Seems Solid enough BUT....
Pros: Solid power supply. Seems stable thus far
Cons: The EPS (8pin) cable for the motherboard was too short to reach. I am using an NZXT M59 and an Asus P7P55 Pro and the EPS is about 4 inches too short. Be careful when you use a case with a bottom mount PSU.
Other Thoughts: Solid power supply, worth it if you can get a bundle deal or rebate etc. Just be aware of the limitation on the EPS cable.

Good quality
Pros: Solid construction. Modular.
Cons: The cable lengths are a little odd. The power cords for the SATAs have just a little too much room between adjacent connectors to use adjacent HDD slots.
Other Thoughts: I'd purchase again.

Very cool
Pros: Used it to move an old HP a767c to improve cooling and everything went in without a hitch. The fit and finish was excellent and now pc runs 15-20 degrees cooler. I don't know if this is a standard with aftermarket cases but the case has access to the back of the mobo for installing a cpu cooler without removing mobo. Will be buying more products from this manufacturer.
Cons: none

Works great
Pros: First time assembling a computer and pleasantly surprised with the quality of this power supply compared to pre-built systems. Included extra cables and a zip-up pouch to hold them, also the wires were clearly labeled.
Cons: none

Loving it
Pros: Solid, stable, cheap, got it on sale for 69 dollars. I love the OCZ brand.
Cons: I haven't run into any yet, aside from perhaps the spacing on the cables or the fact that the cables are LONG and they all come in 'threes' as previous reviewers said. Some choice in the cables would be nice. Possibly that the little enclosed carrying case was already coming apart along the seams. But neither of these things is enough to dock an egg for. The cables are clearly visible in the picture, if not detailed better in the product specs.
Other Thoughts: I'm running a Coolermaster Storm Scout case, and I know a lot people complain about the length of power cables for the MOBO for bottom mounted Cases. Well, this tower isn't a fulltower, but it is definitely a large midtower, and I had more than ample room. A lot of people complain about a way to turn off the LEDs in it, but it really isn't very bright unfortunately. And, as it turned out, neither are the red LED fans in the Storm Scout, I was kind of digging the whole red, sinister glow idea.

My 3rd One
Pros: This is the third time I have bought this model of power supply. There are absolutely great. They are quiet, reliable, efficient, and beautiful. There is however one issue...
Cons: If you have a full-sized case (or full ATX motherboard) there could be issues with the cpu power pin reaching across the case. This will only be a problem if the power supply is mounted on the bottom of the motherboard. The standard ATX configuration is fine. So if you have a case w/the PSU mounted on the bottom, you **could** have an issue. I have a Silverstone LC10B-E ATX HTPC case and it barely makes it. Just a heads up.
Other Thoughts: Other than 1 corsair power supply, I ALWAYS buy OCZ.

Great Power Supply, "Modular" isn't the word though.
Pros: This power supply is amazing. I am building a computer for the first time and I have read quite a few books, they all tell you that the easiest way to find a power supplies quality is to check how heavy it is. That is why I took a month researching different ones and going to electronics stores. When this one was on sale, I decided that is was worth the chance for $45 AR.
AND WOW, AM I IMPRESSED. It is the perfect weight, about 4-6 pounds for a rough estimate. The light are nice and the fan is amazing. It cools the power supply greatly, but the thing that really amazes me is that it can cool my graphics card and other attachments too!
Cons: There is only too things I found wrong with this power supply.
1. The cables This, in my opinion, is not a modular power supply. Not a real one at least. I'm going to put 2-3 hard drives in my computer, but for now I only have 1. The cables are in trios, So if I plug one of the cables into my drive, I have three other heads sticking out. With a few ZipTies this problem can be easily fixed, but it is still an annoyance. Also the cables that are NOT modular really get on my nerves. The ATX 4-pin connector is not modular so it just clutters the case. But the worst thing is......... The +4-pin motherboard connector. It doesn't secure at all. Using some electrical tape, I combined it with the 20-pin connector. But, it is the fact that OCZ didn't take it into account when building this power supply.
2. The missing switch. This is just a personal annoyance, but I can't stand that this power supply doesn't have any type of switch to turn the lights off. But, that is just personal.
Other Thoughts: This is a great power supply and has all the connectors you would need to build a great computer. It is not a gaming grade power supply in my mind, but I have never gamed in my life. Since people who game suck up a lot of power and make a lot of heat. Half Modular and 550w probably isn't the best match. But if you are like me, who wants a powerful computer for work and daily use. Then this is by far a MORE THAN PERFECT match.
Trust me if you don't do any powerful stuff this power supply is well worth $70 (I would pay $125). But if you need serious power and do serious gaming then get one of the corsair modulars. Just a reminder, this power supply, in my mind, is not considered a modular or gaming grade power supply. But is a great buy for just someone who would like a great computer with a reliable power supply.

Good as expected
Pros: Does just what I expect of a power supply, and the nice fan hasn't added any to my case noise while probably helping air flow. Came in cheaper than I expected for a good quality supply, more than I probably will ever need for what I'm doing with this rig.
Cons: A few non-modular bits hooked up that I just don't need. The cords are long and fairly inflexible. Though I'd much rather them bound like they are than spaghetti throughout my system, fitting them somewhere inside my case was a bit of a pain. In particular, between the binding on the end of the cord, and the questionable positioning of the power hookup on my GPU, it added about 2 inches to the end of the card, thankfully in a deserted space.
Other Thoughts: Old Pentium 4 system from the Blue Man Group commercial days. Got the new PSU to toss in some much needed gaming/TV controlling upgrades.

