Not bad
Pros: Fast enough to play 1080p High definition MKV files using ffdshow. Low watts and price.
Cons: Not as fast as Intel counterpart.
Other Thoughts: I picked this up wanting to finish a computer I had built from spare parts. It was a small In Win BT553 case with only 180watt power supply! And it worked great. The mother board was an MSI K9AGM2-FIH. I was running that motherboard this cpu, and a DVDRW anda 500gb hitachi deskstar sata hdd. Worked fine and had no problems what so ever. I was using the built in video because it had HDMI, and the case would not allow standard size pci-e/pci cards, let alone will the weak power supply. It was a small HTPC in an SFF case and worked great.

awsome cpu
Pros: awsome cpu, beats the snot out of my old a64 3200+ @ 2.7. this thing runs cool and overclocks like mad (2.91ghz) prime95 stable.
Cons: stock cooler is junk, went in the trash.
Other Thoughts: 2.91Ghz on biostar A770 a2+, with Afreezer 64 pro, 4gig Gskill ddr800, visiontek HD2600pro, and 680w psu. plays all my games like a dream.

Fast!
Pros: No problems whatsoever. Heatsink works great with Artic 5 Silver after I wiped off the pre-lubed grease with an alcohol pad. Was running about 36 degrees after about 3 hours of playing with Vista 64bit, which by the way, installed in under 30min on a new 400Gb HD.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: For this build I put together a Biostar MCP6P-M2 MB, AMD 4400+ Brisbane 2.3GHz, WD 400GB SATA, Vista Home Premium 64-Bit, Samsung 20X DVD SATA, HEC 585W Power Supply, 4GB Transcend DDR2 800. Under $450 total. Rock solid performance.

Very great budget proc
Pros: This proc is a very good budget Athlon x 2 that can be overclocked to a mid-range proc.
Cons: stock speed of only 2.3 GHZ.
Other Thoughts: I can say i did't buy this from newegg but newegg is very alsome. Newegg parts built my whole gaming pc. I took this out of a Dell Inspiron 531 PC and installed it in my M2N32-SLI MoBo. I OC'ed it to 2.7 GHZ with 1.3v. It gets a 5.2 in vistas benchmark. This baby runs a little hot at the speed its runing. It's 53c as i type (not runing any other aps.) i might clock it slower to get rid of the heat problems. Its very stable at this speed though. Very Alsome proc for $$$!

Kind of wish I had bought this for myself
Pros: Runs cool, low power consumption, only $1.50 more than the 4200+.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I'm running a 4200+ in my computer, and this thing seems to run significantly faster regardless that there is little speed difference between the two.

Good speed for price
Pros: Price is nice for the performance. Comes with HSF and is fairly quiet with mobo controlling it.
Cons: Depending on usage, you may get better performance out of one of Intel's offerings if you want to Overclock/game.
Other Thoughts: Performance/price ratio on par with Intel's budget CPU's, this processor holds it's own and very much has the oomph to get you along in pretty much everything you throw at it. Just remember, its a budget CPU. Don't expect miracles.

Pros: Good cost for a good product. I was looking for something a little lower end until I saw the price and I decided to get this. I completely prefer AMD.
Cons: Didn't come with a TV, lol.

Hmm
Pros: Good price, nice ht speed, and 2.3g, works kinda fast
Cons: i dont understand why L1 cache has to be 128+128 i really wish it would ste up to 256+256, it would be nice!
Other Thoughts: i just recently baught this processor after selling my 4200+ to a friend. it is a hair faster but not much i had my 4200+ overclocked and it worked just as good as this. i would recomend buying a 4200+ and just overclocking it with AMD Overdrive. Its a new(relatively new) program amd released that works with "spyder systems" google Amd Over drive if your interested in a great overclocking program. it gives you features your motherboard cant! i really like it and it has a nice little benchmark tool that is cool!

Great Buy!
Pros: It is a fast, powerful processor that can be installed within 2 minutes from box. nothing else needed.
Cons: the Cache is a little small for my tastes but the cpu makes up for it with everything else it can do!
Other Thoughts: Obviously it's retail so you get the heatsink and fan as well as preapplied thermal grease. This was nice for me since I'm lazy and didn't want to have to buy all those things. The processor is powerful yet quiet and I would definitely buy again from AMD! (This is my first)

GREAT CPU HIGH O/C
Pros: This is a mid grade proc but is able to be o/c'd to just as high as the high end ones will go,but for much less scratch. Have mine o/c'd to 2.86 with no lowered multipliers!! 250x11.5 with HTx5!!Vcore 3.5! Unshakable No Problems at all! Only to go over 245 had to change mem timings from 4-4-4-12 to 4-5-4-12. Very VERY pleased!!!
Cons: Cheaper now. Would have really liked the Black ed with unlocked multipliers but I can not complain one bit.
Other Thoughts: Abit an9-32xFatality. XFX7900gsXXX. Mushkin extreme(blue)4-5-4-12. 4400+@2.86 11.5x250 ROCK SOLID AND FFFFAASSST!!!!

