Pros: Boots and runs 1066 with no without tweaks as it should on my GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L. Gotta love it.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I checked my mobo spec sheet for ram before I bought my ram.
Do yourself a favor and check before you order and save yourself some headaches.

Slightly Disappointed
Pros: Affordable ram, manufactured by Corsair... an industry leader in quality and performance.
Cons: For the first time ever, I was disappointed with Corsair memory. On 3 different motherboards, this set of ram was recognized as 800mhz instead of the 1066mhz it's advertised to be. I could overclock it to 1066mhz without problems, but I didn't feel I should have to do this just to get it to run at the advertised speed.
Other Thoughts: I have built and/or rebuilt hundreds of computers over the last 14 years, and for the last few years, I have almost exclusively used Corsair ram in my projects. While I still have the utmost faith in Corsair, this particular set of ram left me somewhat disappointed.

Review Update
Pros: It was detected at 1066 and worked perfectly...
Cons: ...for about 3 months.
Other Thoughts: In the 3rd month I started getting game crashes. I ran stress tests, trying to find the problem. It seemed all was cool and stable. But, something odd I noticed in CPUz was the RAM's SPD reporting a max of PC2-6400 (800), even though the timing table did show the 1066 option. So, I threw memtest86 at it. Virtually non-stop errors. I put the RAM down to PC2-6400 settings, and most the errors when away (I still got about 10 errors per pass). I can no longer recommend this RAM.

Best Out There
Pros: This is the best memory you can buy for the price! No questions asked. It works in every motherboard I have ever put it in. I bought this same set of memory 2 years ago (paid a lot more as well) and I had to buy another set to make 4 gigs for my new rig.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Corsair is the best memory company IMO.

Works great in a GA-P35-DS3L
Pros: Works great on my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L as expected - this memory is on the memory compatibility list for this mobo. No bios tweaking needed for the system to see them as DDR2/1066. Painless.
Cons: I'm not overclocking at all and they seem to get much warmer than I'd like. I upped the size of my cooling fans and installed a side fan blowing directly on them to cool them off.
Other Thoughts: I'll probably buy another set to put me up to 4GB.

THE BEST OF IT"S SPEC CLASS!
Pros: This is the best Ram of it's spec class DDR2 1066 2gb dual channel. Nothing in these spec class Ram can beat these Ram cards.
Cons: Shouldn't be unless you do something dumb or bad luck.
Other Thoughts: SO FAST it makes the inferiorities of the CPU and Motherboard stand out.

Great Memory
Pros: Great memory. Plenty of speed for OC'ing and the Latency is great even at stock. I was able to get mine to run at 4-4-4-12 instead of the 5-5-5-18 and at 1333FSB.
Cons: Its Corsair. They have none.
Other Thoughts: Great memory. Its basically the PC26400 modules that were ale to OC higher and have a hgiher voltage set. But they OC nice and run great in an Asus P35 mobo with a Q6600.

Great RAM
Pros: Shiny, Sleek, Looks great with my motherboard, fast(compared to my 2.5g DDR 5200), No Crashes!
Cons: Well this just may be a problem with my motherboard, but the RAM is rated at 1066 MHz, but its currently running at 533 MHz...
Other Thoughts: Good RAM to get, cheap, good lookin, and fast.

corsair xms
Pros: Its 1066 and its Corsair.
Cons: My mobo sees it as 800 so I had to manually set up the timings but this isn't the rams issue. wish it would have came with cooling fins or something. Also watch out for those confusing model nubers Model #:TWIN2X2048-8500C5.

Excellent RAM runs at 1066 no problem
Pros: Excellent ram for overclocking! Was running 4GB (2 X 2GB)of Gskill @ 800mhz. Had many crashes on my GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 main board. The Gskill had a compatibiltiy problem with this board. After removing 1 stick of the Gskill it quit crashing all the time, but I saw a reduction of FPS in world of warcraft of about 33% not running in duel memory mode(which is running in 1920 X 1200 resolution). Now with this RAM which I have running at 1066 mhz I have seen the fastest frame rates ever usually running over 120fps. I am very satisified with the performance I am getting out of this RAM and would recommend it to anyone, especially if your board is capable of running the RAM at 1066mhz.
Cons: None, buy it now. It is worth the money.

Surprised
Pros: Runs faster than rated speeds. Decent timings for DDR1066.
Cons: Not detected as SLI Ready, wouldn't run at 1066 even with 2.1v.
Other Thoughts: Had already requested an RMA only to find it ran stable at 1120 with just 1.85v. I would have been satisfied with this memory if I had discovered earlier.

