Rating + 4 Good for a year..

Pros: Was good for awhile then got outdated FAST.

Cons: Got a new 24 inch monitor and this card just doesn't have enough ram to play crysis 1920x 1200.
Every game I play I have to tweak it for hours and days to get it to play correctly..

Other Thoughts: Use the www.tweakforce.com drivers

Rating + 1 non-starter, DOA

Pros: specs are great, price is right, what's the catch....?

Cons: oh, yeah...it doesn't work. tried everything I can think of to get this card to work as advertised. could never get it to go above 1024x768 resolution. flashed my puters bios, installed latest drivers, even re-installed Windows. this thing is dead. anytime the computer goes to sleep, i can't get the video signal back without switching the cable to the other port on the video card. since installing the card i get extreme flakiness in anything that goes over the USB bus (?!). Mouse is jerky, keyboard stutters. Systems works flawlessly with the onboard video, so this card must be a dud.

Other Thoughts: Lots of DOAs reported here. Newegg should offer a refund instead of an exchange. Hope I'm not going to get somebody's cast-off. RMA in progress. Buyer beware.
Manufacturer Response:Hi,

Rating + 5 beast....

Pros: It's beastly for gaming, absolutely amazing graphics. It stays cool even under heavy gaming and it even looks nice!

Cons: Not so much a con but if you put wheels with trucks on it, you can ride it as a skateboard that's how big it is and also it blocks my SATA ports on my motherboard but that's not EVGA's fault.

Other Thoughts: Great buy, trust me. I've used the XFX 9600GSO and the BFG 8800GT and this blows them away in size and in game play.

Rating + 5 Great Upgrade

Pros: For the price this card was an awsome upgrade i can fairly run most of the games i have like WoW 60fps+, Halo 2, Star Trek Legacy on highest settings. So Far it runs very cool and quiet. If your on a budget this is one of the best cards to get.

Cons: This card is Huge i had to rearrange my motherboard connections to accomidate this card. But that might be cause i have a rather small case on my comp.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have at least a 450+ power supply.

Pros: Tears up anything I can throw at it. Quieter than my old 8800GT. Did I mention it can handle pretty much anything?

Cons: Huge. Had to move hard drives in my full tower. Not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Runs a bit hot but that might be my old case. Only 51C under heavy load but I'm paranoid about cards.

Rating + 4 Missing HDMI Adapter and S/PDIF

Pros: Great card but...

Cons: Missing the DVI->HDMI adapter and S/PDIF audio cable that was advertised.

Other Thoughts: Luckily, after registering the product with EVGA and calling their tech support they agreed to ship me the missing pieces. Would be nice if they just included them to begin with.

Pros: *Performance
*Very Quiet (compared to my old 8800gts 512)
*Price

Cons: *Heat

Other Thoughts: Free upgraded from an 8800gts 512. Didn't see much if any of a performance increase but I didn't expect to. Fan seems quieter than my old card. Gets a little hot but so does every other high performance card. Runs games such as Crysis, Unreal, Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars all on highest settings @ 1680x1050. Would recommend.

Rating + 5 Sweet Sweet Card

Pros: This is a very fast good card! It is a bit power hungry, takes 2x6pin connectors, so make sure your power supply can handle it. High frame rates, unless you have quad extemes this card will not be a bottleneck of your system. `

Cons: Doesn't fix my car.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, buy it, buy it, there are a lot of options in this price range. But none that can beat it in performance. 4870s, 260s, and 280s are in 200-500$ range. So if you looking for performance/price, you cannot go wrong with this card.

Rating + 5 awesome card

Pros: love this card, i have it running on my Phenom II 3.0Ghz, asus 750a, 320GB western digital caviar 32MB cache, i get a solid 190 fps max settings on cs: source, and i ran COD:WaW between 38 and 65 fps, i hav run crysis max settings 35-41 fps, and it rarely dips below that.

Cons: i think i got a bad card, i tested on my friends HDMI and about 10min into it, everthing was running great, and the screen suddenly tweaks out and looks like the snow channel on an old tv. shut it down and does it again 10-15min after booting.

Other Thoughts: would definately reccommend to anyone interested in mid-high lvl gaming. certainly the best decision i hav made on a buy yet

Rating + 5 great stuff

Pros: best price/performance ratio u can ever get in a gpu.eats all games including crysis very well.highly recommended.

Cons: none related to the card.

Other Thoughts: newegg/evga sent me a card that was clearly an original gtx, with the + sign taped on it, not the 55nm as claimed in ads.(verified with gpu-z) did not wanna go through the RMA process so i just kept it.stepped up to the 260 , and i tell u the whole process is a pain. it takes forever plus the prices are bloated.am seriously questioning my loyalty to evga after what i have gone through.having bought 4 of their cards in the last 2 yrs, i really dont need lifetime warranty and the extra premium i pay for evga stuff. hello zotac & bgf, how u doin?

Rating + 5 Great Graphic card

Pros: Great graphic card!! Excellent warranty from EVGA -- life time -- but you have to register the product. I bought this card to replace my old ATI Radeon 850 XT which came with my old Dell XPS Gen4 system in Aug. Even though this system lacks in CPU horse power, this card still performs outstanding on its own Nvidia's given rights. For example, I can't believe my eyes after I dressed up, put on my war gears and joined my USMC comrads in a mission in COD4 -- the "War Pig" map (run at 1600x1200, 2x AA -- avg 45 FPS). I stood behind the A1M1 tank and I saw the heated-exhaust from the eninge so realistic that I was afraid I was going to get burnt. This is something that I've not experienced with my ole faithful ATI 850 XT. I can't say much about Crysis since I only have an antique Intel P4 3.8GHz CPU. We all know Crysis demands it's own right to the latest and fastest hardware. However, at midium settings and @1024x768 and @ 2x AA, I was able to play it w/decent FPS - similar to 850.

Cons: This graphic card will not heat food!! Make sure you have a microwave (at full load I have yet to see the temp jumps above 65C - @auto fan control).

