best bang for your buck
Pros: Cheap stable ram, that runs cool and oc's nicely
Cons: was cheaper but all memmory prices have gone up
Other Thoughts: -They don't have heatspreaders but they don't need them, they're cool to the touch even when OC'd. - I've had this kit on my Gigabyte UD3R for almost a year now and I've never had any problems. - I have them OC'd to 1728 MHz 9-9-9-25 with stock voltage 1.5v. If you can't OC them past 1333 it's not the ram's fault.

Stable ram!
Pros: Once again Crucial comes in with some very stable ram
Cons: No heatspreader but for the price for 6 gigs of it I suppose it comes with the territory. Either way my machine has been up for a week straight playing numerous instances of Modern Warfare 2 without hiccup!

Fast cheap ram
Pros: Wow, pluged it in and it worked, never had any problems with crucial before. Good ram for a stock Dell XPS, if your gonna overclock i would get heatsinks.
Cons: No heat sink
Other Thoughts: Cant think of any......

Not Compatible with GA-EX58-UD4P
Pros: Newegg's service! I had ordered all the pieces I would need for a new computer and was then called up to assist in the Presidential Inauguration. So the pieces arrived and I had to fly out before trying it out. When I got back and put everything together I was pretty disappointed to find that it was not working. I called GIGABYTE's tech line for help and they suspected that the motherboard was bad, and if it wasn't that then the CPU was bad. So I RMA'd it and Newegg was cool to replace it. Well, that didn't work, so I RMA'd the i7 and Newegg was understanding. That didn't work either and I was getting pretty irritated by that point and well beyond the standard return policy window. I searched around and found that there were a lot of recent posts about how this memory didn't seem to play nicely with my board. So I have to say THANK YOU NEWEGG! They were very understanding and refunded my memory so that I could purchase something that worked.
Cons: My computer would just loop by powering up for 3 seconds and then resetting. No beeps, no contraindicating LEDs. It would not POST. No BIOS screen. The memory itself may be great. I wouldn't know.

inexpensive and overclockable
Pros: Great memory, i raised the speed to 1333 no problems, the chips are not hot to the touch under load. Buy 2!
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: No heatsinks, though they can be added, not a big deal

Working well
Pros: Cheap. Stable right now OC'd to 1466 with a DFI x58 JR mobo and core i7 920 OC'd to 3.59ghz.
Cons: Nothing so far.
Other Thoughts: Many thanks to Oceansider's review below re the core i7 920 automatically downclocking your ram to 1066. This was a very good fit for me.

I'm being Crucially honest
Pros: Easily overclocked to 1600mhz, Runs stable, cheaper then the competition and does the exact same. No matter what sticks of ram you buy, if you are using it for the I7 its going to default to 1066, so you'll have to over clock regardless. I heard people are having issues with the gigabyte board. tough break I'm using a ASUS P6T deluxe and it working fine. Also something worth noting I'm at 4.0ghz with the stock cooler plus HT enabled, so yea, what. being cheap pays off after all. I didnt need all those fancy heatsinks after all.
Cons: It cannot be converted into an Avatar through USB cables, but sometimes stuff like that cannot only be talked about in real life.
Other Thoughts: AMtel I7 920 Asus P6t Deluxe 8800gtx 3 DDR3 (this ram right)

2 Bad Sticks out of 3
Pros: Small. Cheap. Good reviews otherwise.
Cons: Bad performance. Took me 45 days to discover that I had 2 bad sticks of RAM! Now the return period is over and I only have 1GB of working RAM.
Other Thoughts: It's the first thing I should have replaced but I concentrated so hard on the drivers, video card, BIOS and physical connections on the rig that I just built that I didn't REALLY think something as simple as the RAM could be the problem.

Works pretty well for me
Pros: Inexpensive Worked just fine on my GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R. Make sure you flash your bios if you have that board.
Cons: Wouldn't run when OCed to 1666 Scored mediocre on some benchmarks
Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck.