E-Z
Pros: Really solid looking unit.... Made the stock 300w unit which I replaced look very shoddy.
Simple Install. Having the modular cable system kept thing pretty tidy.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Great product, Great price, super fast shipping.... Thanks Newegg

Rebate finally
Pros: Just a follow up on the Fatality 550/
Still working well with Dual Core and ATI 5770
Rebate:
OCZ Fast Rebate Cost 3.00 They promise to mail it 5-7 B days after approval.
Here is the reality of it.
I mail it
Tues Dec 22 2009 from Mi to CA (2-7Day ship) 12 days to get to them Tue, wed, thurs, (xmas) I probably arrived on the 29th or 3oth and sat in the rebate office for 2-3 days before being processed.
Jan 2 2010 Entered in OCZ computer Jan 8th they approve the claim
its Jan 14th and no rebate.
Jan 26th finally have credit card rebate for 22.00.
So for 3.00 you get your money back in 4 weeks vs 8-10wks from approval. which is really 10-12 weeks total time.
It takes a week to ship it and a week to approve it.
Bottom line is you get your cash back about 6 weeks faster then you would if you did not pay 3.00 extra.
Cons: None so far

Cant say much bad about it
Pros: Works, hasn't broken, and looks awesome. Its easy to use. Running i5 and Radeon 4890. It doesn't complain and feeds them properly. Modular is a plus!
Cons: Really there are non unless you didn't buy it on sale.
Other Thoughts: Just check if this is the wattage you need. Most systems this will do fine. Or if you want a more efficient power supply that they make now.

Well, its a powersupply
Pros: Well the power supply is great; the modular connectivity on the 12v Rails, PCIX, and SATA cables is great since no one wants more cables than they need crowding up the case. The fan is very quiet and the LED's are very dim and tasteful.
Cons: The PSU makes odd noises that are irregular and intermittent but only when mounted with the fan side down. I've been told it could be coil noise or the fan by OCZ but either way it is very annoying.
Other Thoughts: Luckily for me my VGA fan is so loud I cannot hear the noises but when I borrowed my friends XFX 5770 it was very bothersome. Im using a Cooler Master Storm Scout and the PSU is mounted on the bottom and can be oriented fan up or fan down. When I flipped the PSU to intake air from the case the noises were gone, but I don't want my power supply that way. As I said its a great power supply so I can only dock one egg especially considering most of the time I cannot hear the strange noises produced.

very pleased
Pros: modular, is a power supply that works, cables were all plenty long for me on my bottom mounting atx mid tower.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: i was worried that the 4 pin motherboard cable would be short after reading some other reviews. i even went to the extent of ordering an extension cable (which i didn't use). everything worked out fine.

Good enough
Pros: Worked on the first try. Large fan and not too noisey. Good amount of cable connectors. The SATA cable has many connectors on it for Raid setups. Has built-in surge supressor technology.
Cons: 20+4 pin motherboard connectors should be able to be locked together. The 20 pin connector snaps in, but the 4 pin one alongside it does not snap to anything and therefore has a potential for working loose. I have seen this design on many power supplies. Cannot turn the led off.
Other Thoughts: It comes with a little zipper bag for the cables. I would rather pay less and not have to recylce a bag after I connect the cables. I would also like to be able to have external led light switches on power supplies. I don't need to impress anybody with light and would prefer to not have one.

Good PSU
Pros: Excellent quality, convenient bag to store extra cables, modular means no rat nest extra cables sitting around clogging up and blocking air flow. Also sleeved in black goes nicely with black mobo in a black interior case.
Cons: The 4/8 pins 12v connector for CPU is still too short. From top of a tower case, down and all the way to the back of ECS p55H-A I needed an extension just for the last 2 inches without going over the CPU block. I could plug it in if I routed the cable directly over the CPU block but the fan's liable to chew the wire.
Also the 20+4 plug needs a little work. The +4 part has no latch or anything to connect with the 20 pins plug, and it was prone to popping out so I had to hot glue that +4 plug to keep it in place.
-1 egg for these 2 major issues.
Other Thoughts: Plan on getting extension cable if you use full tower case. The 4/8 pins mobo plug and possibly ATX plug may not reach from the top of the tower case. A mini and mid tower case with top mounted power supply should be fine.

Good PSU
Pros: Modular Price Good 12v rails 3 year warranty Sleeved Red led MIR
Cons: 12v rails are way too short for a full atx bottom mounted psu
Other Thoughts: Could've spent the extra $10 from the 12v 8 pin extension on the CORSAIR 550. Other than that annoyance it seems to be a pretty good psu.

For those who need every cable
Pros: It's not listed anywhere on the documentation here on the site, but for anyone who might be nervous about this not being 80+ Certified, it is. Comes in a nice sleek box and installed just as easily as you would expect any PSU to install. It has a wide variety of modular cables, and lucky for the user it comes with a wide variety of sata power cables/moles/6-pins/etc. Chances are if you need a cable, it's in the little baggie. Mesh cables keep things in place.
Cons: It could be a condition of me choosing to install the PSU first and it doesn't affect functionality, but the default cables that are permanently plugged in are very difficult to move out of the way: they're so well-made that it's not easy to lay them facing out of the case or push them aside! Just be aware of this when you think of cable management: it's not worth knocking an egg off for my own mistake.
Other Thoughts: A great steal as when I bought it I was looking at a rebate on top of a reduced price.

