Disappointment
Pros: It works with a USB mouse to PS/2 adapter - ???????????
Cons: It does not work with a USB keyboard to PS/2 adapter.
Other Thoughts: So-called dapters for USB KBs to PS/2 adapters = ripoff!
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for choosing IOGEAR sorry about your experience. If you have a USB keyboard and mouse, I would suggest you to use our GCS632U that’s a pure USB KVM with hotkey switching. That would save you from the trouble of using those USB to PS/2 adapters that don’t work all the time. I have attached the GCS632U newegg link for your reference. If you have any further question, please feel free to contact our tech support at 1(886)946-4327 and we would be glad to assist you. Once again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Whoo hoo
Pros: Easy to use just plug your Keyboard-Monitor-Mouse to this device and you can split up between 2 computers
Cons: Unattractive and cumbersome cord clutters up under your work area.
Other Thoughts: Great price for the value it provides.

Excellent!
Pros: Works like a charm. Got two servers tethered to it.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: Great price for using the same KVM for two computers.

KVM
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. Still working after OVER A YEAR!
Cons: Doesn't recognize or pass threw special keyboard function keys or extra mouse button presses if you use anything other that a standard keyboard and 3 button mouse with wheel.
Other Thoughts: I use two mice and the keyboard function doesn't bother me, but if you are using a special keyboard, your extra keys won't work.

Doesn't work with my vid modes
Pros: Compact, cheap. Physical construction good. Good cabling. Doesn't want desk space.
Cons: Limited in the video modes it will operate. Won't sit on desk.
Other Thoughts: Doesn't work with the video modes I need. It was on the shelf too long to return, unfortunately.

2 so far
Pros: Cheap. Small. Cables included. I have 2 of them, working like champs so far. Good video quality at 1280x1024. No PS needed is nice.
Cons: Wired in attached cables made installation interesting.
Other Thoughts: I will probably end up buying more of these, if the 2 I have now keep working the way they have to date.

Has outlasted the monitor and computers
Pros: Works perfectly out of the box. It's switched every single time. I've owned this for 2 or 3 years and so far it's outlasted the monitor (CRT to LCD), the keyboard, the mouse, and the actual computers themselves.
Cons: No audio, but since one computer was hooked up to a surround sound system I didn't care about that at the time and didn't shop for that.
Other Thoughts: Since I fix a lot of computers I commonly use this KVM for the extra computer. It's been hooked up to at least 50 different computers and not once have I had a problem.

OK KVM
Pros: Works as advertised. Cables are a good length.
Cons: Switching is a little slow (2 seconds maybe.) Doesn't bother me though.
Other Thoughts: Right now it's just siting on the floor under my desk. I'd like to mount under the desk, but this KVM doesn't come with any mounting equipment. Not a big deal, I suppose.

Pros: Switches very fast, just hooked it up and it worked, no learning curve.

Excellent product
Pros: Easy to set up, color coding on everything made it simple, cables included, great value
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: My son loves to play legacy computer games. We conected a clunker running Windows 98 and a newer machine running Vista. It worked like a charm and he has the best of both worlds available with one keystroke.

Perfect.
Pros: Easy setup and zero problems. Allows me to switch between my high performance desktop and low-end Linux box at will.
Full switch takes just a few seconds. Allows keyboard to work in the BIOS of both of my computers.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Mouse and keyboard input transfer faster then the display. This isn't really a con or a plus, but is kind of nice when working with dual monitors as I am.

