Great Power Supply
Pros: Love the wiring. It's the first power supply that I have bought that you can easily bundle and hide unused wires.
Cons: Flat black but me likey.
Other Thoughts: Replaced a 550 watt with this and it out performs the old one. I liked this one so much, I bought a 2nd one a few days later.

Best low-priced power supply
Pros: I needed a quiet, high-quality power supply for an HTPC, and I knew Corsair had the best reviews in the business. I have not been disappointed.
Cons: For my HTPC, modular cables would be nice, as my case is practically overflowing with unused cables from the 400CX, but I chose this highly-reviewed unit over lesser units that offered modular cables because I wanted the best quality.
Other Thoughts: If you're not running high-end graphics cards or highly overclocked processors, I can't imagine why you'd get anything other than the 400CX. It's efficient, comes from the most reputable of manufacturers, and it's quiet. Much more expensive power supplies might be quieter, but in this price range, you can't beat the 400CX.

Excellent power supply
Pros: Extremelly quiet! can't hear a thing from the fan. Very nice. Plenty of SATA power connecters and 6pin Video power connector is great to have.
Cons: the only thing i wish this had was removable cable so i can take out the molex ones. but that is hardly a con for the wonderful model
Other Thoughts: I've owned many corsair products over the years and this seems to be an excellent quality power supply. definitely the best i've owned ever. A++

Pros: It works :-) I just got it and installed replacing old dead one, everything was straightforward
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: You probably need 400W power supply for not very big system, and this one comes with long cables and there are plenty of them. Now my machine is full of power cables inside.

Ultra Quiet and Reliable
Pros: Ultra quiet power supply. Couldn't tell that the fan was even on until I opened the case and looked at it. Can't beat the price even before the rebate. Very good value for the money.
Cons: The day after I bought it, Corsair upped their rebate for it from $10 to $15. Should have waited an extra day. Buy one now to get the extra $5 on your Visa rebate card!
Other Thoughts: This is the second Corsair power supply I have bought, and I expect to get years of trouble free use out of them. When you look at "budget" computer builds in magazines, you will never see them skimp on the PSU, as that is literally the heart of any system (without clean and reliable power, you just got a big fat paper weight).

A PSU that works
Pros: Works fine.
Cons: No funny noises or smells.

Quality PSU
Pros: The best quality power supply in this price range, IMO. Well built, quiet, cool running, plenty of connectors, HEAVY. Quality components used throughout, with the ball-bearing fan it should last a long time.
Definitely can't go wrong w/ this one...
Cons: Haven't been able to find any...
Other Thoughts: Pretty much all my favorite manuf. are using cheap sleeve-bearing fans in their $50 and under range this year(sea*, FSP, SPI), this one has a very hi-quality ball-bearing fan.
If the fan dies, it doesent matter how good the other internal components are, they will quickly fry. A quality ball-bearing fan will last YEARS longer than any sleeve-bearing fan.

Nice
Pros: Nice product, almost fully sleeved. The exterior has a nice, black soft finish.
The fan pushes decent air.
Cons: The fan is kind of noisey, at times. Not as loud as my GPU fan, however (8800GTS512).

Pros: Very, very quiet power supply, which is a huge plus in my book. Reliable for the price. The fan really brought down the temps in my case, an added plus for this product. Corsair is a trusted brand, and the quality shows.
Cons: None, really. All the unused cables get in the way, but that's my fault for buying such a cramped case, so it's not really a con for this power supply
Other Thoughts: A friend purchased this PSU for me as a replacement for my now-dead 500W PSU, and I think it was an excellent choice. Powering the following setup:
Pentium D 3.00GHz (dual-core) 4GB DDR2 RAM GeForce 8600GT Two HDDs (1 IDE, 1 SATA) One DVD+/-RW drive

corsair psu
Pros: being how its a corsair the name should speak for itself. had i used a " more powerful" off brand i would never yield the results that this psu produces. efficiency is where its at and corsair always comes through. running 3 hdds, OC phenom 940, xfx 4870, dvd burner, 4gs ram-all on this little psu.
Cons: no complaints.
Other Thoughts: buy it and be happy.

