follow up review
Pros: This is a follow up review from my previous one (1/29/2010). Replacement set of RAM works fine after extensive testing with memtest86. Nice to know that even after newegg's return policy is over, i can still get support through g.skill, although i haven't had the chance to use them yet. But from the reviews where they've had to use them, it seems easy to use. Both Newegg and G.Skill were very responsive and that's a good sign of customer service.
Cons: Nobody likes getting DOA and/or defective merchandise, but that's the way of life. Know the proper procedures for repair/replacement and be done with it.
Other Thoughts: If I had waited another week, I could've gotten an i3 setup insead of c2d for roughly the same price, but I'm not complaining. It's for my wife. Sims 3 and Photoshop will probably be the biggest cpu load on this box. Antec 300 Illusion Antec 550w modular psu Gigabyte G41-ES2L G.Skill 4GB ddr2 800 lite-on dvd-rw samsung f5 500gb evga 9600 gso win7 x64 ultimate
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We are glad to hear your memory package is working just fine now. We apologize for the DOA, even after thorough QA/QC procedures, memory can still be defective. But that is why all G.Skill memory packages are backed by a lifetime guarantee. If for whatever reason your memory is dead on arrival or becomes defective after a couple days, weeks, or years of use, we will exchange it with a new replacement without question. If you have any further questions or issues with your G.Skill memory package, please feel free to contact us directly and we will be more than glad to assist you. Recently received two bad kits
Pros: Originally bought 2 kits a couple years ago for two new builds. I was thrilled with the results. Popped right in and work with two different motherboards and never a problem since install. Then came a recent upgrade with a new kit...
Cons: Recently upgrade one box to 64-bit Win 7. Bought another kit to upgrade to 8GB total. First kit would not post on install. I didn't test each stick individually, just RMA'd for another very smooth New Egg return. The replacement kit installed and booted with no problem. But two weeks later one of the new sticks failed.
Other Thoughts: I'll be trying the G.skill RMA process for the first time to replace the failed stick. Will review here my impressions. After being thrilled with this product a couple years ago, I have to admit my opinion has been tarnished under my recent troubles. Perhaps G,skill can mount a save with impressive trouble free and low stress warranty replacement.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer We apologize for the inconvenience. We are sorry to hear you are having a bad experience with G.Skill memory thus far, but we will do our best to change that. All of our memory packages are backed by a lifetime guarantee for these types of situations. If for whatever reason your memory is dead on arrival or becomes defective after a couple days, weeks, or years of use, we will exchange it with a new replacement without question. Our RMA turnaround time is fairly quick (1-2 days), so you should experience a stress-free warranty replacement. If you have any further questions or issues with your G.Skill memory package, please feel free to contact us directly and we will be more than glad to assist you. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Tech Support Email: ustech@gskillusa.com RMA Dept Email: rma@gskillusa.com G.Skill Forum: http://www.gskill.us/forum/

Not bad but fials memtest, try again
Pros: Reasonable price and G.Skill reputation
Cons: Unfortunately I ram memtest against the memeory and after several passes it had a failure. I noticed the DIMMs run warm and mayeb the heat spreader is not doing an effective job.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg rocks with easy fast RMA process and we'll see if the secodn set is better. Fortunatley I have some spare RMA to use until this gets replaced.

Something missing..
Pros: - Highly compatible - Super Fast - Low heat value - Overclockable
Cons: - Still cost too much
Other Thoughts: As usual, Gskill has done it again! I have built around 25 computers last year, each of which I used G.Skill RAM and have had no issues WHATSOEVER!! My only dissapointment is that the last 3 packages I have received, no longer contain the cool little G.Skill sticker logo that I am used to attaching to all the PC cases...

