WELL WORTH FOR 32 bit!
Pros: 4GB kit kicks in dual-channel symmetrical RAM on Dual Core Duo (not even Core 2 Duo) and Vista Rating Index shot up from 2.5 to 3.3!! Had 1GB/2GB before, 32 bit may not use all 4GB, but there's more to the story.
Cons: Zero. Even runs cooler.

Works Great - Dell 1501
Pros: I was going to 'cheap out' initially when upgrading my ram but then I came to my senses and I spent the extra 10 bucks and went with Crucial due to their outstanding track record for quality..
If you own a Dell 1501 laptop you will appreciate the fact that YES the Dell 1501 WILL take 4GB (2gb in each slot) and make use of it all if you're running a 64-bit OS (Win7)
Cons: NONE YET
Other Thoughts: Glad it works with my Dell 1501, contrary to what I read on some random posts elsewhere..

Works great in mac mini
Pros: Works great, no issues after 9+ months of use.
Cons: DDR2 is on its way out, and price continues to go up. Glad I got it when (and as cheap as) I did.
Other Thoughts: Installed in a 2007 1.83 GHz mac mini. Opening and getting to the RAM was a pain, but the Crucial RAM was easy to install and recognized upon startup. Has worked great since installing in May '09.

Works Great in an HP nc6400
Pros: Works just fine in my HP nc6400 notebook running Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit. Windows reports 4GB installed with 3.37 GB usable.
Laptop appears to run faster after upgrading from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM. The crucial memory replaced the factory HP Samsung RAM. I was very happy to be able to get this before the price went up just after I ordered it. I got it for $83.99 and free Egg Saver shipping on 1/15/10, and now I noticed it is $93.99 with $5.99 standard shipping. New Egg is great! All of my purchases with them have been a great experience. If I were to have purchased the memory for this laptop from the Crucial website, I would have had to pay $117.00 for it, so I saved $33.00. Crucial makes some quality memory. Installing it in the nc6400 was relatively easy.
Cons: As other reviewers have written, taking the memory out of its package without damaging it was challenging to say the least! It took considerably more time to get it out of the packaging then it did to install it. Just be patient and careful. I used a single edge razor blade to open the packaging and then kind of pushed down on the plastic surrounding the chips to release them from its hold.

Fantastic Product!
Pros: Affordable, fast, and compatible. Excellent performance so far, after a month of use.
Cons: The RAM was surprisingly difficult to remove from the actual packaging. I was somewhat worried I was going to damage the chips in an effort to free them from the sturdily-built (and difficult to cut) plastic packaging.
Other Thoughts: I installed 4GB (3.8GiB, but who's counting?) of this RAM into my Dell Inspiron 1520 notebook running Ubuntu Linux, and it has performed excellently. I notice a significant improvement in my ability to multitask and run computationally-intensive software. This product is highly recommended. No problems to-date.

My laptop runs faster with this RAM.
Pros: Bought this during Black Friday to replace two unmatched DDR2 SO-DIMMs (the original 1 GB Samsung and a 1 GB Corsair Value that I added last spring). The memory passed multiple consecutive runs of memtest, and the laptop (a Lenovo ThinkPad R61i bought from Newegg in 2008) under Windows XP had an added spring and a zip to it. I couldn't be happier...well, I could upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows that could see all 4 GB (the hardware can see all of it, but 32-bit Windows XP) but I don't particularly feel the need to do so right now.
Cons: None that I can think of.
No heat spreaders (but who cares).
Other Thoughts: Always buy good memory.
We use a mixture of Corsair XMS, Kingston HyperX, Patriot, and Crucial/Micron in my family, almost all of it bought right here on Newegg.

Works great
Pros: Works great in my wife's Dell Inspiron 1420. These days all systems need 4GB, and it made a tremendous difference in both Vista and Win7.
Cons: I wish all memory had free shipping, it can't cost much to ship something so light.
Other Thoughts: To Newegg's credit they got it here fast.

Pros: Works fine. Put it in my Dell Inspiron 1505 and it's working great. I upgraded from two gigs and the boost is noticeable.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: According to the specs my Dell is only supposed to hold a max of two gigs. But my processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo (64bit), so I was able to put the four gigs in. Now the only problem is that my 32-bit Windows XP OS only recognizes 3.25 gigs... Still worth the money. Good memory.

