Good Stuff
Pros: First off newegg got to me in 3 days with free shipping. Have had it for about a week and so far on my build it's working great! Voltages look good, and are in line with the processer upgrade coming in the near furture. Also quiet which is nice, leaving my gfx to the the loudest component in my case.
Cons: None really, had all the hook-ups I need for future upgrades with the power to handle it.
Other Thoughts: Mid size case owners keep in mind that the cables are kind of long and should measure out how far your components are then keep the rest neatly bundled.

Good cheap power supply
Pros: Has all the cables you could possibly want. Voltages look good. Runs an HTPC with ease, and I have no doubt if I were to put in more harddrives or a more powerful processor this PS could handle it. The fan in the PS is very quiet as well, which was a big plus for me.
Cons: It's not modular. I used this in a microATX build, and I wish I'd gotten a modular PS.

Good
Pros: Stable Power, PFC active
Cons: Only has a 4 pin 12volt connector. Not that big of a problem, but it's annoying.

VERY nice power supply for the price!
Pros: Great price, appears very solid and well-designed, very quiet! Runs my BFG ATX 280 OC just fine, which is what I bought it for. I am very impressed by OCZ directly responding to comments, have never seen that before! I also like the fact they have a direct contact for rebate issues.
Cons: None whatsoever (haven't gone through the rebate process yet, I wanted to make sure it was working okay for a few days first. If able to edit this post I will try to do so).
Other Thoughts: I like doing rebates because I like great deals. It seems a bit cumbersome to have to register online, then print out the forms, then wait TIL YOU GET THE DEBIT CARD to request a check be mailed, then WAIT AGAIN (I personally greatly prefer a check, as I almost always pay cash unless I want to extend a warranty using a credit card). WHAT THE HECK - if you have a rebate option LET US SELECT IT WHEN WE REGISTER! FYI you can always cash the debit card at the bank - there is no fee.

Good Build Quality but fan failed after 3months
Pros: Good specs and build quality. Was Quiet initially.
Cons: Suspect that the Fan bearing got loose. The 120mm fan design has it very close to the metal fan grill and it started rubbing on the metal and was noisy. I bent the metal grill away farther and was quiet for a month, then fan started hitting again. Did this 2 more times and finally gave up and replaced the fan. New, Alternate fan has plenty of room and will never hit, so they had a poor choice of original fan design. Original Fan has the wires soldered and glued into place, rather than have a common 3 pin connector, so it's not easy to replace.
Other Thoughts: I wanted to swap out noisy fan myself to avoid waiting a week or two for a replacement but OCZ says no can do. Have to send it in. Main internal Aluminmun heatsink has 340V on it, geez. be sure to unplug the main power.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry that you had a fan issues. This is not common, and we would have gladly sent you a replacement under warranty. Thank you

Great PSU!
Pros: Silent, works as advertised. Great price to performance ratio.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This is a great addition to any silent or HTPC build.

OK so far !!
Pros: Great PS for my older Gateway Media Center computer, actually I replaced an intermittent 300W Gateway factory PS. After about 6 weeks, 24-7 usage, o problems.
Cons: NONE, except I should have purchase 2 so I would have a spare, You can't beat Newegg's prices $30.00 and free delivery.
Other Thoughts: I wish Newegg would put back on sale!!!

Great Supply
Pros: Very quiet, using PSU in HTPC. The 120mm fan keeps PSU cool. I have the fan intake on the bottom side of case, so not much air gets in, but PSU remains cool. Running E6320, mem, 8400gs, TVcard, card reader, burner, 1T drive, water cooling and PSU still cool.
Cons: None thus far

Pros: I connected 2 DVD rom, 4 sata HD, AMD phenom II x810. 4 fans. It's Good.Quite.
Cons: I have 2-3 times fail to power the PC. I pressed power button, nothing happen. Press again, it's on. Don't know why. .........
Manufacturer Response:Hello, it sounds like you may have a problem with the switch on your case. If it doesn't make good contact when you press it, this will happen. If you would like some assistance with troubleshooting, please visit our support forums at the link below. We are always happy to help.

not the greatest
Pros: Powers my Phenom II X3 720 and 4850 just fine I suppose. Havent had it for a very long time though so I guess we'll see how it goes.
Cons: Dont let them lie to you, this thing has no 8 pin power connectors. It comes with one 4 pin and two 6 pin, not a 2+6 pin, I dont know where they're getting that from. My motherboard required an 8 pin power connector and this thing did not have it, nor did I have a adapter. I read around and decided I would just use the 4 pin and it appears to power it just fine, but i would be alot more comfortable if it had an 8 pin.
Other Thoughts: This is really a budget psu. It will power most pc's just fine but if I were you I would try to get something a little better. I think their ModXStream series is better and on average only a bit more expensive, plus its modular so I would go with that if I were you. Or you could get a Corsairs which is alot better but are quite a bit more expensive.

