Busted
Pros: Bright and beautiful for all but one column of yellow pixels.
Cons: Defective 30 days in! I have a solid yellow pixel line down the right side of the screen for an entire column.
Other Thoughts: Samsung has the WORST possible customer support ever. Don't expect them to do anything helpful. Samsung says I am eligible for a new replacement, what they call A-stock. However they do not ever have any in their inventory. They even cancelled my request for a replacement because they didn't have any in stock without telling me. They do have plenty of refurbs. Google the Better Business Bureau and the Consumerist about Samsung's shady customer support tactics.
This is my third Samsung screen that I have owned. I trusted their brand for many years. Shame on them for losing a loyal fan.

Quality TN Panel
Pros: As far as TN panels go, this is a fine product. I retired my older Acer 22" LCD (P221W) for this one and the differences in picture quality and color vibrance is noticible. The rear removable panel that covers up the cords is a very nice bonus as well, especially if you're a cord management freak like I am.
Cons: The frame surounding the actual screen could have been slimmer. This LCD takes up more space than it needs to I think.
Other Thoughts: Seems to be the perfect size. 27" was far too large for my tastes and the 22" just wasn't big enough for my multitasking. Native 1920x1200 is a winner.

Best Value for the Money
Pros: This is a very high quality monitor in my opinion. The contrast ratio ir great (the "real" contrast ratio, not the "dynamic" ration on the sticker which means nothing!) Color reproduction is decent once you get calibrated & the viewing angle is the best of any monitor I've owned.
Cons: Taking everything into consideration the only con that I can think of is that annoying power button. Maybe it's just me but sometimes it works first try, sometimes it takes 5 or 10 or 200 touches ;) Of course thats not really a true "con", especially for me since I rarely turn my monitors off.
Other Thoughts: I am a professional photographer (so color reproduction & true tone is very, very important to me) working on a budget & for the money you really can't beat this monitor. I have 2 on my main machine & am considering getting one for the secondary machine. Sure I'd love to have one of those $2k+ mini-computers-in-a-monitor that show 100% of AdobeRGB (1998) but with the economy the way it is thats not gonna happen too soon. Until then the Samsung T240 is quite a fine fill-in for my work.

SOme help for those of you with washed out Colors...
Pros: This actually is a great monitor besides what others say! You have to do some calibration to make it look the way you want it to cuz when this monitor ships to you it has not be precisely calibrated to any technical standards! Havent tried any calibration devices like a spider or and eye one but i will list my settings here!
Cons: Monitor: Brightness 100 Contrast 100 Color Tone Normal Gamma Mode 2 Sharpness 72
nVidia Color settings: Brightness 35% Contrast 55% Gamma 0.86 Digital Vibrance 20%
The reason these monitors look so washed out is because samsung set the gamma values too high for this model! I have an older one of these bought back before X-mas of 08 and it was calibrated from the manufacturer perfectly..yes this is my second one!
Other Thoughts: I have an EVGA Stock GTX 260 (Core 192 version) these settings are for those who have nForce Drivers equivalent to 185.50 with-out the new desktop HUE settings!
Final thoughts this really is a good quality monitor...you just gotta know how to calibrate it.. my values aren't perfect but at least it will head you in the right direction to getting the color to come out! Hope it helps guys!

Excellent looking monitor...when it didn't have vertical stripes of dead pixels.
Pros: Excellent contrast, very good LCD monitor for development, desktop, and gaming. Hardly noticeable LCD motion blur due to fast 5ms response.
Cons: Defective after 3 months. I now have 3 vertical stripes of dead pixels, one green, one blue and one cyan. Have had zero problems obtaining service under warranty, Samsung picks up the tab for shipping as well. I am a bit concerned about what will be returned to me though...hearing that some folks have received very damaged refurbs.