Great PSU for low wattage needs
Pros: Soft black finish, fully wrapped cable bundles, 80 Plus rating, quiet, and easy to push on/take off Molex connectors. No worries about pulling the cables out of the pins here.
Cons: Some cables may be a little short to run cable management behind the motherboard in a full tower case. Then again, you probably won't be using a 400W supply in a full tower anyway.
Other Thoughts: Out of the box this doesn't come with the fancy bag or custom foam packing of the higher wattage PSUs, but it delivers the same high quality performance at a very reasonable price

Works as expected
Pros: Quiet, easy setup, worked right out of the box.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Probably not the most quiet PS on the market, but pretty quiet none the less. 400W is enough for me.

good value
Pros: good value (after mail in rebate), sleek looking, sturdy packaging, sleeved cables, reputable brand, quiet
Cons: not really a con, but i hope the mail in rebate goes through and is approved.
Other Thoughts: my previous power supply was an Antec 500W and has lasted me for 6 years and still runs strong. I did a new Linux build using this Corsair and so far so good. I am very happy with this product and will purchase again for another build i am doing shortly

Pros: Cable management was a breeze. The cables are surrounded in a neat mesh. This thing is built like a tank. This is my first build and I'm glad I don't see fireworks yet.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This is the system im running with this PSU.

Low quality Power Supply
Pros: When it was still working it was a quiet power supply.
Cons: It died on the 30th day. It simply did not turn on.

Great Value for the Price
Pros: Great for a budget minded upgrade. I got this at a nice discount w/ mail in rebate and the quality is very good. Installed into a Dell E521 to give a nice little upgrade. Cables come nicely mesh wrapped and looks good in all black. Good entry level PSU and Corsair quality. Can't beat that.
Cons: If you call it a con the cables are long and thick for a BTX tower like the E521. I was able to tuck everything out of the way so I'd hardly call it a con.

Amazing.
Pros: -Single 12v rail -80+ efficiency -Very sturdy and feels very well made. -3 Year warranty -Price
Cons: -Well, It's only 400 watts and only has 30 amps on a 12v rail so it's not much power.
Other Thoughts: I'm doing a new build and I've heard alot of good things about corsair, especially their PSUs. I some research on my parts and how much power and connectors this unit has and I made my choice. Have you ever bought something and it just emanated quality? Well this PSU does exactly that. It feels extremely sturdy and of very high quality. I'm very impressed with the PSU. It powers all my components, looks very nice with my case, high quality, low price and the cords are sleeved. If you were to ask me, well was it worth *insert price here*? YES. So much that I may only buy corsair PSUs in the future. To conclude this review, know how much power you'll need and connections you'll require. For me this PSU is exactly what I need and more at a great price, I have no regrets at all buying this and I would most definitely recommend it to someone who is considering it.
Specs are 4850 Athlon II X2 240 Regor @ 2.8ghz 2GB DDR2 RAM 2 HDDs 4 Fans

Nice
Pros: Runs great. The Corsair website has a calculator to determine which psu you need depending on your system, and this little guy is capable of running multiple hd's and semi-beefy video cards (I am running the ati 4770).
Cons: I don't know if this was an issue with the psu or the motherboard, but the 24-pin power connector was extremely difficult to plug in. Luckily the board was sturdy enough to withstand a lot of force (a cheap ECS).

Great Value
Pros: Typical Corsair quality........Excellent! Lots of SATA connectors and good lengths to reach in just about any case. 400w is more than enough power for most entry-level rigs and the voltages are rock-stable as measured with my DVM. Sleeving on all connections right into the supply. It's these little details that separate Corsair from the competition. Great value with the $10 rebate. 80+ efficiency and a nice warranty. Get it, you won't be disappointed.
Cons: It's not modular??? I would have paid extra to get this psu in modular form. As stated above, cables are in generous lengths that help in mid-tower and larger cases. Unfortunately, mine is not a large case (NZXT Beta) but i was still able to tuck the unused cables away.
Other Thoughts: Wire gauge is sized for it's rated (400w) output which makes them a smaller gauge than their more robust (larger wattage) brothers. This is good as it helps guiding the cables in tight places and tucking the unused ones away.
I run this in my server rig..... a ECS GF8100VM-M3 (V1.0) motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 BE cpu, 4gb G.Skill DDR2-800, 2 Seagate 1tb HDD's(RAID 1), Samsung DVD burner, plus (4) 120mm case fans in a NZXT Beta case. This combination draws between 100-110w idle

better than expected
Pros: I built a new Athlon II X4 system and stuck it in an old tower with a 300W power supply. I hooked up a Kill-A-Watt and measured 7W with the system off and 100W on. I realized I probably didn't want to run a questionable PS with my new system, so I spring for this Corsair unit. Really I was after reliability rather than power savings. So anyway, I installed the Corsair and now measure with the Kill-A-Watt 1W off and 70W powered up. That's like a 30% reduction in energy use. I suspect this also translates into a significant reduction in heat, since I bet most of the excess power consumption of the old unit was dumped out as heat.
Cons: rebate hassle.

