Works Great
Pros: I use it for a CAD workstation and it works fine. I don't work with really large assemblies, so I have not noticed any deficiency in the card. So for what I do, it's a good card for the money.
Cons: None

eggcellent
Pros: Does just what I wanted it to--run Avid. This card is the lowest end graphics card that Avid's system specs require. - Sleek, doesn't take up two slots like most gfx cards these days--yet fairly solid in build and seems high quality--as I would hope for a 'workstation'.
Cons: Only problem I've had is that Photoshop doesn't like it and complains that it's not a good enough card and turns off some things. I go back into preferences and turn them back on (it's openGL acceleration or advanced effects or something or other) and it works just fine.
Other Thoughts: Never used PNY before, but it seems you have little choice when shopping for Quadros. - Again, I have no feedback concerning it's performance in games or 3D design or anything else really. I bought it with the sole intention of running video editing properly according to software requirement listings, and so far it has met those expectations. As far as rendering goes, from what I've seen all rendering is done by the processors, for both timeline and exporting--which makes sense because have 4 or 8 workstation cores is a lot more powerful than the video card. - What the card DOES do, in theory, is enable a few more realtime openGL effects and transitions and stuff (real time playback without having to render). Because I haven't compared and contrasted directly, I have not noticed any difference in this respect.

Works Great!
Pros: Card works absolutely great for the money. Does every thing i need it to do in solidworks and even runs realview just fine. If you are looking for a nice nvidia card to run solidworks and wont break the bank this is a nice one.
Cons: wish it was open GL 2.1. makes a massive difference in performance.

Very happy withit
Pros: My PC configuration:
AMD Opteron 165 Denmark Asus A8n-SLI 2GB Ram 120GB HD Quadro Fx570
O.S. Debian 64Bit Lenny
Honestly, I was very impressed when I performed the test with SPECViewperf (you can see the result below), and the Quadro FX570 is also performing very well under Maya 2009 (Linux Version). I read that some people is not very happy with this card's performances... the only thing that I can say to them is: TRY THIS CARD WITH LINUX! (if you can).
Many times is the OS the problem and not the video card :D
Cons: Maybe the price, but in the computer world, old peripheral are always more expensive that the recent ones.
Other Thoughts: Benchmark performed unde Debian 64Bit Lenny with driver 180.29

Solid CAD Workstation Card
Pros: I use SolidWorks and have always used PNY Quadro cards. I guess I don’t have anything to compare them to but from all of the information I have gathered about SolidWorks workstations and the amount of trouble I have had with my Vid Cards there is no reason to switch.
Cons: None

Entry Level
Pros: It is capable of basic 3D CAD work. Runs great on 2D CAD work. Fair price. It runs on Vista. Has not broken.
Cons: Slow. Even on basic models this has trouble. Even worse on Vista.
The Nvidia website will even tell you this is for entry level. (I wish we would have listened to them)
Other Thoughts: If you are learning some 3D software or only use 2D it is a decent card. If you will be using 3D software half the time or more then I have one thing to say:
DO NOT CHEAP OUT.
Go for a more high range product or you will definitely regret it.
My company thought "hey we don't do this stuff too often lets save some money!" I'm regretting every minute of making that decision.

Nice card
Pros: All drivers for Vista 64 were available from the site. Very nice card for engineering and video editing. Runs the full Vista Aero experience fine. It registers as a 5.0 for Graphics and a 5.2 for gaming graphics, even though it is not a gaming card. Running a dual display set up.
Cons: The mobo would not POST with this card in the slot. Had to use the onboard video to change a BIOS setting in order for it to default to PCI express. The card then worked fine. Strange settings at first, where Vista did not recognize it and turned off Aero the first few times I booted up and it kept saying new hardware installed. Everything is running fine now.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you restart the computer after each driver is installed or you will get strange behavior. Very nice card for what it was designed to do.

