Rating + 5 Excellent RAM

Pros: Best timings I could find on DDR2 800 RAM. Works as advertised. I actually am running this RAM at it's advertised settings at 1.9volts, since my Shuttle doesn't like going over that. I'm even running 4-4-4-10 on these. OCing isn't really a possibility on this board, other than timings.

Cons: Won't run at 3-3-3-9. :( (lol)

Other Thoughts: Going to pick up a second set and run 8GB in my shuttle gaming rig. Should be great with a C2Q for running some VM's.

Rating + 5 Mushkin delivers

Pros: These babies are solid! The sticks are solid construction and deliver the promised benefits without much effort. In the past, when a problem did occur, Mushkin worked to address my concerns without hesitation.

Cons: None.

Rating + 5 Couldnt get any better

Pros: They look dead sexy to start, but they are also phenomenal at overclocking, got them running 1066 speeds easy.

Cons: Prices are going up on DDR2 because of DDR3, if you are planning to upgrade, buy now.

Other Thoughts: Was worried about them being so close on the MB, but no issues have occured yet.

Rating + 5 <3 Mushkin

Pros: Great timings, works as advertised, solid memory from an awesome memory company.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I've been a long time mushkin fan but almost bought some g.skill as the voltage rating was a little lower for similar timings. Ended up sticking with the mushkin though because they've always been rock solid. I just upgraded from 2gb of the older 4-5-4-11 blackline and I'm definitely not disappointed.

Rating + 5 Good ram, price is steep though.

Pros: Bought for a low latency AMD phenom II system. Apparently my mobo won't do CAS 4, so I decided to try for high mhz and 5 CAS instead. Currently testing @ 550mhz 5-5-5-12 2.1v error free. Good ram, Mushkin is good as always.

Cons: Price.

Other Thoughts: Not newegg or Mushkin's fault, but I remember paying half this price for faster ram a year ago.

Rating + 5 Excellent RAM

Pros: Very low latency.
Looks nice.
Not expensive.

Cons: Not DDR3.... ':/
Not super cheap.

Other Thoughts: I went with DDR2 after I learned the performance gain to DDR3 is negligible, and DDR2 is much lower latency and cheaper. But the price differences are evening out. Either type is perfectly fine, but I saved money w/ DDR2 and didn't lose much/any performance.

Rating + 5 MUSHKIN Memory

Pros: Arguably the best memory mfg..no other mfg tests to a deeper degree than Mushkin. The memory works exactly as stated...scores 7.7 on WEI (Win 7 64bit)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Correctly priced from NewEgg as always.

Rating + 5 Works great

Pros: I wanted 2x2GB to add to my 2x1GB setup since I moved to Windows 7 64 bit. I was already using an older model of Mushkin PC6400 DRAM so I was hoping to get something that would match the timings and voltage of these old sticks - and still provide for good OC'ing.

Got these in one day (thanks Newegg!) and plugged them in without even remembering to drop the BIOS settings down to stock. Didn't matter. The combined 6GB cranked right up at stock voltage and 2x450MHz without even breaking a sweat. A 12 hour run of Memtest86+ came up with zero errors. Same for Windows benchmarks (Linpack, ORTHOS, Prime95).

I'm sure if I decide to up the voltage a bit (sticks are at 2.0V but are rated to 2.1V) along with MCH I can get them to go faster. I'm really pleased with these and my older Mushkins. I just wish I bought them before the price of DDR2 DRAM went crazy.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: These and my other 2 older Mushkins fit great in the 4 DIMM slots on my MB. Heatsinks don't touch.

Pros: None one of the sticks was DOA and Mushkin support hasn't even bothered to reply to my support email regarding the bad stick.

Cons: Bad technical support.

Pros: Eight days shy of having this ram for a year and after the initial config of ram timings in the bios I have not had a single problem in my system. Everything is quick and it was a significant performance increase over the DDR1 I finally gave up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Never heard of Mushkin prior to purchasing this ram. They've done a fine job and I will look to them in the future.

Pros: 5 eggs to Mushkin for their outstanding customer service. In response to my bad review on 11/9/2009, I was contacted by Nick Soutouras at Mushkin & a replacement set of memory modules was immediately sent. The replacement set is working great.

Thanks Mushkin !

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Check out the forums on the Mushkin website. Recommended memory timings are available for popular motherboards.

Rating + 1 Disappointed

Pros: None.

Cons: The memory package I received from Newegg appeared to have already been opened. I decided to use the two memory sticks anyway; this was a big mistake. The two sticks failed both the Windows memory tester and MemTest86. Neither stick would pass memory tests at 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-18. To ensure that my new motherboard was not the problem, I installed some generic memory I had sitting around. The generic memory ran & tested okay.