Pros: Well built solid unit with lots of connections. Put this unit in a Dell XPS8000 with an intel i5 processor and a PNY Geforce 9800 GT. Runs like a champ!
Cons: None. Love the unit. Higher priced but you get what you pay for in this case.

Nice PSU
Pros: Tons of SATA and molex connectors, stable voltages, has the weight of a brick (which is a good thing), one big 12V rail, sleeved cables, quiet unit.
Cons: 8-pin CPU cable might be short for some.
Other Thoughts: Bought this PSU for my mother-in-law, who has had 2 (cheap) PSUs die in the past 18 months. Performance so far is stellar but she doesn't do anything heavy duty either, she just wanted a reliable PSU. This is the first Corsair PSU I've purchased, but it won't be my last.

Excellent product and service is outstanding!
Pros: This product delivers power to computers and does what it advertises. For budget systems, this is the only PS I will use. Upper end systems I only Corsair PS. There is not reason to use anything else.
Cons: NA
Other Thoughts: Had a problem with a PS I bought and RMA to Corsair. They made it right and then some. I like how these folks do business. Used Axtec PS for years, but starting having real problems a few years back. Bad capacitors up the wazzoo. No problems in 3 years of Corsair that would make me buy anything else.

Finally
Pros: Finally, a power supply worth rating! Very quiet. PLENTY of connections. Very stable. Works wonderfully with my MSI motherboard...putting the computer to deep deep sleep...yet popping up Win 7 in a ready to go state as soon as I touch it!
Cons: None so far. Hopefully, longevity will not be an issue.
Other Thoughts: At this price I would highly recommend this PS. Thanks Newegg, for the usual super fast shipping.

It works...
Pros: Run quietly, doesn't smoke and it actually powers my PC, unlike the old Rosewill 450watt PS it replaced that would dump power due to overheating during games. Thank you Corsair for producing products that do as advertised.
Cons: Power supplies use to be inexpesive, now marketing has driven the prices of these to ridiculous levels. It also seems ridiculous that one has to search for a power supply that might actually do what it says it does and then think it is an exceptional product when all it does is work as advertised.
Other Thoughts: Apparently, my system containing an AMD athlon X2 6400+ and GTS250 video card is considered a power hog. This PS runs it fine so far. Check the volts X amps for your 12v rails and you will see alot of lies about wattage. My old PS claimed to have 2 12v rails rated at 20 amps each but only 324watt maximum rather than the 480watts it should have been. Obviously, Rosewill lied about the 20 amp ratings.

Noisy supply
Pros: Newegg has a great return policy and great customer service.
Doesnt have LEDs, which is what I wanted.
Nice big fan.
Cons: RMA'd this thing - it was really noisy. Any time the hard drive did something, the power inductors/transformers in it would ring.
The 8-pin power cord to the Mobo was barely long enough. Granted, my case has the supply mounted in the bottom, but it is only a mid-tower case so its not real tall.
The fan is mounted on the bottom of the unit, with vents out the back of the case. Since the supply mounts in the bottom of my case, the airflow would not be that great.

Pretty. Good.
Pros: Quiet, cool, pretty, lots of connectors, lots of juice
Cons: +12V CPU power leads are just a bit short for bottom-mounted cases (e.g. Antec 300) -- still very usable but could be longer.

