8800GT died, so I bought it's twin brother
Pros: My 2 yo DELL had an 8800GT in it. It died (heat), so I bought this card as a replacement. It, essentially, is the same card in new packaging. It runs 46C idle, 56C after an hour of gaming, and 84C if I run Furmark test for 2 mins. Battlefield 2142 looks pretty with all on high, 1680x1050, at an average of 80fps.
Same performance as my previous 8800GT. 3DMark was within a fraction of a percent better (so, the same). This card ramps its clocks down when in 2d mode (nvidia power saving).
Cons: I didnt feel like swapping out my PSU to get a better more-powerful vid card, but for $100 this card works.
Other Thoughts: Dell Vostro 400, Lite-on 350W PSU, 2GB RAM, Core 2 Quad Q6600.

Running as a Physics Card
Pros: Well as all of the GTX series cards are never in stock anywhere I wanted to get my build done ASAP while waiting for my GTX 275 1792mb to come. I ordered this card as it was cheap and i figured it would work great as a Physics card as i add more 275s over the next few months.
I ran it as my primary graphics card for the first 2 days and it performed excellent and i cranked the fan speed right up to 90% because I like cooling and dont care about noise thats what the 2500Watt surround sound is for. Ran my 24" monitor flawlessly at 1920x1080 so for a budget card definitely worth the buy.
Currently overclocked it to the same specs as the more expensive factory overclocked one. No need to spend the money when with the click and slide of a mouse in precision you can do the same thing you are paying extra money for
Cons: No cons

cool as a fan
Pros: This card runs cool. Not overly hot like my gtx 260. Can't tell the difference in gaming with this card compared to gtx 260. Runs any game I throw at it. At this price this card is DIRT CHEAP for what it does.
Cons: None worth mentioning but if I wanted to be a worm I would say that it doesn't look as good as gtx 260. Considering its performance that doesn't matter at all to me. Just mentioning it to let you know I'm taking this review seriously.
Other Thoughts: Best dollar for dollar powerful card I have bought to date. Trust me this one will take care of you and for the price its great in value. Still have my gtx 260 in a box on top of shelf after having to send it back to evga for overheating damage. I never had to replace the 9800 w/ the gtx260 so gtx260 is collecting dust and it cost over 200 $

EVGA 9800GT 512Mb
Pros: This card functioned extremely well for me. I used it in conjunction with an E7400 2.8 GHz dual core, and I was able to play anything really. Sure Crysis was only 24 FPS average on full settingsbut whatever, it's crysis. I overclocked this card to the max before it crashed and all games ran great. L4D2 on full settings got 55 average. It's a single slot card, and occupies a relatively small space. Fits on an mATX board fine. Powerful for sure (I've gone on too much about this already).
Cons: The fan is loud at full speed (it is usually necessary to keep fan at 100%, otherwise it overheats easily). If overclocked, when the graphics drivers crash, the card will underclock itself. You have to restart the computer to return the settings to normal. The card tends to overheat at around 70*C (if overclocked).
Other Thoughts: Functioned well, was generally reliable, didn't need to much power, strong. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a very good gaming card for a good price.

Single Profile GFX card
Pros: Single Profile graphics card, with a little bit of oomph. Dual Dual-Link DVI.
Cons: None for me
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these, but have an AMD Chipset. So, have to hack to get SLI.

Decent Card
Pros: Takes up only 1 PCI slot on the mobo. This is a plus for me. Handles everything I throw at it on highest settings. Was a great deal when I bought it. EVGA seems to just have great products.
Cons: It has actually gone up in price from when I bought it. Think I paid around $90 something for it. Was considering getting another, but decided not to. This card and newer nvidia cards seem to have problems running some of my really old games. No biggy really, I can use my older computer, but I'm tempted to switch it with an ATI card, that way I don't have to switch between computers.
Other Thoughts: This card will work fine on most games. For me I don't play the newest of games, and the highest graphical games I own are Oblivion and Assassins Creed. If you must have the newest and best, then you'll probably want something else, but for me it works fine.
Good luck trying to run older games on it without strange graphical issues.

Video Card Hot?
Pros: Great Card, Fast, Quiet, ok price, and GREAT delivery time from newegg..
Cons: -9" long but only takes up 1 slot. -Hot? Idle: 50-60C, Full load test: 85C
Other Thoughts: -Newegg, should I be concerned with my GPU temps at full load? -minus 1egg for GPU being hot at full load. -Also, I realized that the EVGA Geforce 9800gt cuts its power capabilities in half on idle. I knoticed this while I was looking at the EVGA Precision tool. For example, Core clock is set to 600; but, it only does 300 at idle and etc. -I posted a week ago saying that I was getting 70C under load. Sorry for the mistake to whom ever read my comment, I'm getting 85C on full load.

Great
Pros: Used this card in my first build. Other than a little flickering 10 minutes after installing windows there has been nothing wrong. Runs cool in my system and after running for a bout a day all the flickering stopped, runs all my games great.
Cons: Not really a con but this card is HUGE almost as long as my mobo, just make sure you have a case to fit it.