Not so good
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: One set was DOA ( i tried it as first and second pair, also checked contacts carefully) The other when Gigabyte EX38 DS4 MB allowed to set parameters automatically with no overclock, was set on large latencies and slower speed by gigabyte EX38 MB and auto on 2.2 volts - however memory was not stable. I then set everything on manual to 5-5-5-15. The Various programs report that MB is running it at 1.85 Volts and is stable. The rest of system overclocked fine, but did not try to overclock memory as did not trust it.
Other Thoughts: Bought two sets of sticks (4 1 gb sticks altogether) One pair was dead on arrival, i mean dead like not even able to pass bios post or any warning beeps. Makes me doubt that the memory was ever tested let alone matched in pairs.

NOT EPP MEMORY!!
Pros: Memory runs as specified. Decent price.
Cons: This Memory Is Not EPP (Enhanced Performance Profile) According To Corsair Technical Support And It Is Not Listed As Such On Their Website. I Bought 4 Gigs Of This And Feel Like I Got Cheated. I Have No Hardware Problems With The Memory....It Runs Fine.... It Is Detected As Sli Ready...Just Not Totally Advertised Correctly....Look For Your Self!!! http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/TWIN2X2048-8500C5.pdf
Other Thoughts: Would Have Been Really Nice To Own SLI Ready / EPP Memory.

works great
Pros: runs well (oc'd to 1066 on gigabyte p35-ds3r.) performance seems well (not much of a super tweaker on timings, just wanted it to run at 1066.
Cons: 7 months later price is cut in half from when i bought it, but thats how things go
Other Thoughts: thinking about buying another one to get 4gb since its so cheap now. would recommend.

one year failure
Pros: Worked great...at first. Heat spreader seems to be a good idea, but might have design flaw
Cons: RAM should last longer in a non-tweaked machine than 14 months.
Other Thoughts: I have a Gigabyte GA-M59SLi-S5 MoBo, and checked their website before ordering this RAM. Supposedly RAM was tested and passed. When RAM was installed in my machine, it seemed to work beautifully, but after 14 months both sticks failed. It may be possible that the heat spreader doesn't allow sufficient airflow behind it, but I'm not certain of this. All I know is that I've had to toss 2Gb of memory in the trash. I'm currently awaiting 4Gb of Kingston RAM to see if that behaves any better.

Useless JUNK
Pros: The RAM has been hammered into pieces and thrown into the trash. It cost me $80+ worth of tuition at the "What-Not-To-Buy University" to learn Corsair's support is non-existent. A small price to pay, and IMO money well spent.
Cons: I was foolish enough to think Corsair's "Ram Guy" would or could know enough to provide assistance with the numerous problems I was experiencing. Single sentence responses to several detailed questions are unacceptable and USELESS.
Other Thoughts: I replaced some PC2 6400 Corsair RAM with this PC2 8500. My motherboard supports 1066 RAM and my new e6750 CPU. The RAM was junk, but it's not worth the time , effort, and turmoil to get bogged down in RMAs, emails, shipping, waiting, etc., to get the PC2 8500 RAM 'fixed'. Not only did I throw away the defective 1066 RAM, I also threw away the functioning 800 RAM after pulverizing it with the same hammer. No sense in risking the chance of another hapless individual falling victim to Corsair. I refuse to ever buy, recommend, OR use Corsair ANYTHING in the future. I have replaced the Corsair JUNK with OCZ PC2 8500 RAM, and it works perfectly (as advertised!!).

Pros: I got 4 gigs of this from newegg at $109 per 2GB.
Runs as good as the higher priced dominator.
Cons: Two weeks later its $84.00 per 2GB. I feel like i got taken.

Good Stuff
Pros: The memory is fast, darn fast. Great for overclocking. Cant beat 84 bucks for this stuff.
Cons: This memory is no sli compatible like it says. At least not for me, I bought 4 gigs worth. I am contacting corsair for false advertisement.
Other Thoughts: This stuff is so much better than the g-skill ram i had before. I had to change the timings manually on my crosshair. Other than that good memory!

Dissapointed
Pros: Works with ASUS P5N-D (750i-SLi) / E8400 .45nm Recognized as 1066.
Cons: Would not overclock new build any higher than 3.1 Ghz. ASUS Bios did not recogonize the "ADVERTISED" SLi Memory, and thats why I purchased it, along with ability to OC.
Other Thoughts: Total Bummer reading posts that have new Intel E8400's overclocked as high as 3.8 Ghz - 4.0 Ghz without issue.
I bought this RAM along with ASUS M/B and E8400 only to find out that my e6850 OC'ed out performs it.

Meh
Pros: Good on paper.
Cons: Worked great first month. Worked great second month. 3rd month started causing random Vista 32 errors and BSODS. 4th month, fried. Neither stick would post.
I really no longer believe 1066 IS really 1066 in ram OR motherboards. Mobos with 800mhz bios standard and ram that's 800mhz overclocked = cooked ram in no time and RAMs out the wazoo.
Other Thoughts: Don't believe what you read.