Gr8t PSU so far
Pros: How can you beat a modular PSU for this price (rebate)? Has plenty of power for my setup. Runs very quiet and has a red led that matches my rig. Better quality than my last two cheapo PSUs.
Cons: None

Pros: Modular cables, free shipping, rebate.
Cons: Do not buy this power supply if your power supply housing is at the bottom of the case. The 8 pin 12V cable is barely enough to reach. If you have a big CPU fan you will have a hard time plugging the cable to the motherboard.
Other Thoughts: ASUS P7P55D Deluxe, Intel Core i5-750, BFG Tech GeForce GT 1GB, Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit, G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8 GB (4 x 2GB), Hitachi 1 TB HDD, OCZ Fatal1ty 550W power supply.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, bottom mount PSU cases are not built to the ATX standard, and may require extra long cables or a cable extensions. Most of the case manufacturers will supply you with cable extensions free of charge, upon request. Thank you

Pros: Solid power supply. Installation was relatively quick and modular design is great. Quiet as well.
Cons: Cables are a bulky. They are easy to use and look great, but they take up more space. Not an issue for me, but anyone cramped for space or air flow might want to pick up separate cables. I wish you could turn off the red LED, but that doesn't matter much.
Other Thoughts: With the rebate this was an excellent PSU for the money. Feels very solid. We'll see about longevity, but for the time being I would highly recommend this PSU.

Nope
Pros: Works as advertised. The red lights are ok if they add something to your system.
Cons: Fan noise is somewhat louder than the average power supply but tolerable. If you have an E_______x to compare it against you know what a truly silent PS is like.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy this based on the rebate. Customer service is low priority. I got email CONFIRMATION back from OCZ in early November that the rebate was "a go". And here it is months later and still nothing.....I'm putting OCZ at the BOTTOM of my list next time I go shopping.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the rebate delay. We use a professional rebate house, and they apparently fell a bit behind overthe holidays, but are catching up. Your rebate should show up in the next few weeks, but if don't receive it by then, we will be happy to look into it for you. Please email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date of purchase. Thank you

Pretty good
Pros: I bought this about a month ago and have had it installed for about 3 weeks. So far, there has been no trouble. The fan is pretty quiet.
Cons: I'd say that the mail-in rebate is slow, but that's true for all rebates.
Other Thoughts: I can't say anything about the installation process or wires because I had someone else put it in since my previous power supply was plugged very tightly into the motherboard and I didn't want to void my computer's warranty. This is the first computer part I've ever bought (not counting speakers and stuff like that).

Very quiet
Pros: Does what it says. Quiet, cool, efficient. Like the controller. Modular cabling is the way to go.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: If you haven't given much thought to your power supply as an upgrade, time to put it on a front burner. All newer boards, cards are addressing power efficiently, you should too.

Good PSU
Pros: It worked great as it should. No problems yet, I've only had it for a few days but i'll post another update review aftera bout a month or so.
Cons: The cables are a little short, had to stretch things out a bit in order for it to reach the 8-pin power connector on my motherboard.

Awesome PSU, 'nuff said
Pros: I got this PSU as a replacement for a PSU that ran out of stock on me. The red LED looks nice, Dual 12v rails, big fan, and meshed cables. Modular was a big plus for me. Powers my system no problem and i'm confident I'll have room for future upgrades.
Cons: Wasn't designed for a bottom mounting case. The sata power connectors have to be plugged in awkwardly for me, so instead of the power connector just sliding in at its normal right degree angle, I have to kinda twist it over backwards to plug it into my DVD drive. No big deal.
Other Thoughts: Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

Great PSU for the price.
Pros: -Modular -Large Red LED Fan -SLI/Crossfire Ready -Plenty of SATA and Peripheral Cables.
Cons: -None that I noticed.
Other Thoughts: Powered my Intel Core 2 Quad/GeForce GTX 275 system (with peripherals and drives) without a hitch. Highly Reccomend to somebody who is building on a budget or doesn't need too much power.

Excellent value
Pros: VERY CHEAP!! VERY POWERFUL MODULAR!!!! BIG FAN!!!! EFFICIENT (80 plus) very quiet, can't hear even with graphics cards removed. and other fans on low.
Cons: just that the sata cables are a little long. (good for full cases though) with the amount of power plugs available on this supply, i would of liked to have some shorter sata cables with 1 connector per, instead of 3 on a string. (a long string at that)
but this isnt really a major con, and anyone with some cable management skills can take care of it.
Other Thoughts: this is an excellent power supply. not even just "good for the money"...this one is good period. everything about it is quality, the box it comes in, the sticker on the side, the bag for the extra cables. looked inside of it and it was clean in there to. not alot of glue and slag everywhere.
its very stable. no load voltage pci rail was 12.2v, full load with fold@home with all fans on high was 12.1v. not bad. has 50 amps (will run any graphics card and almost all in crossfire/sli) Get it! you wont be disappointed with it, the red led you cant cut off, but if you don't like it you can always pop the bulb :) but i don't mind it.

Five Eggs
Pros: Warning, lots of words ahead.
* Very low price for very high quality. * It powers my new 9800 GTX+ just fine, giving the card the 24A on the 12V rail it wants. A lot of other PSUs in this wattage range didn't provide that! * I'll probably be going modular on any future power supplies. * The product is very professional. The cables are bound neatly in sleeves, and the modular parts were packed in a fiber (not plastic) zip-bag. * The manual is short, but straightforward. Installing it and using the modular cables is very intuitive and color-coded. * I was impressed that the manufacturer replied to every negative review here. It's a nice gesture that many other companies don't make. * I just got the e-mail that confirmed my mail-in rebate information has been received successfully. That's a good sign, no? * Hmm... It still hasn't caught on fire yet? :)
Cons: I am working with a smallish, older case, and I have to admit it took some finesse to get this thing into its holding place. I don't know *how* I'm going to get it back out if I ever need or want to replace it. The cables are also quite crowded, even though I have opted not to use two of them.
Technically, these problems not a fault of the power supply itself. And if I had gone non-modular, my situation would be even worse. I won't deduct any points for it.
Also, as someone else mentioned, there are two types of CPU power cables that are not modular, even though any given motherboard will only accept one type? That's a little odd, but I don't know if it's standard in the PSU industry.
Other Thoughts: I was going to go for one of the popular, high-rated Corsair power supplies, and switched my order to this one at literally the last minute. This product doesn't put out as much wattage as my other options would have, but I don't generally run any high-power hardware (like dual video cards or high-performance processors).
As long as it doesn't ... you know ... randomly die on me, I think I made the best choice.
Thanks, OCZ.

