No problem.
Pros: -It works like it should, no issues; -It's pretty fast.
Cons: -The included heatsink/fan could have been better.
Other Thoughts: It's nothing out of the ordinary. A good Intel processor. Might want to get a third party heatsink/fan, though.

Nice CPU
Pros: Runs supper cool, coolest cpu I have ever seen w/o overclock. Overclocked this to 3.2 rock stable no voltage changes.
Cons: Not as fast as a quad and cant cook my eggs on this since its too cool.
Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this cpu.

Great Proc
Pros: For me-fast and cool on stock fan. Have oc'd to 3 without voltage change
Cons: The quick superceeding by E8xxx series and now the i7. Unfortunently in 1 year, my CPU and MB are already 2 steps behind the game (Use Giga P-35 DS4 M.B.) Oh well, serves me well
Other Thoughts: still a great proc

very fast processor, and, well, cheap!
Pros: ya, this proc is great. great for anything you can throw at it, unless ur hd videoing all day. mine overclockd to 2.93 with 0 issues, but im too chicken to do more.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: heh, e8500 is the way 2 go, but i7 is for nerds who like to waste money...

Runs Mint
Pros: Fast Fast Fast. After running for over a year on stock heatsink this thing still screams.
Cons: Not CPU's fault, but in hindsite you could have always waited for an i7.
Other Thoughts: Current Build: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 4gb Corsair DDR2 WD 3x 1TB GIGABYTE GA-P35 Mobo

This thing takes abuse like nothing
Pros: I have been running this CPU OCed to 3.75GhZ (on air) for about a month now without any issues. It takes everything I throw at it as long as I stay under 3.8GhZ. Pretty awesome.
Cons: None. Wish I had bought a quad core, but that's not the CPUs fault.
Other Thoughts: It's worth saving up for a quad core, but if you can't wait or don't have the means this is not a bad way to go.

Fast card for its price, little more than a year ago...
Pros: It is amazing for its time, but you can probably get something better for the same price now. I run this CPU up to 3.23 GHz with Artic Cooler 7. Runs very cool.
Cons: Get a faster 45nm CPU, a little over a year ago this was not the case.
Other Thoughts: Too late to get this. Buy 8500 instead. Cheaper and runs faster at 3.16 GHz and not even counting the overclock.

Still Working Great
Pros: Great multitasking, still working great on the verge of 1 year of service, overclocked easily to 3.2ghz with an Arctic Cooler 7.
Cons: The stock heatsink was worthless, that's why I got he AC7 which enables it to overclock without much of a heat increase.
Other Thoughts: Games, videos, multitasking, and any other task come easily with this CPU, although the E8400 easily outperforms it now.

Pros: I bought one of these when they were first available. I using it for a year until I upgraded to Core i7. It worked flawlessly the entire time with the stock fan.
Cons: none

Great CPU
Pros: Bought this processor back in January when I was building my first HTPC which ended up being a lot more. I perform all my downloads and storage on that PC simulataneously. I couldn't be more satisfied. Access to my files is pretty quick and I never had a problem with it over heating. Watch my movies on Media Center without any problem.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Good card as it doesn't crash when overclocking on a constant basis.

Still going strong
Pros: This has been one of the best buys I have made in the computer arena. It has been rock solid stable and overclocks very well. During the warm months I drop it down to stock settings and it still out performs better than my expectations. I have run it at 3.2ghz, 3.4 and even 3.6 but not for long as I don't like the high temps since I am still using the stock cooler. At this point there really is no need for additional cooling. Runs at 3.4ghz with 1.28v Prime stable. Neither core has exceeded 70c under full load. Not bad for 65nm tech on air.
Cons: There is no way I could come up with anything negative to say about this processor as it serves me well.
Other Thoughts: I am running this on a Maximus Formula with 4gig of OCZ. The three of them compliment each other and has done everything from running Photoshop, Premiere and other encoding software as well as Crysis, Stalker, Bioshock and Fallout 3. Definately a worthwhile buy during it's prime. It's hard to recommend now with 45nm processors that overclock just as well if not better for less.

