You shoul try it.
Pros: I love this keyboard. It is so easy to use and so comfortable! Don't know why I didn't upgrade long ago. Worth the trouble to upgrade. Outstanding in all areas.

Very Satisfied
Pros: I previously had an older Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard that was ready to be replaced. This couldn't have been a better keyboard. The keys are almost silent when typing (except the spacebar, the most used key, go figure) and the design is very nice. I'm happy the number 6 key is on the left as I had been used to this and my games require it to be there!
Cons: The spacebar is excessively loud when pressed. Using the left hand to press it is much louder than the left but I can't seem to break my 20 year habit of using my left hand for the spacebar everytime. Also, I had bought this keyboard in the past but only had PS/2 connections on my old KVM switch...and using a USB to PS/2 converter doesn't work with this keyboard. I had to upgrade my KVM switch in order to use this nice keyboard.
Other Thoughts: Great keyboard, make sure you have all USB connections as a USB to PS/2 converter does not work with this keyboard.

Outstanding keyboard
Pros: Very comfortable, smooth key action, quiet, volume control buttons are nice and work well, healthy for your hands & wrists
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I've used this keyboard for 3+ years. It's the only one I'll use for as long as possible. I've got one at work, one at home, and a spare just in case.
Most of the extra buttons I never use, but I do use the volume, mute, and calculator buttons. The key action, hand angle are all just nice. It won't break the bank and it'll save your wrists, hands and arms.
My main point: it's incredibly comfortable and enjoyable to use.

Comfortable
Pros: Very comfortable. Does feel very natural.
Cons: Tall keyboard. Won't fit (with your hands) under most desks' keyboard drawers. Spacebar doesn't feel quite right.
Other Thoughts: Overall...I like it. Seems to help with my wrists.

Gets the job done
Pros: When i bought this from elsewhere my roommates mentioned that i bought some piece of alien technology just for a keyboard. Great comfort on wrists and hands and the mini-'padding' @ the bottom doesnt wear out like most padding does. 16 function buttons with a page zoom feature in the middle "which I hardly ever use," and a "back/forth" button for page viewing.
Cons: Like with all keyboards it tends to get rather dirty with use. Other problem is when you use the most of the function buttons is that you gotta keep the edges around the buttons clean.
Other Thoughts: I didn't purchase this keyboard via newegg but will definately buy a replacement soon.
This is a pretty epic piece for anything you do on the pc.

Excellent for large hands
Pros: The curve of the keys might not seem like a big deal, but I program software for 8-10 hours a day, and then come home and type some more. The longer you use it, the more apparent the benefits become. It drastically reduces my typing fatigue.
Cons: As others have said, the nonstandard key layout may cause frustration for long time touch typists. The weird arrangement of F keys in particular took extra practice getting used to.
Other Thoughts: I never use the "favorites" keys at the top. Aside from the learning curve, this is absolutely my favorite keyboard. I'm tempted to splurge on the wireless version just to see if it measures up.

A basically good keyboard spoiled by poor build quality
Pros: If you've gotten used to the Microsoft-branded "Natural" ergonomic keyboard layout, this is the current iteration. It's not as good in ergonomic design as the long-discontinued and much-missed Natural Keyboard Pro (the best of the family), but still very comfortable and pleasant to type on, with good key feel. Other reviewers have commented on a noisy space bar, but I can't say I've ever noticed it on either of mine. This is probably another aspect of the production quality problems.
It comes in any color you like as long as you like black with silver-grey trim; personally I could stand to lose the silver-grey trim (particularly since it starts wearing through surprisingly quickly in frequent-contact spots), but black is good. The layout of the main keyboard itself is good, although Microsoft chose for some reason (perhaps misplaced aesthetics) to delete the right Ctrl and Windows keys. Fortunately, they didn't repeat the layout mistakes of the Natural Keyboard Elite.
Cons: This keyboard has several quirks and glitches. On some machines, it's sometimes not recognized as a keyboard at boot, causing a "No keyboard" warning, after which the machine will happily boot and use the keyboard it claims not to have. It's also prone to glitches in which a key you're not even pressing will suddenly start autorepeating. (The one I'm typing on right now likes to suddenly start spewing 4s.) Its biggest flaw, though, is the poor manufacturing quality. This shows up nowhere more plainly than on the keycaps, where the key legends are mere decals. The most frequently-used keycaps wear nearly or completely blank within four to six months. My first one was replaced under warranty without hesitation by Microsoft, although it still worked fine, because of the worn-blank keycaps; that says to me that this is a well-known problem. Four months later, the key decals on the new one had worn off as well. If you don't touch-type, this keyboard will drive you batty.
Other Thoughts: If there's one thing that stands out about the layout of this keyboard, it's the weird features, which include an embedded calculator function that I've never heard of anyone actually using; a second set of (, ) and backspace keys; and a central zoom control that has so far not worked in any application I've tried it in. (Apparently a hack exists to make it act as a scroll control instead.) But perhaps the wackiest is the idea of giving the Fkeys dual "identities", with the normal Fkey identities being the SECONDARY ones, and adding an F-Lock key to switch between them. (Believe me, it can be baffling when you log in one day and your Fkeys aren't working any more, until you remember the F-Lock key to get them back.)
All in all, though, it's the cheap manufacturing quality that dooms this keyboard. Its other flaws would be forgiveable, if it had decent co-molded keycaps whose markings didn't vanish forever within a few months of normal use. This may well be my last MS keyboard.

Spacebar
Pros: Very comfortable feel. I like the button layout.
Cons: The spacebar is extremely loud. So loud that I only used the keyboard for about 30 minutes until I felt obligated to switch to a new keyboard. After reading other reviews, this isn't an uncommon problem. Microsoft was very close on this one..
Other Thoughts: Almost, Microsoft..

Excpected More
Pros: The keyboard rest was very comfortable and the keys had a soft touch. Also liked the favorite buttons.
Cons: Stopped working after about an hour. Just lost power and could not get it to power up again.
Other Thoughts: Was hoping it was just a defective keyboard and would love to have tried get another one and try it but it is out of stock so I guess it will not happen.

Worked Great
Pros: Worked great for two months.
Cons: Look at how it does now! Cafwn yoou b,eieve this? I have to use a virtual keboard to type this! This is the second one in four months!
Other Thoughts: They must be having quality control issues, my first (of four) lasted six years.

Nice try
Pros: Great feel; comfortable; good price
Cons: Spacebar and 'N' key are troublesome
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these at once and one worked fine. The other I returned because the spacebar didn't work. The replacement keyboard now has a problem with the 'N' key. Great keyboard as long as you don't need to use a space or the letter 'N'. Nice try Microsoft - maybe you should stick to operating systems.

