Awesome Value
Pros: This processor was used to improve the performance of an older machine. The previous processor was an E2200, and I can safely say that the upgrade has made this a whole new machine - it's noticeably faster and more responsive at pretty much everything. Overall a fantastic purchase. Runs cool, provides plenty of processing power, all in all a great value.
Cons: None as of yet.

Fast and quiet
Pros: The processor runs nice and fast and the fans are very quiet. I have had no problems with it.
Cons: It took me a while to get the fan seated into the motherboard properly, but maybe that was just my inexperience so I won't take a star off for that.
Other Thoughts: I didn't know this, but the stock fan that comes with it has thermal compound already on it, so if you plan to use the stock cpu fan then you won't need to buy thermal compound. I'm running a standard cpu speed, no overclocking.

Nice
Pros: Beautiful packaging. Nice quiet fan and it works. The best thing about the Core 2 Duo's is that they run cooler than most other processors but still give you computation power! You will like.
Cons: The little things make me nervous when trying to install them.
Other Thoughts: I wonder when they will have a sheepdale?

Cons: none
Other Thoughts: great cpu for the money.

Fast!
Pros: Installed very easily. Runs great. No issues after installation.
Cons: Thermal paste is pre-applied to the heatsink and the installation instructions for the heatsink are not particularly clear.
The arrows on the connecting pegs indicate the direction to turn when removing the heatsink (as opposed to the direction to turn to lock the heatsink in place).
Having never installed one before, it was disappointing to have the heatsink not click in place after the thermal paste had been smooshed onto the processor.

Good to go
Pros: Fast, consistent, good quality. The old style PS2 plugs for the keyboard are retro and pretty cool. I don't use the internal sound card, so I wouldn't know about the 7.1 features. The board never runs hot.
Cons: Noisy, the fan does it's job, but it makes some noise. My AMD 4800+ is less noisy. This is not a major problem, the board never runs hot.
Other Thoughts: Good CPU for the buck, the Linux HAL got everything immediately.

Great Processor!
Pros: For what I do...it's amazingly fast. I would recommend this CPU to anyone who isn't gaming or doing intense computing.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I built my PC with my budget in mind and this processor just made sense. $120 for a 2.93GHz dual core processor? I think so. Installation was a breeze. Other reviews I've read complain about the stock heatsink and fan, but really, I had no problems snapping them in. Let's talk temperatures. I've seen mine idle anywhere from 27-30C as well as 37-40C, which simply tells me that it is a matter of the ambient temps. So before anybody starts subtracting eggs for temperatures, test your rigs with room temperatures in mind…they play a big role! My tower is sitting in my bedroom which ranges from 66-75F so obviously the temps of my CPU are going to vary. At room temperature however, this thing ran between 33-35C Idle. Pretty decent seeing as It's all air cooling and stock. I am using Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste and it seems to be doing just fine.

Great
Pros: Dual core, can easily reach 3.33Ghz. Anti virus and defrag programs can run at the same time with little to no slowdown.
Cons: Not all programs utilize multi-core yet, other then that, none.
Other Thoughts: Overclocked this cpu to 3.33Ghz with a 1.33 vcore. Runs all my games max settings with a his 4670 1Gb, games are mostly source but i also play gta sa, burnout paradise(medium with 2x aa), audiosurf, fallout 3. I previously had a p4 @ 3.0 Ghz and this thing just kills that.

Great proc low power
Pros: Lower power consumption and higher clock speed than the e6600 it replaced
Cons: not dirt cheap yet
Other Thoughts: Most software that I run does not utilize dual core efficiently, so instead of getting a new computer with an i7 I opted to upgrade the proc with a lower power consumption and faster proc. No problems nor complaints. Quick shipping as always from the egg!

Bought for a Dell Inspiron 530
Pros: Intel Virtualization Technology, which allows Windows 7 Pro to run XP Mode. (S-spec: SLGTE)
The Intel Core 2 down clocks to about 1.6ghz when usage is light. Which improves the life of the processor, and saves electricity.
A decent mid-range processor, which is usually more than enough.
Cons: Two different versions of this processor. One with Virtualization, and one without.

works with EX490
Pros: dropped it straight into HP EX490 that is also on sale. Works out of the box. Reboot twice to get dual cpu's to show in windows home server. idles at ~43-47. with stock HP heatsink (passive). works fine. Server is much snappier now. Thanks Newegg!
Cons: none

fast and cool
Pros: Super stable I have this cpu overclocked to 3.4Ghz, 1600FSB, and 1.4 volts. Even at full load it never brock 47º C this is truly the best processor i have ever owned, and up into this point i have been the biggest AMD fan boy. this is the first Intel Chip i have ever own and i dont know if i will ever go back.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: PLEASE NOTE!!! I have a good cooler, when on stock settings and my system is just idling it never brakes 20º C. And Load never brakes 35º C.

