Excellent Power Supply
Pros: I got this power supply on sale for $89.99 last December & it's been running strong ever since. I love Zalman, they make high quality products & I couldn't be anymore satisfied with my purchase.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I'm running this psu with one 250GB hard drive, one lightscribe dvd drive, one Geforce 9800GT graphic card, & one Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz cpu.

It won't run my 9800GTX+ and Phenom II X4
Pros: It's nice and quiet. Modular cables are nice, too. Don't expect it to run a 9800GTX, though.
Cons: I upgraded my CPU and video card and it keeps telling me it doesn't have sufficient power...and that's just one! SLI certified? Yeah right!!! If this thing won't run one 9800, it sure as hell won't run two.
Other Thoughts: I'm about to talk to NewEgg and/or Zalman about exchanging this for something that really is SLI capable, and can run my one 9800GTX card.

Quiet and has high efficiency
Pros: I bought this because I thought my current PSU was failing. The computer would keep just shutting down as if someone unplugged the computer.
The PSU is quiet and quite efficient. My APC power supply said that that I had 30 minutes of battery backup with the 500 watt Antec PSU. With the 500 watt Zalman PSU, the APC now says that I have 45 minutes of battery backup time.
I like the hybrid cables. I have much less cables in my unit now. A lot less clutter.
Cons: It's too quiet. Now I can hear that the Zalman CPU cooler is much noisier than I thought.
Other Thoughts: duh. Don't try using your current PSU cables with this unit. I thought that the cables were interchangable and when the PSU wouldn't power up, I thought I had a dead unit. It took me over 2-3 hours to figure out that I had to use Zalman's SATA cables to get the unit to power up.

Stable, efficient, and quiet
Pros: Innovative copper heat pipe cooling with radiator logically positioned facing the exhaust fan, ultra quiet fan, truly modular cabling with secure PSU connections. Nylon sleeves protect cables while permitting sufficient flex. The 3-cable principal bundle contains: 1) 20+4 MB power, 2) 4+4 CPU power, and 3) 6-pin PCI-2.0 x16 video card power. I connected a dedicated SATA cable to the HD, and a single Molex cable (3-socket daisy chain) to the external drive bays. The Zalman MPC2 fan controller monitors PSU power, which rarely exceeds 100W for this non-SLI system using a nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT video card, 2x1GB DDR3 memory, WD 300GB 'Velociraptor' 10,000rpm HD, Gigabyte EP45G-DS3R MB, Intel Core 2 Duo 3.16GB E8500 CPU.
Cons: The Molex clips have insufficient length to effectively grasp and secure the mating connector. However, these connections are already sufficiently snug - the clip is superfluous.
Other Thoughts: I was disappointed in the SilenX 450@ PSU which I purchased for its 'quiet' fan. The SilenX cables were bulky, overinsulated and difficult to position - one could not disconnect unused cables. When the HD erratically lost power and the MB started rebooting, I replaced the SilenX PSU with the Zalman 500W, and the computer now runs stably all day long. This PSU is very nicely designed, rock stable, and very competitively priced. I highly recommend it.

excellent PS
Pros: Near silent operation. Modular. Runs cool. Heatpipe tech.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: This PS is in a Lian Li 350B mATX case. MOBO Asus P5E VM HDMI, Q6600, 8gb ram, Two Hitachi 250gb, one Raptor 36, 8800gts. 22 wide screen. This ps was for a Micro ATX gaming machine. It works great for this build. Just ordered a GTX 260/216 for it. The PS should be enough, even tho all the "experts" say a 650 is what you need. But, the specs seem to indicate that it will work. Dont plan on overclocking this card, dont think it will need it. Will revise this review as I find out. If this one wont work with the Gtx 260, then I plan on getting the 750 version of this same PS to replace it with. Heat pipe tech. really does work! System stays cool no matter what I throw at it, and I online game, a lot. COD4 mostly.

Great PSU
Pros: Quiet, modular, did everything I wanted it to. I grew accustomed to the ambient blue glow, wasn't feeling it at first.
Pentium D 940 Spire Verticool II 4GB Corsair twinx ddr667 P5NSLI 2x500GB Seagate sata drives 7600GT Zalman VF700-Cu Xp Pro SP3
Cons: Wish it had been fully modular.
Other Thoughts: RMA'd after purchasing A new motherboard, 8800GT, 3 new fan's, and A q6600, I'm sure it would have run them fine but then I started thinking about running SLI and adding more hard drives. I like having room to upgrade so I got the zalman 750.

Extremely quiet
Pros: Very quiet power supply, I was stunned when I first turned it on. Modular (well hybrid).
Would be an excellent supply for a machine serving as the hub to a theater or audio system.
Cons: Although it's modular (well hybrid), I wish it was a little *more* modular. When building a simple machine you'll still have more plugs floating around than you need. The cables are longer than many will need in order to accommodate the extra plugs. That's a pretty picky comment though, and one that applies to most any PSU out there.
Pricey for a 500W supply.
What the hell is up with all the blue LED nonsense these days? A blue LED. Inside a power supply. INSIDE. Cool aesthetics my....
Other Thoughts: I got my first modular power supply a few years back, and I've never looked back. I think that the price uplift from non-modular to modular is too high, however, and is more based on how much people are prepared to pay, versus increased cost of production. Capitalism in motion I guess. I'd vote with my feet, but I like nice neat installs...
Would be nice if modular power supply companies standardize on PSU side plugs so I could customize cables to the build.

wow
Pros: NOISE LEVEL - It's near silent.
Cons: Possibly the 500W power? but you'd already know what you're getting
Other Thoughts: Get it if you're going to settle for a mid-power PSU that is near silent.

Supplies Power
Pros: It's quiet, it's black and my system is stable.
Cons: Overvolts the 12v to 12.44, I doubt that's enough to shorten the life of any of my components, but at this price I was hoping for precise voltages.
Other Thoughts: Doesn't seem to be worth 3x what I paid for Newegg's house brand.

2 thumbs up to Zalman
Pros: Just what the specs specify. It a great silent Power Supply. Provides power to an Abit pro mobo, Q6600 low range OCed, eVGA 8800GT superclocked and plenty of drives. Lots of cables. Really high class. Just make sure you calculate the amount of power you need!
Cons: none so far

Disappointed
Pros: Physically seems well built. Did not fry any other components.
Cons: Defective. Would power up for a fraction of a second then immediately shutdown. No power to CPU, fans, anything.
Other Thoughts: Took some time to diagnose that it was the PSU not the motherboard. System runs completely reliably with different brand of PSU. Motherboard MSI K9NBPM2-FID, Athlon 64 x2 5200+, 4Gb Adata RAM, Lian Li PCA06A case etc.

Cons: none that I can think of

Pros: Runs without any problem (so far). Better voltage control. Runs relatively cool. Very low noise.
Cons: Why do you need a blue LED in the PSU?
Other Thoughts: System: Athlon 64 3200+, 512MB x 4 DDR400, Nforce 4 Ultra motherboard, 5 hard drives, 2 DVD RW drives, card reader, 2 case fans.