Pros: Good economy CPU - currently running it at 3.3Ghz after a motherboard replacement. No voltage tweaks, I'm not that brave
Cons: A newer core based of the smaller processes would be better at this point, of course.

One more positive review.
Pros: Good price vs. performance. I've had a stable overclock of 3.2Ghz. about as long I've owned it (it's been several months). I'm heavy into gaming, and so far it's kept up with all the latest. Great for your average build.
Cons: As usual, the stock heat sink and fan are sub par. It ran pretty hot before the overclock. The ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro took care of that problem. Then it was overclock city.
Other Thoughts: I'm thinking of going from 3.2Ghz to 3.4-3.6Ghz.

Working as intended.
Pros: I'm not as crazy as some people apparently, I'm running 3.1ghz with the stock cooler and I have had -zero- problems. Maybe after some arctic silver I'd be willing to try to push it even further.
Cons: lol?
Other Thoughts: I'm looking to upgrade to an E8500 to hold me over until the new i7 chips come out. Probably a better cost to performance than this chip anymore.

Great CPU
Pros: It is a great CPU, very stable. I have clocked it to 3.86 stable. I have seen some people overclock it to even 4.00Ghz, but it depends on the cpu.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Buy it.

solid performer
Pros: Great CPU! Used in my first build and had no issues whatsoever with it. Overclocking was a breeze, had more issues with my ram trying to keep up. If I had better ram I feel like I could get a couple hundred more Mhz out of this CPU, but thats just speculation. I've had it running stable at over 3.4Ghz with air cooling, but it runs warmer than I'd like (38C-56C) so I usually keep it around 3.2Ghz.
Cons: there are better and more expensive chips out there, but for the performance that you can get out of this why would you want to pay more?
Other Thoughts: My specs: E6750 @ 3.2 Ghz on Asus P5B Zalman 9500 cooler 120Gb WD 7200 + 750Gb Hitatchi 7200 OCZ Platinum @ 800Mhz ultra 600 watt power supply

Cons: nope

Amazing CPU!
Pros: I bought this for a new build in January and I couldn't be happier. This thing is rock solid and overclocks easy. Currently running cool and stable at 3.0Ghz with the stock heatsink.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Great for a speedy build thats on a budget. Theres much nicer chips out there but for the price the performance cannot be beat.

Great processor
Pros: I bought this processor almost a year ago. It has been working great so far. Ive overclocked easily to 3.0. I use my computer for frequent gaming and (along with my 8800 gts) it's run everything perfectly.
Cons: None.

Amazing
Pros: Amazing
Cons: Nothing!
Other Thoughts: Bought this for a new (also my first) build back in Dec 07 and about a month later I overclocked it. Been running at 3.6ghz for the past ~8 months and is perfect. All this on air and I still have room to OC it more. Although if you're big on OCing getting a newer Wolfdale would be better since they are 45nm and will run cooler.

Stable and Cool
Pros: Decent price. Overclockable. Runs cool.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Had this running stable at 3.2GHz with the stock heatsink on a Gigabyte P35 board. Had it up to 3.6GHz but it gets a bit flaky over 3.2.

Great overclocking ability. Stable and cool.
Pros: Great overclocker. Took it to 3.4 stable on just a Zalman Cooler with Artric Silver. It stays very cool regardless of whether or not you overclock it. It's very fast and very stable. My best processor ever.
Cons: Multiplier is locked but it didn't hold me back!
Other Thoughts: Don't buy a 6850 if it costs more. It's not worth it. I've gone far beyond 2.8 or 3.0.