Day One, Happy with upgrade results
Pros: -Slim (takes up only 1 slot) -9" Long -Idles around 55*C, While playing a game it goes up to 70*C for me.. I don't know if this is hot or not. Correct me if im wrong, I heard most video cards of today are hot so, I guess those readings are normal; unless of course, you have after market cooling or something.. -Fast Newegg delivery for the win!(said 3 days, got it in 2!) -Quiet Fan, was surprised.
Cons: -Fan speed goes up and gets noticeable when playing games, understandable since games stress the video card and cause it to heat up. -Pretty long for my mid-sized case. But, I managed to make it fit, I just had to move and ziptie some wires from my Antec Trio 650watt PSU(if only I could just take out the wires I don't need from the PSU, haha).
Other Thoughts: -Box says, "400Watt or greater PSU w/ min. of 18amps on +12v rail." -This is day one, and I'm liking the card. -Don't forget to register for the EVGA 2-year warranty before 30-days pass. I heard registering in EVGA voids the newegg warranty, I'm not sure though. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks! -I can play games on max settings. For example, L4D no aa but maxed settings(60 FPS and nothing less), WoW(around 20 fps on dal and 55-75 fps overall), etc. I run games on 1280x800 resolution -Comp Specs AMD Athlon2 x4 CPU 2.6ghz 6gb ddr2 ram Win7 EVGA 9800gt 512mb

Slim and Fast
Pros: Slim and Fast.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: My Dell Dimension 5500 has an awkward shaped heatsink on the motherboard, so i was a little worried that would obstruct the video card. I was happy to discover that this video card fit perfectly into the case.

Probably nice if it worked
Pros: Looks nice, quiet
Cons: The card gave jerky video from day one. EVGA support limited to PST business hours and one email a day where you give them details and they have you jump through standard hoops (empty and reload drivers) without any real diagnosis until a few days later when you earn an RMA to get a refurbed card to replace your new one
Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a failed XFX 8600GTS. While I waited for EVGA responses I tried the baking trick on the 8600 and now it's back in the box and working again while I wait for a replacement What fun...
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the review. I apologize about the issues you are having with your EVGA product. We stand behind our product and we would like to assist you with troubleshooting and replacement if necessary. Our tech support is available 24/7 at 888-881-3842, we are not limited to PST business hours. Thank you, Kyle Sabine

Awsome Card
Pros: This card is a steal for the price your getting it well least it was when i got it. The main reason i got it was because i wanted to play games at high graphics. Now this card is fairly long and big.
Cons: It runs hot if you dont have a good cooling system in your computer then it will really heat up. And like I said earlier this card is long and you want to make sure you have the space for it.
Other Thoughts: I would upgrade to the 1GB version of this card.

Excellent card
Pros: EVGA overclock utility is super easy to use. Card is quiet, doesn't get too hot. Ran Dragon Age Origins full settings no problem. A great reliable card. It's not the beefiest card in the world, but really there's pretty much nothing out right now that this card can't handle from what I've seen.
Cons: A little on the long side. I had to move some stuff around to get it to fit, but honestly, it's not really a con. If you're able to open up your case to install a graphics card, you should be smart enough to move a few wires around.

Awesome
Pros: I have yet to find a game or app that this card can't run on completely full settings. STALKER, Command and Conquer 3, Fallout 3, etc. Six straight months of fast, solid performance.
Cons: It still refuses to cook for me.
Other Thoughts: Not that I can see it inside my case, but it looks cool

Great for newer games
Pros: Very quiet. Fast. Thin form factor. Plays Wolfenstein with high settings very smoothly. Modern Warfare also runs great. Therefore, anything older will also run great.
Cons: None so far.

Eye candy factory
Pros: Really good performance for the money. Works beautifully with Mandriva 2010.0 and KDE, allowing all the bells-n-whistles of the KWIN compositor and desktop effects.
Cons: Doesn't seem to work as well with VDPAU as my old 9400. That could just be perception, though.

Awsome!!!!
Pros: Wow it's great. I don't play crysis but this card pretty much smokes any game I play. NFS Undercover: 36 FPS/ COD4 modern warfare: 73 FPS/ NFS Pro Street: 65 FPS/ Star wars battlefront II: 80 FPS. All these games are maxed out.
Cons: A little bit big but I was still able to fit it into my micro ATX motherboard.
Other Thoughts: It idles at about 41C 2gb corsair dominator DHX evga 9800gt amd Athlon X2 2.8 GHZ Samsung dual layer lightscribe burner 520 watt power supply

Hmm
Pros: I put this card in and maxxed everything out in my wow vid settings. It does look nice and I could definetly notice alot more detail and see farther then I had before. so that is great.
Cons: Not sure if its my power supply or what but at times during raids graphics almost come to a stand still and frame rates drop into the red and also in the the world in general doesnt push more then 35 to 50 fps. Was hoping to see 60 or so steady. Dont even get me started with Dal lol. I have all the newest drivers and maxxing out the fan settings to help heat etc. Just not as blown away as I would like to be.
Other Thoughts: I may try some more new hardware soon when the money becomes available.

Solid Cards
Pros: NVIDIA reputation and product support. NVIDIA web site is a gold mine of resources for this product.
Cons: None found yet.
Other Thoughts: I dropped two of these into a P45 mobo primarily as CUDA resources. They work well together and do their jobs without complaint. As with all expansion cards, you should immediately upgrade to the most recent firmware.