Pros: I put this RAM in an early 2008 MacBook Pro (MacBookPro4,1, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) and it has so far been working fine. The installation was fairly easy, except it required a little more pressure to seat the modules than what it takes. The system recognizes all 4 GB. We will be ordering more of these for our other MacBook Pros.
Cons: I had to RMA the first set of RAM modules I received and this is the reason I took off a point on my rating.
Other Thoughts: First off, Newegg was quick to replace them as usual. With the first set of modules I received and installed, the Mac would not boot unless a single new module was paired with one of the old modules. By themselves (both modules or each one individually), the computer did not boot. I was quite baffled, and at first I thought I purchased the wrong RAM (RAM that was too fast and was down clocking to the old RAM when paired together). I double checked everything to make sure I ordered the correct product and then RMA'ed the sticks.

DISAPPOINTED
Pros: Easy to install. simple.
Cons: Tried installing on my mb 2.2 ghz(late '07) only got black screen. tried leaving in 1 and it did work. computer saw 1 mod, however for some reason doesn't work with both mods. call Crucial and was told that i need different revision model form my laptop. makes no since to me that one would work but not both. disappointed since i placed order on sat. and had to wait till wed to receive and not working
Other Thoughts: going to try a different manufacture and sees what happens from there.

Works flawlessly in MBP
Pros: Not much too it. Installed it, works great, twice as much ram in a Mac makes development a lot faster.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: Do yourself a favor for working on any laptop and get a really nice set of small screwdrivers. Using the wrong one can strip the heads on these so easily.

good :)
Pros: like it easy to install; comes packaged nicely. Runs with no problems etc.
Cons: the first batch i picked up one of the 2 sticks were defective but the people at newegg were more than glad to replace it for me :)
Other Thoughts: money wise its worth it; dell staples best buy sell the same stick but 2gig for 64 $$ where i live and i picked up the kit of 2 2gig ones for the same price so win win.

Superb
Pros: - Great installation. Went in easily, but was very firmly seated. Didn't worry that I was going to break anything, and new right away that it was in there good. - Great performance, more of what you'd expect from Crucial. - Didn't have to mess with a thing. Snapped them in, and all systems were a go, tests went without a hitch and all programs recognized and utilized it perfectly.
Cons: Only that my laptop supports a max of 4GB, otherwise I would have stuffed the thing full of this RAM.
Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck. Sure, there's cheaper, but you get what you pay for with electronics.

Good memory
Pros: Reasonably cheap. Runs VISTA programs faster, Vista 32 OS. Free shipping, and VERY quick at that (about 2days).
Cons: Not free, but $20 cheaper than Kingston. Tough to open laptop case, and about 7screws to lose in the process. Tougher to open Crucial's package.
Other Thoughts: EASY upgrade for my ACER Extensa 5420 laptop (super cheapo BB model). Easier to install than it was to get out of the package. Startup & every program seems to run a bit faster (as I'd expect). Newegg service great as always (even to Afghanistan)!

very happy until blue screen
Pros: noticeable improvement in multitasking and games
Cons: got the blue screen of death after a moth of having them in there Alienware m9750 upgraded from original 1GB (2x512MB) PC2-5300
Other Thoughts: Dont know if it was the memory or not but when I got the blue screen of death it told me to undo any recent software or hardware changes that I have done (or something of that nature). Now my comp wont even get past the loading screen and if it does i get abunch of red dots or columns of green dots in groups of three (||| ||| |||) *kinda like the matrix*

My Mac mini Core 2 Duo loves these
Pros: Works perfectly on my MB139LL/A; no problems seen yet. Much less expensive than the Mac-specific parts from other places.
Cons: This Mac mini can only use 3 GB of the 4 GB; I got the matched pair for maximum performance. But that's not the fault of the memory.

Pros: Installed without issue on my new-ish (not unibody) Macbook Pro. All fully recognized, absolutely no problems. Install was easy.

It's RAM.
Pros: I bought it because a 512 MB stick was broken and I wanted to upgrade my RAM on my laptop. Cheap and effective.
Cons: None. Just remember that you need a 64-bit OS to take advantage of all 4 gigs.

