Rating + 5 Decent.

Pros: Great price, lots of built-on RAM, small form factor, even has S-video. I got this card for the purpose of hooking it up to a tv with an S-video connection and it works exactly as it should. Plays DirectX games prior to the Doom 3/ Quake 4 era quite well. Great price-to-performance ratio, and with so many different connector types, there's little you won't be able to connect it to, save HDMI. The 512 MB buffer means this card will function with nvidia's included PhysX extensions! nvidia's quality shines through with driver/multi-monitor support.

Cons: Under-performer, but that's expected for a card this small/cheap. Don't play anything beyond UT2K4, as this card, despite its unified shader architecture, will struggle with games that're too graphically involved. 64 bit bus for the RAM hurts performance. Heat sink and fan barely capable of cooling the GPU, as I've BURNED my finger on this thing after a full bore run!

Other Thoughts: Keep an extra fan directly blowing on the heat sink! This thing gets HOT! Otherwise, it performs quite well, despite coming from a company I've never heard of before getting it. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Rating + 5 Great dual monitor card

Pros: Inexpensive, dual monitor, great business or home use card.

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: I got this card for my XP Pro computer to run dual monitors. I just upgraded that pc to Windows 7 and it works like a champ. I bought a new pc for home with Windows 7 installed and got the same card because it worked great and was well priced. My Aero rating went down from 4.5 ( NVIDIA GeForce 9100 graphics) to 4.4. Gaming graphics went up from 5.1 to 5.3.

Rating + 2 Bah...

Pros: I bought this card for an upgrade from onboard graphics, was a nice little card, ran relatively cool, and allowed me to play a good selection of games at decent to great settings.

Cons: Today, I heard a loud, and brief buzzing noise coming from inside my computer, and low and behold, the graphics card had shorted out right near the s-video port. The computer is plugged into 2 surge suppressors, so I know that wasn't the culprit, and I had only had the card for a about a week and a half...

Other Thoughts: No thoughts, just general sorrow that I paid for a card that blew up, not even under a strain..

Cons: no dual dvi support.

Other Thoughts: Worked great in my gateway sx2800 without any problems. Returned it only because I neeeded dual dvi and dual monitor.

Rating + 5 TV Out on my 35" Tube TV

Pros: Installed fits and is working perfectly in my low profile Dell GX620.
Did not have to attach additional power connection.
Included cable lets you out output with S Video or RCA cables, both work flawlessly, only adjustment I had to set monitor resolution to 1024 x 768 and Clone in Nvidia.

Cons: Can not think of anything to complain about.
You have to provide your own S Video and RCA cables.
Just glad it works well and easily.

Other Thoughts: This was the 3rd Video Card I tried.
The Fiirst One Would not fit due to large Heat Sink.
2nd One had an odd ball 9 pin S Cable Connector and no adapter cable.
Really happy with this card and that my daughter can now watch her Scooby Doo!

Rating + 4 Works for me

Pros: Works with HP Compaq DC7600 SFF desktop, allowing Vista / Win7 to utilize Aero features. Does not require PSU upgrade (240W OEM). Installed lowprofile slot brackets.

Cons: None

Rating + 4 decent card

Pros: Cheap. Works. Fits low profile case via additional brackets (included).

Cons: Obviously designed for the home-built chassis. I put this in a Dell OptiPlex 360, low profile chassis (work), and the cable for the HD15 video connector was pulled extremely tight.

The difference being that with a home-built chassis, the video card is the furthest to the right (when looking from the front). And in this particular Dell chassis, it was the furthest to the left...which means I had to run the ribbon cable for HD15 connector up and over the card to the back side (solder side).

I also had to put the bracket in the case first, then the connector. When I tightened down the standoffs, the cable was completely tight and under strain.

If the manufacturer would add an additional 1" to the cable, that would be ideal so that the connector could be used on either side of the video card with ease.

Rating + 4 Not Bad

Pros: Very easy to install and not bad for gaming either like half life 2, company of heroes (low settings), UT 2004 etc.
Once I installed it my computer screen was zoomed in so I called Jaton and they were very useful they told me step by step what to do to fix it.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: Very nice for the price

Rating + 5 Nice little low-profile card

Pros: Relatively quiet fan, low profile ready, good performance for the price.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: Put this card into an HP DX5150 SFF case, along with an AMD Athlon X2 4200 and 2GB DDR RAM. Makes a great system for my kids, even plays recent games well.