It just works
Pros: Pop this stuff in and your good to go. This stuff has the right timings, and the correct voltage to boot on any modern board. If you looking for compatibility this is the stuff.
Cons: Heat spreaders are small, not sure as thats a con tho, because these dont get hot!
Other Thoughts: I have bought from G.Skill twice and they not let me down yet. Works seemlessly in my Gigabyte GA-P45-UD3R

Pros: Installed easily and my board (Gigabyte G41-ES2L) and Win7 x64 recognized it right away. Got 5.9 as Windows experience score.
Cons: Unfortunately, after the OS was installed, I got a bad pool header error after an update was installed. tested with memtest86+ and got multiple errors. Sending it back first thing on Monday. I'm only giving it two eggs because of my experience with it, seeing as so many people have not had issues.

Pros: Fast Stable Flexible Affordable
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Paired with AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, ASUS M4A77D, and EVGA 01G-P3-N959-TR GeForce 9500, this was the absolute easiest, most trouble-free install I've ever experienced. Prime95 stable and never going over 51c. Windows 7 gives it a performance rating 7.3 out of 7.9.

Amazing performance and quality
Pros: Amazing brand, performance, quality, and support. All I can say is wow, had these for over a year overclocked to 960mhz, running stable without any problems and still going. Would go higher clock, but kinda scared to. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.
Cons: none that i can think of
Other Thoughts: windows 7 rating @ 960mhz put out 7.1 WOW!!!

Poor packing, but otherwise good
Pros: - Good product reputation - Good heat spreaders
Cons: - Packing materials: It's been about 2 yrs since I bought memory, but when I've purchased it in the past (from other manufacturers), it has been sent to me fully enveloped in bubble packing. This was not cushioned by the manufacturer or by Newegg in any way, which surprised me.
Other Thoughts: It seems difficult to find low latency memory (less than 5) and since the faster speeds of RAM (1066 and up) usually have a latency >6, it doesn't seem like any huge advantage to upgrade to a higher speed than 800MHz, since the latency also goes up. To me, DDR2 800 is the way to go and it's priced affordably right now.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We are sorry to hear you did not receive it in good packaging, hopefully it was simply a one time mistake. You are right in that DDR2 800 is the best performance for the price. DDR2-800 CL5 is the equivalent of DDR2-1066 CL6, but more important than frequency and timings is the voltage. Our DDR2-800 mostly need 1.80V-1.90V while DDR2-1066 typically requires 2.0V-2.10V. The difference is voltage is significant as it produces a tremendous amount of extra stress on the memory controller and could possibly reduce performance. Consequently, many times DDR2-800 may perform faster than DDR2-1066. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Pros: - Good Price - Pretty fast - Works
Cons: None so far

I know it's great ram but what happened?
Pros: The timings came in just as advertised, and I noticed better performance immediately in Bioshock. Shipping was free.
Cons: They WERE only $44! Glad I brought them when I did
Other Thoughts: They aren't compatible with my motherboard so I can't run them in dual channel, but they still get the job done.

Great Buy
Pros: Fantastic Value when I purchased it for 65.00. I Bought an AM3 MB that took DDR2 because at the time it was still cheaper than moving to DDR3. Now that may not be the case, but the memory performs like a champ. 4 gbs seems to be a great amount of memory for running day-to-day tasks, music, videos, multiple applications (not Photoshop, Dreamweaver and video encoding at the same time or anything, but normal usage). I can encode an AVI for burning to DVD, listien to music, flip through the web and have Steam up and running without any major slow-down. In fact, right now I've got Steam (friend chat up too), Zune player, Google Chrome, a couple small apps, Antivirus, Firewall software, system monitors etc. all running and I'm only at 34% usage for memory. Comes with decent Heatsinks too, stays cool in a good case. Not a single issue with the MB picking it up and recognizing the timings either. GSkill has made a decent rep for itself lately. Pop it in, boot up and start enjoying it!
Cons: A bit pricey now. If you need DDR2 memory (Like I would for this MB) this is definitely the memory to get, but if you can spend a bit more to switch to DDR3 you might as well. Prices can only fall for it now that the industry is swinging in that direction, and you don't want to limit yourself to older, hard to find memory down the road.
Other Thoughts: Antec 300 Illusion case MSI 785GTM-E45 AM3/AM2+ MB AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0ghz CPU G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800 Raidmax Hybrid 2 RX-530SS 530W PSU WD Caviar Blue 320GB Sata 3.0Gb/s HDD XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB GPU 16x Lite-on DVD-R ODD
No overclocking. TF2 - Everything maxed @ 1080: 106fps average L4D2 - Everything maxed @ 1080: 60fps average UT3 - Everything maxed @16x9: 75fps average
Runs Crysis Wars @ 1300 or so on "good quality" settings smoothly. Runs Section 8 just dandy, Hawx will run at 16x9 smoothly, even in dogfights, and of course it'll beat the snot out of BF2 (waiting for BF: Bad Company 2 to drop!!!).
This rig will also encode an hour+ AVI for DVD format (audio/video_ts folders/files) @standard-def in about 20 minutes. 25 and you've got a dvd-player ready disc.