Pros: Running in SLI with another 9800GT that EVGA gave me to replace a dead 8800GT. I run Crysis in full mode and its fantastic. Works great with my new I-7 Evga X58 SLI MB overclocked to 3.6 GB's. I'm still looking forward to the I-9 processor coming in 2010.
Cons: None so far.

Good Performance!
Pros: This card (single - not SLI) gets a 5.9 in Vista (Home Premium 64 -bit) Performance testing. Way better than I thought it would! Runs Halo 2 no problemo.
Love the price, but did take seriously some reviews, below, regarding failure within a year or so. Descriptions seemed like heat related failures. In the pre-bios boot, the card revs up to a distinct whine, as many do, but quickly settles into silent running.
If you install CPUID HWMonitor you can see the temps on the stock fan setting. In this environment it would be at around 47c, at idle. Gets into the high 50's with a significant load, and fan on the stock fan settings. My hunch is that the stock setting on this fan may be too low for some usages. Nvidia's System Tools download will allow you to manually set the fan speed. On this one, around 50% seems to cool a lot better and is not terribly noisy.
Cons: Seems to come with the preset fan speed too low for a broad spectrum of usages. This is a significant minus, but due to the really good performance at a low price point, I will give the product 5 stars.
Other Thoughts: Monitoring the temps on this card may save you some grief later.

Very good capablity, fan didnt last long/have to pay for rma shipping
Pros: One of the better video cards I have ever used, I have a heavily ventilated case, but it runs at 41c idle (35% fan speed) 53c under full load (100% fan speed using folding@home). I have yet to find much that this card cant handle. Comes with a excellent program for overclocking or well for what I use it for to control fan speed. I put it (the fan speed) up to 100% whenever I am playing games. I did not bother with the drivers I had downloaded them from the website.
Cons: I did not use folding@home that often, it was about the only thing that put it through its paces. The video cards fan started to die 4 months after I bought it, I had contacted evga and because I did not register it within 30 days after buying it, the warranty was only one year instead of 2 as newegg advertises. I can still RMA it, downside in my opinion is having to pay for the shipping back. But good thing is I will not have to wait long to have it replaced. Roughly 5 days for me to ship it to them, supposedly going to take 1-3 days for them to process then another 3-5 days for it to be sent back. Not that bad, considering, too bad I will be out of a good video card for 1-2 weeks.
Other Thoughts: I took it apart trying to see what the cause of the fan grinding sound is, and I could not find it, but the design looks like a good one (although I have some limited experience with more expensive video cards).
Still a great video card, and I so far am quite pleased with evga still no matter this fan problem. Now if it happens again then I will have to rethink evga in my book.

Pros: Was cheap when I got it a year ago, less than it is now. Worked great for about 8 months
Cons: Like every other EVGA video card I've had, this would be at least my 3rd card and last, this one has failed after nearly a year of use. I suspect EVGA uses cheap or low quality ram and capacitors, cause if the ram doesn't fail after a year, the caps will blow.
Other Thoughts: I'm voiding EVGA now. After having every one of their cards fail in a year or less, I don't want to deal with them any more.

Double Edged Sword
Pros: The video card operates. However,
Cons: See below
Other Thoughts: Good luck if you are randomly hit with the Vista Driver Error: "Display Driver NVLDDMKM stopped responding and has successfully restored." because there seems to be at this time no solution to the problem. When you go to play games, the screen flickers between what you last saw and pure black. After three flickers, it spirals out of commission and gives you a nice black screen to stare at. It seems to be a driver problem with Vista, and it appears it happens with both Nvidia and ATI card owners. Vista has done little to address the problem, and I even heard rumours of people apparently preparing lawsuits if it wasn't fixed. Really pathetic that Vista has not addressed this problem, but we all know how the game plays. Microsoft is still fixing problems with Windows 98 because they rush the next operating system out without ironing out the bugs of the previous. Windows Vista will be long forgotten for Windows 7 (AKA Vista with little changes and a new GUI) in a year or two.

Great Card
Pros: Quiet, good performance, stays cool.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Yes it is pretty big but not too big. If you want a good card it's going to be big. I can play Bioshock Highest settings @1650 x 1080 with some AA and have no problems. Also Company of Heroes full settings same resolution no problems. Great card, no need to overclock, almost a 9800 GX2 except cooler. Setup: Intel Pentium Dual Core OC'd to 2.77. 2GB 800MHZ DDR2, EVGA 9800 GT

Good card for the money
Pros: Runs quiet (compared to my 7600GT), not too huge
Cons: Gets a bit toasty
Other Thoughts: In my CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case, the edge of the PCIe cable hits one of my hard drives. So yes, the card is large, but there are much larger ones. Performance is good for occasional gaming. Crysis played smoothly at 1280x1024 on all high settings, no AA. If you need more, look into another card.

Cons: EVGA almost never returns your MIR, so dont consider it. They have been steering away from this class card, and availability seems to be waining. Moving to new GF2xx chips I guess, but for non-gaming, there is a need in this tech / price range. NOTE: This is a LONG card, check site for specifics, but make sure your case will take it. Antec mid towers Squeeeeze by.
Other Thoughts: Note recent problems with screen black, then back, no failure, but a PITA. Fix is to raise refresh rate after install, driver problem? I had latest drivers, but found fix via GOOG. After that, full speed ahead.