Best bang for the buck
Pros: Absolutely everything. This power supply is absolutely what I needed. Steady, consistent amperage at full load. Provides more than enough power for my new Core 2 Quad and 9800GTX+. VERY quiet and very large fan is lit up by the red LED's and perfectly accents the case I have. Also fits like a glove in the 3 cases I've used. Also very heavy and sturdy design. No expense spared on this baby, this thing even comes with a little case for all the cords that arent used! Runs cool.
Cons: None. Period.
Other Thoughts: To those not very tech savvy, and making a first build, I'd highly suggest this be your PSU. Great continuous power and heat dissipation. You won't be sorry.

Pros: OCZ makes the best quality power supplies in my opinion. Bought a Rosewill and it only lasted for a year, but this is the third OCZ i've bought and none have died or had any problems.
Cons: price, but other than that, NO CONS

Great PSU
Pros: What a great power supply. Ample wattage to all my components! Has plenty of amps on the 12v rail to power demading video cards. Feels of very high quality and the red leds add a nice touch to my cm storm scout. :D The modular cables keep your case nice and neat.
Cons: Didn't know if the fan was supposed to go up or down so I put it facing up. :D
Other Thoughts: This thing powers a quad core athlon and a GeForce 250gts.

Great Product/ Lousy Rebate!
Pros: Works, modular, have had no problems. I'm happy that my Lancool case takes the psu on the bottom. Otherwise I could not take the red light in my bedroom.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: OCZ's rebate program sucks! Submitted the rebate with all documentation, on time and it took a month to get back with me on a no wait debit card. Hope you have better luck, but beware!

failed after a week
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: -No fan on bottom means no flow-through of air for cooling. -Not ATX standard. Bigger then most cases can handle. -Not really modular. Still has both 4 & 8 pin CPU connectors hardwired in. -VERY expensive for the WATTage. Other brands are 1/2 the price on sale. -DIED IN A WEEK. Power on resulted in 1 second system on then shutdown with no restart till unplugged.
Other Thoughts: Bought this because other reviewers made this one sound good quality for the money. Looks like I just got one of the bad ones. Waiting for the RMA replacement from newegg.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. The single large fan is a proven, accepted design that you will find in most enthusiast power supplies. Your replacement unit should work out fine for you. If you have any questions or further concerns, please visit our support forums at the link below. Thank you

Pros: Very nice, high quality, has some nice built in features. The red led is pretty soft but I don't have a clear sided case so I cant really say to effect how well it works
Cons: Had some problem with the sleeving but wasn't anything to major.
Other Thoughts: It came with a rebate but I haven't claimed it yet so I cant say anything about it.

Good Bang for the buck
Pros: Price (providing I get my 25.00 rebate) Modular Jacks Having the CPU and MB power connectors non modular is actually a good thing, no chance for connection being an issue. Stable, powers my intel DG45ID with non OC E5300 and ATI 5770, RAID 1, 1 DVD 2 case fans. No power issues, the voltages are all within normal range and all are slightly hot or overvolted. ie. 5v is 5.02-5.04, 12v is 12.2
Cons: The modular SATA power cord has 3 SATA power ends. In a standard midtower case (PS at top) they easily reach my two RAID drives but the top one is just short of being able to plug into my DVD drive. If OCZ had made the two SATA 1/2 inch closer together it would have worked. I can't move the upper HD any higher and the DVD is at its lowest position.
I feel OCZ should have moved the middle SATA power plug down towards the one on the end by about 1/2 to 1 inch. It still would fit HDs that share the same bay and would increase the distance from the middle plug and the top plug. I just had to use the second SATA power plug to get the DVD drive, which gives me 3 extra SATA. I would have rather put that one away to keep the case tidy (the purpose of modular.
Other Thoughts: I would buy this PS again, I do like the modular despite the SATA cable issue.
OCZ since you put two of these cables in the kit why not make one of them with a greater distance between the first and middle connector? It would take no more wire simply moving the middle connector a little closer to the bottom one.

Good product, company lies.
Pros: Great cable management system though I wish it were a little more efficient, I still have unused plugs along the cables. All in all, easy to install.
Cons: I sent in my rebate in plenty of time, but the company told me I never sent them the invoice. I know I sent it, so they're lying to get out of paying. They told me I could fax them a copy, but who really keeps a fax around the house? I sent them my newegg invoice by email. I wouldn't suggest buying any OCZ product with a rebate unless you want to lose that money.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you are having rebate issues. We use a rebate house for all processing, and it appears that they have made an error. If the problem is not completely resolved, we will be glad to contact the rebate house and will see that all valid rebates are paid. Email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date of purchase. Thank you

Still waiting on rebate
Pros: Power supply works great, very low noise. I use the computer a few hours a day, but I keep it in sleep mode. For the first month I pretty much just had it running 24/7.
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: With the rebate I chose to get a $22 rebate in stead of a $25 one, the rebate was processed on Nov. 17 and I still haven't received my rebate card. If I knew I was still going to wait more than a month I wouldn't have given up the $3
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the unusual delay. Please email us at rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date of purchase, along with a brief explanation. We will contact the rebate house and report back to you. Thank you

