Great little quad
Pros: runs great. i had a G0 stepping, the one to get people. at stock it runs perfect, but who runs stock? had it ups to 3.52ghz, with DFI blood Iron and generic memory.
Cons: price, in most cases as much as its big brother, the x3220. however, i've seen many people not be able to hit the clocks i did with the 2.4 variant.
Other Thoughts: great cpu, runs cool at stock, and if you have the G0, you have yourself and excellent OCer.

Great LGA775 CPU
Pros: I got this as an alternative to Penryn when it came out. Runs stable 24/7 with Folding and various games at 3.2 GHz on stock voltage. And it did it at my old apartment---with no air conditioning.
Cons: Intel heatsink/fan is mediocre.
Other Thoughts: Great price/performance, and it runs 3.6 GHz with decent cooling and a very small voltage bump.

Killer Chip
Pros: Ahhhh 3.6Ghz with just a small voltage bump on a Asus P5K Premium. Nice, This is on air, I can squeeze a little more, but without a different cooling solution(water,Tec) I doubt I can do 4ghz stable. This is from 2.13Ghz stock
Cons: 8 multi, Q6600 is 9....
Other Thoughts: Still very pleased with X3210.

G0 Treasure
Pros: Xeon, quad core, G0 and Newegg.com.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: I have not dropped this CPU in a machine yet but I did get the G0 stepping. Ordered two days ago and received it today... thanks Newegg!

Great VMware performer
Pros: I used this CPU in conjunction with an ASUS P5M2/SAS motherboard for a lab/whitebox machine capable of running VMware ESX. I've had it running about 6 or 7 VMs concurrently even with one of them running some video transcoding operations in a VM on Vista(the pig) no less. It handles it like a champ. I don't feel anything while using the other VMs.
Cons: None really.

GREAT CPU
Pros: GREAT multithreading processor is your looking for cheap. And overclocks quite well on my DFI DK x38. have currently at 3.2ghz @ 1.2v with temps are 60c on a a ArticCooling Freezer 7 pro(got here for $28)and is stable as a rock with ram running at 960mhz on 2.2v Cpu worked with a problem and was pickup by motherboard immediately. And i got the GO stepping which i loved.
Cons: i need better cooling to overclock higher, and priced dropped ten bucks since i bought it. stupid supply and demand =P
Other Thoughts: If your looking for a cheap pretty good ocing cpu from intel thas a quad core. this is it. also ive had this thing at 3.6ghz but temps were breaking 70C and had the vcore at 1.4v which kind of scared me.

X3210
Pros: Higher TDP than the Q6600 (if you get a g0 stepping). SSE4 instructions. Flat IHS (had 2 non-flat E2140s). Low temps (low 30's idle).
Cons: None so far, haven't tried overclocking.
Other Thoughts: It seems that most if not all of these coming from newegg are b3 stepping. I wanted g0 stepping since I plan on overclocking. I ended up ordering elsewhere.

Great CPU for video encoding
Pros: Excellent chip for doing video encoding at a very reasonable price. Runs cool even at a full load.
Cons: I just don't like the Intel retail heatsink/fan. The open fan design is ideal for a lose cable binding up your fan and the little plastic retention clips are very difficult to release once you've got it installed into a case.

Amazning cpu and speed
Pros: My old celeron D took 30 minutes to encode video, this thing encoded the same video in under 5 minutes!, I bought from elsewhere to make sure I got the g0 stepping; using in a case with 2 120mm scythe fans, arctic cooling mx-7, and freezer 7 pro, gives me temps of 25c at idle, and 45c at 100% cpu utilization under prime95 test
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: using windows xp 32-bit, 4gigs of 800mhz memory, (3.5 shows under windows), overclocked it to 2.8ghz, 350x8; it would be nice if there were some cheap dual socket motherboards, since current ones are too expensive;

Great Value and Performance
Pros: Rock solid processor. Overclocked to 3.0 Ghz with no problems, on stock cooling. X8 multiplier not as much of an issue as you would think. 100c Tjunction with the G0 stepping. With 375x8 FSB my temps don't touch 65c under full load on all cores. Great processor for the price.
Cons: Stock cooling from intel could be better...but does it's job. "Xeon inside" sticker is just not as satisfying as "Core 2 Extreme inside"
Other Thoughts: Way low VID on my specific processor... can turn down volts way low and retain stability with 3.0 Ghz OC. Runs cool with G0. Eats Crysis for breakfast. Encodes Video like a champ. Great processor. Cheapest quad around, unbeleivible value.

Good CPU, thermal compound included is too much
Pros: CPU works great and handles virtualization very well. I've been running several virtualized servers with nice results.
Cons: After installing the heatsink and turning on computer, cpu was overheating and shutting off computer. I called Intel tech support and they said their heatsinks usually ship with too much thermal compound and that I had to scrape it off and go buy some more to put on. After that it worked fine, but I should have been reimbursed.
Other Thoughts: 4 Stars only because of the thermal compound issue, otherwise would have given 5 stars. It's a great CPU, whether you're overclocking or not.