Rating + 5 Hard to beat

Pros: Cheap, decent GPU and memory, small size.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Bought as an upgrade for an Inspiron 530. Zero problems even with stock PSU. Runs Fallout 3 just fine, which is what I bought it for, so I'm happy...

Rating + 5 Excellent Card

Pros: Got this card to stick in a Dell GX280 SFF PC. This card runs a bit warm but I can play World Of Warcraft at 1920x1050 on my 42" TV with the settings at about half with little to no problems. Perfect card to use as a stop gap for a upgrade to get you by for a few extra months.
WoW didn't like the drivers on the CD very much, ran a bit sluggish, downloaded the latest drivers from the web and ran perfectly. The small form factor bracket that this card came with was easy to install.

The PC I have runs a 160W SFF power supply with no obvious issues using this card even though the card says it requires something like 145W (or something close to that)by itself.

Cons: It does run pretty warm, I use just stock cooling in my PC and case temp went up 7 degrees Fahrenheit. Its not a show stopper for me but if your on the edge already with heat you may want to think twice.

Rating + 4 Decent Entry Level Card

Pros: Installation was pretty straightforward. Card worked as expected. Good Graphics (not extreme high end by no means)

Cons: The vga port cable could have been a little bit longer for side by side installation in slim pc cases. They assume you'll be installing the bracket on the component side slot of the video card but mine needed to be on the other side. I ended up using the digital output to my LCD monitor so it wasn't an issue.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace an ATI X1300 that came with my Dell C521 PC. It installed very nicely in my slimline case. No need for an upgraded power supply which was a plus. It was enough of an upgrade to allow me to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Assassins Creed.

Pros: Low profile, worked great for the first few hours

Cons: sketchy FPS in full-screen video and game-play, froze my computer a few times, manufacturer's drivers conflict with Win Vista 64-bit

Other Thoughts: Don't buy if you're going to be playing games and watching movies. Word Processing? go right ahead...

Pros: Amazing cheap card if your looking for one. It shows everything nice and crisp, with extreme detail.

Cons: See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: If you have a Dell 530s, be aware the card MIGHT hang out a little bit, I currently have my cover off because of it. But other than that, great buy. Kudos to NewEgg.

Pros: Easy and perfect fit for my Dell 530s. Comes with back plates. Nice picture, great improvement over cheap built in card. All this for only $50.00. A+++++ If you make any upgrades to your computer....this is it, you'll appreciate it every time you turn your computer on.

Cons: no HDMI.....but for this price I can't complain.

Pros: Comes with everything you need to adapt it to a low profile mount, (accept the 5mm socket and wrench, obviously). Runs fairly quiet, no heat or power problems yet.

Cons: Prior to the release of the Feb. 18 series 8 driver updates, would blue-screen on the boot up of more recent games (Warhammer: Mark of Chaos and Dawn of War 2). Driver update fixed the issue.

Other Thoughts: Installed on an HP 3400f slimline with a little difficulty. Had to remove the modem from the lower PCI slot and reposition a few wires. Haven't had any difficulty with the power constraints so far. Runs Dawn of War 2 decently on low video settings; highest setting cause a considerable amount of slow down.

Rating + 5 What a card

Pros: Bought this entirely on reviews and price. Based on what others had to say, I gave it a chance. I am completely on Linux, Ubuntu, 81.0, using the NVidia drivers. Installed google earth, wow it screams.

Cons: Right now, with the DVI plugged in, my machine will not boot, only with VGA. I have not done any investigation, but it may just be that it is not seating properly. It does not even get to the BIOS.

Other Thoughts: Great for the price, and it screams with google earth and X-Plane.

Rating + 5 Great upgrade for low profile comps

Pros: I went from running everything on low in Battlefield 2142 to everything on high with antilasing X8. cheap. low profile.

Cons: It was kind of hard to mount the low profile bracket. the VGA input isn't actually connected to the board. It is only attached by the cord.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very pleased with this card. I was worried about buying from a company that I didn't know anything about but it has turned out to be a great card.

Rating + 2 Sound

Pros: This board is ok for graphics. I was installing it in a media center PC.

Cons: The two computers I installed this card in had onboard HD sound and in both computers it caused the sound to quit working. When you pull the board out and boot to windows sound came back both times. I updated the drivers and still nothing.

Other Thoughts: I guess I am the only one with this problem since I have been searching the internet and coming up zero for zero on this problem.

