its ok
Pros: It installed easy enough and operates at a cool temperature. nopt super fast, but great for the 4x.xx I paid for it
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Its not a dual core and its not a core 2 duo; don't expect it to be. But it does well enough in light gaming (bf2, Doom3.. mostly older games) and handles office applications well. This is in my back up gaming box that I slapped together on the cheap

Works Great- QC Questionable
Pros: Very reasonable price when purchased in a combo. Temperature running low with an all aluminium cooler.
Cons: Quality control
Other Thoughts: I was pleased with the price when I purchased this with a Foxconn motherboard. I used it to build a computer for my parents. Just like the other reviews--this thing had around 9 bent pins. I managed to straighten them out, but a corner of the chip looked like it had been dropped on a concrete floor from around 6 feet. It also had finger prints on it, which I removed with rubbing alcohol. I carefully, bent the corner back using a plastic picnic knife (I use this to spread the Artic Silver) and FINALLY got this thing to drop into the bracket. Runs around 33 degrees C. using a cheap aluminium heatsink. I was surprised at the low numbers, since this is my first AMD build since the days of the Athlon A, and I remember them running red hot. Overall, I am pleased but initially thought I was going to have to RMA the chip. Honestly, I think that some of these OEM chips are customer returns or factory seconds.

It Was DOA
Pros: Newegg took it back.
Cons: It was DOA?
Other Thoughts: I will be buying a X2 4200 instead of this one.

Great
Pros: This is a great cpu and can be overclocked to almost 2.7ghz this means it is almost better than a 3800 for the same price
Cons: The heat is a little high for my taste so if overclocked make sure you have good cooling or it can reach 70c easy
Other Thoughts: none

Slow upgrader ...
Pros: Faster than my 754 athlon64 3200+ and dual channel ram
Cons: socket 939 no longer supported
Other Thoughts: Even tho AM2 socket may be its revision im sticking with S 939 until the Phenom release ... this is fast enought for what i need besides by then i will have a valid reason to upgrade

AMD processors are the best
Pros: I picked up this processor to replace a 3000+ that the heat sink clip had broken on. The processors are great, but the stock heat sinks aren't.
This one obviously doesn't come with a heatsink so I picked up the 5 dollar Cooler Master one that they recommended, and it's a great combination.
The price is awesome for a processor this quick.
Cons: None.

A very good chip
Pros: Very cheap, AMD does it right.
Cons: Not dual-core...but for 40 bucks, you can't do much better than this.

Great for the price
Pros: Pretty fast with a 1000mhz fsb, but then again I have 2.25 gigs of DDR RAM installed. I really like it, it was probably around 60 or 50 when I got it but 40 is definitely worth it. Really good for starters and game computers, I might get something a little faster but that's because I'm competitive like that. These processors also handle a lot of stress, but get a good cpu cooler so it lasts longer and you don't run into problems later on.
Cons: You could grill on the thing! Its usually 37c idle (with a masscool heat sync and fan with no case fans installed yet). I Wish it was a dual core. I tried over clocking it once and it ran for five minutes then my computer shut itself down which usually happens when the cpu reaches 140F - 160F. I wish there were more AMD socket 939 cpu's out there.
Other Thoughts: Shipping took forever (don't order it on a Sunday). For some reason I always order parts on a Sunday and I get them a week or two (sometimes 3) later.

Fast Little Chip
Pros: Its fast, cheap, and if you know what your doin, you can make it scream.
Cons: it isnt totally free
Other Thoughts: I dont know what people are talking about when they mention heating problems, i run it at around 25C idle, 28C full Load, thats with it overclocked to 2.7GHZ stable. I do however have an Arctic freezer on it with Arctic Silver, but still, people have it runnin 39C idle, thats high for me. Specs: 1G Dual channel Kingston Hyperx|Ati Xpress 200 (sapphire)| 2x X1900GT | 3x Asus W38G Wireless.

Works Great
Pros: Built a second computer with spare parts, and this worked great with my extra 939 board. Haven't tried OC'ing yet, but runs great at normal speeds.
Cons: Had a couple bent pins as well, when I got it. Fixed easily using retractable pencil end to slide over pin and carefully straighten them. No excuse for bent pins though - it's annoying.
Other Thoughts: AMD processors are the best if you don't have to have the newest and fastest. Intel's prices may have come down, but you still pay more for the MB's. AMD is the best bang for the buck still.

Solid Chip
Pros: Been working great for a couple years now without shutting my computer off.
Cons: Although cheap and reliable, might get more bang for the buck with one of the newer AMD offerings, especially since the price war.
Other Thoughts: If you only want to upgrade the processor on your computer, this is a nice and reliable choice. If you are going to upgrade more than just the processor, might as well spring for one of the newer AMD chips.

I love NEW EGG!!!
Pros: You can't beat this price i upgraded from an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ and it was a HUGE Difference. I mainly bought the CPU to be able to Flash my bios on my MotherBoard because it wont run the AMD 64 4000+ without the bios flash. The cpu did not come with Bent Pins so thats a plus.
Cons: None love AMD and NEWEGG.
Other Thoughts: Try the heatSink from THERMATAKE ORB 2 Looks awsome and keeps the CPU VERY COOL Plus it Turns Heads. NewEgg SHIPPING ROCKS!!

this cpu is wack
Pros: This processors sucks
Cons: My processor keeps maxing out at 100% even though i am not running a lot of applications./ I was better off with my athlon 3400 venice. Plus the bent pins were a pain to straighten out.
Other Thoughts: avoid this processor

Pain in the Rear
Pros: The chip is great. It's fast, inexpensive, and works well.
Cons: The CPU itself has no cons.
Other Thoughts: I spent nearly an hour straightening bent pins on the CPU before I could use it. Luckily, I'm a professional computer guru, so I knew what I was doing, otherwise, it would have been returned.