Other Thoughts: At first I was afraid that Dell XPS Gen4 might not have enough power-juice to make this card happy -- 450/W PSU. However, they seem to live happy-ever-after.

O.K, I am guilty of my humanly greed!! Now I want more (thought I could just shut up and be happy after getting this card for my old system)! Boy, how so wrong I'm! I've Just placed an order from Dell for a new XPS 730x H2C cooling system, i7-965 XE 3.2GHz @3.73GHz, 6GB DDR3. I'm looking at you Crysis!!!

1. This is a great graphic card for the momey - get two and SLI (found a few bench marks that two of these poppies in SLI out perform a single GTX280. But GTX280 will outpeform them in ultra high resolution monitors - the 1GB memory on card is the advantage v.s 512MB on 9800 GTX+).

2. After a few months of gaming, I have not had problems with this card. Why worry -- its Life Time Warranty, baby!

3. NewEgg rocks!! I've been a faithful customer for the last few years and this Egg has yet to crack on me. Kudo NewEgg!!

Rating + 5 Awesome

Pros: This monster plays everything I can throw at it. I can play Crysis: Warhead at Ultra High settings. COD4 never goes under 70FPS. Source games with Vertical Sync Sets the FPS at 60 max, and it never deviates. I would highly recommend this card, If your case can fit it.

Cons: Its big, but that's to be expected. Get a mid-tower, at least.

Other Thoughts: Q6600 quad core 2.4ghz
2X2GB DDR2
500GB Sata drive
P45T-A LGA Mobo
GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB
730W power supply.

Rating + 3 Mediocre Performance

Pros: After owning this card for 3 months I can say that it really is fast, allowing me to run games at high quality settings, except for AA of course. The card fits ever-so-snuggly in my Antec 900 case and touches the back of my hard drives in the top removable bay. I've played Mass Effect and Oblivion thus far.

Cons: So many BSODs it is getting annoying. The problem is driver related and has been an issue for the past four driver updates. Right now I am using 184.48 so there is no additional option. No updates seem to get it right. I have to save my games so much that I am moving to another card through EVGAs step-up program. I will give them another chance with the G280. All I play is Oblivion and I am not using high settings by any means. Actually, I have AA turned off and have tried multiple setting changes, but still get BSODs all over the place. There seems to be no pattern either when playing Oblivion. Hopefully EVGA will look into this since Oblivion is a great game.

Other Thoughts: The driver problem may only be Oblivion-related...

Pros: Very fast, way better than using the standard GPU bonded to my mother board. Running a 22" WS and a 19"WS on it with no problem, heated my computer up very little due to the excellent ventilation.

Cons: monsterous card, had to move my Hard disk to make room for this

Other Thoughts: i dont know if it was just mine, but when attaching the power supply to it, the connecter took a long time to get to go in due to being so tight, minor annoyance but after 5 mins with it i got it to go in

Rating + 5 What a BEAST!

Pros: One of the most impressive video cards I've used in a while. A lot of new cards boast more seed or power, but they come with major heat issues or stability problems. This card is extremely stable under both Windows XP and Windows Vista. The best part is it's heat efficiency and exhaust. It doesn't blow heat up to the processor or down on other PCI cards. A+++

Cons: This thing is MONSTROUSLY HUGE! If you have the space for it, it's worth it!

Other Thoughts: In general I play World of Warcraft, EvE Online, HL2 Mods, and GTA4 regularly. I tried Crysis and it worked well, but wasn't a fan of the game play.

Rating + 5 Excellent Video Card

Pros: This is a great card. I'm currently running this as a single card with an Intel E8600 processor. Averages 15,000 in 3DMark06 with no OC. Looks great on my 24" Sceptre @ 1920 x 1200. This card is an extra fine value when you catch it on sale and with a rebate. I have plenty of room in my NZXT Tempest Crafted Series Mid Tower case.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Outfitted my new rig completely through Newegg. You can't beat their service or prices!

Pros: A really good board that gives me max resolution for everything that I want to do while running Folding@Home-GPU and earning 4800+ points per day depending on the work unit.

Cons: It is not really a con but it reuires 2-6 pin plugs for power.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these (both from Newegg) and haven't had a bit of trouble with either one. They are large boards that require a quite a bit of power but produce a good display on my 24" monitor.

Rating + 5 Excellent card

Pros: Everything, except price and DVI spacing. Fan and build seem very high quality. Good temperatures, haven't really tried or had to overclock it yet.

Cons: The ATI Radeon 4850 is a little cheaper for about the same quality card. I chose the 9800gtx+ because I heard stories of heat, wattage, and driver problems with that particular card.

The DVI spacings on this card suck. They're juuuuuust far apart enough to work with two monitors plugged in, but barely. It's a VERY tight fit.

Other Thoughts: No problems so far, playing Crysis on high with it, and most other games maxed out.

My video card temps idle at about 45-47 degrees Celsius.

This card is HUGE.

Evga out did themselves on this one!

Cons: The size...it hardly fits in a mid sized ATX case I had to bribe my parents into giving me 150$ to buy a full sized tower!

Other Thoughts: Heat doesnt seem to be an issue with my exhaust fan blowing on full so im not all that worried about my case heating up.

Rating + 2 Slow 2D, not cutting it with Adobe CS4

Pros: Low cost.

Cons: Bought this with the intent of getting better OpenGL GPU acceleration in Photoshop CS4. The 2D line drawing performance is miserable - I'm guessing that it's a driver issue since lesser nvidia cards have benchmarked much better. The OpenGL performance in Photoshop CS4's GPU-enhanced image zooming and viewing is marginal, with jerky pans. Hard to say if that's driver related too, but the drivers are focused on gaming performance so it's not surprising that the drivers may be compromised for non-gaming applications. I'll likely replace this card with a workstation-class GPU once there's more info on what cards and drivers are really doing the job with CS4.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure this card deserves the high rating that got me to buy it. The low rating is specifically for this card's performance in Photoshop CS4 and for its 2D line drawing slug-like performance.
Manufacturer Response:Hi,

To get the most use for general purpose applications, make sure you install the 180.48 drivers, they are located here:

Pros: Its amazingly fast; it runs everything I throw at it Warcraft Fronze Throne to Devil May Cry 4. I set my resolution to 1680 x 1050 and I get over a hundred FPS. Definitely worth buying.