Spacebar
Pros: I love everything about the keyboard- Very solid build, key touch is just right. Built in wrist pad is great
Cons: The space bar sticks. If you hit the space bar where your thumbs naturally rest it will stick. I'm already getting used to it but you do need to be careful to hit the space bar in the center.
Other Thoughts: This would be absolutely the finest keyboard I've ever used if the space bar was smooth. If you do a lot of keyboard work this is still worth buying.

Sick Nasty
Pros: This is a good keyboard especially for gaming. It may get a little getting use to though. It is comfortable, and its nice for the wrists. I like the internet buttons and all the customizable buttons.
Cons: Space bar is a little awkward but ill get used to it

This is the worst!
Pros: There was absolutely NOTHING good I could say about this keyboard, - I am INCREDIBLY dissapointed! please see cons below!
Cons: Estimated shipping was "in transit, on time" with scheduled delivery of 12/01/2009.. it was late.. came the next day.. big deal right?.. the keyboard.. There is a serious power issue with it, and it shut my system down three times, while typing.. to do this feedback, I had to use my old keyboard. Also the spacebar SUCKS - makes typing virtually impossible! Learn a lesson.. for keyboards.. go to best buy where you can test the keys and the feel.. I expected something heavier and rugged for the price.. It was heavy, but didn't feel like more than a pile of cheap molded plastic, and it's performance is too bad to rate. I ordered this for carpal tunnel, having used a microsloth curve keyboard that I got at walmart for less than 20 bucks, it was phenom!.. This was supposed to be an upgrade.. I was treating myself to the pricer, but "nicer" model.. NOT!
Other Thoughts: I've never sent anything back to newegg, but this is going back!.. People.. unless you've used the keyboard or tested it out at work, from a friend or at another store, and are SURE it feels right.. don't buy a keyboard online.. it's not like an accessory or a computer component that you don't have to use the way you would an input device. Again! the spacebar would not respond and I had to KEEP backspacing and typing over it sucked so bad.. sooooooo bad.. I am not CLOSE to kidding! . there aren't words, in ANY language to convey what a letdown.. and the power issue!.. WHAT, is up with that? (thud) If you have carpal tunnel, DON'T get this. your wrist will fall off in a week, if you can even use your system with it.

A REAL step down from previous MS Natural 'boards
Pros: Those who want the MS Natural Ergonomic key layout REALLY want it. And this delivers the basic layout and ergo curve.
Cons: The construction is really BAD. The keys themselves are a little rough but not too loud -- but it is the SPACE BAR which is HORRIBLE. It has a high friction and rough throw and any stroke hard enough to register makes a loud "klop" -- it's extremely distracting -- worse than if ALL they keys made the noise. Additionally, once again, the bozos at MS felt compelled to CHANGE EVERYTHING AROUND -- this is my third MS Natural and every 'board forces me to retrain my muscle memory. But this is the WORST layout yet... The "Favorites" keys are possibly the most bizarre mis-step. While some other keys can be configured with customizable hot keys -- I had to assign the MAIL and CALCULATOR keys to FORWARD and BACK media-skip buttons, since MS bizarrely forgot to include those this time. (Utterly weird decision.) But the Favorites buttons can only be assigned to URLs. That's it! And then there's the Favorites button itself -- its only function is to show the assignments of the other 5
Other Thoughts: Really, really REALLY a BIG step backwards. The layout changes are bad enough -- but the crummy construction and key action in a keyboard at this price is absolutely INEXCUSABLE! Oh, yeah... and it doesn't even have a USB port for your goshdarn mouse!!! Oh -- another good one! -- they 'forgot' to include a "Window key" on the right side of the board, even though my previous 'boards had it -- and it was a good feature. They have a superfluous "applications" key (that is hard-wired to open any context menus available) but you can't reassign it to the Start menu of the other Win-key functions. What a piece of JUNK! Really, a bad piece of work. And ESPECIALLY disappointing to someone who LOVED previous MS-Natural Ergo 'boards. And no way to get a good one -- since MS is the only company that makes them.

Pros: replaced an old logitech with this one, and i'm happy with this one. very comfy, the keys aren't "cushy" and have just the right amount of resistance. very sturdy.
Cons: it's big. make sure that if you want to use the bottom attachment to maintain the tilt of the keyboard, that if you're using a pull out drawer to hold your board on your desk, that you have plenty of clearance.
Other Thoughts: wish it had fast forward / rewind buttons on it. it's got volume, mute, and play/pause, but no ff/rw. baffling.

Weird, but in a good way
Pros: High quality keyboard. Strong ergonomic design. Two employees no longer have sore hands.
Cons: Keyboard design takes a little getting used to. You will make more typing mistakes at first.
Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these. Neither were for myself, but for employees who type a lot and complained of sore hands and fingers. In both cases switching to this keyboard fixed the problem. One employee even purchased one for his own use at home.

Great keyboard! While it lasts...
Pros: Great keyboard. Feels great. Has many functions and features. Easy to use and seems quality.
Cons: Breaks after about a year. First one broke 1 month before my 1 year replacement warranty expired through newegg. RMAed without a problem. 1 year later the new one broke again! "Seems" high quality but isnt.
Other Thoughts: I cant remember why the first one broke. Not sure if all keys stopped working or if just one. The most recent failure is due to the "o" key stopped working. Took it apart and there doesnt seem to be any reason for the malfunction. Kinda hard to type when you are missing a vowel. Not in warranty, so im stuck.

Microsoft 4000 Keyboard
Pros: This Keyboard is the greatest keyboard I ever owned in my 30 years of computer use. I have worn out the one I have and plan on buying another shortly. I bought a Logitech G15 for gaming and after 3 days I switched back to my 4000.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: If you want a great all around Keyboard the 4000 is worth the investment.

Great Keyboard
Pros: This keyboard is very comfortable to use all day at work. I really like the reverse slope, which puts my hands in a more natural position. It takes a little getting used to, but it's well worth it.
Cons: -> The space bar starts off a little stiff You can find videos showing how to fix this, but I haven't changed mine (it broke-in and/or I got used to it)
-> The zoom slider in the middle Intuitively this should be a scroll instead. Google "microsoft 4000 scroll" (without quotes) to find a simple fix to change it to a scroll. Still, it's crazy to me that the zoom/scroll thing isn't an option in the software. So -1 egg for that.
->It's a tall keyboard This isn't a big deal for me, but others might need to consider this.... After I had this for a few months I got a second one for home, where my desk is a little higher than at work (or maybe my chair is just shorter?). Using the riser for the reverse slope puts the front of the keyboard too high for my wife to use. And it's too tall to fit on a slide-out keyboard tray under the desk (with the riser in place, it's about 3.5" tall). I keep a second, wireless keyboard on the keyboard tray for my wife to use.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for work about 7 months ago. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for home a few months later.

Pros: Good keyboard. It's surprisingly very comfortable. The hot keys are great and the extra buttons do their job. Best part about extra buttons is that they are openly changeable. You can program them to whatever you need.
Cons: It's not a big deal but it's too bad you can't scroll left and right. The zoom button can be used to move up and down, too bad there isn't a left or right toggle.

