not the highest, but the graphics can easily beat those of a PS3 Or Xbox 360.

Cons: I found that my card would decide to stop working at random points during a game. It would just stop working giving me the No Signal error on my screen. I'm not sure if its a defective card or what? I'm about to send it back to Newegg to get it replaced.

Other Thoughts: Excellent card for your money, just try not to get a defective one!

Rating + 4 Great performance for the price

Pros: Connections on the slot (instead of extra adapters), quiet but very effective cooling. Very nice looking fan even though once inside the case you won't see it. Runs like a champ and considering the price it's a very good value.

Cons: Sparse packaging. Nothing in the way of extras (the reason for the loss of an egg in my rating).

Other Thoughts: I read through reviews of the 4600 series of cards on various 3d sites and finally set my sights on this one for the value and performance. Although all the reviewers stated that it came with a driver disk, crossfire connector and an extra disk with a few games on it (all reasons that made me choose this card over others), when I received the box from newegg and opened it there was only the video card and driver disk. It was then I checked the box and see no extras were listed on the contents of the box. Not sure why they skimped from review time till now but even though we might be buyers on a budget it would still be nice to get a little something extra with the card. With that said overall the performance is fantastic for the price and I would recommend it to any gamer on a budget.

Rating + 5 Great Mid-level Card

Pros: Extremely quiet fan. Short card length means easier installation in smaller cases (check dimensions for your exact needs).

Built-in HDMI and 7.1 surround sound

Cons: The day I took delivery, the price went down by $10, and now it has a mail-in rebate in addition plus free shipping. I should have waited a week and saved $27.

Other Thoughts: I used this to upgrade my 690G on-board video (X1200) because the motherboard video was not providing stable output on HDMI or DVI on any resolution except 1280x720. My monitor is a 1920x1080 native resolution, so I was not receiving the full benefit nor the full picture quality running at a lower res. I bought this card and it has worked well.

Rating + 3 1100Mhz Memory Clock!

Pros: It works, just not as defined.

Cons: This video card is listed on Newegg.com as to having a 2200 MHz memory clock. This is not true, as the 2200 MHz is only in 'effective' memory, not the actual standard. I purchased and entirely new motherboard to go with this PCI-E 2.0 card, only to find that the card itself was worse than my old 8600GT nVidia. I find myself very disappointed.

Pros: Quiet enough for an HTPC.
Low power.
Onboard HDMI port. (No adapter needed)
GDDR4

Cons: Takes up two slots.
A 256 bit 4830 can be had for about the same price.

Other Thoughts: They finally got the fan right on this one. The AMD CCC fan controls works well. Although this card uses two slots, it has the right fan on it. Quiet, if not silent. I had to check to see if it was running.

Rating + 5 Great Card, Great Price

Pros: DVI, HDMI, and VGA interfaces. Crossfire bridge interface!! No external power requirements.

I specifically bought this card for some entry level gaming, but didn't want to spend hundreds on a pair of cards for a good CrossfireX build. I couldn't wait to try it out when I got it. I swapped out my old 8800GTS Nvid card (a freebie, a friend gave me, which is a power hog, and very loud!) with this and wow, I can actually hear again! And I'm getting better frame rates than I did with the big 'old clunky 8800.

I don't have enough of a power supply (500W) to run both (recommended 550W for a pair, as stated on the box), but I will in my new Phenom II x4 build.

Cons: No crossfire bridge - Box states "In the box: Graphics Card, Driver CD, Cables, User Manual."

I would assume the "Cables" that were supposed to be included was the crossfire bridge. There were no cables of any type... just the card (in a nice bubble-anti-static bag!), driver CD, multi-language installation instructions, and squishy black foam packaging.

I e-mailed the company weeks ago, but no response regarding my question of the misprinted box.

Other Thoughts: I heard of some HDMI output issues, but these are easily resolved tweaking settings in the ATI CCC. I don't use HDMI, so no problems here.

Rating + 4 HDMI issues

Pros: Cool and Quiet
GDDR4 for the price of GDDR3

Cons: HDMI issues

Other Thoughts: I have to agree with the HDMI issues the other reviewer mentioned.
Overscan is only one of the three major HDMI issues of this card (or maybe all 4670 cards).
If anyone plans to use the HDMI output of this card, please read the following section.

