Works great with the BIOSTAR A785GE
Pros: Works great with the BIOSTAR A785GE AM2+/AM3 AMD 785G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard Newegg Item#:N82E16813138156
Low profile.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Have run numerous passes of Memtest86+ (version 4.00) without errors. This version of Memtest86+ detects it as 5-5-5-18 (older versions of Memtest86+ report the wrong values).

rock solid, no problems
Pros: It works great.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I got this going on the logic that since I don't have spare parts lying around, I should make sure that I get the most reliable components possible so that I don't get stuck having to buy additional parts to try to troubleshoot problems. This RAM fit the bill nicely, and I've had zero problems.

Good value for your money...
Pros: Brand with high reputation and good value. Rock solid performance. Newegg has it! Hard to find this exact model/pack elsewhere if you're looking to match RAM for Dual-channel etc.
Cons: System may need a BIOS update to work with this RAM.
Other Thoughts: Memtest gave a lot of errors on adding this RAM to my system (previously had 2 sticks of this type, now another two for 4GB total). Turned out there was a BIOS update for my board (Asus P5K) that fixed the issue. Check that before you consider the memory bad.

One stick went bad :(
Pros: It's ram.
Cons: One day comp would start up. Wouldn't post. Removed one stick of ram, booted up fine. Mailed stick back, waiting on Kingston. We shall see what happens. Am told they are good about this stuff. No biggie. Running on 3 gigs right now for win7. 1 more gig isn't gonna make or break me.

short but ok
Pros: This kit works fine with older full height modules.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Added to 2yr old 2x1G of the full height modules on an Intel DG965WH mobo in prepartion for Win 7, 64bit. 4G should be enough for how my wife uses her PC and the applications she runs.

Works, low-profile
Pros: Works.
Cons: I guess there's slightly faster DDR800 out there, not that there's anything wrong with this.
Other Thoughts: I bought this because I read it's low-profile. And it is, indeed. Here's what I didn't see in the specs and got with my ruler: these DIMMs are 17 mm (just under 3/4 inch) tall. Handy for those mini-itx projects in cramped cases.

1st time
Pros: Very well made, compact ram. I too have DG965WH board, this board, can only use 1.8 volt ram. No problem with install, believe I'll get the 512x2 or another 2 gig. Price is reasonable.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I had been using Crucial,2x1 gig and 2x512, 667meg. I may try 2x512 800meg or go with 2x1 gig of the 800. Either way I like the speed boost. Newegg is the only place I've been able to find 512 800meg ram, one of several reasons I'm drifting away from TD. Thank You.

Kingston Memory forever
Pros: Excellent support and warranty!
Cons: None whatsoever!
Other Thoughts: I had similar rams running at the speed of 667(2-3 years old)but the new motherboard would not recognize them; therefore, I decided to test their life time warranty by sending them to Kingston for replacement. After a week, these RAMS arrived. To my surprise, not only they are brand new but also 800(the same product as described in the spec.) . I really appreciate what Kingston did to me under their warranty. Last but not least, the person who issued the RMA was very professional, courteous and has very good telephone manner. I will now buy rams only from Kingston! I seldom give out 5 eggs in any products that I like, but this time I must!

2 to 4 gb in the computer
Pros: Just plugged those puppies in and booted the machine and away we went. Excellent memory and very inexpensive 800 mHz RAM. Kingston - the only way to fly!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Configuration is INTEL DP35DP mobo; E8400 cpu; ASUS/NVIDIA 8600 video board, sata 500 gb Caviar HDD and EIDE DVD/CD writer in Antec 300 case.

Good Ram

Not Compadiable
Pros: Price
Cons: Not Compadiable with my computer. My computer takes exactly this kind of memory (PC2 6400 240 pin 800mhz) and the size is too small to fit. Nice try kingston for scamming me. Time to wait and pay for shipping again.