Great memory
Pros: Nice looking. runs smooth no errors. running at 5.5.5.15 1.9v plays well with my other memory for a total of 8 gigs. best memory at a descent price.
Cons: price was ok but was cheaper a few months back. but that's how it goes in supply and demand. Sorta like gas prices. Not G.Skills fault.
Other Thoughts: Don't think you can over clock this by much but thats not why i bought it. G.Skill you have a new fan. Also i hear all about the great Tech Support.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory package you purchased works great with your other memory. With 8GB, your computer memory should not be the cause of any delays/lag. Regarding pricing, we wish pricing was lower as well, but unfortunately many electronics use the same IC chips in memory, so prices have gone up quite a bit. Hopefully in the near future the prices will come back down. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Need Help - New Memory Crashing PC
Pros: none so far
Cons: Bought 4GB PC2_6400 for my Dell XPS 710. The PC came with 1GB PC2_5300. Dell offered the PC2_6400 as an upgrade so thought the higher 'speed' would be ok. After installation (new RAM only - did not mix old PC2_5300) - the PC booted up normally, but would reboot intermittently for no apparent reason.
Other Thoughts: Please advise thoughts as otherwise will need to return memory for PCs_5300?
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you are having an issue with you G.Skill memory package. Big Bang
Pros: GSkill knows its business making ram for gamers. Whether it's for every day computing or gaming, you won't go wrong. I put the memory in and I noticed the difference in the pick-up right-off. Hats off to GSkill, and hats off to New Egg for selling top products.
Cons: The only con was that the first 2 sticks were dead, which was the first time that happened to me. I think after a while you have to expect to get a dud now and then. That's life, deal with it. well, New Egg did deal with it and sent off 2 more sticks without any problems. Those two fired up right off, and I was gamin with 8 gigs firing.
Other Thoughts: Oh Yeah, New Egg!

