It works...
Pros: A good card that works well for regular computing, and provides an alright screen resolution.
Cons: If you are looking for a card that will work for gaming look no further, but if you want good resolution and less screen blur look further... a lot further.
Other Thoughts: I bought this card because I was on a budget for my build and I couldn't spend a lot of money on my GPU. I have a PCI-Express x16 version of this and it has worked all the time, but even at max OC this thing doesn't game well. I just ordered a new XFX Radeon HD 5750 which is great for gaming and has the new DX 11 software... If you can spring and extra 40 to 50 bucks it's worth it for the difference in quality you will get.
Manufacturer Response:Dear HIS Customer, Thank you for your purchase and your valuable feedback. Recently we launched the HIS 5750 IceQ+/ iCooler IV, both offer lots of features and benefit as well as performance enhancement and great performance-to-price value. Feel free to check out our product site for more details, in which you will find the benefits and technical specifications in "Overview" and "Specification" section. The "Product Tour" will guide you through the advanced features of ATI Radeon chipset. Feel free to share your reviews with other users in the "Customers Review" section. www.hisdigital.com I hope the information will be useful to you. Please feel free to contact us again if you have further questions. Again, thank you for support on HIS products.

very nice card
Pros: runs cool 52 degrees at idle. really silent thermal controlled fan.can play crysis now at mid to high settings and battlefield 2 with all the settings on high with a 60 fps with this card and a penteum 4 2.0 and 3 gigs of pc133 sdram. if your looking to add new life to your old agp computer till you can upgrade this card is the way to go.ive had this card for 5 months and have not had any problems with it at all.
Cons: Dont run this card without the driver it heats up 100+ without the proper driver.run your old card till you find and download the proper driver.dont use the supplyd driver on the cd that came with it.go to amd (Radeons)websight and download only the agp hotfix thats for your operating system.it includes catalyst control center.right after you install the agp hotfix driver restart your computer and your good to go.dont block the air flow with a big bulky soundcard in the slot right underneath it i did that at first and it brought the temp up 19 degrees more.now after diong all this my vid card runs at 52 degrees with the core overclocked to 860 and the memory overclocked to 1600.in the future if your reformating your os run your old card till your done and put this card in after you have the driver ready to install. the heat will fry your card if you run it to long burning it up without the driver.

2nd card failure
Pros: Feature rich card. This product looked good on paper, and the performance was adequate.
Cons: Overheating problem. This card ran hot from day one. There is a missing chip cooler on the reverse side of the card and that chip gets hot enough to melt plastic. ***Note the photo of the backside of the card, you will see the 'pink' heat tape on the chip with no cooler attached to it.*** That is what happened to the fan unit. It's base is a three legged plastic design that literally deformed due to the high heat and caused the fan to fail, which in turn toasted the card.
Other Thoughts: I have had another card in this PC for two years with no problems but wanted a newer card with more features. This is the 2nd one of these cards I have had that failed. My system is not overclocked (couldn't if I wanted to due to B.I.O.S. limitation) and has a good power supply. My motherboard is compliant with the requirements for this AGP card. I would like to have given this product a zero-egg but one is the lowest selectable unit.
Any manufacturer can have a problem with a product due to a bad component or design, however there is no excuse for a Manufacturer to keep selling a known defective product without making an effort to correct problems with it. Shame on you H.I.S..
NOTE: I have e-mailed H.I.S. for an RMA, and will return with additional feedback about their support process.

Missing Cooler
Pros: Feature rich card that lists specs that outperform many PCI-X cards. Ran hot but worked OK for about a year.
Cons: 1st card failed in 13 months. 2nd card arrived D.O.A. Returned 2nd card and sent 1st card back for factory repair. Runs very hot. Heatsink or cooler missing from back of card. * see 'other thoughts'
Other Thoughts: The original card always ran hot. NOTE: NO OVERCLOCKING There is a chip on the back of the card that has the double sided 'heat tape' that is normally used to attach an aluminum heatsink or small cooler unit, however no cooler is stuck to the tape. This chip gets VERY HOT (will take the skin off of your finger if you touch it), and I'm sure will cause this replacement card to fail. This appears to be a design flaw because the placement of the chip may not allow clearance of the necessary heat dissipating device. Therefore the factory puts the tape on, but no cooler. I have purchased H.I.S. products before and cannot complain about any of them. This is a real let down. H.I.S. (LEXY), if you are listening, contact me about a suggestion to resolve this.