Great memory
Pros: Purchased this memory for a low budget media server machine for home theater set up. I used Kingston in the past, i prefer Corsair, but Kingston has always been a 2nd choice. Low cost and decent quality. Never have needed to RMA kingston memory nor have i had any issues with it.
Cons: Not Corsair
Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong with Kingston.

ValueRAM Review
Pros: The Ram works, does what it is supposed to do which is great. I really love the fact that these sticks are half the width of anything I have used previously. With my Micro ATX system I am building saving that kind of space is a great perk.
Cons: None to date.

works well
Pros: I have been using this RAM in several of our office machines that I have upgraded in the past month. I have yet to have a failure of any kind.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: The last time I ordered this, it actually was the wrong RAM for the machine I was upgrading. Totally my fault, and on top of everything else, I opened the retail package before I discovered my mistake. Newegg credited me back for the RAM anyway! Not only should you buy this RAM, but you should buy it from Newegg -- they ROCK!

great buy
Pros: Reliable, inexpensive, and gets the job done.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: The first time I attempted to 'build' a computer (rather than buy one from Dell, HP, etc.) I used these Kingston sticks. Now it's a year and a half later and I've been looking to upgrade. I could have spent a lot of money on buying more advanced memory, but instead I ordered another 2 sticks to upgrade up to 4 GB. Maybe I'll get something a little more powerful in the future, but right now it's not really necessary. Great buy.

Kingston Scores.
Pros: I put this memory in an Acer T180. Works without a glitch. If only everything worked so well once you got it home. Thanks Kingston.
Cons: They're just your standard looking RAM, but they do the job just as well as the fancy looking ones, for less money.

cheap stable ram
Pros: cheap, 2gb pc 6400, worked first try no problems
Cons: not for overclocking(lol)
Other Thoughts: perfect if your building a cheap base gaming computer and planning to upgrade along the way, would recommend buying 2x2gb instead if you have a 64bit os

Very Pleased
Pros: Very good Ram. Installed in my computer (Athlon 64 X2 Dell), now running in dual channel mode with 4 gigs, under vista 32bit. Vista recognizes all of it, and allocates roughly 1 gig to video, the rest to the system. Works really well, no problems whatsoever, has dramatically increased the performance of the games I play.
Cons: None that I can find.
Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped this really fast, as usual. Another happy customer!

Works, Inexpensive.
Pros: Kingston Brand. Good price for name brand, reliable memory.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Installed this memory in a Dell Precision T3400. Worked fine and bios picked it up at 800MHz. These are super low profile chips. They only have a 3/4" tall profile. Instead of having a groove on the side that the MB clip lock into, the MB clip locks on the top of chip. Not really a pro or con simply FYI.

Repeat customer
Pros: I bought my first pair of these 2 years ago for a Socket AM2 machine. At the time this memory was the only one on the qualified vendor list for my mobo rated for DDR800 and able to populate all 4 sockets. (in case I wanted to upgrade later....)
Well here I am, I wanted to upgrade. Glad this part number is still around. Running 4 sticks in an M2N-SLI board.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: The sticks I got were actually half-height compared to the standard height of RAM. Still, all 4 coexist peacefully. If that isn't a fluke, then these would be great for a small HTPC.

U get what U pay for
Pros: chips work, but not up to what they should be.
Cons: I was not happy with the clock speeds of this mem. I went from 333 to 351 MHZ x2. So this mem is not up to snuff as it says it is. I am only getting 702 mhz when I purchaced 800MHZ.
Other Thoughts: If Your going to list the mem. at 1.8 volts and get 800mhz than that is what the purchaser should get. I would not ever consider uping the voltage. These chips are small and no cooling ability and the chips are to small for mombo coolers. So if you only want 700MHZ these chips are 4 U.

good value. consistent performance.
Pros: good performance for the price, with no hassles. have had no problems.
Cons: none apparent.
Other Thoughts: I have been using Kingston ValueRAM for 5 or 6 years in various configurations/builds without any problems whatsoever. I have come to the conclusion just to buy this brand/product consistently...see no reason to look for something else.