Pros: best keyboard i've ever had. hands down. typing is very quiet, the feel is natural, and the design suits my system perfectly. it's so much easier to use than your standard keyboard. since i've had it, my WPM has gone from 85 to 100. i am very satisfied
Cons: nothing. nothing at all

Poor
Pros: It was OK.
Cons: Drivers would not allow Windows screen saver ti engage. It is a problem Microsoft is aware of with some software. Their fix is to unload the other software! Unbelievable. It stopped working on the right side after only 2 months. Buy something else

Nice, but fragile
Pros: If you're at all fond of ergonomic keyboards, this is about as perfect as perfect can be. It's functional, comfortable and beautiful. Even though they keep seeing early deaths on me, I've gotten this keyboard 7 times.
Cons: Ok, as stated before, I've had this keyboard 7 times. Why? Because if you spill ANY liquid on this thing, even as little as 1/4 teaspoon, it's done. Forever. If you ever drink coffee on your desk, don't buy this thing unless you're willing to buy another in a few months. You can let the thing dry out and most of the keys will eventually work, but it'll never work the way it's supposed to. Again, I'm currently on my seventh identical model of this exact same keyboard. I really wish they'd make a waterproof version.
Other Thoughts: I love and hate this thing. It's like an abusive boyfriend and I'm its submissive girlfriend who keeps coming back in tears after running away to her mother's place for the weekend.

Wonderful Keyboard
Pros: Nice ergonomic design with the raised lift makes resting your palms nice. Haven't had as many issues with pain and find the split design great for reference of keys.
Cons: No option for a backlit keyboard in this design. Also sometimes its acts a little funny with VMWare but I think its more of an issue with the software than the keyboard itself.

Good keyboard
Pros: Comfort! Most comfortable board I have owned. The split of the keys works well, was concerned about that but it worked out well. The curve matches your hand alignment. Wrist rest is very comfy and large.
Cons: Volume controls don't work with full screen games which is a real pain. Never really used the zoom functions in the 3 years I had it. Software doesn't have much customization for the keys. The N key can be annoying since it's the size of about 2 keys.
Other Thoughts: Spilled watermelon juice on it, ended up not working. The board may seem like a pain to get use to but once you pick it up, it's great. The angle of the keys is like that of your hands. Usually when you hold your hands out, your hands are angled slightly, it matches with the keys. With normal keyboards you have to bend your wrist. Never used wrist rest before this keyboard. It's almost a necessity now.

Best keyboard you will EVER use.
Pros: easy to use, EXTREMELY comfortable, very functional good music controls
Cons: I wish it had a (previous | next) song button so I could easily skip between songs
Other Thoughts: I've purchased this keyboard a number of times now, and I *still* love it.
(I've reordered it because I get gunk in it, food, etc, so keys become sticky -- which is my fault, not the keyboard's fault)

Space Bar Is Terrible
Pros: Great feel, great layout, great features.
Cons: Space bar is a horrible Achilles heel of this design. Did it get any usability testing at all? Very sticky, very hard to depress with your thumbs at the edge of the bar, which is WHERE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON AN ERGONOMIC KEYBOARD!!!
Ahem, sorry. The keyboard was great, but if I can't press the space bar while typing at speed, it's a no go.
Other Thoughts: I'm getting an old Natural Keyboard Pro. Microsoft, you had a chance to sell me on a new generation of keyboard, but I'll wait until you get it right.

Hard to press key!
Pros: Good looking - just the right amount of extra features I like the feel and angle of the keyboad. I've had it about 7 months.
Cons: ou have to hammer the "Y" ke to get it to register. Not the best ke board I've had.

sub-par quality
Pros: Very comfortable after you get used to it
Cons: Owned one less than 2 years before the M and N keys needed to be pressed down hard to make them work. Bought another to replace it and it's worse. Now, the N, U, and Y keys need to be mashed down hard in order to register. Also, the spacebar is noisier on the new one.
Other Thoughts: I'm typing this review with this keyboard, and it's taking twice as long as normal because of the defective keys. What are the odds of getting two bad ones in a row? I'm staying away from Microsoft products. They seem to have a lot of hardware problems.

Closest you can get to the old Natural
Pros: Basically the same layout as the old MS Natural that's been around for the last 15 years. This one adds USB so you don't have to use an adapter if you've gotten used to the layout.
Best thing is it doesn't have the tiny, screwy ins/del/home/end keypad.
Cons: The F Lock key is kind of pointless, don't you /always/ want to leave it on?

Pros: Great ergonomic keyboard. Everything is where I expected it to be and it fit my hands. I was worried about switching from my last one, but this fit great. The extra buttons on top of the numpad are nice too. At first I ignored them, but then I came to use the backspace and equal sign all the time when working.
Cons: The only one I can think of is that the numbers go 123456 - 7890. Most have the row end with 5, so it takes a bit of getting used to. The "Media play/pause" is questionable too. I'm not sure if this is the keyboard or Winamp however. I assume it was made to be used with WMP since it is a Microsoft product.

Solid Keyboard
Pros: Great keyboard, comfortable, excellent function keys, programmable keys. This is a good keyboard for anyone who is willing to sacrifice a bit more space for functionality.
Cons: Mine died after over 3 years. Evidently I wore out the "l" key along with several others on the number pad. But honestly, that's not bad considering how frequently I used it.
It's a bit on the large side.
Other Thoughts: Too bad there's not a lifetime warranty.

Need another
Pros: Great ergonomic keyboard, once you're used to the shape of them. Function keys sufficient in number and function. A friend gave me this one because of a hard-to-press M key. I gotta make sure I hit "m" just right sometimes, hey, for free? It's worth it.
Cons: M key hard to press sometimes ... misses when typing fast, you have to hit it just right. Probably NOT an issue for anyone else.
Other Thoughts: Just checking in on the price of this KB, because I intend to buy another for my computer when its on sale, and move the one I'm using now [as I type this] to the 'Guest' computer (that I use nearly as much as the 'Primary' comp). Serious. Aside from not being spill-proof I don't think, and until we have keyboards like in the Alien Autopsy video (cool, and I'm ready to learn one), this is probably as good as any keyboard I've used.

