Pros: I have 2 of these together in crossfire-x and they run great.
Cons: They get very hot under load, but more than likely a case issue. (Taking off the side of the case drops GPU temps by over 10c)

To WOW just Wow
Pros: HD3870 GPU, Decnet GDDR memory
Cons: Copper painted Heatsink fan not nearly as effective as either an unpainted aluminum or copper part. This is truly SHAME FULL by HIS and of course their terrible 1 year warranty. -----------------------------------------------------
WOW just Wow, i understand how frustrated U R, but U say U have all this experience w/ other cards, then how is it U don't know that the memory is DDR which means DOUBLE DATA RATE.... meaning 1200Mhz is effective 2400Mhz. Its NO DIFFERENT as the Sapphire HD3870 & 8800GTX, they also have cards GDDR3 / GDDR4 speeds around 1000mhz /2.0Ghz effective. The HD3870's GDDR4 goes a bit faster but both need to be doubled to get the effective rate that they post in the specs. 1200 x 2 = 2400mhz memory..... NO ISSUE THERE!
Other Thoughts: U R correct in the HIS issues with the Painted heatsink not being nearly effective. This is a disgusting thing for HIS to do as in ALL pictures it looks like its true copper. They should have removed the paint & run straight AL it would have improved cooling. 832 Mhz is not too bad for these cards.
Without having my hands on your card its hard to know what the real issues are as the HD3870 does run very hot under load, but to get more from the Core clock you may need to use a BIOS editor & increase the VOLTAGE in 3D high Mode. Try reducing core clock speed!! Yes, they do say 850Mhz.... but if it won't do it...? & U don't raise voltage with a pencil mod or in a BIOS editor than you are stuck.
Regarding the 18Mhz missing on the Core clock....laughed out of court you will be. If you keep the card after warranty which you will have spent more time with them having your card...i'd remove the paint & turn the core clock down to 800mhz U'll solve your problems!!! Sorry.

WOW.....JUST WOW
Pros: WHen working, I got almost 20,000 in #dmark06 with 2 in Crossfire
Cons: These cards do not run at advertised speeds. When I boot these cards up and run them for either benchmarks or gaming applications and monitor and record their speeds, even under the most extreme load their core clocks never exceed 835 and their Memory Clocks never exceed 1200 mhz (1.2 Ghz). So, basically, they run at 1/2 of the advertised memory clock speed.
They are incredibly unstable cards. Even with fans engaged at 100%, they overheat very quickly. Random freezes, crashes, corruption, GPU failure, artifacting, etc. are common.
HIS HAS NO REPRESENTATIVES OR CONTACTS IN THE USA....ONLY IN CHINA. NO PHONE # FOR SUPPORT. YOU HAVE TO COMMUNICATE BY EMAIL WITH A THIRD PARTY INSURANCE COMPANY CALLED 'LEXY PACIFIC'....AND THEY ARE INCOMPETENT.
Other Thoughts: Read my other 2 reviews. After RMAing 2 of these, being refused reimbursement of return shipping, I waited 7 weeks to get them back. When I got them back, basically same issues still present.
I have tested them against a Sapphire 3870x2 and an Nvidia 8800GTX. Both of those other cards run great with minimal to no issues.
Contacted HIS a second time. They refused to respond to 4 different emails. Finally got someone, who basically told me that they'd already RMAed 2 cards, and that they don't believe that I'm telling the truth and that they're not going to help me.
I am going through my product replacement program to replace these cards. I have also contacted an attorney and am escalating this to a legal issue. These cards have known issues, and, according to my attorney, this company is in violation of several federal laws. There is going to be a class action suit very soon, for all of us who have been totally shafted by this company.

video card
Pros: I have no pros on this HIS 3870 512 rlt hd card...
Cons: I have had 2 of the same HIS 3870 video cards and have trouble with both. The first one would shut down my computer in the middle of games and restart.I sent it back for new one .The second one did same thing and had message,VPU recover has reset your graphic accelator as it was na longer responding to graphic driver command.I would be carful of this HIS 3870