I don't know if these sticks came bad from Mushkin or if they were bad sticks that were accidently recycled by Newegg.

Unfortunately I have already used the UPC code off of the memory package to file for a rebate. So I've spent $75 and in return I'm stuck with two faulty memory sticks.

Other Thoughts: A reminder: always run a good memory diagnostic before proceding with a system build. It will save you a lot of time.

Another reminder: don't send in rebates until you are absolutely positively sure that the product works.
Manufacturer Response:Greetings,

We apologize for the inconvenience, and assure you we did not ship memory to NewEgg in this condition. Please contact sales@mushkin.com for assistance with your return.

Rating + 5 No Problems

Pros: Got it installed with no problems. Left my Asus P5N-E motherboard's memory timings at 4-4-4-12 and some memory clock speed at 2 (out of possible Auto, 1, or 2 but cannot recall the name) and it works like a charm. Can't wait to go 64 bit and use all 4GB!

Cons: None so far! Even little things like fitting it in the case went fine. If it doesn't die early I think I'll never have to put any cons here :P

Other Thoughts: I don't know how old Mushkin is but a friend recommended me to some of their RAM, and I like what I see. Might get another pair if I go 64 bit!

Pros: Fast ram runs circles around my old 4 gig g skill memory. If run two of these for 8 gig i think that it is the best 8 gig duo for the price.

Cons: Bought two between a two week period and the price rose

Rating + 5 Great quality and price!!!

Pros: The ram comes in an easy open package. The Headspeaders are more than adequate for the job and surpass other manufacturers quality. The previous crucial ballistix ram I had ran sooo hot but these run so much cooler. The 4-4-4-12 timings work great at 2.0 volts on my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Mobo with my Q9550. I have had no stability issues. Overclocking RAM doesnt do much for games or apps. In my opinion and experience running a slower memory chip with tighter timings at it's stock speed will cost you less last longer and perform great. I buy Mushkin because it's quality memory that wont fail at it's rated advertisement speed. Ive tried patriot pc 9200 ram and the 1150 mhz rating made almost no difference vs 800mhz memory. I would recomend once again stick with 800mhz with tighter timings. This ram does this perfectly.

Cons: I guess some chipsets are weird and require this ram to run at 2.1 volts at the 4-4-4-12 timings because of stability issues even though I havent experienced it.

Other Thoughts: If you feel these sticks run too hot the heatspeaders are removable and wont tear the IC's off of the board so throw some Thermaltake spirit rs memory coolers on em. I did and no more hot memory. I threw some OCZ Reaper pc6400 1gb modules in my other two dimms and believe it or not they ran dual channel interleaved with the Mushkin Ram!!! Not flex mode. RUns stable.

Rating + 5 This memory is FAST!

Pros: It sped my computer up when I upgraded from 3GB of memory to 8GB of this memory. It definitely was noticeable. Plus my memory score on Windows 7 went from 5.9 to 6.4.

Cons: I have no complaints about this memory!

Other Thoughts: My PC originally had 3GB of RAM in it and the 32bit version of Vista installed on it and it ran as good as Vista can. But lately I installed the 64bit version of Windows 7 on it. With the 3GB of RAM, Windows 7 seemed to run faster than Vista did already. But then I decided to upgrade the RAM to the max my PC can take, since I was now running a 64bit version of Windows. When I shopped around for memory NewEgg.com had the best prices. I decided to go with faster/gaming memory because the difference in price was not very huge. I have to say that now Windows 7 runs very nice and fast. I have no complaints!

Rating + 5 Great RAM

Pros: Great RAM. I tried running at the 4-4-4-12 settings and my computer seemed to not like it. Out of the box I got CAS 5 though so I couldn't complain. Went from 2 GB Corsair XMS (which I paid nearly $300 for back in 2007) to these bad boys for $49, and they scream. Too bad I'm on 32-bit Vista and only get ot use 2816 MB of them. I'm building an i7 now which will use DDR3. My specs

eVGA 780i SLI MB
E6600 Core-2 2.4 Ghz Processor
Foxconn 8800GTX OC Edition
OCZ GameXtream PSU 700W
Antec 900 Case
150GB Raptor-X HDD
Samsung 24x DVD Burner

Cons: Well I bought this thinking it would hold my urge from building a complete new system. I was wrong, now I have 50 bucks worth of RAM I'm not using, but hey, that's technology. Also it seems the price of this stuff has gone through the roof since I purchased it.