Great keyboard
Pros: I find the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard shape to be the most comfortable. It does however make switching between this and other keyboards a little difficult once you've adjusted. The media buttons are handy, mute, volume, play, calculator are the only buttons that I ever use
Cons: Lots of extra buttons that I rarely use
Other Thoughts: The few people that I know that do use these, seem to love them once they are familiar but it takes some time to get used to the different key placement

Space Bar Horror
Pros: mice ergonomic payout, angle is great with the extra riser in the front. leather palm rest is top notch, keyboard looks good
Back and forward keys are great to use with your left thumb while surfing. a little stiff though.
Key are very quite and pretty easy to depress which is important for ergonomics
Since you cant have a keyboard that doesnt have a space bar all the cool features of it dont matter.
Cons: SPACE BAR!!! you very frequently have to hit it harder or double hit it to get it to go down. It is a huge space bar with only one button under the middle so if you hit the sides the key bends just enough to stick. horrible design probably saved them 4 pennies or when they prototyped just couldnt tell it would happen.
Other Thoughts: Why o why do you make an ergonomic keyboard with the numpad still on the right? does the right hand really need to use the mouse, arrow keys, numpad, and do every besides type words? The left hand has it way to easy, and i would love to scroll and punch numbers with my left hand while navigating with the right. Think of the performance improvements.
Also if checkout the Colemak keyboard layout. It has the benefits of Dvorak but only moves a few keys so it is way easier to learn, and their philosophy is to just use a standard keyboard and touch type like you should.
I will update this if the space bar loosens up in a few days. Otherwise Back to NewEgg you go since MS wont support OEM products unless you pay them $35
I bought the OEM combo from NewEgg that has the keyboard and a basic mouse for less than the keyboard alone.

Great but doesn't hold up.
Pros: This keyboard feels great, works well, is very quiet and extremely comfortable.
Cons: I have owned two of these keyboards. Both of them ended up with stuck or non-responsive keys within two years of purchase. Neither keyboard had liquids spilled in them and both were blown out regularly with compressed air.
Other Thoughts: I loved typing on this keyboard I just can't justify paying for another one when I know I will have to replace it in a year and a half. While your mileage may vary, there are other great keyboards out there that hold up better. While I use my computer daily, I don't do a ton of typing at home. The sad thing is, I have had the same cheap Microsoft Natural keyboard at work for almost 4 years and it still works great.

Many great features
Pros: Zoom button, leather wrist rest, build quality, key placement etc...
Cons: The keys are a little "cushy" but not bad enough to remove an egg.
Other Thoughts: i bought this keyboard for my wife who is a medical coder. She LOVES it and refuses to use anything else. I have used it several times to work from home (PACS Admin & Web Development) and fell in love with it also. The zoom button is great for PhotoShop as someone else has mentioned.

Great For Programmers
Pros: PS: I'm not a fan of 'gamer keyboards' that look like they transform into optimus prime and have exactly 1337 keys, more than one knows what to do with.
As a programmer, I use more of the keyboard than most people, most of the time. I came from a Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard. It took a few days to get used to the ergonomic design, but after that initial break in, this keyboard becomes really comfortable.
The leather padding on the bottom feels just perfect, not a cheap leathery feel. It doesn't stick if your palms get humid, and it's never too hot or too cold.
There's been some talk here in the reviews about the space bar being 'broken', of not being able to hit it from the sides. I don't have to press the space bar any harder than any other key. All of the keys are really easy to press, really bouncy and the response for each key is just perfect.
The build quality is exceptional and it looks really nice especially if your other peripherals are black a
Cons: There aren't any cons I can think of. The reverse tilt bar that comes with the keyboard is optional, you can take it off. I took it off because I didn't really have any interest in it. I tried it and it didn't feel all that bad, in fact I'm pretty sure most people would like it if they tried it, but I had no use for it and I didn't feel like having to get used to it. But like I said, you can take it off if you don't want it.
One other thing that is just my personal opinion. The home/end/page down/page up key cluster on the middle of the keyboard is the standard layout. This is usually a plus for most people, but I was used to Microsoft Mulimedia Keyboard's different layout. This isn't that much of a con though, it's a good thing to finally get used to the standard layout.
Some people said that you cant press more than 3 keys at once which makes it bad for games. I play TF2 and some other games and am able to press more than that. Im sure theres a limit, just not obtrusive.
Other Thoughts: All in all, I highly recommend this keyboard especially for programmers. This keyboard is highly praised on sites such as codinghorror and stackoverflow. Even if you are not a programmer, usually a keyboard that is great for a programmer means it is great for everyone else in general, given that a programmer uses more of the keyboard most of the time. For example, we make vast use of the symbols on the number row like !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), and the brackets, braces, slashes, anything you can think of, we use it. Aside from this, programmers often type for hours on end using many of these keys, so we definitely want something that is comfortable. Therefore programmer opinion is a great benchmark for a nice durable, and comfortable (ergonomic) keyboard.
Like I said, I went form a standard keyboard to an ergonomic keyboard because I was beginning to get some wrist pain, and I love it. It feels very great to type on.

The best keyboard.
Pros: This is probably the best keyboard by hardcore use. Its perfect. From the perfects slants of the sides which make it almost and uttermost ease of typing. Most people think what I said is false, which can be if you don't know how to properly type. since its meant for left hand to left hand and only to left hand and vice versa with the other hand. But it really is that good.
Cons: The only con is it isn't that well water resistant. Mine broke due to a spill of a liquid I cant recall but will be purchasing one in the future.

Best keyboard I've ever used.
Pros: Super comfortable, easy software to customize buttons, nice feel and smooth quiet keys.

Best ergonomic keyboard available
Pros: This is the most comfortable keyboard I've ever used, and my first ergonomic keyboard.
I've noticed all the other ergonomic keyboards are barely comparable to the 4000 which has the middle area of the keyboard more elevated, plus the middle cut off in two so that the keys can bend to the most optimum posture angle.
You also have 5 customizable keys on the top, not to mention any of the other keys can be customized too.
The space bar is wonderful, I have no idea what others are criticizing it for, you can press it from the sides, middle, it works and feels just as good as any other keyboard.
The wrist pad feels firm but soft, with a leather-like material that has some cushion underneath.
It's just as others say, you'll feel odd when you use normal keyboards because you'll realize how bad the posture is on normal keyboards.
As far as playing games with this keyboard goes, it's very enjoyable and feels great.
Oh and let's not forget it's not wireless!
Cons: Unfortunately there isn't an exact replica of this keyboard dubbed 'gaming edition' with light up keys, USB ports, detachable number pad, maybe even a small display constructed from LCD or OLED.
The wrist pad isn't detachable, but it's oh-so comfortable. :) The wrist pad curves with the keyboard anyways.
Doesn't come paired with a matching ergonomic laser mouse, which by the way there doesn't seem to be any decent wired ergonomic mice out there, the only ones that come close are wireless models from Microsoft, and the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer but unfortunately it's an optical mouse.
Other Thoughts: If only Microsoft could get their R&D straight for their gaming keyboard & mice lineup, their Sidewinder X6 keyboard is a huge disappointment.
It would also be nice if Microsoft would drop the obsession with wireless keyboards & mice.
That would yield them cheaper hardware which leaves room for much innovative technology to be incorporated into their keyboards & mice.