MACbook PRO 3,1
Pros: Cheap price, Runs cooler than stock and makes a night and day difference between the stock 2gigs and 4 gigs.
Cons: Cant Say nething BAD! does what it should for a great price
Other Thoughts: I have bought 4 gig kits for all of my laptops and this one was the cheapest and runs the coolest of all the kits i have bought: which are OCcooling, Corsair, Kingston, and now Crucial, works great in my MacBook Pro 3,1 with 2.66Ghz Dual core 17" just plugged in and MAC OSx automaticaly recongized it and that was it, ne1 looking to upgrade there mac this is the best performance upgrade you can get for your Buck!!!
Very easy to install almost ne1 with half a brain can install it them selves... only four screws and removing the battery is all you neeed to do!

4GB is better tan 2GB
Pros: Improves performance.
Cons: Why is laptop memory more expensive than desktop memory?
Other Thoughts: First impression was that there was very little performance boost. Then I went to shut down the laptop and realized how many programs I had left running, and never saw the swapping delays I did with only 2GB installed.

Best Ram, Best Deal
Pros: Great Seller (NewEgg), Excellent Ram, Great company: Wonderful combination.
Simple installation, no memory errors. Easy to upgrade on Dell XPS M1330. My Dell Laptop saw the RAM and had no issues. My XPS recognized whole 4GB successfully.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: NewEgg is always best choice to buy things for great deals and great products. For Ram products, I strongly recommend Crucial, offcourse with NewEgg :)

Crucial memory upgrade
Pros: Worked on Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop without a hitch.
Cons: Umm, Newegg shipped it to me in an ENVELOPE. Seriously? An envelope?! I guess I am just lucky the modules didn't sustain torsional damage or break while in the mail.
Other Thoughts: MAKE SURE you have service pack II installed in windows vista-32 in order for the full 4 gigs to be recognized. If you do not do this, the OS will only recognize a little over 3 gigs.

Easy upgrade to '07 MBP
Pros: Installed this kit into a 15" 2.4gHz Macbook Pro (2007), moving from the factory 2GB to the maximum for this series of MBP of 4GB. The install was easy (order kit, greet UPS at the door, open packaging, pull the battery, remove three 00 Phillips screws, swap SODIMMs, put it back together, drink coffee, watch the blinkin' lights). The system recognized the memory without hesitation, as it should be and as I hoped for.
Running SPSS 17 stats software (Spectra module) appeared faster, particularly the load time, though I didn't think to time the earlier operations, and can't give solid numbers. Since that is a primary application for this particular system, I used it as an informal benchmark. Your mileage may vary.
Anyway, for the low cost and pleasantly easy process involved in the upgrade, this upgrade seems worth it.
Cons: Only con: That I didn't do this a few months ago, as this turned out to be fairly effortless.

So far so good in my MBP 2.2GHz
Pros: Inexpensive memory, but was well packaged and good customer support.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Upgraded my MBP 2.2GHz machine from 2GB to 4GB. Easily done and so far it is working well. OS X recognized the memory and the machine runs better now, especially when my VMware XP is running.

Works great in a Gateway M153S
Pros: Got this RAM to upgrade my wife's Gateway M153S to the maximum. A little trouble installing but that was my fault. Works great - not a single problem.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Newegg is my most trusted site for computer hardware. I find the ratings very helpful and use them in deciding between competing products. Prices are great as well as shipping. Thanks Newegg!

Stinking XP, good RAM
Pros: Acer Aspire 4530 recognized all 4 gigs, match for stock Samsung RAM, or at least close enough.
Cons: vid RAM supposed to be dedicated, was hoping that I would get 3.25 avail in XP while still being able to use max RAM for vid, seems the MB allocates the first 256 to vid, then the OS gets the rest, kinda backward to my way of thinking. XP only seeing 3, with 2.75 usable.
Other Thoughts: Replaced the second stick with the 1 g it cam with so as to not waste the extra space, put the other in my fiancee's Dell Latitude D530, also a near perfect match to ProMOS stick, add to onboard 512 for 2.5 usable on hers. Too bad her video is lacking :) Time will tell for longevity, but I have no doubts about Crucial's quality and service.

Great Service/Great Product
Pros: Ordered the 4GB (2x2GB) memory upgrade for my new laptop. Only came with 2GB. Received new memory in 2 days. Installed immediately and everything has been running perfectly. Easy to install, no restart problems. Computer recognized new memory instantly. Makes running VISTA so much faster.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Why do new computers come with 2GB of memory and VISTA when memory is so inexpensive? Need at least 3-4 GB.

It works
Pros: It works in my Santa Rosa based HP dv6700t CTO laptop. I went from 2 GB and maxed it out at 4 GB with this dual channel kit.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This memory is manufactured by Micron and is so identified by SPD. The timings and voltage were an exact match for the stock memory.