Excellent
Pros: My CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 250 @3600MHz My mobo: ASUS M3N78 Pro I put this kit in one channel, and a 2GB (2x1GB) kit of Wintec AMPX 3AXT6400C4 in the other channel (BIOS is reporting dual-channel mode), used BIOS to set the RAM frequency to 480MHz (DDR2-960), and ran a "Cache & Memory" benchmark with Everest: Memory Read speed: ~8544MB/s Memory Latency: ~50.9ns These are almost the exact same numbers I got with this G.Skill running by itself (~50.1ns), so I'm guessing it's ok to mix these two kits _on_ _my_ _mobo_. I guess it's ok to mix module sizes without impacting dual-channel mode, as long as each CHANNEL has a matched-size pair. I used Ramdisk to put all the RAM that Win XP 32 bit doesn't use (XP 32 bit only uses 3.6GB) on a ramdisk, and put my pagefile on the ramdisk -- effectively giving me ~6GB of RAM in XP 32 bit! Win 7 x64 works. I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase! Heat spreaders are skinnier (allow more room between adjacent sticks) than my old RAM -- good for
Cons: Are you kidding?
Other Thoughts: Here's the SPD tables as reported by Thaiphoon Burner: G.SKILL Frequency tCL tRCD tRP tRAS tRC tRFC tRRD tWR tWTR tRTP 400 MHz 5.0--5----5---15---23--51---26---6----3---3 267 MHz 4.0--4----4---10---16--34---17---4----2---2 267 MHz 3.0--4----4---10---16--34---17---4----2---2
WINTEC Frequency tCL tRCD tRP tRAS tRC tRFC tRRD tWR tWTR tRTP 400 MHz 6.0---5---5---18---23--42---3----6---3----3 400 MHz 5.0---5---5---18---23--42---3----6---3----3 267 MHz 4.0---4---4---12---16--28---2----4---2----2
I can't set timings on this mobo. With BOTH the G.Skill and the Wintec kits installed, CPU-Z reports my current timings as: 5-5-5-18 tRC - 24 CR - 2T
Ordered Egg Saver with Rush Processing on Saturday, received from my USPS mail carrier on the following Friday. I think I'll go UPS next time because of their tracking number update frequency/promptness. Now I can game with 50 tabs open in my web browser.

Flawless
Pros: 2x2 Gigs, average price, really thin sticks compared to the cheap stuff I had
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Haven't tried overclocking since my phenom 9950 and 7 x64 don't get along at speeds above stock (Vista x64 didn't either)
The blue does match my Crosshair II Formula nicely.

Works Great!
Pros: They work exactly like intended. I the same set of Gskill over a year ago and just added another 4 GB to my computer of the same RAM. So for over a year they have been performing awesome and now have added even more edge to my machine.
Cons: Even though they are not the cheapest they still outperform everything I see everyone else with.
Other Thoughts: Get this RAM... it is super reliable.

Good memory
Pros: Good speed as far as I can tell. It installed easily and the motherboard picked it up ok. Windows experience rates it at 6.5 in my PC. I'm using it in a GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L mobo with no issues. I'm running at standard speed with no overclocking.

Customer Service
Pros: I bought 2 of these sets and one of the sticks was faulty. That's a too bad, but G.Skill got a new stick right out to me. Stuff happens, but they stand behind the product
Cons: 1 out of 4 was bad.

Winner
Pros: cheap, heat spreaders, colors matched by gbyte mobo :)
Cons: W7 32-bit RC is only reading 3.25gb of the 4 gigs for some reason. Will probably go away once I upgrade to 64 bit pro
Other Thoughts: Have been purchasing this brand for about 3 years now and I have yet to get a bad stick.

Great RAM!
Pros: This Ram is amazing. I put this RAM in my computer and ran the windows 7 tester and got a 7.3 out of 7.9. Thats darn good for just two sticks of RAM.
Cons: none

Pros: Great Ram! Stable! Relatively Cheap
Cons: None, just don't except to overclock it much.
Other Thoughts: Downside: My motherboard died 10 days after I bought this so I have to RMA it for a refund because I'm upgrading to AM3 which will use DDR3 1600 instead of 800. Upside to that is NewEgg is so understanding :)

Memory is good but having trouble with two sets
Pros: I purchased a second set of RAM as the first set ran great. But when I add the second set my system is constantly freezing.
Cons: This is great for 4GB I am not sure about going to 8GB
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you are having an issue with your G.Skill memory package. When using 4 sticks (8GB), it may overload the memory controller on the motherboard thus causing instability. Try raising the NB Voltage to 1.40V and that should stabilize the system. If you continue to have issues, simply contact our technical support department and they will be able to assist you. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Good RAM
Pros: Good Ram. Both sticks worked out of the box and survived 8 hours each of Memtest86. Both sticks were recognized in the BIOS with the right settings (thankfully! since i have a Dell and can't change power settings, voltage and what not). Once I can I'm going to grab another set of these for a total of 8gigs.
The design on the heat sinks makes for a nice looking addition to my motherboard.
Cons: Not really a con, but mine didn't come with a Gskill sticker to put on my case =(.
Other Thoughts: Windows seven gives this RAM a rating of 5.9: I guess only DDR3 RAM will get rated in the 6.0+ range