Wroks great
Pros: Works great. The 8.12 hotfix drivers installed easy, no problems in Fallout 3 or World of Warcraft so it covers the low to high end games well and if Fallout 3 runs what else can you ask out of an AGP card...
Cons: Same as all the other AGP versions of this card: no "official" driver support. But again, the hotfix drivers seem to work just fine, at least for me.
Other Thoughts: Had purchased the Powercolor version of this card but RMA'ed it due to a screw up with that cards BIOS it turns out (it was reporting 256MB instead of 512, fix has since been released). No such problem with this card thankfully (and it's clocked faster as well, though it is more expensive).
All in all a good card until you can get a PCI-E card.

good card
Pros: This card was a fantastic upgrade from my mobo's stock graphics processor. runs crysis on medium at 1200x1080 fairly well. Runs all my games besides crysis at max without any hiccups; WoW, Bioshock, and Doom 3 (old but fun).
Cons: None.

I hate to love it, but it works!
Pros: HDMI - REAL HDMI for your HTPC! The price seems great. The DVI adapters are included. It breathed new life into my old PC.
I was able to get the H.I.S. drivers to install off the disk effortlessly, but...
Cons: ... I spent hours trying to get rid of the PowerDVD error message 0110 - "fail to enable HDCP". The only fix I found for it was installing AnyDVD HD. (Yes, I have an HDCP compliant monitor.)
I installed the AGP hotfix (currently 8.10) from http://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=31625 and it REALLY expanded the monitor configuration options, but not quite enough - it's still a must to install these updates!
The card did not like working on my machine with Arcsoft Total Media Theater even though my PC exceeds all of their minimum operating requirements. I monitored CPU usage while trying to watch a Blu-ray (Casino Royale) and it ran at 25% moments before the BSOD, leading me with the impression it's a video driver conflict issue.
Other Thoughts: In the end, I'm happy with this card. Arcsoft TMT doesn't have the features I want in a player, so it's not a loss to me that it won't work on my machine. If TheaterTek played Blu-ray, I'd be set right now!

No problems 4 me
Pros: Card Worked perfectly out of the box. I was prepared 4 a long driver struggle becuse of all of the negative reviews, but it wasnt the case. I installed the cd drivers and worked like a charm.Card's specs are correct 800 gpu 700 memory ddr3. (=1400)
Cons: I bought the card mainly to test if cpu is trully that important for games.I own an Ahlon xp 3200 overclocked at ~2435 mhz(stock 2200).I had a x1650 clocked at 600 gpu 400 ddr2 memory, 12 pixels pipelines and thought it was the cause of my low fps on certain games. The results of my experiment were somehow expected.I found out that on certain games cpu can hold u back while on others not so cpu stressfull the video card can be the problem. When playing a game, game data is loaded into memory where cpu can acces it faster. Then cpu passes all video related calculations to gpu where it is processed and sent to your display.Thats why i had the idea that my low fps had to do with my gpu not my cpu. However, there is much more in a game than just graphics calculations. All from character movements, enemy's AI, physics, animations, path finding ect.In fact there can be a thousand scripts running at same time. All of this using cpu cycles and avoiding cpu's data transmission to the Gpu.
Other Thoughts: I have installed all the drivers i could find. ATi's agp hotfix, the cd drivers, his's web page drivers, all in search of a better performance. All of them installed perfectly and gave me no trouble at all. Also u dont need a 400 w PSU. IT is a common fallacy to think psu affects performance. In fact I seriously doubt that any of the so called "monster video cards "actually consume more than 150 w. If u dont believe me get a little program called local cooling. It has nothing to do with vcards analysis but it has a small feature were it tells u the power ur system is consuming. To your surprise the card was only spending 24 watts/hour my monitor 40w, cpu 65w, hard drives(3) 25w,ect. So the total power my pc was consuming was 165 w/hour, the equivalent of 2 light bulbs. If my psu unit is 300w maximum, u can clearly see i dont need a 400 psu or nothing alike. What it is important is the quality of the psu.