It's ok
Pros: It worked fine. Switched between computers in about 2-3 seconds.
Cons: Something went wrong three months in (i dont know what) but I was usually able to turn of one of the computers and run the second (had my gaming rig on 1 and my media/school computer on 2) but all of a sudden whenever i would turn off my school computer the power to the switch would go away although this wasnt the case vice versa. I ended up having to switch my gaming rig to 2 and my school computer to 1 so that the switch would have power.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product. Something in the bad of my mind says I just had bad luck and got a faulty one. With that in mind I'd even buy another if I needed it.
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and sorry about your experience. From your description above, it sounds like you have a bad unit. Since this unit is backed by IOGEAR’s 3 year warranty, please feel free to contact our tech support 7 days a week at 1(866)946-4327 and we would be glad to assist you. Once again thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Love This KVM Switch
Pros: Inexpensive, well made, fast and easy toggle switching with keyboard hotkeys. Great little unit that does exactly what it's supposed to do, with no fuss.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Set this up w/ two Linux (CentOS 5.3) boxes and the hotkeys worked with no bother at all. Great little unit that's unobtrusive, easy to use, and inexpensive. Newegg shipping is great as always (bought it through work).

Spend more for a better solution
Pros: This is an inexpensive unit, and in theory, it is well designed.
Cons: In actuality, the software is not consistent. I have used two of these devices and both are afflicted with the same issue. I am a fast typist and use my computers all day. I spend most of my time on one computer, but periodically switch to my personal pc for a task. As I am a fast typist, I have not been able to isolate the problematic key combination, but when I hit some combination or sequence of keys, the device starts toggling, on its own, between the two connected PCs. I have found no way of correcting the issue without crawling under my desk to disconnect both computers from the device. I have to do this every 2 -3 weeks. It is enormously frustrating.
Other Thoughts: The idea behind the device is great, but as I've looked at other reviews, I've seen this issue reported by others as well. I would advise you find an alternative product to solve your 2 computer, one monitor, mouse, keyboard issue. I am going to find another product I can count on.
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for choosing IOGEAR and sorry about your experience. From your description above, I believe you have triggered the autoscan mode by accident by pressing left shift key then right shift key as a sequence. Whenever autoscan is triggered, it will toggle between the ports automatically, you can simply press spacebar to end the autoscan action. We understand your concern for fast typing people may trigger the hotkeys by accident; we have already removed the left shift and right shift sequence for all our newer KVMs for autoscan mode. If you wish to look for an alternative, you may consider our GCS22U which has a remote switch button to toggle between computers instead of using hotkeys. If you would like to use hotkeys instead, you may consider our GCS632U which can share a set of speaker between the two computers also. If you have any question, please feel free to contact our 24/7 tech support at 1(866) 946-4327. Once again thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Not sure if this is normal...
Pros: Easy, fast, seems the quality is just fine. Didn't go with a cheaper one because of the reviews and the cable length, etc. Keyboard works perfectly. Mouse: See cons.
Cons: Mouse lags on the older system I have it hooked up to. A LOT. Not sure if I should return it or just deal with it as that system is mainly for downloads now and sometimes doing secondary projects on with a tablet, which won't lag. (Graphic Designer) New computer (64-bit Vista, 4gigs of ram, Intel Core 2 Duo, 9800GT, etc) works just fine, except that the mouse will pause in place for up to a second sometimes. It's obviously in the KVM switch as when hooked directly it doesn't do this. Never used a KVM before. Is this normal for switches that don't use a power supply?
Other Thoughts: Like everything else about it. ...wish I just had a second monitor so I didn't need it.

Pros: good to have when working with multiable computers
Cons: good when works with computers but dont work with ps2 /usb converters really mess it up and number buttons dont work on keyboard eather
Other Thoughts: wish i still had my old one never had a problem with it best one was belkin port with audio and now i cant find it again
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for choosing the IOGEAR KVM. From what you have menitoned, there is another KVM fits you need better. It is the GCS712U, here is the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817107451&Tpk=gcs712u GCS712U is designed to use the PS/2 based keyboard and mouse to support USB based computers, and it does support audio.

Worked for a while
Pros: Worked for a little while right out of the box.
Cons: This product is not worth the time and effort. After not even a full two months the screens were all jumbled up to a point that you could not tell what was on the screen. Contacted IO Gear and they informed me that they would replace the unit but I would have to pay for all the shipping which came out to more than the product was worth. Newegg has stated that they will ship me a replacement. Hopefully it'll work this time for a little longer than two months.