Pros: I purchased 4 of these cards 3 months ago. Right away I water cooled them, and hit a stable Crossfire x OC of 860/1250. With my QX9770 running @ 3.8 Ghz I can score 29,000 3dmarks! So I got bored and decided to volt mod the 3870s. I now run a stable OC of 1054/1290. These cards FLY!
Cons: If you have 4 running in crossfire x, and OCed pretty high, you will be limited by your proc. Even my QX9770 @ 5.2ghz is choking up the cards. It sucks that a 5ghz quad will hold me back, but what can I do!
Other Thoughts: To really see what one card can do, I ran a single card OCed to 1147/1286 with the QX9770@ 5.2ghz. I scored 18,384 in 3dmark06. These cards can take some crazy OCs with a volt mod, its not hard, and it works great! I have been able to run the cards as high as 1.87volts(1.33stock) I run a 24/7 OC of 1054/1289 with 1.43 volts on the core. With water the temps stay in the low 40s and never worries me :) ENJOY!!

Got new Cards from RMA and They Dont Work EITHER!!!!
Pros: None that I can see. This review is a follow up to my previous review, so go read that one first, then come back here.
Cons: These cards are buggy, they do not run at advertised speeds, HIS customer support is TERRIBLE, the cards overheat quickly. Even stock out of the box there is ghosting and these weird light glare flashes. I have been through 4 of these cards now, and they have all failed.
Other Thoughts: So, I sent back 2 of these because of an overheating issue (they were both fried), and after 5 WEEKS, get two new cards from HIS. So, I hook the cards up individually, test them (3dMark06), then hook them up in crossfire, test them, and all is good. Well, immediately upon starting to run games I'm noticing these weird artifacts, etc. Then, the cards basically freeze, causing lockup and requiring hard reboot. I can run with a Geforce 8800 or an Sapphire x2 all day, but when I go back to these cards, it's problem city. THANK GOODNESS I BOUGHT THE insurance through NewEgg. I am now going to try to get new cards from a different manufacturer.

Pros: So far it's been able to handle anything I've thrown at it. The price is great. Doesn't run as hot as others have claimed. Linux drivers.
Cons: Even though I haven't had any problems with heat I still think that they should have pre-set a higher fan speed. It did run a little warm at first but since it's been running great.
Other Thoughts: This isn't the GX2 competitor and it's not a 400+ dollar card so I think some peoples expectations aren't fair. For a sub 200 dollar card with a mail-in rebate you can get two of these and still save money vs. some others with a single card. The price is set right and for me thus far I can play all my games maxed out with very decent to high frame rates. I do a lot of Photo editing and POV Ray and one of these is awesome, two would be amazing. It's been a great buy for me so far!!

Poor HIS
Pros: Good idea very very poor execution. Ineffectively overclocked 850mhz. Declock it as soon as you get the chance with revatuner to 775mhz also apply 100% fan load with it.
Cons: Questionable heatsink material its painted 100%. How do i know? Well i took it off and cut a pease off of it. The fins of heatsink are not molded into a base, doesnt allow smoothe heat conduction. Go with the alternative. I ordered vf 1000. At 775mhz 100% fan speed the ccc shows 44c idle. Ridiculous.
Other Thoughts: I love the desighn but its a no go. I do not recomend you to buy this particular brand. Im waiting on vf 1000 so i can drop temperature and clock it back a notch. Otherwise with the other heatsink and appropriate overclock this card for a lack of a better word perfect. At 850mz and 1170 ram 3dmark06 graphycs test on 1280 by 768 resolution this card gives 5200 and change score. Preety nice.

overall happy with performance
Pros: plays crysis great, all the important stuff is on high the rest medium at 30-35 fps. great upgrade from an x1650, which struggled to get 30fps on all low while overclocking the holygrail out of it. Once I water cool this beast overclocking this thing might be pretty interesting. And 4 in xfire *salivates* mmmmm.....
Cons: If I turn aa on at all crysis game crashes, the crysis hotfix on the amd site helps this alot, but it still gives me a "VPU reset" message and says the hardware quite responding to the drivers. It runs at 55C with %100 load so I don't think it's overheating
Other Thoughts: If you don't want the card to fry then you HAVE to set fan speed up. People say this card is like a vaccuum with fan at %100 but I can't even hear it unless it's up all the way and its barely audible even then. I don't like how I had to try a bunch of drivers and settings to get it working right... whatever happened to plugging it in putting the cd in and the product working right? seems like you gotta' tweak all this new stuff too much