Not compatible with BluRay Player
Pros: The card generally works as advertised, but see below.
Cons: I bought this card in response to the fact that a newly released game I bought my kids wouldn't run on an older ATI 1950x card. It fixed that problem and, unfortunately for me, I thought I'd made a good decision. When my year old BluRay/HD-DVD player started acting up - video was intermittently jumpy, I assumed it was the player and got a replacement. Two new BR-DVD players laters, I finally connected to the install of this card. When I swapped the old card back in - viola! Bottomline: I had problems with HD 720p playback using this card. It was outperformed by a much older ATI card, even though the MB is an SLI-compatible card with an nVidea chipset. Your mileage may vary.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, Thank you for the feedback. I apologize about the issues you are experiencing with your product. Please email me the serial number of the product you are having issues with so that I can review your case and assist you directly. My email address is ksabine@evga.com. Thank you, Kyle Sabine

The best single-slot solution IMHO...
Pros: I bought a pair of these to replace the pair of 8600GTS boards that I had previously. Compared to those cards, I am now getting about 120% better performance, compared to those cards. The fans also happen to be a bit quieter than the 8600's were too.
Cons: Buying two of these was probably a bit overpriced at the time, compared to buying a single, current GTX card. Because of my specific configuration, however, I had to go with these. Not a big con, but just enough to lose an egg over.
Other Thoughts: My machine acts as a Media Center, so because of my P5N32-E SLI's slot configuration (tuner card, sound card, wireless card), I had to find the best performance I could get out of a pair of cards that used only one slot.
These are a great single slot card solution (aside from perhaps the 1GB version that's available), especially if you need the slot next to the PCI-Ex16 slot that would otherwise be gobbled up by a dual-card's fans.

AWESOME CARD!!
Pros: Upgraded from the EVGA 7600GT to this one and what a difference!! Battlefield 2142, WoW, and CoD 4 runs very smooth on high settings! I'm sort-of on a budget build with my computer, so I decided to upgrade components as time passes versus spending a lump sum at one time, and after plenty of research I decided on this card.
Cons: None towards the card but Call Of Duty did not work after installing and updating.
Other Thoughts: My Budget system: Mach Speed MSNV 939 AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz EVGA GeForce 9800GT 4G Kingston HyperX DDR 400 (4 x 1G) 3HDD (80Gig WD internal, 300Gig WD internal, and 250Gig Segate external)

so far so good
Pros: Plays the newest games just fine. Left 4 Dead, Crysis, FarCry 2, etc. Updated the drivers via Windows Vista driver update and it works great. Good card for a good price.
Cons: It is a big card and it just barely fits in the Dell Studio tower I put it in. Unless you have a case with great airflow, I would add a PCI slot fan under this card to help with cooling.
Other Thoughts: I just installed this card into a brand new Dell Studio tower. I had to upgrade the power supply but other than that the card works great. It will play Left 4 Dead on high settings with a 2.93Ghz duo core and 4 gigs ram.
It is a big card, but with a little preplanning I got it to fit in a Dell Studio Tower. I also added a PCI fan for added cooling. I would not recommend trying to put this card in anything smaller than a Dell Studio Tower though.

Not bad!
Pros: -Quiet -Inexpensive -Doesn't take a huge amount of space -Not a power hog -Install was easy, no problems with drivers ect.
Cons: Left me wanting a little more! TF2 was a bit slow with 4gigs of ram and my 3x processor. Not bad for $110, though.
Other Thoughts: A++ would buy again!!

good card
Pros: thin, runs good, price
Cons: HOT!
Other Thoughts: If you are looking to upgrade an old computer this is a good card to do so with. If you are doing a new build go with a faster card

Great For the Money
Pros: Plays most games and good framerates, fairly cool under load, it plays crysis.
Cons: As of now none.
Other Thoughts: Running 2 of these in my system in sli and hitting almost 200 FPS on tf2, 60 on red alert free, 50 on DOW II

Great Video Card
Pros: I've purchased EVGA in the past and have been impressed with them before so I bought again. This card seems quieter than the 7800 GT OC it replaced and the performance boost is nothing to sneeze at. The card is rock solid and I had no issues installing it into my son's Antec P180 case. We primarily purchased this to upgrade his PC for the upcoming Aion MMORPG release.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: EVGA seems to always make good on their rebates unlike some other companies.

Could be great, but......
Pros: Plays most games out there with decent frame rates. Not bad performance for the money.
Cons: This card runs hot! (65 C to 72 C under a load). My case is a Cooler Master Centurion 5 and it has enough fans (also added a PCI slot fan, too). The heatsink/fan does not work work as well as the dual-slot GTX 260. Had no problems with the GTX 260 going over 56 C. Studders when it gets hot on COD WAW.
Other Thoughts: If it ran a bit cooler, it would be awesome. Cooling design really holds this card back from being stellar.
Manufacturer Response:Hi, The GPU is designed to operate in temperatures even over 100c, so 65-72c is perfectly within operating conditions. Thanks, Jacob

Great physics card
Pros: A great card for the price. Able to play left 4 dead really well on high settings.
Cons: none that i notice yet
Other Thoughts: The primary use of this card is to be a dedicated physics card, but right now its serving a purpose as a back up card until the gtx 295 arrives.

