Works Perfectly
Pros: Works exactly as advertised. Fast, Stable, and Cool.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've got 4 of these in a Tyan K8WE and its been rock solid for years. Be sure to remember that these are ECC and Registered... make sure your MoBo supports them.

good ram
Pros: Put this on a Tyan S2881 motherboard (Tyan GX28 to be exact). Works solid. I have owned 2 sticks for almost a year and not a single problem. Just ordered 2 more and expect the same result.
Cons: Nothing yet. Just ordered 2 more sticks because the first 2 work like a charm.
Other Thoughts: I have owned countless Corsair sticks in the past and rock solid. Bad sticks get RMA'd and sometimes you get a better stick or set back in return.

Solid
Pros: In the three years I have owned this I have never had one issue with it
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I purchased a second one to upgrade my computer and am more than pleased! My computer has been cugging away with these for 3 years

Rock Solid RAM.
Pros: With a name like Corsair, you honestly can't go wrong.. except if you didn't pay attention to the RAM's specifications and requirements... (Read the Cons section.)
Cons: PLEASE NOTE: This RAM IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH MOTHERBOARDS THAT HAVE ECC!! (Error Control Correction) Pay attention, people! If you buy this RAM and do not have ECC, IT WILL NOT WORK, PERIOD.

Inexpensive!
Pros: Well... -Inexpensive -Registered -Works fine on my Dual Opteron 946HE, Motherboard is a Tyan Thunder K8SR. -Bought 2 sticks, 0 bad.
Cons: -None-
Other Thoughts: Aimed at server applications, you won't really need this unless your server is working on large datasets where accuracy is mandatory; or like me, your motherboard requires it.

Pros: Solid, stable memory. It's hard to go wrong with Crucial.
Cons: As always, price, but this stuff has gotten significantly cheaper.
Other Thoughts: Bought 4 sticks to add to my existing pair, giving me a total of 6 GB. This helped give my older dual Opteron system a nice upgrade. Make sure you realize this memory is meant for server systems.

They just work!
Pros: I have quite a few of these sticks around as a few of my servers take them. Every one I have received worked from the time I installed and has never shown a problem!
Cons: None - Others that rate these low because theirs stopped working or was a DOA is not a sign at all of their performance. Sticks that die are MOST TIMES from bad setups or no power protection on the lines and DOA's are just the chip makers fault (Samsung), not corsairs and anyone that gets a replacement that also not working or dies just does not know what they are doing because EVERY STICK I have works perfect.
Other Thoughts: Would recommend that you install heat spreaders, as they can run hot but make sure they work good before you do or are out of warranty, as you have to remove the label (aka warranty) to install them. At least get a fan for them if you don't want to mess with the warranty stickers.

Reliable and inexpensive
Pros: I've used Corsair brand memory for a number of years now and have come to trust it as a reliable quality product. Paired with Newegg's low prices and superior service, you have an offering that can't be beat!
Cons: None.

Great Memory
Pros: Worked right the first time and still working strong. Performance increased more.
Cons: Only use for ECC Registered supported motherboards with this memory or there will be problems. But thats not really a con unless you dont know.
Other Thoughts: I ordered two more sticks of this memory to go with two other sticks that I use in my Asus SK8V motherboard. All my memory is identical for optimum compatibility and performance.

Corsair DDR400
Pros: Very reliable, in two years of ownership not one memory failure.
Cons: A little expensive, but worth it.
Other Thoughts: Upgrading to 2GB.

Will NOT work for a Dell PowerEdge 400SC
Pros: The memory arrived quickly and the RMA refund request was given out right away. This was the first item that I ever had to return and it turned out easier than I expected.
Cons: The server wouldn't even post once the memory was installed, just beep. I tried re-seating the memory with the same results. Tried just one stick at a time, same results. Reinstalled the original memory, and the server booted just fine.
RMA to refund incompatible memory results in a restocking fee.

All right!!
Pros: - Had in PCCHIPS A21G Socket 939 mobo w/AMD Athlon 64 3200+ processor for two years. Absolutely no problem with mobo, processor, or memory. A truly great and economical combo. I wouldn't call it a screaming machine, but with a Radeon 5200+ vid card ( 128 MB, AGP 8x ) I can play Call of Duty ( online ) with abolultely no problems!
Cons: None. Like I said -- abolutely no problems.
Other Thoughts: This mobo/processor/memory combo was suggested by a professional computer builder. He was right. Two years and NO PROBLEMS. In fact, fixing to get a second gig of memory ( same one - this one! ).

Quality, stable RAM
Pros: Very stable at stock speed; no errors; proper 2.5V
Cons: ECC has slight performance hit
Other Thoughts: Been very stable memory; no problems; I've learned it's very important to match voltage as well as type/speed of memory. My motherboard *requires* ECC memory, so I didn't have an option. This memory type is getting scarce, so max out your servers (that you're planning to keep around) soon before they are all gone.