Pros: Not many. I suppose the factory overclock would be nice if the fan worked, but you can buy this same card at standard clock speeds (save $25-$50) and overclock it yourself.
Cons: Being a long time NVIDIA user, I'm rather displeased with the experience I've had with this card. I actually have 2 in CrossFire and the image quality is bad compared to most NVIDIA cards (enabling 'wait for vertical blank' and triple buffering helps some); there's also definitely a problem with them overheating and therefore VPU errors due to the fan only running at minimum speed all the time like others have stated.
Other Thoughts: I'm considering a 9800 GX2 instead. I only tried CrossFire because it was cheaper and my motherboard (P5E3 Premium) doesn't support SLI.

Ouch
Pros: For the most part, this card was very easy to install, and I would recomend anyone to use the HIS drivers as the ATI updated versions will not let you overclock this card and it will remain at its defualt. Overall I was happy with this card, and my games looked great at 1400x900 however I found the fatal fan flaw to late and I belive this is what mad this card go down. Luckily newegg saved me by shipping out a replacement for me do to many complaints, and not being able to get in contact with the manufacter aftet numerous attempts.
Cons: If you do buy this card, please run a fan program and increase the speed to 100 percent, it will be loud, however you wont run into what I did. Also good luck contacting the manufactuer as they are based in China, and don't respond to emails accordingly. I would suggest New Eggs warranty for sure on this card.
Other Thoughts: With all the New Cards coming up its a hard thing to stay current and really get the benfit of all this GPU power. You could go the X2 way, however I dont see the benefit if you dont have the monitor to support it. I ran all games, except crisis on high and they looked great. have always bought ATI, but my next card though will be an Nvidia, though do to ATI slacking.

Second card is fine !!
Pros: This is the second one of these cards I received. First one crashed after 2 minutes of gaming. This card works absolutely fabulous. I can play any of the new games out there at full settings for HOURS without an issue. I haven't had to increase the fan speed as others have. I wish HIS would get their quality control straightened out.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Think I am gonna buy 2 more of these to use in my new Spider platform setup I am building. THAT would be sick :)

Nice and Running
Pros: The card is perfect for current gaming requirements without breaking your wallet at all. gddr4 ram and 55nm technology gives this a great power to handle games at respectable and a little more than that frames per second. will buy another soon.
Cons: it over heats which a lot of people are experiencing , but its due to the low fan speed which comes default , can be easily fixed. see other thoughts.
Other Thoughts: The fan runs slow , to correct that please download (R I V A T U N E R) latest version and put fan to 100% fixed in it , the fan is super silent at max speeds and the card will never crash on u again ........ the cooling works good once the fan speed is increased =).

Quite Happy
Pros: I received this card yesterday, and I could not be happier! It is taking everything I throw at it and asking for more. Crysis, WoW, CoH, Witcher, Jericho, CoD4, FEAR, STALKER, etc etc etc all run smoothly at 1680x1050 4xAA 16xAF with no hiccups or glitches of any sort. Upgraded from a 512 MB Radeon X1800XT and it is a world of difference!
Cons: Hmm.... none thusfar
Other Thoughts: Newegg is now and will always be my source for components

HIS sucks
Pros: almost unstoppable video card, when it runs right, runs crysis on ultra high at 18-22 fps.too bad thats the only thing good i have to say about this card.
Cons: HIS,u better take this to heart.i will never, ever, ever, ever, buy a video card from you again.there is a design issue with the pcb board.as the commenter b4 mention,it randomly fails and all u see is spots and blocks. HIS....get your S H IIIII T E together
Other Thoughts: for all u ATI freaks out there for the love of the man upstairs,do not buy an HIS vid card.visiontek and sapphire are the way to go.nice job with the shipping as well new egg

Pros: um none. I would give an answer to this if I could play WoW 5 seconds before crashing.
Cons: Constant VPU recovery playing World of Warcraft
Other Thoughts: Never again will I buy an HIS product. ATI will be very lucky if I ever buy anything with one of their GPUs in it. Guess I'm an Nvidia guy now.