Excellent RAM
Pros: Good solid RAM. I bought this memory for a new build using an Intel DG35EC motherboard, and no problems. ValueRAM ... aptly name - excellent memory at a very good price.
Cons: None

Its Kingston.
Pros: I have used Kingston RAM for years (along with some others), but have never had a problem with them. Kingston ValueRAM = cheap price, and dependable RAM. I am sure DOAs happen, but never to me (at least with Kingston).
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I use Corsair in high performance solutions, but I am aware that Kingston offers lower latency lines too. However, I have never had an issue with ValueRAM at all. Don't worry, just order it.

Great so far
Pros: Runs perfectly stable, no issues. Absurdly low price.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I don't ask very much of it; no overclocking, my system isn't that aggressive, so I don't know if it can take serious punishment. But for dirt cheap RAM, I really can't see how you'd beat it.

No Complaints...
Pros: Worked straight out of the box. Did not have to change anything upgrading from a pair of Crucial DDR2 533. Inexpensive, Name Brand, Free Shipping!
Cons: None

2nd time's a charm
Pros: - Name brand - good price - 2 GB
Cons: After installing memory, the computer blue screened every time. Old memory worked fine. Re-seating memory stick, still showed failures. After running Dell memory test (boot from debug partition of the HD) memory stress test failed every time. After 1 week of RMA and my cost of shipping, replaced memory works as expected. All memory testing passed.
Other Thoughts: Disappointing to have Kingston memory fail out of the box! Where is the QA?

Pros: Boy what a VALUE...Kingston has always been the best IMO and the most reliable memory on the market for me. .... these babies will do 1066 @ 800Mhz timings all day long without ANY hiccups and remain barely warm to the touch WITHOUT RAMSINKS. Newegg shipping is da bomb, and CS is top notch
Cons: It wont do my laundry for me. DIDnt include ramsinks.

Eggcellent!
Pros: It's Kingston RAM at a Very Good Price! Kingston RAM is The Most Compatible RAM & Most reliable RAM I have ever used.
Cons: If you're in a hurry, pay the extra for it. Eggsaver will take up to 7 "Business Days".
Other Thoughts: To anyone here that buys THIS RAM. Check your motherboard manufacturer for will it support DDR2 800Mhz. RAM. One poster said this RAM only ran at 667 Mhz. That is probably due to that is the top speed that Board will support. And Kingston is very good at backward compatibility. Kingston RAM @ 800 Mhz. WILL run at 667 Mhz. Either because you've paired it with another stick of 667Mhz RAM, OR your board doesn't support DDR2 800Mhz. Check your specs before you buy! You can't go wrong with Kingston!

Got a bad one
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Got these for a home server machine I was building. WHS failed on install a couple times. I ran memtest86 v3.4a and it reported many errors on one stick. I pulled it and everything went fine after that but I had to pull the second to send back the kit. I had to pick up a cheap stick locally to keep the machine running while waiting for the replacement.
Other Thoughts: Guess I just got "lucky". From the reviews most people don't seem to have problems.

Good boost
Pros: This was a great upgrade for my mother's older Dell PC. While replacing the Hard drive, I told her we might as well upgrade the memory since she only had 512 MB. She only uses the PC for email and web browsing so she didnt need gaming memory or anything special. She works for the US government and says they all recommend Kingston in their pcs so thats what we went with. Worked out of the box. Great improvement in response and boot times.
Cons: None for this application

Terrible
Pros: Doubles my memory, but at what cost?
Cons: It crashes my programs and causes windows to not shut down properly. Memory addressing errors. Have to run check disk to repair windows errors, but damaged hardware cannot be repaired. Took 25 days to get here.
Other Thoughts: Newegg is taking too long to respond to my e-mails. I ordered this long before thanksgiving, and I still don't have a working product.

Pros: Got my Abit AN-M2 running stable with Debian Lenny 2.6.26
Cons: My stupidity for not paying attention to the voltage rating of the original sticks I had in the AN-M2 (2.1v)
Other Thoughts: M$ operating systems are overpriced bloatware.