Great card
Pros: I upgraded from a 7600 GT. This card let's me play COD5 at max settings at 1680x1050 with a great frame rate. It plays any new games great. You can even run Crysis at Very High settings and have it be very playable, although Medium runs better.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Make sure it's not too long for your case. I had to buy a 400W Corsair PSU for this and a new 19" SATA data cable because the one in my case wasn't long enough to go over it and reach the DVD drive.

Buy it
Pros: Easy to install, runs all my games, including CoD4, CoD5, C&C3 on max graphics with no lag on 1680x1050. Came with Call of Duty 5 when I bought it, insane good deal.
Cons: Halo 1 was choppy on max graphics. Big deal.
Other Thoughts: The card comes with a program for overclocking, though I haven't used yet it as I haven't learned enough about overclocking to try it yet. I bought a Corsair 550 power supply to go with it, and a DVI-to-HDMI cable for my HD monitor.

Great upgrade for light gaming.
Pros: Nice card, it plays all my games on max. settings. Although i don't have many games, this card was a great upgrade form my GMA950 on board video. not bad for light gaming at all.
Also ordered this on memorial day and got it 2 days later, standard shipping. Newegg rocks!!!
Cons: None for the card, but just after i bought this Newegg put all kinds of price drops, and deals on it :(
Other Thoughts: NOTE to PCI-e 1.x users: My mobo is micro-atx using PCI-e 1.0 interface, this card works FINE on PCI-e 1.0. Some people don't think that they are backwards compatible, they are. If your running PCI-e 1.0 or 1.1 it is still a good idea to get a 2.0 card. You might have a slight drop in performance, but it will work, and chances are it will be a good upgrade. :)

Very good Product at Bargain $$
Pros: One of the best cards for the bucks.
Performs very nicely, was a breeze to install (nvidia drivers normally are)
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: As long as you have a good processor, enough RAM, this card will play anything at max settings, as long as it is supported by the rest of your system.

decent board
Pros: Single Slot. 512MB VRAM. NVIDIA chip set are all plusses. Installed and worked fine right out of the box
Cons: cooler fan is a little cheap looking and the cover feels cheap, but after installation, no problems with heat.
Other Thoughts: replaced a 8800GTS that was causing problems in my system.

Pros: Works incredible well when running games. Can run most new games at mid - highest settings. Stays relatively cool, even when playing games.
Cons: It is a rather large card, I had some very minor issues sliding it into my mid sized case, but nothing a steady hand can't get around.

Great Improvement
Pros: A vast improvement over my old e-GeForce 7600 GS, which could barely run Fallout 3 at minimum settings. I can now run it with all settings on high, HDR enabled, etc. I also agree with SteveS on the visual design of the fan enclosure. It's nice, sleek, black metal, without any flashy designs.
Cons: Unfortunately, this enclosure causes the card to run rather hot. The fan is also not the quietest in the world, although it may be quiet by other people's standards. It's currently the loudest fan in my case. This has prompted me to buy another cooler. I liked the sleek black casing, but exposed components are cool too, in a different way.
Other Thoughts: Yes, this card is pretty big. It's probably the biggest card I've seen that only uses one expansion slot. The page doesn't tell you how big it is, though, so I'll help you out. It's about 23 x 10 x 2 cm (9 x 4 x 3/4 in). I'm too lazy to take it back out and measure it exactly, so I'm just measuring the circuit board here. You should add about a centimeter to the length to make room for the PCI-E power connectora and the DVI ports, to the depth for the SLI bridge if you have one and the actual PCI-E slot connector, and to the height for adequate airflow around the fan.

Plays just about any game with decent frame rates
Pros: Plays games like FEAR, COD WAW, UT and others with playable frame rates and decent quality graphics. Not a major step up from my EVGA 8800GT in any respect really.
Cons: This card runs hot all the time. At 72 degrees C in a Cooler Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05, that is not good. These cases breath very well and have plenty of fan choices to choose from. Personally, Nvidia can talk all they want about doing CPU's. But until they get the heat down in the GPU's, they are not even a player in the market. Get the heat down!
Other Thoughts: Except for heat problems (video studders when it gets hot), it is a great card for the money. ATI makes faster cards for the money, but their drivers are something to be desired. Nvidia blows it on occasion, too. At least I can used the current set of Nvidia drivers without a bunch of issues...

awesome
Pros: Card plays all my games at max settings ( the games i play are not the newest out there, such as doom 3 and deus ex invisible war). I can't believe that just adding this card made that much of a difference. Unbelievable upgrade from my 8300 gs. extremely easy install even in my relatively tiny case (dell inspiron).
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: installed this and 500 W power supply at the same time

Great card.
Pros: Plays games I throw at it high-max with almost always flawless results.
Cons: Can get hot! Then again, I don't exactly have water-cooling in my mid-sized tower. I always keep the fan turned on at 100% with EVGA Precision, and it stays at about 44 Degrees Celsius.
Other Thoughts: I was on a budget, I wanted a video card that could handle WoW with shadows, AA, and Max res of 1680x1050. This card does that and more! WoW isn't known for being graphically needy, BUT in can be tough at times to get a decent frame rate going in Dalaran, even on the best "UBER" computer.
Anyways, thanks newegg and evga. :)

Awesome
Pros: 9800 gt!!! works great. Does its job. Sturdy. Well built from EVGA.
Cons: not a con, but runs hot like most cards these days.
Other Thoughts: Big upgrade from my 7300gt. BUT this is for a whole new comp build.
Bought the xfx 9800gt, but should have just bought this in the first place. Returned it for a full refund and no restocking fee. Thanks Newegg for outstanding customer service.