Good Card but w/ KNOWN Defective Fan / BIOS Issue
Pros: Good, fast, card. Almost as good as 8800GTX but cheaper. ATI Catalyst drivers 8.2 and 8.3 are solid. Nice looking in your case, and the fluorescent reactivity on the card case is very cool.
Heatsink / Fan design is very good....on the models where it works (see below).
Cons: These cards have a known fan / BIOS issue that has affected about 40% of the cards shipped out. What happens is that the card's fan doesn't cycle up. It starts out at 25% speed (stock), but as the card comes under load or the heat in the case builds, the card's fan stays at 25%. The heat in the card builds and builds until GPU failure. Eventually, the card gets fried from overheating. This is what I found out after communicating with HIS about my cards which constantly overheated and failed.
HIS has NO OFFICES IN THE USA. They also have no contact telephone # in the USA. You have to fill out a form on their website and then wait for an email from a THIRD PARTY INSURANCE COMPANY. They refuse to pay for return shipping, eve though I was told flat out that "these cards are known to have overheating issues due to a flaw in the BIOS".
I will not do business with this company again. This was the first time buying from them and the experience has been TERRIBLE.
Other Thoughts: My system: Asus Maximus Extreme, Q9650, 2gigs Corsair Dominator PC1800 DDR3 RAM, X-FI Extreme Gamer Fatality, Thermaltake 1000W PSU...all from NewEgg.
I bought 2 of these to go into a new build. 1 is totally fried and the other is unusable....now I have to wait for them to get it together and ship them back. I've been waiting for 2 weeks since I shipped them (UPS 3day), and I still don't have any word on when I'm going to have my cards back.
I'd say go with a company that has USA tech support and a telephone #, and better customer service track record. HIS has failed in virtually every phase of this process for me.

I DONT KNOW YET
Pros: GREAT CARD WHEN IT IS WORKING!
Cons: MY SCREEN TOTALLY GOES NUTTS RANDOMLY. NO SPECIFIC REASON OR TIME THAT IT DOES THIS. IM NOT OVER CLOCKING . AND IT JUST GOES INTO ALOT OF LITTLE CHECKERD BLOCKS ALL OVER THE SCREEN.DURRING GAMES AND WHEN IT IS JUST SITTING AT IDLE WITH NOTHING GOING ON. CARD ASIDE....I WASNT REALLY HAPPY WITH THE WAY MY SHIPPING WAS HANDLE THROUGH NEWWEGG. I PAID FOR NEXT DAY SHIPPING ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT, FIGURED I WOULD GET THE CARD AT LEAST ON FRIDAY. BUT I DID NOT GET THE CARD UNTILL THE FOLLOWING MONDAY
Other Thoughts: I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH SOME SOFTWARE ISSUES IS WHY I HAVE NOT YET TRIED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEVIDEO CARD. I HAVE UPGRADED IT TO THE NEWEST DRIVERS. WHICH SHOW IT AS ONLY BEING A 3800 SERIES. WITH THE DRIVERS IT CAME WITH ON THE CD, IT SHOWS THAT IT IS A 3870. SO I DONT REALLY GET THAT, BUT IT DOESNT CRASH AS OFTEN WITH THE 8.2 DRIVERS FROM THE CARD MAN. WEBSITE.

Nice concept, poor execution
Pros: Decently fast, HDMI connection ability is very nice. Nice looking video card. Image quality is very good, not sure if it's better than Nvidia though. Fast Newegg shipping as well.
Cons: HIS overclocks these at the factory, and has been mentioned a few times you have to use Riva Tuner to underclock the card and set the fan speed to 63%. When playing games VPU recover would come on constantly, when I disabled VPU recovery the card would lock up almost every time I played a game. Having to use a third party program to "fix" the card from the factory is outrageous and very stupid. ATI drivers are no where near as good as Nvidia.
Other Thoughts: Hassle not worth it, I traded my 8800GTS for this card hoping to have equal or better speed and better image quality. Now I wish I could take my 8800GTS. I have always been an ATI fan, but this product is very disappointing to me. You must take off factory overclocking or you will most likely have major problems. I keep my case clean, my case is a Thermaltake Soprano with a side fan, and never had a problem until I switched video cards. Seems to work better with Vista than it does with XP, but Vista sucks for gaming.