Pros: Half the price of the GEIL DDR400 I bought 2 years ago Crushes my old AMD x2 4200, 2gig ddr400 dual chn using fresh device testing. Almost 10x faster! Running at stock settings in a Asus P5k, booted first time without any MB setup.
Cons: None so far win xp 32bit :(

Slightly upset, 1 chip of the 2 chip set DOA
Pros: Fast memory
Cons: 2 chips of the 2 chip set bad. Was pretty upset because who gets new shrink wrapped memory enclosed in a package to have a DOA chip? Return policy will not allow me to ship the faulty chip back and have it replaced, so I had to purchase a set of the same memory so I can use my new rig in the meantime. I think this sucks but at least I'm up and running. The 2nd set of chips I've ordered are a different revision number. Hopefully all the problems have been resolved.
Other Thoughts: Be prepared to buy two sets

Works perfect
Pros: Installed them in to an Asus Maximus Forumla. Without needing to change a single setting, it was immediately recognized as 1066. My system has been running rock-solid and stable.
Cons: Some of the previous reviews make me nervous, I guess, but I've never had anything but good ram (and luck ?) from Corsair.

Partial OBF
Pros: Inexpensive RAM.
Cons: You get what you pay for.
Other Thoughts: This will be my first and last time buying corsair. I installed it into a newly ordered/built machine. When I powered it on, I got a lovely blank screen. After trying a few other things first, I discovered that the one of the RAM modules was bad. The system booted fine on one, but not on the other. In all the time I've built and modified computers, this (thankfully) is my first RAM failure. I should have had a closer look at the reviews. The machine I built is running like a dream anyway though. If it had to be something, I'm glad it was the RAM.

New ones stock, not the same as old.
Pros: They worked with the 680i as far as I could tell.
Cons: They are no longer sli ready. They dont get along well with old sli chips
Other Thoughts: 3 stars for the overall transaction. Even though they are listed as sli ready on newegg, the ones in stock are not sli ready chips. I had to find this out the hard way. Just submited a pretty painless rma though.

Very Costly Mistake - 1st and Last With Corsair
Pros: Looks nice? Seems well-contructed? It's a stretch to say anything good right now, after having to replace all 4GB (two pairs) of original modules purchased in Aug. '06 for $806, only to now again be seeing issues that suggest another RMA may be required...and RMAs of 3-4 weeks are not fun.
Cons: Two pair of this memory were bought & installed in an ASUS P5WDH Deluxe motherboard with Core 2 Extreme CPU, overclocked to 3.5GHz with CPU Freq. 350MHz and DDR Freq. 700MHz (1:1 FSB:DDR), memory voltage at 2.2v and later reduced to 2.05v in effort to run a bit cooler. After 1st 6 months, 1 module faild outright with PC not booting if that module was installed. RMAed/replaced by Corsair without issues. After another 6 months, 2nd pair had similar failure, again replaced by Corsair. Tweaked system for cooler operation, running memory successfully at 2.05v for about 3-4 months 24/7 until PC failed to boot after an antivirus software update. Thought problem to be in software, but swapping memory modules revealed they were the problem...used 1 stick DDR2-667 to verify. Expected to RMA but consulted RAM Guy forum and was advised to run memory at spec 2.2v; did so and system booted, then ran fine until holiday shutdown Dec.'07. PC wouldn't POST on power up. Isolated bad module...
Other Thoughts: Oddly, no module was working after BIOS defaults were reset, but swap to single DDR2-667 memory was successful for POST, allowing memory voltage to be set to 2.2v spec, after which system booted from all but 1 module of Corsair memory...so prepared to request RMA. Decided first to briefly try 2.25v on this "bad" module...system booted! Reset to 2.2v, system still booted. Installed all 4 modules, and again system was booting just fine. Recently shut down PC to swap optical drive. Powered on...no boot, except off DDR2-667 Kington Value RAM...a $30 module that works like a champ but is lower performance. Will be exploring Corsair issue further to try and see if I can get system to boot off any of the 4 Corsair modules once I reset to 2.2v (Kingston runs at 1.8v). Overall this history of trouble is ridiculous and I'll not likely buy Corsair memory again.

EggCELLENT MEMORY!!!!
Pros: Well, don't know where to begin 1) Corsair 2)True Timing 3)Great Voltage 4)Definately Good OC for a 800Mhz rated @ 1066. 5)EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM CORSAIR
Cons: NONE! Simply great memory. For those that might be having trouble you should check your motherboard's voltage settings in the bios and make sure the voltage's are set to the memory specifications as well as the timings to take advantage and make your system more reliable SPD doesn't cut it these days. Good for great overclocking---> RUNNNING ON 4Ghz+! Mem Clocked @ 1130 @ 2.25V
Sometimes People get duds it happens to all of us...so take the time to speak to Customer Service guaranteed to take care of you---> I AM NOT EVEN A CORSAIR EMPLOYEE JUST BUILD SYSTEMS USING THERE MEMORY!
Other Thoughts: People that have been using Corsair know that Corsair is dedicated to Customer Service. They actually sound like they care about Customers! Its RARE nowadays to find companies that CARE about there Customer!

