Great price but no rebate !
Pros: Can't hear the fan but it's working. Runs cool too. Runs both my 19 inch monitors fine. Driver disk and overclocking software work also. Fast delivery and processing by NewEgg !
Cons: Submitted rebate in April and still no response. The rebate process is lengthy ( Purchaser must fill out on-line form to qualify ) in addition to sending UPC and Serial Number. I did everything correctly ( jumped thru hoops ) but still never received rebate as advertised.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg is Great but Dont count on Rebate. Has brought my Vista 32bit score to all 5.9's = the highest score given. My system : Gigabyte 3D Aurora Case with Antec 650watt pwr. Asus P5Q SE/R MB with C2Q8200 under OCZ Vendetta 2 3Gigs dualchannel & 3 Hdrives and multiple DVD's Logitech Z-2300 200watt 2.1 Speaker system ! 90% of my system is from NewEgg ! They are the best.

disappointed
Pros: nice card... good price
Cons: Dead after 2 days took a week to get here . RMA to New Egg at my cost. took them 8 days from the time they recieved the card to tell me they would not replace it due to a missing serial#
Other Thoughts: Now I have to go directly to the Manufacturer. What fun!

msi 9600 gt oc t2d512
Pros: I have a question-I have the msi t2d512 oc verison 1. It is featured below this model. will other 9600 gt cards work with it on sli groupings? do they both have to be oc versions?
Cons: the t2d 512 oc is bulky and noisy.

Great Buy!
Pros: Very pleased with the performance per dollar spent. COD5 was an excellent bonus. GPU-aware apps such as Premiere Pro CS4 and Lightroom have a much snappier response.
Cons: It is large, but if you didn't have that heatsink you wouldn't get the performance.
Other Thoughts: Breathes new life into the 2005-vintage dual-core; I'll keep running this hardware until it croaks.

noisy fan, big and bulky card
Pros: easy to install; updates fine and works. runs quiet when the fan is ON.
Cons: Big and bulky then picture. Fan is quite noisy when it kicks in during game play. I have a watt metter to check the power on my system. I found that this card does take up a lot of juice while playing assassin creed or any other games, 240watt - that's a lot! And the card is very hot! You may want to watch your psu can handle it. If you care about the noise level when your system is ON, then I don't recommend it.
Other Thoughts: Got this with MIR but it's been over 4months and I still have heard anything. thinking msi likely lost my claim as they have been know for. I hope they don't mess up my rebate again.

MSI GeForce 9600
Pros: Pretty easy install. Learned that my old version of XP was pre-PCI-E. Was able to create/slipstream a new install disk with SP2. Looking forward to gaming with this card. Nice big fan, but quiet.
Cons: None yet.

Cool, quiet and fast
Pros: This card is everything that I hoped it would be. Easy installation, cool operation compared with my other card. I'm seeing temps of 42 degrees, which is much cooler than the EVGA board that fried. I'm a happy customer so far I have built a few systems, and I am pleased with this board.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I'm using 64 bit Linux, and I installed nVidia's drivers, and it works great! I have purchased a few items from Newegg, and I couldn't be happier.

big but good
Pros: Nice card, free game with it. Graphics look sick now. Easy to install.
Cons: It's big and blocks a lot of airflow in my case.

Great price with the rebate !
Pros: Can't hear the fan but it's working. Runs cool too. With the rebate and a free game what's not to like. Runs both my 19 inch monitors fine. Driver disk and overclocking software work also. Fast delivery and processing by NewEgg !
Cons: The rebate requirements online with MSI do take a while.
Other Thoughts: Has brought my Vista 32bit score to all 5.9's = the highest score given.

Fast, quiet
Pros: This card is about 3x better than the 9500 GT, which I sold to buy it. Quake 4 and ET: Quake Wars get 60fps with 4xAA and maxed settings at 1920x1080. Very quiet fan, can hardly hear it.
Cons: Wide; covers up one of my PCI slots. Long; had to move a hard drive to another slot to fit it in the case. No biggie, though, because it fit and I don't use the PCI slots. You should measure first, though.
Other Thoughts: I got it for $65 with the rebate. Incredible value, when the 9500 GT is selling for around $55. Works perfectly in Ubuntu Linux 8.04 with the newest nVidia drivers. I got the 9500 because I thought it would be able to play older/less demanding games (e. g. Quake 4, Painkiller, Nexuiz) with settings maxed, but it didn't really deliver. IMHO the 9600 is the sweet spot for the gamer with a budget.