Respectable value but poor performance in SLI/CrossFire
Pros: The unit was about 40.00 after rebate and came with free shipping. Above average RMA process but expect at lest 3 days of down time.
Cons: The unit cannot effectively support more then one PCI-E graphics cards. My system ran 2 4850s in CrossFire using a molex adapter to get the 2nd PCIE power supply. It was clearly over stressing the low voltage rails on the supply and lead to system instability. After 6 months of use the unite failed likely from the abuse on its low voltage rails. Also note that the fan is a bit louder then other 120mm power supply's I have owned.
Other Thoughts: If I could give it 3 1/2 eggs that what I would have gone for.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you problems, but we do not recommend this PSU for dual video card use. It is not equipped with the required connectors .The 4850 cards you have also require 269w each, according to ATI, so a PSU with 550w minimum, certified for dual card use would be recommended. For dual video card use we recommend that a larger PSU be used, and 650-700w would be a good starting point. Thank you

Great budget
Pros: Great price after rebate! OCZ customer support is awesome, believe it or not.
Cons: Newer OCZ rebates aren't as fast as they used to be, but whatever they still come in.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you keep copies of your rebate submissions. Make sure you're not OVERLOADING your power supply and do realize that this is a dual-rail 18A power supply, meaning you shouldn't be pushing much more than 18A on each rail, so don't think this PSU is meant for some serious SLI or Cross-Fire setups. That's why they have the 600W, and 700W versions, and also the proxstream, gamexstream, etc.
Make your decision wisely. This power supply is sufficient for budget and mid-grade builds.

perfect for the price
Pros: quiet with a good ammount of power can use for pretty much any computer. as long as your not running two video cards and overclocking.
Cons: non so far
Other Thoughts: very nice fan keeps it running cool and has no defects with the power output.

Super Quiet
Pros: Very Very Quiet and just pumps and just like the name says "StealthExtreme" means it is quiet with that 120 mm fan doing its thing moving air
Cons: Rebate took several calls to get them moving on this; said they switched to another rebate "house"

Worth the price
Pros: replaced OEM power supply in a 2001 compaq, made me able to upgrade to some SATA drives for faster speed, very quiet.
Cons: none that I can think of
Other Thoughts: rebate took a tad longer than expected, took 1 1/2 months but was in form of check which was nice and convenient.
nice to have 20+4 plug incase I upgrade computers I can use this PSU again.

Pretty Decent, Rebate Very Slow
Pros: Surprisingly quiet, solid, 3yr warranty, lighted pwr switch, sleeved wires [ not that big on this as they are harder to work with]. Works as expected so far. Far Far better than generic and lower end brands that might fry your PC. So good for replacement psu.
Cons: Too few Sata wires for other than a basic-med build, wires too short for large case, sleeves a bit stiff, NOT 80 PLUS rated [maybe it is close though] - this is pretty big these days as it saves on electric bill. Bought only because of rebate. Would prefer cheque instead of Cit Card.
Other Thoughts: There are other brands that are better and 80 PLUS for same price and same warranty and more wires. Don't understand why the waste of time and $$cost for Citi Card versus cheque - must be something hidden going on.

Good
Pros: Quiet. Sleeved cables. Decent amps on the 12V Rails. Good price. 3-year warranty.
Cons: Not the highest quality or the best voltage regulation.
Other Thoughts: I used this in a build for a friend and was pleased with the lack of noise. It's quieter than many higher priced PSUs. Really a fine choice for a low budget build.

Good supply, bad rebate
Pros: This supply is quiet, has all the connectors you might need, and is as attractive as a black box that provides power can be. For the price range, it is a solid value, and continues to run strong six months later without issue.
Cons: Rebate submitted on 5/18/2009 and received 8/11/2009 in the form of a Citi debit card that charges you a fee of $3.00 per month if unused and has an over-limit fee of $15.00. The Citi service number, 800-522-7458, has a circular phone tree if you attempt to contact a live operator, and directs you to help@citiprepaid.com if you have questions or want to close the account. It is also troubling that so much personal information has been shared with a third-party from a privacy standpoint, and Citi reserves the right to further market to you if you do not opt-out (review the Citi privacy notice that comes with the card for the "Privacy Choices Form").
Other Thoughts: I would rather pay slightly more and forego the rebate and information sharing. Never, ever, ever again.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we encourage our customers to read the agreement and "opt out" if desired. The prepaid card cannot be used for more than the amount of the rebate. If you would like some assistance with any problem you may be having, please email us at rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date of purchase. We will be happy to help. Thank you

Horrible MIR
Pros: Works okay as long as you don't have a high-end system.
Cons: MIR is NOT worth the hassel and it's overpriced otherwise. I sent in my rebate in mid-May and I finally got an e-mail on 8/18/09 telling me that the rebate had been processed. Worst yet, the e-mail told me it would be another 8-10 weeks before I would receive the VISA debit card. So, it could be November before I see any money, which is almost 6 months later.
Other Thoughts: The MIR Form said it would be 1-2 weeks to receive an update on the status. It actually took them 3 months. If I could send this back without penalty, I would do it.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the delay, and are not sure why it would have taken the rebate house 3 months to enter your rebate. If you would like us to look into this for you, please email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date of purchase. Thank you

Rebate Card Stinks
Pros: The power supply works fine for what needed it. However, I would not pay the price without the rebate and the rebate process is not work the hassle!
Cons: It takes almost 3 months to get your rebate and the worst part is you don't get a check, you get it in the form of a prepaid debit card. And you can only use the debit card to make purchases...you can't get cash. If you don't use it within 90 days Citi will charge $3.00 a month (take $3.00 off your card balance).
Other Thoughts: When I bought this power supply it was much less than the current price due to a Shell Shocker discount and rebate. There is no way I would have paid the the current full price for this. There are just too many better power supplies out there for that price.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we feel that the debit card form of payment is as good as cash, in that you can purchase anything you may need. It can be used at restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, online purchases, to pay utility bills, etcetera. We are sorry if this is not convenient for you. Thank you

Works
Pros: Works fine for what I use it for; testing Thoroughbreds and Bartons up to 2.7GHz, and up to 1.95v.
Cons: Tired of the MIR bull. OCZ does this with all of their products. A good deal after all, but a pain.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't depend on it to power a current, high end system, but for the average system, it will be fine.