Pretty much awesomeness
Pros: This screen is awesome when it comes to resolution. I upgraded from a 19" 1280x1024 screen. This thing makes it look like a small peice of junk. This screen is BIG and has awesome resolution. I almost scared myself playing crysis, It looks SO REAL! The frame around the screen looks very nice. The screen is also fairly easy to calibrate. OH! and NO dead or stuck pixels! That was the thing I was most worried about with buying online.
Cons: Like other people have said, the picture is a little washed out near the bottom. I really only notice it a little bit in the bottom left hand corner over by the vista tool bar. The viewing angle is also very small if you want to see very high quality. Basically right in front of it.
Other Thoughts: So happy I bought this screen! Its a STEAL! $300 bucks! BUY IT!!!

SAMSUNG T240 - A disposable monitor
Pros: Original monitor nice, great resolution & quality. Horrifying customer support.
Cons: Failed within 3 months. Warranty claim proceedure is a true nightmare. Monitor developed 6 vertical lines over the weekend. Called Samsung to replace under warranty. Shipped unit to Far East Service for repair. Returned a refurb that was all scratched, had glue residue on the frame, and the glass was dirty w/ marks. Called to exchange directly through SAMSUNG. Promised a new 26" as a "we're sorry" gesture. Received another DOA montior again all scratched frame and worn back. Called back, all they will offer is another monitor exchange. Three weeks without a monitor.
Other Thoughts: If you buy a samsung, consider it a disposable item. Yes, I've been forced to consider a $400 purchase a disposable item.......

AWSOME
Pros: This is one of the best monitors I ever used. It came with a 3 yer warranty and mine came with no dead pixels. I would highly recommend this to any one.
Cons: Cost more than other brands, but that's because it's a SAMSUNG.

Washed Out Colors
Pros: Aesthetics are good. Bright.
Cons: Colors are washed out, can not adjust to get rid of this problem. Compared to my two Samsung SyncMaster 204B monitors SyncMaster T240 is clearly inferior. No adjustment for up and down, it does tilt back & forth though.
Other Thoughts: I really like my SyncMaster 204B displays. I had three of them configured as a triple head display. One went bad & I replaced it with the T240. I am disappointed. I would not buy this again. I also would not recommend it to others.

Good Monitor
Pros: The monitor looks beautiful. I bought it to use as a primary display, and it works great. No noticeable lag, and every app I've used it with has looked fine.
Cons: A pain to transport. It is a little bulky and every time you touch the case, it leaves a mark. I actually end up cleaning the plastic more than the screen.

Two thumbs up
Pros: I just got this monitor and it looks great, it was a breeze to setup and i've had 0 problems so far (knock on wood) The picture is amazing and the monitor is just enormous.
Cons: You cant till the screen forward and backwards once you set it up. Also for some reason when i installed the drivers for my monitor the drivers for my web cam were uninstalled might be unrelated tho.

Fabulous
Pros: Wow! I have lived with a laptop for years, and forgot what large display space (former multiple-monitor mac user) was like. This is my dream: two 8-1/2x11 pages full-size side-by-side with room for pallettes/tools as well. Just the right size; and bigger and you'd have to move your head around to view the entire screen. Great color, no bad pixels, sharp images.
Cons: All my PDF files showed a yellow background, unless I turned "tag for color management" off in Acrobat, but this didn't fix old PDF's. I thought it was my authorware, I thought it was Acrobat, it took a while to find it. The monitor comes with a T240 color management driver that's weird. Switch to another CMS and the problem goes away. Was Samsung trying to show off by putting color gradients whereever CMS is active? A text PDF doesn't need a color background! Go to Display properties/Settings/Advanced/ColorManagement and select something else from the list (I'm now using sRGB color space profile).

Sansung SyncMaster T240 Review
Pros: This monitor is the absolutely the best I've ever owned. With a 20000 to 1 dynamic constrast ratio, and the 5ms response, this has been the perfect monitor for me for gaming and watching videos. I bought one over a year ago, and recently bought my son one. You can't go wrong with this product! Really!
Cons: Monitor was supposed to have adjustable height -- I haven't been able to adjust the height, although my son says he can on his.