I would buy again
Pros: Great layout, much less cramped than regular keyboard.
Cons: It wasn't free? and now I can't use a regluar keyboard without hitting a bunch of other keys... After 1 1/2 years the start button, V & 1 key stopped working but all I did was call Microsoft and they are sending me a free replacement. Now I have to use this crampy regular keyboard until my replacement gets here. It would have gotten 5 eggs if it hadnt crapped out after 1 1/2 years...
Other Thoughts: I wish they made a backlit keyboard of the same design, I would buy one in a hearbeat.

Noisy space bar; keys stopped working
Pros: Comfortable keyboard. It was my first ergo board and I was skeptical at first, but after using this board for a while it's hard to go back to normal keyboards. The five programmable launcher keys at the top are nice. Nice and silent (with the exception of the space bar, see cons).
Cons: The space bar was WAY too noisy. You might think I'm just being picky but if you could hear it in person you would agree--it was far noisier than the other keys and any other space bar I've ever heard. I concluded this must be a manufacturing defect because I swapped it for another model and the second one was fine. I used the second keyboard happily for many months and one day random keys just stopped working. I'd press the keys and nothing would happen. I tried it on more than one computer and still nothing, so I don't think it was a software problem. I did NOT spill anything on it or physically damage the keyboard in any way that I'm aware of; I was typing normally and it simply stopped working. I tried removing the keys and didn't see anything wrong. I've never had a keyboard flake out like that; this is unacceptable.
For the record, the keys which don't work are j, k, l, period, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, -, =, and backspace.
Other Thoughts: I really liked this keyboard and am very disappointed it stopped working. I suppose I'm just unlucky, as searching Google didn't turn up any similar cases, but by reading these negative reviews, it must have happened to at least a few others.

Microsoft has great support.
Pros: I've reviewed this before, and as of last week, I've loved using this keyboard. Just recently though, it had died, and I called Microsoft and they sent me a brand new keyboard free of charge! Thing is, I got it as an openbox w/ mouse for 20 bucks.....and it apparently had coffee spilled on it after farther inspection after it died. (It had worked fine prior to this.
Cons: yup
Other Thoughts: Support like this is unheard of. I wish they'd update windows with the same amount of quickness put into it.

The confort you need
Pros: Once you get used to (do to the unusual shape), is the best keyboard you can get, it's the way your hands supposed to go. Been using it for more than 2 years and works perfectly. You will notice how bad your hands were positioned when you use regular keyboards again.
Cons: keys are a bit hard, and the spacebar is harder. I wish it got a USB hub. (for my mouse, etc)
Other Thoughts: I use my computer more than 12 hours a day, never failed.

Easy on the Wrists
Pros: This keyboard has proven to be easy on my wrists and the palm rest is nice/made of durable material. When writing code or reports for long periods of time this keyboard offers enough support to keep my hands form getting tired or wrists from getting sore quickly. Also the curved key design makes some keys more accessible and ergo increased my typing speed.
Cons: On the down side though it did take a little while to get used to the key layout of an ergonomic keyboard. Also it is not easy to transport this keyboard because it is not flat.
Other Thoughts: Works great with Vista and it will indeed run on Ubuntu without the driver software.

Almost perfect.
Pros: 1."Natural" Ergo Layout 2. Matches modern black/silver equipment. 3. Soft wrist rest. 4. Useful media keys. 5. Return to "T" arrow keys from Diamond Pattern (ie, 1.0 over 2.0 for beige natural users)
Cons: 1. Keys do not have same tactile feel as Natural 1.0 or 2.0 2. Spacebar not reliable 3. Rubber feet on bottom tend to come loose when used for gaming/etc, need to be reseated and cleaned frequently (could use an upgrade on those). 4. Printing will wear off keys with use.
Other Thoughts: Almost perfect keyboard. If it had a built-in usb hub and the same tactile feel I loved from the Natural 1.0/2.0, it would be perfect (it would be perfect+ if it also had better rubber feet/grip to desk).

Great keyboard, always loved Microsoft Hardware.
Pros: Keyboard is a great ergonomic design. No complains here. The cushion is fabulous on the wrists. I love the prop-up plastic it came with to enhance this keyboard. This is not a gaming keyboard. Period. People who review this whom are gamers thinking that this is a top-performing keyboard are mistaken. This keyboard is great on the typing aspect, but performance with gaming are up to par, but not well pressing multiple keys at once thinking you'll get the reaction you want. Oh well. The favorite keys up top are great for shortcuts if you utilize your keyboard for quick-key programs. I rarely use the zoom in the middle. I started to use the back/forward buttons below the space bar more now. It's actually nifty keys.
Cons: Only con really is the spacebar. It's quiet on the left and loud on the right. Only complaint, but wouldn't trade it for the world. Not enough of a con to take down a star/egg. Now that would be ridiculous..
Other Thoughts: Gigabyte UD3P Intel E8500 500watt Antec Earthwatt PSU ATI Radeon, Saphire 3850x2, X-fired. Here on the Egg for less than 100 bones. Great deal, IMO. Couldn't pass it up. 8gb ram PC1066 1.5 tb HD / 2x300GB WD Raptors Raided. Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum. This keyboard, of course. Love it.

No Complaints
Pros: Very comfortable, I can type for hours with no fatigue of my wrists. Natural feeling.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I realized quickly that I had some bad habits with respect to my QWERTY typing skills (because of the split keyboard). Been using it for about two or three weeks now and I am getting used to typing correctly.

great keyboard for the money
Pros: -Design: curved and sloped down -Price -Padding -Functional Keys -Quiet -Included software is easy to use
Cons: None that i can think of now.
Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this to professional people that type a lot at their work. I got this for my work primarily and I couldn't be happier. The overall design and comfort are well worth the price and the multi-functionality of the keyboard is welcomed as well.

Excellent
Pros: Feels very good to type on. Is fairly quiet. Looks great. Built well.
Cons: Doesn't have next track, previous track, or stop buttons like my old Microsoft keyboard did. I can probably assign them to other buttons if I install the keyboard software, but it's not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: My friend has had this same keyboard for a couple years now, and it still works great. It even survived a fairly bad beverage spill. Having used it I knew it would be a great upgrade for my old noisy keyboard.

not quite ready for prime time
Pros: It looks cool. It has a cool shape. I can envision comfortably typing things. The normal-sized keys have a nice mellow feel to them, quiet, in a way, almost calming. I can envision comfortably typing on this keyboard.
Cons: The oversized keys (inner side of the split area) require a different level of pressure than the regular size keys, and I think that's difficult to deal with. My feeling is that all of the keys should be equally easy to push. It just kind of messes you up when you have to reach for an "h" and press harder than you would have for the "j".
The space bar was "defective" on my unit. Literally, you can't push the thing when you're in the nice, mellow mood that the rest of the keys put you into. Of course you _can_ push it, but it requires significantly more effort than it does pushing the oversize letter keys. Plus it makes an unpleasant sound.
Some of the keys are stretched out pretty far from one another. I have pretty big hands, and I found myself feeling like I was doing a finger-stretching exercise. You won't be able to keep your wrists still - you'll find yourself moving your entire hands around to reach certain keys (unless you have extremely large hands or long fingers).
Other Thoughts: I was feeling an uncomfortable feeling in my hands and wrists about 5 minutes or less into using this keyboard. As much as I wanted to like it, I could feel that this thing was harmful for my hand/wrist health. Maybe it's just me though.
The keyboard forces you to keep your hands in a strange angle, and cupped, which may or may not be comfortable or "good" for you, probably depending on your desk, adjustability of your keyboard tray, and a host of other factors. The tilting thingy it comes with didn't help. I found it painful (I mean actually, physically painful) almost immediately.
I don't think you should have to move your hands around as much when you're reaching for keys - they should retain the angling and the separation of the hands and the general design is cool, and the feel of the standard sized keys is perfectly acceptable for a keyboard of this price range, but the oversized keys screw everything up and the space bar is a complete joke. Maybe mine was just defective.