Reliability
Pros: -Cheap -Decent Wattage
Cons: -Only lasted few months
Other Thoughts: I am getting a replacement, but that takes forever, and cost me 12$ for shipping.

Awesome
Pros: Power supply is great. I love it. It's almost silent.
Cons: None for the power supply. but you would think that after 3 months the rebate would show up... nope. tracking the rebate said it was accepted and it can take up to 12 weeks to get it mailed to me... what a long time. I am guessing they are waiting for the economy to change and so for $20 i can get half a lunch at mcdonalds. lol

Sleek
Pros: Very quite I can't even hear it over my case fans. Nice sheathed cables.
Cons: Cables are kinda short the 4 pin had a hard time reaching in my antec mini 80.
Other Thoughts: Also the black color matches the mini 80s interior perfectly.

piece of unreliable junk
Pros: It ran for a month.
Cons: It let out the magic smoke on 20% load. -Athlon 64 3500+ Lima w/ stock cooler -Asrock A780GXE/128M -Wintec AMPX 2x1GB DDR2 800 -Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 160GB -Two IDE DVD drives -Two Yate Loon 120mm fans -One XClio 25cm fan It's a piece of junk. I ran it for less like 2 weeks total and owned it for seven months.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. It's really not worth it. Get a Corsair 400CX or Seasonic SS-350/400/450/500ET.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Power supplies are designed to blow fuses when either a faulty system component or an internal problem is detected. Please visit the link below and create a support ticket to start the RMA process. Your replacement should work just fine for you. Thank you

Follow up review
Pros: Worked perfectly for 6+ months -- and still does.
I'm 5/5 on OCZ rebates, with two more saying they're approved and check is in the mail in 4 weeks.
Sys:
q9550 2.8 @ 3.8 OCZ Flex EX 2 x2 GB ddr2 1200 2x WD Black 640 GB raid 0 liteon dvd ram 20x pc power and cooling 750 watt thermaltake big water 735 cpu ati 4890 by his 6x blue led fans thermaltake cigarette lighter
the cpu used to be a e8400 3.0 @ 4.5 stable 24/7 also had a gtx 275 instead of the ati but switched
all ran perfect with this ps
Cons: None.
make sure you choose the right rebate period, i think a lot of people fill out the rebate after the ps arrives, and the form is no longer correct as it is in the next rebate period.
Other Thoughts: i bought a pc power and cooling 750 watt as my q9550 wouldn't overclock as high as i wanted and i thought it might be a lack of power, 500 watt is marginal for my system.
turns out i just have a low oc cpu. just wanted to see if it'd be better with more power headroom.
i was going to sell the ocz but i think i'll keep it for my next build that doesn't have a monster graphics card.

PSU OK, no rebate on site
Pros: PSU is fine. Not as many connections as most would hope for, but I don't need the ones that should be there. Works fine thus far.
Cons: The rebate system is a total joke. My promo code ( OCZ2-5574 ) ISN'T EVEN IN THE SYSTEM! I would like the $20 from the rebate, but have NO WAY TO CLAIM MY REBATE.
THIS SUCKS FOR A $20 REBATE.
Other Thoughts: I wish I could get my rebate

Pros: Good price with rebate. Handled an 8800 GT, athlon x2 6000+, 2 hdd.
Cons: I dropped in a 4870 and it started to smell... You know, THAT smell.
Other Thoughts: But it's still running, even though it's making me nervous. Pay the extra cash for some piece of mind.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we have qualified our 600w and 700w GameXStream for use with the ATI 4870 card, and while 500w may be sufficient, we recommend the larger units for some headroom and for long term reliability. Thank you

Good PS.
Pros: I like this PS so much I just got a second one a few days ago [ free shipping + MIR], it looks good, it is stable and quiet, even after a year in a system with at least 12 hours/day of run time. If you can pick this up during a promo with free shipping and get the MIR, then this is a real steal. I do not like MIRs.. however I gave this one a try.
Cons: One minor.. it has 3 SATA power connectors, it should have at least one more.. not enough to remove an egg..
Other Thoughts: The MIR link to register the rebate was not correct on my form MIR form downloaded from NewEgg it should have been: ocztechnology2.4myrebate.com

Rebate takes forever
Pros: The power supply seems to work fine.
Cons: Don't count on getting the rebate for 4-5 months.
Other Thoughts: Wish Newegg offered cheaper FedEx shipping.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry if you experienced a rebate delay. OCZ has recently made changes to our rebate program to eliminate this problem. Our new system features online registration, is faster, more reliable and better serves our customers. We appreciate your business and are committed to providing the customer experience possible. Thank you

Defective out of the box
Pros: Sometimes it goes on sale dirt cheap.
Cons: Extremely poor quality control. I took the PSU out of the box and heard a tapping noise. It was the 120mm fan touching the fan guard. Took a closer look and the fan was crooked in the casing, aka defective. Tried to spin it with a Q-tip and the fan just stops dead hitting the inside of the PSU. Glad I noticed before I installed it and powered it up. Doesn't OCZ have any quality control? A simple power on test would have shown this unit defective. Not likely to have been damaged in shipping since the boxes showed no signs of damage. Now I likely get to pay more money to ship this brand new lemon back to OCZ to get it replaced with a refurbished unit. Yay! Probably be cheaper to replace the fan myself than to ship it back, but then I would have to break the "Warranty Void" sticker on the PSU.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this thing unless it's on sale dirt cheap. And then be prepared to do OCZ's quality control testing for them. Also make sure you open the box and test it as soon as you get it. Don't wait over 30 days like I did cause then Newegg will make you deal with OCZ. That was my mistake, won't happen again. This thing ain't worth more than a twenty and a fiver at best, so don't pay more than that. I'm glad I didn't.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry for the problem. OCZ has a quality control program, and we take this type of seriously, although this is a very rare occurrence. Please RMA with Newegg for a fast replacement. Thank you

Works Great
Pros: Replaced an old PSU that came with my case. The computer is 4-5 years old now and this power supply works very well. I like the large fan and the cables are well organized.
Cons: The rebate process is a bit of a pain because you have to register online and their website sucks! But hey, I got a great deal.