No VT hurts this one
Pros: Makes a nice fast desktop for a relatively low thermal footprint and a great price point.
Cons: Processor lacks virtualization which means that a major feature of Windows 7 is not supported. I have a few apps that appear to need to be able to be installed in XP virtual mode in order to work on Win7(64 bit) and I can't do that. (It sure would be nice to be able to sync my palm!)
Come on Intel. This is a relatively new processor and apparently one of the few in the Core 2 Duo line that doesn't support VT. Must have been the marketing people that came up with this one... D*mn I hate Intel marketing people.
Other Thoughts: May end up doing a "double purchase" and buying a processor with VT unless I decide to use my wife's laptop to sync or I decide to do it in linux once I get around to dual booting my desktop machine.

Cons: Legs of the heatsink seemed about to snap when i had to remove it to reinstall the CPU.. they didnt though so not worth removing an egg
Other Thoughts: Didn't seat properly the first time i put it in. probably my fault

Good CPU
Pros: Good performance-to-cost ratio. This was easily the easiest Intel heat-sink to install of the last 5 builds; either I'm getting better or the mounts have improved - a lot.
Cons: Not hyper-threading. I kow, I know, only the S-series have hyperthreading for the LGA 775 socket, but why are they SO MUCH more expensive?
Alright, it's not a con, it's a whine...
Other Thoughts: They're just simple and easy to use, and they overclock extremely well. Now that the prices are dropping on the dual-cores, they're getting close to being a bargain.
When Office 2010 is finally released, we'll have a suite that (finally) takes advantage of the 64-bit capabilities.

Nice CPU
Pros: Cheap Good $/performance ratio
Cons: Heat Sink
Other Thoughts: Nice upgrade from my Core 2 Duo e6400. Went from a 5.3 experience score to 6.4. Easy to install except for heat sink which can be a bit tricky to snap into place. Awesome delivery time! Got here a day early.

Great Low Cost Processor
Pros: For the money, this is a great CPU, does just fine under a load and decodes video quickly. I have been very impressed with this processor.
Cons: None really, For a lower end processor, it definately does great.
Other Thoughts: Everyone is saying that this thing runs hot, but I have an Thermaltake Orb II cooler on it and it is running at about 27c to 32c

Pros: It goes, " Om nom nom" to anything I ask it to do. Games run flawless, computer starts and shuts down speedily. It's a great card. And I was on the fence about this and a quad-core, but when with this because of budget.
Cons: Did not make me eligible for free Whoppers and Burger King.
Other Thoughts: Great CPU.

Intel Core2 Duo Wolfdale 2.93GHz
Pros: This is a Great processor for this money. Fast and if no real processing power is needed look no further than this Bad Lad right here. The stock fan is fine, but still have a minimum of a front fan and back fan in the case still. A side fan would also be of excellent choice for cooling you MoBo and other Components.
Cons: The factory fan is a little on the cheap side, but installed correctly it works just fine for this CPU
Other Thoughts: A person gaming with others might want to step up to another CPU with a 1333 fsb. If on a budget and still need real speed this one will do and is overclockable, but the stock fan might have to go if OC is very high.

Stable but Warm
Pros: This CPU surprised me. Nice and quick! I actually wondered why I some people go above and beyond for a second or two difference. This CPU will do the job quickly and efficiently.
Cons: CPU runs a little hot for me. Idle's on stock cooler at 57c. My other CPU's from Intel around 40c on stock coolers. Contacted Intel support just to be on the safe side and this is normal for this processor. Go figure!
Other Thoughts: Was looking for a processor for a new computer I was putting together for the parents. Wanted to make the overall cost as low as possible while keeping the technology somewhat modern. This CPU was perfect. Although nearly the lowest on the Core 2 pole, this CPU holds its own! If you're looking for a chip that is stable and won't break the wallet, look no further.