Amazing
Pros: The design of the monitor and the station it sits on are amazing. I looks very sleek and professional. Colors are great I honestly have no bad things to say about this monitor. Looks grea, lightweight, and it is a lot bigger than i expected.
Cons: The only bad thing is that if you like to have your monitor pivot and swivel on the fly this one is not for you. Once its planted its not moving. I personally have no problem with it the monitor sits very well on the station I am on. The only bad thing I can see so far is that once you touch the monitor it instantly will get dirty. Just make sure you keep a nice cloth at the ready and you should be fine.
Other Thoughts: Overall I really love this monitor. Its huge and looks amazing. Granted there are two small small small things wrong with it i have no major complaints and would recommend this to anyone who is looking to purchase a monitor.

Samsungs are great
Pros: beautiful, big, and full of color. love it
Cons: someone said earlier that the monitor is kind of brighter on the top and a little dull on the bottom, i can see that with my monitor.
Other Thoughts: i've had this monitor for over 5 months now and it's awesome, despite that little setback in the cons.

BEST-MONITOR-EVER!
Pros: • Very bright, vivid colors. • Extremely sharp picture due to the high contrast ratio. • Compatible with any current technology that produces a picture in the US. • Touch power control. • Samsung product.... they manufacture their own products... and about 15 other major companies' monitors and TV's. • Is there any better?
Cons: • $$$ • Touch of color is red not blue... didn't like it day one, don't like it now.
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why others are having problems with the power button, you simply place your finger on the logo and it works.
I had strong doubts upgrading to this from my NEC 90GX2 which was the best-monitor-ever when I bought it. I had very high expectations based on what the NEC did and claimed vs. what this monitor claims. Well I am a very happy PC user. The NEC was wonderful, but the picture on this monitor is beyond wonderful! Take that and add in the enormous size and suddenly you have a reason to never leave your PC again... except for the occasional bathroom break and stretch. I didn't get the HD model with the built in tuner because I already have an ATI 650 pcie. It gets no better than this. It has the reputation of the best TV/Monitor company in the world, and beats the competition down with 3 quarters to spare. Except nothing less... Samsung!

Great Monitor
Pros: High Resolution, great picture, great color, and 2 HDMI Inputs.
Cons: The Stand does not allow you to changed the height. The power button (not really a button) is sometimes difficult to operate.
Other Thoughts: I previously purchased the T240HD which is the same monitor but with a Digital TV Tuner and the appropriate inputs found on most HDTVs. I wanted to setup a multiple monitor workspace. So I purchased this monitor for my 2nd since I didn't need 2 televisions. I'm very impressed with the quality of both Samsung monitors. I was afraid of dead/stuck pixels but I've read in several places that Samsung uses the best quality LCD Displays so the risk is minimal.

Is Great....When it works
Pros: Great picture quality, when it works. Trying to work with Samsung, My fault for not buying from Newegg. But, wanted it right now and not wait for shipping time. Lesson Learned Always Buy From Newegg.
Cons: Got it home, set everything up. Was SOOOO proud of my new monitor, called my wife into see it. And she says "why does everything look Fuzzy?" Got to looking and yep picture was fading in and out from crystal clear to a fuzzy picture. Tried new drivers, old drivers, new dvi cable, dsub cable, and even got a hdmi cable to try. No Luck. Called Samsung, was told Qualified for a NEW replacement, because I had just bought it that day. March 21, on a Saturday. But there was no ASTOCK Inventory, so check back Monday the 23rd. On Monday the 23rd was told that this monitor was a 2008 model and that they probably would not be getting any Stock in for a replacement, But again, check back Wednesday or friday because those are the days that inventory is set. I thought, huh i'll just take it back to the store where I bought it, and get another one. LOL, wrong answer. They sold out of them and are not getting replacements for this model( Because it is a 2008 model)The model replacing it is the T240HD.
Other Thoughts: Called Samsung Again. Was escalated to the ESC Dept. They informed me that yes they could help me with my problem. If there was no stock of the T240, they would sustitute a model with equal features. That their return department would be emailing me with with the different models to choose from. A week goes by, now the monitor has the Matrix green pixels coming out in it. Still no email from Samsung. Called again and was informed that the return dept. wanted to wait and see if any ASTOCK became available. Waited until the 16th of March, still no ASTOCK, No Email, And now a different Solution from Samsung ESC Dept. Send in My monitor for 3-6 weeks to try to repair it, if not able to be repaired then They will contact me with a different solution, Maybe a refurbished one. What is up with Samsung? I qualify for a NEW replacement. I even offered to pay the diffrence for a different Model. Was told, they can't do that. Was sent to Samsung case management on the 16th, still NO word from them