Does what it's supposed to!
Pros: Plugged it in, and it worked right out the box. Price is reasonable too (considering I payed about as much for a Belkin KVM which was the worst purchase I ever made)
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I just hope it keeps on working like this for a long time.

Nice
Pros: Works as advertised. Simple and functional.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I thought I was ordering a KVM switch with DVI connectors but this one has D-sub. Still, I found use for it with my two other boxes I use as NAS. I still need a KVM with two DVI connectors.

Disappointed
Pros: I bought one of this from Newegg. I am very disappointed beause it does not even work. I tried one whole day. Monitor is working but keyboard and mouse does not recognize at all specially mouse does not work at all. I bought it beacause of review. Sometimes you should not believe review. Although i am unhappy but I didn't return it. I don't like hassel and I don't like to spend more money on it. Then I ordered Rosewill brand and that work flowless and don't have any problem with mouse or keyboard. I am very happy with that. So, before you buy it think twice. Try Rosewill brand the one only $19.99. I love Newegg service. They are The best compare to other. Customer service and super fast service.
Cons: I don't think I will ever will buy this brand.
Manufacturer Response:We are sorry for the bad experience, sounds like you might have a bad unit. IOGEAR does offer a 3 year warranty on the product, please contact IOGEAR support for this. They should be able to identify the problem with you, and if the unit is confirmed bad, swap a good unit for you. We are hoping to win you back as an IOGEAR customer. Thanks.

More IOGEAR JUNK
Pros: Looks nice with connection cables hardwired in.
Cons: Will not switch reliably, Will not work period when accessing a BIOS when setting up a new machine. Will not throughput keyboard commands when installing a new operating system.
Other Thoughts: This item's performance is totally consistent with other IOGEAR products I have purchased.
Manufacturer Response:From the symptom that you described, you might have plugged and unplugged KVM while the computer was still on. PS/2 based devices can only be recognized when they are plugged in before powering on computers. USB based KVMs will allow you to do hot swapping. For PS/2 based system, there is a chance you may have to plug the keyboard and mouse in directly to the computer one time to let the computer recognize the PS/2 keyboard and mouse before you put them thru KVM. We offer 3 year warranty and also a 24/7 customer support, please contact IOGEAR for the problems you run into.

Good for what it's made for
Pros: Works pretty well for what it's intended to do. It was a breeze to set up and it facilitated my life so much.
Cons: This KVM switch is for PS/2 and VGA only. Wish there could be USB mouse/keyboard compatibility. My new computer didn't have a PS/2 jack for the mouse, so I needed 2 mice... I'm still giving it a 5 since it fulfilled what it's supposed to do well.

great, when set up correctly
Pros: fast and easy switching, good image quality.
Cons: had problems with initial setup
Other Thoughts: Ran into a problem where my monitor was not detected correctly by my second computer when connected to the kvm. The video card saw the monitor as "Default Monitor". Because of this I could not set the correct refresh rate, resulting in horrible flickering and image being off center.
I got the solution from another review on the web. I hooked up my monitor straight to the second computer, this allowed it to be recognized and the correct refresh rate could be set. I then powered down the computer and connected it to the kvm while disconnecting the first computer from the kvm. I then powered up the computer (with the first computer still disconnected) and the monitor started working like it should. Connected the first computer and both computers saw the monitor (with the correct refresh rate).

Pros: Works well. Ability to remove two sets of cables is nice for cable management. Switches fast. No lag using mouse or keyboard.
Cons: A few times it's gone into panic mode when changing between computers. Not sure if I hit something wrong or if it just got confused.
Other Thoughts: Nice unit for the price. I haven't used the audio switching, but it's still a nice feature to have available.