Solid PSU but too few SATA conn.
Pros: Good value and built well (case, wiring, fan). Used in a new PC build as my 2nd-best workhorse (AMD quadcore & 8GB RAM); fortunately the two SATA connectors are just enough for my purposes. Has been functioning flawlessly for months. Received a vendor rebate ~4 months after submitting.
Cons: None; thanks NewEgg and OCZ
Other Thoughts: The only PSU I've ever owned with a lighted power switch (bright blue).

Pros: Got this while on a major sale coupled with a Mail In Rebate. Considering the price I paid, it's an exceptional psu. Stays relatively cool, and is about average for noise level. 80+ efficiency.
Cons: OCZ is sub par on it's MIR turn around. It was honored, but took approx. 6 months. The check went through and hasn't bounced as of yet... I've read too many stories about them bouncing rebate checks, or not honoring supposedly valid ones.

Great PSU - Bad mail-in rebate policy
Pros: This is a great power supply. Nice and heavy, good airflow, powers my beefy system quite well. No complaints at all about the hardware. It's great stuff so far.
Cons: Make sure you get the mail-in rebate to them as soon as you get the unit! They have a pitifully small time period to allow you to get it to them (I think I read 21 days), and you'll get a denial if you send beyond that. I had mine mailed less than a month later, but apparently after 21 days, and of course got denied. Very disappointed in the deadline for the mail-in rebate. I'd say don't even bother considering that this has one.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you missed your rebate deadline. We encourage all customers and potential customer to download and read the appropriate rebate form so that they are familiar with all terms. Details are listed and exceptions can only be made in cases where an unavoidable RMA or shipping problem has created a delay in filing. If you feel you meet this criteria, we would be glad to assist you. Please email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date purchased. Thank you

Great value Power Supply
Pros: Fit perfectly into a Dell E521. It's quiet, and provides plenty of power to my video card. PCI-E 6 pin connector.
Cons: 2 SATA connectors? Really? I've got 2 SATA hard drives and 2 SATA DVD burners. I had to go to the store to get a 4-pin to SATA converter to get everything powered up. The Dell E521 305W PSU that came with my computer had 4 SATA connectors.
Other Thoughts: Perfect for my folding machine. Still waiting on rebate. We'll see if it comes.

Okay
Pros: Solid power for most computing needs. Able to provide power to a rig with up to one vid card but no more.
Cons: Only has 3 SATA connectors. This is a problem with this PSU and PSUs from other vendors. Many systems built now that are in the 300-500 Watt range are going to need more than 3 SATA connectors. I built one system recently that needed 4 and it only pulled 397 Watts under load. Minus an egg for this over site.
PSU vendors you need to have a minimum of 6 SATA connectors on a PSU of this class.
Other Thoughts: Can't comment on reliability so can't give it an egg for that yet.
Would recommend for any basic or entry level gaming build. Overall this is a good PSU. If it had more SATA it would be better.

Good PSU
Pros: 120mm fan is quiet and stable. The cables are sleeved. Looks quite nice. AMAZING price with the rebate. Rebate is confirmed and on its way.
Cons: It would be personally preferable if the 120 mm fan was lit.
Other Thoughts: I bought a OCZ StealthXStream 700W 2 years ago for my main rig and it's still running without a problem. So I bought this for another rig. The 700W version had a blue LED fan so I thought this would have one too. I am surprised it does not, but this is just a cosmetic preference.

Worth it
Pros: Over six months without a hitch. Steady power even with running a BFG 9800GTX+ OC and I had to join two 4pins to create the extra power.
Cons: I had to join two 4pins to create the extra power, my fault though, didn't do DD.
Other Thoughts: Next budget build will include this PSU.

very good
Pros: Quiet, efficient, airflow, inexpensive.
Cons: Could have more SATA/peripheral connectors. Could have fan-speed probe connector. Cables too short for Antec mini p180 -- to channel them behind the MB. Molex connectors appear to be on the cheap side.
Other Thoughts: It replaced Antec TruePower 380W in a Sonata case, 2004, (still working around the clock, but turned loud); now GA-MA78GM-US2h, Phenom II 940, 8GB RAM. Iddle wall-power consumption dropped from 88W to 64W (Kill-A-Watt). Load wall power consumption dropped ~30W. This week there is a better deal -- OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W.

annoying
Pros: The fan is pretty quiet. There are plenty of molex and sata power plugs (for what im doing anyhow).
Cons: It emits a continuous high pitch tone when it is plugged in. This is very noticable from across the room. This tone changes when I plug in or unplug a network cable (sensitive to different power draw while the system is powered off I guess).
Other Thoughts: When powered on the noise is not noticable or its just being covered up by the fans in the system. Im just glad this is installed in a windows home server machine that is on most of the time.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, when the unit is on, a small amount of power is being produced. This keeps power the motherboard (saves the battery) and assists the sleep and suspend modes. It is also possible that the NIC on your motherboard is actually making the noise (I have had this happen myself). Isolating these sounds can be difficult. If you have any concerns in the future, please visit the link below and create a support ticket. We will be glad to answer any questions or to start an RMA if required. Thank you