Perfect Memory
Pros: Solved my spontaneous crashing from some Crucial Ballistix memory I had. Very compact memory, half the height of what I'm used to. Yeah this memory fixed my computer!
Cons: Wish it had lower latency but that was what got me into trouble with the Ballistix, not really a con.
Other Thoughts: Interestingly cannot detect any slowdown going from CAS-3 DDR2667 to CAS-5 DDR2-800? This memory is all you could ask for.

Pros: Low Price. Quality RAM. High Compatibility
Cons: None, really.... See other thoughts.
Other Thoughts: I have built 7 system using these RAM sticks. And have had no problems, except one.
One board, IIRC was an AsRock board, detected these as 533's, so I had to set everything manually to get it going at the correct speeds. It didn't cause any problems per se, just thought I should mention it.
At this cost, you can't beat this RAM.

3 out of 4 worked
Pros: Cheap. The 3 that still work, work great. This was the best RAM available for the MSI AMD motherboard I bought...the RAM runs at 1.9 volts which is the maximum voltage for the motherboard.
Cons: 1 stick died after about 3 months. Probably just a fluke, but I bought these at such a discount it wasn't worth RMA'ing. I now run Vista 64-bit Ultimate using 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB as I originally intended. I really haven't noticed much of a drop off in speed either. But as everyone knows, when running Vista, the more RAM you have, the more Vista uses.
Other Thoughts: I would have given this a 4 or 5 star rating if it weren't for the fact that 1 of the 4 RAM chips died.

NOT PC2-6400
Pros: Somewhat compatible with Dell and work.
Cons: I upgraded this with old 2G PC2-6400 RAM, think this one is ok for addition 2G and it should be PC2-6400 per description. It is only run at 667MHz in DELL, I got my old RAM running at 800 and this one is slower. According to Kingston Tech. support, it is Value RAM, yes Value could mean not make per spec - in my opinion. However, it could be the BIOS or somewhere not match up to 800MHz.
Other Thoughts: I guess Kingston should be honor their product specification, but it seems that there is some deviation.

Vista gives it the highest rating
Pros: Already had 2GHz of this RAM but added 2 more before I went to Vista. The latest purchase is about half as "tall" as the ones I bought in September. Great price. Vista's Performance rating gives this RAM a 5.9, the highest possible.
Cons: At this price I wish I had two more slots on my Asus P5K Pro motherboard.
Other Thoughts: None.

Kingston Value Ram
Pros: Price, Speed
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Bought 4 sticks total to replace 4 sticks of mixed memory in my D?ll 530(3G total). Vista SP1(System information) shows all 4G, but the Vista RAM score stays at 5.5. Total physical memory shows at 3.25G which is the most you can get unless you want to screw up your system(under Vista). I got a 3% performance increase in Prime 95 and Memtest ran all night and a lot of yesterday with no problems. I am ready for a 64 bit OS.

Kingston 2x 1gb value ram
Pros: It works! Not really built for overclocking. It is built to be reliable.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: If you are a first time builder and are not sure which ddr800 ram will work in your motherboard, this stuff will work.
Kingston is always what I buy when I have no idea whether it will be compatible or not. Five builds thus far and it has never let me down.

They're short.
Pros: Kingston quality. Price.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Neweggs pics don't show it but these sticks are only about 17mm high so it should help with RAM /CPU heat sink interference issues if you have any. Should also help with airflow through the case. I have these running at 428 MHz with stock timings and voltage with no problems whatsoever.

Pros: It's been working flawlessly for a few weeks now. I let Memtest x86 run for about 15min and it gave no complaints.