Nice CPU
Pros: I have modest needs for this computer. The CPU runs Vista Home Premium great - 2GB of 800Mhz RAM.
The CPU fan is quiet once the mobo took control.
Cons: Wasn't free.
Other Thoughts: I sure many of the Intel Core 2 are faster, but this CPU is fast and cheap.

Not Bad
Pros: Very fast a great upgrade from my single core 4000+ AMD Price is fantastic for a nice dual core can play assassin's creed which was why I got it.
Cons: The heatsink is getting hot to the touch and I have not over clocked it its about 70 degrees in my room and its running about 50c which is hotter then my single core 4000+ I think they put the wrong heatsink in with the box because its very poor on cooling.
Other Thoughts: Some reason CPU temp is showing it at 10c not sure why avg idle is about 30c high load 50c after a hour of gaming. I got mine as OEM I think the guy who returned it put a lower grade heatsink back in the box or AMD put a really bad heatsink/fan with it. Buy a after market cooler.

Amazing Cpu
Pros: this cpu was an amazing upgrade from my Athlon 64 3800+ single core. The change in performance is considerable and very noticable
Cons: At first i thought there wasnt any thermal padte but then i saw that it was pre-attached to heatsink that was provided. If only i could give this a 10 out of 5
Other Thoughts: Great cpu for all who widh to have a great gaming and or media rig

Cons: huh?...i'm sorry what did u say?..con? spffff
Other Thoughts: can't wait to upgrade i'm sure i would be blown out my mind from the spreed. this was my first x2 build..but my girl has a x2 1.9 on her laptop and it flies...i needed a new studio computer so i went with this cpu. runz smooth and cool. haven't overclocked it yet but i can't wait to do so...really no need....??...eh well..good job amd

Cons: didn't come with thermal grease... not much of a con is it?

Great!!!
Pros: Great, cool processor. Runs like a dream. I have mine OC'd to 2.71 Ghz. OC'd with stock cooling this proc peaked at 47C. Really cool.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: If you really plan on OCing this proc I would recommend aftermarket cooling but this thing if completely capable of OC on stock.

Give that AM2 some extra power
Pros: After owning this processor for nearly half a year, I can honestly say that I've never had anything like it before. This thing runs cool, runs fast, and handles even the heaviest loads with no stress.
Cons: Included fan/heatsink combo a bit loud for my tastes, going to fix that soon.
Other Thoughts: 4400+ on TForce TF7025-m2 mobo with 2 gbs of RAM and PX8500GT 512 MB video card.

Good budget CPU
Pros: obviously, a huge step up from a Celeron 2.2 ghz. a solid component in my mid range build (see others thoughts), idles at 25c, under load (cod4), i have never seen over 45c, with stock cooling and arctic cooler mx2. low power/heat
Cons: none, especially at this price.
Other Thoughts: asus m2n sli deluxe, xfx 8600 gt xxx, amd 4400+ brisbane, 4 gb (4 x 1gb) g.skill ddr2 800, 160 gb seagate and 40 gb maxtor ultra ata hdd's. and for now, an old 580 watt psu (20 pin in 24 pin board and still solid performamce) i play cod4 50 fps w/ mid-high settings on 1280x1024. crysis 30 fps 1024x768 w/ med settings. cant expect much more with a 8600 gt

Best brand
Pros: Out of all of the CPUs I've ever used, well over 20, I have never had a better experience than I've had with AMDs. The CPU is beyond question the best quality CPU I've had experience with. I am so greatly impressed I just bought the 6400+ X2 for an extra boost in performance. If you don't believe 2.3GHz will be fast enough for what you do then you've obviously spent too much time on an Intel PC.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Never recommend anything but the best, which would be AMD. Also, go to google and lookup "Breakfree AMD".

Pros: Runs cool. Very fast. Inexpensive.
Cons: Needs the AMD processor driver from AMD's Web Site. Not really a con.
Other Thoughts: I use this processor with a GF8800GTS and 2gb ram as a gaming rig. It plays everything from Oblivion to Command and Conguer 3 to Crysis on max detail in 1280X1024 without fault. Best <$100 processor ever!