2 Bad Units
Pros: It has a pretty blue light on the power switch
Cons: I just received my second unit, because the first one was dead. Guess what, the second one does the same thing. I hooked them both up to my power supply tester and the 20+4 is an issue. The +4 port is not producing enough voltage (acording to my tester, its not producing any...) I would not recommend buying this unit.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Please visit our support forums at the link below for assistance with troubleshooting. We can also arrange for a replcment unit if required. Thank you

OCZ StealthXStream 500W
Pros: Very rock solid power supply. It seems very well built and the fan is extremely quiet considering there is 8 fans in the case. including the CPU Fan. Havent had any problems what so ever since it was purchased.
Cons: No cons unless the power supply fails/dies

Bad unit again...
Pros: It looks pretty!...
Cons: ...but that's about all I can say about it. The first unit I had made a high-pitched, whiny-crackle sound while in use or simply plugged in. RMA'd it. The replacement unit does the same, only worse -- and causes the mid-range machine it's powering to randomly lock. Hopefully, Newegg will refund my money, as the unit will have cost me about $20 in fees to return it to them.
Other Thoughts: 2 of 2 power supplies bad. Not a good record for OCZ in my eyes. I bought it because of the rebate and they usually make good products. Obviously, I won't get this rebate (which is the 4th OCZ rebate I've been borked on), and I will have spent more than the difference of a known-good PSU in return shipping fees. I'm finished with this company.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are very sorry for the problem. This problem sounds unusual. Please visit the link below and create a support ticket. List your problem and say that you were sent by the OCZ rep at Newegg. Our support staff will take care of you. Thank you

rebate scam
Pros: worked.
Cons: rebate is scam. rebate sent in time. The rebate status is processing for 5 months. Every time, I call the agent, they always it is being processing, and not ETA. I will think twice before I buy OCZ product specially with substantial rebate. It is scam.
Other Thoughts: I will think twice before I buy OCZ product specially with substantial rebate. It is scam.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the rebate issue. OCZ does not run illegal scams. The problem is with our old rebate system. We will gladly look into your rebate and see why you have not received it. Please email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date purchased. For any future purchases, we have adopted a new web based rebate system that is faster and more reliable. This was done to better serve our customers. Thank you

It makes power
Pros: It makes power, and it makes it cheap. can find on sale with MIR and free shipping.
Big copoling fan to help move air out of your case.
Cons: Big cooling fan makes some noise when under light to moderate load.
Tempted to do somethign about the noise, something involving a soldering iron.
Other Thoughts: After not hearing other cheaper brands and much more expensive brands the amount of noise and air being moved for the moderate amount of heat actually coming out of the unit itself is almost silly.
Louder than the stock heatsink of a AMD 7750, and 4770 overclocked. Almost as loud as a prescott stock fan.

Six month update
Pros: Great PS for mid level gaming system, fantastic performance considering the price.
You can find cleaner power, but you'll have to pay for it ... about twice as much per watt.
I've had this six months, and it's worked as well as I could expect.
Nzxt Case with 7 120 mm fans, 5 w/LEDs.
Old System:
AMD 9950 x4 2.6 @ 2.9 Gigabyte 780G OCZ DDR2-800 4x1 GB Diamond Viper 4870 512 mb oc'd to 780/1100 x4 (stock 750/900x4) WD Black 640 GB x2 raid 0 OCZ SSD Core 2 30 GB OS drive Lite ON DVD RAM 20x Thermaltake Xray cigarette lighter
New system:
intel e8400 dual 3.0 @ 4.3 Gigabyte p45 Corsair XMS 2x2 GB DDR2 1066 eVGA GTX 275 ~700/1220 x2 same drives and cig. lighter
I can play a game and light a cigarette/charge my phone or GPS at the time with this OC'd system and OCZ SXS 500 watt PS.
For $30 that's a great deal.
Cons: Extreme OC'ing on my video card and cpu has occasionally led to system chokes that could be due to lack of necessary power, but probably I just overclock too high. Once i reduced clock speeds I stopped getting locked up ...
I'm hoping more, cleaner power will get me better OC results and I want to get ready for dual video card set up anyway, so I moving up to a more expensive brand and more watts.
Other Thoughts: I'm 5 of 5 on OCZ rebates (old mail in system - 2x ram, SSD, PS, thumb drive. Waiting on sixth for CPU cooler).
Given that I've never been denied a rebate, I am convinced that most turn downs are the mistake of the customer.
I suspect they download a form from the product page after they get the product delivered and installed, and end up with a form for a later rebate period.
How can I be 5 for 5 if OCZ rebate partner is scamming so many people?
OCZ forums are great not only for rebate help but also for product support (esp. w/SSD hard drives).
I'm a big fan of OCZ.

Great Bang for your Buck!
Pros: For such a low price, this is a very high quality PSU. Very quite and it has a nice fan and look to it. OCZ is an excellent brand too! Has SATA power cords too.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I don't understand why there are complaints about the rebate. You can have them ship it in 5-7 days, or 8-10 weeks. They obviously weren't paying attention. Although 500w is low these days, it is a great case.

Impressed
Pros: Looks great when installed at the back, Pretty quiet compared to my last PSU. Quality PSU, Fits right in place.
Cons: The 3rd SATA connector (there are actually 3 SATA connectors running on a single straight wire) was a bit short to my Hard Drive. Not too much of a problem, did a little adjustments to my case, etc, fitted. There also is a small capacitor whine when the computer is off, nothing big though.

