Other Thoughts: Avoid EGG SAVER Shipping. Shipping from NJ to CT took over 10 days from pick up to delivery. Egg saver shipping also cost $2.99. UPS shipment normal takes no more than 2 days.

Pros: Great price works well, Patriot does it again works great. This ram is good for my cheap toshiba laptop ran it on mem test to 640 percent (forgot i left it on overnight)

Cons: gets a bit hot (enough to cook an egg on the bottom of my laptop)

Other Thoughts: besides the heating up its a great stick of ram for the price corsair is a bit more pricey but then again they are the top memory company

Rating + 5 Patriot 2GB RAM !!


Pros: I bought this for my Acer Aspire one D-250 netbook to replace the stock 1 GB.
* Great Customer Support, Patriot Rocks.
* Fast
* Compatible with my netbook
* Cheap
* Easy to deal with
* Works great with Linux.
* The BIOS reads it correctly.
* Did well on memtest

Cons: * Gets much hotter than original RAM
* Very hot when under RAM-intensive tasks
* EXTREMELY hot when when virtualizing Operating Systems in VirtualBox

Other Thoughts: It works, and has improved Ubuntu and Arch Linux boot time and performance under compiz and Virtualbox to an mazing degree. Only downside is heat. I am very experienced with computers and the RAM was installed correctly. It's not enought to be an issue, and maintains a decent temperature until I do something that takes up more than 50 %. Then it heats up. Overall though it is a good buy for price, performance, stability and compatibility ans I highly recommend it to anyone unless your computer does not vent heat well.

Pros: Good price on name brand ram.

Cons: First stick was defective.
Had to pay to have it shipped back to Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to upgrade my wifes Aspire One netbook from 1 gig.I pooped it in and windows booted.Then went to properties to make sure win 7 saw the 2 gig.Then came the dreaded bsod. Went back and forth between the original memory and the new and it became obvious the new ram was bad.
First time I have ever gotten bad ram out of the box.Got rma new stick in today and netbook is running great.

Pros: I bought two sticks, one for each of our new Netbooks. Patriot has never let me down in the past, so they were my first pick. Pop out the old sticks, pop in the new ones, and all is well in Netbook heaven!

Pros: Got this for my Acer Aspire One 10.1" screen model and the difference is like night and day. Startup is twice as fast and Firefox freezes no more.

Other Thoughts: Be sure that when you upgrade the RAM that you don't forget to delete any restoration data on your previous RAM or it will screw things up until you plug in the old RAM and delete the restoration data...

Pros: Price was right. Works as advertised. Have bought/used Patriot a lot over the years, never had any trouble. Good quality control.

Cons: I have nothing bad to say. If I did, I would.

Other Thoughts: I installed this in an Acer Aspire One AO751h-1948 Netbook, the one with the 11.6" display. I had previously switched the stock OS from Windows xp to Windows 7 Pro. Going from 1GB to 2GB makes a nice difference, the little machine freezes no more. Got the netbook new at a supermarket, for $250.

Other Thoughts: Was not sure it would work with my Dell Inspiron 6400. Dell says the max memory is 2GB total. I installed one of these with my existing 1GB chip and now I have 3GB. I needed the upgrade to run Windows 7. I have already ordered a second one to get 4GB RAM.

Pros: I just upgraded my dell Inspiron E1505 from 1+1GB to use one 2GB+1GB. Worked well right out of the box and within 5 minutes I was on 3GB with windows vista 32bit home premium. I will be upgrading to Win 7 / 64-bit prof, so hopefully I will be able to 4GB, so ordering an other one!

Pros: Worked on Lenovo X60 tablet 6366-4DU running in tandem with preexisting stock 512 samsung module yielding total of 2.5 GB Ram in windows XP.

Cons: I had to use a butter knife to unscrew the screws to my laptop because I couldn't find a small enough screwdriver. I found one 5 minutes later after I had already stripped the screws.

Pros: It was really easy to install. I installed it into my Asus 1000HE before I even turned on the computer and it registered in the BIOS immediately. It seems to be plenty fast and does what its supposed to.

Cons: The packaging it came in was not impressive in how it kept it safe. They shipped the computer and RAM seperately and when i opened it up the ram had fallen off the paper and was on the side of the box. Not impressive but it worked nonetheless.

Other Thoughts: i have patriot ram in my desktop and it seems to work great. certainly no complaints. i bought this ram because it had free shipping and a $5 off rebate. havent sent in the coupon but hopefully the rebate will come quickly

Rating + 1 Compatibility? Epic Fail.