Cons: If you don't have at least a mid tower for this then you might want to reconsider buying cause this bad boy is huge.

Pros: This is an insanely fast card. Runs L4D, Cod4, UT3, TF2, CoH, and Medieval TW2 maxed out with great FPS (provided your processor can keep up).

Cons: ...too awesome? It makes the 8800GTS in my laptop look pathetic.

Other Thoughts: Fits just fine in my Antec 900.

I don't see why anyone would spend tons more money on a "better" card. This beast can handle anything you throw at it.

Rating + 4 Nice but hot

Pros: This card seems to handle anything that I can throw at it. Maxing out the settings on Crysis, Fallout 3, and so on. The including over clocking utility isn't bad but I haven't found a need to use it.

Cons: This is my second 9800. The first one ran hot and would eventually crash any program, leading to a full system crash. I returned it.

The second one is just as hot but I've now got more cooling for it. Unfortunately it seems impossible to increase the fan speed of the card, which is very slow by default. Video of frying eggs on nVidia cards may be an exaggeration but this card is incredibly hot.

The other problem with this card is its large size. I bought a full tower just to use it and without a full tower the heat would kill everything. Taking the card out and putting it in is difficult.

Other Thoughts: Despite the size and the constant overheating, it is a nice card for the price. If nVidia releases drivers that allow the internal fan to constantly run at a high speed it may improve it. The ability to max out games, if only for a short time due to heat, is very nice.

Right price but the heat means you'll pay more for cooling.

Rating + 5 Great Card!

Pros: Can run any game you want. I have it in a PC with a q6600 and 4GB of RAM along with 64 bit Vista and all the games I have on it run amazing. It did not get very hot when I had the stock cooler on it with lots of loud fans blowing on it. I have switched the cooler to the Arctic Cooler VGA cooler that's available here at newegg. It ran at 48 idle and 60 load and now with the new cooler runs at 38 idle and 45 load.

Not loud at stock fan setting and is even quieter now that I have installed an aftermarket cooler. Even though I may have voided the amazing warranty from EVGA.

Cons: It is very big but it fit very smooth on my Raidmax Smilodon case. Just barely but it fits very well thanks to the placing of the power connections.

I should have gotten a 260 if I knew I planned on buying the aftermarket cooler.

Other Thoughts: I got this in the Step Up program that EVGA offers.

I had an intel Core 2 Duo e4600 before I bought a 1920x1080 monitor and my games started slowing down dramatically. I bought a q6600 and now all of my games run very smooth thanks to 2 more cores and 6 more MBs of L2 cache.

I don't have amazing RAM like most crazy PC gamers do, just 800 MHz RAM underclocked to 667MHz so that it's 1:1 ratio with the front side bus.

Pros: This card has been able to handle everything so far. I've been able to play the latest games at max settings and resolution without a problem.

Cons: This card is HUGE!!! Make sure your case is big enough, and that it's not covering anything on your motherboard that you need. On mine, it's blocking some of the USB header pins, but at least that's not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Some of the extra software caused the system to crash. Just install the drivers and ignore the extra crud.

Pros: Very fast card. looks good. Haven't really had a chance to test it out throughly because of my current location but I have played a few games and it can handle them at max! I really like it.

Cons: It says it comes with and HDMI adapter but it didnt. i talked to Newegg about it and they said it was a manufacturer issue, but they supplied me with one free because of the error.

Other Thoughts: This is my first time using Newgg and it was really good. It shipped everything i ordered to afghanistan very fast. It only took a little over a week to get here! I look for new stuff here everyday. This is now my NUMBER 1 stop for electronics!

Pros: Very fast, good price. Put this into my existing system now it runs WoW at max settings easily, my previous gfx card (7600gt) was getting 6 fps at max settings.

Cons: Not really a con, but it was huge! I had to remove the middle fan slot in my Antec 900 and move one of my hard drives from the middle to top bay. It is about a foot long, takes up two PCI slots, and needs 2 power inputs that each have 2 molex inputs (4 molex inputs total!). Just a warning if you have a small case.

Rating + 5 Huge but awesome!

Pros: This card is in that sweet spot. It doesn't cost five hundred bucks but it will run all but the most demanding games on max settings.

Cons: As lots of people mentioned, this thing is mammoth. I had to rearrange my whole computer to install this. It reaches all the way back to the hard drive bays so I had to shift my drives down a slot or two. I also had to move my tuner. Thank the FSM that my mobo had two PCI-E x1 slots because my tuner would no longer fit in the one below this card and I had to move it up to the top one. Also, at stock, I never heard the fan go very high. This could be that it wasn't getting hot (which is good) but during my Fallout and Crysis tests it never was audible. I turned it up in riva for the hell of it and it sounded like a jet. I may manually set the fan a little faster to balance cooling with noise.

Other Thoughts: I had been rocking my *old* sweet spot card from a couple of years ago. It was a 7900GS and while it was enough for most games, the newer ones required that I bump down the settings. I had recently been playing a lot of Fallout 3 and I figured that the time had come for an upgrade. I usually wait about 2 years between cards because by then, there is usually a sub-200 card that gives me enough of a boost to justify the purchase. This plays Fallout 3 at the native res of my monitor (1680x1050) at absolute max settings. The difference between my old settings and max was amazing and the game is so much more fun to play. I could even run Crysis on High (Ultra still gave me the stutters) with no problem as long as I sacrificed AA. Overall, great card and great deal.

Rating + 5 Fast....BUT HOT!!