Other Thoughts: Great RAM, buy it.

Rating + 4 Good Budget Ram

Pros: Purchased 2 sets of this RAM. My computer is now running significantly faster. Good RAM at a Great Price!

Cons: Had to RMA 1 set. 1 stick of the set was loaded with errors and would cause my comp to crash. Newegg's RMA process is a thing of beauty however and recieved my replacement very quickly.

Other Thoughts: Running at 5-5-5-18. Cannot set it to 4-4-4-12 without my system crashing. This probably not the fault of the RAM, but of my MB.

Rating + 5 Nice RAM

Pros: Fast installation, looks cool, amount of time spend alt/tabbing in and out of programs has been reduced greatly. Runs great at advertised timings.

Cons: Installation made slightly more difficult because of the heat spreaders. However, I would gladly trade off the cooling ability of the heatspreaders for the installation difficulty.

Other Thoughts: I removed 2GB of DDR2 800 A-data brand RAM for this RAM. Installation was pretty easy although Mushkin does suggest you install the RAM by pushing on the extreme ends of the RAM sticks rather than the heatspreaders themselves. I was unable to put enough pressure on the ends because it was painful on my fingertips. I ended up just pushing on the heatspreaders and the RAM installed fine.

My system:

ASUS P5N-E motherboard
XFX 9800GT 512 MB video card

Pros: This ram really is - open case, place into motherboard, works like a charm. I have yet to overclock this ram but so far w/ my setup i have yet found a need to. In fact, due to the price drop from the last time when I originally purchased this RAM kit, I'm going to buy more at the cheaper price.

Cons: None that I could find.

Other Thoughts: Inexpensive ram, great results.

Pros: Excellent Price. Advertised timings runs stable @ 2.0 v. Looks nice

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I tried 2 other well known 4GB kits and neither would run @12-4-4-4. I bought these and haven't looked back since. They have been running at 800MHz since the day I got them. Not an overclocker but I have gotten up to 850 at CAS 4. I'm sure they could go higher. I bought them at more than twice what they cost now and it was still a great deal. Rating + 5 Great Ram

Pros: This RAM is great. I bought 4gbs back in September 08 and they have been running well. About 2 months ago I bought another 4gbs for a total of 8 for my current system, and I'm about to buy another 4gbs for a shuttle pc I'm putting together soon. That's how good this ram is... You pop it in and it works, no questions and no problems. If you have some knowledge with overclocking then you will have no trouble with these sticks. I'm still new at overclocking so I take it slow, but so far the RAM has worked through all that I've thrown at it.

Cons: They don't come with smiley face stickers :-)
Seriously, there are no cons... they are worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: I'm running CentOS with 8gb ram for my data/vm home server.

Pros: Very stable and works perfectly as advertised.

Cons: It doesn't clean the dust out of my case.

Other Thoughts: I've been using Mushkin RAM exclusively since I first ordered from them back in 1995 and every module that I've purchased is still functional, though several are now retired. I have a Dual P3-850 board that I use as a file server that has three 512 MB DIMM sticks that are probably 12 years old now.

Rating + 5 Can't Go Wrong !!!

Pros: This stuff is great! I have used Mushkin for my last 2 builds and haven't been disappointed. I put them in without any issues and they fired right up. Easily overclocked to 1066MHz, 2.05V, 5-5-5-18-2T. I might be able to push them to 1200Mhz like the 2 x 1Gb set I had before, but that really won't make as big a difference as a processor overclock in system performance. Good buld quality on the heat spreaders. It's ok to push on them on installation--they aren't going anywhere.

Cons: They're not DDR2-1600?? If I had a bad chip, I would be upset, but nothing wrong with these!

Other Thoughts: Before I pulled out my other set, I set the voltage to 1.95V just to make sure they fired up ok and they did. Then I set them to 2.05V and just enabled the manual timings I had for the previous pair and--voila!! Can't make it easier than that!

Pros: RAM works as advertised, easy to install.

Cons: Ordered this noticed it had free shipping, thought great was going to order it anyway. Newegg shipped it from its Memphis warehouse to St. Louis by DHL. DHL took it to their warehouse in Hebron, KY, then flew it to Kansas City, MO. where they then took it to the Post Office and mailed it!?!?!?

Took over a week to get the product, if it had been sent UPS I would have gotten it either the next day or within 2 days!

Be wary of the free shipping, expect delays.

Manufacturer Response:Greetings!

We are sorry to hear about your delays with Shipping. While NewEgg shipping is a factor beyond our control, we do still wish to ensure you enjoy your experience purchasing Mushkin from NewEgg. Please contact me directly (nick@mushkin.com) and I will see to it that you get taken care of.