Powerhouse!!!!
Pros: Fast. Overclocks well if you get the B Gzero revision. Temps are OK with Arctic Cooling Freezer 7: 40C idle, 68C load running prime 95 for an hour @ 3.0 GHz.
Cons: Doesn't reach it's potential on boards that are 1066/1333 FSB capable. Needs to be installed on no less than a 780i chipset that supports 1600 FSB through overclocking. My MSI P6N Platinum 650i chokes out beyond 1500 FSB running unlinked with RAM. (only a con if you are running a 1333MHz FSB chip- not enough OC headroom) Need to have a newer, pricier board to get highest OC. Ahh, neverending upgrades, I love this hobby!
Other Thoughts: I went from an AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 OC to 2.96GHz to this and this at stock is 33% faster (based on super pi 1M) than the AMD! Super pi went from 29.5sec to 19.75! Even all the 3DMarks went up substantially. THEN.... I overclocked it to 3 GHz. WOW. 3Dmark 01: 60,000; '03: 65,000; '05: 20,000; '06: 14,000! Super pi final: 16.4 sec! My System: This CPU, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7. MSI P6N Platinum 650i, (2) eVga 8800 GTX @ 626 core & 1000 vram. 2 Gigs of plain-jane DDR2 800, (4 Gigs of OCZ Reaper DDR2-800 coming today) (2) Maxtor Diamond Max 10 SATA 150s in RAID 0, ( Faster than a Velociraptor ) (1) Western Digital 500 Gig SATA 3G, (1) 80 Gig WD PATA, PC Power & Cooling 750, Samsung SH-S203B, Lite-On CD-ROM, Thermaltake Armor Full Tower with an extra hard drive cage w/120mm fan in front and lights galore. 9 fans altogether.

Pros: Best CPU from Intel in recent line up. I paired up with NVIDIA Geforce 8600GT GPU and play games for hours with the stock heatsink. No thermal issues so far. Very solid and stable CPU.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Quard core may be faster but Core 2 Duo is overall a better choice. It's a do everything great CPU. Newegg.com has the fastest shipping in internet shopping.

Excellent CPU
Pros: This processor's performance has astounded me. I went from a single core Pentium to this, so you can imagine the improvement in performance I saw. It's great. Runs everything easily barely getting to 20W.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I completely rebuilt my computer, so here's my build: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, Gigabyte GAEP35DS3L, G-Skill DDR2 800 2x1gb, GeForce 8600 GT, ZEROtherm BTF90, Antec 400w Smartpower all in an Antec Three Hundred with some after market fans for noise.

Decent Overclocker
Pros: .
Cons: .
Other Thoughts: Recently purchased this chip from my cousin for $80.
Clock Speed: 3.4GHz Core Voltage: 1.38V Idle Temp: 47C Load Temp: 63C
Might try to bring down the voltage. 27% overclock isn't bad though. My GTX 260 is slow one now!

Excellent, great for OC
Pros: Easy to oc. Good Value. Very Stable.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I would recommend water cooling for this if you plan on overclocking. I am waiting to get a Nautilus 500 when they are back in stock to overclock mine. I have a buddy that has watercooling and his is at a stable 3.0 and plans on pushing that up a bit in the future.. Great product

Excellent
Pros: very solid performance, max performance to $ ratio. you can easily overclock this chip to 3.5GHZ with air colling and achieve performance of more expensive processors.
Cons: stock cooler is not useful if you want to overclock, you need a better cooler, it was better if Intel dropped the cost and did not provide a cooler at all. Also installation of stock cooler is not very convenient in some mobos

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Used with a EVGA 680i mobo, oc'd to 3.5ghz @ 1.388 voltz stable. Overall Great processor. Runs @ 32c idle and ~50c or lower under load
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Sometimes when playing Gears of War pc online, my computer locks up, don't know if its b/c the processor gets to hot in the game or if it was a software issue.

One year later, Still amazing!
Pros: 4MB Cache. Overclocks to 3.5GHz stable without voltage change. 1333MHz FSB gives plenty of extra bus bandwidth with DDR2 ram. Runs cool, even when overclocked.
Cons: 65nm is now old technology and the 45nm models can get the same speed with less energy and heat. Stock cooler really is pretty terrible. It WILL work fine, but I got an ASUS cooler for under a sawbuck with great reviews that I love which does a better job quieter.
Other Thoughts: Recommend getting a separate cooler, especially for overclocking (if not for the heat, than for noise). Also, look into the 45nm models with 6MB cache for gaming, or the 3MB models for general purpose computing because 3MB is not much slower than 4 in the end, but 6 is nice and speedy.
Check out this cooler for a cheap replacement for the stock heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835101012
The cheap ASUS cooler keeps mine around 35-45C idle/load. Remember, these chips can operate well into the 80C range and be quite happy for many years!