Pros: Card is from EVGA (so u should be expecting quality) which i did....This card can pretty much handle anything you throw at it in single mode. I have ran everything perfect except crysis on ultra high settings....however i could run crysis on high on windows xp (but not vista) Card was tested on all these games and is flawless. (COD4, UT3, Fallout3, Halo 2, CS:S, etc) i supposte if i do SLI i can run crysis on high in vista....but why buy a $180 piece of hardware for one game that acts as a benchmark??

Cons: Card gets very hot, but this is pretty much with every card.
card is also very big. would recommend getting a mid tower to full size tower to fit this in your case.
Card didnt come with HDMI adapter like its supposte to but i already emailed EVGA and they should be sending me one in the mail soon.

Other Thoughts: Card comes with tuning software which is nice for overclocking..but this card is already overclocked pretty high so its not nesseary. software also lets you control fan speed of card...(dont run it on full 100% or ull burn the fan out.

Pros: So far not one bad thing to say about this card. just bought call of duty 4 on it and it looks great. can't wait to get a game that will actually push the limits. Updating drivers is easy through Nvidia's website.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: go to Nvidia's website immediately and get new drivers.

Pros: COD 4 looks perfect. I could not have asked for a more awesome card. I highly recommend this one. EVGA has great support too, if you ever need it. You won't though it is great.

Cons: Some say it's too big but I think big is awesome. It means that your graphics card is the biggest thing in your comp and thats how it should be.

Other Thoughts: Just awesome. Wow.

Rating + 5 EVGA did it again

Pros: LIFETIME Limited warranty! This is my 3rd EVGA card From 7900 to 8800 to 9800. Best bang for your $. Its not the 260 or 280 series I would be afraid to see how powerful they are compared to this!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Life Time warranty !!! My first card a 7900 GT died after 2 Years and EVGA upgraded it free of charge to a 8800 which is in the old computer still. At this rate if I had problems with the 9800 I may end up with a free 260 or 280 or better...

Customer Service is TOP NOTCH! and the community Forums surpass all.

Pros: Great card for the price. With two of these in SLI I can run any game out there with settings maxed out. I am Value Added and I approved this message.

Cons: They are large and take up two slots. Still trying to figure out if SLI takes two cards, you can only get the rebate on one?

Other Thoughts: Get a full tower case. These fill an Antec 1200

Rating + 5 Awesome! Plain and simple!

Pros: Put simply, amazing performance at a relatively low price! $200 when I got it bought me better performance than I could dream of. Basically any game out today I can run in full detail, 1680x1050 res, 4xAA or more, with 30+ fps, most of the time much more, Crysis being the only exception.

Like any graphics card, easy install, easy setup. Took no more than 10 minutes total, from opening the case to restarting the computer after installing the drivers.

Cons: BIG, hot, and loud, although all were expected. This card is HUGE. Thankfully I've got a full tower case to accomodate, but a few friends who have mid towers, this card just barely makes it in with an inch or two to spare. It shouldn't be called a graphics card, it should be called a graphics BOX.

And as expected, with such intense performance, it does run a bit hot, usually hitting upper 60's C on most newer games. Make sure you've got adequate cooling.

The card does a decent job of cooling itself, but you sacrifice quietness with the fan whirring away.

Other Thoughts: Despite cons listed, card met and exceeded expectations. I figure by the time I need something else, the price of these will be low enough where I can just buy another easily and SLI, and I would in a second. In my opinion, as it is now, this card is probably one of the best buys for your money.
Quick installation note: big cards use big power. Make sure you've got a power supply that can handle the card. The card has 2 6-pin power inputs on it, does your power supply?

All around good card but only if you have the room, and the juice.

Cons: One of my molex to 6 pin power adapters was broken but luckily i had a spare.

Pros: Great GPU, pulls 30-40 FPS on Farcry 2 maxed out with 2x AA.

Cons: Long... loooooonnnnng
If you have a HDD chasis directly behind your PCI-E slot, then you'd better find another place to place them, because it's... long.

Runs a little hot too, on farcry 2 it'd get upwards of 63C, and will definatly heat your room up.

Other Thoughts: It's just an all around great GPU; The only thing it's missing is the Physx (sp) that the 200 series has. but, if you have a good enough processor, then it's not really that big of a problem.

Pros: So far - Wow. I'm playing COD World at War - Beta - and the graphics are beautiful and smooth. Someone in the game was complaining about artifacts - and it was nice to not have the same problem (they probably bought ATI). Although my pc is SLI capable. I just have 1 video card (that's all I apparently need).

Cons: None.

Pros: Flat out amazing card. Everything I threw at it automatically ran the video setting to the highest by default. Very smooth, even with my double monitors. I'm looking forward to upgrading to the 3-way SLI, just to be a showoff!

Cons: The card is huge, extending past the front of the motherboard. I would recommend a full tower, especially if you were gonna run more than one of these. Plus, the power demands are high, requiring 2 6pin power connectors per card. So that's 6 connectors if you wanna run 3-way. Nvidia's website has a full list of power supplies in their SLI section, I would highly recommend it.

Rating + 5 Worth every Penny

Pros: I have owned this card now for several months and it has never let me down. I am using Vista Ultimate 32bit and have never had a driver issue. I can play Crysis at around 35 frames with everything on high and 1280x1024. Farcry 2 around the same everything on high 1280x1024 around 40 frames. Great for overclocking the EVGA Prescion utility is a dream.

Cons: The size really isn't much of an issue but this card runs hot (depending on your opinion). With 1 volcano fan (sound like a vacuum cleaner) It stays at 39c sometimes it will fall to 37c just browsing the web etc. In games like crysis and farcry though it gets to about 53c.

Other Thoughts: Will defiantly be getting another one maybe two.