Intel Processor
Pros: This sucker is fast. It make my pentium 4 pc look like a 486SX.
Overclocked it to 3.10 without issues. I don't want to push it very much. Runs very cool. I was surprised of the heatsink is half the size of the pentium 4 series.
Cons: Nothing
Other Thoughts: I bought one for myself.

Intel forever!
Pros: I'm not overclocking, but it still scored a 5.9 in Vista! Runs cool to moderate with stock fan/heatsink.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I only use Intel CPU's. I tried AMD years ago and wasn't impressed. Maybe they've improved, but I'm brand loyal to Intel now.

Fantastic Processor for the price
Pros: This is just about the best bang for your buck CPU wise outside the E8400. This thing tears through Crysis, Far Cry 2, L4D2 Demo, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and just about any game i can think of. i haven't tried GTA4 knowing that the R* did a horrible job programing the game and the fact that it loves 4 cores and video cards with 1gb of GDDR3 or GDDR5 memory interfaces.
Rig This sexy beast of a processor 4GB DDR2 @800mhz ATI HD 4870 512mb GDDR5 550 watt Rosewill PSU Intel g33m02 mainboard
Cons: runs a little hot with its with my old heatsink, and thats my major con, the heatsink that the processor comes with looks really cheap and its does not come with a back mounting plate so its near impossible to mount unless you have a newer LGA775 board. but the temps arnt too high it idles for me Core#0 at 35-37c and Core#1 at 43C and the highest ive seen it go was 73c while running Intelburn stability test at its maximum level, which it passed with flying colors. also a 4-6mb level 2 cache would of been nice but im not complaining xD
Other Thoughts: great cpu. this thing has the right stuff to be rocking games at high settings for the next 2 years, by then i5's and i7's will have droped in price.

Best for the money
Pros: Extremely fast and very cost effective.
Cons: I hate the CPU heat sink and fan, they're just cheesy. Invest in a Zalman fan which is bolted to the motherboard unlike these that twist into place which I find a pain. I will never use another factory CPU fan from Intel again.
Other Thoughts: I built this PC for my step daughter as an early Christmas present. Shes not much of a gamer, only IMVU. Her system is an ASUS P5LD2 v2 motherboard, this CPU, 2 gigs OCZ DDR2 ram, Western Digital hard drive, Apevia X-Cruiser case (green), and a liteon CD/DVD burner. Haven't figured out which video card to get her yet.

Wow, this chip is GREAT!
Pros: L2 Cache is very large if you ask me. It consumes only 60W at its peak. It works like a dream. This is my most advanced processor yet and I did not need to overclock it. My Windows Experience score is 6.5. That is fantastic for me.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Intel chips are getting beter at a very face pace. At the same time, their prices are getting lower every year.

Good Standard dual core
Pros: Great proc. does what i need it to and it runs games like a champ. nothing wrong with the product.
Cons: I think intel really needs to drop the price on it's proc's. AMD is so much cheaper. the con is the price and the price only.

sort of good
Pros: i expected going from a p4 2.88 ghz to this would be fast speed boost, but quickbooks still drags. it's probably Quickbooks, because they suck. it runs spore, so that's probably a good thing. how can i tell
Cons: i wish i was smarter to know the processor differences, but no time to read new egg university
Other Thoughts: I can't believe new egg uses styrofoam packing peanuts! come on get green, use kraft paper! the peanuts make a mess everywhere!

Cons: Information on this is misleading. The Intel website states that ordering codes that begin with BX have VT-x. The item shipped from Newegg with the BX ordering code, but does not have VT-x. The rating would have been higher if I had gotten what I was expecting.
Other Thoughts: Check the S-Spec of the processor once it arrives. If you are looking for VT-x, make sure you have SLGTE.

Yes Yes
Pros: For the Dual-Core Processor's this is the best deal. Comparing the Processor's above it there was not much of a difference. With a good Motherboard and some decent cooling Overclocking should be a breeze.
Cons: N/A
Other Thoughts: I slapped the chip into a all new build and the customer was very happy with the results from his old Pentium 4 1.70 GHz. Newegg as always great price and fast shipping.

IC2D E7500
Pros: Great processor for the money. It's already at 2.93 averaging close to 3.0ghz. Upgrading my brothers computer with this processor.
Cons: No con's about this CPU.
Other Thoughts: If your looking for a decent upgrade and do not want to overkill yourself with the prices out there, then get this processor.