Works flawlessly
Pros: works right out without any setup. very easy to switch between pcs. i've use this with old and new systems and works without issue. i've had this for almost a year and no problems at all. it hasn't locked up on me even once. the cables are long. no problems with my monitor everything exactly as if the kvm wasn't even there. and the price is amazing. i also love that when u turn one pc off u can still switch to the other one.
Cons: the one thing i've had a problem with and i notice others have not is i cant get a usb mouse to work with it, maybe its my usb to ps2 adapter but i've tried several different mice and it doesn't want to work, and not any fancy usb mouse just very simple optical mouse, for some reason it just doesn't register at all. but it could be my adapter, i've just been too lazy to get a new one to test out, cause my ps2 mouse works great with this so i'll get to finding a new adapter one of these days i guess.
Other Thoughts: this is one of the best kvm switches you can get and if you count in the low price its completely a must buy. i've seen other way more expensive kvm switches where people have issues that i've never had with this one. so even without factoring in the low cost this is a great kvm switch. its simple and it gets the job done without any headache. connect everything and forget about it.

works fine, careful with PS/2 to USB converters
Pros: This KVM switch works fine as long as I have PS/2 ports at each computer.
Cons: Analog video quality suffers a bit (ghosting beside text characters mainly), but no more than with other units I've used.
Other Thoughts: I could not drive the mouse output of this into a PS/2 to USB converter and then into a ThinkPad. There's probably some difference in the drive levels etc.

easty to use
Pros: It's very compact which is nice and it does have an indicator LED on it showing which PC is selected. I had no problems setting it up and getting it to work.
Cons: none at this point
Other Thoughts: I did have to tell my monitor to auto adjust after hooking it up though.

Nice Product
Pros: Easy to use & set up. The switch is small & low profile. Cables are really long (6'). Manual hot key convenient, easy to use, & easy to remember (scroll lock twice fast). You can't accidentally switch. Doesn't need a power source. Good video signal for analog.
Cons: Minor ones: The recommended resolution for my monitor (1440x900) doesn't show up as an option even on XP through this (or is that not an option for an analog signal in general?). Fortunately on my primary computer I was able to use alternate settings for my graphics card to force the correct resolution but I usually use DVI on that anyway. Might take more than one attempt to switch depending on how fast you hit the key especially when getting used to it.
Other Thoughts: Tested on XP & 2000 Pro but not Vista. Auto scan looks complicated, stupid, & useless so I haven't tried it. I Only need the manual switch. You're out of luck if you like a button to hit but personally, I don't care. I am able to use a USB mouse with a USB to PS/2 adapter. You might want something else if you don't need the long cables because you have to do something with them. If you are going to do like me & have both DVI & analog (through this) signals connected to a computer windows will think that you have 2 monitors connected. The only way to do that is to be able to clone the signal otherwise you'll get an extended desktop on one of the inputs.

Nice easy solution
Pros: easy to configure if you just have two boxes you need to share a kb, mouse and monitor for. Works with both MS Server 2000 and 2003. No hiccups.
Cons: no button on unit to switch, you always have to use the scroll lock button on the keyboard to switch.

Simply Great
Pros: Absolutely trouble-free install, No power-supply or software required, has cables for 2 systems permanently attached. Together with the single monitor, mouse and keyboard cables for input, allows me to have two systems sitting 8 ft away. Scroll Lock key toggles between two systems. LED on product indicates which system is presently active. Switches instantly between systems. Does not deteriorate Video signal to LCD monitor at all.
Cons: All analog connections only. PS/2 for keyboard and mouse, D-sub for VGA. Not really a problem for me but potential buyers should be aware before purchasing. I tried connecting a USB mouse using an adaptor, but it doesn't work.
Other Thoughts: Would like to see a up-market version of this product which accepts DVI and USB connections in addition to Analog, but I expect that would cost quite a bit more..........I'm a very happy camper with the product at the existing price-point.

Good Quality Product
Pros: Works perfectly with WinXP, Kubuntu 8.04 and Ubuntu 8.04 Installs very easily and does not require any software, configuration or power supply. Switches easily between systems. Comes with two fixed cable sets to connect to two systems. Has a single input connector set that you connect your monitor VGA cable, keyboard cable and mouse cable to. Has two green lights to indicate which system is active. A good simple and solid device that works perfectly.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Only has PS2 connectors for mouse and keyboard and analog 15 pin VGA for video. I don't know whether it will take a usb keyboard or mouse with a usb to ps2 adaptor.....