Well worth it
Pros: It's been going for a few months now. Like what I get and it stays cool. I'm not a big overclocker (as in never overclocked) but this was my first build and other reviewers make it sound like I have the right one to try for the first time.
Cons: Dissappointed in self for not trying overclocking.
Other Thoughts: With the down time I have before classes start back up, I think I'll see about overclocking and return with an update. Oh and only a $5 difference from when I first bought it. That lets me know I definitely got my money's worth.

Great Processor
Pros: Had it for about 6 months and am really impressed w/ it's oc'ing. I have it running 24/7 at 3.6ghz at ~1.30v (after v-droop). That's actually undervolting (VID is 1.325). Totally stable. Takes a big leap in voltage to get up to 4ghz (1.5) and beyond. Can't do that well w/ too much vdroop. Very fast though.
Cons: Not competitive w/ intel's other products anymore, the 45nm procs are clocked faster and are the same price or cheaper. Although this is a great proc, get a e8xxx.
Other Thoughts: Fantastic proc for it's time. I got a good one too. If my mb was completely stable in voltage (no vdrop), this could go to about 3.7 at stock voltages, and that's impressive. Still, the e8400 now costs less. The e6600 still costs more too. They just don't change they're prices........

Wow!
Pros: This CPU is a beast! It's blazing fast, runs extremely stable and cool, and overclocks with ease. Core 2 Duo's are amazing. I had been using AMD processors for the past decade but Intel has finally won me over again. (Not since the PIII)
Cons: NONE!
Other Thoughts: For the money, the Core 2 Duo's and Quad's are the best CPU's on the market at the present time. BUY IT!

First Intel in many moons
Pros: Seems to be a good Duo core. To be honest I did not see much improvement over my AMD 4800+ X2 939 pin processor which I also bought from Newegg.
Cons: None really, maybe I was expecting more out of this CPU because of all the hype.
Other Thoughts: Been building systems since 1990. Have used Intel, AMD, Cyrix, and NexGen processors with all chipsets. That always seems to be the key. You match the right CPU with the right chipset and you have the performance game won.

Amazing
Pros: after a year the price only dropped 25 which makes me happy. anyways i'v had this solid at 3.2ghz (stock cooler) for a while in till i got my aftermarket cooler, now its at 3.8ghz stable 1.45v, hasn't let me down yet.
Cons: the G0 stepping seems to have a limit around 3.8ghz, i know my walls been hit, won't move more than 10mhz over without a reset. (read other thoughts)
Other Thoughts: to conclude my theory of the "wall" i managed to get 3.8ghz 6x @ 535fsb with my GA-P35-DS4L it wasn't very stable but it proved without a doubt that the cpu cannot go higher than that. once the FSB was lowered to 476@8x neither the ram nor the northbridge held it back but 3.8ghz was the still the limit even at 1.5v. I'm not disappointed to say the least, hitting 1.2ghz OC is a dream.

E6750 One of the Best!!
Pros: This joker is My first Core 2 Duo processor..I've ever owned.I did'nt but it for newegg..but i'm here to say it can handle some overclocking..I got my up to 3.6GHz at 1.368 volts using Corsair XMS2 2GB DDR2 800 TWIN2X2048-6400C4 with Ga-Ep35c-ds3r rev 2.1 stable with orthos idle temp 28c stress temp at 51c..I believe..I can get it 4.0Ghz with some Good 1066 memory..I got it running at 3.0GHz right now for the Last 8 months ram tight at 4-4-4-12 and there's no problems cooled by the Cooler Master RC-590 full with 120mm blue led's with the Cooler Master RR-CCH-L9U1-GP 92mm Hyper TX2 CPU and it is Lapped and Polished ..I keep my central air at 69 one of my roof vent is right over my Rig
Cons: None..
Other Thoughts: I wanted to wait and get the E8400 then it came down in price after..I got the E6750..now..I'm waiting on the E8600 to do the same Price change down the line for the new built..