Thanks for choosing Mushkin!

Rating + 4 Great Ram!

Pros: Everything works great so far! Passed every stability test i ran. Running 8GB of this on a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R (F10bios). Memory timings are at 4-4-4-12, and have it oc'ed to 900mhz.
Works great

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Very fast shipping from Newegg. This replaces my Corsair CM2x1024-6400C4 ram (it started to fail memtest, so it was time to get new ram).

Rating + 5 Incredible!

Pros: I had another brand of SLI ready 1066 RAM that I have had to RMA three times in one year! I decided to come back to Mushkin, because they have never failed me.

This RAM was recognized immediately by my ASUS M2N32 SLI Deluxe mother board as DDR800. I had the option in the Bios to choose DDR1066. I manually set the voltage to 2.1v, and put in the 4-4-4-12 timings. I then ran memtest for a few hours to make sure it was stable, and it was flawless!

Now the good part...I then went to the Jumer Free Configuration (where you set the voltage for the RAM) and selected manual for the AI Tuning, and then moved the CPU frequency to 250. I then set the CPU multiplier to 12.

This setup my Athlon X2 6000+ to the required 3.0 GHz (these CPU's do not like to go much above the rated speed, but man can you crank up the FSB!), and set the RAM to DDR1000. A 25% overclock! I ran Windows Memory Diagnostics on the advanced testing for over 8 hours without a problem. AWESOME STUFF MUSHKIN!

Cons: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I want another 4 GB's! I just do not think that my memory controller can handle 8GB's of dual channel DDR1000 RAM. I may have to back the speed down to DDR800.

BUT, that is a motherboard issue, not RAM!

Other Thoughts: I have found that the Nvidia 590 chipset does not work well with SLI ready memory above the DDR800 speed. I recommend staying away form the SLI ready stuff, and opt for proven DDR800 RAM that can be overclocked!

Choose this brand, and you will not be disappointed! Mushkin is the best!

Also, if you overclock the FSB to the 250, you must manually set the HT under the Chipset section of the Advanced page in the BIOS to 4X on all! If not, the system will become sluggish, and you will wonder if the RAM is bad, or the CPU is going bad. I tested this, and indeed the HT is CPU linked/controlled, and the HT bus does not like to go much above 1000MHz (2000MHz effective).

I really hope this helps owners of the awesome ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe! I hope that ASUS will provide a BIOS update to allow for the new Phenom 2!

Rating + 5 Performance RAM

Pros: Easily overclocked to 4-4-4-12 @ 2T with 2.0 volts. Very fast RAM, easy to install, easy to overclock on gigabyte P35-DS3L mobo. i can now easily make 30 foot plus signs in Adobe Illustrator, no problem. Vehicle lag is gone in all the games i play, everything is much more responsive.

Cons: its kind of hard to install these without pushing on the "haet spreader" as you'll be pushing down on the edges of the RAM and they'll dig into your hand pretty good before the slot latches close. still, for the money i have no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Great RAM, great performance. Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3L : Intel E8400 @ 3.6 Ghz : NVidia 8800GTX

Rating + 5 Solid.

Pros: I have been more than impressed with this RAM. Not only does it come with a Lifetime limited warranty, but it has been amazing out of the box. My motherboard (ASUS P5N-D) auto-detected the timings at 5-5-5-18 2T. I was able to bring them down to 4-4-4-12/4-4-3-10 2T and 1T @ 2.05v, easily. I ran Memtest86 v3.4 for 12 hours each time with solid results passing between 8 and 12 times with no errors.

I am currently on 4-4-3-10 1T @ 2.05v with no issues whatsoever. I am seeing the best results with these numbers, benchmarking at 69ns!!! I'm sure I could go even lower with better clocks but right now this suits me fine.

If you are a gamer or just a high-end application user this RAM will beast through everything. I have not seen a hangup yet!!!

As for temperature, the RAM stays fairly cool with the heat spreaders. They are warm to the touch under load, but as long as it's not erroring out you will be perfectly fine.

Don't underestimate the power of Mushkin. You will not regret t

Cons: None so far. Missed the Mail-In-Rebate by a week. :(

Other Thoughts: As long as I don't have any downfalls a.k.a, death. This will be the best RAM I have EVER purchased. With Mushkin offering a Lifetime limited warranty you can tell they stand behind the quality of their work.

Even if your not a pro at overclocking this RAM is a great place to start. You have plenty of room to play around with timings and get situated on what works best for you and your system.