KVM Switch - HELP
Pros: Yep
Cons: No
Other Thoughts: Would one of you be kind enough to help me with a KVM question? I am using a logitech WIRELESS keyboard (it DOES have the "Scroll Lock" key) and mouse -- Do you know if there is a KVM made for using the wireless KB and M?? I'm just wanting to use one monitor and two PC's (running XP). The monitor is an "Acer" VGA plug.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!! :-) Thank you in advance for any help.

cable length
Pros: works
Cons: can find cable length on newegg page , here and at mfg. page it says 6 inches. both out to lunch, what do we need, it works and it fits , 1 hit, 1 miss. sorry i will pass. in fact I looked at 10 switches here, non state cable length. sad really.
Other Thoughts: need,ps2/usb /vga KVM still looking. and long cables , like 10 feet min.

Not what I needed
Pros: It works well for certain configuations, just not mine.
Cons: The switch's hotkey is the Scroll Lock key and cannot be changed, my 3 newest Logitec keyboards do not have a scroll lock key. This switch doesn't work with a PS2/USB converter, my laptops only have USB input, so no keyboard will work for my laptops. I bought 2 of them.

Plug n Go
Pros: Was using my Microsoft XP system. Built a Linux system for someone. Had two monitors, keyboards, and mice.
When IOGEAR miniview arrived I plugged in. Works like a charm. Desk now clear of a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Works very well, which ever system you start up, it will address it. If you turn on the other system, the one key operation and you move between the two systems. Great!!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Excellent service from NewEgg as always, received in about 3 days after ordering.

Best 2 port KVM for the $$
Pros: This thing will connect up to any computer. It even worked with a Dell that had no PS2 ports, and I had to use a USB to 2 PS2 port adapter. Quick connect and switching with awesome compatability.
Cons: The cables are a little light- I would have prefferred something a little heavier, especially for the video cable. Although the video signal does not appear degraded despite being a smaller gauge cable. I have had issues in the past where a cheap KVM with bad cables produces a ghosting image- but this unit does not have this issue.
Other Thoughts: This hase been the 4th KVM switch that have used and by far the most compatable with any motherboard it has been attached to. I have used the Zonet and Trendnet units in the past, and was convinced that some MB would just be incompatable with certain KVM switches. This unit proved me wrong. I have yet to attach a computer that it won't detect. BUY THIS SWITCH!

Great KVM
Pros: Great product, works fast. My old Microsoft USB optical mouse worked perfectly fine with the included USB to PS2 dongle. Screen switches fast, and everything is great.
Cons: Every few weeks everything would just stop responding and a light on the KVM would flash. I couldn't figure out what caused this, or how to get it to stop. My only option was to completely disconnect everything and then reconnect everything. Finally fed up, I opened the user manual and found out that if you press RShift and the LShift in quick succession it initiates auto-scan mode. Only way to get out is by hitting the space bar.
Other Thoughts: It's so completely uncomprehensable that I would manage to hit both the RShift and then the LSHift so often. Should have stopped being a silly man and read the manual in the first place.

Slick
Pros: Small, nice long cables, eliminates the need for another Monitor, keyboard, mouse while running two side by side computers.
Cons: The hot key. My logitech wireless keyboard didn't have a scroll lock key (the hot key) so know I'm using a back up keyboard and my wrist are paying the price.

Great KVM for the money
Pros: This is a great KVM switch considering its price point. I'm using it to control to two Linux systems, Ubuntu and openSUSE and it works great. I'm using a Logitech USB optical wheel mouse with a PS/2 adaptor. I know some of the reviews state they had an issue using a USB mouse with a PS/2 adapter but this setup works fine for me. The delay switching between systems (tap the scroll lock key twice) is about a second or two at the most. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive KVM switch and you don't need audio, buy this one!
Cons: None.