2+ Years and still Solid Performance
Pros: This has been running on an Asus K8N-DL with two Opteron 248's for over two years now. I'm running 2 Gb per CPU. I have had zero problems with this even though my system stays on 24/7.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Both processors are watercooled along with video card and chipset. Radiator fans exhaust through the radiator to outside air so case temps stay close to ambient room temp.

This memory is good
Pros: No issues at all. Running 2gigs with my AMD64 and ASUS SK8N motherboard on Windows Vista/ Ubuntu Linux. The system is running fast.
Cons: Price! Server memory is costly. But on the upside, this is the cheapest one can get.
Other Thoughts: Check whether your board can take this memory before buying. Remember that it is ECC Registered Server memory.

Corsair, it's just the best.
Pros: I picked up two more sticks for my SuperMicro H8DCE workstation.. Dual Opterons on Nforce Pro. I now have 4 sticks of the Corsair and the original 4 sticks of some now hard to find (discontinued) OCZ. It all works fine and all 8GB is there in WinXP 64 bit.
Cons: None, it's Corsair.
Other Thoughts: Highly recomended.

**NOT** Rock Solid
Pros: Good when they work.
Cons: I've returned 3 out of 8 (37.5%) for separate failures in 2 linux dual core dual opteron boxes. "Rock solid"?!? Not! I think the once mighty Corsair has forgotten how to spell QC. I expected more for my server grade memory dollar -- these didn't come cheap!
Other Thoughts: Newegg RMA still rocks! It's just unfortunate I've had to use it so often.

Works in Acer Altos G301 / PowerEdge 600SC
Pros: Compatible with the slower mainboards. Some of the DDR266 compatible mainboards have problems with some DDR400 memory, but so far this memory has had a 100% track record with every server ive tried it in. Acer Altos G301 and a few PowerEdge 600SCs (both have identical mainboards minus bios.)
Cons: Price. Yes for businesses this isn't a problem, but if you are a tinkerer that picked up a cheap server (in this case this Acer) and wanted to upgrade the memory, it costs a little bit more than regular desktop memory. In my case it isn't a con. In reality its fairly cheap.
Other Thoughts: Had a client roll in with an Acer Altos G301 (identical mainboard to the PowerEdge 600SCs we have in the shop) with no memory, after extensive research, we found that it uses DDR266 Registered ECC, it wont post with anything else. This memory allowed the system to fire right up, although it only ran at DDR266 speeds, but that is to be expected with a DDR266 mainboard.

Perfect for Supermico H8DCE
Pros: Stable, and works. I had some issues with my previous RAM having the wrong CAS Latency timings and voltage for my Supermicro H8DCE motherboard, but this RAM works great.
Cons: Only thing is they don't come with heat spreaders, but they only cost a few bucks a piece, so no biggie.
Other Thoughts: Can't wait to get two more sticks so I can utilize the dual0channell bandwidth and NUMA.

Pros: Rock steady, solid, plug in and runs great. Stable, and runs cool. (not over clocked)
Cons: Bought it 2 months ago, it's dropped 123.00 since I bought it. O well, that's how the market goes.
Other Thoughts: Solid, steady, easy!

Great Memory -- Worth the price
Pros: Been running this memory on a server for almost 2 years...never a hiccup...it's stable and reliable and fast as hell!
Cons: The price might seem high to some...but you get what you pay for...and the price was well worth it...

Not Recommended Now
Pros: Fine when they work.
Cons: I've returned 2 of 4, each for separate failures in different Linux machines. Corsair used to be "rock solid" (as folks seem to often say), but I think they're quality is lower than it used to be.
Other Thoughts: Newegg RMA rox! They've quickly turned around the 2 RMA's & got me back online -- tanx Newegg!

Bought 18 returned 0
Pros: I bought 18 of these to run on some TYAN S3870G2NR-RS motherboards. After running on busy web servers for over a month none have been a problem. I assumed at least 2 would be doa but was incorrect. With Tyan mobo's if you find RAM that works - stock up.
Cons: Always a shortage of this RAM.

caused 2 servers to panic
Pros: none
Cons: i upgraded 2 servers from 2gb to 4gb [tyan s2882-d] with 4 of these corsair dimms. both booted ok and seemed fine at first but they started panicking every hour with Machine Check Exceptions. they'd never panicked before. removed the ram and now they're fine again.
Other Thoughts: like "Ryan" i used to trust corsair but this experience has left me sour. i won't be buying their dimms again. don't buy this ram unless you really like to gamble.

Good RAM
Pros: Good Price, does the job
Cons: None that I'm aware of
Other Thoughts: Just an FYI for people looking at this RAM: I've been using it in a Tyan S2892G3NR using 2 dual core Opterons witout any issues. I've bought a lot of corsair ram, and this like the others seems to be just fine.