Pros: What can I say - Installed, worked great, Rock solid and at a slightly lower voltage than the 4 gigs that they replaced..

Cons: None form me.

Other Thoughts: Replace 4 1 Gig Corsair sticks (NOTE - corsair memory was very good and I have no problems recommending them). But by replacing them I was able to drop the Dram voltage a 10th of a volt and returned my (G)mch and FSB voltage back to normal. With the 4 sticks I had to increase both (G)MCH and FSB voltage by +0.1V

Pros: Fantastic clocking, 4-4-4-12-2T @ 800MHz (2.0v), 5-5-5-15-2T @ 1066MHz (2.0v).

Cons: My setup (AMD Phenom 9950) will not run 1T command rate.

Other Thoughts: Runs over spec without a single problem. Heatsinks are large enough to dissipate heat well, yet small enough to not run into each other when side-by-side. Mushkin forums are fantastic and they regularly reply to all questions regarding their products. Highly recommended.

Rating + 5 This is still some serious memory!

Pros: It is now about 2-3 hours since my original reveiw.

I finally did a real test using Memtest86 v3.4. I started at 1066MHz, 5-4-4-12-1T with 2.1v. I gradually decreased the clock. It still failed at 970MHz even though it was far more stable. Then I dropped it down to 952MHz (it was either that, or 957, or 963), and it passed 100%, no errors. I was so happy to see that it was able to stay above 950MHz with 1T.

This is some serious RAM!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: The mushkin HP series dual-channel 2GB kit # 996533 I had before was much harder to overclock. I basically had to keep it at 800MHz if I wanted the 4-5-4-11-2T timings. And the sticks really didn't care what voltage I used whether it was 2.1 or even 2.35 and everything in between. But the 996580 kit I have now is just so amazing!! I'm really glad I had those HP's so I can see how awesome this memory really is.

I sincerely hope you buy it to experience this memory for yourself.

Rating + 5 Whoa, this is some serious memory!

Pros: 1066MHz, 5-5-5-15-1T with 2.1V. Stable. Whoa. Yeah, I'm happy. I used to have mushkin HP's (the blue ones) which were a dual-channel 2GB DDR2 800 kit (# 996533), and these XP's are noticeably much better and far easier to overclock.

Based on the reviews, I could lower my voltage. I haven't tried reducing tRCD, tRP, or tRAS yet, but I have a feeling I could do it without any problems. It just feels like there's room to go further. I really love this memory.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this knowing that I would need a 64-bit version of Windows in order to see all 4GB. The System Properties dialog box shows 2.75 GB in my system, but I really don't care! :) It's worth it.

Rating + 5 Great Memory

Pros: Great Memory. Thuogh it is not on ASUS QVL, works well on my M3A78 Mobo. Clocked to 900Mhz at 5-5-5-12, with 2 volt. Can not ask for much better!! I have used Mushkin Memory for years, on several different builds, and NEVER had any problems.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: If you use this memory with the Phenon CPU's run it in the "ungang" mode. This allowes each core to have it's own 64 bit channel to the memory. If run in "ganged" mode it will be 128 bit (2X64) and multi-cores will have to share the channels (they will have to wait there turn) and lag a little. Ganged will bench better on Sandra 09, Unganged will run smoother. I can see the differance on my PC.

Rating + 5 Great RAM

Pros: Bought my pc from Vigor Gaming with 2G Kingston ram. Upgraded to 2 x 2G Mushkin and love it. Sounds stupid, but it is even a nice looking ram. When I finally figured out how to set BIOS, autodetected EPP timings of 4 4 4 12. Has been running stable since I installed.

Cons: Don't understand why the Vista Experience on this ram is coming out to be 5.6 (everything else is 5.9). I read in another post for Corsair that the experience rating is lower on memory if you don't OC your CPU. Don't know if that is true or not.

Other Thoughts: For any dummies like me, set your SLI-Ready Memory to Enable and CPUOC MAX and the voltage in BIOS and you are good to go. I did not figure this out at first and went crazy because I could only get JEDEC # 2 (5 5 5 18) timings.

Rating + 3 Stable at stock settings

Pros: Rock stable at stock timings 5-5-5-18. No problems to get up and running.

Cons: Not able to get it stable at the advanced 4-4-4-12 timing. Tried different voltages, tried various sub-timing settings after reading various forums. No luck. Sometimes wouldn't even POST with the advanced timing settings, regularly got a (false) message that the BIOS was corrupt, or else crashed while loading Windows. Tried it in another motherboard, with the same results.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for enthusiast memory for overclocking, look elsewhere. These won't even operate stable at the advertised advanced EPP settings. The stock 5-5-5-18 settings work perfectly, otherwise I would be returning these.