Just about the perfect keyboard
Pros: I just bought another of these after using the first one for three years of long hours. I had some early carpal tunnel issues from using a laptop's keyboard exclusively during long hours at work, and this keyboard stopped my pain cold within a few days (I use the "gull wing" to elevate the edge of the keyboard closest to me). The pain has not returned.
I also love having the back/forward keys just below the thumbs, the calculator/volume/play-pause buttons are super handy (never realized how much I used the calculator!), and the app shortcuts are nice although I forget about them sometimes. The zoom toggle is EXCELLENT for graphics work! My new version of this keyboard also has much quieter keys than the old one (except for the space bar), which is quite nice especially during speakerphone calls. :-)
Cons: I'm hard on keyboards (apparently I pound keys pretty good, already killed the keyboard on a laptop), and the only thing I could ask for out of this keyboard would be longer life. Three years isn't too disappointing, though. (Hate that my X key died three years to the DAY of purchase, when it's a 3-year warranty! Everything else is fine.) I still gave it 5 eggs due to the ergonomics and handy extra buttons. Lastly, the lettering on the most-used keys wore off after awhile, but if you touch type that's not an issue.
Other Thoughts: If you have any wrist/forearm pain and you spend a lot of time typing, BUY THIS! If you don't, you'll probably still enjoy the extra features.

Pros: It is a great layout, especially if you are having hand and wrist issues and need to type allot. It is comfortable and has good features and as far as those two areas go is the best thing you will get for the price.
Cons: It is very temperamental !!!! I am looking for a new keyboard because of this. First one lasted 8 months and then out of no where keys started not working. Reinstall didn't work. Second keyboard lasted another 8 months and same issue. So seriously... Microsoft could do a little better with the quality.
Other Thoughts: Like I have stated it is a the best keyboard you will get for the price if you do allot of typing .....HOWEVER be prepared to replace it about every 8 months. maybe it is because my wife types allot but I have abused my Logitech keyboards and have never had an issue with them

This keyboard is amazing
Pros: Very slick design, comfortable keys, and amazing wristpad (hardly any pronation thus barely any constraint on your wrists!). Also, multiple function keys!
Cons: My volume keys don't work (but then again I just bought it, so I'll look further into it or call Microsoft).
Other Thoughts: This keyboard is quite unique. There are two kinds of individuals: those who love ergonomic keyboards, and those who love ordinary keyboards (and the two usually do not mix AT ALL!). Therefore, if you are trying ergonomic for the first time, chances are you won't be pleased no matter what model/brand you get. Also, as far as the space bar that everyone complains about, it's working absolutely fine for me (and I'm a lefty who uses the right thumb, the way it ought to be if you took typing in school :-)

A departure from the norm
Pros: This keyboard has a number of ergonomic features that make it very comfortable to use.
Cons: It could be difficult, at first, to get used to. Fortunately some of the features are actually removable (like the wrist riser), if you're having a problem coping with all the ergonomic goodness.
Other Thoughts: It looks pretty sexy. If you're opposed to sexy, then you should probably pass on this keyboard and buy generic.

Great keyboard
Pros: Great keyboard, very comfortable, very nice layout, love the scroll wheel, forward/backward buttons and favorite keys.
Cons: Space bar is a bit rough im right handing so i hit the space bar with my right thumb so the right side of the space bar is a bit rough for me but when gaming i hit space with left thumb, left side of space bar and its just perfect.
Other Thoughts: If you like egronomic design id recommend getting this i had a very old white egronomics elite keyboard iv owned for 5+years so im totally used to the design, it is difficult using standard keyboards.

slipping quality?
Pros: The layout is good and very easy to adjust to, even if you're coming from a laptop keyboard. The keys are easy to reach and provide decent feedback.
Cons: The spacebar is worse than the cheapest $5 keyboard you can imagine. It is difficult to press down (and I'm used to an old IBM keyboard that was very stiff) and worst of all, it sticks - a lot. So the keyboard is nearly unusable, because I have to constantly look up to see that depressing the space key actually results in a space.
Other Thoughts: I have a hard time believing that the keyboard has received so many high ratings if the space bar has always been this bad. The keyboard says "Designed in Redmond, WA USA" on the bottom, next to "Made in China (S)." So I don't guess we know who really made it, or how many different manufacturers there are.

Pros: This keyboard is great! Soft leather palm rests, great function and hot keys, this keyboard has it all. Zoom function is a great little feature and the function key setup is pretty sweet too. Trust me you'll love this keyboard
Cons: Wasn't free but almost!

spacebar
Pros: *ergonomic layout *shortcut keys
Cons: *the spacebar has become extremely stiff / hard to press down without excessive force; so much that it will greatly affect typing speed. *spacebar is VERY loud.. ANNOYING !!!
Other Thoughts: wasn't worth the shipping costs sending it back to CA... guess i'll have to suck it up. i wouldn't sell this poorly crafted junk to anyone in good conscience.

Best Keyboard I've Ever Owned!
Pros: Overall excellent keyboard. Has a more natural shape than other ergonomic keyboards and has an overall nice feel. Much better than Microsoft's previous ergonomic keyboard and does not have the annoying repositioning of arrow keys/page up and down that many other ergonomic keyboards have.
Cons: There are some buttons on it that are fairly useless like the zoom wheel in the middle which probably should have been a scroll wheel. Not a big complaint at all though!
Other Thoughts: I'd highly recommend this keyboard!

Dont do it
Pros: Great design, love the style and the short cuts.
Cons: The space bar is absolutely horrid. i do not mean that it is just bad, it is nearly unusable. Your typing speed will drop drastically from having to remove a hand to hammer down the space bar. All the keys are fairly soft and quiet except the space which can almost be heard from another room when its forced to go down.
How microsoft sleeps with their name on this is beyond me. This one key is so bad that there is noway this design was never tested after first assembled or it would not have gotten a green light.
Other Thoughts: Fix the space bar and add a couple usb ports and this could be the best keyboard dreamed up.
I should have listened to the other reviewers but i didnt believe it could be as bad as they said with it being microsoft and all but it really was worse then i thought possible. Maybe i just got a bad one but what i received is pathetic to the point ill think twice before ever purchasing anything with the mircosoft name on it again.