Rating + 5 Step-Up from 8800GT

Pros: Just got this card from a Step-Up from an 8800GT. To start off, this card is a lot better all around than my 8800GT. I haven't had any artifacting or freezes, and don't plan on seeing any. The card is gorgeous, almost didn't want to put it in XD And idiling, it's at 48c. Pretty nice. Runs Crysis at all Very High with 1680x1050 at about 30ish fps. I'll take that anyday. FarCry 2 all highest with maybe 2xAA, or off. Love this card!

Cons: This card is pretty big. I hate reading that on other people's reviews, but wow, when I got it in my case, I had to move my hard drive and all the wires around it. Nothing else bad though.

Pros: runs super cool for me, even overclocked i rarely see temps get above 53c.

Cons: i thought advancements in technology spawn smaller hardware, this thing is flying in the face of technological evolution!!! but who cares, its an awesome product

Other Thoughts: im coming from a 4-5 year old agp setup with an (ironically named) 9800xt ati card. we've come so far since then that we've now looped graphics card naming back around to where we were a few years ago...kind of funny i thought. that said my system was kind of archaic, so it stands to reason that i would instantly love this new card, its pure awesomeness.

Pros: I can run crysis on high with just one of these with the clocks on default for this baby. i can try over clocking it alil later on but for now i just have to amire it. this also runs tf2 how max resolution with no noticeable frame skipping i have yet to try it with other games because of college work but as soon as thats done ill try and give it a real test run.

Cons: its huge...which is whats going on with most high end video cards. i had to move my hard drive to get this monster in which was annoying. other than size it has no flaws that i can see of yet.

Rating + 5 Excellent Card

Pros: Amazing graphics. Runs anything I can throw at it on high (Fallout 3, Warhammer (no stuttering ... even when other friends with similar computers get it), etc.) Very good price.

I did upgrade from an ATI X1300 series card, so this is like going from a Prius to a Lincoln Town Car.

Cons: A little big. I don't consider this exactly a con, especially not worth rating it lower, but something to consider if you have a smaller case (even mid size ATX). I had to switch to a full, almost server ATX case because it ran into my hard drives.

Other Thoughts: Excellent card, especially for the price, but check your case size before buying.

Pros: Seems to run anything I can throw at it very, very smoothly (granted I haven't tried Crysis yet). Upgraded from a 7900GT, which is no comparison. Excellent price combined with rebate makes this a very affordable card for the budget conscious.

Cons: As others have said, the card is big which required me to move my HDD's around to make it fit, but not a big deal. So beware you have the room to install it, it hangs about 1" over my mobo.

Rating + 5 Great Card!

Pros: Very stable card. Runs a lot cooler than i thought it was going to. Plays Crysis warhead no problem and Farcry 2 im going to test it on Fallout 3 soon. I was afraid that i wasn't going to have enough power for it but it turns out i have plenty (Antec 550watt).

Cons: The stick wont stay stuck to the card so i keep having to push it back down. And the PCI bracket didn't exactly line up with my case i don't know if that's the cards fault or not because i made my case my self but just a thought.

Other Thoughts: Im running this card in a very small case and i had to relocate my hard drive cage to accommodate the card. hangs about an inch over my motherboard (ATX) so this is a very large card. I am upgrading from a 7600 GT so you can imagine the difference.
System- AMD 64 X2 4800+, MSI-7093 MoBo, EVGA 9800GTX+, Antec 550 watt, Raptor 10,00 rpm drive.

Pros: Runs at like 45 degrees idle, unlike my old EVGA 8800 GTS 512 G92 ran at like 55 degrees idle, both cards were on Auto.
Fan is quiet,like the 8800 GTS 512.

Cons: It's long, you are going to have to take out the part on the Antec 900,the plastic black thing right behind the hdd bays (it's meant for an extra fan,and some GPU cooling if the card is below 10 inches) you also have to move your hdd to the very bottom

Other Thoughts: Get it,it's worth it to buy it right now.

Rating + 4 Great card, poor accessories

Pros: Goes without saying that the 9800 GTX+ is a hell of a card that outpreforms all others.

Cons: Purchased two of these to play in SLI, but my power supply (OCZ 700W) only had two PCI-E connections. I suppose I should have checked that, but I knew that this came with PCI-E to 4 pin converters. The PCI-E -> 4 pin converters do not fit into the PCI-E slots on the second card. The moldings for the inserts are wrong.

Other Thoughts: I guess I will have to try to buy other converters, though I've heard even those do not fit. Why would EVGA package this card with converters that don't even fit the card?! I'll have to shave the corners off the boxed inserts somehow.

Rating + 4 Works pretty good!

Pros: Smooth, clear graphics. Very stable. These GTX+ units run at lower temperatures and lower power consumption rates than the regular GTX2s. Quiet fans. Very nice graphics. CoD4 runs at no less than 165 FPS, Crysis at around 50-60.

Cons: SIZE. This is a problem. If you don't have a big case, the length will be a problem. They also cover up the other PCI slots, so if you have a sound card and/or additional cards, this may be a problem (I'm running EVGA's 780i F T W, if I went Tri-SLi, I wouldn't have access to ANY of the other slots!) . BAD! They also run a little on the warm side (40-50C) at idle, but I think that may be because the motherboard voltages aren't set right yet.

Other Thoughts: These require 2 6-pin connectors per card and specific minimum amp ratings on the 12V rail of your power supply. Make sure you have the available connectors and adequate power.

Rating + 4 Unlucky Me

Pros: Hands down the best card I've ever used, despite the fact that I was weary about getting it in the first place based on mixed reviews. I've heard it is the counterpart to ATI's 4850 series, however it smokes it. Runs at nice temperatures and you have some authority with this thing in your case. I almost got the GTX and not the GTX+, but the price difference is so little and the slight performance boost is worth is in my opinion. Go with this card, worth every penny and you will love how it handles everything with ease while looking amazing.