PSu works fine; rabate was a hassle
Pros: Power supply works fine and very quiet with heat sensor controlled fan speed: slow when cooler and faster when hot; no lightsd no LEDs and only a dimly lit blue main power switch: fine by me
Cons: OCZ hooked up with a lame rebate "processing" firm that FINALLY sent me a check after I kept calling after I found their main 800 number or their corporate page and not on the "search your rebate" page. I also emailed OCZ directly several times who took my info and said that they expedited the rebate firm to actually act on cuttting me a $35 check. So all in all my 500watt OCZ PSU cost me dollars twenty US after all this hassle of about 5.5 months Not a typo: 5 and a half months is what it took.
Other Thoughts: I wish to see this review online. Will be looking to see if it makes it.....

Absurd rebate
Pros: No comment
Cons: My main problem regards the rebate process - you have to log on, fill in a 5 web page form, print the form at the end of the process and then mail in this form with UPC, etc. What a waste of time obviously designed to discourage using the rebate. They even propose charging a "small fee" to get the rebate faster than 10 weeks! and, when you do get your rebate it will be a Visa pre-parid card. After you receive the card you can call in a request that a check be mailed to you. Could a rebate process be made any more difficult? This is a joke and had I realized what a scam this was I wouldn't have bought the power supply and will not buy anything again with this type of rebate system
Manufacturer Response:Hello, OCZ recently responded to customer requests to adopt utilize a more reliable, web based rebate system. We feel that this system better serves our customers. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience for you. Thank you

Pros: I've built about 4 machines with this PSU. All 4 run rock-solid. One runs an 8800GTS 512MB and Core 2 combo. Another runs an AM2 combo with an 8800GT 512MB, another runs another AM2 combo with an 8800GS, and I forget what the specs on the other build were.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Perhaps some got unlucky, but I jumped on this PSU every time I saw it for 30 AR. GREAT VALUE!! OCZ PSUs might die from time to time... not always, but it doesn't bother me b/c the several times I've RMAed RAM or PSUs to OCZ, they are ALWAYS TOP NOTCH SERVICE AND FAST!! :) I'm a big time OCZ fan (not fanboy)... I respect the company for great service.

It was fine for a little while!
Pros: Using the unit to power an E8400 proc, mid-range board, one HD, and a 9500GT video card. It was fine for a while...
Cons: ...and then started emitting a high-pitched whine just before it'd stop working all together. After unplugging it for a few minutes, it'd fire back up, and then run 'n' whine for a little longer. Replaced with a 350W unit I had lying around in the mean time.
Other Thoughts: Now, I have to RMA the unit. Thankfully, I didn't cut the UPC out for the rebate yet -- which I likely wouldn't get anyways -- so I can just send it back to Newegg. OCZ's a good company that makes good products. Their rebates suck -- but that's not their fault! I'm chalking this PSU up to 'faulty unit', but for that, it deserves one egg.
Manufacturer Response:Hello we are sorry for the problem. A replacement unit should work fine for you. We can assist you with your rebate if you email rebates@ocztechnology.com and explain the situation. Thank you

Junk Product, worse customer service
Pros: None
Cons: junk
Other Thoughts: The unit stopped working properly so I contacted OCZ, who issued an RMA. Rather than sending a new unit and just charging you if you don't return the defective unit, they force you to be without a computer for weeks. It has been 3 weeks since I sent the defective unit and I still have no update on the replacement. This will be the last product I purchase from OCZ. Buyer beware!
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the RMA delay. OCZ has taken credit card info and cross shipped in the past, and quite honestly it doesn't work out. Many customers were not shipping their units back, and many of those disputed the charge with their CC company which meant a loss for OCZ. Unfortunately we had to suspend the program. Please visit the link below and create a new support ticket to inquire about your RMA. You can call, but the ticket may be easier. Thank you

Nice PSU
Pros: A little smaller than my old PSU, plenty of connectors, stable power, plenty of power, quiet with the fan, fan speed connector, great price.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Best PSU I've had. Phenom 940, works flawlessly.

solid psu, great value with rebate
Pros: 500W is plenty for my system. This psu is very quiet. Best of all, there was a huge rebate that made it an irresistible price.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: It powers an Athlon 64 3700+ in an nForce 430 (GeForce 6100) mobo with a GeForce 7600 GT card, one 3.5" hdd and a dvd-rw drive. It's my spare StarCraft/UT2004 box for when someone unexpectedly shows up at a party without a system.

rebate update
Pros: OCZ took care of the rebate problem, as they said they would. I received it a few days ago, for the correct amount. The power supply has been running for about 3 months, super quiet, with no issues.
Cons: After filling all the rebate paperwork out properly, getting a rebate rejection postcard (in error), having to go to a forum, post the issue, send another email explaining everything, and then scan and send photocopies of everything I've already sent was both stressful and time consuming.
Other Thoughts: This review is an update to my first review, dated 3/4/2009 2:58:21 PM. In that review, I said that I'd send out an update if I ever received the rebate. I received the rebate, for the correct amount ($35) a few days ago. I hope OCZ has changed rebate companies. Newegg, please raise the 2 eggs to 4 eggs in that review. The product, especially for the price after rebate, gets 5 stars. The rebate process should knock it down a LOT, but OCZ kept their word, and the power supply is great, so I'll give it 4 stars overall.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are happy that you have received your rebate. We greatly appreciate your patience. OCZ has changed over to a more modern, web based rebate system that is more accurate, faster, and will much better serve our valued customers. Thank you

Perfect
Pros: Perfect for my needs. My goal was to build a budget PC for under 500 bucks. I thought I would have to skimp on the PSU. Finding OCZ StealthXStream 500watt PSU was great. At 50 bucks you might think you'd be getting a cheaply built PSU but you'll be shocked to see that the OCZ unit is very well built. It came with all of the needed outlets for my build and all of the wires were neatly wrapped. It has some room for expansion as well.
Cons: No SLI and No Crossfire support. But read before you buy. For a budget build this PSU is the right price and more importantly the right quality. Cords are short but for a MidATX you'll be fine.
Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this from Newegg but got the very similar price. I'd buy a OCZ PSU again based off the build quality of this experience.