Surprised
Pros: PRICE: I scoured the web for about 3 weeks looking for a high quality, low cost PSU. This is IT.
QUALITY: Far better than my old Antec 350 watt.
The unit was very well finished...it had a perfect array of connectors to work on both current and last generation Motherboards.
The cables are nicely wrapped in black mesh...and have plenty of length...fine for my mid-tower case.
Solid power, with 30 amps on the 12 volt rail. Better than dual 12 volt rails if using only a single VID card. ALWAYS check the amps on the 12 volt rail for todays Graphics Cards.
Don't have any doubts about this unit...you'll only need more power if you are running 'SLI' or 'Crossfired' multiple vid cards. See 'Other Thoughts' below.
Cons: Nothing. Unless its quietness is a problem for you.
Other Thoughts: With this PSU I run the following:
Athlon II Regor DUAL CORE 3 Ghz ... 2 Gigs 800 DDR2 ram ..... 2 optical drives .......1 USB storage drive .........2 SATA hard drives and finally, an ATI Sapphire HD 4770 Graphics Card...this card recommends a 450 watt PSU but this 400 watt, 30 amp Corsair has not flinched. It's always good to have extra power...but if you are on a tight budget like me, this will be safe for your system...it's a great product...just don't expect it to run more than one Graphics card...or a very high-end single card with multiple GPU's.
Otherwise, get it...and breathe easy. It HAS the stability...and it HAS the juice.

Quietly Eggcelent!
Pros: I also own a Corsair 750 Watt, this cheaper model has the same quality build. I bought for a HTPC anticipating lower power use.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Corsair makes a quality PSU and I've never been let down by thier memory. I've got some brand loyalty based on past experience.

Quiet
Pros: Very quiet. This is my 2nd Corsair PS and it wont be my last. I've had their 750 watt PS in my main computer for over a year. They have earned my trust.
Cons: Price?
Other Thoughts: I've gambled on cheaper PS in the past. Sometimes they work well. Sometimes they blow after 5 minutes. When I buy Corsair I know it's going to work. Of course, there is always a chance you get a lemon, but with a good brand you have a better chance of a good experience.

Solid and quiet PSU
Pros: I just got this PSU to power my newly built system, and everything booted up perfectly the first time, no issues. This thing is pretty quiet, I have this PSU, a case fan, CPU fan, and GPU fan and my machine is as quiet as a whisper
Cons: Due to the mid-sized case I bought, the cables coming out of this were cramming into my video card (PSU on the bottom-front of the case)! This isn't really the PSU's fault, more like a bad coincidence between the case, psu, and mobo. I was able to bend the cables enough to get them out of the way, so hopefully the pressure is off of the video card now...
Other Thoughts: It's powering this system fine- *Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93GHZ E7500 *Powercolor HD4850 1 GB *Gigabyte ATX mobo *GSkill DDR3 1333 (2x2GB) *DVD/CD RW *500GB WD hard drive

flawless after 6+ months
Pros: Running in an older AMD Sempron server system after the original PSU died after 5 years. System is not pulling that many watts, so I can't really say how good the wattage rating is. Very, very whisper quiet fan.
Cons: None.

I Like the Reputation
Pros: Worked just fine out of the box. I have warm fuzzies about this PSU with all the good ratings and Corsairs reputation. I think this PSU is a good value.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Part of this build: APEX TX-381-C Micro ATX Tower ASUS M4A785-M Micro ATX Motherboard CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W Power Supply AMD Athlon II X4 620 CPU G.SKILL F2-9600CL6D-4GBRH RAM Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound I had a couple other hard drives and rom drive to complete the build.
I won't be running a Crossfire or SLI setup, so what do I need more that 400 watts for?

Afordable and quality PSU
Pros: Inexpensive, energy-efficient, quiet fan, 6 SATA power connectors, and ample cable lengths (for the most part - see other thoughts).
Corsair PSUs have come to be my preferred power supplies as I have found them to be very reliable.
Cons: None to speak of.
Other Thoughts: I have used a few Corsair PSUs over the last 3-ish years and all are still in service and continue to perform wonderfully.
The cable length of the 8-pin EPS power connector could stand to be about 6-inches longer for bottom-mounted-PSU cases. The cable did reach but the routing was not as elegant as I would have liked. All of the other cable lengths are fine for a mid-tower case. I did not deduct any eggs for this since I don't see this as a power supply issue - more of a system integration observation (it's not Corsair's fault that I used this in a case of this type).

Corsair is consistently good
Pros: Corsair products always seem to 'just' work. This power supply is no exception.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: ASUS Micro ATX G43 board, E8400 processor, 4GB DD3 RAM, one SATA disk, one SATA DVD burner, MOTU PCI card, USB MIDI interface.