Cons: There's only four things I found wrong with it: 1) It is HUGE. Make sure you have the space because it easily spans the motherboard's length, and then some. 2) It is non-refundable. 3) This thing tears through the power. It says 450W or greater, but you better be feeding it something much greater, especially if you have other high performance parts. 4) Not so much a problem with the card, or maybe it is, but after several days of moderate use, my computer wouldn't even POST on restart. Sadly, I'm stuck dealing with EVGA/Nvidia to get it refunded or replaced.

Other Thoughts: 700W apparently isn't powerful enough for my moderate gaming rig, which quite frankly should be able to handle the card. Or maybe the card is deffective. Either way, I remember someone saying months ago about another powerful Nvidia card, "This is the kind of video card you build a system around, not throw it in an existing one." I guess I learned my lesson.

Cons: Runs a little hot in-game, but that's understandable with any high-end game today. It was a very tight fit even in my full-tower. I was afraid to scratch the motherboard! Definitely held my breath putting it in. Had to really force it in.

Other Thoughts: I will always buy from EVGA. Great products and excellent customer service!

Pros: This thing is big, in an awesome sort of way. Granted I jumped from a 7800 to this, but wow do my games look so much better. Frame rates are great. Bought a second for SLI.

Cons: Stock settings. Mainly the fan speed. If you do not adjust these right away the card will really run hot. Used the precision software to bump it up to 70% and now runs much cooler.

Other Thoughts: Can't complain about getting Crysis Spec. Edition with it (could sell my other copy to help pay for this one) a $30 rebate and another free game of Warmonger. That is definitely getting your monies worth. Newegg rocks.

Pros: Great card. This thing makes me droooool. I didn't overclock it, but the utility that came with the card is apparently very good for that sort of thing. Runs Crysis at High/Very High settings in the 35fps range. More than enough for me.

Cons: The thing is a little bit large. Not really a con, because it fits in my case no problem. But it sort of (not much) obstructs air flow because of its girth.

Rating + 4 Fast, reliable, easy setup

Pros: Easy setup, HUGE! performance improvement with games and display quality. Haven't played Crysis with this yet, but getting 62+ FPS on UT3 and 15500+ marks on 3DMark06. Using the EVGA Precision overclock software instead of Ntune. The precision software is extremely easy to use and has allowed this thing to overclock to 792 core and 2400 memory without a single hiccup.

Cons: The graphic overlay on top was coming unglued. Ran my finger cross it a couple times and seems to be sticking. Also, the card does not match the expansion slot perfectly (probably more a case fault then the card).

Other Thoughts: This card is huge. Of course this is upgraded from a Geforce 6600GT that is less than half the size. Fit perfectly in a Xclio Twin turbo case. Downloaded latest driver from Nvidia. According to EVGA's website, this card comes packaged with 1 DVI-VGA adapter, which is how mine was packaged. Used 2 dedicated PCI-e power cords instead of 1 duplex.

System specs:

Pros: Runs COD4 at full eye candy, typically holds a stable 90fps, under full load at 55-56C (see other thoughts). Performs somewhat noticeably better than my 8800GT did, and does it at lower temperatures. Dual slot cooling is effective and quiet. Holds on to Crysis at high settings with quite playable fps's. I thought it cool that they include art on the side of the cooling assembly; you can see 9800GTX+ through your window if you have one...a nice change from just having the art facing down where you never see it again after install.

Cons: Gigantic; an inch and a half longer than the 8800GT. The only reason it fits in my case at all is because the size, the way the hard drives are turned, and the power being on the side of the GPU. Takes two pci-e power plugs, if you consider that a con. Just make sure you have enough room for the thing, and you'll be very happy to have it taking up that space.

Other Thoughts: Recommend setting the fan manually to 80%. You can hear it at that volume, but it's not even remotely unbearable (it's almost indistinguishable from the two 120mm's in my case). Temps are fine with auto fan, but you really notice the difference if you keep it reasonably high all the time. Idles ~45

Other Thoughts: the hdmi adapter and spdif cable can be obtained from evga.

Rating + 5 Awesome Card!

Pros: This card is a brute! Plays any game I've got at the highest settings; WoW, F.E.A.R., soon Crysis. Good overclocking/fan speed control software.

Cons: Huge! Just like everyone else says. Also, the factory speed on the fan is a bit slow, I turned it up to keep the card chilled:P.

Other Thoughts: Worth every penny! You can't be disappointed by this card!

Pros: Sexy, HUGE, Decent price, great reviews, did I mention sexy?

Cons: Blew up my Ultra X2 ULT31851 550-Watt Power Supply -ATX. Odviously I would advise getting something a little bigger then recommended.

Other Thoughts: Took out 2 8600GTS cards for this. Had to move SATA 1 Harddrive cord on motherboard to SATA 4 because this card was so big. Computer started, updated video drivers. Asked to restart, computer never booted back up. Took out card, put in old cards, still did not boot. Put in old 500Watt PSU, works well with old cards. Waiting on new 1000W PSU to try it again.

Pros: This thing can run anything. Ran Crysis on high with aax4. Everything is beautiful and you get a program with the drive that is just made for overclocking. Would buy again if I ever make another gaming rig soon.

Cons: This sucker is HUGE. It barely fit and I had to rearrange everything about 3 times until i found a good way to fit everything inside. not the quietest fan when set to 100, although it does run just fine on it auto-fan setting

Other Thoughts: Looks great and works like a charm. Would def recommend for someone who want a powerful rig.

Pros: This card is amazing. I upgraded from a x1650, so its a pretty large jump. Run wow on highest quality at 60 fps, and runs Crysis at 50 fps. Have no complaints

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure to get a case that this card will fit in. Antec 900 case works well.

Pros: excellent card, not too loud. made me replace my mobo with an evga 780i. started up just fine. using it for stalker clear skies at total max, so far so good, get 20-40fps.

Cons: a bit too long, have to replace my ASUS p5qc, as it was covering two sata ports.

Other Thoughts: coolermaster 690, stock power, e8400 3.0ghz, vista ultimate x64, evga 9800gtx+ 512mb, 4gb ocz, evga 780i, no OC.