Pros: Good card. Raised vista exp. to a 3.6 from a 3.2

Rating + 4 Pretty good card

Pros: Large memory capacity, PCI express, low power consumption, works good for low profile systems (in my case, the Vostro(tm) 200 slimtower.

Cons: The GPU is only a GeForce 8400GS, but considering its a low profile card and its low power consumption (and the price), I cant complain.

Other Thoughts: I use for casual games:
World of Warcraft(tm)
Battlefront(tm) (the first one)
Age of Mythology(tm)
Dungeon Siege LOA(tm)
High Settings on all of them.
Games like that. I hope this helps =)

Pros: I am not using this card for gaming. Works well with Mepis 8, Ubuntu 8.10, Compiz-fusion, and WinXP under virtualbox as a guest of Mepis or Ubuntu. Core temperature rarely goes above 44 degrees c.

Cons: No cons identified.

Rating + 4 Works in Dell 530s

Pros: Vista 64 Gaming graphics rating went from 3.5 to 4.7. Seems to work w/ stock power supply.

Cons: Improvement not as impressive as I expected. Also, the Vista Graphics rating went down - was 4.5 w/ standard onboard graphics accelerator, now it's 3.4...

Other Thoughts: Why would the desktop graphics performance decrease w/ this card?

Rating + 5 Beautiful

Pros: Installed this on my Dell 531s as an upgrade to the integrated GeForce 6150SE video. Easy upgrade; it took 10 min total. The driver disk worked fine. The difference is obvious. It looks so much better. This was a cheaper alternative to upgrading direct with Dell by about 50% and its a better card than Dell offers. Windows Vista runs way smoother (4.9 index on gaming). Good choice, great price for a low profile card. It works fine with the stock 250 power supply. I am very happy with the purchase. WoW looks 1000% better, so realistic.

Cons: You will need a tiny socket wrench to change to the included low profile bracket. Not a big deal, I used small needle nose plyers and the switch was easy.

Other Thoughts: The whole PC runs smoother since my RAM is not being sapped by the video card anymore. I ordered late Monday night, it arrived on Thursday morning. Thanks Newegg! I could not find a card like this at any retail store near me.

Rating + 4 Nice Product

Pros: I bought this to replace the integrated card on my Dell 530S. The installation was a snap. Although Windows Vista installed drivers for this device I recommend you use the drivers that ship with the product. My Windows Experience Index jumped from a sluggish 3.2 graphics to 4.9. The playback for movies is HD quality. I immediately saw an increase in my Ram usage. Fan is fairly quite. Excellent color rendering. Good choice for HD media content. Excellent value for the price. Very fast delivery time.

Cons: I could not get the bundled software that came with the product to work. Attempts to contact customer service failed. The card does seem to run slightly hot. Not for the serious gamer in this system. Would probably work better in a system slightly more advanced than the 530S. Manual does not tell owner how to tweak card. Control panel is difficult to understand.

Rating + 5 JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED

Pros: A little over a year ago I was lazy my friends and instead of builting a spare computer for others in the household to use I opted for a Dell Inspiron 531S. Don't shot me! I didn't plan for it to do to much so it fit the bill and saved some time. Though the on board video was fine for surfing the web I decided it was time for it to work just a little harder and up my Vista Performance Score too--since the builtin video is the lowest rating.

Therefore, I have recently opted for the GeForce 8400GS-- one reason the price an inexpensive upgrade with a considerable performance inscrease and the dedicated half gig of memory. Yes! I could have went up in the series with a 8500GT or slightly better but I did not want to locate a new ATX power supply for this Dell. The GeForce 8400GS was a nice selection overall for this quick low cost upgrade.

Installation was five minutes max . . . the manual said to allow Vista to install drivers so I did . . .

Cons: No cons . . . because the Dell is one of the slim cases I did use the two low profile brackets which came with the PCI-E graphics card. There was some windvd software on CD but I did not use or install. I like the fact the HDTV cabling came with and that there was an adapter to converter RGB to DVI.

Other Thoughts: I can visually see a video improvement over the builtin graphics and because this card has a massive amount of dedicated onboard DDR2 video memory Vista is taking a chunk to offset--my Vista performace score went from a 3.0 to a 4.7-- not bad for saving some cash and not needing to replace the power supply. If I were into heavy gaming this card would not have been a choice but someone who plays a game here and there and frame count is not a major issue this card is a solid purchase. By the way it has a 2 year WTY.