Halloween Baby!
Pros: Kingston Value RAM, what can I say, Good Stuff. It's all I've ever purchased. 1. Because it has always worked for me. 2. Has a good name and reputation. 3. Like the name, "Value RAM", it's a good buy for the money. Excellent service from New Egg as usual. I buy from New Egg almost always. They can't be beat in my opinion (most of the time!).
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Purchased this memory for an ASUS P4P- 800MX with an Intel 2.4GHz. 800MHz.

cute, half height sticks
Pros: they are half the height of regular 240 pins sticks, but fit fine.
I plugged them in, they worked, no problems
Cons: I thought I was shipped the wrong memory due to the height difference, but that was my fault. They were correct, just smaller height wise.
Other Thoughts: Using them in a MSI G31M3-F mobo, e8500 cpu, 2gb Kingston ram KVR800D2N5K2/2G, 2 DVD drives, HEC 585w psu, XP, yadda yadda yadda.

never a problem
Pros: affordable, fast and compatible.
Cons: zip
Other Thoughts: I've been buying Kingston Value Ram since I received 512mb free with an Intel processor I bought 8 years ago. I figured, if Intel packaged it with a processor, it couldn't be so bad.
I've never considered another brand (just browsed for price comparisons). I've never have had an issue with Kingston memory on a desktop system.

RAM JAM-!
Pros: Love it love it looove it.... !! I went from 2G of another brand same specs (starts with an A) to 2G of this, and there is no question the computer is faster. Dont know if its the chip architecture or what, but the computer boots faster, an definitely runs faster and smoother overall.
Cons: None at this time - these run great!!!
Other Thoughts: I also got the half-height jobs, I like the idea -- you can see what theyve done - if you compare to the older size, theyve taken advantage of the smaller chips and moved the chips down and shortened the card. This has two advantages, more room for giant cpu coolers and less material cost in manufacturing the boards. this makes sense as both the customer and the company benefit -- smart engineering.

Great Value
Pros: Great value and excellent quality.
Cons: Limited instructions could make it difficult for a novice to install and understand what memory banks to install it to if adding more ram to an existing system.
Other Thoughts: I have always used Kingston ram for the price:quality ratio. After running memtest 2x on the ram already and having no errors come up I can see my trust in Kingston memory is still well placed. Was a little odd to see the height of the ram card though, it was only about half the height of the ram already in my computer and all the ram I have used before, Still works great though.

PERFECT MEMORY FOR ASUS P5BW-LA
Pros: Perfect memory for the Asus motherboard "P5BW-LA" found in HP Pavillion media center pc's like the a1640n which require 1.8 volt memory. This memory is cheap and works great , this pc will not be overclocked so memory without heat sinks will do fine . pc2-4200(533mhz) , (2gb's) is stock memory for this HP but the motherboard will support pc2-5300 and pc2-6400(800mhz) memory as well . The PCMARK05 memory score jumped from 4122 to 4332 while still using just 2gb's of memory , just the faster sticks .
Cons: None except not a good choice for an overclocked pc.
Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on heat sink add on kits that use sticky tape . If overclocking is your thing I would choose memory that comes stock with the heat sinks . I have been in electronics for many years and anybody knows that a heat sink must use thermal compound and be in direct contact with the device , any "sticky tape" between the two will just cause heat to build up .

Awesome RAM
Pros: Kingston is the brand I have used and trusted since my first PC. I have never had a problem with Kingston and have always had the most incredible performance from their products. This particular model joins the list of awesome RAM that flat out beats everything else as far as functionality, price, and endurance in its class.
Another interesting thing is how they're able to pack so much into such small chips. A few years ago, sticks of this memory size were hulking, and ran hot. The actual chips on these are way smaller, and are square instead of the older bulky and rectangular shapes. Less area getting hot means less area that needs to be kept cool.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: With RAM prices becoming so low, there is no reason at all not to just max out your board with these. I bought a set of these from Newegg, and a few months later bought another set from Newegg to fill out all my RAM slots, and I'm now running a full 4GB. With this much RAM, Vista runs flawlessly and I recommend Kingston for anyone interested in upgrading or building a system from scratch.