Exactly what I wanted
Pros: Exactly as expected!
Cons: You need a 64-bit to see it all on Windows.
Other Thoughts: Some laptops may not be compatible with this much RAM. Manufacturers don't always report the correct maximum RAM supported in laptops (this may vary depending on the laptop). Works fine in Compaq v6030US which is supposed to max out at 2GB.

Good Value
Pros: Great Value. Ordered and shipped very quickly. Speed up my sluggish Acer Aspire 5570z
Cons: Computer wouldn't accept full 4 GB. I realized that crucial's system scan identified my computer incorrectly (Acer 5570). This model can handle up to 4 GB.
Other Thoughts: Overall great purchase. Will order from Newegg again.

good ram
Pros: Great ram for those of you who just need that little boost in speed, whether it be for gaming or you just want those web pages to load a little faster. Installation is a piece of cake, I'd definatly buy this ram again.
Cons: vista 32-bit only recognizes 3.454 gigs of ram, but it's really not that big of a deal.

great buy from newegg
Pros: It was my first time upgrading my own RAM and yes, it was really easy, plug and play... I had no problem with it... works as it should. MacBook 3,1 can only use 3GB, but still able to recognize 4GB, I used this pair rather than buying 1GB + 2GB. I didn't have any problem afterwards, was able to use Aperture and Final Cut Express with ease compared to the really sluggish 2GB I started with. I'm a happy camper.
Cons: can't think of any at the moment... will get back once I have one. If you don't hear from me at all? Good afternoon, good evening and Good Night!
Other Thoughts: I work as an RN (and not in any tech-field job) and replacing and chosing my own hardware has been a breeze, again it doesn't take a genius to do so...

Excellent Value
Pros: Solid product and excellent value for your money. Installed into HP notebook without any issues. Of course in order for the "OS" to fully take advantage of 4Gb of RAM it must be 64-bit.
Cons: Absolutely none
Other Thoughts: I've been purchasing products from new egg for awhile now and have never had a single RMA issue. Great prices and quality products New Egg. For value and quality components I suggest choosing New Egg.

Pros: Works flawlessly in my black MacBook despite it only "supporting" 2GB, 3GB is available but it retains the performance of having symmetric dual channels

Ram Upgrade for a Dell Inspiron 1525
Pros: Installed easily in my Dell Inspiron 1525. There were no problems recognizing the 4GB but Vista only can see only cuz of the 32bit os sees only 3.5GB. Newegg was cheaper then other sites i was on.
Cons: None as I see so far with my laptop
Other Thoughts: Would buy again. Love doing biz with newegg cheap and great prices :)

Memory Upgrade for a Dell Inspiron 1525
Pros: Installed easily in my Dell Inspiron 1525. There were no problems recognizing the 4GB upgrade but Vista only can utilize 3.5GB. Notable increase in speed overall. Major pro was that Newegg was cheaper (even though I paid shipping when Crucial offered it for free) than buying direct from Crucial which I usually do. These modules snap in place easily with little force so be gentle.
Cons: None really other than it would be nice to utilize all 4GB of the upgrade but im still in the 32 bit world. Other con is the memory is a little hard at first to sometimes get out of the packaging it ships in so take care when removing it.
Other Thoughts: Would for sure buy again for anyone who needed me to perform an upgrade on they're laptop if they were not comfortable doing it themselves. Crucial in my opinion is one of the top quality brands in RAM. Your always safe with RAM from them.

Great RAm
Pros: This ram was a very good deal and worked great in my Dell 1520. It is was easy to install, as any ram and I didn't get any bad chips.
Cons: None, this ram is great
Other Thoughts: Vista recongizes about 3.8 gb's of ram, that is because it is 32, a 32 bit system can recognize up to 4gb of memory between video memery and ram, so 3.8 is what mine would end up being. Great ram at a great price.

Nice and easy
Pros: Easy to install, shipped quickly, no compatibility problems with my Alienware laptop, new memory was recognized immediately upon startup.
Cons: none

Great purchase, of course
Pros: Easy install, the best upgrade for the price.
Cons: Of course, no Santa Rosa chipset, but that is not the RAM's fault!
Other Thoughts: Installation was a snap in the Macbook Pro 2.33. Registered as 4gb in System Information but only uses 3.3gb. But that is OK! I guess I am sort of a symmetrical kind of guy, so I had to purchase 4 instead of 3gb.