Pros: Ok, so it isn't a Penryn, but I love this thing! Fast, and powerful; just what I wanted and at a good price. Haven't OC'ed it but the way people have been describing this chip it sounds like it can be easily.
Cons: None, although at one point I thought I had to underclock the chip to 2.33gHz (as that was what my mobo was rated at). Thing is, the mobo raised itself.
Other Thoughts: The Wolfdale is at the same price right now, and is more powerful. However, the Conroe has been around slightly longer and may prove better for OC'ing. Then again, I haven't OC'ed in my life, so I wouldn't know which would be better. Thing is, I love it.

e6750 awesome processor
Pros: Running with a nvidia 680i mobo and this processor for a year+ now at 3.0ghz and 1500mhz fsb, completely stable through anything I've thrown at it. Easily can overclockable to 3+ghz as stated in other reviews.

Satisfied
Pros: Great product.
Powerful, cheap, a jack of all trades, really.
A GREAT upgrade from my old 3.0ghz p4.
Cons: The e8400 is only an iota more expensive, yet much, much powerful.

Great processor
Pros: I have been running this processor @ 3 ghz for 8 months and never had a problem. By far the best cpu I have ever purchased.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: Paid 194.99 in Nov07, today it is selling for 10 less @ $184.99. 95% price retention after 8 months- that's amazing in the processor world. Just goes to show how great this chip is....

Awesome chip
Pros: Great overclocker. No complaints
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I would have gotten the e8400 when I first purchased this but the price difference was a lot more than the $20 it is now.
This thing overclocks great. With a Hyper Tx2 cooler I got this up to 3.1 before having to adjust the vcore. Now I have it at 3.55 at 1.375v and it's idling at 31C and 24hr load it stayed under 55c! I could easily get a full 1ghz overclock but it's not really noticeable for me so 3.55ghz pleases me.

Pros: good processor, works, very fast even though i leave on all the power saving and idling technology so my fans stay below 1000rpms
Cons: if i had the extra chips i would of got the e8400
Other Thoughts: would recommend combining this with a ga-p35-ds3l

Great Processor
Pros: Not the best heat sink, but very quiet fan.
Cons: Stock heat sink is mostly aluminum. Cable ties on the heat sink are poorly positioned. It took a bit to get the wires to not rub the fan blades.
Other Thoughts: Thermal solution is mediocre, I suggest buying some and replacing the stock thermal compound.

Very please
Pros: Very fast and very cool. On average it's running at 29C! I've ran Speedfan and monitored while I played Crysis. I have XP, 2 GB of Kingston HyperX Ram DDR2 1066, an Asus P5KE-WIFI MOBO, a Antec 550W PS, and using a 9600GT graphics card. During game play the hottest my cpu got on FULL settings was 41C! My pc is in my basement where the avg temp is 69F! I love everything about my setup. You will not be disappointed with this CPU! Oh, by the way, I run Crysis with all the setting maxed out and have zero lag.
I've ran multiple programs while burning DVD's, downloading movies, playing songs, and playing games and have had no issues with this CPU!
Cons: None, are you kidding me?
Other Thoughts: When I bought this I was looking at the E8400 but it wasn't available at the time. For the price difference I'm glad I bought this one now that I have seen it perform. You won't be disappointed.

Great cpu
Pros: Got this for my new college system (Vista, 2gb ram), and it works great. Have had no problems with it at all. Anything you want to do with it, it will handle very well. Don't need to spend $100 more for marginal performance increase. Excellent at over clocking. I got this to 3.4GHz with stock cooling.
Cons: Stock fan isn't very great at cooling, nor noise (comparatively). It'll do fine, but for my next year I'm getting an Ultima-90 with a Scythe fan so it doesn't seem like my computer is too noisy for my non-desktop roommate.
Other Thoughts: Bought this August 2007 for about $210.

C2D 2.66ghz
Pros: Not much to say, great for desktop computing. Hardly ever see a slowdown.
Cons: Not the greatest for gaming, but that's no product flaw. That's just my budget =)

Good but outdated
Pros: Great price at time. good solid cpu can hold its ground against all AMDs cpus except their quads loads of improvement over my laptops cpu a merom @ 2.0GHz. a good deal for a budget
Cons: got this instead of an e8400 because they were out of stock also e6850 is about the same price now get it since 2.66 is rather becoming rather slow for a dual core. only 4mb on L2
Other Thoughts: for the price get a 45nm cpu loads better and most mainstream motherboards support them now. no oc yet but will in future. my build gigabyteP35, 7900gs, 2gig Gskill, SG 250gig, Artic cooler 7

Great chip
Pros: Runs exceptionally cool and quiet. I have difficulty telling that it's even running. Also blindingly fast. My Linux KDE desktop goes from login screen to all windows open and ready in under 2 seconds.
Cons: none so far, six months in.
Other Thoughts: This chip does everything I expected from it. Totally satisfied. After I bought this, the E8200 was introduced. Today I would get that instead due to the larger on-chip cache and the 45nm process.