Ehh, still good overall, buuut...
Pros: I need 500w, Its 550w. Easy install. Very sturdy, well built. Comes with a smaller case for unused cables. Overall it meets all my power needs. I am very impressed with the reduntant safety features. The rated 100,000 hours of use before failure is nice too. And the price with the rebate is the best part!
Cons: The owners manual is lacking... Everything. Still, there is not much that needs to be in it, but one in a half pages? C'mon. As big is the fan is, it doesent move hardly any air. I hope this doesent become a problem down the road. The modular cables are a disappointment as well. I like the fact that you can use what cables you need and that they are wrapped in an extra sleeve, but this makes them stiff and bulky, thus difficult to arrange as needed. This con combined with minimal air flow is the reason this gets four eggs instead of five.
Other Thoughts: The red LEDs as shown in Neweggs pics are far brighter then they really are. I dont really care about that and as such did not factor that into my overall rating. Still I think its worth mentioning for others who might appreciate such. This was also my first modular PSU and was kinda expecting more then what this product delivered. They seemed really practical untill I actually got the PSU, then it seemed gimicky at best. Still, if I had to do over again, and the deals were the same, I would buy it again. Im glad they didnt put that dudes face on the side of the PSU. I understand endorsements and all, But that guys looks like a stalker, and I cant see why anyone's pick of this product would be influenced by his endorsement. "progamer champion", give me a break. I've been playing PC games since the days of DOS 3.0, never heard of this dude.

Top notch power supply.
Pros: Really beautiful power supply. The fit and finish of the whole thing is perfect. The massive fan and open grill design move a lot of air out of the case. Modular cables are a big plus. 80% efficiency rating is nice, and this thing is rated for SLi or Crossfire with only 550W. Why use a 1 kW power supply if you don't have to?
Cons: It's fairly big for a 550W supply, I'm thinking because of the large fan. I couldn't install the top fan in my mid tower because this power supply sticks out over the mounting holes. Then again, with a 120mm fan in the power supply I really don't need the top fan.

Just Right
Pros: Very solid construction. High quality look and feel. The cables are plenty long enough for my case, which has the PSU mounted at the bottom.
Plenty of power for my build. Phenom II X3 710 Evga 9600GT 2 DVD multi burners, 1 IDE and 1 SATA 4 SATA hard drives
Cons: No cons for me. It does what it's supposed to do.
Other Thoughts: The red LED fits perfect for the "whorehouse" theme I have going in my box.
I bought this unit last spring. It was on sale and it had a rebate, which I DID receive.
Thanks, OCZ and Newegg!

New Review To Correct My Earlier Rebate Slam
Pros: PSU is still a completely awesome piece of hardware. Rebate is (apparently) not a scam after all - see 'Other Thoughts'.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I finally figured out OCZ's convoluted rebate system. The link on the Newegg site had updated to a new set of dates. Once I clicked the rebate link on my e-mailed invoice, I got the correct code and the dates worked as expected.
I am mailing the rebate today - we'll see if they pay out.
I still hate the rebate process.

Nice PSU
Pros: Very nice quality PSU. Runs quiet. Love that it's modular.
Cons: Rebate is a scam so -1 egg. Rebate showed as available when I ordered the PSU on 11/25/09. Now that I've received it and am trying to complete the rebate form, it says it's only available from 12/1/09 thru 12/16/09 and won't let me complete online registration. This alone will probably keep me from ever buying OCZ products ever again.
Other Thoughts: I gotta learn to avoid rebates in the future. They suck and I need to stop rewarding companies that use them. If you can give me a rebate, why don't you just sell it for less to begin with?
Manufacturer Response:Hello, rebate offers change frequently, and they are not a scam, as we pay thousand per year. We encourage customer to download the proper rebate form at time of purchase. Newegg keeps all past rebate offers, so you can look yours up by the purchase date at the link below. Your cost after rebate is often below actual product cost. Rebates work because not everyone files (many customers just do care about rebates), or they do not follow instructions. Thank you

First modular PS - WOW
Pros: This is the first PS I have ever purchased separate from the case. This is also the first modular PS I have ever purchased. The quality of this thing is amazing. It's nearly silent during even heavy operation. The cabling is top notch.
Cons: The only thing I can say is a con is that the cabling is meant for a top mounted case. I had to twist the SATA connectors upside down. This wasn't a deal breaker, just a minor annoyance, and really had nothing to do with the PS so no eggs lost.

4-Pin Woes, But otherwise fine.
Pros: Modular. Hard to find affordable modular power supplies.
On sale and with rebate. Prime reason I bought this.
Cons: Associated with Fatal1ty, who cares? I'm a gamer and I could care less about what the "pros" use. Ditch the sponsorship and knock off a few bucks from the price OCZ.
4-Pin Female Connectors are absolutely terrible! I tried using standard female connectors from another component to make sure it wasn't the male connection that was the problem. No, the 4-Pins were consistently bad and prone to slipping out.
Other Thoughts: Installed into an Antec 300. Saw some concerns about bottom mounted cases, but saw only a couple reviews referencing this case. I've installed two of these power supplies into Antec 300s and have had no problem stretching the mainboard power cable up to the top. It doesn't interfere with anything, even with a 9600GT stuffed in the middle.
Again, REALLY HATE the 4 pin power connectors. They rarely fit and was a total exercise in frustration with much swearing involved.

Scam
Pros: Looks good. Quality seems good. I haven't actually installed it yet so I can't honestly say how well it works.
Cons: The rebate is a scam. OCZ makes the rebate process impossible to comply with. They also require a whole bunch of your personal info so that they can send you spam and junk mail. Nothing against Newegg, but I will never buy anything from OCZ again.
Other Thoughts: Newegg was great as usual. My complaint is with OCZ's unethical rebate scam.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you had difficulties with your rebate. OCZ pays many thousand of rebates per year, and we do not scam our customers. We made rebate changes earlier this year to better serve our customers, and feedback has generally been positive. We use a professional rebate house for processing, and they have assured us that none of your info will be used for the purposes of spam. Great power supply, good price
Pros: Cool, quiet, stable, great modular cables.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: My case is far neater with this modular drive. After about 4 months, its still running cool and stable with a quad core processor and mid range video card. No complaints, and with an opaque case I haven't had any problem with the red light.