Great memory
Pros: Loved the memory went along side g-skill 1 gb from previous build. installed with win 7 64 bit and the machine is fast. New egg service is excellent!
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Was worried about the timings but I got them equal to the timings that was in the system already. Computer is: Asus P5b deluxe, 6 GB total now, Nvidia GTS 320MB, Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD, 650 Watt PS
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you were able to match these with your existing 2GB memory package. Great memory non overclocked
Pros: 4 gigs finally with respectable speeds for a decent price. This memory is installed in a gigabyte p35dsl if I recall. The memory was installed and booted right up . Using the memory with windows 7 premium 64 bit and recognizes the 4 gigs makes everything run smooth
Cons: A little pricey compared to what prices were but not their fault.I would love to see in more colors and tighter timings but this memory has been running fine.
Other Thoughts: If you are waiting don't bother with windows 7 this runs much smoother. Q6600 overclocked to 3.51 memory is at only 780 so haven't tried overclocking it yet

didnt seem to like vista 64
Pros: drop them in and go! bios recognizes them right at the start. this is the 4th set of g.skill modules i've purchased over the past 3-4 years and i don't think i'll buy another brand again. Have had NO DOA modules, and everything i've bought is still running after a few years of heavy use. after reading the reviews i'm tempted to run these at 4-4-4-12 @1.9v. my mobo allows me to OC the processor while keeping the ram frequency down near the 800 level (these can be moderately oc'd past 800, but not past 1000).
Cons: started getting hangups and stalls after i made the switch to vista 64. i even stopped overclocking and tried running everything at stock speeds. all tests came back clean so all components were in proper working order. i even tried the old tech support favorite "unplug everything and plug it back in". nothing helped. so i turned back to good old xp pro and everything is rock solid. way faster too. will probably stay that way until i can get windows 7.
Other Thoughts: had never heard of g.skill when building my first PC 4 years back. bought 4 1gb sticks to max out my asus board 4 years ago. that machine is still running great (i popped it into an antec 900 case and gave it to a friend, it just needs a new cpu fan, so glad newegg still carries socket 939 fans). point is, this is a solid RAM company. if i had the money i'd make the leap to DDR3. also, despite the increase in RAM prices, these are still noticeably cheaper than other brands.

Still Lovin It
Pros: current running these sticks @ 962MHz and not missing a beat..5-5-5-15 2T 1.9 volts and passing all tests with Gigabyte EP45-UD3P and Intel Q9550 @ 3.412
Cons: not a single con from Me!!!
Other Thoughts: I do builds and when my customers ask what memory they will have, all I say is G.Skill....whats that? Dont worry about it you will be happy!

Great ram for the money!
Pros: Run's at spec. speeds 800mhz I was able to tighten the timings to 4-4-4-12 with 1.9v
Cons: (None) Price for DDR2 went up drastically, but thats supply and demand for you...
Other Thoughts: Put in a clients build, works great, at spec speeds and timings. Even able to tighten timings within spec voltage.

This is what I was hoping for
Pros: I spent the extra few bucks that G.Skill was above some other high-rated memory because of their customer service. Luckily I didn't need to contact them - it came out fine!
Cons: One edge of the heatspreader was a little bit sharp. Oops! No blood on my parts, at least.
Other Thoughts: My motherboard seems to have linked the CPU and memory clocks so that they increase proportionally. Since G.Skill is known for making enthusiast-quality memory I'm not worried about it too much.