1. Overscan. The default value of the HDMI interface's over scan is -15%, resulting in a black frame on the HDMI display. Change it to 0% and let your display "Just Scan" to solve this problem.

2. Pixel format. The default is RGB 4:4:4, making the graphics on the HDMI looking very strange (like the video mode of some monitors, but even videos look awful). Change the pixel format to YPbPr 4:4:2 (not sure if this is the right one, but there are only four of these, one works).

3. Issues with moving text. After the first 2 step, the graphics should look exactly the same as DVI...until you begin to scroll a web page on the HDMI display. The text just won't stay together...but videos work perfectly. No known solution yet.

Rating + 5 This is one great video card for less than $100

Pros: Simple installation
Does not require much power
Does not require a six pin connector
Energy Efficient / Built in HDMI
Useful and sensible connections that for me will require no adapters

Cons: Nothing I can think of at this price.

Other Thoughts: This is a good card. You sense the build quality holding in in your hands. I ordered one for my wife's pc and I like it so much that I ordered one for my computer.

Rating + 5 A great powerful low energy card perfect for an HTPC!

Pros: 512MB of fast GDDR4 memory, built in HDMI that supports 7.1 audio, great for 1080p HD playback including 24p and also 1080p h264 encoded mkv's (as long as you setup DXVA properly), SD content playback is superb... easily tweakable through the drivers to be close to perfect in terms of post processing and deinterlacing. I haven't found a GPU that worked this well on both the HD and SD fronts. This GPU is near SILENT!!!!

Cons: You must sacrifice a second slot when using this card... the fan takes up that much space. No other cons other than that and I'm not holding it against the card since they did this to ensure a very quiet card during operation whether it's idle or under full load!!

Other Thoughts: DVI and HDMI are practically the same in theory - just transferring an unaltered digital signal. DVI should look no better than HDMI and vice versa. I believe if someone was having trouble with poor HDMI video quality (provided their TV/Monitor supports the resolution they are attempting to use) that they are suffering from an overscan issue which can easily be fixed if you adjust the overscan slider in the ATI CCC panel.

This card is fantastic in my HTPC... HD playback is perfect, SD playback is close to perfect (deinterlacing is fantastic, post processing is close to fantastic), I can barely hear the fan on the GPU when I have the case open and I can't hear it at all when the case is closed (Antec Fusion Black). My only wish is that the fan wasn't so large... but that's the sacrifice you need to make if you want a quiet GPU (unless you pay more for a fanless solution). The native HDMI connection is great since you don't have to rely on a adapter. Audio works fantastic.

Rating + 4 A Energy Saving Card

Pros: only 14w when idle according to Tom's Hardware
GDDR4@2200Mhz
Very quiet cooler

Cons: HDMI output @1920*1080 really sucks
VGA output requires manual tuning

Other Thoughts: Since I have a computer that runs 24/7, this is really the card for me. The idle power consumption of my computer drops from 180w (8800GTS-512) to 145w, could save me over $60/year on electricity bills. It's about 80% as fast as a 9600GT, but considering the low power consumption, there is no real alternative for me.

The HDMI output is really the problem of this card. 1080p looks unthinkable on a HDTV. There are tricks to improve it, many, many, but none can lead to a picture as clean as DVI or VGA output (or pixel to pixel mapping).

AMD or ATI, their drivers suck. Not on any technical ground, just talking about being "considerate". For instance, the VGA output of this card clearly has too high a default sharpness, making text look somehow blinking. The solution is simple, lower the sharpness by hand either soft way or the hard way, but why AMD/ATI not doing it just like what nVidia always does?

A good card overall, could be better if it's not AMD/ATI.

Rating + 5 Great buy!!!

Pros: -Great card, it was easy to install, took 20 minutes including drivers.
-ddr4, very fast, lil bit better than ddr3
-Low power comsumption, it takes less than 60 watts on load.
-Great for a not so good psu, like i have.
-Does NOT require a 6 pin connector, all power is given through the motherboard.

Cons: Well, the 128bit face kinda holds it Back a little, but it still preforms GREAT!

Other Thoughts: I tested it some heres what i got
COD4 MAXED: 60FPS Average
MEDAL of HONOR MAX: 35FPS constant, demanding :)
I am going to test out Crysis and test drive unlimited right now, its a great product, keeps very cool its at 32c right now :) GREAT, i payed 80$ for this card, and it was a great price. Gotta turn in my M&R to see if i get it :D