Works well
Pros: Works right out of the box no configuration and switches very quickly. Other KVM switches I've used have a 3-4 second delay for the mouse and keyboard to pick up. This one doesn't have that delay.
Cons: It didn't seem to like a USB mouse with a PS/2 adapter feeding my Fedora Linux laptop. It worked okay on my WinXP machine but when I switched over to a thinkpad running Linux, the mouse wouldn't respond.

Works well
Pros: It is inexpensive and does what it is supposed to do. It is compact and has plenty of cable length.
Cons: The video switching is a little slower than other KVMs I've used.
Other Thoughts: My HP mouse (USB basic scroll mouse) would not work with the PS2 adapter. This is probably a problem with the mouse. I switched to a basic Logitech USB scroll mouse and it works fine with the PS2 adapter.

Awesome-- work perfectly
Pros: One of those rare times when a low buck product works exactly as advertised with no glitches to overlook. Video, keyboard, and mouse are perfect. Being used at 1024x768x75Hz with various standard / nothing special peripherals in a typical workstation / server application.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Worth every penny.

Almost perfect
Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Quick switching response (about 3-4 secs). While not "instantaneous" sure beats a THIRD monitor on the desk! (see other thoughts below). Great cable length - long is better than too short. Got mine at a comp. site only because I had a credit coming to me there(same low price), but specifically bought this unit over others including USB ones because of the large number and percent of "5-Egg" ratings here. Yes, Newegg Rocks!
Cons: Did not work with my HP optical mouse (USB) using ps/2 - usb adapter. Not a fair con since documentation sez it's not usb compatible, although many here report success with an adapter.
Other Thoughts: Was pleasantly suprised to find I could use both PC's at the same time without switching. One PC is dual-monitor, so #1 monitor is dedicated to that PC. The 2nd monitor is on KVM. During setup, the USB mouse didn't respond, so I plugged it into a USB port on main PC and attached ps/2 mouse to KVM. After switching pc's, I noticed both mice worked and across both monitors. Switching to secondary pc on shared monitor still allowed use of primary PC & primary monitor with USB mouse, although no keyboard. I suppose I could plug a second USB keyboard into #1 PC and put it on underdesk shelf, but that sort of defeats the purpose of the KVM - lol!

Pros: works great for those small businesses where the owner wants to keep their server next to his desktop ... all under his desk
Excellent and simple to use KVM ... great for server closets
Cons: not for gaming ... as the CTRL key is used as a hot-key by the KVM switch
also note, this is PS/2 only, so those newer USB (legacy-free, no PS/2 ports) systems ... cannot use this ... it wasn't designed to be used that way
Other Thoughts: we've bought dozen of these over the last 2 years for the sole purpose of giving users the ability to quickly switch between 2 computers ... and would buy again

Much better than Black Box
Pros: I have simular low-buck KVMs like this from Black Box, who I used to have a great amount of respect for, but this unit blows the BB low-end KVMs away. With the BB KVM I have to hit CTL, CTL+2 many times before it recognizes the change. This IOGEAR is instant, fast and consistent.
Cons: NONE

like a charm
Pros: Been using this inexpensive KVM for over a year without so much as a glitch or flicker. NEVER lost a desktop setting or signal, regardless of which (or both) units are powered up. Sometimes I even switch in the midst of a power-up or power-down, no problem. It seamlessly switches just as any user would want.
Cons: Can't find a con... I've looked.
Other Thoughts: I use mine to switch between two older PC's, a Sony Vaio desktop (with Windows Me!) and a HP Pavillion with XP.

Great device
Pros: small size, simple fast switching, cost, durability... does exactly what it's supposed to
Cons: none: this is a great unit
Other Thoughts: I had one of these in college and used it for a year and a half without a single problem. When it turned up missing a few months after moving to a new apartment, I went straight back for another one (pleased to see 1920x14xx resolution support so it will support the 1920x1200 LCD I plan on buying until I opt for a DVI KVM).
The one note I wanted to make is that I've never had trouble with USB to PS2 adapted devices on either of my units - first a Logitech wireless trackball, now a Microsoft Intellimouse (but they are both fairly simple as far as mice go...)