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P
Pros: 4bg of this memory is function correctly in a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P motherboard and seems to overclock very well.
Cons: None really. This stuff is really 800mhz ram thats overclocked at the factory anyway.
Other Thoughts: I wonder how well it will be doing a year from now.

8 months, dead
Pros: Memory ran great at stock settings, SLI enabled @ 1066 dual.
Cons: Died after 8 months and now, the Corsair RMA department tells me I have to wait until early February to get mine replaced!!!
Other Thoughts: Not happy with Corsair right now. I spent a good bit of money on this memory in March and I expected to get out what I paid for them. For 8 months I did, but now dead? Give me a break. *Granted, I give them credit, this is the first Corsair mem. to go bad on me since buying them for like 7 years.

Failed after 4 months
Pros: Worked great with my Gigabyte motherboard until...
Cons: One stick failed after 4 months. RMA'd it to Corsair and while they will replace it, it is back ordered and I have to wait a month. Ridiculous.
Other Thoughts: I expect much better reliability for the premium price paid.

Rated as PC2-6400
Pros: No bad sticks
Cons: All the sticks are rated internally as PC2-6400, not 8500. So the motherboard will set the speed as if they were 6400 chips (because they are!).
Other Thoughts: I'll try 'overclocking' them to the advertised speed, but I'm a bit disappointed that I have to.

great ram, but configure it right!
Pros: 1066 DDR2, heat spreaders, need to say anything else?
Cons: nothing really.. see below
Other Thoughts: BEFORE USING THIS RAM, GO INTO BIOS AND SET THE DRAM VOLTAGE TO AROUND 2.20V OR YOU WILL GET BSODs ALL OVER THE PLACE. thanks to the corsair tech for pointing this out.

Good, sorta
Pros: This memory is great when it works. It can handle anything you can throw at it.
Cons: Of this pair, one of my sticks went bad after 4 months of use, and apparently I'm not the only one that this has happened to, so be wary.
Other Thoughts: Hardware problems can happen with anything you buy, really. I just didn't expect this from Corsair. For shame.

Good memory but didin't received rebate
Pros: No problems with memory.

Worked well initially
Pros: Ran well for a while
Cons: Expensive RAM for something that would simply stop working after a few months.
Other Thoughts: I've never had this problem before with Corsair. I'll be looking at other manufacturers from here on out for my RAM.

Not bad but not at rated speed
Pros: good strong memory that fast if you compare it to a slower rated memory
Cons: can not stay at rated speed without exceptional cooling, Works very well at 800mhz but not stable at higher speeds
Other Thoughts: its cheap, but if you want that extra performance and clockability than look elswhere

Good RAM, but...
Pros: Owned it for 4 months now. Fast, reliable, easy to install, fits nicely in a cooler master stacker on a Gigabyte P35DQ6
Cons: for some reason, CPU-Z says it is not PC2 8500, but PC2 6400. The sticker on the ram says what is advertised, who should I believe?

Worst support ever!
Pros: The memory works (sort of)
Cons: I have a Gigabyte P35 DS4 Rev 2.0 which, by default, supports 1066MHz memory standard. I have an intel C2D E6750. I could not find support through Gigabyte so I attempted to contact corsair via their official support forums (asktheramguy). I was met with one sentence replies and virtually zero assistance. I was told that I would need to run the memory at 667MHz to run it stable even though my mobo supports 1066MHz. Corsair (or rather 'the ram guy') offered no specific info on voltages, timings, or other settings. I've tried running the memory at 667 only to still encounter errors in memtest86+. The Corsair 'ram guy' literally spent 30 seconds replying to my multiple posts for help. He told me to read some performance reports that don't list my motherboard at all.
Other Thoughts: It was only after I left an exceptionally nasty post on the forums that I got any actual response... but it's been over a week and I am done dealing with Corsair. OCZ, here I come...

Fast Ram
Pros: For these newer games, you need faster ram, and more of it. The board manufacturer recommended this memory. I also chose it for its speed and I admit it, popularity. It worked right out of the box. Computer recognized it immediately. No problems.
Cons: It wasn't buy one get one free. Did not accept AARP or give seniors discount. LOL

Adjusting Voltage, Timing, etc.
Pros: This is excellent RAM...at the time I bought it, it was impossible to find a board that supported 1066 by default, so i ran it at 800MHz.
This review is mainly directed towards Gus Tomer, but does apply to other people for sure. The Vista Experience Rating is a 5.9 at 800MHz. If you run this RAM at 1066MHz you should probably run it at 2.1V. I cannot believe that you would get a rating of 5.7 in Vista at 1066MHz. Something inside the module is slowing down when you adjust Timings or Voltage. If I can get an experience rating of 5.9 at 800MHz, you should definitely be able to get it at 1066MHz, unless you mess with stuff that USUALLY shouldn't be messed with.
Cons: I haven't found a board that this RAM doesn't work in, hence no CONS so far...and it always runs great. Have not ran it at 1066 However.
Other Thoughts: I primarily use this RAM on a Gigabyte P965 DQ6 Board. Since I run this at 800MHz...I'm wondering if i should be able to speed up the timings, but I'm thinking that the chipset won't let me.