Cool and efficient power supply
Pros: -Silent operation -Single 12v rail with 30a -Highly Efficient -Runs very cool, I'm not sure of the temp but there's cold air blowing out the back -Cables were plenty long enough to route behind the motherboard in my Antec P180 case, even the 8 pin cable was just long enough
Cons: Nothing that I can think of other than this generally is a highly overlooked power supply. It has a very moddest look, no colorful stickers like the other corsair psu's I've seen. I don't really care cause I don't have a window on my case and have it closed up 90% of the time.
Other Thoughts: This is hands down the best value to performance ratio you can get with a power supply. I got mine thirty bucks after rebate, thats not bad for any power supply but for one of this quality it's almost unheard of. It powers the system I have below just fine, runs Crysis, Far Cry 2, and any other game I can think of without crashing. With computer hardware requiring less and less power to operate you don't need a 700+ power supply! At least I dont.

Corsair PSUs are Nice
Pros: It's Solid So far...Corsair got Rated best PSU,and they are now my choice for builds! Great RAM,Great PSUs
Cons: None (And Lets Hope their PSUs Live up to the Name,as I have no reason to believe they won't)
Other Thoughts: Most PSUs in this Price Range aren't Modular, and given the choice I'd take Reliability over Modular any day.

Great PSU
Pros: VERY QUIET Used it to replace a HIPRO 300W PSU that i used to replace a Dell 190W PSU Very Cheap Got it because i needed a psu with a PCI-E Connector Worked on first boot
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: My rig: BIOSTAR P4M900M Mobo, 2.80GHz Pentium 4 Single-Core (Rummaged from an old Dell Dimension 3000), 2GB GSKILL DDR2 667 RAM, WD 80GB IDE Hard Drive, 2 Optical Drives (cd-rw and dvd-rom),Old Dell Dimension 3000 Case, and 1 ATi Radeon X1950XTX Crossfire Edition. Great PSU
Pros: Stable, great PSU for a low end build. Fairly quiet. Cost/Benefit is excellent for a good PSU from a good company.
Cons: Subjective: Seems the corsair 450W PSU is quieter, but because of the extra money I would still go with this PSU a lower cost basic system.
Other Thoughts: This is still a very quiet PSU and one you will be happy with if it is the right amount of power for your build. I am very happy with the outcome of the build.

Does not work, just clicks
Pros: None
Cons: This PSU did not work with my Core i7 motherboard. I have an ASUS Maximus III motherboard, an NVideo 9500GT graphics card, a single HD & CD-ROM. When I power on the system nothing happens. All I see if a flashing red LED on my motherboard. I then "upgraded" to a larger Corsair TX650W PSU. Same problem.
My old 350W Enermax PSU from my old system works just fine with the same system configuration.

Only PSU I'll ever buy again :)
Pros: Solid, simple, clean, LONG CABLES. Lowest fluctuating power supply in any of the lines on this supply.
Cons: absolutely none... nothing
Other Thoughts: I'll never buy anything else again... I ventured into the cheaper ones recently and paid the price... so to speak

Good so far
Pros: Solid feeling contruction, nice textured paint job, more connectors than you'll ever need, wires are long enough to reach your hard drive on the moon, runs VERY cool.
Single 12v rail simplifies everything. You get everything this PSU has, no matter where it's needed, no "trapped" power on another rail.
Great value for price, 80plus certified at this price is outstanding.
Cons: This isn't a con, but I haven't owned this long enough to make a real judgement. My Rosewill 400w worked just as well for the first six months, then it s*** the bed. I'm hoping this higher quality unit from a top PSU maker lasts much longer. The true test of a PSU is how long it lasts, not how well it works initially.
I suppose the super-long cables could be a hassle for some. However, I have a cramped mid tower and had no problem just stuffing them in an empty floppy bay. You've been warned by multiple people, don't complain if they're too long.
Other Thoughts: Newegg changes the price and promotions on this unit VERY often. The day after I bought it, it went up $5. Three days after I bought it, it was back to the price I paid AND included free shipping (which would have been a $10 savings). If you want it, wait until you can get as many discounts as possible.
Newegg, let's get real on the shipping prices. I have no bulk discounts with any shipper and I could ship this unit for $4. Charging me a hair under $10 to ship this to me ONE STATE AWAY (and factoring in the massive bulk discount you recieve) is absolutely ridiculous.

nice, cheap. entry to mid-level user
Pros: efficient. single pcie cable. package comes with everything you could need, extra cable ties about more than 5 or 8.
Cons: -not modular? but i knew that. extra cables gota stuff em together.
Other Thoughts: this cmpsu-400cx powers my: athlon ii x2 250, ecs GF8100VM-M3, 2x2gb ddr2, 8800gs, asus royal knight hsf(120mm led fan), thermaltake v9 case (two 120mm fans(one is led) and two 230mm fans), wd caviar 250gb 7200rpm, 5 usb devices. everythings running without a hitch. i do not overclock. the box was cool, i use it for storing little things, all pc related of course.