Looks good in pairs
Pros: I thought i had a problem with the cards for a while when the Jericho would crash but it turns out that the temps were getting a little to high and it would hang, put a fan on the side panel and it runs fine.
Cons: Wish they had a better response from the customer service i waited 1 week for a response about these cards before i bought them and recieved not one email. Not looking forward to a problem with RMA if i need one.
Other Thoughts: ASUS maximus Formula, E6550 2.33 OCed to 3.2(waiting for the Q9450), Zalman 9700LED, 4Gb PC1066 OCed to 1095, 2X 3870, 10K Raptor 150, 2X 500Gb Seagate SATA, Plextor SATA burner, Antec850 quattro, all in a Antec 900 gamer case.

Pros: HIS product, looks nice, IceQ3 cooler quiet at stock settings.
Cons: Every game crashed! Had to use RTuner 2.7 to back OC to 835 core/1159 memory & set fan up to 63% (still quite, anything more is annoying). Gave it a poor rating because you pay a premiuim for the factory OC, next time will do it myself & not be disappointed at the money spent.
Other Thoughts: I still have faith in HIS, they just need to do more R&D if they are going to put out a stable OC'd product. Crysis mostly high settings & NFSPS high settings, UT3 high settings all with AA on.

Bang for buck
Pros: Excellent card. Running at 877 core and 1240 memory at 58*C under load. High settings at 1280x1024 and 4x AA for bf2 and CS:S is flawless.
Cons: Normal ATI driver issues. Big card. Make sure to use Driver Cleaner Pro prior to installation. Especially if your previous card was an ATI card. HIS software bundle was a joke. I used the catalyst software suite 8.2. Riva tuner is necessary to up the fan speeds. I have mine set at 65% at all times. Dropped idle temps 10* C.
Other Thoughts: Runnning with a water cooled p4 650 @ 4.20, 800 watt PSU, 2048mb of OCZ Gold DDR2, 2x 74 gb 10,000 rpm raptors.

Not so good
Pros: Hahaha, cool design and thats about it.
Cons: This thing wouldnt last on 90% of my games: WoW-crashed, WiC-crashed, CoD's-crashed, CoH-crashed, BF2-plays fine. With WiC, I dropped ALL graphics settings to low and it plays fine. I adjust pixel setting to medium and freaking fan jumped to 100% useage and crashed. I took out of case and thing was still SOOOOO HOT after time it takes to disconnect everything and open case and remove card, bout 5 min. RMA this card and getting another. if fails, going elsewhere.
Other Thoughts: 700W PSU, Abit IX38 Quad GT, 2G-GSkill DDR2 800MHZ, 3.0GHZ OC to 3.5GHZ E6850 CPU

KNOWN ISSUES / BUGGY CARD
Pros: Good engine and solid design. Excellent cooling system design.
Cons: THESE CARDS HAVE KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE FAN-SPEED REGULATOR. Bought 2 of these cards to run in Crossfire. Terrible issues with HIS drivers even after clean re-install. Main problem is that many of these cards' fans never cycle above 25% stock.Something in the BIOS is missing because driver changes do not fix.Card starts out booting up fine. But, as the card comes under load, the fan stays at 25% and the card's heat climbs. When the card gets too hot, it fails.Total VPU failure to black screen and then Mobo kicks in to re-boot.
Many owners of these cards have reported this issue, and not just in HIS (ASUS and Sapphire also).
Other Thoughts: This problem CAN be adjusted with 3rd party software (Riva Tuner, etc.) However, if you've already overheated the card several times not knowing what's up, then the card may already be damaged. However, in using 3rd party software to change fan speed, you void warranty. 1 card is fried, and the other is okay if fan speed is at 100%. HIS customer support sucks, and getting an RMA is tedious.
So, I spent almost $600 for 2 cards, neither of which have working fan speed regulators and 1 of which is fried and needs total replacement and the other that requires manual fan control with 3rd party software.
Nice going, ATI and HIS. Ugh!