Pros: Works as expected for products costing much less.
Cons: Gives numerous errors on memory tests when run at the rated speed. Errors disppear at 800. Have to lower the speed to 800 to get the computer to boot with it. By the time this was sorted out the memory could not be returned.
Other Thoughts: Memory speed is over rated in order to charge more.

Not bad
Pros: Runs 4 sticks at 1066Mhz 5-5-5-15 @ 1.9V on my Evga 680i SE mobo perfectly. By default the motherboard cranked the ram up to 2.1v, but I found it stable at 1.9v. Scores a 5.7 in the vista user experience.
Cons: Run HOT to touch at default 2.1v! Consider the dominator series with the oversized heatsinks if your case has space.
Was experiencing the dreaded NVLDDMKM.DLL blue screen. troubleshot everything I could think of and eventually began swapping sticks of memory & memtesting. As fast as the problem appeared, it has disappeared. I still think Vistas 32 bit addressing is too blame.
Other Thoughts: Next gen games using Vista and DX10 are saturating the address limits of a 32 bit operating system. Blue screens GALORE.
We all know Vista SHOULD have been 64 bit only!

Corsair z Just Doesn't Work
Pros: I bought a pair of these 6 months ago and they worked great.
Cons: I bought a second pair on Oct 14th, which were bad (in memtest, and wouldn't clock at 1066). Fine, it happens. However, the RMA process took almost a month to approve which is unacceptable. I recieved my RMA pair and it was also bad in memtest, wouldn't clock, and had an outdated version # which was incompatable with the sticks Newegg sells. Okay, so since then, I've recieved not one, but two subsequent pairs of bad ram. These last two pairs had heat spreaders falling off, and packages that looked like they'd been openned several times. These last two actually clock 1066, but can't load windows because they have many many errors on them. I've tested all of these RMA sticks individually, and in pairs in all slots of my motherboard, and they are all just horribly bad ram. Corsair customer support has been slow, uninformed, and frequently does not understand the specs for their own product. Would you want to go through this trouble for such expensive Ram?
Other Thoughts: My initial pair from 6 months ago is still running fine, tests forever with no errors on memtest, and basically I can't do much to it to make it not work right. I wish I'd never bought them though, because I had no idea what dealing how bad dealing with Corsair was going to be. Oh, and I even lost the money for my Rebate, because this RMA has taken longer than the expiration date of rebate offer. Fantastic.

Excellent memory when it works.
Pros: Blazing fast, keeps up with the rest of my system. 5-5-5-15 timings, recognized automatically by evga 680i sli mobo. Boots @ 800mhz @1.8v so you can increase the voltage/speed without needing cheap, low-voltage RAM initially.
Cons: One stick from my fist pair (8 months ago) died within a week. Just bought another pair, and the same thing happened. Corsair uses a chip in these that runs 800mhz natively, so when run at 1066mhz @ 2.1-2.2v (within factory spec) these sticks get quite hot.
Other Thoughts: Setup: C2D e6600 @ 3ghz, evga 680sli mobo, 4gb of this memory, pny 8800gtx, 3 normal sata hdd's, watercooled.

Still running strong after 4 months
Pros: Runs at advertised speed of 1066 mhz on an ASUS p5k, excellent for gaming
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: You may have to adjust the DRAM multiplier to get it to run at 1066, I had to on my p5k.

Pros: Compatible with 3 different brands of motherboards I have worked with, no issues at all.

Never got to advertized clock speed
Pros: Looks cool, has heat spreaders
Cons: Does not run at 1066mhz. Max clock speed I achieved was 900mhz (stable) with stock timing of 5-5-5-15. Was able to tighten timings a bit but For not being able to run near the rated speed at stock settings and correct voltage (even raised a bit) I rate this very poor. I would save your money and go get a different brand.
Other Thoughts: Asus striker extreme, LGA775 e6750,900W psu
Manufacturer Response:Sammy, we are very sorry you had the issue. If the modules won't run to their rated specifications, we will gladly replace them for you. Also, in many cases when OCing on a Striker Extreme, you will need to increase the SPP voltage (aka memory controller) and the vFSB. If you have not gotten your memory to clock properly, please contact our Tech Support team and let us assist you. TS: 888-222-4346