For Acer Extensa 4630
Pros: Bought this to upgrade 2 Acer Ext. 4630 laptops from 2 GB of RAM to 4 GB. You only need one chip per unit (about $20) since laptops come w/ 1 2 GB chip and an empty slot.. Noticable performance / speed increase.
Cons: Zilch - zero - none
Other Thoughts: Works great with the Acer Extensa 4630. For under $500 you can have a dual core laptop w/ 4 GB of RAM. It's not a Dell and you can't get it in yellow or pink but it'll run just as fast and you can spend the 400 bucks you saved on other toys!!!

Good for the Price
Pros: very good memory for the price. Made a huge difference in my satellite.
Cons: Newegg shipping is crazy. Went from DHL then to the USPS and took about a week. It went New jersey to Georgia and then back to NC???
Other Thoughts: Added this with a new hard drive and my 1.6 dual core really woke up. It is better than when it was new from factory.

Great RAM
Pros: Great RAM price (on sale), worked with a notoriously picky notebook (Acer 5102WLMi with most recent BIOS update), great brand.
Cons: Blister packaging.
Other Thoughts: Being curious, I tried one stick on my Panasonic CF-29, But since it is limited to 1.5GB RAM, it obviously did not pass POST.

Good to go
Pros: Clear visible packaging to see what you get. Installs easily, well that's your job. Vista actually recognizes it all and says I have 4.0Gb RAM. Noticable decrease in start up time.
Cons: What to do with the old RAM?
Other Thoughts: Many feedback responses mentioned that Vista would only recognize 3.5Gb of laptop memory. Shouldn't have paid too much attention to that. Can definitely endorse the paired-RAM theory though. At these prices buy a twin pack and enjoy the speed.

accidental order
Pros: The ram worked fine. No problems to report.
Cons: None that has been reported to me.
Other Thoughts: Put this ram in my cart and had planned on deleting it since I dind't need 200pin ram, but forgot to cancel it when I ordered. Fortunately, a buddy of mine needed some ram for his laptop and this fit the bill. We worked a deal and he's got four times as much ram as he had before. It all worked out in the end.

So far so good
Pros: Works in my Dell Inspiron e1705. Very cheap for what your getting.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: The Dell website says the the limit on my laptop is 2gb but that it will support 2gb sticks. So i figured whats to lose. Even if only one of the sticks works i can still use one and sell the other. But it holds both sticks and the bios sees 3347 mb of memory and the OS sees 3.25 GB so bonus for me. It wouldnt be any use to try and install a 64bit OS as since the bios only sees 3.3 gb the OS wouldnt see the full 4gb anyway. But at least i have 3 gb of memory now.

Great price
Pros: Great price, Easy upgrade. Works well on my Toshiba Satellite P105-6217. Installation was plug and play.
Cons: On standard shipping, DHL tendered the package to the US Mail once it got within 100 miles of my adress at which point I lost tracking capabilities.
Other Thoughts: I installed the memory, rebooted and Vista recognized it at the full 4 Gig. I did a reformat a couple days later and Vista only reported it at 3 Gig. After about 3-6 Windows upgrade sessions, Vista regocnized it at the full 4 Gig again.

RAM update
Pros: Really helped my Inspiron #1405 with Vista. I went from 1 GB to 4 GB (3.4 GB is recognized). I don't know a lot about computers, but I was told with Vista a lot of background programs are running and more than 3.4 GB is recognized; only Vista tells you the available GB after Vista takes what it needs. Either way update and you'll be very happy. A blog page I found said Vista needs at least 2 GB to run properly.
Cons: Only con is the Dell Inspiron laptops, you have to remove the keyboard. It's not much of of a con really. Dell and others put one DIMM card in a slot underneath the keyboard and the other in a pocket accessed from the bottom of the laptop. Reason is heat. The one on the bottom is isolated and in a large hole so heat transfers ok. The one underneath the keyboard dissipates heat through the keyboard.
Other Thoughts: Great investment to make your laptop, esp ones running Vista, operate at peak performance.

Pros: Works as it should, to bad the notebook didn't want to recognize all 4GB. Tried the sticks individually and they worked no problem so memory is good the notebook did not want to work Acer Aspire 9300. The manual says 4GB is possible but apparently not.
Cons: Nope
