Rating + 5 GREAT MEMORY!!!


Pros: Great RAM popped this into my Samsung N310 and it was recognized immediately. Book runs a little smoother but it ran just okay on the 1GB it came with save for slow start and hibernate time which has now improved. Win 7 HP is light and nice on the system and that in itself is a big plus

Cons: Paid for the Next Day saver shipping but it was a waste of time and money. UPS is slow. It took the shipper two entire days to ship memory between two cities which are less than 10 miles apart and four days for what was meant to be next day delivery...niaje ups????

Other Thoughts: RAM DIMM is not blue as advertised. It is green. Computer responsiveness is okay. Very minor improvement in shutdown and load times. Win 7HP is very light on system so I did not see any much of an improvement on the system other than faster shutdown time and hibernate. Great RAM PATRIOT!!! Good service newegg save for the shipping...

Pros: It works great with my ASUS 1005HA. I installed it in and BIOS recognized this immediately. Provide enough RAM for win7 to run like a champ. It deserves 5 eggs (read other thoughts for -1 egg)

Other Thoughts: Ok, Here is the thing. The new Egg Saver shipping option sucks!!!! I thought I could save a few bucks to have this thing delivered in 4 to 7 days. But thing get out of control. After 3 days from the day I placed the order, I stopped receiving any new updates about the shipping schedule of my items. It was not the fault from newegg, it is from USPS. Eventually, I gotta called newegg for the replacement, and I received my items after 13 days. It was totally not cool!!!!!! And I gotta call back to newegg to cancel my claim.
Don't use this shipping option just to save couple bucks. After this experience, I don't trust USPS and let them handle my shipments. They are slow and barely update new feeds.

Pros: Installed this in Asus eee 1005HA with no issues. For others who have similar netbook, make sure you take out battery and disable boot boost in the bios before you install. Otherwise the machine will only see the 1 gig it came with.

Pros: Does what RAM is supposed to do. RAM isn't the most exciting thing in a computer, but when it doesn't work right you know it, and this worked right from the get-go. I put it in my 1000HE netbook and it clocked down to where it needed to be. I even "overclocked" it in the sense that I upped the speed to DDR800 (like it's rated for) with software but it kept the timings lower than the specified values (4 CAS vs 5) and still ran fine. The RAM was also cheap.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The RAM I got had a blue PCB, unlike the pictures, curiously enough. Looks cooler, not that you'll likely see it. Matches the blue color of my netbook, heh. RAM only showed as 1GB at first, due to the "fast boot" feature of my netbook, which bypasses most of the POST detection at power-on. Just had to keep tapping F2 to get it to let me in the BIOS where it then decided to recognize it all. Performance improvement will be minor on a netbook going from 1GB unless you really try to multitask or open tons of tabs in your internet browser. Otherwise you don't typically do anything intensive on a netbook. It's still nice to have though.

Pros: Put in Asus EEE 1000 HE. Started computer and system information still showed original amount of ram .99GB. Shut down and on next start pressed F2 a few times during start up to enter BIOS, Once in BIOS the Main page then showed 2048MB of memory, pressed F10 and enter. Computer then booted and showed the 1.99GB in system information. Once recognized it works as advertised.

Cons: Had to access BIOS to get to work. Probably the EEE's fault.

Other Thoughts: I think for the EEE 1000HE, it is not a bad idea to get the higher bus speed (800 vs 667) because the EEE has an overclocking feature.

Pros: 1. Straight forward installation
2. Dropped in and instantly recognized with no issues
3. Noticeable difference in load times (nothing phenomenal but still noticeable- I mean- it's still a Dell Mini)

Cons: None as of yet - everything is in good working order.

Other Thoughts: Shipping:
For the price and free shipping this beat out some of my local stores and I received it within the 3-7 day window Newegg promises.

SO-DIMM Stability:
This Patriot 2G module is rated at 6400 and the Dell Mini came stock with a 1G rated at 5300. The 6400 module is well within the FSB requirements on the Mini and the voltages are both 1.8- So far no issues and I didn't have to tweak anything to get this to run smoothly.
For roughly 20 bucks- and a less ridiculous load time on start up- I would say its worth it. However- just remember that you're not going run CAD or game with a Dell Mini- this upgrade is simply to improve basic function. It does what I expected it to do- and if you're hoping its going to allow your Dell Mini to create Kelly Lebrock (BOOYAW Weird Science reference) - then you will be sad- and without girlfriend.

Pros: No problems. Worked correctly when computer was powered after installing. Peformance increased not measured when memory changed from 2GB to 3GB, but have not run any tests. 800 MHZ should increase performance from 667 MHZ DDR2 that was replaced.

Other Thoughts: This replaced a 1GB 667 DDR2 in an HP dv6700 series notebook. I ordered another after I knew it would work correctly. Total memory will be 4GB, the maximum for this computer. Price was good.