BANG for the $$$
Pros: rock solid and cool
Cons: These benchmarks are not as high as the fire breathing dragon I built for the last customer. but that cost almost 3 x as much to score 11% better on the bench
Other Thoughts: Put this in an budget system. ran burn-in for 4 hrs @ 2.515 mhz. scored a 3.96-mhz ratio, and it never reach 50c. That was using one of those Sunbeam coolers for under twenty $ could have saved this client those $$ and used the Std heat sink

Good mid-range
Pros: Rated in at 2.31, my other prior 2 CPUs clocked at below the rated spec by at least .05 or less. Switching back and forth between programs is super smooth, ditch the single core!
Cons: Really freaked me out how tight the fit is for the heatsink.

AMD the beast!!!
Pros: Runs very cool, even on stock heat sink. I removed stock thermal grease and applied Arctic Silver thermal grease. Runs around low 30C range.
Cons: Not the "bleeding edge" technology of the present.

Pros: Very good CPU. I have it overclocked to 2.6 GHz with the stock heat sink and fan and it barely gets up to 40C.

Not an ounce of disappointment....
Pros: Install was a LOT easier than I expected...for now I'm using the stock HSF, and I'm not entirely sure if I NEED to upgrade since I'm not overclocking (first time EVER). I had a Presschhhooootttt p4 (2.8ghz--->3.2ghz) and notice a HUGE difference. Not even comparable. Faster, cooler, more efficient...the list goes on.
Cons: ME. I haven't overclocked it yet....LOL.
Other Thoughts: I'm glad this chip isn't a disappointment...I really wanted to believe in AMD again, and I hope they finally drop that Quad Core, cuz I'll be building a QC in February...

Pros: good product all around, doesn't get too hot, doesn't use much power, but it sure does produce power.
Cons: none

AWESOME
Pros: Fast and overclockable. 65w AM2. Cheap. Buy It.
Cons: Nothing.
Other Thoughts: I got this cpu and put it in my new mobo (GIGABYTE GA-M61P-S3) after a little while of messing with the fsb and multiplier i got this thing running smoothly at 2.75 ghz on the stock heat sink and fan. Runs at about 33c with only 0.750 voltage increase. Amazing. Did a couple test they recognize it as a 5000+.

very fast for the money
Pros: Great for multitasking. I can surf the internet while ripping CD's and while running a p2p program all at the same time with no lag. I like the cooling system that comes with it.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I just overclocked to 2.61. Everything has seemed very stable for about a week now. Temp has never got over 41C under load. Idles at about 34 with stock cooling.

Pros: Paired with an Asus M2N-E motherboard. Pleasantly surprised at the power compared to my old Dual Athlon MP system and at a fraction of the power consumption. I really like the CNQ feature.
Cons: none so far

Outstanding.
Pros: After burning this CPU in now, 24/7 for a month, it runs terrificly quick on Windows Vista. The rating went up from 5.0 at the beginning to 5.2. It is extremely quick and runs everything without a sweat.
Cons: None at all, this is absolutely perfect.
Other Thoughts: AMD are fantastic, this chip is extremely quick.

Pros: A huge leap from an old socket 478 celeron running at 2.8 Ghz. Boots up XP in about 10 - 1 seconds.
Cons: None!!!

Pros: Dual Core. Can do a heck of a lot more than my old P4 1.8Ghz. Games run very smoothly. Can multi task very well now.
Cons: None that I can tell.
Other Thoughts: I can get this to overclock to 2.6Ghz OK. The price is a deal for a processor of this quality.

Pros: Dual Core! I had to upgrade my motherboard BIOS to run this processor but I knew that ahead of time and had no trouble.
Cons: The stock CPU fans are always a little loud ( not too loud but louder then all my other fans ).
Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a AMD64 3500+
They are basically the same speed except this is now dual core.
The big difference really comes in background services. Now I can easily run other programs in the background when I am playing a performance demanding game.

Amazing
Pros: This is an amazing product. My computer startup time has been cut in half. Installed in a Dell C521.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've learned my lesson to never buy a Dell again. The proprietary heat sink made this upgrade a hassle.

Economical Dual Processor
Pros: 65 watt cpu running cool. Included fan and heat exchange really substancial.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Bought Gigabyte GA-MA69GH-S2H; CPU and Cricial (1x2GB) DDR2 800 from Newegg. No problem with set. Old 300w power supply did not have P4 12v MB cable so sprung for new 500w power supply.