Pros: It didn't spit in my face.

Cons: Despite explicitly being listed as compatible with my Lenovo ThinkPad T60 Type 8744-5BU on their web site, it appears that it's not. Either that or I managed to purchase two modules that failed MemTest in the exact same manner - something possible but extremely improbable.

Other Thoughts: It looks like Patriot's taking the same "throw it against the wall and see if it sticks" methodology for compatibility "validation" used by some of the other less-reliable players in the field. I'll avoid their products in the future and suggest you do the same. It's too bad; all things being equal I'd rather buy American-made memory.

Pros: NewEgg has approved my replacement request and I'm looking forward to receiving a new memory module that is in working order.

Pros: I bought this ram for my Asus EEE PC 1000H. Popped the ram in and it works perfectly. I have been running this ram now for the last 7 months and no issues. Great buy!

Rating + 5 EEE PC upgrade


Pros: Good laptop memory at an amazing price with the rebate. I used this to replace the 1gb stick of ram in my EEE pc 901, and the ram is recognized and has made a lot of processes faster including boot up. This is needed if you put some type of anti virus software on your eee pc, at least if you want to get back the 15 sec boot.

Other Thoughts: Patriot memory is great, I own a few of their usb flash drives and more ram and they all work flawlessly and come at a great price. Great company.

Rating + 5 Good RAM, Bad delivery


Pros: Put 4 gig in my HP 6885SE, turned it on, recognizes all 4 gig. No burps, hiccups or " I don't like that". Good price for good ram. Have used Patriot in a couple of desktops but this the first laptop RAM. So far so good.

Cons: Bad brown truck, Package made it to the local facility but took 3 more days to make it to my driveway. 5 day total not including the weekend. Not Neweggs fault though.

Other Thoughts: Got this stick 7 mos. ago. Stuck it in my laptop and tested using MS memory test software. No faults found. Has been performing flawlessly in my laptop ever since.

Pros: Needed to Upgrade the ram in my laptop so i ran a search and decided this was the best buy. Had no problems installing it in my ASUS g1-s. Had no problems with heating or boots. It's RAM! Pretty cheap!

Pros: works, Delivered fast.

Cons: Would have liked to see such sensitive material in an anti-static bag rather than some simple plastic, but you can win it all.

Other Thoughts: It took a few minutes for my computer to recognize the ram, but I have no complaints about the speed of delivery and the quality of the product.

Cons: DOA out of the box and took two weeks fro tech support of Patriot to return emails and calls to get a replacement.

Pros: Excellent performance... I ran a memtest program after buying my first 2 gig strip of this with no errors after 6 hours. After a few months I purchased another one and had similar results.

Cheap... I got it with free shipping previously and a MIR. You just can't beat the benefits for the price.

Cons: Only due to MIR, if you have problems after you send in the UPC for the MIR, you can't return it if you have problems.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this memory. Vastly improved the performance of 64 bit Vista from 2gb to 4gb.

Pros: Great memory, dependable and has lasted for about a year now and I expect it to keep working. Passed Memtest86+. Easy to install. Get 4GB's for your laptop to maximize speed and performance.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Who cares if it's made or not made in the U.S.? Thats not a reason to give this product a lower rating. It's not false advertisement since they never advertise it to be a U.S. exclusively manufactured product. Memory is manufactured mostly by Samsung, Hynix, Micron anyways and rebranded by other companies. Anyways, most if not all of Patriots products are designed and manufactured in California.

Pros: Thanks for responding.

Cons: There is no insert and plenty of space on the module and packaging for "Made In America". My SD card made by the same company is made in Taiwan so I'm guessing this is where my module came from as well. Slapping red, white, and blue and a patriotic name on everything isn't good enough for me when other products from the same company are made in Taiwan.

Other Thoughts: There is no insert and no label anywhere to be found. Taiwan's flag has the same colors as USA so it's not false advertising.

Rating + 3 Where is the MADE IN USA label?


Pros: Needed ram for Autocad and this brought me up to 3gb. Works like it should.

Cons: No Made in America label. Makes me wonder if it really is. I've seen in on other packages but it's no where to be found on mine. Payed the higher price for this reason.

Other Thoughts: 3 stars because if it was Made in America then it needs to be labeled. With businesses going overseas everyday a company that makes a product in this county needs to advertise that fact as much as possible. Either Patriot is stupid for not posting it or it was made in china like everything else.

Pros: Installed very easily in my MacBook (2.4GHz C2D). MacOS and Vista recognized it immediately. Good price.