Stable and reliable.
Pros: -Corsair is a reliable brand, sent the rebate as promised. -very stable, high amperage 12v rail -plenty of cables -price (even without rebates)
Cons: -not modular -rebate took a bit to get, but they probably use an outside company for it, so I can't blame them.
Other Thoughts: Great power supply. Right now, I don't have it running a video card, but I'll probably try it with a 4850 (which is actually recommended for 500w, but it seems to be running a high enough amperage anyway.) IF nothing else, it's a stable, high-quality psu for a budget build with a low to mid graphics card.

This Power Supply look just as great as it works
Pros: Everything is great about this power supply. It has the nicest packaging I've ever seen. It works very quiet. It has long and nicely wrapped cables. It has tons of connectors. It comes with screws and cable ties. It has a good brand name. It is not expensive. And it just feels great to have a good power supply. Good reccomendation, NewEgg!
Cons: I wish it just cost $10 less instead of having to deal with the rebates.

Good powersupply
Pros: Quiet fans, has nice wrapping around all the cables.
Cons: Not really a 'bad' thing, but the cables are VERY long, so much so that I had to do some creative cable management to get them to all fit and not obstruct.
Other Thoughts: Very happy.

Absolutely Perfect.
Pros: My computer blows cool air our the back! The cables are long, and there are way more connectors than needed--I have 4 hard drives and 2 disk drives running--and still have 2 entire power cables rolled up unused.
The PSU is heavy and well constructed. Its a really nice feeling to be confident that my PSU will not fail and fry the rest of my computer. I'm glad I replaced the cheap generic model I had.
Because of its single rail and amps, this model can run many graphic cards that ask for 450w or more PSUs. In fact--this model would be comparable to many 550 or 600w power supplies by many other companies. The single rail makes installation simple too--just plug things in.
Cons: At first I wasnt certain the fan was actually running-- its almost silent. Now I can hear the other noises from my computer... The only real con is that its made in China like everything else.
Other Thoughts: It comes with an awesome "Powered by Corsair" sticker.
Corsair is hands down the best PSU manufacturer. There are other brands that match this quality (Antec, PC power and Cooling), and brands that match price--but there are no competitors that match Corsair in both quality and price.

Bullet-proof. Full-Featured. Awesome!
Pros: Powerful, reliable and from a trusted brand. Has a 120mm fan that not only cools the PSU but helps cool other components in small form-factor cases. Has an abundance of connectors for practically any need.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Not well suited for a high end gaming machine due to the 1x PCI-E connector. Otherwise, this is a powerful, reliable and connector-rich PSU from the best PSU manufacturer. I've got two of these and they are powerful, trouble-free and silent at ~220-300W draw.

Solid... Quiet...Well Done
Pros: I recently purchased 5 of these and love them. Even the experience of opening the box was enjoyable. Nicely packaged, Solid (heavy) feel, Quiet Fan, Nice leads, Black Mounting Hardware. Its all good!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Well done! I recently was forced to purchase a Rosewill 450 supply because Newegg was out of this one... and the comarison is hardly fair. Not in the same league.

Excellent Operation
Pros: Very quiet and does what it promises.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This PSU runs inside a HTPC. I can't hear it over the tiniest hum that the TV puts out. The loudest component is definately the hard drive.
I definately haven't tested this PSUs limits though and never will. HTPCs don't need anything except quiet and that's what this PSU is.

Greav Value!
Pros: Plugged right in, powered on right away, and works great! Nice mesh around wires gives it a quality touch. Overall, great product! (Wish I could say the same about my Radeon 5770 that I got in the same order. Artifacts everywhere.)
Cons: there are a lot of lengthy wires, and in my Micro ATX case, this creates a little bit of crowding. Not really a con, just a warning.
Other Thoughts: Powers my (although broken on arrival) Radeon 5770, along with 3GB RAM, Phenom 9500, 2x500GBHDDs, 2 fans, and a PATA DVD burner perfectly. Came with a high quality 4GB flash drive, a nice bonus.