Not quite enough power to fire up an X-58 Motherboard...
Pros: Very high quality design, looks and feels like its very well built. Even the box looks cool. Nice touch with the included bag to hold the extra cables that you dont use. and the Red LED fan is whisper quite. Black mesh is tightly wrapped around the cables, overall quality look and feel is top notch!
Cons: Would not power up a brand new Evga X-58 Classified motherboard that works fine. I tested with a VERY light load. Motherboard, geforce 6200 video card, one 500gb hard drive, and a lite on dvd burner. To verify I also tried this power supply on a Evga 780i motherboard that works perfect also, and it would not power that board up either. On both motherboards, when you pushed the power button, it would power everything up for a split second, then everything would power off. Funny thing is this: The power supply would in fact power up a brand new Evga P55 Motherboard though. The only thing I can figure is that the 780i, and the X-58 are high performance boards, and thus require a lot more power, and amps to turn on. The P55 is really a mainstream board. I did have another good working power supply laying around to power up the X-58, and 780i to confirm they both work fine and to prove the OCZ Power Supply is defective.
Other Thoughts: Currently waiting on my rma'd power supply from Newegg. As always, Newegg is the best, they always take care of my needs, and I will continue spending my money here no matter what! I check prices now and then, but when it comes to service, I dont mind spending a few more bucks as long when I need some service, I can get taken care of and on with my day. Newegg always handles my issues very quickly!! Too bad about his power supply being a dud, It really seems to have some potential for a great, low cost psu. Just hope the next one works. If not, I will not be purchasing an OCZ power supply again. This is the first one that I have bought, so we will see what the future holds. I spend a very large amount of money at Newegg each year building computers, so I need products that are reliable no matter what the cost....
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. If you have any further issues, please visit our support forums us at the link below. We can help you with troubleshooting. Thank you

eggcellent
Pros: quiet, cool, everything works! - I have never bought OCZ before--I'm pretty Corsair/Zalman fanatic, and make my computers with every part I can get that these manufactures make. However, being on a budget, I decided to try this OCZ which was on a great deal. - I'm pleased to say it has surpassed my expectations. It's truly a nice little PSU. Modular pieces, great build quality, nice and heavy like they 'ought to be. And zero problems getting it up and running, which is perhaps the most important thing.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I could careless about the LED lighted fans or whatever (only bought it because it was the best deal :P ). - Let's hope it doesn't die quickly :)

Great power for the price
Pros: Great power Quiet fan Modular, always a plus
Cons: None that i can think of
Other Thoughts: Cables just barely made it, but that is because I used a bottom mounted psu case. The fan LED is upside down in a bottom mounted case, giving the impression of led's coming from the bottom of the case.

Pros: just hooked it all up and works great and allows for awesome cable management it being modular and all!!!
Cons: nothing...
Other Thoughts: the red lights on the fan aren't that bright but i could care less.

Decent, but not great.
Pros: It's a power supply. Not much to it. It works, and it's red, that's pretty much it.
Cons: As everyone else said, the cords are short; not too short as to kill the whole build, but just short enough that you need to either buy an extender, or put the cable over the CPU fan. (really not reccomended.)
Other Thoughts: This would be an excellent power supply for anyone with a normal case. (i.e: one with the PSU mount on the top.) Otherwise, the red fan serves no purpose for anyone with a non-standard case. This is my first order from Newegg, and I will most likley order most (If not all) of the computer I am currently building.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, please contact your case manufacturer as the most often supply extension cables, as the PSU bottom mount cases are not built to a "standardized" design. Thank you

Amazing PSU
Pros: I opened the box to this PSU and my jaw dropped, it was beautiful. Everything has the look of quality workmanship, the mesh around the cords, it wasn't a huge mess like most power supplies. This was my first build in 2 years, so it was great to see how far technology has come! You only plug in the connectors you require, the rest you can store in a very nice bag they include for you. The red light is nice and not intrusive. I highly recommend!
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This is an amazing power supply. Buy it and you'll be glad you did.

Does its job
Pros: Does what its supposed to do. Its running an AM3 triple core, single GPU, DVD, 2 HDDS. Plenty of power to spare. Cool red LED, not too bright. Modular is nice for obvious reasons.
Cons: Not a big deal but I wasnt able to hook into both hard drives and DVD with one cable. The 3 connectors on the PSU cables were just a hair too close together to reach all 3 items so I had to run a separate cable. I have a mid tower Lian Li.
Other Thoughts: What can you say about a PSU? It works fine, fan noise seem about average. Couldnt pass up the rebate.

Great PSU (so far)
Pros: So far it's a great PSU. I had to switch to a different PSU after I upgraded my video card and needed different power cables. The detachable cables really helped clean up my case. I have a full tower and all the cables reached fine.
Cons: None so far but I have only owned it for a month or so now. My old OCZ 470W Powerstream lasted me 6 years (and still works today). I hope this one can run the same.

DE-LUX bargain
Pros: Well for starters this SPU looks awesome for anyone who cares. Modulated power cables come wrapped in mesh keeping case clutter low and the massive red led fan stays nice and quiet. The kit even came with a zipper nylon bag to store any power cables you dont use. For the price OCZ doesn't cut any corners.
Cons: Only had the unit for a couple weeks but so far so good.
Other Thoughts: I was originally looking at a cheaper power supply but for a few more bucks it feels good to know your system components aren't straining your power supply unit. Oh.. and power consumption looks pretty low during idle conditions.