Pros: Outperforms the H!) 4850.

Decent OC* (see cons)

It stays very cool. Many complain about dual-slot coolers, but my old 8 series single-slots were so loud I wanted to smash them all to pieces. Fan is extremely quiet up to 66%. The only time you'll ever hear it at 100% is in very intense 3d games, and even then you'll be listening to the sound of way-cool explosions so don't sweat it.

Cons: Okay OC. The clock already comes high for this core, so I'm not complaining. The core will barely budge but you can OC the memory ~225. Not too shabby.

Other Thoughts: I got this through EVGA step up. If I were starting from scratch and had to shell out this much for a card, I'd get the best value and buy the "H!) 487O," understand?

Rating + 4 Great Preformance

Pros: Got a free crysis when I ordered, runs it on all high settings easily. Looks great on my 22' monitor.

Cons: Didnt come with a DVI cord, only dvi to vga adaptor. VERY large, check motherboard before trying SLI. Only one of my pcie slots are usable now because this card covers both practically on my Asus P5N-D motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Bought thursday, got it friday gotta love newegg. Only problem is when I ordered from newegg they said I could get a $30 mail in rebate from sep 1-30. I went to worldwiderebates.com to get the rebate after the card arrived and that site said I could only get the rebate from sep 1-9. ALWAYS check rebates before ordering.
Manufacturer Response:Hi,

Thanks for the review, the DVI cable's usually are included with the monitor that you have purchased.

Thanks,
Jacob

Rating + 5 Great Card

Pros: Runs all my games at good fps 40-90 at 1280x1024. Crysis warhead runs at 40fps. Fan is a little loud, but not as loud as my case fans. You'll have to manually set the fan speed to max, or 75% etc to get it to stay at sub 60 deg temps while underload. I currenlty get 45 deg when playing cod4 with fan at 100% and oc'd to 785 core. spanks my mates alienware dual gpu laptop. Games it plays well: Cod4, Crysis Warhead, Supreme Commander, CnC3 franchise, Eve-Online

Cons: Freaking huge, just barely fits in my Ultra Aluminus case. Mid-Tower owners beware and check dimensions before purchasing. would be cool if it had a graphic on backside like the new gtx 2 series cards, kinda a waste since most ppl mount cards in towers and not flatbed setups.

Other Thoughts: evga 750i F.T.W. mobo @ 1600 fsb; Q9550 @ 3.4 ghz; Corsair Dominator 4gb 1066 ram; Thermaltake v1 cpu hs; Ultra X3 800W psu; Ultra Aluminus Full ATX Case

Pros: This card can run all high settings on high for Crysis 1680x1050, it can even handle very high setting if you have a good enough cpu. It runs cool for me. Very happy with this purchase, and i got Crysis free with it.

Cons: Its very very big.

Rating + 5 Great card.

Pros: This is one of the best graphics cards Ive ever seen/had. Coming from a old Ati Radeon x850 pro is like going from a skateboard to a jet. Great cooling, came with great tools for overclocking it not that you would EVER need to do that. If you have the money to buy this card, BUY THIS CARD. Handles portal at 280+ fps. (usually 299) and stalker clear sky at around 60+ fps. I have had problems with it not working in my 0 pci-e slot and only working in the 1 pci-e slot, but I think thats my mobo. You can always count on EVGA to deliver excellent products.

Cons: none, except its really big.

Other Thoughts: If you had three of these in sli mode, it would rip a hole in the time space contineum out of shear fastness.

RIG: Intel quad 2.4 gig processor, evga for the win (newegg won't let me say the abbreviation for some reason) sli 750i, 4 gigs 1066 g skill ram, geforce 9800 GTX+ card, 400gig 7200 seagate hard drive, and a 630 watt Raidmax psu.

Pros: Have been playing Stalker Clear Sky at 120x1024 resolution with settings high without a single crash. Running Crysis Warhead at 1280x1024 ,with gamer settings, and 2x aa. So far so good. It replaced an ATI X1950 Pro that kept crashing trying to run these two games (the gpu would reach over 107 degrees).

Cons: This card is too long! It blocks the SATA connectors on an MSI K9N2 Platinum motherboard. If Nvidia would have kept it at the size of an 8800 GTS than this wouldn't be a problem.

Other Thoughts: Blockage of the SATA ports hasn't affected me since I still use IDE drives. It's however still no excuse for a video card to be causing this.

Pros: Awesome. Handles most games at highest settings (Crysis is the exception but no surprise there, can do high settings but not "very high"). Takes up 2 pci slots so it can blow out hot air and keep itself cool (kind of a con I guess, but good for not melting your video card).

Cons: Drivers need to be updated, wouldn't let me do my native resolution (1680x1050) until I updated them. No other cons, this thing is sweet. Huge! Just barely fit in my case (see specs below).

Other Thoughts: System Specs: Rosewill R5604-BK Case, EVGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i SLI F.T.W. motherboard, Rosewill RP600VS-S-SL 600W Power Supply, WD Caviar 640GB HD, EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ Video Card, Vista Ultimate 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 GHZ, Wintec AMPX 4GB DDR3 1333 Ram, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro,

Pros: This card has done nothing but exceed my needs. I am a mac user and have built a super pc for gaming, I use xp pro, so My review will be no help relative to vista.
It's an even better value since it has come down in price so much.

Cons: It's HUGE

Other Thoughts: I had intended to buy dual 88's but alas micro center was out of stock. What was I supposed to do, wait? This ended up being a great alternitive.

Pros: Smooth gameplay and a massive upgrade over my old 7800gt. Could not be happier.

Cons: Longest card Ive ever purchased bar none. It easily fit into my case...but wow. Not entirely a con, just surprising. I would think with higher technology the size of things would go down a bit, not increase.