Pros: Inexpensive (Never thought RAM would be $10/GB)
Works perfectly in my $350 laptop as DDR2 667, enabling dual channel with the other 2GB DDR2 800 module that came with the laptop
Luckily, it seems, very fast shipping (2 days)

Cons: I've maxed all of my laptops out with 4GB, so I have no reason to buy more, which is a shame with the current price of RAM.

Other Thoughts: I also bought a 2GB stick of Kingston DDR2 667 a few weeks ago with the same fine performance and fast shipping

Rating + 5 Does what it's supposed to.


Pros: Incredibly cheap, DDR2 800, and fast timings (4-4-4-12). I bought this to upgrade my HP Mini 1000 to 2GB RAM, and it works great.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: For such a low price, you really can't afford not to upgrade your laptop's memory.

Rating + 5 Hail Patriot


Pros: I bought this at the same time I bought an Asus Eee PC (900HA-XP) to upgrade the ram when it arrived. Booted up and recognized it without a hitch. I decided to go with Patriot since I have 8GB of their ram in my desktop at home and have no problems with it either.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: To the reviewer a few reviews down. What sense does it make to give the product a one egg rating when you are complaining about the wait on the shipping time? Not to mention that the complaint is about having to wait until the very last day to get what you ordered when the shipping was free. Do us all a favor and stop posting useless reviews and lowering product ratings.

Pros: Well considering its not here yet i dont have any positives. I hear it will make my computer run much faster according to my boyfriend. Hope it comes soon!!!

Cons: STILL NOT HERE!!! Ordered feb 3 it is now feb 12 and post office says it could be 2 or more days until its delivered. Terrible!! Newegg did offer me a small for the delay :)

Other Thoughts: SLOW SHIPPING!!! i guess you get what you pay for. I have never had this long of a delay from Newegg...unexceptable but customer service was willing to work with me and offer a discount. If you are experiencing the same problem contact customer service for your refund too!!!

Rating + 1 is this memory compatible with DDR2 667 / PC2 5300 systems?


Pros: Question: Does this memory play nice with older systems and slower DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) memory installed on the same laptop? Apparently "a lot of PC2-6400 memory has an SPD (Serial Presence Detect) chip that knows only its rated speed - and nothing slower... a PC2-6400 module on a name-brand system which supports only up to PC2-5300 memory will not even POST" (excerpted from club cdfr eaks - /f7/upgrading-ram-256081/). Does this memory include a SPD-programmed speed of 667? I need to know before making the purchase.

Cons: If the above issue reveals an incompatibility with my system and/or other installed memory, then it will not work.
Does anyone have an answer?

In relation to your question regarding slower RAM working with the faster memory. The RAM will run at the speed of it's slowest module. By mixing RAM like that you are not going to get better performance. My suggestion would be to replace the slower RAM with sticks of the same speed as the newer RAM. It is a waste of processing otherwise.

There is also the case that the RAM itself is not compatible which would mean that the two combined will not even allow your system to boot.

Pros: cheap / free shipping

Cons: STILL NOT HERE , and at this rate with no delivery on saturday I wont get it until mon , thats well over 7 days HORRIBLE service, couldnt get much worse wont be ordering from these people again .......

Other Thoughts: doesnt matter if you promise a great price, but cant deliver in time, id sooner spend an extra 2-4 dollars and get my stuff fast ..

Rating + 1 DOA but NewEgg cust service rocks!!


Pros: NewEgg Rocks!!

Cons: Dead on arrival

Other Thoughts: One star because the memory arrived DOA. Not NewEgg's fault. Called NewEgg and asked them can I get a refund, I'd prefer to buy a different brand. They were very helpful and issued me full refund. No restocking, no need to ship back faulty ram. Went beoynd my expectations! I'm delighted shopping at NewEgg.

Pros: Everything works as it should.

At the current price, if you bought 2 it would be cheaper than most kits at these specs and one is cheaper than a double kit.

Cons: Nobody has 64bit OS's which can take full advantage of 2 of these?

Other Thoughts: Got these for a HP 8350p. Plays nicely with the memory which came with it in dual channel, but the shipped memory is CAS 6, so its a bit of a waste. Also, it came with only 32 bit versions of Windows.

Pros: great price /free shipping

Cons: 4 days latr still no mem to test :( ordered on a sunday approved on a mon still nodda .
will give a rating when the item actually reaches here .

Other Thoughts: tiger has much much faster delivery, almost everything ive ordered from them has gotten here in 1-2 days this has already doubled thats rediculous .
NewEGG get a new delivery service or something your delivery time SUCKS .
this is the second item ive had to wait until the exact last day of term to get 7 days is to darn long , if ys say 3-7 then you should be trying to get it to customer impressivley fast like tiger to keep people coming back grrr.

Pros: Good ram, good cost. Unfortunately for me, the cost just went down, but it's still good, cheap ram. Sped up my poor girlfriend's laptop. She was running Vista on 1gb.