Did not buy because of poor rebate reputation
Pros: Price
Cons: Too many poor feedback comments on this forum.
Other Thoughts: I would have purchased this supply except for the poor reputation that OCZ has with rebates.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we would like to let you know that in the interest of better serving our customers, OCZ is now using a web based rebate program. You will find information on the posted rebate form. The new program is both reliable and very fast. You can buy OCZ products with the assurance that all valid rebates will be paid. Thank you

Good PSU
Pros: The fan is pretty quite on it. 500 watts seems more then enough for my 8800GT which is the reason I had to upgrade my PSU anyways.
Cons: None other then it won't support SLI or Crossfire. Rebate requires you to jump though hoops but in the end if you do it exactly right and jump 3 times spinning left to right to left then you will get the rebate.
Other Thoughts: For the price you get good quality. just be sure your going to be running a single video card with this since it only has ONE PCI express 16x power cable.

None more black
Pros: It's so black, it's like, how much more black could it be? Whether it's a car or a computer power supply, black is always fastest.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Bought as part of low-power rig. See more info on my review of ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (N82E16813131324); see "Virtualization platform".

Good not Great
Pros: Works like its supposed to, I received the rebate.
Cons: It doesn't support crossfire, that is my fault I should have read more carefully before I purchased it.
Other Thoughts: I did receive the rebate which is definitely worth mentioning since I have heard so many stories about OCZ's rebates. But my experience was painless, had to register the rebate online, then mail it in. I got a confirmation e-mail a couple months later and received the rebate next day.

Power Supply is great - but forget any rebate
Pros: Power supply is quiet and has low heat - I like the power supply - it does everything the you would want or need.
Cons: Like others I was burned by the rebate offered at the time. There was a 40 dollar rebate and you had 12 days (I believe) to file for the rebate. I followed the instructions and it is now April with no rebate. The power supply is good and worth the price, but what about the supplier integrity.
Other Thoughts: Consider the rebate issue when buying
Manufacturer Response:Hello, OCZ rebates have had a 21 day time limit for filing for quite sometime now. We would be happy to look into your rebate. Please email us at rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product purchased and date of purchase. We will see that all valid rebates are paid. Thank you

Easy Install! Works Great
Pros: This power supply works great! It was easy to install and I feel much better about this than the one that shipped with my original tower. So far so good.
Cons: None that I can tell at this point.
Other Thoughts: It's been 9 weeks and I still don't have my rebate check. The website says there still processing.

Works fine
Pros: Works as expected
Cons: Not enough molex connections for a large case (Antec NineHundred) as it has bunch of fans. I used two IDE devices which added to the need. If you dont have IDE, it should be fine even for a case with mulitple fans.
Other Thoughts: Rebate takes a long time. I submitted it in 1/09 and not it finally shows it is approved(3 and 1/2 months later).

OCZ REBATES???
Pros: Great Power Unit: works well and is quiet. Newegg's service was fine, but OCZ's wasn't.
Cons: I NEVER RECEIVED THE REBATE FROM OCZ AND IT HAS BEEN THREE MONTHS SINCE I MAILED IT TO OCZ. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT I DIDN'T RECEIVE A REBATE FROM OCZ. NOW THAT I'M ZERO FOR TWO ON THERE REBATES, I DON'T PLAN ON PURCHASING OCZ PRODUCTS ANYMORE.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the rebate problems. Please contact our internal rebate staff at rebates@ocztechnology.com . Stealth is right!
Pros: I bought it was an upgrade for our home computer which is slotted to eventually be a HTPC, so I wanted a supply that had the juice but was also quiet. Found it! Very good power supply that is every bit as quiet as advertised. Now I've got to get a new CPU fan because it sounds like a jet turbine compared to this supply.
Cons: None to speak of at this point.
Other Thoughts: Thanks Newegg for great OP, Support and quick shipping.

Pros: 500W, has 3 SATA power connectors not 2, purchased during rebate period ($20 rebate), and has been working like a charm. I like the fact that unlike my previous power supply (that came with my previous chassis) the cables are easier to connect and I didn't spend as much time with the motherboard manual lining up where I need to plug things in (re: audio, usb, etc.) - these particular connectors are bundled together in the proper order (still need to do LEDs individually, though).
Cons: Purchased in January and still no rebate check? What's the deal OCZ?