Perfect
Pros: Provides all the power needed for my 4870 and then some. Red LEDs add to my 3 red LED case fans to make my storm scout light up like a christmas tree.
Cons: Installed upside-down because the case is on carpet, therefore I can't see the sticker on the side.
Other Thoughts: Perfect for the average gamer on a budget.

Pure Awesome
Pros: I haven't a clue what these other people are talking about the LED's being OP much less "loud". This PSU is as quiet as a whisper under load, LED's aren't intrusive what so ever, if anything I'd add more.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Customer support was awesome- for the question i had about one of the pins in the mobo connector.

Pros: Replaced a dying Apevia 500W and got a great mail-in rebate price. Really appreciated the case and airflow improvement that the modular design allowed for and the current is very steady.

Great PS
Pros: Love the modular connections and the build. Peering inside reveals sturdy workmanship. Been running my I7 with GTX260 and four hard drives for a month now without a hiccup.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This 550w OCZ actually puts more amperage on the 12v rails than my Antec Truepower 650w. Seems to run cooler than the Antec under load as well.

Dead On Day 3
Pros: None
Cons: Died after 3 days of minimal use, my video card calls for 300w how this PS died is beyond me. The line voltage is filtered clean @120v and surge protected. This PS is rated at twice my operating watts, what a piece of garbage.
Other Thoughts: Will never buy or recommend an OZC product ever again.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. These units are fully tested before packaging, and a failure after short use is unusual. Please RMA with Newegg and your replacement will work out fine for you. Thank you

Great!
Pros: It was a great buy, the power supply was on sale. It looks great with the red lights! Very quiet. It also cames with a lot of accessories then regular power supplies. Don't forget this is a Modular power supply.
Cons: Not much as of now.
Other Thoughts: It said that it is sli-ready but i do not have two video cards yet so i did not test that out. I'm pretty worry about it's performance one i do decided to SLI it. Cuz 550W might be on the boarder line... until then i will fine out.

My opinion of the two Ocz550's I bought.
Pros: The great price, Modular, The best ratings I have seen in a power supply, 82 efficient.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: With the clear 130 mm fan and the four red leds too flashy for my taste. Not a reason to down the ratings. It's seems to be a great power supply.

Pleased. It's worth the green
Pros: Quiet, stable so far, modular
Cons: While this is quiet, it is not silent. For most people it is fine. For me it is fine. But it would not be fine for me the way I was two years ago. I am glad I am not him anymore.
Other Thoughts: Newegg is my favorite site by infinity squared.

Love it
Pros: Great modular design allows you to plug in only cables you need Comes with a pouch to store unused cables Very quiet.
Cons: The ATX12V cable was just long enough to cross over my video card to reach. Whew! 2~3 inches longer would be nice.
Other Thoughts: I am very glad I paid a few extra bucks for this quality product. Will definitely buy OCZ PS again.
Paired with my Asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard.

OCZ550FTY
Pros: Price: Nice everything. They got a Winner. But...
Cons: On a Mid size case: Top PSU: Pci-e wires are too short for the second card. Bottom PSU: 24 pin, CPU, wire too short
Other Thoughts: Used wire adapters I had around. Otherwise spend another $10 to $15 more.

Fatal1ty is Overrated
Pros: I like Fatal1ty, but they don't make good stuff anymore. The only reason why I bought this was for the red LED fan. I don't even think
Cons: The cables are short. If you mount this thing on the bottom, you'll need an EPS extenstion for sure. I don't even think Johnathan Wendel has plans to release any new stuff.
Other Thoughts: Fatal1ty was cool about 4 years ago. Today it does not match up to the new stuff. There was only one Fatal1ty motherboard and it was made by Abit, which quickly went out of business. Looks like Newegg is quickly pawning off all Fatal1ty stuff.
Manufacturer Response:Hello, when using a bottom PSU mount case, the customer must be aware that the design does not comply with the ATX specification. You will need a PSU with longer than standard cabling. Typically the manufacturers of these cases will supply extension cables, since this is a common issue. Please contact your case manufacturer for the cables. Thank you

My first OCZ purchase
Pros: Gives enough power to where its supposed to go. Red LED kind of cool. Shipped in timely fashion. No problems yet.
Cons: A touch bigger than my old Psu. Plug ins a little wonky. Sata cables not long enough for all 3 drives off of one.
Other Thoughts: I only gave this 4 stars for just one reason. I had to use both 3 plug sata cables to reach my HDD. It makes it so i have many extra cables in the case. Not a huge thing, but my case is a touch small and space is a premium.

Very quiet
Pros: Excellent power supply. I especially appreciate the modular connectors so that you don't have a bunch of uneccessary cables clogging up the case. The fan is extremely quiet, the only noise coming from my HTPC is the case fans
Cons: The only downside I can think of is the obnoxiously bright red LED's. I don't know their purpose and pretty sure a set of snips will take care of that. Still 5 eggs since it's pretty much my own fault for not paying attention. Just keep it in mind since they don't turn off as far as I can tell.

excellent deal
Pros: It's modular! No more spaghetti wire mess! Quiet as a church mouse (big slow fan!) 80+ 50 amps total on the 12v rails. (more than a lot of 600w and even some 700+w psu's) nice steady voltage readings +12v @12.29 idle and only dropped to 12.22 under the highest load I put on it. Even showed as 12v in the bios +5@ 5.00 steady +3.3@3.39 steady cables plenty long and nicely wrapped. Not real stiff either red led looks nice (don't have any others to clash with though) Will be more than enough for a future upgrade to a phenom II and 2XHD5770's CFX
Cons: It didn't come with a free phenom II 965
Not really a con but it would have been nice to make the atx12v(4pin) and eps12v(8pin) connectors modular too.But I spose I can live with one unnecessary connector hangin around ;-)
Other Thoughts: Fast shipping! Ordered on monday 11/09/09 after 12pm (fedex 3day) and got it today 11/11/09.