Update
Pros: Overclocks well. It's stable most all settings I try, the only limit is my RAM,
Cons: Was running a bit warm.
Other Thoughts: I noticed that it would get a little on the warm side, just as a hunch I took the heat-sink off and there wasn't much thermal paste/grease. I scraped it off dolloped some Arctic Silver on the CPU, stuck the OEM sink back on and now it's running about 45C under full load instead of 55-65C.

Oh Geeeezus!
Pros: It's working.
Cons: Almost cooked it.
Other Thoughts: I was replacing an old P865/Celeron 2.4GHz With this CPU and a Gigabyte P35 . . . didn't take into account the old drivers might create problems . . . it got reeeeaaal hot . . . (dumb) Reinstalled Windows and MoBo drivers now there are no problems. Be careful . . . going to load BOINC and run Seti@Home then I'll really see how good this CPU is.

Unreal better than Q6600
Pros: this chip boots and is 24/7 stable at 3.0ghz using only 1.080v. Thats just plain unreal.
Cons: Zero except 8x multipler but makes up for it in quality.
Other Thoughts: These are better binned chips than the Q6600 series chips, run on lower voltage and will hit near a 500mghz FSB (Q6600 only 450) These chips can take 14c more heat than Q6600 series chip ,Q6600 71c Xeon 3210 85c

Excellent CPU
Pros: Excellent CPU
Runs anything without sweating including F@H SMP + heavy CS:S simultaneously.
Mine is clocked at 8x400 for 3.2GHz 24/7.
Encoding: fast Games: fast Everything else: you get the point
Best price/performance processor out there right now unless you want a quad clocked to the moon.
Cons: Lacks the 9x multiplier of the Q6600/X3210.
One of my cores runs 8C warmer than the other three consistently. :(
Other Thoughts: If you absolutely have to have a quad and don't want to pay the extra $20 for 9x multiplier, then this is the chip to get.
I did by my chip elsewhere to guarantee a G0 stepping. It's on a DFI board cooled under an Ultima 90 and Ceramique. I should be able to get the temps down a few degrees.
100% load temps w/ 21C ambient: 54:45:49:46

Nice processor!!!
Pros: Runs everthing - multitasking!! cant slow it down for my needs. Running it 24/7 for folding at home.
Cons: Couldn't get GO stepping here.
Other Thoughts: I have it on a biostat TF7150u-m7 and like another poster, it wasn't listed as a supported processor. Wouldn't work on my P5b-plus. See my review for that board.

Quadriffic!
Pros: The cheapest quad -core you can get. This thing screams... I just replaced a pentium-D 805 with this chip and there is no comparison.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I wasn't sure that this would work in my ABIT AB9-pro, because it isn't a server mobo, but it said that it supported the kentsfield core. I'm glad I took the chance and couldn't be happier

Pros: Outstanding entry level quad core CPU. Set affinity manually to intensive tasks to get bang for your buck!
Cons: B3; have to set affinity in task manager to get best use of (most apps) all the cores.
Other Thoughts: Using this proc to host a 1U server with 4 virtual machines; uses just under 25% CPU utilization.

Blew me away
Pros: Low heat for the performance, *very* overclock friendly. Very fast out of the box, excellent value for money. Mine wasn't concave like most Intel Core chips - too late though, I noticed this during lapping! Sweet Xeon sticker included which drives the women crazy. Insanely good at multitasking.
Cons: Price is not low - even if it is very fair for what you get. 8x multi may not be ideal for max overclocking with cheap RAM/mobo.
Other Thoughts: My G0 @3.2Ghz (8x401) is 25+ hrs Prime95 (x4) small-fft stable at 1.200 volts (VID is 1.2125!). I couldn't believe it. This does require some decent cooling, though any of the top air coolers are up to it. My temps got into the low 70's, but my cooler is only so-so. Even at 3.2, my whole system is drawing under 200 Watts *at the plug* including my 22" LCD. Don't be afraid to use a small high-quality PSU on this! P5B-Dlx, Corsair 550vx(overkill, bigtime), PNY 6800, Patriot PC2-6400 extreme performance.

Fantastic CPU
Pros: Low heat(~22-28C at stock speeds), even though I got B3.
Cons: None, really. The temp is a bit high after 3ghz, but that can be corrected with a better cooling solution.
Other Thoughts: This is an overclocking BEAST!

Pros: Extremly fast, I can run pretty much anything I want and not have it lag.
Cons: B3
Other Thoughts: Got a B3, don't really care. Currently it is at 3.0ghz on stock voltage with temps ~54C underload, air cooling. Might lap it after I've had it longer to bring temps down some. I also snagged it before newegg raised the price ~30$

G0!..from somewhere else
Pros: G0 is awesome. 3.6GHz 24/7 (450x8). Got up to 3.8GHZ (480 FSB), but hit a FSB wall.
Cons: NewEgg doesn't guarantee G0.
Other Thoughts: It takes some volts to get to 3.6GHz Prime95 (quad) stable for 8+hrs. I did it w/ the P5K Premium, TR U-120-X, and 1.5125v BIOS (1.488v CPU-Z Beta). Temps are 71-71-67-67 under full load. Mine has a High VID (1.325v), but takes the voltage well, and doesn't get too hot doing it. You should be able to run these up to 75-80* under full load w/o problems.
Get this from one of the two distributors guaranteeing the G0 stepping. Same price.