Fast
Pros: This thing is fast! And OC's very well. Get it, very worth it. I am very happy with this buy.
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: I managed to overclock this baby to 2.69GHz and keep it stable using a VIGOR GAMING CLT-M2I 92mm. After 2.7GHz there are artifacts and random power offs. Oh well, not bad I say.

"great over clocker"
Pros: Inexpensive and great overclocker for the price. Running it on my evga 780i, 8x475 for 1900 fsb @3800 MHz 24/7 59c prime95 small ftt's.
Presently kicking the tar outta all Q6600's in Crysis bench at EOCF with my 8800 GT. 48.24 fps @1280x1024 all settings on HIGH.
Overclock doesn't degrade with time as with 8400 wolfdale's which are becoming a better deal as prices drop.
Cons: 3.5 GHz with stock cooling was running very hot. Needs after market HSF for higher clocks but that is expected. Needs lapping for best heat transfer. Using Xigmatek S1283, cheap and works quite well.
Other Thoughts: No need for me to upgrade until Nehalem comes out and prices come down on those.

Great CPU
Pros: Worked great, first build. Have it overclocked @ 3.2Ghz since I had first got it. G0 stepping which means cooler. I game so I don't need quad core yet.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Get a CPU that meets your needs!

Nice CPU
Pros: Ive had this CPU for over 6 months now, and Overclocked to 3.7ghz rock solid the whole time. Looking at upgrading soon, but this cpu has served me very well so far, and would likely clock even higher if not for my motherboard hitting its cieling at around 465mhz FSB. This is all on air cooling and under 50c fully loaded.
Cons: none. Cheap, and could potentially hit 4.0ghz. Runs very cool.
Other Thoughts: If you want a cheap core2duo that will clock to 3.5ghz ++ Then you simply cant beat this chip. It will do 3.5+ right out of the box on air cooling.

Overclocked to 3.2 GHz, no problem
Pros: Even after overclocking to 3.2 GHz it still runs reasonably cool, even under a full load. For me, it idles around 35 degrees C, and is around 48 degress C under full load.
Cons: None.

Freaking Awesome Processor!
Pros: This processor can easily hit 3.2ghz and remain stable at default voltage. I have a Zalman CNPS 9500 installed. I can run this thing at 3.4ghz easily, and can get 3.6ghz out of it, but don't really want to risk frying something. Night and day difference when upgrading from P4 Prescott 3.2ghz. This e6750 idles around 30*C and full load at 42*C @3.2ghz. This is the best C2D that I have seen.
Cons: I wish I knew what a better processor can do, because I haven't seen anything better. I don't know what a quad core can do or an extreme core.
Other Thoughts: eVGA 680i SE-TR mobo / 4gb OCZ SLI PC6400 / 2 SLI - MSI 8600 GT OC 256mb each / 600 watt Rosewill PSU. Processor LOVES to be overclocked and with a motherboard that loves to overclock dual cores, its a great combination. Too bad they discontinued the 680 SE-TR mobos.

Pros: Great CPU! Got ti for a build for my fiance. Easily got it to 3.2 with an MSI P6NGM-L, and Crucial CT2KIT12864AA667 wich most would consider budget parts. The memory is running 1:1 and stable. The CPU rarely goes about 50C under full load with the stock voltage/HSF. The HSF is lapped and has AS-5 applied but that is still pretty awesome!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I have been putting off upgrading my system for a while as I don't really game much anymore, but for the price and performance off this CPU I'm seriously considering buying one. I may go with an E8400 for myself, but I like overclocking and tweaking my system.