Excellent and Fast!
Pros: Runs extremely cool and fast. I am running Windows Vista on this baby and it doesn't slow down at all. Infact, the highest ive ever seen it at is 63%!!
Cons: Windows Experience Index rates it at 5.0
Other Thoughts: Fantastic processing time, 2 business days! Thanks Newegg!!

Totally Impressed
Pros: I love this processor. I run Microsoft Flight Sim and WoW with all sliders maxed, have yet to see this baby get over 33 Celsius with the stock fan!
Cons: The stock fan/heat sink assembly was a bit of a challenge to get onto the board, but it definitely does its job well. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints. Will definitely choose AMD in the future.

Fast..
Pros: It's fast. Vista only took 15 minutes to install on my Hard drive.
Cons: Heatsink included was a little hard to put on motherboard..
Other Thoughts: Windows Vista, AMD athlon 64 X2 2.3, 2 gigs Corsair ram, Nvidia Geforce 8500GT.

AMD Rocks
Pros: Almost as fast as my Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz for 1/3 the price. Runs Cool-30 C compared to E6600 runs at 40 C (with after market cpu fan on E6600).
Cons: I strayed from AMD to Intel once. Sorry AMD - I'm back

good proc for the cash
Pros: I've pushed this baby pretty high so far with the stock fan. 228 FSB + sotcj multiplier, no hickups
Cons: The included fan seems really weak.
Other Thoughts: with the money you save on this proc, buy a high end fan so you can really push it

Screaming CPU
Pros: This thing screams -- very fast, inexpensive processor, and the stock cooling actually keeps it exceptionally cool at about 24C (75F) w/24C (77F) room temperature under standard load (48+ hour running time).
Cons: Struggles a little with some multitasking, at least with my board, despite it being a dual-core and swimming in a system loaded with resources.
Other Thoughts: Definitely a worthwhile CPU. TomsHardware rates it well against other ones, sort of in the middle of the top-of-the-line charts, but will definitely meet the needs of all but the uber-elite.

65-watt CPU
Pros: 65-watt is low heat for AMD processors, which makes for a more stable CPU while gaming. 11.5x multiplier. For the price, it's AMAZING.
Cons: Slight con is that the 65nm is clocked at 2.3GHz while the 90nm version is 2.2GHz. Gives less room for OCing, but the lower power dissapation will more than make up for it. But if you were going for OC, Intel would be a better choice IMO.
Other Thoughts: I was able to use thermaltake heatsink from Socket 939 upgrade board on my AM2 board.

Great CPU for a GREAT price
Pros: Very nicely priced Dual Core CPU. AMD has never let me down. Works nicely for gaming, despite what some folks may think. Runs WoW on max settings perfectly. Runs Oblivion perfectly as well.
Cons: None. This is a fantastic CPU
Other Thoughts: I'm running this CPU in a Gigabyte MOBO with 2 GB of DDR2 800 RAM. I'm rocking a 160GB PATA Maxtor Hard Drive with Windows XP Home installed on it. The only thing holding my system back is my old PCI-E Radeon X1600PRO video card. It's not bad, but a new card would definitely help out a lot.

Awsome CPU with a Awsome price.
Pros: Wow for the price this CPU is amazing. It runs my games well and is pretty fast. This cpu also runs very very cool. Im happy I bought this its a great cpu at a great price.
Cons: Wish it had more cache. But its ok this is amazing so Im not complaining.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for my budget build and I couldnt be happier. If you get the chance to get one of these dont hesitate. You wont be disapointed.

Speed Demon
Pros: Fast, dual-core, AMD quality, very *very* nice for its price.
Cons: Had trouble with the heatsink but I finally got it to fit (thought I was going to break it with the force needed to latch the lever)
Other Thoughts: Aside from the heat sink being a little hard to install this thing is running fast and *cool*. (Haven't gone above 35 C at default clock with only the heatsink/fan and 1x 120mm fan in my case)

fast
Pros: its pretty fast and its multi-proc is crazy too.
Cons: i overclocked it with the stock heatsink/fan and it heated up pretty fast at 2.65 GHz (55*C at max load for 7 mins). probibly recommend you get a better heatsink if you are planning on overclocking

Great for budget build
Pros: This CPU is able to run Vista fast and stable, proforms well in low to mid level gaming (what i have used so far), and is very fast at video encoding and file decompresion.
Cons: Not a con i can think of. proforms as advertized.
Other Thoughts: This is greate for a budget gaming build to clarify my title. for the games and programs i have used on it i have never seen the % of activty go above 65% of the CPU's capability. I am presently running the 4400+ pared with: ECS KA3 MVP mother board, 2 GB (x2) DDR2 800 Mhz A-Data, Saphire ATI Radeon HD 2600xt, 250 GB HD, LG 18x dvd-rw, 500w Raidmax pcu containd within a Raidmax Smilodon case. All parts orderd from newegg and arrived fast and in good condition. As always very happy with my newegg shopping experience.