Fantastic PSU, Terrible Rebate Service
Pros: Just like PC P&C, long cables to reach everywhere and plenty of them. Installed into a new Dell Inspiron case to power an ATI Radeon 4850 for the Father-in-Law, she's quiet and has been running like a dream for him.
Cons: Nothing that I can tell of.
Other Thoughts: Unfortunately my story takes a grim turn here for you see I bought this power supply a mere 4 hours before Corsair released its rebate program of $20 for it. I have been a long time Corsair customer and appreciate their customer service typically. This time around when I had told them about my story and asked for a bit of leniency on the purchase, I was ignored. A little shocking to me given my past experiences with them and unfortunately I can no longer support them or their products myself. They do make quality RAM and I have used the lifetime warranty on their sticks before with a pretty quick turn-around, but in this day and age of pricing and product quality, I also look for customer service in which case they have scr*wed me.

Seriously?
Pros: This power supply performs very well. I have it paired with a i5, 4GB DDR3, 150GB Raptor, 1TB storage, HD5750, and it performs flawlessly. 80+ is exactly that, its super efficient and runs everything in this rig with no problems. I use this power supply in most of my customer's computers and I couldn't be more satisfied. Great build material too!
Cons: um...that its not modular? What more do you want from a fantastic 400w power supply? It's a great power supply
Other Thoughts: To the guy who complained about the 400w power supply he bought for a high-end rig...you really think running whatever Quad core you did not specify with a HD 5870 along with your other components were going to be sufficient? Please don't spend $800+ on high end products and expect a $40 400w power supply to run it all. Please don't just throw your money around..do your homework before you throw blame around...the only one to fault is yourself. CORSAIR is AWESOME!

Look at the size of that thing!
Pros: Single rail design means it can power things better than PSUs rated much higher. Has 8-pin EPS12V connector like most multicore motherboards want. Runs relatively quietly.
Cons: The cables are long. I don't mean "Oh, good, I have some slack for cable routing" long. I mean "Gee, what was I thinking putting this bad boy in a mid-tower case?" long. Don't even think about using this in a mini-tower case!
Other Thoughts: The box says it's "whisper quiet." Well, it's relatively quiet, but certainly louder than a whisper. It seems like it's marketed as a desktop product, but it'd really be more at home in a server.

Watch the rebate timing
Pros: Efficient 81-83% according to 80 PLUS Good cable length (I can route the 8 pin CPU connector for good airflow - entirely around my motherboard - in my bottom PSU mount Antec 300 despite more than doubling the required cable length). Very quiet.
Cons: Be careful of that rebate - I wanted to make sure everything was okay on my system before I sent it in (in case I needed to RMA anything). However, I waited too long 3 weeks from purchase was too late for the rebate - my other two rebates were still within the timeframe. Download/print the rebate when you purchase to make sure you can still access it, as some rebates only last a week, so by the time the item is delivered, its no longer available online.
Other Thoughts: Watch the pricing - Newegg likes to vary this one quite a bit the list price of ~65 is more than double what you can pay after a rebate.

Solid PSU
Pros: Solid, name brand power supply with lots of amps on the 12v rail. 80+ efficiency.
Cons: Only 1 PCIe connector.

Pros: I read and believed the favorable reviews about this power supply. The price was good with $20 rebate and free shipping. UPS delivery service was excellent.
Cons: The product was dead on arrival. Installation offered no power at all.
Other Thoughts: The connectors were long enough, but they could not help the dead power supply. My computer works after re-installation of the old power supply. I did not see any inspection sticker on the unit. Buyers are taking a chance on this item. You may be lucky and win. I opted for refund and lost twenty plus dollars on this deal (re-stacking fee and returned postage). I did not want to give it any star, but that was not acceptable.
Manufacturer Response:I find it odd that you were charged a restocking fee for a DOA PSU. You may want to contact Newegg about that as I don't think that is their standard policy.

It's quiet
Pros: PSU is made by Seasonic so unit is quiet
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: People are overbuilding these days and getting bigger psu's than they need. There is still a lot that a 400W unit can handle.

i really love it
Pros: This is a very high quality PSU. And I am shocked to even recieve such a rebate and get 20 dollars back. Nonetheless, it performs incredibly well.
-This unit is really really quiet.
Cons: absolutely none!
Other Thoughts: I've been struggling with blue screen errors ever since ive purchased a desktop with ibuypower. _with countless times I have tried to adjust/fix the problem, it turned out futile. After I installed this PSU, I longer have that issue anymore. I am so glad.