It's RAM
Pros: Got it when it was 45$ and free shipping. No problems. Easy install. Does what RAM does.
Cons: Subtracted one egg due to major price increase.
Other Thoughts: Used in my low budge gaming desktop and performed like a champ until the PSU under volted my mobo and fried it a couple months ago. Tested the memory and it's working just fine, no damage from the bad power supply thankfully now that the price has nearly doubled.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Unfortunately the increase in pricing, is due to the global supply and demand of memory IC chips. The recent uptrend has caused our costs to nearly double, which is why it has reflected on to consumers. Hopefully prices will drop in the near future and allow DDR2 to be more affordable. Still Rockin' after nearly a year
Pros: I've had many sticks of G.Skill memory over the years and not one dead [knocks on wood]. Not overclocked remains cool to the touch after hours in my PC. I got it for about $40 in Jan 09.
Cons: $90! At least it's still in the lower half of the price range for this type RAM. DDR3 has gotten outrageous too.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully there will be some sort of market correction in the near future. I'd really like a few more of these bad boys to max out my computer's memory slots.

Inflation
Pros: Love this memory fast was affordable.
Cons: None was my motherboards falut after various memory test.
Other Thoughts: I bought this memory thanksgiving a year ago for half the price and now I came back to buy more and its expensive. Guess the memory manufactures are trying to get us to buy DDR3. Oh well must be suppily.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase. We are sorry to hear your computer is not up and running, but hopefully after the motherboard is replaced everything runs smoothly. Regarding the increase in pricing, unfortunately it is simply the global supply and demand of memory IC chips. Pros: Uh, at least one of the sticks worked.
Cons: Unfortunately the other one didn't so I'm sitting here with 2GB all over again.

Very nice memory
Pros: Though not the fastest timings, this ram has performed beautifully.
Cons: Bought two sets, one was bad. Not sure what happened, but would not work in two of my pc's, caused hardware to not show up (sound card on one pc, vid card on the other). Newegg rma for the win, replacements work flawlessly.
Other Thoughts: Was a bit bummed on one set being bad, but Newegg was quick on the rma and the replacement worked perfectly. Thankya Newegg! And thanks goes to G.Skill for making good ram at decent prices!

Great Ram and Fast. 775 People forget about 1066!!
Pros: This ram is fast! Although it is DDR2 800 don't let that discourage you from buying it. I'm one of these people who have stuck with the 775 platform and feel it's still very good. I had Kingston hyperX ram that never ran correctly at the false advertising speeds of 1066, I replaced it with these chips went from 4GB to 8GB in windows 7 and saw a major performance increase.. Stop being scared and max out your board with this ram.
Peace.
Cons: doesn't come with a G.Skill sticker for my rig.. Yes I care about the sticker.

Pros: It works and went in fine!
Cons: Did not install it's self nore make lunch!
Other Thoughts: New egg rocks! Got here for FREE and in prefect working order along with a PSU. New egg shipping for NJ should be the model for the US. Gets here in 2 days and is wrapped so tight it is almost to hard to get out.

Was great memory
Pros: Great memory for 32 bit operations and OSs. I was dual booting XP as well as Ubuntu ( Intrepid Ibex as well as Jaunty Jackalope), both 32bit. Memory performed smooth as silk, was fast as lightning, and ran decently cool.
Cons: Upgraded to windows 7 64bit and one stick decided it didn't like the 64bit OSs. I'm now dual booting 7 and Karmic Koala (64bit) and the "temperamental" chip fails in both, yet still runs just fine in my 32bit second system running 32bit XP. Very strange.
Other Thoughts: G.Skill has lifetime warranty so I will eventually RMA to them and give their customer support a try. All in all, I have been happy with the company as a whole though. This is the first stick from them that I've had issues with.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your memory package. Please contact us with your computer specifications so that we may be able to replicate the issue to find a solution. This memory package should have no issues with with 32 bit or 64 bit operating systems. If you have any further questions or issues, feel free to let us know as well. What's up with the Prices?
Pros: I purchased this ram early summer 09. No complaints, great product and no issues. Good heatsinks, solid product.
Cons: Price! I purchased on 6/17/2009 for $46.99. What's up with the price increase???? Now it's $83!