Works Great
Pros: installed 2 of these (4 GB) onto my GIGABYTE board running XP Pro 32-bit. No problems yet.
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: FYI: 32-bit OS's can't fully utilize 4GB of RAM since 2^32 = 4G, yet ~0.5-0.9GB of the addressing space is reserved for communication with other devices and memories. My machine recognized 3.25GB, but that's just fine by me. Upgrade to 64-bit OS if you need over 3GB.

dnstommy
Pros: I read all the reviews that were bad and too me it sounded a lot like people who didn't want to spend the time to figure this board. Yes, maybe you should have to, but sometimes you do. I downloaded the manual PDF like someone suggested here. Got the board loaded in an hour or so and took it for a ride. Runs fantastic. 18000 3DMark06. Great over clocking. Love EVGA.
Cons: none. Was suppose to come with a 1489 connector and it didnt.

If it's Kingston it's solid
Pros: What can I say, I installed it and boom it simply works like it's suppose to. I've never had bad Kingston memory, which I could say the same for other brands I've tried. It works, it works, it works. This was a 2 gig addition to an existing 2 gig (2 years old and runnig great) setup for a total of 4 gigs
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I added this for a total of 4 gigs and really don't see much increase in speed, but that has nothing to do with the memory, just that once you have more than 2 gigs on a system, you have to do some really high traffic work to notice I guess. Kind of diminishing returns after the first 2 gigs. My system is registering the full amount of ram which is great as I've heard many complaints about boards not seeing the full 2 gigs.

High Performance ValueRAM
Pros: This RAM is great.
I tightened the timings a bit to 4-4-4-8 1T @ 800 MHz
For those who care, 2 GB of this gets a 5.9 Vista rating.
Cons: It doesn't have any heatsinks, so don't be over eager with that vdimm.
Other Thoughts: ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe Non-WIFI, so no RAM cooling :( AMD Athlon x2 5000+ BE @ 3.2 GHz Radeon HD 4850 Corsair 750w PSU

Pros: Memory works flawlessly with an Intel DG33BU MB. No need to change any BIOS settings. Very simple Plug-n-Play.
Cons: Shipping cost??
Other Thoughts: I ordered over the weekend and item arrived on Monday. Excellent service and shipping as always.

Great RAM!
Pros: I have two of these 2 x 1GB kits (4GB total) in my Intel D975XBX2 motherboard and they work great.
I had a problem with one stick and Kingston customer support dealt with it immediately. Very classy company.
Cons: I've had this RAM for over 10 months and I have no cons to report.
Other Thoughts: I added after-market copper heatspreaders from Vantec, whch I purchased from newegg.

Great Value Ram
Pros: Quality memory Low Price for 2GB
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've used Kingston ValueRAM in several systems I've built lately and have had no problems. Generally Kingston also has some of the best prices too!

Works Well!
Pros: Worked out-of-the-box and on first start-up of a new system. I was too afraid to buy the high-performance RAM that was offered at cheaper prices, since some users reported that you had to play with CPU voltages to get that higher-performance RAM to work. This stuff has worked since I first turned on my latest system build. (No over-clocking for me.)
Cons: Minor. No neat-looking heat shields. (I couldn't find any value-priced RAM that I trusted that did have heat shields.)
Other Thoughts: This is mainstream, value-priced ram. It is not designed for over-clocking.

Replacing Crucial Ballistix 800Mhz.
Pros: Inexpencive at $51.98 (including shipping) for 2 GIG of KVR memory. Also bought a 1GIG KVR set for $27.19 to go with it.
Cons: None yet since its still in process for shipping. What is strange is this 2GIG set is shipped via UPS and my 1GIG set is shipped via USPS (Post Office). I wonder why?
Other Thoughts: I bought both this 2GIG set and a 1GIG set of Kingston Value Ram. This will replace the 2GIG of Curcial Ballistix I have installed in this computer right now. It seems that no matter how I configure the setting and voltage on the Ballistix, it seems to crash. I've had KVR memory in a different computer with a MSI board and never had any problems with it. This board is a Biostar A770 A2+ with an AMD Athlon 64 X@ 5400+ CPU. Hopefully this SHOULD stop the computer from crashing.