Pros: worked as advertised. i had 4x1gb crucials and they started giving me errors when i ran memtest86. so i decided to get these instead. they came in, i put them in, changed voltage to 2.05v and ran 4-4-4-12 ever since!

Cons: install ram could be hard if you have small case clearance, don't want to push down on the heatsinks too hard but overall a very tiny con.

Other Thoughts: 46.99$ for 4gb? what more do you want? :)

Pros: works! lol

running at 4-4-4-12 1T @ 2.0v ..i havent seen too much ddr2 that will run stable at 1T @ 800mhz, so this is always nice :-)

for the heck of it I ran memtest86+, 8+ hrs 10 passes, 0 errors

Cons: the heat spreaders on them make it a bit difficult to install if you need to push really hard to get them in your board, especially if you dont have much clearance to get your hand in there, you have to push the edges of the modules (push on the pcb not the heat spreaders, when i was putting the 2nd one in i guess my finger was bigger then i thought and it slightly pushed the heat spreader off center on one side but it didnt seem to cause any damage and i was able to easily slide it back into place & it didnt lose contact with the chips)

Other Thoughts: had 2x1gb Crucial Ballistix ddr2 800mhz that i ran for a little more then a year then they somehow both died at the same time even tho i was running them at 0.2v under what they were rated for... waiting to get my RMA back for those but i have no use for them any longer..

they were definitly some great ram tho, 1200mhz 5-4-3-10 2T @ 2.2v, talk about flying! lol

but when they died i decided it was time to upgrade to 2x2gb and crucials new single sided ballistix i heard are pretty awful so i decided to check these out.. happy so far

havent messed around with any overclocking on these new ones, and im not really sure if im going to bother anyway, i can never notice any real world differences when overclocking ram (except 1200mhz lol) ..but it certainly did improve benchmarks, but my system is old now i dont bother with that anymore

running these in a eVGA 680i A1 w/ c2d e6600, eVGA 8800GTS 640mb, dual boot: XP Pro SP3 x86 & Vista Ultimate SP1 x64) everything else isnt really i

Rating + 5 2nd Set of this RAM

Pros: This RAM runs cool and fast. I have it overclocked to 1000 Mhz @ 5-5-5-15 using 2.150 volts. Runs flawless at this speed. I am sure I could push it to 1066, but there is no need...yet.

Cons: I no longer have one. In my prior review I cited price, but now this RAM is cheap with the rebates out now.

Other Thoughts: My previous review was done on 3/31/2008 at 5:23:37 PM. The title was "Excellent RAM" and I said I would pick up another set...and I have.

Pros: FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!! they told me what clocks i need to have my memory run as advertised on my mother board. the response to my question on there forums was in 6hrs!! its like they just scour the web looking for people with there products who need help! I was very satisfied with the information they gave me, and they even helped me choose this memory. I was gonna go with a higher DDR2 speed but they said this one was more compatible "out of the box" for my mother board.
I highly recommend this company, visit there customer support forum and you should get a timely response to your inquiry.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Mushkin needs to pay those guys on there forum more, I don't know what they pay them but it can't be enough.

Pros: Installed and tested. Auto detect set ram to specified timings as listed. 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0v
Everything is EXACTLY as advertised which is more than I can say for kingston- see other thoughts.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had kingston Hyper X ram and couldn't get it to run @ 800 speeds as it was advertised. It would only run at 667 (PC2 5300)
I tried to overclock my kingston but it wouldn't run the advertised speeds and gave me the BSOD if I tried. I read other reviews on newegg and noticed that is a trend with Kingston hyper X ram. Lots of people seem to have the same issue. I am done with Kingston.

Picked up 300 points on 3D Mark Vantage just by switching from Kingston to this ram.

Rating + 5 4GB...of Awesome!

Pros: Low price, nice timings for DDR2 800 (4-4-4-12-1T). The heat spreaders are not obnoxiously shaped or sized, yet still keep things mostly cool to the touch.

Cons: Spreader thickness will come close to other Mushkin sticks, so on certain motherboards, they will be pretty close together. Units are only as thick as the DIMM slot, though, so they will not interfere with other slot placements (unlike the eVCI models). The heat spreaders also are somewhat annoying when trying to install.

Other Thoughts: I've had at least one in my PC awhile now, and just got another to go along with 2 x 1GB Mushkin DIMMs. Mushkin's got a returning customer, as long as they can keep the quality up.