Pros: Excellent speed and performance rates.
Cons: Ended up being 3.3gb RAM
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory package is working smoothly on your system. The reason why it may be showing only 3.3GB of memory is because you are using a 32 bit Windows Operating System. Once you upgrade to a 64 bit, the computer will then be able to read 3.5GB and above. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. Good stuff
Pros: Looks fantastic, make sure you have a friend there to watch you install. It's kinda satisfying to have that wow factor from someone before you close the case.
These chips didn't give me any problems whatsoever. Installed CPU, this RAM (tight fit but got it in) and the OS. The computer rated these G-Skills at a 5.9. My VAIO Z series laptop with DDR3 gets 5.9. I'm impressed.
Cons: None so far....
Other Thoughts: Running on Windows 7 Professional x64 on a Dell Optiplex 755 with an Intel Q9400. I can't say anything about overclocking.
I really like getting stuff from up-and-coming companies that are putting out good product. G-Skill got me hooked. When I get some dough, I will be cranking this baby up to 8GB and finishing off the two empty slots with the same G-skills.

Plays Nice With G.Skill 2 x 1GB
Pros: Completely plug and play with existing G.Skill 2 x 1GB DDR2 800 overclocked to 960 Mhz. Existing configuration was rock solid for 8+ months, and so far 6 gigs is just as stable, as I expect it to remain for the life of my system. This is also with a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L, not exactly an overclocker's board.
I used to fancy another brand's platinum mirror finish, but G.Skill's satiny sparkly colored heat spreaders are glamor charm-pretty. The blue of the 2x2 feels like a step up from the 2x1 red.
Cons: Price. I made my first DDR2 purchase right before prices dropped and my second right after they skyrocketed. But that's my fault for not paying attention to the RAM market; crummy as it is for DDR2, Newegg is still the place to go. Believe me, I looked elsewhere. It's all tumbleweed out there.
Other Thoughts: A while back I temporarily replaced the G.Skill 2x1 GB kit with a faster, "extreme" kit from someone else. Overclocks were highly unstable, and then the sticks failed. G.Skill is now my go-to brand for RAM.
Making use of excess/unmanaged RAM in my x86-32 system with eBoostr--now I've got a ~2.5 GB page file that positively flies.

Okay
Pros: Good, inexpensive memory.
Cons: I have about a 10% DOA rate with this memory brand overall.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase. All G.Skill products are throughly tested before placed in inventory. We also randomly select memory throughout the inventory to insure that Quality Control is up to par. Unfortunately, even with the thorough checks, DOA still occurs. We continue to improve our Quality Control and hopefully as we strive arduously on a daily basis to reduce these defects, it will save many customers the hassle and inconvenience. Pros: Works perfectly and is completely not noticeable. What's not to like.

Works as advertised
Pros: Worked great right out of the box. I already had 2x2G Corsair chips in my motherboard already. I added this and they all worked well together. Now I have 6GB running on 2 different manufacturer's chips.
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: Very good deal for the price.

Low price, stable
Pros: At the price I paid and free shipping I am very happy. Delivered ~24 hours after ordering (thanks newegg!). Extensive memtest86+ and mprime large/mixed FFT testing indicates no flaws, and perfect stability.
Running dual channel at 450 MHz (DDR2 900), 3-3-7 timings. Cool and stable. Have not tried any other timing or clock.
Cons: None. Yet another great performance from some G. Skill RAM.
Other Thoughts: You could spend the extra $15 for 2x2GB 533MHz DDR2, but if you are getting a new motherboard you might as well get a DDR3 setup.
Great for an upgrade to an old system, or (if you are like me) to have multiple systems with interchangeable components for future repairs/troubleshooting. I like that if my desktop memory dies, my HTPC can now loan it 2GB.

Awesome memory
Pros: This memory is awesome. Worked perfectly in my AMD 6000 3.1ghz and ASUS motherboard. Super fast shipping as always, from newegg. Thanks NEWEGG
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: If you need some good quality ddr2 800 memory, this is the stuff to get. Overall best price to performance ratio you can get.