Nice add on
Pros: Added this card for dedicated Physx so my GTX 285 can focus on graphics alone. I do plan on adding a second GTX 285 for SLI, but won't be for a bit. I sold my sold to build my new rig.
Cons: None. This card does exactley what it is intended to do. Not all games are Physx capable, but the ones that are, it does help a lot.
Other Thoughts: For $130, and a free game, it was well worth the purchase.

niiice
Pros: I bought this card to replace an EVGA 8600GTS and the price of this card really helped with my purchase. paid $80 less for this than i did for the 8600GTS.
My score in 3dMark06 went from the 5600s to the 11,600s.
The temps while idle are about the same as my 8600GTS that i replaced, but that might be due air flow in case. Sort of ghetto rigged a 80mm fan in the front of case and temps dropped alittle.. will add 120mm later to see how much that helps (gotta find one laying around haha)
The design of the card is great too! very basic, professional looking. I don't really like the "young girl in a bikini fighting a dragon with a gun the size of a truck" graphics that you see on most cards today. Sleek black that's all i need.
comes with free game. already had it buy ehh ill give it to a friend.
card can transfer audio. see other thoughts.
Cons: huh what? nothing.
Other Thoughts: New egg doesn't state it, but this card actually comes with an SPDIF connection to transfer audio through the DVI ports. its the 2pin white port next to the sli connector. You can get the SPDIF cable along with the DVItoHDMI adapter directly from EVGA.
Also, new egg says you need atleast 26Amps on +12v, but the box says you only need 18Amps.
I'm thinking of buying another for SLI.

Not bad, Crysis capable
Pros: Plays Crysis fairly well. Most all settings on "High" and fairly decent framerate.
Cons: Can't play Crysis on "Very High" and with AA.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad card for the cost.

Spectacular Card!
Pros: Runs all of my games on highest settings with 8 - 16 aa including oblivion, crysis, etc. The card gets up to 60 degrees Celsius at the most when i'm playing the more graphic intensive games while on 90% fan speed. I get about 30 fps on the graphic intensive games and games such as COD 5 get about 60 fps.
Cons: My Windows Vista tends to crash while using this card. It will cause the blue screen on boot, but all I have to do is restart. My games sometimes freeze too during some parts, but only some of the time. Most of the time I am not playing my games, so I don't leave the card in the computer unless I am playing my games.
Other Thoughts: Even though I gave this card 4 stars, don't let this review stop you from purchasing this card. But for only about $50 more you could by a gtx 260 instead.

Rock Solid
Pros: Starting with the externals, this card is very, very well made, and solid.
It's very fast, and will will rip most games up even at 1680 x 1050 (my resolution).
If you're concerned about Crysis; if you back this GPU up with a good Quad Core, You'll get + 30 FPS on high settings in XP.
Other popular games like COD this card will rip through them at + 50 FPS.
Single Slot Solution
Rather low power consumption compared to the new honker GTX seris GPU's.
Very Stable even with a 75+ Mhz OC.
Cons: The only con I can think of is that when you crank the fan speed up, it gets rather loud.
Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget or have a monitor resolution lower than 1680 x 1050, except no subsitute.

This baby rocks!
Pros: Runs Crysis at medium/high at around an average of 30 fps.
Blows away CoD5 and any Valve game but I use vsync so it doesnt get choppy.
Cons: Well it vents hot air into the case but I dont have a problem with that but some people with bad cooling might
Other Thoughts: Sadly they didnt ship me two for the price of one

Perfect "True Single Slot" Card
Pros: A perfect fit upgrade in a Dell Optiplex 745 full tower with only 1 available pci-e slot/ will make a nice card to run dedicated nVidia PhysX someday in an sli config.. lol.
Cons: I purchased the 512Mb version before the 1Gb version came out. Didn't really think the step-up program was worth bothering with for the added ram for this card. But that's the life of a vid card as we all know, so I'm not going to really call it a con.
Other Thoughts: Still satisfied with this card. Can play L4D and COD 4/5 on max settings with no issues. I have the card slightly OC'd.. wouldn't recommend getting too crazy over 700Mh on the core clock without massive air on the card, I started getting artifacting passing 700Mh. I suggest the Vantec PCI slot case cooler mounted parallel to the card.. I am running pretty stable a little over 700Mh with fans cranked, and temp staying around 46-48C degrees after a few hours of gametime. Get the 1Gb card if you are compairing it to this 512Mb card..

Great Card
Pros: Awesome card. Does everything I need. I am a gamer and this card plays everything for me. Crysis, Fallout, HL2 all on high without any flaws. Great price. No game was given when I bought it. So buying it now and getting World at War would be a plus. I got a $20 rebate from the manufacturer. Took about 8 weeks.
Cons: Download the drivers. The driver disc included in package is outdated.