Other Thoughts: If you're installing in a MacBook (and probably the iMacs too), you'll need a VERY small philips screwdriver. I almost couldn't find one in the house that worked. I buy only Patriot Memory because it's <<<MADE IN USA>>>. I think one other company is too, but I don't remember their name so Patriot gets the nod.

Pros: Product arrived as promised, in a timely manner and shipping container, although flimsy (more below) was intact.

RAM installed into my HP Pavilion dv6645us with no problem, booted laptop, responds much quicker now (I upgraded from 2 GB to 4 GB RAM).

Cons: Shipping container - it was a (barely) padded over-sized shipping envelope, with the two RAM modules thrown inside with a shipping receipt. One RAM container was slightly damaged, but the RAM is ok and has been working fine for two weeks.

Other Thoughts: Have always gotten excellent and prompt service from Newegg.com, in addition to better-than-average prices on the products I've ordered. Pricing is a big concern for me since I have two children in the home and everyone has their own desktop!

Pros: Cheap! Went from 2 gigs to 4 gigs. Works with my XPS M1210 perfectly. Runs fast and not as hot when gaming at my last ram per temp diags taken.

Cons: When installed it was giving me hassle getting to the bios or booting windows up, Saying to reset the memory because the size has changed. But that occurs with all non dell branded memory.

Pros: Inexpensive, both working, very noticable upgrade from 2gb stock HP mem to 4 GB patriot mem.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: Purchased two of these to boost my RAM to 4gb from 2 on an HP pavilion dv9000 series. VERY noticable increase in performance. On a weird side note, I put in this memory, but before i checked the "windows performance" score or whatever, and I rated a 4.9 processor, 4.5 RAM, 4.6 Graphics, 4.6 Gaming Graphics, and 4.7 Hard Drive. After the RAM swap, I rated a 4.9 processor still, a 4.5 RAM still, and went to 4.8 on graphics, 4.7 gaming graphics, and 4.9 HD. Weird? Oh well. It's a h-e-double hockey sticks faster than it was.

Pros: I purchased this RAM to upgrade my HP Pavilion DV9000 Series Entertainment PC, Model DV9310US Laptop. I read the specifications on HP's website that the Max. Ram Memory for this model was 2GB. I currently had 2GB (2x1GB) installed, I pulled 1 stick of 1GB and installed this 2GB stick. The PC accepted the upgrade with no problems. I'm currently running 3GB of memory total, 1GB more than manufacturers specifications.

Other Thoughts: Great upgrade from 2GB, Don't believe the Manufacturers specifications maximum requirements for your models of computers. I took a chance, purchased, recieved, installed and was accepted! Very happy customer!

Pros: Low cost

Cons: I was only running 1GB in my intel duo core laptop, so I bought this to upgrade the memory. I've been using Dreamscene on windows Vista with no problem, swapped out a 512mb stick with this, and the video on dreamscene continues to flicker.

I've tested different slots, only running on this stick, and reverting back to my original RAM. This is the same speed as my old RAM, but for some reason - this makes video on my desktop flicker..

Would not reccommend if you are big into graphics or video.

Other Thoughts: Either I dont run dreamscene, or i dont use this RAM.

Other Thoughts: Worked great in my Gateway MX6214. Everything is a million times faster. I record my music using a HUGE program called Nuendo... there is no bigger recording program out there. This Card runs it like a dream. So don't hesitate, grab one up today.... oh yeah, when you get it (in very short order) you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much bubble wrap they put around it. GREAT JOB AGAIN NEW EGG!!!!

Pros: My wife installed it by herself and bumped her RAM from 2GB to 3GB. She powered up her laptop and everything worked great. It's nice to have the full 3GB's when running Vista since it's such a memory hog. I would definitely consider buying Patriot RAM in the future.

Cons: The mail-in-rebate...does anyone else find it ironic that a company that sells technology hardware that's supposed to speed things up would require you to use snail-mail to get your rebate?

Other Thoughts: Why do they call them apartments if they are all connected? What color would a smurf turn if you choked it? Is it time for lunch yet?

Pros: Put this into my MacBook Pro 2.4 Core2Duo and now it has 3G of RAM, would buy another but the $20 rebate was only good for one at a time, maybe next month.

Cons: One stick of RAM per rebate.

Pros: Good RAM at a great price. As always Newegg has fast shipping. I ordered it on Wednesday night and received it on Friday... with 3 day shipping!

Cons: Absolutely none.