Looks Good, Works Good.
Pros: Hasn't shown any wear after 1 year of keeping a computer running 24/7. Fans still run great and quiet.
Cons: None.

Quality Replacement
Pros: It works. It hasn't died on me. And I like the red light in the back of it. If the specifications mean anything, this should keep me happy for a good amount of time.
Cons: I didn't know what to do with half of the cables that came with it. In fact, one of the cables blocked my view of the socket for my video card. Not a very serious problem, of course.
Other Thoughts: I haven't noticed any improvements in the performance of my computer, but I didn't expect any, so I'm not disappointed.
I bought this to replace the PSU my rig came with. It died on Halloween and I ordered this one in the same day. Thankfully, the old one didn't take anything with it, so I'm back to where I was before it was fried.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, but it didn't give me any noticeable increase in performance.

Quality PSU
Pros: Stable power, very quiet, modular cables. Fits great in MATX mini-tower, plenty of space thanks to modular cables. Nice view inside the case.

Great PSU
Pros: I am running a Q9550 with a EVGA Nvidia 9800 and several SATA devices. Everything is running smooth and just plain great. It comes with plenty of cables for all your needs. The CPU connector was a bit short, but it works. One inch longer would have been much better. It looks good too.
Cons: It doesn't talk to me and it doesn't predict the future.

Solid PSU; Red LED Looks Great In Cooler Master Storm Scout
Pros: Blends in good with Cooler Master Storm Scout case LED fans, only slightly off-color. Has an 8-pin connector for newer processors, MODULAR configuration is a huge plus, cables are wrapped, and there is an included bag for excess cables. With a rebate that leaves you paying $40 + shipping, you can't go wrong with this unless you are cross-firing newer card or something other extreme activities.
Cons: Can't crossfire newer cards with high-end processors, but still a great deal.
Other Thoughts: System Phenom II X4 955 BE . 4GB 1066 . 64GB SSD . 1.5TB 5400RPMs . Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P . 7600 GS 256mb (plan to upgrade to HD 5770 1gb)

Great PSU
Pros: This review echoes a lot of the other positive reviews. For starters, I think this PSU alone was responsible for the high shipping cost of my order. This thing is HEAVY. Its built like a beast. The red LED is a nice touch. The fan is nice and quiet; airflow design makes sense by venting outside the case. The logo is nice. Powered up first try. Tons of cables to choose from. Handy pouch to store extras in, just in case you want to add something in the future.
Cons: Just a few minor points, but not enough to detract an "egg". One, the mounting screw holes didn't quite match up to my case. Had to angle the screws just slightly. Most likely due to point two: the fan guard on the bottom of the PSU is so big that it touches the mounting rail in my case. This causes one side of the PSU to be raised, cocking it ever so slightly, causing the screw alignment issue. Easily overcome with patient installation. I had one issue with cable length. Its not that the cable was too short, but the placement of the SATA connectors was short just a hair. I used one cable to power my HDD and my DVD drive. The HDD is close to the bottom of my midtower case, and the DVD drive was close to the top. Plenty of cable to reach, but the placement of the SATA connector was short by about half an inch. Problem solved by moving the DVD drive down one bay in the tower.
Other Thoughts: Modular design is great! Really helps when building a machine from scratch, you can keep the case free of clutter and see what you're doing, and only add the cables that you need. Plenty of cables, and for the most part they're long enough to get the job done.

it's red
Pros: Good price, effective. I didn't want to get the cheapest PSU but couldn't afford the biggest and baddest. So far this thing has ran great.
Cons: The idea that some of my money is going to FATality for having his name on it, just seems like a limp-wristed sponsorship to me.
Other Thoughts: I like that I can add additional power cables as needed and the big 120mm fan.

Not everything I thought it would be...
Pros: - Red lit fan (not bright enough to see from under the case) - Modular (see below) - Assortment of cables (all the wrong ones) - Ability to remove the PSU from the case and move it closer the the motherboard socket so the cables reach
Cons: - CABLES TOO SHORT! Everyone who buys this should check where their PSU will be installed. If the power for the motherboard is at the top and the PSU is at the bottom, you will be one to three inches away from an "ideal" length. I say "ideal" because unless there is a straight line from the PSU to the mobo, it won't reach. "Not a big deal."? If you want to spend $5-10 on cables to extend the PSU cords a few inches. It's not a big deal at all. If you want to travel to Fry's, Best buy, Radio Shack, and a few other electronic stores to find a "rare" 8 pin molex male to female PSU cable, only to find out that those stores don't carry those connectors. It's not a big deal. Enjoy waiting another three to seven days for that extender in the mail for only $8 per cable. But there's always the option to wait two weeks for a shipment from China. Don't forget to remember that the cable is just *a few inches* away from powering the motherboard. FAIL OCZ. FAIL.
Other Thoughts: Lesson learned. There's always a reason for a rebate. They don't call it a "proof of purchase" for nothing. The extra few inches in mass production would have cost a fraction of a penny. Instead the money saved by sending in a rebate is spent on a cable extender. Go with a more reputable brand like Corsair. i7 860 Prolimatech Mega Shadow w/ Gentle Typhoon EVGA F T W intel x-25m G2 1TB Western Digital Green G.skill Ripjaws 2x2GB ATI 4870 Thermaltake S
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you had cable length problems. This usually occurs when running a case that mounts the PSU on the bottom. Bottom mount cases do not follow the standard ATX design, and most case manufacturers will send you the extension cables free of charge. Thank you