Cons: Some members have stated that they are not getting the CD for 3DMark Vantage. Newegg should update the item photos and remove the pics of the disc. The packaging includes a serial only, no CD.

Rating + 5 Awesome.

Pros: Works 100% and its fast. 2nd time buying mushkin, and I will continue to buy from them.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping as usual. Vista only recognizes 3.4gb due to it being 32 bit.

Rating + 5 Confirm 1T as well

Pros: I can confirm that this Mushkin Ram will run @ 1T - just got it last night, booted up and set to SPD defaults @ 800. Changed timing to 1T and VDIMM to 2.1V. Have not had time to tighten timings or see what clock I can get when running @ 1T.

Cons: Hate mail in rebates....

Other Thoughts: mobo: ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP

Rating + 5 Great ram

Pros: Very nice ram made by Mushkin. My first mushkin product and I am loving it. I've heard from others that mushkin makes great products and now I believe it 100%.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My Mobo didn't change the voltage it was giving my ram when I put it in from my older ones. It would be fine when I'm surfing the net but then it would blue screen while playing games. Luckily it was just user error on my part so I went and fixed the voltage and it has been working flawless since.

Rating + 5 So far, so good

Pros: Seems to be excellent RAM so far. These babies are FAST. Paired with my FX-62, they are rock solid at 4-4-4-12 1T at 816mHz FSB with the multiplier bumped up to 15X. If I left the multiplier at the stock 14 and loosened the timings a little, I hit 860FSB stable. I'd rather have the tighter timings and 1T so I left it the first way.

I am fairly sure that this is much better RAM than the above OC would indicate. The FX-62 is notorious for not having too much room to work with OC-wise. I would also imagine that with tinkering I will achieve even better timings as some others on here have managed to do.

Cons: The heat sinks are a little touchy, making it tough to insert. I couldn't get enough of the green PCB from the sides so I pushed on the silver clips in an effort to avoid dislodging the heat sink from the RAM. The clip ended up giving and I thought I had damaged the RAM. After that, I just pushed on the heat sink and the RAM inserted without a fuss - the heat sink seems to be there pretty securely.

Rating + 5 Polished

Pros: Excellent package, quality, polished presentation. Heatsinks feel solid. Running in E8400 SFF server at auto speeds. Was able to trim down timings to advertised speeds as others have posted. Came with 3d mark vantage.

Cons: I don't run vista so I can use 3d mark vantage.

Other Thoughts: I like what Mushkin has been doing for a while. This purchase reinforces that.

Rating + 4 cas latency 4 ...

Pros: Boots up great. Works fine. 4 2Gb sticks. GIGABTYPE P35-D3SL, core 2 duo 3.0ghz

Cons: I bot the cas 4 to get better timings on the memory. The MB will not show the cas 4 timings, shows cas 5. I set the timings to the spec per mushkin manually. Would not boot. I hate to pay for better memory and not have it work to spec.

Other Thoughts: I would like to find out if others had the same problem, and are there other vendors that have cas 4 that is recognized.

Rating + 5 Mushkin PC6400 DDR2 at 1T

Pros: Runs great with 2.1 volts.
Max overclock was 1000MHz at 5-5-5-10 2T.

Cons: Could only get to 838 with stock 4-4-4-12 2T timings, but if you can boot at 1T there is no reason to run it at 838 then.

Other Thoughts: WOW! I've built a lot of computers with different ram, but this stuff is AWSOME!!!! At 800MHz I can boot up at 4-4-4-10 1T. This RAM blows away my OCZ that I replaced. I read in a review that Muchkin says this ram will boot at 1T. I wrote this review with the 1T settings. I'm using an XFX 680i SLI motherboard and an Intel Q6700 running at 3.150GHz and a 1400MHz FSB.........What a sweet machine! Thanks for the great RAM Mushkin, keep up the good work!!!!

Rating + 5 Great RAM!

Pros: Installed this RAM into my GIGABTYPE EP35-D3SL, Picked it up RIGHT AWAY!! Windows booted, saw the new RAM, restarted and thats it! Vista Ultimate now shows 4.00GB of RAM. Great RAM!! Totally Fast!! Easy Install!! Nice heat spreader's.

Cons: No Pole Dancer.. :)

Other Thoughts: Be careful when you install these, push down on the SLIVER CLIPS, push down on the black, and you can possible push the heat spreaders down, and damage them.

Rating + 4 So much better than Patriot

Pros: Ran immediately in my 780i, though not at rated voltage. I'm just glad I have a stick that will post at 1.9V as opposed to my patriots that I had to post with a 1.8V stick, change to 2.2V in bios and then install. I owned cheap before, these are worth the slightly increased cost.