Bad Recommendation
Pros: Probably works well in something
Cons: On Crucial's website, it shows this memory to be compatible with the Gigabyte EX58-UD3R.
I beg to differ.
Other Thoughts: Ended up RMA'ing this memory (after first RMA'ing my board) -- All three sticks can't be bad, right? Well, probably not bad, just incompatible. Ended up replacing with Corsair XMS3 1333 kit, which works great.
Don't take your chances ordering this if you have a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

Did not work with UD3R
Pros: Price...I guess
Cons: Did not work with my Gigabyte EX58 UD3R motherboard. If you use this board...get something different.

good basic ram
Pros: low price. some other low end 1066 ram use higher timings so good bang for the buck
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: Works well at stock speed on the Biostar TPower X58 motherboard. Waiting on a new cpu cooler to overclock.

Revised Review
Pros: Good basic memory cheap
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: This is a revision of my previous review in which I stated that this does not work with the Gigabyte EX58-UD3R. The memory actually does work just fine. In debugging my issues, I found a single bent pin on the CPU socket on the board that was causing one stick to not be recognized. After aligning the pin in the socket, everything worked just fine. Memory is rock solid... not an overclocker, but good basic RAM.
If anyone is having issues, check the CPU socket carefully... it took some tedious work to find that single out-of-line pin. I wonder if Gigabyte had a run of these and this is what is causing people issues with their x58 boards.

DOES NOT WORK WITH GIGABYTE EX58-UD4P
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Received ram looked like it would work with my I7 920 setup, turns on for 1 second then reboots over and over and over, Gigabyte MB owners beware!!

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Won't work with Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
Other Thoughts: Tried using this on a second build with a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R motherboard, and the board only sees 2 out of the 3 sticks even though it detects all three sticks. Another user posted an issue with the UD3R motherboard, so I guess the two are not compatible. Strange, since I have used this exact same kit on a Gigabyte EX58-UD5 board with zero issues.

great but not excellent
Pros: Very stable at stock clocks works exactly as advertised good value for the money in an i7 build works with EVGA x58 sli this board automatically overclocks a little
Cons: overclocking hasnt been very successful but this is kind of to be expected with no heat spreader couldnt reach 1333 on 1.525 volts might try higher later if i feel comfortable with the extra heat

Take Caution!
Pros: Great price. Has gotten good reviews. Crucial is a good manufacturer.
Cons: WILL NOT WORK WITH GIGABYTE EX58-UD3R!
I figured it would because Tom's Hardware used it in a build with a Gigabyte X58 board and gave it great reviews. But mine would not POST with this RAM! Tried one stick, tried different slots, nothing.
Other Thoughts: Definitely stick to RAM on the 'approved RAM list' of your Motherboard manufacturer! This doesn't really matter for older P45 type boards, but I guess with the new X58 stuff, it really does!

great ram
Pros: very fast ram, this is an amazing change from my ddr2 800mhz ram, which is nothing compared to this. very fast, and getts the job done for a great price, i recomend this ram kit for people who want a lot of speed but have a budget.
Cons: needs heatsinks put on the moduals.
Other Thoughts: 4870, 17 920, EVGA x58, 3 gigs dd3 tripple channel 1066, 320 gb hdd, 850 watt powersupply

Works Like It's Supposed To
Pros: This is the speed that the new Intel Core i7 automatically defaults the RAM to (except for the 965). So why bother paying more? When I bought it, it was the cheapest DDR3 1066 triple channel kit available.
Cons: Even when going in BIOS and changing the multiplier to 5 from 4, it won't go to DDR3 1333 speeds. That might be the mobo's fault (MSI X58 Platinum), but I have no way to test it. This is in no way a con, as I knew its speeds before I bought it.
Other Thoughts: I plan on buying another pack when I upgrade to a 64bit OS.

Basic DDR3 for x58
Pros: *Zero issues on first boot
Cons: *none as of yet
Other Thoughts: This is pretty basic DDR3 memory that can be used for an x58 build. It will overclock to 1333 speeds without an issue. Once prices on DDR3 come down, it will probably get swapped out for 2GB sticks.
The build it went into:
- Lian-Li PC-7B plus II case - Thermaltake W0105RU 700W PSU - Samsung SATA DVD Burner - Seagate SATA 500GB HDD - Intel Core i7 920 - Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 - Crucial 3x1GB DDR3 SDRAM - Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 - Vista Home Premium 64-bit