Not again
Pros: It's very quiet, uses less power and runs fairly cool. Great looking card and nifty multi-purpose tool included with the card.
Cons: Where to start...I installed this card into my mobo's master PCI-E slot and connected to another older HIS HD 3870 for Crossfire. I started up my system and it crashed the video driver right away and it recovered on its own. I rebooted my system and my display went crazy with all kinds of lines on my display even doing so during post. I tried it as a single card and it just gave me fits even after updating to the newest Catylst drivers.
Other Thoughts: I've always had pretty good results with HIS product until now. This is the second HIS HD 3870 I've had to go the RMA route with. The last one was paired with an identical HIS HD 3870 but wasn't an IceQ3 and I had to return it twice only the second time I ended up with a refund because the first version of the card was no longer available. I still wanted to run Crossfire so I purchased this card thinking it would do the trick. I was wrong, we'll see what happens when I get the replacement.

Pros: I cant find any
Cons: Where to begin. This is the second HIS card that I have bought the first one was a differnt model and lasted all of 10 hours before it died. Recieved this one from newegg and all the sudden it started having problem. If the card gets past 60C then the driver will stop responding and then recover. Contacted HIS and their customer support is non existent. They dont have an 800 number to call and it would have to go to somewhere for bios reprograming which I did without success. I can get the card to work but it hangs up in WOW allot. So far I have had allot of bad luck with HIS and will not ever buy their cards again. I probally wont go with ATI ever again either.
Other Thoughts: Running a spider configuration ASUS MOBO, ASUS chipset and ATI video card. This thing should work just fine. Oh yeah I think some of the problem is related to VISTA. Someone should sue Microsoft for screwing VISTA up this bad.

Extremely Quiet even under load
Pros: I bought this specifically because it is supposed to be quiet and fast. I was actually surprised how quiet it is. Forcing faster fan speeds has little affect on the noise level to at least 50%.
This is the overclocked version of the card and does not underclock with the standard drivers to default speeds.
Cons: Fan speed HAS to be adjusted through 3rd party tools. It's only a problem if you want to adjust the fan speeds though.
Other Thoughts: I'm still so pleased with the purchase of this card. It runs faster than standard HD 3870s so look up reviews for info on framerates. The lack of sound from it is most impressive.

IDK
Pros: Well, where do I start. It installed fine w/out a hitch, but when it comes to gaming, thing shuts off 30sec into game. IDK, but will be updating drivers for this card, even though they are pretty darn new: 1/08/08

A good board, with so-so support.
Pros: Vista support, compatibility with the ASUS P5E, and high clock speeds appealed to me with this board. It really shows, too. Battlefield 2142 runs flawlessly and smoothly, as does ET:QW. The huge fan assembly and heat sinks keep it all running cool in the meantime. No need to mod your card.
Cons: The foremost issue that anyone has every had with ATI cards since 2000 still plagues ATI boards to this day. I'm talking, of course, about the drivers. Unless ATI has their stamp on it, certain effects just won't display properly. For example, in Tabula Rasa, dynamic lighting just doesn't work on an ATI card. Catalyst is in version 7.11 now and there's no support for dynamic lighting?
Other Thoughts: Don't let my one con steer you away from buying this card. The reasons I bought this card were for compatibility with the ASUS P5E, clock/core speed, along with the biggest bang for buck. I'm quite happy with it and I'm used to dealing with ATI's awful driver support. Just remember to turn off some of the AI settings in Catalyst Control Center and let your game tweak the settings. There's also a standalone driver that excludes CCC which I'm wishing I stuck with. I'm hoping that the new Omegadrivers for Vista come out soon since I find I have fewer problems with them.