False Hope
Pros: its got alot going for it, especially in the AGP field, if you are expecting to run top of the line games on near highest graphics- go back to the video card search and look at 10.1 cards.
this card is great for everything but high-end
Cons: falls short because it requires its special drivers that come with the CD in order to work Semi-Correctly. ive tried many different things and all the ways people have already said, but anything other than the CD's software will make games very laggy, tear, skip ([both audio and video] so the cards sucking down the computers performance), and so on.
Other Thoughts: dual monitors, pentium 4 3.0 processor, 2 gigs of ram, vista ultimate.
--WARNING-- every game installed is automatically set to the highest setting, as this card SHOULD hold up to the tasks, but do to lack of proper software/drivers/support for it, the in-game result isnt as expected.

More hassel than its worth
Pros: Once running it does work, getting there how ever can be slow. The performance of the card was a lot better than my old ati 1600 so in that sense, yes it was worth it.
To get the card working use either "ati omega" drivers or "agp hotfix drivers" (currently 8.6). The normal drivers from ati will NOT install!
Cons: -Drivers that came with the cd did not work! Yes they do install but it won't let you run any games. To get this card working you must install 3rd party drivers. -Requires at least 400watt power supply! Make sure you check this before you order this or any other gaming card, they are very power hungry.
Other Thoughts: If you really must get a cheap agp graphics card than yes this *might* be for you. Getting the drivers to work is really tough though so be prepared for a few hours of searching. The 3xxx series will also blow this away and is only sligtly more expensive. Again same driver problems on agp though....

Drivers problematic, HDMI not 100%
Pros: DX10 on an AGP board for under 100 bucks. Good performance for the price far as DX10 goes. Overclock decently even with stock cooler, would prolly OC even better with a cooler that spits air out the back instead of right back into the case. Stock cooler is nice and quiet though, can barely hear it once case is closed up.
Cons: Poor performance out-of-the-box on my motherboard (MSI K8N Neo2), Needed tweaking before it ran good. Other DX9 cards out there can beat this thing in price and performance. Official WHQL drivers from ATI site do not recognize this card. Also the HDMI Audio driver does not install properly for me and eats up CPU time for no reason with interrupt request floods. If you get poor performance read my Other Thoughts.
Other Thoughts: When I first got this card I thought something was wrong. I could barely play Doom 3, HL2, even WoW had horrible frame rates at 800x600. I Couldn't even play a movie in WMP smoothly. Turns out the HD Audio driver for the HDMI port (through adapter, and this happens with adapter off) was eating up large amounts of CPU time with interrupt requests (you can use Process Explorer from sysinternals.com to see if this affects you). Go to device manager and change to Devices by Connection view. Expand devices until you find your video card, right under your video card you should see “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio”, something like that. Disable it and you should see that CPU usage drops back to zero. Of course this will prevent the HDMI port from sending audio but at least everything is smooth now. No patches out that I could find yet, maybe it'll get fixed someday >.<

WHY
Pros: Not many, it works but has problem. Same as my ati 1950
Cons: Computer discovers an additional pci device. but, can't find a driver for it. Same problem my ati 1950 had.
Other Thoughts: Cant believe I bought ATI again.

Terrible support for AGP
Pros: Some of the best specs you'll find on an AGP card at a reasonable price.
Cons: ATI no longer supports drivers for these cards with AGP interface. The drivers included with the card caused windows to crash immediately after installation. I tried several alternatives as well as many other supposed fixes to no avail. Others suffering the exact same problems advised me to just try an Nvidia card (what they eventually did), I've instead decided to upgrade to a PCIe supported motherboard.
Other Thoughts: If you manage to get the thing to work, the card won't be so bad. I (like countless others) wasn't that lucky. Go with an Nvidia card or get a motherboard with PCIe - You'll wish you did if you get this card.

Pros: Makes my x1600 pro look weak. Great and quiet. Makes my computer look nicer.
Cons: Very hot on desktop it run at 74c degrees. man thats hot! other than that none
Other Thoughts: I'd like to get a better fan for it cause plainly it really does nothing! well it keeps it from overheating but it doesn't keep it cool.

Pros: Card runs well graphics look really nice and sharp. Supports HD.
Cons: No updated Drivers. Found one update on HIS page but ATI/AMD Dont make a AGP version of the HD 2000 seires. Plus it seems to run better with the orginal drivers.
Other Thoughts: Think card would be really good but due to older motherboard and CPU think it seems to drag it behind some.