Pros: It is a great card and it is cheap for what you get. High performance great amt. of memory and is SLI capable what can u say. This card runs all my games great including the sims 3 and crysis and tomb raider and the list goes on and on. Doesnt not require too much power and the cd comes with a program to oc this puppy and to adjust fan speed which I think is very useful.
Cons: This baby id long and i do mean long and if u dont have the proper amt. of power for this baby it will get hot. Oh and two days after I bought it newegg starting selling this baby w/ World at War but thats not the card's fault
Other Thoughts: If u don't have at least a 400W power supply this card won't get enough juice to cool itself and it will get HOT.

Superb
Pros: 1. It works. 2. It's fast - for my needs. 3. Nvidia drivers do not BSOD in the middle of a project. 4. Relatively inexpensive. 5. It's quiet. 6. Did I say it works?
Cons: It's long. Barely fit in my formerly capacious Lian-Li case, coming within 3/16" of the drive cage. Requires a 6 pin 12 volt power supply connector. An adapter for two fan connectors is included, but seems like a cludge workaround.
Other Thoughts: System is an Intel 975 board, Core 2 Duo processor with 4G Ram, about 1 year old. Former ATI FireGL card, always buggy (vaunted Catalyst drivers notwithstanding), would not handle upgrade to Adobe CS4 from CS3. CS4 moved lots of work off the CPU to the graphics processor and memory. Adobe tested and certified the Nvidia 9800 series cards, although not this specific one. But this EVGA/Nvidia card has eaten everything I've thrown at it, including nearly instantaneous max Gaussian blur on a 400MB file. Amazing. Of course, this is all 2D work, and thus is not too indicative of 3D performance. Still, not all contemporary cards have managed well the shift from CS3 to CS4. A flat hundred bucks seems a very reasonable way to do it - and 3D is a bonus. Hey, it runs Google Earth really well.

Caution
Pros: Probably an excellent card.
Cons: After extensive communication with EVGA and MSI the conclusion is that this card is incompatible with my K8N Neo4 Platinum (MS-7125) PCI-E 1.0 Motherboard. EVGA reported that they had tested the card with many PCI-E 1.0 boards but it evidently does not work with all.

Great Card!
Pros: This card installed fine, runs very nicely, isn't too loud. Even with my poorly vented system it never hits 70C.
Cons: A very large card, some people might not be able to fit it in their case.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone with a roomy mid-atx case or larger.

Great i guess, till it died.
Pros: It performed fabulously for games such as Call of Duty 4 and improved performance in Adobe After Effects CS4. Cheap card compared to other similarly powered cards.
Cons: I found a review that showed its not actually a true 9800 card. My knowledge is incomplete on that so i cant really comment as it seemed fine to me.
However, it DIED!!! it just inexplicably died. i dont overclock, and it didnt overheat as my system is very nicely cooled. I havent even had it long and there were no symptoms leading to the death.
Other Thoughts: I was 5 minutes into a game and my monitor went blank. Monitor is fine as it recognizes for a moment that it gets plugged in (when i re-plug it back into the card) but then says "No Signal" and goes back to sleep.
Upon boot-up, i also get 1 regular beep, followed by 8 short beeps, followed by another beep, never once with even a flicker on the monitor. I know that the 8 beeps mean there's a problem with the Graphics card so from what ive found, it is indeed dead.
I dont have enough money for a new card so unless i can get it replaced, i think i may just cry.

Awesome Card
Pros: Super fast, plays all the latest games, runs very cool (idles between 39C and 45C), quiet, can't beat the price. If you're a gamer on a budget, this is the card for you. EVGA makes great, high quality cards.
Cons: I have a fairly big mid-tower case, and this thing is so long, that it just about goes into my HD cage. But it still fits, fortunately. Just make sure you have enough room.
Other Thoughts: Huge step up from my old 7600GS. Scores 21,730 FPS on glxgears.

Enough
Pros: Runs quiet, so fast that I end up using vsync, cheap.
Cons: none that I've found so far.

Great Dedicated PhysX Card
Pros: Single slot, quite fan, low power consumption. Works great as a dedicated PhysX card. Increased my FPS by 20% on CryoStasis using this card solely for PhysX, while my other video card handled the rest of the graphic rendering.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Does what its supposed to.

Excellent
Pros: Great performance, quiet, delivers outstanding graphics and high def quality when watching blue rays on HTPC
Cons: The card is long and made connecting the SATA cables on micro ATX mobo a little close, but not a problem.

Great Card!
Pros: Very Very cool quiet and when compared to the stock 7900GS that came with my Dell XPS 410. I had to look into the case with a flashlight to make sure it was actually running! I can now play Guitar Hero III maxed out, and Flight Sim X on Ultra High settings. Big improvement over the 7900GS.
Cons: None as far as performance goes. I can see that the size of the card may be a drawback for some, however, my XPS 410 had ample room for this baby.
Other Thoughts: New Egg delivered in 1 day! Amazing!!! The $20.00 rebate makes it a No Brainer!

Great card!!
Pros: Plays most games at high res. For the cost it is a great option for a budget gamer or to play HD DVD/Blu Ray.
Cons: Its long but this is to be expected for a powerfull card. I like spaghetti and there are no settings or options with this card that can get me some freakin speghetti in my belly.
Other Thoughts: Good value.