Decent Buy
Pros: It does the job.
Cons: The image is fuzzy and there are light lines that move up the screen once in a while. It is pretty annoying on the eyes.

Works great
Pros: Easy switching between two computers (laptop in dock and desktop on floor) via scroll lock key. Works with my USB Logitech ball mouse via USB/PS-2 converter. Long cables.
Cons: it would be nice if the lights were more visible - like on the front instead of the top but that's a very minor thing.
Other Thoughts: I don't use it for switch monitors; just keyboard/mouse. At first, I thought it was faulty when it started blinking the lights and the keyboard and mouse stopped working - then I read the instructions. I had inadvertently (several times) put it into scan mode and only the space bar works to exit that mode. No need to disconnect both computers to reset it any more!!!

Good while they last
Pros: It really does work. No power brick either. And I didn't have to press any button on the unit to switch. By default, just press the scroll lock key quickly twice and Voila! It's easy to set up, easy to use, and won't break the bank. Works with Linux too, no faulty drivers!
Cons: The only problem I had was that it died on me after about 3 months. I used is maybe every other day, and it just didn't work one day. No lights, PC couldn't see keyboard/mouse, it just died. Hence, I deduct 2 eggs for an otherwise awesome product.
Other Thoughts: I use(d) this for working on a home-server and my main computer. I'm too lazy for SSH, so this was cool. I found after hooking up 2 computers, I quickly out-grew this and wanted to hook up a 3rd and 4th. A great product, but I'll be checking out another brand when I get around to getting another.

Good but has a flaw...
Pros: We bought these for our game room at work, so people could bring in their own PC's to hook up to our work stations or they could use the PC's we have available. They work great for workstation use, thats about it. They do what they say, and work great for anything but gaming.
Cons: Last week at our LAN party, we were playing UT3 and started experiencing the mice just randomly freezing for about a second. Not on one computer, and it wasnt the mice either. We tried many different kinds of mice and eventually just switched to a D.Link KVM switch.
Other Thoughts: If you are going to be using these strictly for workstation applications and not fast paced intense gaming, these are a perfect match! These KVM's are not for gamers...

Functions as K_M switch
Pros: Works without attaching monitors. A reliable, simple, Mouse/Keyboard switch. No problem encountered when entering BIOS or standalone backup system.
Cons: After hookup the system would not recognize a USB keyboard through a PS/2 adapter. Used a PS/2 keyboard to solve the problem. System now recogizes a Logitech marble mouse as a Logitech wheel mouse, but they function about the same.
Other Thoughts: Didn't require the extra functions available with the marble mouse. Universal Scroll still functions in SOME applications. I couldn't locate a KM switch, so this works for me.

Does exactly what it should
Pros: I have never had a single malfunction with or caused by this device. It has worked perfectly since first connecting it.
Cons: A choice of hot-key sequence would be nice.
It doesn't switch instantaneously.
Other Thoughts: Well worth the money.

No USB - No Logitech
Pros: Compact, comes with cables. Would be very useful for PS2 Mice & Keyboards.
Cons: No USB, but I guess that's not really Con. What con is when I hooked my Logitech Mouse and Keyboard using USB to PS2 converter I lost extra functionalities of the keyboard and mouse.
Other Thoughts: Sent for refund and got LINKSKEY LKU-S02ASK. It worked out of the box.

So so
Pros: Simple design if not appealing that hardly takes up any space. Long integrated cables, works fine with PS/2-USB converters.
Cons: I've used this on multiple computers, monitors, keyboard and mice here at my work (I've got five computers in my cube, two hooked to this KVM) and every now and then, usually after switching a good amount of times this thing will not stop switching constantly by itself. In order to fix this I have to completely disconnect it from both computers (not monitor), even swapping out different mice and keyboards won't stop it and those devices become unresponsive during this.
Other Thoughts: Nifty little thing but this problem is too distracting.