Pros: very comfy Keyboard the keys are soft to the touch and easy to type with
Cons: Space bar was a little bit loud and hard to hit sometiems if you didn't hit it int he right spot.
Definately not spill proof as I had it for 6 months and my then 2 year old spilled my wine on the it and poof it was done for.
Other Thoughts: the keyboard will take some time to get used to, but it is a very comfy keyboard to use I would liken it to the cadalac of keyboards

Words are not enough
Pros: This keyboard is designed perfectly. It lets you keep your hands in a comfortable and natural position. The programable keys (1 - 5) across the top are handy for opening commonly used applications. The usual media control buttoms are right there too (play/pause/vol+/vol-/mute, but it also has a button for email, internet, calculator, etc. The back/forward buttons below the spacebar are surprisingly handy. Microsoft really thought of everything.
Cons: This keyboard is usually expensive. My company bought me one for work and it cost over $80 from a well known office supply chain. I got myself a used one for home from a well known auction site and it cost $40. Thanks to NewEgg, I'm buying 2 extras at this price in case they ever stop making them, because they are that good.
Other Thoughts: Like many touch typists, I was getting carpal tunnel. At first I had no idea why my hands/wrists were hurting so bad. Finally, I realized it didn't hurt so much on the weekends. A co-worker near me had just had surgery for it and warned me to take steps quick. He suggested a ergo keyboard, but his doc said to make sure not to incline the front of the keyboard (this is what makes it get bad faster). After the first day of use, I had NO pain at all. I was amazed.

Favorite Keyboard Ever
Pros: Elevated ergonomic design reduces stress on carpel tunnel Key position is excellent. Special keys are large again (old models reduced the size of the insert, home, delete, keys) Indicator lights are in front, visible and convenient
Cons: No USB ports (just a wish really)
Other Thoughts: The front elevated design is the best for an ergonomic keyboard. I have two of these keyboards, one for home and one for the office. Typing on a regular keyboard makes one realize how cramped it is.

Excellent Keyboard!
Pros: Fantastically designed keyboard. Well placed back and forward buttons convenient for web browsing- not to forget the zoom function in the middle of the keyboard. Great layout for extended periods of typing- It's a subtle difference in the wrists until you go back to a normal keyboard, ouch!
Cons: The main problem I have with this keyboard is the space bar. The level of cushion on the keys is fine, but on certain larger keys such as the space bar, its extended length will sometime prohibit a complete push down and will stick ever so slightly. It only requires a slightly more vigorous stroke to make it work, but its just enough to upset a typing-strength rhythm.
Other Thoughts: The space bar problem is only a minor inconvenience, and can be worked around easily. If you have a smaller desk that has one of those little pull-out trays, or are limited to very small amounts of space you might consider the dimensions of the keyboard as it has a tendency to be just a bit larger than most standard keyboard sized spaces usually are.

pretty good, but not perfect
Pros: This one is taking me a while to get used to, but the angle of the keyboard is pretty sweet after you use it for even a day. I can tell the strain is less on my wrist already. Keys are soft.
Cons: SPACEBAR SUCKS. If this space bar worked right I would give the keyboard a perfect, but wow what a goof up at R&D. You cannot press down the outer 1/4 of each side of the space bar without major resistance. Basically If I would have bought this in a store I probably would have returned this keyboard because of this, but I'm sort of retraining my typing style to use the center of the space bar. If it had the spacebar of my old keyboard natural pro it would be perfect.
Other Thoughts: I never thought this would be a feature I would want, but backlit keys would help alot on this. Being totally black combined with the angle of the keyboard it is hard to see the keys when you look down at them.

Keyboard
Pros: Works great once you get used to the design differences.
Cons: It's extremely hard to go back to a regular keyboard.
Other Thoughts: I'm on my second keyboard because I couldn't go back to a regular keyboard. My dog thought the first keyboard cord was a chew toy.

Very comfortable
Pros: I just ordered this for work and it arrived yesterday and so far I really like it.
What I like with this new model is the wrist pads, makes it very comfortable. I will buy another one for home. Very happy with it.
Cons: A bit bulky but I guess it has to be for the design
Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd M$ Natural KB style, at home I still have the original one with the Natural KB Pro with the Multi-media buttons and also have the wireless optical desktop. So needless to say I really like the natural style.

Looks good, works does not
Pros: Nice wrist pad, comfortable.
Cons: You must SLAM the space bar to make it work, or use both thumbs. Some keys work only intermittently - N, T are the worst offenders.

Comfortable
Pros: - Great feel - Solid construction - Soft/quiet keypresses - Great key feedback - Best investment any typist/programmer can make
Cons: - Space bar is a little noisy. Unless you hit it just right (in the center with little force) it makes a much louder noise than all of the other keys.
Other Thoughts: I've been using the G15 to program on and with the way I keep my elbows on my arm rests of my char I had to bend my wrists for the home row. This keyboard allows me to not only not bend my wrists but with the negative wrist-prop up thingy allows for good posture and very easy typing. I bought an OEM version and the problems with the space bar were much, much worse.
If you look at the OEM version DO NOT GET IT. I bought one from newegg and the space bar was terrible.

Further experiences
Pros: Nice, well-behaved keyboard for general purpose use. Wrist rest is fairly comfortable. Calculator button is handy. Has a good combination of media keys. Keys themselves seem well built.
Cons: Labels seem to like to wear off of some keycaps. Ghosting problems make it not particularly suited for gaming, which is a shame because I have not seen a split gaming keyboard. Programmable buttons lag somewhat when I'm in Halo PC, which makes using one to start an MP3 timer hard. Programmable buttons also can't be programmed to do completely arbitrary actions. Split layout can be slightly awkward for gaming.
Other Thoughts: A little big for the desk space I have. My parents don't like split keyboards at all. So, I'd buy this for someone who's used to split 'boards.

Excelent Product
Pros: Out of all keyboards I've ever used - this one i liked the most. Have been using it for over a year with no problems. Very confortable key positioning improved my typing speed significantly. The hot key choice is also great. In my opinion, those are exactly the keys most people would use.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: Lighting would be nice, but oh well... can't have everything.

Different but better
Pros: Very comfortable and natural hand position. Good keystroke feel. Nice hot key functions. Long USB cable.
Cons: Not lighted
Other Thoughts: Not for someone who types with one finger. The "natural" shape takes some getting use to but improved my typing speed.