Pros: Overlocked to 3.2 with stock cooling without breaking a sweat. It idles around 30 degrees Celsius.

good midrange CPU
Pros: * low power consumption, cool running * stock HSF is quiet enough for most purposes * easy installation * more than fast enough for most purposes
Cons: * pushpin HSF installation
Other Thoughts: I cleaned off the provided thermal compound and used Arctic Silver instead. The amount of compound Intel would have you use is way too much.

Great chip
Pros: Very fast chip. I use it mostly for gaming and it hsnt run into any troubles yet. I will be overclocking soon to at least 3ghz once my new heatsink comes in.
Cons: Well it runs SUPER hot with the stock fan. idle im at 60c and load upwards of 90c i wasnt aware of how hot it has been running until last week and i quickly ordered a good heatsink it come next week cant wait.
Other Thoughts: Forget about trying to oc this baby at all on the stock fan i tried and system shuts down instantly. just runs too hot. when u order this chip order a new fan at the same time it will save you time.

Great Proc for the money
Pros: For the money (at least when purchased) this proc was the best bang for the buck. Now with the 45 nm processors out, and they are coming down in price, it might be worth looking to a different model. But you honestly can't go wrong with this particular processor. Its performance is fantastic and stable.
Cons: None

Perfect
Pros: Very good CPU, no issues what so ever. Highly OC-able.
Cons: Never.
Other Thoughts: Get a good HSK for this puppy..ESP if you want to OC it. Something like an arctic freezer pro, or a zalman will do fine.

Better Overclocker than Dreamed
Pros: Comes at a fairly high stock fsb (333.3), can easily hit 416.6 (3.3 GHz) with a mild vcore of 1.4 Stock fan is not best for the nerves while installing, but does cool very well. Recently I bumped the fsb to 450 (read 3.6 GHz) with a vcore of 1.475. This combined with synced 900mhz ram pretty much pwns anything I've ever seen, for much, much cheaper. Temps do hit 63C with dual prime95's on the stock heatsink though.
Cons: Multiplier is locked at 8x, rather than the 10x of the E6700
Other Thoughts: Oddly, I could not get a post with my evga mobo for any fsb between 416.6 and 450.

Grrrrreat
Pros: OCing in the BIOS works great. I don't play games very often so I have it running on stock speed. Handles all my programs with ease.
Cons: MSI Dual Core Center overclocking software crashes when I try to increase the speeds.
Other Thoughts: mobo: MSI P6N SLI Platinum, video: EVGA Nvidia 8600gt, 2GB mushkin ddr2 800
Runs about 32C while surfing the internet on stock fan and speed.

Pros: Great speed, runs ice-cold
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: The stock cooling is great, I'm using some Arctic Silver thermal compound and the internal core temperatures are cooler than the room

A must!
Pros: Paired it with a EVGA 680i and it worked great. Can run two instances of prime95 at the same time! It will run anything I can throw at it with ease.
Cons: It didn't install itself?
Other Thoughts: Much faster than my old Sempron 1.8 Ghz.

Yeah!
Pros: Nice packaging, nice instructions, nice fan and heat sink. Installed easy. Already has the thermal paste on the chip. Works good with Windows XP with security software.
Cons: Still looking for a negative.
Other Thoughts: I took the "Intel inside" sticker and put it on the outside of the CPU fan motor so it could be seen through my case's see through window. You really have to press down hard to pop the rivets into the Motherboard. I put a soft spacer between the board and case when I was pushing so I lessen the chance of damaging the motherboard.

good for the price
Pros: Works well, stable at stock with stock fan. Alot faster than my pentium D. 1333 FSB for good price.
Cons: not a quad core?
Other Thoughts: Havent tried oc'ing but heard its stable up to 3.4. Works fine for me at stock though so im gonna keep it there. Can max out COD4, Oblivion, WIC, anything but Crysis. My rig= E6750, ECS 650i mobo, 2 gb ddr2 800 ram, geforce 8600 gts 512, 550w psu.

great proc
Pros: Great speed, can do a lot of things my old proc (P4 2.27 ghz) couldn't do in a million years
Cons: there are better deals out there
Other Thoughts: haven't tried overclocking, and probably won't. works great for what I use it for.