Good Upgrade or Replacement
Pros: Excellent performance boost from a Radeon 9800Pro. Good price/performance ratio. Practically double the performance at same resolution with additional detail settings enabled.
Cons: Not really a con, but you have to install the "hotfix" drivers from AMD/ATI; they're not certified by WHQL.
Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a Radeon 9800Pro w/ a failing fan. Everything installed easily and performance is most likely limited by the CPU now. Anything more powerful than this would be overkill for a single core system. System: 3.0GHz P4 N'wood, ASUS P4P800 MB, 2GB CL2 PC3200 Patriot RAM, 2x74GB Raptor HDD (RAID), Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB, ANTEC 650 watt TruePower Trio

Great AGP Card
Pros: The video card has a high amount of memory, 512 MB. The core clock speed is 800 Mhz which is 200 MHz faster than the Nvidia's 9800 series. The Memory speed is fairly quick 1.4 GHz Good. I was able to play Crysis on my 3.2 GHz Dell GX270, on low detail settings (which is really good on crysis standards) at a resolution of 1650X1080. It allows me to play at that resolution max settings on Star Wars BF2 and Halo 2 Vista. Great video card if you want to improve an older computer.
Cons: The drivers are not that good. During the installation of the Audio driver, it failed, and I had to reconfigure it to use my existing one. In gameplay especially on Crysis, some objects may appear deformed. All you have to do is download the newer drivers and the objects should appear normal.
Other Thoughts: It arrived on time, in 3 days. Great service.

so-so HD card for low-end computers
Pros: Native HD resolutions. AGP so it works on old systems
Cons: The card does not offload enough load from the CPU and even on my 2.8 GHz P4, VLC still pins and crashes when I play soething in HD that is not compressed. This could be a result of the rest of the hardware, not the vid card, but since this is about the best AGP system one can buy, the card is a little useless for HD. Only highly compressed HD plays fine, but anything uncompressed or mildly compressed will have problems.
Other Thoughts: It recognizes my 37inch Sharp Aquous properly and fills the TV perfectly. On a CRT, however, you may have problems fitting the image into the screen, and the driver software lacks functionality to deal with this.

Excellent HTPC card
Pros: HDMI output with sound and HDCP. Excellent Blu-Ray playback with full VC-1 hardware decoding. Low cost Blu-Ray player when combined with LITE-ON Blu-ray DVD-ROM Drive Model DH-4O1S-08.
I installed with the supplied driver CD and have had no problems. Windows experience score 5.9. 3DMark06 score doubled that of my old 7600GT.
Cons: AGP but that let me use some old hardware for a low cost HTPC HD Blu-Ray player that can also browse the Web.
Other Thoughts: I was concerned about the other reviews that reported driver issues but my install was smooth and problem free. Great Product!

Get "AGP hotfix" from ATI
Pros: see below
Cons: see below
Other Thoughts: ATI does not support the HD2xxx chipset on AGP any more with the "Windows Hardware Qualified" drivers. Get the hotfix from the ATI site here: http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=31542

The Problem
Pros: Good Card
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Users problems with this and other high power cards is their power supply. Card burns up on you? PSU! Note: There are a LOT of bad Power Supplies out there. There are TWO 1,000watt Power Supplies out that are pieces of trash. NewEgg sells the PC Power & Cooling 750watt Silencer which is EXCELLENT. It WILL run all the newest Video Cards, Memory, Mobo's, Dvd Burners & everything else with NO PROBLEMS! After working with computers in software & hardware since 1979, I can tell you that a LOT of complaints you read are POWER SUPPLY CREATED! I am amazed at how much research & care people put into buying a video card, & then put a piece of junk Power Supply in their computer! 750w Silencer or HIGHER people. The day of 600w or lower & 50 dollar PSU's is OVER!

Avoid, run run run away.
Pros: Powers up and runs. HDMI output works with sound ect.
Cons: Makes an awful sound, even when simply scrolling down a page on a web browser.
Does not display windows XP media center, which was the only reason I purchased the unit.
Other Thoughts: I did not try running any games on it, but given the awful driver situation with these cards and my experience with this card I'd say gaming would be jsut as frustrating. If the drivers actually work I'd say the product would be OK aside from the scary sounds it produced with any load.

No Media Center Support
Pros: None that I've found!
Cons: Bought for muli media center to HDTV. Had better quality with old Radeon 9600! No Media Center support for XP or Vista! Choppy movies! I should have listened to the other reviews! No refund available from New egg! Will never buy here again! Never buy HIS again either!