Good substitute for TWINX2048RE-3200
Pros: Working fine for me. Tyan S2882 motherboard with total of 8GB installed (2GB CM72SD and 6GB TWINX)
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I'd recently tried to pick up 2GB of Corsair TWINX2048RE-3200 - I already had 6GB of the TWINX installed and running rock-solid on the machine, so I'd hoped to continue with this "known-good" configuration. During my search I learned that Corsair had discontinued the TWINX2048RE line, so I had to find a subsitute instead. A quick chat with a Corsair tech rep confirmed that their CM72SD1024RLP memory would be fully compatible with my existing TWINX. I'm running the CM72SD at 3-3-3-8 (same latency settings as the TWINX), and the mix of CM72SD and TWINX is still error-free after 24 of continuous memtest86 testing.

25% failure rate
Pros: 3 out of 4 worked on arrival.
Cons: 1 out of 4 had ECC errors on arrival

Pros: Been running one stick in my system for 6 months, just added a second one this week. Works great, seems solid. Working in dual channel mode now.
Cons: None that I can say. Always wish the price would go down some, but for ECC/Reg memory, that's unrealistic.
Other Thoughts: My system: MSI K8N Master2-FAR 1 Opteron 244 7800GT

6 months and still awesome!
Pros: Excellent results in Tyan Thunder K8WE with dual Opterons. Currently running a pair and planning on adding another pair. Purchased based on Tyan's recomended list. Super stable!!
Cons: None really, Good value. Reg/ECC isn't fast, so it performs about to my expectations.
Other Thoughts: I use a Thermaltake Armour case, and the memory doesn't need a heat spreader. Case keeps memory at very acceptable temps.

Excellent RAM
Pros: Used it for over a year, no problems, fast as can be. Planning on buying 2 more sticks in the future.
Cons: Doesn't have a built-in heatsink.... but what one does for its price?

Excellent product
Pros: Top quality memory at a competitive price
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've been using Corsair memory for about a decade, and I've never been disappointed. I've had two sticks of this particular memory inside my dual Opteron machine for the last two years with excellent results. One stick died after six months (a first in all my years of owning Corsair), but Corsair immediately replaced it and I've had no problems since.

Works Great With Opteron
Pros: This memory performs well in my Dual Core Opteron, Dual Processor system. This works where the unregistered (unbuffered) memory did not.
Cons: A little pricey
Other Thoughts: Registered RAM is a little bit slower than unregistered (unbuffered) RAM. However, if you are building a server and you need it to be rock solid and stable, or if you are building a system that will be handling multiple processors or very large amounts of RAM (a server), you need this memory. Just ordered a few more sticks today.

Does not work on Dell PowerEdge 700
Pros: Good Price - Great Service
Cons: Not recognized by my Dell PE700M
Other Thoughts: Service was great. RMA process was hassel free, replaced with Kingston KST D400 KVR400X72C3A/1G R - which is working great.

Memory
Pros: None that I could find but likely this was my error. Newegg customer support very responsive in working on this issue with me!
Cons: Didnt work in any of my socket 754 Machines. Couldnt find any documentation to suggest this was dual channel memory. If it is DUAL Channel then I blew it. If it isnt dual channel then I recieved 3 bad sticks in a row. Unable to use the memory and remains in its brand new packaging uninstalled. :/

excellent buy. stable & fast
Pros: corsair is known for rock-solid memory and this module is no exception. i've deployed 80 pieces in 20 workstations and have only had one DOA unit.
Cons: as others have reported, occasional DOAs but 1 in 80 isn't bad from my perspective.
Other Thoughts: definitely would recommend this product and buy again

Rock solid in our servers!
Pros: We have 32 (!) of these across 4 dual-Opteron servers in heavy-use Tyan GX28/S2882 systems and they're rock solid. Not a single failure.
Cons: They don't produce ice cream or flowers. They just sit there, being RAM.

Cons: none so far, been 6 months
Other Thoughts: put 2 of these in my tyan K8SE (s2892) with two opteron 246s. works great, no problems.

DOA
Comments: Im giving this RAM 4 stars only cause I have friends that use this and it is stable and fast. However, if I were to rate it on my own experience, I would probably give this a 2. When it first arrived I started up my comp and, after a bit of troubleshooting and researching, realized that my RAM was dead. So I contacted Newegg which was very understanding and gave me an RMA. Then I sent it to Newegg via UPS which took about a week cause UPS SUCKS (should have used Fedex). The moral of the story is that when you buy this, considering mine and the previous review, beware! Also, DONT USE UPS EVER!!!

Comments: Good for server/workstation RAM. However, got one defective module, which I had to RMA for a new one since it wouldnt post in BIOS. Would buy again.

Good RAM
Comments: It's fairly cheap, high quality brand. Works great in my dual Opteron system, runs as full speed and programs load very quickly.

Perfect Home Server RAM
Comments: I got 2 of these for my home server and WOW! what beautiful performance!! I'm going to get 4 more of these when I upgrade my main workstation; this is by far the best DDR memory I've ever used to date; running Windows Server 2003 without a hitch 24/7 and it's great! Thank you NewEgg for carrying the BEST and FedEx for blazing fast delivery time!!

solid and cheap
Comments: very stable and cheap memory for my dual opteron box (got 4 of these for now - will probably get another 4 a little later to fill in all the banks). get it and you won't regret it.