Decent Quad
Pros: It's a good cheap quad. I guess you can say "you get what you paid for". It's future-proof for the time being.
Cons: A B3 version. =(
Other Thoughts: It'll rox your sox

Great Overclocker!
Pros: This is currently the best and least known bang for your buck quad core processor out there. I easily pushed this processor to 2.88ghz 360x8 I needed just the slightest nudge on the Vcore from 1.225 -> 1.26
This thing idles around 36c with a GeminII cooler, and under load it doesn't go over 52c. I think I could easily push this too 420x8 with just a small step up in Vcore.
Cons: Had to lap the the CPU die, it was slightly concave. Not enough to warrant an egg off though.
Other Thoughts: I received a B3 as well. No big deal though, a few celcius never scared me.
This processor absolutely flys. Rarely do I see slow downs.
Between, if your temp readouts are way to high try another program! That is what stupid below me should have done.

Bad one
Pros: None
Cons: I'm test on the 3rd motherboard & its sluggest on all. Reboots on its own no matter the board or other hardware. First test was on the AB9 QuadGT, next I tried on a IP35 Pro & now in a AW9D. Got a defected CPU. I will be returning it for replacement or refund. Ran with 2 differ coolers. One was a Thermaltake CL-P0114 120mm CPU Cooler & it runs 50c+ at idle & is 50c as soon as it hits windows with Arctic Silver 5 & a Thermaltake CL-P0114 120mm CPU Cooler. Stock vcore set was VID:1.225v. I'd hate to see the temps it would run with the stock cooler.
Other Thoughts: Came from the Memphis,TN Warehouse B3

Great Quad Core
Pros: Excellent processor. Xeon quality. Great Alternative to Q6600. Most Affordable Quad. Futureproof you self with this CPU. Stock cooler working well. No OC yet but running at 32c standard and 38c under load. FAST.
Cons: Got a B3 stepping not a G0 but not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Great CPU - Great Price.

b3 stepping :(
Pros: Quadcore, worked out of box with no need to update bios, fast.
Cons: Idles in 50s on stock heatsink, voltage, and speed with two case fans, can't play source games without going over the rated 62c, needs a better heatsink then the one it comes with even if you don't plan on overclocking...
Other Thoughts: don't think you're going to get a g0 even if newegg does oos and then comes back in stock, there are no guarantees.

Stepping G0
Pros: G0 Stepping, less heat than B3. Cheaper than Q6600 right now. Currently running 400x8=3.2Ghz with 1.35vcore. Booted with 450x8=3.6Ghz with 1.43vcore, temp is a bit hot for Tuniq Tower, but its not that bad
Cons: None

unbelievable?
Pros: G0 has the specs to be the "golden chip"
Cons: No one can seem to find a G0.
Other Thoughts: Both myself and my friend have ordered. I ordered from the 1st batch which sprung up a few days after the G0's release date of 7/22, and got a B3 (pack date: 7/10/07). My friend ordered from the 2nd batch (came in stock on 8/7)and got a B3 (pack date: 5/7/07). I'm very skeptical of the below post "unbelievable". The x3210 doesn't have a 9x multiplier for one, and I've yet to hear a report of anyone having received a G0 x3210.

Pros: X3210 has a multipler max at 8. Sounds like someone got lucky with a unlocked multipler.
Cons: no cons here...quad core for $260! unless you want a quad to OC higher, get a Q6600 for better chances of landing a G0.

unbelievable
Pros: hands down best bang for your buck quad-core! this G0 X3210 is unbelievable in terms of overclocking potential. I currently have this running at 3.5ghz stable (9x385) with a P35 board and TR U-120 extreme hsf, and load temps are around 61C
Cons: I honestly can't think of one, besides for the fact that newegg doesn't guarantee stepping; signs are looking good though that some G0 stepping processors are shipping out.
Other Thoughts: I ordered this from newegg when it was first available, and it turned out to be a G0! It might just be the luck of the draw, but you can't go wrong with this cpu. I'm in the process of selling my G0 Q6600 now, considering how this baby performs. A prior B3 X3210 could only run at 3.1ghz, so this G0 X3210 really surprised me

great cpu
Pros: Less expensive, will overclock well. works on desktop mobo.
Cons: lower stock speed
Other Thoughts: I have this cpu on my asus p5b-e mobo running at 2.8G on 1.35 vcore. it will run stable at 3.2G on 1.5 vcore. you will need good cooling to keep temps down at these settings. even at stock speeds, you have a quad core cpu for a few dollars more than a decent dual core.

G0?
Pros: If it's G0 it could be a gem. If it's B3 it is still the best bang-for-the buck w/ quad-cores.
Cons: I don't know if these are G0s or not.
Other Thoughts: If anyone buys one please report if it is the newer G0 stepping or the older B3 stepping?