Pros: Seems to be very quick, haven't tried OC yet.
Cons: The heatsink and its plastic connectors are very flimsy/hard to put into motherboard. Had to use a good deal of force to get them to snap in to place and warped the motherboard a bit. Unfortunate. Ordering a new heatsink/fan to replace this stock one

Pros: Awesome processor for an affordable price. Fast and running cool so far.
Cons: None for me.
Other Thoughts: Using this core 2 duo for my Windows 7 RC build along with a pretty cheap (yet awesome) Intel board and I am blown away. This computer is replacing a P4 HP d530 and it is just lightening quick.

Pros: As far i can tell Intel makes the fastest highest quality processors of anyone in the tech world. This dual core Wolfdale runs absolutely fantastic and also very cool. What else can i say except that Intel does not make trash.

Decent Proc for X64 - No VT however :(
Pros: Great Proc for an upgrade from an AMD Single Core. Fast enough to run most games and with a decent vid card this thing screams.
Cons: Tried to install XP Mode for Win 7 Ultimate, but found out that there is no virtualization Tech supported for the chip. A bummer, but not world ending.
Other Thoughts: I recommend this Proc as an upgrade to get some of us old Single core users up to the new tech. Good game proc and all around home office.

Not too bad
Pros: Overclocks pretty well. Running it 3.5 on the stock fan on level 6 (out of 7) with normal voltage. Runs in the mid 30's to low 40's.
Cons: Stock fan is loud and those plastic clips truely are all but useless. If you MB doesn't have a metal support bracket on the back, remove your mother board to install the heatsink and fan. That way you can line up the holes better and won't warp the board as much.
Other Thoughts: This CPU is good if you want a mid-range CPU that will last you about a year before it's considered a little out dated. you can always upgrade to a quad 2 core in a year or so. For $120.00, it's a good hold over and you overclock it to make it keep up with an e7600. Cache and FSB will keep you from breaking into 8400 territory.

Awsome!!
Pros: - Runs cool - Fast
Cons: - Would like to see it a bit cheaper - 3mb L2 cache is somewhat low
Other Thoughts: Still good for the price, this thing runs chilly! 28c and 34c under full load w/the stock fan. Cant wait to start playing with the overclock.
I paired this with a BIOSTAR G31E-M7 LGA 775 here from newegg, and talk about a cheap, POWERFUL workstation / casual gaming machine!

Good processor
Pros: It works just like it should!
Cons: I don't love the "quick locks" on the factory supplied heatsink which was kind of fiddly and cheap. They took more pressure than I expected to lock and didn't seem to lock well initially. With a better heatsink I'd give it 5 dots.

performs very well paired with good motherbaord
Pros: The E7500 and a G4300 motherboard deliver surprising results running Windows Vista.
Cons: I dont like the stock fan mounting on LGA775. AMD's sockets are a lot more friendly to the builder and less prone dusting collecting in the fins
Other Thoughts: The E7500 is a good choice when every last dollar is being considered in a build.

Awesome CPU!!! easy OC
Pros: Runs cool, price is perfect, overclocked mine to 3.5ghz, temps only changed 3 degrees! I have an after market cpu fan but stock one is descent. Upgraded from a e6250 1.8 ghz dual core cpu I bought last year for almost $200
Cons: not really a con but out of the box it does not clock correctly. you have to change settings in bios to 266 with 11x multiplier
Other Thoughts: setup: gigabyte p45 775 atx mobo OCZ 700 watt psu OCZ 4gb 800 mhz ram EVGA 8800 gts antec 900 case

Cool runner
Pros: My wife likes warm a warm room even in the summer so this processor is made for that because it runs real cool and is fast to boot.
Cons: None

Worked great right out of the box
Pros: POSTed right off, FSB, clock speed, multiplier...all was perfect right out of the box. Ubuntu recognized the two cores and took off running. Idling/low load temp is around 43C right now, sometimes dropping and holding at 38. I figure once the Arctic Silver breaks in it'll idle consistantly at the lower number.
Cons: Haven't had it long enough to really push it and test it. Can't speak to that yet.
Other Thoughts: I removed the thermal pads on the stock heatsink and used arctic silver instead. Just a better product. Have had zero issues...it's a new build.