Pros: So far so good, I have nothing to complain about regarding all the items I purchased to build my new computer. Everything is working together like a charm but only time will tell. This is my 3rd order from newegg, I look forward to many more. Also I wasn't going to write a comment but thought I should because other comments/reviews helped me to make my buying experience a good one.

Pros: I installed this processor in a ecs nforce4m-a. At first the temp idled around 47c and 60c + under heavy loads. Turned on cool & quiet from bios and the pc would shut down sometimes because it detected excessive heat. Went to the elitegroup website, downloaded the latest bios which by the way said it corrected the smart fan issue. Now this thing idles around 12c. Highest temp under load is 29c or lower, all of this with a stock heat sink, and some arctic silver. "COOL!!"
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I have used intel and amd processors over the past 10+ years. This is the coolest running cpu I have ever used.I also ripped and burned many dvd's in 12 minutes or less. And yes, the price is just crazy. I hope that this trend continues, because there has never been a better time than now to own a very fast and stable system without breaking the bank.

Superb
Pros: Fanstastic bang for buck
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Used on a general purpose machine (tv decoding, downloading, home office, home video editing etc etc) this processor flies. I am sure that a core duop would be faster, but not for this money. MB, chip and 2GB ram, $280. Rocking combination, thank you Newegg.

AMD is Great
Pros: Fast enough to run BF2142 with 2gig pc6400 G.Skill and integrated 6100 graphics. (Waiting for my 8600GT.) Runs 32degC at idle. 46-48 under full load.
Cons: None really. Does everything fairly fast that I ask it too.
Other Thoughts: Not a bad gaming processor but if you have the money, I would go for a 5000+ class or 6000+ class for long term speed. Overall, very happy with purchase for the money.

Pros: Can't beat performance for the price,I can now decode video three times faster than my old Athlon 3200.So easy to set up.
Cons: None

Best bang for the buck.
Pros: Just purchased this CPU while building a new system for a client. He's upgrading from a socket 423 1.3GHz P4 to this. Works flawlessly in his new CAD system.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: Would have gone with an opteron normally for a CAD workstation, but the customer felt that a professional series graphics card was enough for him.

Power and Price? Sign me up.
Pros: First off, let me say I've used both AMD and Intel processors, at least giving me a fair introspect into how they both run under similar loads. Both have pros and cons, but for the first time, i've had a hard time finding any problems with a processor. It runs cool and stable even when over clocked to 3.2 GHz, and the system just pours out processing power without killing you for power.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: You officially have an excuse to buy a X2.

Works Great!
Pros: Upgraded my MCE pc from an AMD 3200 to a AM2 socket dual core setup. Runs fast and cool, a nice improvement over single core, especially when multitasking.
Cons: The wife may abuse you for spending more money on computer parts when you current system works "just fine"
Other Thoughts: Love AMD - Conroes may be faster but they are still more $$, and the Intel boards are more too, so I still think AMD's are the best bang for the buck.

Easy installation
Pros: This replaced a Sempron 3200+ 1.8 and a big jump in performance. With "Cool & Quite" enabled both cores idle at 1000Mhz and 1.1v. Using stock fan/heatsink. Speedfan reports 22-32C. Took 15mins to install using pre-applied thermal paste.
Cons: Ordered Friday afternnon, delivered following Thursday (what happen to the 3 day shipping)
Other Thoughts: This was my first order from Newegg and will doing more business with them. Good online retailer.

Pros: Wow Such An Amazing Processor... Able to run multiple programs without any hiccups in any program unlike my Athlon 64 3500+ this is a big boost
Cons: The fan and heatsink are HUGE...
Other Thoughts: The heatsink and fan being huge occupy some of the room for running wires but because its covered up by the case cover it doesnt bother me...