Great for those suffering from Carpal Tunnel
Pros: Bought the MSFT 7000 from a brick n mortar today. The Keyboard from the 7000 is identical to this one. It works great with OSX and I'm already within a few hours of working with it and feeling a little better.Even the pins and needles sensation has subsided a bit. MS provided great support software for configuring the keyboard on my mac.
Cons: Like most MS products its ugly as sin. The learning curve is a bit of a challenge if you are used to a typical keyboard layout. Over the years I developed some bad habits since I work a lot with graphics packages that require oddball key combo gestures so its going to take a little while to get used to it.
Other Thoughts: If you are suffering from pain from working behind a keyboard for extended periods you can't go wrong. I love my the way my apple keyboard looks but my poor wrists just couldn't take it anymore. :-(

Cons: none at the moment

Wow
Pros: This keyboard is comfortable! My hands rest perfectly on it, and it actually wasn't that hard to switch from a 'normal' keyboard to this one. It will help in my defense against my hands having troubles from my frequent typing.
Cons: It does, at first, slow your WPM down. Slowly I'm getting back to where i was.
Other Thoughts: Works well with Vista.

great keyboard
Pros: very comfortable and easy on your wrists. I like the padded palm rests. I replaced one of the original Microsoft split keyboards with this one and the new one is much quieter.
Cons: The keyboard replaced several common keyboard shortcuts (such as Ctrl+S to save documents, F7 to spellcheck) with new shortcuts using the function keys. You can use the F-Lock key to force the keyboard to revert back to the originals, but after several months of use I don't see the point in changing these to begin with. <shrug> To each his or her own.
Other Thoughts: This is one of those products which people seem to either really love or really hate. This is my third Microsoft split keyboard and I think they are great (once I got used to typing with them). Bought this one through newegg and it arrived *very* quickly. I've had mine for about four months now and it works great. As mentioned above, if you're used to using a lot of keyboard shortcuts, don't forget about the F-Lock. =)

looks good, bad in practice
Pros: Very nice feel, typing comes naturally and easily.
Cons: A lot of my keys are broken. A couple weeks after I started using it the function keys all but broke completely (if I spend thirty seconds or so mashing one it sometimes works) and now the rest of them are starting to fade. A lot of my letter keys don't work well; they're very sticky, enough that I have to go back and retype most of my "y"s. Also, a minor complaint but it's a bit bulky.
Other Thoughts: Not really a complaint but I never use the top row of keys.

A really good keyboard
Pros: Very comfortable. Media keys are actually useful. The pain in my wrists stopped after I started using this keyboard.
Cons: Takes about 1-2 weeks to get used to. (coming from a laptop keyboard)
Other Thoughts: I use this keyboard for about 10 hours every day (computer programmer) and I highly recommend it. Took me about 2 weeks to get used to it and now I type even faster than I used to with my old keyboard. The padded area is comfortable and the plastic does not feel cheap.

Nice keyboard
Pros: Ergonimic design - Easy on hands/wrists for long periods of typing.
Lots of hot keys to save time from grabbing the mouse.
Cons: None really, but I am still getting used to the number row. (I'm used to pressing the number 5 with my index finger instead of the number 6 on a standard QWERTY keyboard.)
Other Thoughts: The attachment on the bottom of the keyboard does make the keyboard stand up high, so you have to pull the keyboard all the way out if you have a desk with a sliding keyboard shelf like I do. (Though I do believe you can take the bottom attachment off.)

Best Keyboard I've ever used
Pros: Excellent build quality, ergonomics are top notch, great layout
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I've used ergo keyboards in the past; I never gave myself a chance to get used to them. Since I move around from computer to computer a lot I didn't like the idea of constantly using a different keyboard depending on what computer I was using at the time. I've had increasing problems with my wrists (I have carpal tunnel) so with the added incentive of pain I decided to give the wireless desktop 7000 a try. Mainly because of the mouse and we had an extra set sitting unused at the office. I had no expectations for the keyboard and given my past experience with them I didn’t expect it to last on my desk. How wrong I was. It's the keyboard that has totally blown me away. This is by far the most comfortable, easy to use keyboard I have ever used. I type much faster on this keyboard and its comfort is second to none. If you’re at a keyboard for a significant portion of the day I cannot recommend this keyboard more highly. Get one, you won’t regret it.

Not the Best.
Pros: It's a keyboard. Media keys are a plus.
Cons: The keys fade over time. I have several keys that are totally black. It's fine for people that know where the keys are, but for my daughters, it isn't good. I've had this keyboard for less then a year. A $50 keyboard should hold up better.
Other Thoughts: Overall it's a good keyboard, just the issue with the keys fading over time.

Ergonomics a pain, otherwise not bad
Pros: The keys work pretty much all the time, I've had this for over 2 years and finally got around to giving a review. It's oookay, but could be much better. I liked the little function keys for internet and home and what not.
Cons: Ergonomics. Are. A. Pain. seriously. I'm fine with having the board slightly bent for comfort, but this is like having your elbows spread by an umbrella. After maybe 15 minutes my arms start drooping from the awkward position I have to hold them in for typing. Don't even think about gaming with this board. Quick chat messages are a nono, and even though the usual keys for gaming are all on one hand, it doesn't feel natural.
Other Thoughts: Get yourself a standard board.

Do not waste your time.
Pros: Nice look. Good ergonomics. Decent amount of function keys at the top.
Cons: Some of the keys just fail to work at times. The "N" key on my board is horrible with regrards to this. Other keys seem to not work intermittently as well. This is not a new issue, these non-functioning keys have been problematic since I received this board.
Other Thoughts: If it were not for the ergonomics I would have given this board 1 egg. The purpose of a keyboard is to be able to type...when keys fail to function it completely defeats the purpose. Do yourself a favor, buy a different keyboard.

Disappointed
Pros: For me when it comes to keyboards, its mostly about the layout. I like the layout of this keyboard, it's similar to the first version MS Natural KB. The insert/home/pgdn keys are standard, the arrow keys are standard, the "6" is on the left side of the KB, one extra key for gaming binds.
Cons: The dual purpose of the F keys. The most annoying thing is moving a bunch of files around in explorer, then hitting F2 to rename a file, to find out your F key lock is on and it does the other function, "UNDO"
Also Anti-Ghosting Keys, I've noticed pushing too many keys too fast when playing a game, the strokes doesn't register.
Other Thoughts: The keyboard works without the Intellitype drivers, but the F keys won't work at all, it requires the Intellitype drivers.
I dont care much for the Media Keys and special function keys. I wish the KB was more basic so it doesn't need special drivers.

so far so good
Pros: very comfortable to type with and play games with. the wrists no longer hurt after a few hours of gaming. the keys are easy to press, the function keys are cool, the function key lock is handy as well. just got it today and used it for a few hours, so it feels good so far
Cons: only thing i dont really enjoy is the spacebar, it is more difficult to press down that the other keys. it may just need to get broken in though, so we will see. no other problems as of right now. gave it 4 eggs because of the space bar thing, since its annoying..
Other Thoughts: worked right away, installed software before i plugged in the keyboard. i have xp pro x64 and it works on that OS so im happy. what i did was install software then plugged in the keyboard and it works, didnt have to restart the computer at all