AWESOME
Pros: This card is a BEAST. So far, it has run everything I have thrown at it and keeps askin for more.
Cons: none so far. Not a con, but you'll need amble room cuz this card is HUGE. Almost as long as the mobo itself.
Other Thoughts: Used ATI Tray Tools and scored a 17355, which is pretty good. 3Dbenchmark had roughly 35-40FPS and scored a 9265. I sure my CPU was what brought it down. My Rig: Core 2 Duo E6850, 2Gig DDR2 800 MHZ, Abit IX38 mobo, 700W Zion PSU, 2 HD, 250G Samsung (main) and 80G Hitachi for my games. Next upgrade will be me CPU. Looking into Core 2 Quad.

yeah, get one or two
Pros: handles everything i throw at it, delivery was fast, would recommend this card to anyone who likes to play anything
Cons: none so far, running 7.12's instead of updated on ati site
Other Thoughts: price will probably drop with the 3870 X2's out now that i bought this one but it is def worth it

Hope the RMA'd Card Works
Pros: Installed this card, Played Bioshock for about 2 minutes in DX10, then computer crashed. Checked everything, card was too hot to touch. Something definitely wrong with the card. Fan was running, card just died.
Cons: Hope when the RMA'd card gets too me there is no problem with the new one.
Other Thoughts: As far as I am concerned, if a manufacturer of video card such as HIS puts out a card such as this, it should be able to be installed into my computer, and work without having to resort to using another program to tune the darn fan. I put my old X1950GT card back in till I get the new card. Better work or I'll be dfwefu9hh aodnponvevnpv !!!!!!

Great Card
Pros: Very quiet, installed like a dream. No issues so far. Worked perfect right out of the box. Running at specs, no special settings. Got 11,400 of 3DMark 06, with one card.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Can't wait to get another card and run CrossFire. Computer Specs: Antec Nine-Hundred Case,Intel E6850, Zalman 9700 Cooler, 3GB Crucial Ballistix, 750 Watt Cooler Master Power Supply, Asus Maximus Formual, Windows XP Pro.

Seriously nice card
Pros: very nice hard in general, shiny HIS sticker, convenient screwdriver/light is perfect for 1st time builders!
IceQ3 cooler is very efficient, composed of decent components and keeps GPU several degrees cooler than stock. I have used ATi Overdrive and pumped it up to 900Mhz Core and 2800mhz Memory and applied Tuniq TX-2 to GPU. used R.i.v.a.t.u.n.e.r to put fan to 100% and GPU stays at about 52C load at OC.
Cons: for all of you who say this thing is quiet, are only running this thing at 25% fan speed. get R.i.v.a.t.u.n.e.r and set it to 100% and it will probably be the loudest thing in your case its so loud. but the performance gains lets me deal with the noise.
my screwdriver also broke while tightening screws..... shame, i liked it alot
Other Thoughts: if you are thinking of removing the thermal pads from the RAM and the voltage regulators, DON'T! i did that and found out the hard way that there are huge gaps between the heatsinks and chips that these pads fill in. unless you have better thermal pads, dont try taking them off unless you wanna go digging in the trash for them later like i did..... System: CM Stacker 832, ASUS Maximus Formula 4GB Transcend DDR2 1200mhz, e6550 @ 3.5GHz, Dual Seagate 7200.11 in RAID 0, this card = 13K in 3DMark 06

Very Nice
Pros: Super quiet and stable. Fast card, already OC'ed, without the usual noise & heat issues associated with high performance. The "better than" OEM cooling solution does the trick.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I RMA'd my MSI RX3870 "blow dryer" and bought this card to replace it. It's like night and day as far as noise levels go. Since the card comes overclocked already, there doesn't seem to be much room for any more tweaking, but that's fine with me as the card totaly satisfies in every game I've played. Not to mention great looking video playback. (hint: use vector adaptive de-interlacing in the CCC settings)

Great video card
Pros: This card is awesome, it runs everything you throw at it, if you are in the market for a new video card, put down the money and get it, you won't be dissapointed
Cons: When playing high intensity 3D games like crysis or need for speed, you have to increase the fan speed with a program like riva, the gpu gets very hot.
Other Thoughts: my system is an AMD 6400 with 8GB ram, 500GB HD and Asus M2N-E SLI Mobo

Good...but...
Pros: Fast...improved FPS over my 2900 PRO. Quieter and runs cooler than 2900 PRO. These features were my goal.
Cons: First one caught fire ON the card and ruined my Gigabyte mobo (luckily, it only ruined the PCIe x16 slot). HIS support was only concerned about getting the burnt card...not my mobo.
Other Thoughts: Purchased elsewhere before newegg had it. Burnt card was RMAed. Once I told HIS support I RMAed the card back to the site I purchased from, no more e-mail. I think they should have compensated for my mobo...but I would have been surprised if they did; thus, only 4 eggs and no more HIS products for me.