Best 1066 FSB CPU EVER!!!
Pros: Wicked fast in the 1066MHz FSB category!!! Runs Cool with the right heatsink and can multi-task the way I always dreamed a machine should. Can Encode video, defrag HDD and run AV scans all day long! HDD and Chipset are the new bottlenecks!
Cons: CPU Cooler is all aluminum, may be insufficient with heavy loads. That's not a criticism of the processor, just the packaging.
Other Thoughts: Running on an Intel Bad Axe2 (D975XBX2KR), Kingston 4 GB DDR2 800, MSI 4670-512MB GPU.
This replaced my trusty Pentium D 935. I re-used the Pentium's heatsink as it was the better copper core unit. Temps never exceed 55C even at full tilt.
Use this setup for Gaming (COD4&5), and video encoding. My particular board has a cap of 1066 MHz FSB so buying the E8xxx or Quad cores was not an option. Best bang for the Buck!!!

Beast Overclocker
Pros: Popped it into my Evga 780i worked right away. Then the fun started...eventually got it up to 4.1ghz @412fsb @1.38v running perfectly stable and cool w/ a TRUE cooling it. I have only run super pi so far as far as benchmarks go and got results in the low 14's.
Cons: Even w/ a TRUE and and voltage @1.09 the lowest the cores will go is 41C and 31 on the CPU. Must be some sort of bug but this is my first 45nm chip so i don't have much experience w/ them. This CPU is really cheap for what you get but the 8400 is a better value I just couldn't stomach the extra $20.
Other Thoughts: I really thought I'd be able to reach 4.5ghz stable w/ this CPU. With the 11x multiplier and since its a 45nm it seemed like it had a good shot of reaching this goal. But I had no such luck this chip wouldn't post above 4.2. Of course this is no reason to drop an egg and i wouldn't even call it a con since this cpu is made to run @ 2.93 and it does it extremely well
Great job to Intel and as always Newegg did great w/ lightning fast shipping.

Who needs i7 or Phenom?
Pros: fast and reliable, one of the best core2 duo's out there with 2.93GHz. It keeps up with the i7 and phenom if not overclocked, I have tried overclocking my CPU yet because I have no use to it runs fast enough.
Cons: The only problem is the heatsink and fan that comes with it doesn't like to fit on the motherboard right, i'd suggest spending a little money on a nicer one, but it gets the job done.
Other Thoughts: It's worth the money.

Pros: cheap price but great speed runs fast and cool , came under clocked but bios change fixed that problem.
Cons: heat sink was junk broke the connectors off the heatsink while installing glad i bought an extra one that screws in rather than the cheap plastic pins.

Good processor
Pros: I have not overclocked this processor since it has great performance without doing so , Running Vista 64 bit without problems. reliable brand , you get what you pay for in processors and i didn't want to go quad core so got myself a dependable duo and this fit the bill.
Cons: performance stats in manual would be helpful but i guess thats what the net's for finding info.

Works
Pros: Works
Cons: The Heatsink doesn't come with a tube of thermal paste, there's just some pre-applied thermal paste looking stuff where you apply the heatsink to the processor. Seems like it would be less efficient although I'm unsure of that. Drawback would be if I wanted to take the processor out for some reason and needed to put it in again (I like to tinker with other computers, test out stuff, etc.) - I gotta get some thermal paste.
Other Thoughts: Processor Works, it's a stock heatsink, I've got no real complaints.

Get the E8400
Pros: Great Processor for a low price.
Cons: Price is nearing the E8400 that has double the cache.
Other Thoughts: For only a bit more, get the E8400. IMO, it is better than the e7400/e7500 and is only a bit more.

Best core 2 bang for ya buck
Pros: This thing pumps out the frame rates better than my quad core on half life 2 .. Dont make the same mistake i did buy thinking 4 cores are all the go as there is very little code written to use the quad chips 4 cores all at once A 3 Ghz chip for under a 140 bucks .. nice one new egg
Cons: Who in there right mind at intel designed the cpu cooler cos they must have been on d**gs to come out with something like this Dont get me wrong the fan and heatsink are pretty good .. but the rentention system ... PLEASE
Other Thoughts: Should have got 2

Amazing CPU
Pros: I remember when I saw E7200 for $130. Now, the E7500 I got it for $135 in a Combo deal. The processor is neck and neck with common applications with the E8400 Processor. (3GHZ, 6 MB Cache) Some benchmarks this processor tops the E8400. The reviews are scarce for this CPU but I found some Australian and foreign ones.
Note* The Processor Multiplier in default was 8.5 it is suppose to be 11. (11 x 266 = 2.93). So good luck!
This is great, I recommend it!
Cons: None, except the processor multiplier is 8.5 (maybe it's my motherboard)

Rock solid
Pros: Excellent product, compared to my old cpu. Starting / stopping applications is now lightning fast, without hang.
Cons: Installing heatsink made me a bit nervous. Also, amount of pre-applied thermal compound didn't look adequate to me. Does the job though.