Never got to 1066, both sticks died
Pros: Unfortunately, I can't think of one.
Cons: *Higher price that Crucial. *Never made it to 1066 no matter what I did. *One stick died after a month, then the other stick died a month later.
Other Thoughts: I don't think this memory can take the 2.2v in the spec for the 1066 speed. If kept at 1.8v and 800MHz, they should run fine but then what's the point of buying this memory. I am very disapointed in Corsair, who has served me well up and until this point.
Manufacturer Response:Yipper, we are very sorry you had the issue. We guarantee that our memory will run its rated speed or we will replace it. Please contact our RMA department so we can resolve this for you. Corsair: 888-222-4346

3rd time's the charm, I hope...
Pros: Worked great for about 2 months.
Cons: One stick from my first pair went bad after about 2 months. Received the RMA replacement pair, tested each stick with Memtest+, no problems for another two months, then another bad stick. Currently waiting for another RMA replacement, and hoping these ones last a while.
Other Thoughts: I'm running these in the EVGA 680i, which is said to have memory controller issues. I have to wonder if the memory is completely at fault, or if the motherboard is to blame.

ouch
Pros: I've been buying Corsair memory for years for personal use and at work (PC Tech) and have had almost no problems.
Cons: I purchased 2 of these kits. Neither kit, nor any pair combination would detect as SLI ready on my evga 680i mobo (yes I was only using 2 at a time because SLI/EPP won't work with 4). System will not even boot when one of the kits was being used. I ran memtest on all 4 modules individually and found all 4 had numerous errors. RMA-ing the really bad pair first.
Other Thoughts: Bad batch? Were these put together at 4:55 on a Friday? All 4 serial numbers were within a range of 40 modules.
Manufacturer Response:Me, we are sorry you had an issue. Could you please contact Tech Support or RAM GUY at our forums so we can get these lot numbers and look into this situation? Thank you, Corsair Technical Support: 888-222-4346

corsair = bad
Pros: great memory untill they go bad
Cons: Went bad, newegg will hopefully take care of me.
Other Thoughts: I ordered 1 set and it ran great so i ordered another set to get to 4gb after 2 weeks the second set went bad (one stick). So i got an rma and then right before i left to send the 1st set back my pc crashed so I troubleshot it And found it kept bsod with a mem dump so i took one stick out and the heatsink was coming off one side so itried to put it back on and a chip fell off. DO NOT BUY.

VISTA 32 and 4GB
Pros: Excellent memory for the price. Works as stated. Don't need to pay the extra for the Dominator Heat Spreader as long as you have the Dominator fan.
Cons: DO NOT USE MORE THAN 2GB WITH VISTA 32BIT. Can run hot without fan.

Garbage
Pros: Runs stable.. for a month.. if you're LUCKY!
Cons: Have had to RMA two pairs in the last 3 months.
Other Thoughts: The Corsair XMS memory I've bought in the past was worth whatever price premium I had paid. This is NOT the case with this memory and I am utterly disappointed in the quality of this product. It will run fine for a couple of weeks, then the BSOD will rear its ugly head and it's downhill from there! Purchase this RAM if you dare...
Manufacturer Response:ANONYMOUS, this is certainly not typical of our memory and we are sorry you had the issue. If there is any way we can assist you or if you have any additional feedback for us, please contact our customer service or RAM GUY at our forum. CS: 888-222-4346

Corsair is the bst
Pros: 2 gigs for a great price thats uber fast.
Cons: Funny...cons?
Other Thoughts: I am not sure about other mobos but on the Asus P5K-E to get it to run at 1066FSB, you need to select the DRAM speed manually then it will run it without problems. Great RAM and very fast from my old PC3200 DDR.

P5B @ 1066MHz?
Pros: Had this memory in my P5B Dlx System paired with an E6700 for several months and it has been stable and solid @ 800MHz
Cons: Having a hard time getting the memory to clock at 1066MHz.
Other Thoughts: To shyane: You have a very similar setup to me, what voltage are you running the memory at? Are you setting the timings manually? If so what timings are you using? Is additional cooling required to run these at 1066MHz? Any help you could offer would be great, thx.

Fast/Stable RAM
Pros: I bought 2 packs of these, so 4x1GB. No problems so far out of the box, running on Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit (installed Ultimate with one stick, and after hotfix put the other three sticks in.) Very fast, very stable, completely recommended.
Cons: None so far. Does what I expect it to do.
Other Thoughts: I still have yet to set them at 2.2Vs.
Sys: Q6600, GeForce 8800 GTX

Good ram
Pros: -
Cons: Unstable past 1160mhz in my rig.
Other Thoughts: Decent price for fast ram, I got it $25 cheaper a week ago but missed my chance on the mail-in rebate!