Cons: Heatspreaders! So I followed some guys advice where he says to only press down on the clips and not the black heatspreaders. The clip slipped down! Normally the loop on the clip is half and inch or so above the circuit board; it was flush after it slipped. I was able to fix it but beware and only press in with a pen pressing on the pcb only.

Other Thoughts: Running 4-3-3-10 @ 750, 2.1V
Manufacturer Response:Thank you for chossing mushkin. As with any installation there can be issues,
however, when installing memory you should NEVER press down on the heatsinks, this
will cause them to slip as they did for you. ALWAYS press down on the PCB sticking
out of the sides of the modules. This is the ONLY stable part of any piece of
memory whether ir be from Mushkin or another manifacturer and will work everytime
guaranteed. If you are having issues with your heatspreader due to installation
please contact us at 800.569.1868 for
support.
Thank you again for choosing Mushkin!

Rating + 5 I love this RAM

Pros: Couldn't get my E8400 stable at 4.0 GHz with my Ballistix, but these sticks make my system run as smooth as silk.. Very impressed with the overall packaging and 3dMark Vantage is a nice bonus.

Cons: UPS must have thrown the box off a cliff...
nothing bad about these sticks

Other Thoughts: They look great and are easy to install, BUY them!

Rating + 5 Good RAM

Pros: It's fast, 4-4-4-12 timings, Rebate, and 3dMark Vantage.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: I put these in my other PC to test because I don't have all the parts for my new rig yet. I had 4 sticks of 1GB in and Windows recognized only 3.25, which I understand why. But when I put these in the PC, Windows recognized all 4.

Rating + 5 A++

Pros: The Latency, the Heat shrouds, and the all out price. A must buy. I highly recommend this RAM to anyone using Vista 64. But remember! If you are installing Vista for the first time, only install 2GB! Vista will not recognize the 4GB's upon installation! After The OS is installed THEN you may add the other 2 GB's.

Cons: Cons? It didnt come with a women! But even without a women its still sexy.

Other Thoughts: Buy this, works great for timing changes. Heck you should even buy 8Gb's of this stuff.

Rating + 5 Very Cool

Pros: Running at 4-4-4-12 just like it said it would. Upped the voltage in bios. Ran memtest twice and no errors. Works great and seems way faster than the Corsair 4 gb I had in before. I paid extra for two day shipping and it came right on time. Great price at $108 plus rebate. Even the box it came in looked cool.

Cons: The 3DMark Vantage disc it comes with didn't work at all. I kept getting pop up messages about dlls and missing stuff I didn't want to deal with. There's nothing wrong with my OS. 3d Mark needs to get it together with the new Vantage. I put 3DMark 06 back on.

Other Thoughts: My rig is M3A Asus, 4 gb Mushkin, AMD 6400+ Dual Core, 8800GT. 11929 on 3DMark 06.

Rating + 5 Perfect RAM!

Pros: After deciding to use an ASUS P5E motherboard, I called ASUS and asked for their recommendation for RAM. They suggested DDR2 800. I also called Mushkin and asked which RAM they suggested for the P5E. The combination is stable and works perfectly. I ran Prime95 for 12+ hours with no errors.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My system: Antec Case P182; ASUS P5E; CPU INTEL Q9450 2.66G; Zalman 9700NT cooler; Mushkin 996580 DII800 - 2x2GB; VISIONTEK 900206 HD3850 512M; SAPPHIRE 100114 LB 9250 256M; Hard drive (3) Western Digital 640GB WD6400AAKS; Power Supply - PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W RT; DVD Samsung |SH-S223F 22X.

The system was easy to assemble and booted up with no problems. It is lightning fast and stable with XP Home SP3. I would highly recommend all components.

Rating + 5 Everything I expected

Pros: Works Exactly as advertised. Bios detected the ram properly and set the timings exactly as advertised. The default voltage was 1.8V however, I had to manually adjust it to 2.1V. Computer seemed stable even when it was at 1.8V, I just like to run things at their spec. I upgraded my computer to Windows Vista 64 bit and all is well. After memtest there appears to be no bad bits. Everything works perfectly with this ram. My computer is rock stable after running for nearly 2 weeks now with this ram. I am extremely satisfied and I will be purchasing another set.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: A bit on the tall side but the heat sinks are rounded off on the top making it easy on your hands to install. I have always had better experience with Muskin than Corsair, Patriot and Giel. I've had 1 bad stick of patriot, 1 corsair, and 1 Giel stick failed to work at the advertised timings. Mushkin just works as it says it does. Thumbs up here.