Very Satisfied
Pros: Handles my tasks quite well (CAD, gaming, misc media) w/ Vista x64 OS. I've got it overclocked slightly to 3.2GHz for the performance and have had no problems on my Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus. Haven't had a desire/need to push it any further.
Cons: Perhaps the factory heatsink...my full tower has good air flow, so no prob for me but may heat up more compact/crowded towers. No big prob as heatsink is easily upgraded...if you want.

ice cold...
Pros: I love this thing, idles at 19c, 23c under load while oc'ed to 3ghz! crazy compaired to my old amd, 30c idle and 40c under load at 2.6 ghz
Cons: The mounting for the heatsink sucks, but it works great.
Other Thoughts: asus maximus formula, 2gb muskin ddr2, 700watt muskin psu, 320gb wd sata hdd, 22inch samsung lcd, custom case

Great CPU
Pros: Fantastic chip. It's quick, its cool, and it does all I need it to. The processor idles at ~26c, sometimes going lower, the air being exhausted out of the rear of my case actually feels COOL. Under load ive not seen it top 40c.
Cons: I missed out on the free game =(
Other Thoughts: Great mid-range CPU that will give you lots of bang for the buck. Easy to overclock as most have said and will still run cool and stable with a light OC to 3 or 3.2.

Sweet little proc
Pros: Overclocks EASY.
Cons: Could always be cheaper. =)
Other Thoughts: OC'd to 3.2GHz with a Freezer 7 Pro with room to spare.

Pros: Runs cool. OC's easily to 3.2 or higher on air. With better ram I'm sure it could have pushed 3.6 or higher stable.
Cons: Somewhat outdated with the E8400 price dropping

Still Undecided
Pros: It is close to the overall speed of my replaced AMD 64X2 4800+.
Cons: I heard so much jibber about intel over AMD I thought I might break a 15 year commitment and try one. Not very impressed. 2.4 AMD vs 2.66 Intel, Intel lost but I will keep it as it was close. (still no cigar)
Other Thoughts: I don't use all these quasi CPU benchmark programs to judge what is faster. These programs can be skewed either way. I look at the performance I had vs the the performance I have now. Maybe a Quad core match-up will be next. I've been building custom systems since 91 and witnessed the whole opera play out. Cyrix, NexGen, AMD, Intel. Two left standing and if one folds your next CPU will cost as much as your next car.

Love my e6750
Pros: I snagged this chip July,07 and have been overclocking the bejesus out of it/serious gaming with it ever since. It runs 3.5 stable_38C @idle,never over 60C_1.41v on STOCK COOLING["yeah right" you probably think].I have pushed it as high as 4ghz for kicks but it wouldnt boot windows at that wicked speed.
Cons: zero
Other Thoughts: Wolfdale or a Q6600 is the cpu to go for in the 200 or so price range. But if you cant find/afford those this aint a bad alternative at all, since the performance increase with the 8000's is'nt THAT great.

Currently, not best buy
Pros: Excellent processor.Using N.O.S idles @2.68, load runs 3.1 gig. Ran both cores 100%, room temp 72F, core temp 102F steady for 30 min, with "STOCK" HSF.(good case ventilation). Stock HSF is only "JUNK" if your an extreme OC or have poor case ventilation.
Cons: Current price, with E8400 down to $200 I won't pay more $130 for this one.
Other Thoughts: The 8400's extra 2m of cache alone is worth another $20. Don't get me wrong, I love this processor, and it was a great deal when I bought mine. The price will probably drop like a rock soon. E6750, 4gig GSkill DDR2 800, HIS 1950 Pro, WD 320 & 250 gig HDDs, SATA DVD burner, Rosewill 550w PSU, NZXT Blackline steel case.

Great, But should have waited for E8400
Pros: I bought this cpu for my new gaming rig because the e8400 is out of stock. I haven't yet run into a game this thing couldn't handle, coupled with an 8800 GTS 512 MB. Easily overclocked to 3.2 on stock and running stable at 38 degrees.
Cons: Not really a con, but the e8400 is just better. I wish I had waited. Oh well.
Other Thoughts: Great CPU, handles all current games.