Still going strong
Pros: Bought these to put in my parent's computer. Over a year later they haven't called me crying about a broken computer. Usually they call me whenever any little thing goes wrong.
Cons: Doesn't cure my parent's bipolarism.
Other Thoughts: Anything that keeps my parents from calling me is worth 5 eggs.

On my 3rd RMA
Pros: Nice while they work.
Cons: On my 3rd RMA between 2 of these kits. Same story each time - random blue screens (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) followed by failing the memtest.
Other Thoughts: Time to try a different brand.
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you continue to have an issue with your memory package. After physically installing memory, please make sure to properly configure memory settings in BIOS otherwise the motherboard may be operating the memory with incorrect settings causing it to go bad over time. Memory frequency should be set to DDR2-800. Memory Timings tCL 4 - tRCD 4 - tRP 4 - tRAS 12 - Command Rate 2. Memory voltage should be set to 1.90V. After these changes, the memory should be stable at all times. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than glad to assist you. good stable product
Pros: good stable memory, this is my third g skill purchase, i would definitely buy g. skill memory again. not as fast as their DDR2-1066 but is compatible with it at 800 mhz. excellent clock timings for older machines (533, 667, 800 mhz).
Cons: expensive... i paid over twice what my 1066 cost this summer, ouch!
Other Thoughts: great stuff! g skill shines yet again!
Manufacturer Response:. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. In order to match DDR2-1066 CL5 speed, you would need to have a DDR2-800 CL4 memory package. The memory package you purchased has a CAS Latency of 5 so it is slightly slower, but like you said, still great for older machines. Second Purchase
Pros: Cool, stable, works; what more can you ask for? Board recognized timings as advertised on first boot.
Picked up the first 4GB set a year ago for the original build and had no problems. Bought second pair to fill the empty slots on my board.
I was concerned at first because GSkill is supposed to a low buck performance memory, seemed like an oxy-moron to me. However, after this build I think I'll save some money and buy GSkill again rather than paying more for other name brands.
Cons: Refuses to walk the dog.
Other Thoughts: Modest MMO gamer box. Duel Core 2, Asus MB that is used for everything, work and play. Not over-clocked, stability is more important than that last once of performance in this build.

Pros: Great sticks, work well, no problems.
Cons: Overclocking my Q6600 2.4 GHz to 3.0 GHz requires me to lower my DDR to maintain at 800 MHz or less or else it will cause instability, but that's not much of a con.
Other Thoughts: I've purchased 2 sets of these sticks and they have both worked great with no errors to date.

VERY NICE!
Pros: This RAM works great! Went from 4-6 GB in my system. Even though you cant really see the RAM inside your case even with a window, they still look really nice, with the blue heatsinks and the machined chrome finish.
Cons: None as of now

High quality RAM
Pros: This RAM over clocks fairly well. On stock clock it runs very stable and is extremely fast. Over clocking at times it can get unstable depending on what your other hardware is but for the most part its fine for over clocking. Its very fast, very cheep, and I love it. Did I mention its pretty?
Cons: I cant say that I have any. It seems to run perfectly fine, its passed every test I can throw at it.
Other Thoughts: Buy it!

I like it
Pros: 2 x 2GB for pretty dang cheap. Stable, quick, heat spreaders included.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Built a nice home/office standard duty machine for about 500 dollars: ASUS P5QPL-AM, Celeron E3300, WD 320GB SATA HDD, Lite On DVD Burner, Antec NSK 4480 II case/380W PSU, Win7 x64. Stable, quick, perfect for a home user or office machine with excellent quality components.

great memory
Pros: Just popped them in and works perfectly with windows 7. noticeable upgrade in computer speed from previous memory that only was 1 GB ;-) Definitely worth the money.
Cons: Haven't seen any yet. I don't do the whole overclocking business, so can't say how they operate under those types of conditions.
