Good Card
Pros: It's cheap and has good TV output from what I can tell so far. I'm actually able to ajust the size and location (side-side, top-bottom) of the S-video output, which didn't work on the card it's replacing.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: This card was purchased to replace an aging GeForce 3 card and for S-video output only to my TV.

Light weight performing card
Pros: Good card for a dedicated server. OK for low end browsing computers that have no need for high performance graphics. Reliable, no fan to worry about. Its like the [battery] bunny - it just keeps going and going and going and.... Installed fine in a Fedora Linux system. No problems for windows up to XP.
Cons: Don't expect performance from this card. It wasn't designed for modern gaming systems. Probably a little light weight for full graphics in Vista.
Other Thoughts: Very basic graphics card for very basic graphics displays. If any real graphics capabilities are required, spend a few more bucks and get a better card.

Good Card
Pros: works great on my system 2.4ghz celeron 1mb ram 160 gb hdd. flawless for older games. great price.
Cons: none for the price. i bought the 128mb dx9 version. for serious gaming go with a newer card. at least 256mb. this one is 64mb dx8.
Other Thoughts: great price. good for 1-2yr old games.

Nice low-end card
Pros: Price (cheap) also included a haetsink which is decent enough!!! I have test to see if it's hot but it's actually pretty good!!!
Pair it with a low-end combo of ECS mb and a 3Ghz P4, add 512MB of Ram. Now I can watch movies online on my old giant 50' projection TV.
Strongly recommmended for someone who are looking for a low-end video card that has TV out option. For what I need, this card was perfect. Where else can you get a video card for twenty-four bucks?!!! Newegg rocks
Cons: None for my purpose!!! For someone who are looking for video card for games, this is definitely not the one.
Other Thoughts: Wonder if this thing works well under XP MCE though?!!! Anyway, I'm very very satisfied with the card!!! Wish the same to y'all

works
Pros: cheap video card price wise.. and if all you're doing is looking for a cheap card to replace a failing(dead) onboard video in an older system.. this is the card for the job. does exactly what you need it to without trying to shoehorn a monster card into a small/older chassis.
Cons: considering it's age technologically speaking, i figured it'd be a few bucks cheaper, but oh well. worked great in a pinch.

Good Low-Cost TV-out Card
Pros: I bought this card to connect my old Pentium 4 to the TV over our treadmill. My wife uses a wireless mouse and keyboard to check her E-mail, surf the net, et cetera while walking on the treadmill. We may convert to a hand held pointer type mouse. This does the job, for $xx.
Cons: The card is fine. The shortcoming is only that one can't expect great resolution on a CRT television.
Other Thoughts: Newegg does a great job, offering a variety of products, bargain pricing, fast turnaround, and excellent service.

Good enough for old PCs
Pros: I bought this card for my old lab PC(4~5 year old?). It works great with linux. Let alone Windows, Linux device driver works great. (I'm using Gentoo)
Cons: None

Great little card but ...
Pros: Easy Installation in both Win XP and Linux as both Op systems recognize it without any problem.
Cons: I wish the box included a bit more detailed User Guide, describing what to do whith all those features the card offers. As it is, I am clueless.
Other Thoughts: Great value for the money.

works great!
Pros: I bought this to use in my 2003 Server while I study for my MCSE certification. It works just fine and '03 Server even had the drivers built it.
Cons: You can't see the really cool MSI shaped heat sink when it's in the server!
Other Thoughts: Dirt cheap, and works great - what more could you ask for?!?!

Solid Card
Pros: Does what it needs to do.
Cons: None if your expectations are reasonable.
Other Thoughts: I installed two of these in older machines which burned up their previous graphics cards. They still work exactly as they should. Remember with Nvidia cards that you should use the reference drivers from the Nvidia website and not the drivers which come with the card if you want maximum reliability (the driver set works all the way back to the TNT series).

good card for older systems
Pros: Easy installation. just snap it into the agp slot and reboot the computer. WinXPSP2 detected it immediately even without any of the drivers installed yet.
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: download updated drivers from the nvidia website.the drivers on the cd are old.