Good unless it dies
Pros: Fast
Cons: Not low voltage and better than 5-5-5-15 is available. Price is HIGH! One of my sticks went bad after 2 months. This was very hard to figure out becuase it caused probs with the video instead of just freezing. Isolated and verified one stick was bad.
Other Thoughts: I'm not overclocking (yet) because I'm still running a P4 that isn't worth my time to optimize. Will likely get an E660 or E6420 (to match the RAM's speed of 1066Mhz)
Would buy again (will) when the price drops below US.125 -- I paid US.120 (after 40 rebate)

Pretty good.
Pros: Fast and stable (mostly, keep reading).
Cons: I bought 2 of these (so 4 GB total) and I had 2 bad sticks. No problem, bad batches happen, in RMA process right now.
Other Thoughts: Be sure the set your voltage at 2.2v for these. Standard DDR2 modules run at about 1.8v or so. I had so many errors and problems because I didn't know the stock voltage that these were rated for and as a result were way undervolted. Also, trying to install vista with more than 3GB will more than likely not work because of some stupid bug. You'll need to only put 2GB in then update with the hotfix for that bug.

MAKE sure that the board, CPU, and chipset support this memory!
Pros: If you can couple this memory with the right CPU (Intel E6750), the right motherboard (ASUS P5K Premium WiFi/AP Ed.) and the right FSB on the chipset...then you are golden. I use the above CPU and mobo and the 1333Mhz FSB, the 2.66Ghz E6750 Intel CPU, and of course this memory...and I achieve the natively supported DDR2-1066 specs easily.
Cons: IF you dont have a mobo, chipset, or CPU to support this memory, don't buy it, get the DDR2-800 (PC2-6400) memory otherwise.
Other Thoughts: As I said, be careful in the decisions you make when purchasing this memory, make sure it is compatible with what you are installing it into.

2 day RMA
Pros: N/A at this point.
Cons: MB would not recognize 2nd stick without changing voltage values. One stick went bad after 2 days. In the process of RMA.
Other Thoughts: Asus P5K Delux

10 month RMA
Pros: one of the first PC2 8500 memory modules available. Corsair's RMA process hasn't had an issue.
Cons: 10 months at the spec 2.2v (only running at ~900MHz) and both sticks went bad.
Other Thoughts: Asus P5W DH deluxe MB on ACP power conditioning UPS with Antec HE 550 power supply

Pros: So far so good. It can handle the overclocking with my Koolance liquid cooling and hasn't showed any weakness yet.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Specs: Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800, 2 x Corsair PC2-8500 1GB, 2 x ATI Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB, 2 x WD Caviar SE16 500GB HDD, Silverstone ST85F 850W PSU, Koolance liquid cooling, Windows Vista Home Premium.

No luck, RMAed
Pros: I've been a long time Corsair fan and I've used their memory in my past 4 PCs. But this time, i was not so lucky.
Cons: I've been running this RAM in an ASUS P5W DH for about 10 months. I experimented with all the different BIOS versions but could never get it to run stable above 1000MHz, even after bumping up voltage to 2.25v. I had to run it at ~900MHz 2.2v to get stable performance with 5-5-5-15 timings.
Other Thoughts: A few days ago, one of the sticks fried and now i have to RMA.

Seems Great So Far
Pros: Checked a bunch of newegg reviews and these seemed to be consistently highly rated compared to some other brands. Plus a reabte helps. Bought 4GB for a 32-bit Vista system for the extra 500MB and change over 3GB. Nice looking heatsinks.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6,QX6800, CoolIt Freezone, EVGA 8800Ultra, 2x74GB Raptors RAID 0, Enermax Galaxy 1000W, Antec 900, Sceptre X22WG-Gamer, and now 4GB Corsair XMS2 PC2-8500

Everyone makes mistakes
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: Totally self destruct if you touch the voltages. Average Stability.
Other Thoughts: These memory modules apparently do not work well with the crosshair. I just noticed another review of the other 1066 modules the 8500-C5DF and he has the exact problem I had.
It crashed I RMA'D the mobo and found one module was dead. I didn't have perfect stability so I moved the voltage from 1.85 default to 1.875 and the CHECK DRAM that happened originally happened again. Now both modules are deal :(

As expected
Pros: I put 4 gig of this memory in my new setup, and all works very well. I haven't messed with timings or overclocking and probably won't, at least for a while. Corsair is the best memory IMHO.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I do miss the activity lights on my old DDR pro series, but hey, you can't have everything!

Love this memory.
Pros: Great memory, great price, great service from Newegg as usual. I bought this mainly because of the EPP and SLI certification to use in an EVGA 680i SLI MB. Board recognized it right away and set timings automatically.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Can't wait to buy another 2.