Excellent Card
Pros: This card is really fast and was a perfect fit for my Shuttle SP35P2. This card is also ridiculously quiet. When I first started up the computer I couldn't even tell if the fan was running.
Cons: none

excellant
Pros: This card is THEE way to go. If you want an inexpensive way to play all games on ALL high settings, get this card. Run bioshock, cod4, bf2142, on all high.
Cons: absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: Some games like crysis require a good processor and plenty of ram to play on all high. So dont blame the card if u cant play on all high.

Epic Card
Pros: Came with all the accoutrement's that you'd need. Installed nicely and i haven't had a problem with it, only with Crysis prior to the 1.1 patch.
Cons: nones

Pros: Runs 3dmark06 at 10,500. I can run Crysis at 1280x1024 with med and high settings for short times. Frame rates in 40’s. Runs everything by Crysis ok. See con's.
Cons: Lots of tearing at high setting in Crysis. Frame rates seem ok. Seems to overheat at default speeds, 70*c. Once it is left under load for a few minutes, I get a reset GPU window and Cysis shuts down. Note, on another review it was stated he achieved 837 core, the card comes 850 core and 1190 mem default settings! Lowered clock to 800core, helps, a lot less tearing and don’t get the rest GPU screen. “I never hear fan spool up” , suspect that is the problem. Contacted and waiting on response from HIS.
Other Thoughts: My system: Asus Maximus Formula, Core 2 duo 6750, 2x1 gig Ballistic 1066, HIS 3750 IceQ3, BFG 850 PS, all @ stock speeds at this time.

Pros: I got this card to replace my 1900xtx ati card - This card is so quite I had to check it to make sure the fan was spinning. It seems to play Doom3/Quake4 and some other games faster.
Cons: Only con is eq2 performance is on par with my old x1900xtx card. =\

Awesome Card
Pros: Nice pre-overclock, runs cool and gets very good performance.
Cons: None that I can see so far.
Other Thoughts: I got this as an upgrade from my x1950 xtx, which wasn't a bad card by any means but it was starting to get old with the newer games that are coming out. Also I've been having this weird text issue in Firefox since I upgraded to this card. Nothing major just that some of the links come up as red or blue with orange underlines and that some text on websites come out as a different color than what they should be. Other than that this card gets very good fps in game. I will be picking up a second one in the future for Crossfire.

Great card!
Pros: Awesomely powerfull. Runs everything I have at the highest settings with NO slowdown.
Cons: The fan is too quiet and I thought it was broke at first.
Other Thoughts: It is well worth the money. This outperforms my friends 8800gtx by FAR! and we have very similar systems.

Great Card..
Pros: VERY quiet even under load. Using ATITool to load the card it gets to 73C around 65% fan duty cycle and I still can't hear the fan. 850Mhz Core too..
Cons: The exhaust outlet on the shroud doesn't completely line up with the slot cover. Doesn't seem to hurt performance though.

IceQ 3 "Turbo"
Pros: This Card is the Real Deal! I'm sittin' cool and quiet at 837MHz Core and 1188MHz Memory out of the Box! My idle temp is 49C. The Blue PCB matches my Blue IP35 Motherboard. The HIS Screwdriver/Level/Flashlight Combo is the CAKE!!!
Cons: None What So Ever.
Other Thoughts: I was getting the QS version of this Card at 777MHz. I decided to go for the Turbo and I'm Glad I Did.

pretty nice
Pros: so far so good...i have only tested call of duty 4 with this and it runs great will max settings and 1280x1024 res. i got this primarily because of the high GPU freq. and because of price
Cons: none yet
Other Thoughts: system specs: q6700, intel board, HIS 3870, 2gb corsair xms2 ddr2-800, 2x320 sata drive stripped (both are 16mb cache)