Too Intense
Pros: MSI brand. Price.
Cons: Made my monitor so bright that it made my eyes feel like I had been staring into the sun! None of the color controls could fix this problem, including those on the monitor. My onboard S3 graphics with 32mb shared does a better job. Is somewhat faster too. Live 3 software was no help what so ever. My card's driver was not even listed in the search results. I eventually found the latest driver at Nvidia's site...Touchstone's driver agent scan confirmed I had the right driver.
Other Thoughts: Not sure what my problem is here. I tried an expensive ATI Radeon back in the summer but had some of the same problems. Could be the Samtron monitor 77V needs replacing. Guess I'll just have to live with things as they are until I can throw more money at this problem.

Will Not Activate Vista Aero Features
Pros: Great price; great value.
Cons: Not robust enough to activate the Aero featurs in Vista.
Other Thoughts: Returning this to get the FX5500. I hope my power supply can handle it. (Handled this one fine, but it's close to maxed out now.

Nice card
Pros: Nice video card... has worked well with no problems.... I've had good luck with MSI product thus far; I plan to keep using them
Cons: Not really a con, but I did not notice (totally my bad) it was an AGP card when I bought it.... but as luck would have it, the epox mobo I bought had an AGP slot.
Other Thoughts: Mental note: read product descriptions closely!

Works Great on HP Pavillion
Pros: Installed this on my old HP Pavillion 8765C to replace the defective 16mb Nvide Vanta card that came with the machine. The ASUS K7M motherboard only has a 1X/2X AGP slot but this works with out a problem. I tested download speed at Toast and the speed double from the prior card.
Cons: The drivers that came with the card would not work with XP (even though the documentation said it would. The machine would only boot in safe mode. I downloaded the drivers from the MSI website (from another machine)and installed them. It works great!

Very Good Card
Pros: I was using an old ATI Rage 8mb card. My system is a 900mhz Athlon CPU with Epox motherboard. Can't afford to build a new system right now but wanted better graphics for Google Earth. At first I was not sure whether this card would work for me. My bios only shows a maximum of 2x. But after research I found as long as you can plug the board into your AGP slot it will most likely work. This card has the slots on it to use the proper voltage from your motherboard whether it is 1.5 or 3.3. Mine is 3.3volts.
Google Earth really flys now :)
Cons: None for me.
Other Thoughts: I am not a gamer so cannot advise on these situations

nice bitty card
Pros: very low profile, needed this so i can chop off the top of the bracket as to fit it inside an old vcr case (media pc case mod). havn't tried the tv-out yet, that was the main feature i needed, in addition to being waaay cheap. no fan=good quiet times. no plans to game on it, although maybe i should turn the media pc into an emulator box as well...
Cons: the drivers on the cd gave me odd memory errors, (memory error bsod, f-ed up) but the (supposedly) same drivers of msi's website work great from what i've seen, no errors.

Excellent card...
Pros: Runs many current games, and all games 2-3 years old. I have it playing Call of duty with high settings at 1024x768, with smooth video. I also have it playing San Andreas at 800x600, but I can move it up to 1024x768 in winter(I don't have AC).
Cons: Has a heatsink, but no fan. Fan could help it stay much cooler, even the environment is around 65-70f, the card warms up to around 40c.
Other Thoughts: Those who say it's not for gamers, are either asking too much from it or aren't gamers themselves.