Other Thoughts: I say this is perfect for any game that focuses on fps performance. My frame rates jumped instantly and it was actually a little better than I expected. Powerful card...I just hope it holds up untill the 11K series comes out (smaller more efficient design for the cards maybe??)xD

Rating + 5 great card

Pros: Awesome card at an awesome price (as of oct 7 08.) I tried one of these in the 9800 gtx flavor in april and was amazed with the improvement over my 8800 320mb gts. My board supports pcie x2 on the bus which the 8800 wasn't utilizing but the 9800 is, and I can really see the difference. I returned it cuz it was so expensive then, and snagged it when I saw how fast the 9-series is being phased out. It's on the large side but they all are now, and you need two power plugs in there, not just one, so be mindful. I'm running warhammer and wow at full graphics w/o a hitch. I recomend every component I'm using...it's a great build and this card is an outstanding addition.

asus p5e
intel 6850
mushkin ddr2 800
2x WD raptor 10k in raid0
9800 gtx+
thermaltake 1kw psu

Cons: none...just be aware of the size and power.

Other Thoughts: I tried SLI'ing two 8800 320mb gts cards and was not impressed with the performance increase over just a single 8800, not to mention I couldn't use my duel-monitor setup in SLI. Now that the 9-series cards are built to utilize the pci x2 buses, I'm convinced that SLI won't be worth it for at least another year.

Rating + 4 Good, not Amazing

Pros: Fast, runs what I've thrown at it well @ 1680x1050 (TF2, Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Spore). It runs pretty cool and is very quiet. Crysis plays on High with a couple Very High, and the beginning of Warhead runs at Enthusiast, but Gamer once the Aliens and ice show up. Came with Crysis, which was a nice bonus.

Cons: Barely faster than a 9800GTX, and the 4850 beats or matches it in most games. I ended up going with it over a 4850 since I've had better luck in Linux with Nvidia. You could probably save some money and pick up an overclocked version of the non-plus and get close to the same performance, off by a few fps, but the same settings in games.

Other Thoughts: Now that GTX260s are coming down in price with the 216 release, for another 30 - 40 bucks its worth a look at those if your PS can take another 100 watts or so. There's still plenty of horsepower here though and I'm ready for Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2, can't wait.

Pros: Huge step up from my 7800gs, plays Crysis on high settings at decent resolution without a hitch (e8400), plays COD4 and TF2 MAXED at the highest resolutions, looks cool with my evga mb.

Cons: A little big, but still fit in my CoolerMaster 690 with no problems at all.

Other Thoughts: Can't wait to get another and SLI them!

Pros: Great card! I bought a 2nd one too. Yea, it's huge, longer then the motherboard, but fit fine in a HEC 6XR8 mid-tower case (drives are mounted sideways in that case, which helps a lot). It's relatively quiet and stays cool. Overclocks nicely! I can run my 3 monitors with SLI disabled, then switch to SLI on the center screen for gaming. Also have run some games (Oblivion, Crysis, CoD4) across 3 screens using SoftTH (a free 3rd party utility). Works great!

Cons: If it fits in the case, I don't see any cons. With 2 in a system, it's pretty likely that something on the motherboard will be inaccessible w/out pulling one of the cards out. Not a huge deal for me. Seems like all the latest video cards are that large anyway.

Other Thoughts: Works great with: MB: EVGA nForce 790i SLI F-T-W; CPU: Core 2 Duo 3.3GHz E8600; RAM: 2x1GB OCZ Platinum DDR3; Vid: 2x EVGA 9800 GTX+; Case: HEC 6XR8 Mid ATX; PS: ZALMAN ZM850-HP 850W; HD: 2x Seagate 7200.11 500GB RAID1; Sound: Creative X-Fi Titanium PCI-Express.

Rating + 5 Great value on 55nm

Pros: Performance on this card is great, and drivers have been stable on XP Pro 32bit DX9. Comparing this to a defective 9800GTX (G92 non-"+" version) that I returned, this "+" card runs cooler and I have had no issues so far. (Defective BFG card would blank out on Windows log on screen and freeze unpredictably in some games.) Running 1600x1200 at high settings comfortably so far on Crysis; AA turned off (just haven't tried it enabling yet in this game). Flight Sim X looks great, AA enabled. Sticker graphics are not too lame.

Cons: Don't like the stickers; I had to reattach the main one since it was not centered and had a ripple, and decided to remove the top sticker entirely. Had to request the HDMI adapter and SPDIF cable; apparently the product contents have changed. eVGA delivered quickly at no charge. Return policy through newegg on this card sounds sketchy: Limited non-refundable - made me think twice before ordering.

Other Thoughts: Would have liked some instructions that say whether it is a good idea and safe to bridge the two 12V supply rails with the 6pin PCIe power adapter all these cards come with. 10.5" length, check for clearance! Double slot cooling is nice, though who doesn't wish the technology didn't allow everything to fit in a little 6" single slot card :)

Rating + 4 Great card

Pros: Well let me tell you, this card is fast. I have two of these things in SLI, runs everything I've ever put it up against at full settings, 1680x1050, including Crysis. This thing is much better than the 8800.

Cons: Well, not mentioning that one of my cards was DOA (which was quickly RMA'd and replaced by Newegg)...This card gets alot hotter than I had thought it would. I am using an antec 900 with all the fans on high and they were still exceeding upwards of 65c under Crysis load.
Before you say no thanks to these cards though... I did figure out that the presets on the fanspeed per temp is terrible. you would think they would set it to turn up the fanspeed to around 80%-90% at 50c-60c huh? but no... Not until the temps reach around 90c is it set to crank up the speed to 90%.... All inbetween there its only pushing about 40% fanspeed.
BUT, with the EVGA Precision tool (included), I manually set the speed to 75%, which surprising to me, is very quiet. Now my temps are very good, 38c-40c at idle, and 48c-52c under full load, including Crysis.

but seriously, come on EVGA, come up with better presets next time huh?

Other Thoughts: Again, very good cards, and it's very easy to fix the fanspeed problem. I highly suggest buying these cards.