Not bad
Pros: Single slot, just long enough ie. 10" to not hit my hard drives in mid atx case. Love the overclocking tool. Runs about 50C with fan on 35% power by default. From 80% fan power, the card starts to get very noisy. Full fan power only decreases temps by 5C. The card is well built and stable so far. Can be downclocked and overclocked. I'm using 400W power supply with 27Amps for both V1 and V2 rails, no problems. I think the minimum is 26Amps for this card. The card consumes about 105 Watts at peak.
Cons: none

Nvidia for the win!
Pros: Great card, runs quietly and has two DVI outputs and a couple accesories. Nvidia's cards/drivers are far superior in most ways lately.
Cons: Not crazy abt the new control panel from Nvidia, seems to lack some features that should be more accessible. TV out has an issue recognizing certain TV connections
Other Thoughts: The TV out issue is solved w/the "staple trick" for the S-Video to RGB converter. Really strange fix but it works. Haven't set it up in SLI yet because my mobo doesn't support it, but I figure it could only get better :-)

Other Cards is Babies
Pros: Incredible card. It runs every game I play very, very well. All maxed out, I can play Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and the Penny Arcade Rainslick games flawlessly. This is a huge jump from the 64MB X1400 I used for gaming on my laptop.
Cons: None that I can think of, unless I start playing Crysis.
Other Thoughts: Overall, I thoroughly enjoy this card.

Too long for sli
Pros: I have no complaints about the overall functioning of this card and will concur with previous pros listed here, so long as you are only using one of these cards.
Cons: I had contemplated trying an SLI setup, which turns out to be impossible with this card. The card itself extends horizontally to the end of the motherboard (ATX). The 6 connector power plug, however, must be connected directly into the end of the card horizontally. With my case (Lian-LI), there's a 3 HD cage and the top of the cage is only a half inch below the level of the card. Therefore, I was able to connect the additional power plug into the card. If I was to try the same connection with a second card, there would be no way for the plug to connect, unless, perhaps, if you only had a single hard drive and you placed that hard drive on the bottom of the cage (which unfortunately is not possible with the Lian-Li - but that's a Lian-Li problem). Anyone that contemplates this card for SLI had better make some measurements to determine exactly where their hard drives are going to be in relation to the slots for both video cards.
Other Thoughts: In a nutshell, 4 out of 5 for a single card (the deduction is for excessive length and the crapshoot you would encounter when trying to use this card with different cases. 0 out of 5 for a pair of these cards since it would be impossible, I think, without modifying your case internally.

Pros: Recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be happier. Have a few new games that would not work with an off the shelf computer with basic features, and when I installed, yes I, It worked right away and the video was more than excellent. I also got 4gig memory and that combination was a wise choice.
Cons: I personally don't have any!!!
Other Thoughts: Very simple to install, anyone can do it.

Good buy
Pros: At this price point, you can't get much better. If you are seeking great value...this is the card to get.
The ability to add-on another card using SLI when you have more available funds is a good option for upgrading on a budget.
Cons: I see no cons, be sure to download the latest drivers.
Other Thoughts: This card handled Crysis with over 30 FPS on highest allowable settings.

Good card - Bad Egg
Pros: Good video card. It's quiet and has no problem displaying high end CAD graphics I use daily like Catia and Solidworks.
Cons: I gave it 5 eggs because the card runs great. However Newegg presented it as having a $20 rebate. After jumping through all the hoops needed for that, the rebate was declined because the rebate was not for this version of 9800 GT.

Excellent!
Pros: Fast and inexpensive. Only one slot thick (unlike most of the other 9800GTs). Seems to handle all the games I've thrown at it without cracking a sweat. It puts out some heat, but I have adequate cooling in my case so it's doing fine. So far I'm really impressed with it (my last 5 cards have all been EVGA, and I haven't had a single problem with any of them). Definitely recommended if you're in the market for a low-budget/high performance card.
Cons: It's a big long and might not fit in a small case where the hard drive is at the opposite end. You need a good reputable power supply with plenty of amps on the 12v rail (not really a con--just an observation).
Other Thoughts: I hope the rebate comes.

Easy to install
Pros: Very easy to install, booted right up, lots of nifty features. Has built-in video, high definition audio, gigabit LAN, and plenty of USB headers. It's a very tiny board, so fits easily in small cases. (It looks really small in my large case, though.) Solid state caps make it last longer, especially if you run 24/7, and it's very quiet. I'd recommend it if you are looking for a smaller board with plenty of features.
Cons: If you put in a separate video card, it renders one of the two PCI slots unusable (unless you have two very flat cards). The RAM is very close to the processor, so if you're planning on overclocking you need extra cooling. No firewire. Only 2 chassis fan controllers.
Other Thoughts: I disabled Express Gate. It seemed kind of silly to boot into a "fake" OS in 5 secs when it only takes 10 secs to boot into real Windows. It's a nice idea, but nothing I'd want to use, and the extra click when booting was annoying. I suppose it would be handy for those who are short on time and want to quickly check their email in the morning before work, but for most users it makes no sense.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Unbelieveable card!! I'm running Warhammer Online at high settings (turn them down for huge scale PvP) and the game looks utterly gorgeous.
Cons: None really.
Other Thoughts: It's HUGE... so if you're using a Micro ATX board or something make sure you'll be able to get to all your SATA ports and whatnot with how you place it in the case. It fit EXACTLY into the case I bought, so I was fortunate (pure luck... this was my first build) and didn't block anything, but unless you purchase a full size mobo, that's deff not guaranteed.