A pretty good little card
Pros: Cheap, will run quite a few DX9 games with all settings set to minimum of course, overclocks fairly well
Cons: For the price, I can't complain. Except maybe that Oblivion doesn't even attempt to run when it sees this card installed, but I certainly can't blame it!
Other Thoughts: My FX5200 died And I needed a card fast (can't see anything without one!), so bought this as a temp card, while I decided which 'real' card I wanted to buy. I'm kind of having fun seeing what it can do, (she doesn't like much more than 640x480/minimum quality settings when playing DX8/9 games). It gets about 60FPS in UT2004. I also played a little Half Life2 and Doom3, HL2 wasn't too bad, around 27fps. Doom3 was pretty bad at 13FPS, but still playable. I also overclocked the core to 370Mhz and the RAM to 450Mhz. I could probably go higher if it had better cooling. Overclocking it gave me an extra 6FPS in the above mentioned games.
BTW, don't bother even touching the CD that came with it, go to Nvidia's website and get some real drivers.

lot of options
Pros: I love the video card, replace my asus 32 mb vid card that was dying. Snap it in the motherboard and away we go. Lot of options, better viewing and smoother graphic
Cons: Love the heatsink, could be better instead of sitting there upside down. The cd that it come with is loaded with stuff that is dated and junk software. Just install the driver, then go to update driver after ur pc reboot.
Other Thoughts: would buy for old motherboard all day long

Linux set top box
Pros: NV18 gpu drivers haven't given trouble in SUSE 10, FC5, or DapperDrake. Great price when I bought it. I was amazed at how fast it got here. Thanks Newegg!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: If you want or need stability, buy popular and mature hardware. OS installations will be much faster and less painful.

Great Product for the Money
Pros: Installed effortlessly on Dell Dimension 4100. Worked out of the box as per the Quick Installation instructions.
Cons: The MSI Live Update 3 utility corrupted my PC and I had to reboot in Safe Mode to uninstall it so my PC would boot. I don't recommend installing this on a Windows 2000 OS.

Good for the price
Pros: Good for my secondary computer. The overclocking feature is a nice touch. Although, it does not include a fan for cooling the GPU. Easy install.
Cons: None as of yet.
Other Thoughts: MSI has a strong image issue. The heatsink I recieved was in the shape of the letters MSI, it also includes a sticker to put on your computer to say you own the card. LOL.

Budget Graphics
Pros: Price, obviously, and basic 3D acceleration. No noise, has a nice copper heatsink, doesn't get very hot. Could be converted to low-profile if you wanted. Linux compatible. Works fine for older games.
Cons: Only has one vga port, doesnt come with an s-video-to-composite adapter, doesn't come with a low-profile hanger.
Other Thoughts: The heatsink is machined into the letters "MSI" from the side... only problem is the letters are backwards when viewed through a case window. If you're looking at this card, you know it's not fast compared to anything in the FX line.

Great Value
Pros: incredibly cheap; one thing that i didn't see previously noted is that this card allows you to use a dual "monitor" setup using your tv as one of the monitors; xp sp2 auto detected the drivers for this card, no need to find them elsewhere
Cons: i have read that MSI puts out poor quality electronics...i haven't seen any evidence of this as of yet, but who knows what the future will bring...
Other Thoughts: twenty seven dollars is a great deal for a tv out card, period.

Pros: good replacement for my burnt out gf2 ultra. dust got into the fan and it stopped spinning long enough to overheat the chip.
Cons: what do you expect from a x4 card? :)

Good Performance
Pros: For the price and memory size/speed this video card works well. Plays World of Warcraft with acceptable frame rate and quality settings. It also helps that the machine it is installed in has 1GB of PC3200 memory.

Pros: price. no probs w/ included drivers.

Card does what it was designed for
Comments: I used this card to replace a blown out Geforce 2 card on a micron P3 733 running XPsp2 I bought back in 2000. The display wouldn't even come up with the old card so I plugged in the new card and the screen came up fine. Grabbed the latest drivers from nvidia's website with no problem. I can't imagine this thing is a monster for games but if you just want to do basic apps this card should meet your needs at a low price point.