I got took to the cleaners guys, no box, no rebate info at all
Pros: I liked all the qualities that this power supply has, it is ultra quiet, i built what I would call a top end system and this has no problem running my 4 WD 1 TB drives, my Phenom II x4 ,Geforce 8800 GT X ,Biostar TA 790gx mb . I could go on all day long about how nice this PSU is, as a matter of fact, I'm trying to take up as much space as i possibly can so maybe OCZ will understand that it is not right to do the shotty business practices that i have described in the cons section. To everyone else out there that is just trying to see if this is a good PSU, well, yes , it is. I have no issues with it, just buy it cause its a good deal, not because its a good deal on top of some imaginary rebate with a rebate website that is a JOKE and an 800 number to assist you with your rebate issues where no one there knows the extension to the rebate department, and when they finally find it i am given the assurance of an answering machine(yeah, no joke) only to leave a message to deaf ears.
Cons: The reason I gave this unit 1 egg is not because the quality of the product isn't exactly what i needed, I am absolutely sick and tired of being lied to by everyone at OCZ who says that there gonna take care of this and send me the information that I need to send out my rebate, Its now been a couple of months and i have been on the phone with this company every day, I would like to say i don't care but i hate, absolutely hate hate hate being lied to. I would have bought this product without the rebate, so i don't feel ripped off or anything but i was told i would get a 20 some dollar rebate, and i didn't even get a box with my PSU none the less any paperwork, instructions, or rebate information like i was promised. I imagine that my review will be gray boxed with a little letter from OCZ saying that they will extend my warranty and i need to go to this site and how they go out of there way to keep up there end of the bargain, but if they were to pay me minimum wage to this point for th
Other Thoughts: amount of time i have spent on the phone trying to get them to mail me a piece of paper in the mail that from what i here around the world, they aren't going to pay any attention to anyway I wouldnt be usen a Phenom II it'd be I7 all the way man. I mean I have never seen a company duck me as well as they do, guys, its UN-frigging-believable the amount of promises i have gotten to actually doing something for me ratio, I would hate to see how they would react if i needed an RMA. Because of a simple $20 my company will never order another OCZ product, and thats a shame because I have used them on several builds this year. I also will only recommend this PSU in the event that the user likes to roll dice and gamble. And for the people that say"I had no problem, just fill out the info", keep in mind, i got a plastic bag with a piece of tape with my OCZ Stealth Extreme PSU. So i guess once I receive my rebate info, the fun has just begun. Thanks OCZ, but i no longer care about your reba
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the rebate problem. OCZ does not ship our products without boxes or packaging to our vendors. We had a little trouble following your post, so bear with us. OCZ does not process rebates in-house and we are now transitioning to a new web based rebate program that should eliminate such problems in the future. Unless you were put in contact with OCZ directly, or you have been given the email in the next sentence, you have been dealing with the rebate house and not OCZ. To get this straightened out, please contact our internal rebate staff at rebates@ocztechnology.com . They will look into our rebate and will see that the problem is corrected. Thank you

Cons: Bought this in January. Still have not received the rebate. Plug does not stay secure.

Needed adjustment before use
Pros: Quiet operation, sturdy feeling.
Cons: Had to repair it to use it. Would have given it 5 stars but for that.
Other Thoughts: When I first powered up my new rig I had a noisy rattling which I traced to the fan on this power supply. It was not centered properly in the case and was scraping the plastic housing surrounding it, so much so that it would not turn freely when I blew air on it. I had to loosen the grill and adjust the position to stop the noise. Once I got that figured out it was quiet and worked as I had expected, but this was an unnerving start to an otherwise uneventful new build.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. It sounds as though the unit was handled roughly during shipping. We stand behind our products and take all issues seriously. We thank you for the information.

Quiet, Cool, Works
Pros: It cool when you touch it and it's barely noticeable unless you put your ear next to it.
Cons: Could have a few more SATA cables and a second PCI power connector. Also, theres a low (decibel) high-pitch squeal when the computer is not on.
Other Thoughts: Bought two of these, but they wouldn't approve my rebate cause I was 2 days late with sending it out because I had to RMA my processor and mobo, and I wasn't sure if the PSU worked. I better get my second rebate.

Good Power, Bad rebate
Pros: The power is quite and stable.
Cons: Has high pitch noise when PC is off (But, the switch of the power supply is on)
Other Thoughts: I submit $25 rebate from last december and got the rebate after 3 monthes. But, What I received is $20. What happened to my $5? +12 V is a little higer than my taste, but still in error range.

its okay for the price
Pros: -Lotta power -inexpensive with the rebate -just enough connectors -3 SATA (on the same line) -enough molex -pci-e ,6 pin
Cons: The case I used was a mid-tower, so if you're considering buying this, used it in a case smaller than a mid. The cables were all too short, the SATA, CPU pwr, 24 pin ATX pwr, at least the molex were somewhat ok. The cables being too short really made cable management a real headache and backache. Sure it had just enough SATA connectors for a DVD writer and 2 HDDs but they are all on the same line, so I got the HDDs okay, but not the DVD, need a adapter. I wanted all the cables behind the MB tray, but the CPU and ATX pwr all to short.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad product at all, but something in the description like designed for mini towers or something would warn ppl bout the cable lengths. I was really frustrated. You don't be too.

Quiet and solid performance
Pros: I've experience no problems with this PSU. Love the wire covers, makes everything tidy. Very low noise.
Cons: Short cables, so watch out if you mount this in a bottom-PSU-mounting case such as the Antec Three Hundred. My cables BARELY reached where they needed to go, so be careful.

Bought it 4months ago, Still no Rebate
Pros: It seems to still work fine with not much noise
Cons: I bought it 4 the 40$ rebate that should have made it a 20 dollar purchase. Still no rebate and this seems to be a common story with OCZ, if your hoping to get a rebate, I'm not sure how much stock I'd put on that. Don't count on them to keep their word.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the delay in your rebate payment. We have taken steps to eliminate this in the future. We will also make sure that all valid rebates are paid and if you don't receive yours shortly, we will gladly contact the rebate house for you.