Excellent for the Price
Pros: I got this puppy OC'd to 2.8 with a gig of Patriot Memory. It is extremely fast but would still like to compare it to one of the core 2 duos. Vista score with the OC is 5.4.
Cons: Not very sure about the multitasking. I think amds are the Hondas of cpus and Intel core two duos are the americn muscle cars. Both have they're pros.
Other Thoughts: The cpu runs surprisingly cool for an AMD. I guess it's the brisbane core. You will want to get another fan for it though, i got a Blue orb on this now. I really do want to try core 2 duo. My buddy got the 4300 core 2 and OC'd to 3.2 - vista scored it a 5.9.

Pretty good
Pros: This is a decent CPU, I don't understand but if I'm running a norton scan one button clean up, it still freezes up. I thought a dual core would take care of this

Just AWESOME !!!!!
Pros: PRICE is cheap, dependable and LOW power consumpion. Great for running multipul apps,,,
Cons: cashe is only 512 x 2, but not really a con considering Intels smaller celerons only have 256 cashe.
Other Thoughts: My gaming rig is a Intel X6800 Core 2 Duo ,Evga 680i mobo, 3 gigs of G-Skill PC2 800 and a Evga GTX 8800 videocard. My system is AWESOME!!!, but when it is left running when downloading it HEATS the WHOLE room up VERY VERY hot and it raised the electric bill. So I`ve never built a AMD pc before so I bought the 65watt 4400+ x2 and the ECS 6100(Nvidia) mobo and built a system, I can leave it running 24 X 7 everyday. I am VERY impressed with this CPU, under HEAVY video editing it will ONLY get upto 111`F and when it is just downloading it runs around 70`F. I bought a Artic Cooling Alpine 64 cooler from NewEgg for $15.00 and it is one if not the best cooler I`ve EVER used and ONLY $15 bucks!!!! I am a INTEL boy, but this 4400 x2 sure put a DENT in my future Intel purchases!! This processor is WONDERFUL!!!!

Nice processor
Pros: Stable with no issues so far. 65 watt Brisbane.
Cons: None that I see.
Other Thoughts: 1 gig of L2 Cache would be nice.

AMD 2.3ghz
Pros: Very stable haven't had any problems yet.
Cons: Heat sink is junk, idles at 45, under load its 50 degrees. Gonna have to replace when I can afford a decent heat sink.
Other Thoughts: Good processor for the price.

Great for price
Pros: Solid performance for price
Cons: Limited Cache
Other Thoughts: Even though the Intel chips are faster right now AMD chips are stillvery good. AMD has been a solid price vs perfomance buy for many years.

Great bang for your buck
Pros: Overclocks well with the EPoX EP-AGF6110 motherboard. Runs like a champ, rock solid.
Cons: Runs a little warm, even at stock speeds. I think this is largely a problem with the cheap thermal compound that comes on the heatsink.
Other Thoughts: I've used this mobo/processor combo on two builds. The first processor tended to run rather hot, idling at stock speads around 48C. Second processor came with a notably chunkier heatsink, and idled at 42C. Definitely invest in some quality heatsink compound, the stuff it comes with is junk. Nice to see AMD improving their heatsinks where needed.

AMD Why Choose Anything Else.
Pros: Fast for a great price. I love Athlons and this chip. I will stick to AMD.
Cons: It wasint free. Even tho you dont need a manual really its good because the one that comes with it sucked.
Other Thoughts: The sticker is nice tho.

Pros: Energy efficient, blazing speed, easy installation, and the stock cooler is quiet and effective.
Cons: have had no problems.
Other Thoughts: Highly reccomended. I'm using it with an Asus M2N SLI deluxe motherboard and 2gb of memory. couldn't be happier.

Great Bang for the $$$$
Pros: Runs cool...even with the stock cooler! Great processor for the price.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Upgraded from an old Pentium 3 and this was a great compromise between speed and price. Paired it with an EVGA 7600GT, 1G Corsair, LG Super Multi DVD and Seagate HDD. All things considered it turned out faster than I thought it would. Would definitely buy again!

Awesome
Pros: Very fast, runs cool, and energy efficient. This processor is definitely worth the price.
Cons: None as of yet
Other Thoughts: AMD is a little late to the game with their 65nm processors, but it's been worth the wait.

Fast!
Pros: My 3rd AMD processor out of 8 machines I have built/owned since 1984. This is in an ASUS M2NVP-VM motherboard with 800MHz 2GBytes of memory. I am running Windows X64. I have done one fluid dynamic simulation with COSMOS just to test its speed. The combinations runs about 3 times faster than my Pentium-4 1.6GHz machine. Low power consumption too.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Quick delivery by Newegg. Will use Newegg from now on for my hardware purchases.