not bad
Comments: the heatsink is different in the one on the image, or at least mine was. Anyways, it's a big heatsink, and that's good cause even when running the 3d fish screensaver (uses D3D hardware) it gets untouchably hot. But I got this for my grandmother. It supports Digital Vibrance, a nice color enhancement from nvidia (as long as it's not turned up too high). It works and looks great. I think it has like 2 rendering pipelines. I just HAD to test it, and it works with Max Payne (640x480 medium detail), Quake III Arena (640x480 high/medium detail), Original Half life 640x480 high detail - OpenGL), and Heretic 2
More then sufficient for oldskool gaming and surfing the net

Sweet Bargain Upgrade Card
Comments: This Low End Graphics card is very good, an exceptional bargain. I bought it to get a 600 MHz Althon system more current so I could recycle it to someone that needed a basic system for college. I bought it because I’d had great experience with nvidia products before. Frankly I had trouble this time. But now that its working it’s wonderful. I ordered a version that didn’t come with the a driver. No problem I thought,… because I always go out to the nvidia site and download the current drivers and it works great. Not so true this time. The nvidia drivers worked fine on win98se. But after a upgrade to XP I got NMI blue screen of death errors. After a long and painful debug elimination process…. Here is what you do to make it work. You google for MX4000-T64 and it takes you to MSI page for the card. …One that I couldn’t find normally while looking for drivers. Download that driver, nvidia 53.03 , install it,… works very very nice. I put it in with a newegg CHAINTECH AV-512 6 (5.1) Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail and a newegg SONY Black IDE CD Burner Model CRX230EE/B2 - OEM. Now it’s wonderful at playing dvds. Looks and sounds great. I’m sure it wouldn’t scream for current first person shooters and such, but it provides a beautiful interface for older games, the internet and office apps. I halfway wonder if the people that complained about this card didn’t have the right driver.

Comments: Bought this card just because I needed a better/newer AGP card. It does the job I need it to. I'll upgrade to a better one if I want to play some games. This card is NOT supported by City of Heroes - maybe that's obvious. One of the only games I like to play on my Pc is Black & White - which it runs just fine.
Overall it's a solid card for everyday use - NOT for serious gaming.
Bonus points for the cool looking heatsink. :p

Comments: This card is horrible for today's games, except RPGs and other small games, it's kind of slow and games like battlefield vietnam/1942 cannot run on full settings because it lags, for BF2, don't buy it cause the game just launches and shuts down because the card is too slow. The games coming out need at least 256MB DDR of Ram, and this card as 64MB DDR. I really encourage you if you are a serious gamer to buy the NVidia geforce 6800GT or up.

Comments: I'm not a game player; all I needed was an inexpensive card to replace one that had gone bad. This one fired right up and worked great! Newegg was very prompt as usual.

Comments: This card is horrible, slower than my old 32mb GeForce 2 GTS. I would not reccommend it for anyone seriously looking at using it for anything more than DX7 games.

Comments: Great Graphic card, i have a P3 868Mhz, 128MB RAm, 40GB hard drive and this, MSI MX4000 64MB. I can play most of the game at playable frame rates, <45 in counter strike 1.6, i planned on upgrading my ram to 256MB maybe it'll improve gameplay.

Comments: I'm a system admin for a mid-size office network, where we run mostly linux. I used this vid card on our newest three systems, and this card is perfect for photo-editing, browsing, and word processing. Not sure about gaming, but it does have linux support with Fedora 2 & 3.

Great Card , oddball software
Comments: I love this card , I never experienced AGP 8X untill now. Card runs my games smoothly and was the right price for an upgrade. However , the software that was included was a little bit weird. MSI included their custom version of NVIDIA Drivers that includes an overclocking control panel. Well .. thats dandy and all but what about if you dont know what your doing ? If you install this card, and are a bit afraid that you might mess something up with the included custom drivers , download the drivers from NVIDIA first , then install the card, then install the drivers. A 5 for sure on the card , but a 3 for the software.

Not bad
Comments: Bought this card for a customer upgrade. Using in an older machine, 900 TB, 256 SDRAm. Major different when installed in place of an old 16 meg TNT2 card. Of course this isn't a gaming machine put this card really speeded up the system & for xxxxx you can't go wrong.