I love it
Pros: its 1066, good overclocking, fast
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I got 2 of these for a total of 4 GB of memory. They work like a charm. XP only recognizes 3.25 GB but vista recognizes all 4. I have been sticking with xp b/c vista is to buggy but when I switch to vista permanently I will be glad to have these. Games load so fast compared to my old computer. I love it.

flexible ram
Pros: underclocking to 800 gets very tight timings = great performance. running at stock 1066 with 1:1 on 1066 fsb = great performance. unlinked with proc at whatever OC you can manage and ram at stock 1066 or OCed to whatever you can manage = great performance. it's nice to have options.
Cons: a bit more expensive than some -- but these modules have a lower burn-out rate than most others. if you don't yet know about the pandemic high voltage memory issues that abound, i recommend you look into it.
Other Thoughts: corsair = good company. if you plan on OCing and don't know how to determine if you're buying micron D9s, you probably don't know enough to get a safe OC. if you don't know about the benefits of underclocking for tight timings, you don't know enough to criticize those who do.

Best RAM by far
Pros: Fast, stable and now cheap!
Cons: Price was higher when I bought the first set 9buying a second set)
Other Thoughts: I tried replacing this with some Crucial Ballistix RAM and went back to the Corsair -- MUCH more stable running at the rated speed.

Cons: cons, what ? ran out of money and wanted 2 more sticks.
Other Thoughts: great stuff for the price get it :)

Good stuff with 4 DIMMs installed on 680i
Pros: Great RAM - great OC potential.
Cons: None works at specification even with 4 DIMMS installed!
Other Thoughts: At first booting this ram@ 4 GB with vistax64 on an evga a1 mobo yields bsods, but if you can get it to boot into windows, perform windows update immediately because the new update fixes the bsods that occur with 4gb of this and 680i boards.(some sort of storport.sys) I was about to RMA this ram because it bsoded everytime with 4 DIMMS installed - but cancelled when I read that the poor development of windows vista is to blame, not the quality ram Corsair makes!

Good and Stable
Pros: Fast and stable ram.
Cons: Price dropped within a week after I ordered. RMA refund the old sticks and re-ordered the newly priced one. After paying for shipping and re-stocking fee, I am still ahead of sixty bucks.
Other Thoughts: I purcased this ram for OC. I am still hesitating to do that since I heard the 680i board combine with high memory voltage is a ram killer over time.

Pros: to all you people running this ram underclocked. w t f? This is 1066mhz ram... Not 800, not 900, not 1000. Why wont you run the ram at what its rated? I dont get it.
Cons: Some people are just not that smart...
Other Thoughts: ^^

Corsair Wins Again
Pros: This memory is fantastic. I have had a very successful time overclocking this ram to over 1200MHZ. Rock solid memory from Corsair as always. Great timings. Two thumbs up.
Cons: None. It's hard to really find any with the RAM. It is so stable at stock and OC'd speeds.
Other Thoughts: The first pair I recieved was dead out of the package. RMA'd it for a brand new set. So impressed I purchased a second.

This ram is awesome
Pros: This ram is awesome, outperforms anything I've had before. Easily overclocks to 1066, and have had it around 1100.
Cons: None found.
Other Thoughts: My system is not cool enough to get the full potential from this ram. My fault, not the ram :)
That Chuckbam that rated it with a 1 or 2, read up, your board is picky about ram, your board is the issue, not the ram.

PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT!! (LIMIIIIIT!!!!)
Pros: Ride the stakes, and push the bounds... LIMIT!!!! Sorry, that's all I can seem to sing now that I'm on the Corsair bandwagon :-p This RAM is simply fantastic!
It's 2nd to none for the pirce and the potential. Way better than the dominator serise, and very cheap for such good ram. I easily pushed it to 1150mhz with timings at 5-5-5-10. Great ram ^^
Cons: Uhh it won't do my homework, make spread sheets, play the video games for me. -frowns- Oh wait, it does... and very well might I add ^^
Other Thoughts: Well people keep posting there rig specs so here's mine.
Mobo - Evga 680i A1 PSU - TT toughpower 850W RAM - 2 2gb kits of Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 (4 gigs total ^^) Processor - Intel Qx6700 Quad core at 4.2GHz!!! GPU - Twin BFG 8800GTX OC2E (overclocked further than BFG did ^^) HD's - 2 500GB WD Caviar drives in raid 0 and a 150GB Raptor X by WD for the OS. OS - Windows Vist Ultimate 64bit ^^ Cooling - Swiftech Apex GT LC Kit Case - Raidmax Siruius Mid Tower
MY comp is a beast that'll tear through anything. I'm very please with my purchases from NewEgg, simply Eggclent :-p

Pros: Crazy fast I can easily push this thing to 1150 and fantastic timings. EPP helps to overclock your CPU.
Cons: None really memory specific, price is a little high. Could get 4GB of slower ram at the same price.
Other Thoughts: Makesure your CPU has a FSB of 1066 or you will have a bottle neck at 800.