Looks great a bit weak tho
Pros: Looks great and works good with onboard and dual core. Anything higher and it goes kaput.
Cons: Can't run quad core and decent GFX card. Had to run CPU in dual core and ram at 1066 to make a 5870 video card work. Last 400 watt I had ran this rig flawlessly.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad product just not as good as I hoped.
Manufacturer Response:Based on the specifications published by AMD, you purchased the wrong PSU. This PSU also does not have the correct number of 6 pin connectors as it is not intended for cards like your 5870. FROM AMD: ATI Radeon™ HD 5870 System Requirements PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard 500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode) Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of Certified products Minimum 1GB of system memory Installation software requires CD-ROM drive DVD playback requires DVD drive Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive For an ATI CrossFireX™ system, a second ATI Radeon™ HD 5870 graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready motherboard and one ATI CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect cable per graphics card (included) are required

Quiet and ample power
Pros: Its an energy efficient 80+ hence it doesnt produce a lot of heat. Fan turns on but and its whisper quiet as long as you keep your power supply away from you in the back. pci-e connetor, plenty of sata connectors. wires are sturdy.
Cons: are there any? this PSU gets the job done.
Other Thoughts: 400w was more than enough for me. my core 2 system w/ a moderate pci-e graphics card barely pushes out 150w peak.

Good power supply
Pros: Got it on sale. Plenty of connectors using it with a AMD X3 720 Phenom II and an ATI HD 4770 video card. Plenty of power and quiet. The connectors worked better for my Gigibyte 785g motherboard since they matched all the MB connections better than the 330w I replaced.
Cons: None really.

Works! What else is there?
Pros: Well, it works... Has the 8 pin Motherboard connector.. This is definately a PSU for a micro ATX board though, only one PCI-e Card Plug, so no dual GPU with this... Construction seems well done. Relatively Quiet..
Cons: None

Good PSU
Pros: It's been working great in my gaming PC for about a year. Fan is very quiet. Voltages look good and regulation is good.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I'd buy another one without hesitation. Newegg is the best.

great PS
Pros: powerful enough for me runs quiet get the job done
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Using this PS with Gigabyte 785G and AMD X2 550 unlocked to X4 B50, OCed to 3.6G Hz, in an Antec Solo case, with 4 HDs and 2 optical drives, plus a 9500GT. I can hardly hear the sound when it's on.

Great lightweight
Pros: For 400W it hasn't let me down yet.
Cons: If you have the money, go bigger.
Other Thoughts: I have low voltage hardware compared to most; my Q6600 G0 and 8800GT also ran on a 250W Shuttle PSU.

does what it says it does
Pros: does what it says it does. rebate documentation was received. 8 weeks later, it has been approved. they said i should receive my rebate by nov 25 2009. so props to corsair. they are actually sending me the rebate they promised... this has help built my trust with Corsair. There's nothing worst then feeling you've been deceived by a company.
Cons: none that i've noticed.

Good voltages
Pros: My voltages are more stable and this power supply works better than my old 520watt dual 12v rail power supply. I replaced it because it is important to have a high quality power supply if you care about your components.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Not the best cable organization but it's not terrible either. This is a great PS for a large case... like my Antec server tower...

WoW
Pros: Great for first build. Although it's only 400w it works like a charm. I have a 4850 that reccomends a 450w and even at max stress it never fails. Good QUALITY psu.
Cons: None

Corrsair Power Supply 400W
Pros: Great value for an 80 PLUS Certified unit and a corsair PSU on top of it.
Very stable and runs fairly cool.
Also, really silent.
Client is very pleased
came with some cable ties which was a nice touch
Cons: Not modular? Of course, at this price point and an 80 PLUS Certification I don't think you can find one that is.

Great before it died
Pros: Great look, convenient cable arrangement for me and fairly quite running power supply.
Cons: Died after 45 days. I called Corsair and so far they are making it fairly easy to get a replacement, but it is any unneeded hassle. Luckily, I had a spare PSU sitting around to keep my CCTV DVR up and running.

Quiet
Pros: Quiet Cheap Stable Sleeved cables
Cons: none...a modular power supply would be nice but not realistic at this price point
Other Thoughts: Love it. 120mm fan, quiet power supply, and high efficiency...a steal at this price.