NewTek: LightWave 3D
Pros: Cheap, but not cheap enough.
Cons: Doesn't work at all with NewTek's products, such as LightWave 3D. Do NOT get this if your going to use LightWave 3D.
Other Thoughts: Save your money up, and get a higher CPU (Processor) Trust me!!!

Eye Candy Video card
Pros: After reading all reviews about the FX570, I feel that it is time to set the record straight. It occurs to me that the worst comments come from people who think that Quadro's are somehow professional gaming cards, well guess what, Quadro's are designed for business applications, ABSOLUTELY NOT for gaming. As for the FX570 you get for your 180 bucks a crisp and vivid and very detailed picture, rivaled only by much more expensive video cards such as offered by MATROX. W'r talking business graphics here, 3D design, Auto cad, Webdesign, Printed Circuit board Design etcetera. In this environment the FX570 delivers great graphic quality and reliability. Period.
Cons: If you install this card in XP, or 2K DON'T use the drivers on the CD that comes with the card, it will most likely hose your XP OS. Use instead the latest Unified QUADRO WHQL drivers from NVidia's website.
Other Thoughts: Perhaps the Egg could explain (in a nutshell) the difference between mainstream 8xxx and 9xxxx "performance" cards and what Quadro stands for, a bit more transparent on their web site? Just a suggestion to avoid unnecessary RMA's ?

Doesn't work good for CAD
Pros: None.
Cons: Terrible performance for CAD applications. A cheap gaming card works better for CAD than this thing.
Other Thoughts: To the people who knock my review because they didn't read the whole thing (CAD guy);
I could care less about it's performance in games, that's not what I bought it for. I bought it for my CAD 3D and OpenGL accelerated programs: 3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush, XSI, and After Effects. The fact that this card performs WORSE than a gaming card bought for less money is the only reason why I mentioned games. Why spend more money on a workstation card that is more expensive and doesn't work any better than a cheaper gaming card??? Next time read my whole review before posting nonsense.

works fine for CAD
Pros: works for what it is intended for CAD 3D applications
Cons: really none
Other Thoughts: these gamer folks that get on here and say that it is not a good gaming card....no duh, its not a gaming card, thats like saying a hammer doesnt make a good screw driver, right tool for the job, common sense, next time know what you are buying.

Sub-par performance for the price
Pros: Drivers? Stability? These could be a pro, but I'm not sure, since I won't be keeping it long enough to test the card long term.
Cons: This card performs slightly lower than a gaming card I bought for a little less money. OpenGL scores in Cinebench are a couple hundred points lower than my ATI HD3850. It also has slower real world performance in 3ds Max 2008 and Maya 2008. I tested it with a 500,000 poly scene that I am trying to animate, and both cards get less than 10fps. About 8fps for the ATI HD3850, and 6fps for the Quadro FX 570. Similar results were noticed in After Effects. I bought this card to replace my low-end gaming for the graphics work that I do, while I save up for a FireGL V7600. Should have bought an 8800GT instead and kept saving for the FireGL.
All updated drivers were installed and the card has no apparent malfunctions, it just performs quite a bit lower than I was hoping for.
Other Thoughts: I wasn't expecting a lot from this low-end Quadro, but I did expect it to out pace my cheap gaming card. The Quadro is slightly more expensive than a 3850, but it performs slightly lower than the 3850 in digital content creation apps. Of course the 3850 smokes the Quadro in games. For 20 bucks less you can buy the 3850 which will do games AND have OpenGL performance a little higher than the Quadro FX 570. Shame on you Nvidia.
The Quadro may be more stable and I think it has a much longer warranty, but this isn't enough for me. I need the performance.

