great server CPU
Pros: This is a very nice server CPU for the price. Dual cores, hyperthreading, and a large cache. No problems at all running Linux on a 1U machine with 2 of these babies.
Cons: none

So far so good
Pros: Processors are recognized. Because of hyperthreading my motherboard thinks this processor has 4 cores. I have 2 of these in a rig, and no problems yet, but really havent had a ton of time to test it.
Cons: I didn't see anywhere that the heatsyncs had to screw directly into the case. Ended up bolting them to the motherboard, it was quite a project. Stock heatsyncs are quite loud too, and I don't see any alternatives.
Other Thoughts: Fast from what I've seen, but I'm going to get some heavy scripts running on it next week. These are a great price, but be sure to get a motherboard that supports the newer xeons so you can always upgrade in the future.

What a price!
Pros: Dual Core, Dual Processor, One Fifty per CPU?? This is a vastly superior CPU to anything Intel had previously. It is lower power and higher performing, what a combo. Cheaper than anything AMD has.
Cons: Not a Woodcrest, but less expensive. My next workstation will have dual 5130's in it. That seems to be the best bang for the buck.
Other Thoughts: I've had this product for about 2 weeks and it really is incredible. Even the big copper heatsink/fan combo is quiet.