So far so good.
Pros: Worked out of the box as it should. Factory heat sink seems to be doing a great job keeping CPU cool. Haven't tried to OC it yet.
Cons: Don't really like the way the factory cooler attaches to the MB.

Smoking fast!
Pros: No complaints. 3.5Ghz easy on my Gigabyte board. 38C idle. 58C full bore. Idle 164W. 192W full bore. It sucks juice!
Cons: None I can think of.

Fast!
Pros: Fast and cool chip. Have it running with the stock heatsink/fan plus A*5 paste @ 3.35GHz. It beats my old AMD Phenom 9950 in games when OC'd, and runs much cooler.
Cons: Needed to up voltage on the cpu by .05v to get OC speeds but I blame that on my OEM MSI-P6N Sli Ultra motherboard. It doesn't have the copper heat sink cooling on the NB like the retail version does.

Pros: Worked immediately on my P6N SLI-FI motherboard (after BIOS update) and has been running smoothly since. Faster than I thought it'd be. It absolutely destroys my P4 3.0ghz w/hyperthreading CPU.
Cons: None.

Works Great, Completely Satisfied.
Pros: Runs cool with stock heat sink and fan, great speed, and it runs my applications on Windows Vista 64 bit amazingly! I have not had one problem with anything on my computer and that is a first for me! I have fallen in love with Intel processors and this is more bang for the buck!
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: I've had this for about 3 months now. I upgraded pretty much everything in my computer (pretty much built a new computer...) from a 3 year old single core AMD Athlon 64 to this baby. I didn't want to go quad core, as I can always upgrade later once the quad core is fully utilized. The only thing is, make sure your motherboard is not set to underclock the CPU. When I first started it up, it was clocked at 2.23 GHz if I remember correctly, and I had to change it to 2.93 in the BIOS settings. Other than that, easy to install!

Excellent Dual-Core
Pros: The processor is responsive and stable! Installed it on an Intel S975XBX2 workstation mobo. Super "Bang for the Buck". Runs very smooth with 8 gigs of Kingston RAM and XP Pro x64 SP1. Air Cooling is easy on this 45nm CPU. I have a Xigmatek S1283 running at a quiet low rpm (about 1000rpm), and have never had to turn up the fan at full "folding stress".
Cons: No problems (100% satisfied!)
Other Thoughts: This CPU confirms that the "dual-core" processor can still perform well with most programs. I'm totally pleased with it's performance in multimedia, games and folding. It saved my budget, since I did not have to purchase the expensive Core-2-Extreme brand! It's a great value and plus to any arsenal.

Works l,ike it should
Pros: Fired up immediately, recognized by my board with no issues.
Cons: No coms.
Other Thoughts: Make sure your motherboard can support these 45nm CPUs! Most will with a BIOS upgrade. Update your BIOS before you put in the new CPU.

Great CPU. Easy O/C
Pros: Great CPU. O/C on stock voltage and cooling to 3.4 and runs cool at 41C.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: If using an older 775 board, make sure you get the latest BIOS update to run the new 45nm CPUs.

Loving it
Pros: Very fast processor for the price. I would not hesitate to recommend CPU to anyone.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I had nothing but spinning fans when I first powered it up and that was it. It turns out that I had to flash my motherboard to the newest BIOS. It has been running perfectly since. I guess just make sure you have the newest BIOS before replacing your CPU with this one.

DOA
Pros: I was very happy with the price if it had worked the power I'd have had I wouldn't need to upgrade again for at least another 2 years O-well.
Cons: I'm no Pro but I'd say I know enough about hardware that if I put a knew CPU in my computer and I get nothing only fans turning on and that's it then that's not good. I thought at first I'd ruined my Motherboard as well but I switched back to my original CPU and everything is fine. So I for see and RMA in my futore. I will not get another.
Other Thoughts: If you don't know a lot about Computers and you try to upgrade your Processor. Be ready to have to pay for someout side help. your Motherboard orother such might need some up grades as well for it to work.