Likes Inventor 8
Pros: This was purchased for Autodesk Inventor Series 8 and it handles the work without any strain. Set up AA at 4x and again fast and flawless. Smooth and quick. Temp stays around 41C-44C. I think if you were to SLI a pair of these you could do anything. I would not hesitate to buy this again.
Cons: Have not found a con really but a curiosity perhaps. I usually buy micro atx boards with nvidia chipsets and use add on nvidia graphics cards and the drivers for the add on card will run the onboard graphic chip as well but, not with the quadro drivers. The onboard 7100 graphic chip is not recognized by the quadro drivers in my GA-73PVM-S2H board. I don't care really as the FX570 is all that I will use in this setup and I have a small computer which takes up little space. So no foul really. Plastic Push pin cpu fansink mounting - now that's a con. It'll work but for how long?
Other Thoughts: I liked the performance level for the price and every PNY device that I have used over the years has worked as it should without a lot of grief. So I was confident it would do the job. :MS XP MCE 2005, Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H (BIOS F5), A-Data DDR II 800 1.8V @ 836 cas 5 2GB-(2X1GB), E4700 C2D @ 3.11-FSB 956, Corsair 450VX PS, WD Caviar SE-16 320 GB Sata II HDD, Lite-On DVD-ROM, Lite-On DVD-RW W/LS, Koutech Flash card reader, Samsung Floppy, FoxConn TV-544 Micro Case, Samsung 2253BW 2MS monitor(Glossy black), Creative T10 speakers(Glossy black), Logitech EX110 cordless KB and mouse. Updating this MB to bios F5 is a must in my opinion. If you use this board go ahead and have F5 on a diskette and enter setup and use Q flash to update right out of the gate. It is painless.

Pros: I have used Quadros at work and home for more than three years now. I use an HP workstation at the office w/ a FX 560. At home, it's a FX 1300. I purchased the FX 1300 in 2005 and it just failed this weekend. To be fair to the device, my pc ambient case temp is generally between 130 and 160F.
I have been very happy with the Quadros and would highly recommend them to any MCADMCAE jockey.
Cons: There are some issues when using multitple cards with multiple displays on each card. Also a few annoyances with window positioning, maximizing, etc. The blame for these issues can probably be shared equally between the Quadros, Microsoft, and whatever application (APPLE iTUNES) is misbehaving.

Great for the Price for 3D CAD
Pros: Runs Solidworks 2007 & 2008 without any problem. Was rather inexpensive compared to high end GPUs for CAD. Works just fine in a 2 small monitor setup. Is a certified card with Solidworks and most other CAD programs.
Fairly quiet fan, and is a relatively small 1 slot PCI-e card. It over-clocks moderately with the Nvidia control panel software.
Cons: None really. However, if you use CAD programs with hundreds of parts in an assembly, it might get rather slow? But I've had no problems with medium sized CAD models in Solidworks 2007.
Since it's an inexpensive card, you can't turn the Anti-aliasing all the way up in your CAD models without a noticable speed hit. Moderate anti-aliasing settings are OK and look decent without being too slow.
Other Thoughts: This video card and extra RAM gave an old 3GHz Pentium 4 computer a second life as a "poor mans" CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Fluid Dynamics (CFD) workhorse.
I updated the video drivers right off the NVidia website. No problems there. I like the Nvidia software as it allows you to control the fan speed (trade off cooling vs. noise) and can overclock right in their software. I was not satisfied with the way the edges in Solidworks looked (jagged lines) with the settings at "let the application decide", so I manually turned up the anti-aliasing to about 4X (a moderate setting) through the Nvidia control panel. It made the jaggies almost completely go away, without a serious speed hit when rotating 3D models. It works just fine for casual 3D CAD use. The videocard is even better than the one in my 2 year old D*ll M70 laptop workstation (custom designed for CAD work).

Made SolidWorks perform great!
Pros: Great price for a card of this quality. Had no issues installing and updating the drivers via the nVidia web site. Powers my SolidWorks 3D application and 28" monitor without issue...
Cons: Flickering with a 17" Dell attached to secondary port went away by changing the refresh rate to 72Hz on the secondary display.
Other Thoughts: Running WinXP Pro on a Dell Dual Core 1.8GHz with 1GB RAM. No issue with my system recognizing the card.