Great Card
Pros: Great for the price, and this card is amazing for AGP.
Cons: You have to get te hotfix for the drivers but after finding it the card worked like a charm.

fan didnt spin it didnt work
Pros: its a small card easy to put in computer case. would need a better fan and heat sinks on memory soon.
Cons: It didn't work out of the box and right out of the box I smelled a heavy burnt plastic smell. I got my family to smell it as well and they all had that 'oh no not another repackaged dead video card'. this makes about number 7 I've gotten in past 6 years burnt before i got it from various online places.
Other Thoughts: Thanks to the new power supply blowing out my 2 brand new sata drives and motherboard at the same time theres no way i can return this.

Don't waste your time or money
Pros: Decent Price.
Cons: No driver support from ATI. Searched internet and finally found a driver that would work with DirectX. Not from ATI or HIS. Still not working as should.

couldn't make it work
Pros: Seems like CPR for an aging AGP rig on the outside. Much faster than my old 6600 (non GT) card. Newegg is awesome, allowing me to RMA this product for a refund!
Cons: I should have listened to the other reviewers. I tried using the drivers on the disk, the updated HIS drivers, and the 8.1 hotfix drivers, but nothing worked right. The VPU reset would kick in often (just surfing the net) and I couldn't get the graphics to work right in Company of Heroes. It ran hot, so I opened the case and it cooled down 10 degrees, but that didn't help. Maybe my TT 420 PS didn't have the power to run it right, but I really don't think that's the case.
Other Thoughts: As many have said, ATI needs to make some drivers that work with AGP or stop selling AGP cards altogether.

Don't get this card.
Pros: It's performance on non DX10 games is excellent.
Cons: Runs hot. Terrible driver support. 22 hours of teching with two advanced users could not allow me to run DX10 games without an odd flickering effect. The official tech support attempts also failed entirely.
Other Thoughts: I suppose if you're not running Vista and you don't want to utilize it's DX10 "capabilities" and you have one of the latest AGP mainboards it might be a decent card. However, I'd still suggest that you get another card. This card has been nothing but a headache for me.

excellent product
Pros: card installed with no problems. Didn't need the drivers off the CD. Went to ATI(AMD's) website and got the latest. < 5 minutes to set up everything.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: Manufacturer's site doesn't have the drivers for this particular model, but you can get them off of ATI's. Also don't know if it's compatible with Vista, because the Vista logo on the box was taped out with a black sticker. The box advertises that it is. Not a Vista fan, so don't care, but if I ever upgrade, I hope it works.

HID Radeon 2600
Pros: It has all the graphic capabilities as advertised.
Cons: HIS provides extremely poor support for their products and the updated drivers from ATI do not appear to work with this card. I’ve had a conflict with Digital Rights Management on my system since installing this device and some discussion threads point to a conflict with the ATI catalyst drivers.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend saving your money for a new mainboard that supports PCIe rather than attempting to update an older system with a powerful AGP card such as this one.

Don't buy this.
Pros: Plays everything at high settings..
Cons: Until your computer randomly reboots. With the drivers that came with the card (Get used to them, ATI hasn't made any that are compatible for AGP cards recently.), you're going to be using very, very, dated drivers. If you update the drivers, you give up Direct 3d. Almost all games require this to play. World of warcraft and Age of Empires 3 failed to play. I Paid 250$ for this card at best buy, will be returning it in a couple days. And I only got 4-5 more FPS from this card than my Radeon 9800 256. It also ran hot.
Other Thoughts: Stay far away from this one.

Great Video Card for the price.
Pros: Such a great video card on the AGP architecture. Powers my new Dell 22" widescreen display flawlessly. Others have noted problems with ATI drivers not working... I am running XP SP2 fully updated and simply downloaded the latest driver set from the HIS mainpage.
Cons: None so far...............
Other Thoughts: great rebate currently.

Hot card!
Pros: Graphics look great, everything runs smooth so far and it was easy to install. Drivers on the CD it came with worked just fine for Windows XP, not sure about Vista.
Cons: This card gets hot if you don't space your cards in your PC! The fan looks fairly cheap and needs room to breath, cannot place a card next to it or it burns up. Spend that little extra to get this same card with what looks to be a better cooling system if you want no problems.
Other Thoughts: Worth the money if you can keep it cool.