This thing probably rocks...
Pros: I actually don't own this monitor, but I recently bought the T240HD (which Newegg has discontinued) which is the same monitor but it has a TV tuner built in as well. Let me tell you, it is one of the most solid buys I've made in a long time. Great picture and clarity plus lots of inputs for a monitor. I have 2 computers plugged into it, a ps2, a ps3 and the cable line for the TV, all work great. Can't beat it. Now granted, this version of the monitor doesn't have the TV tuner, but this monitor's superb picture far excels past a lot of LCD's for the same price. Vivid and bright picture. Trust me, you will not be let down by this monitor. No dead pixels at all either.
Cons: The sound is a little lacking but I've never known computer monitor speakers to be anything but lacking, unless you pay through the teeth to get them. You just have to turn them up a little more than you'd think you have to. Also, not really a problem, just wierd, but on the DVI connection it seems like it isn't constantly checking for a signal to come out of standby. It more like checks everything 1-2 minutes so when you hit a key or move the mouse to wake up your computer, it takes a minute, sometimes less, sometimes more to come back on. But it does always come back on so it doesn't bother me.
Other Thoughts: Buy this monitor even if to just help our economy. It's a rock solid purchase and frankly, the economy won't get any better as long as people keep sitting on the money instead of spending...more cash flow=improved economy.

Samsung Greatness
Pros: Wow how can I start I have owned many monitors and returned monitors for various reasons but the quality of this monitor is unbelievable the picture is very detailed in a real not enhanced way with a glossy overlay for example. I am not employed by samsung because I have had samsungs that I didnot like.
Cons: This is not really a con but make sure you have enough space for this size of a monitor or it will become a headache because of sitting to close to it.
Other Thoughts: Their are a lot of fackers out their with simular specs but they are not all alike trust me when I say this if your looking for a new 24 inch monitor before this is replaced with a new model trust me you won't be disappointed.

Really nice
Pros: WOW after having a higher quality CRT since 1999, this was a noticable difference in viewing quality and sharpness. I love the HDMI input and can play XBox 360 or my PC with the touch of a button
Cons: I wasn't used to only 60hz refresh and it took a bit to get my eyes used to it after a 85hz oldie but goodie. 60Hz is standard as it's not supposed to make a difference. Doesn't cause aproblem now. Can't figure out the supossed title. Looks to not have it.
Other Thoughts: SWEEEEET!

Beautiful Monitor
Pros: This monitor is extremely crisp and the colors are great. I would highly suggest this to anyone doing web design or photo work. The monitor is VERY bright. Supports a wide variety of inputs.
Cons: No swivel, or tilt on the monitor. Also this monitor can't be mounted. The back panel can be a little tricky to get back on after plugging something in (i.e. HDMI, DVI, VGA).
Other Thoughts: The only resolution I really think looks great is the recommended 1920 x 1200 resolution. Wasn't a problem for me except I had to modify a couple older computer games that did not support widescreen gaming.

Best of the Best
Pros: Top quality. Eye candy... Color will blow you away. This is one of the nicest looking monitors, if not THE nicest I have ever seen, and I have been working with computers for more than 30 years. Three year guarantee. 2 USB 2.0 ports that are absolutely ideal for my webcam and monitor calibrator. Base attaches easily. Smooth swivel and tilt.
Cons: No height adjustment, but it's not really needed with the wide field of view. Cable ports are almost "hidden," so access is a little difficult.
Other Thoughts: You can recognize the quality while you're removing it from the box. You can feel the quality the first time you touch it. If you're looking for a new 24" wide screen monitor you owe it to yourself to purchase this unit. You'll smile every time you look at it. It's going to be on my desktop for a long, long time.

Fantastic
Pros: I am very very pleased with this monitor.. I was a bit hesitant about getting it, but was attracted by all the connections and features and of course the price. Not sure about all the reviews saying it has problems with fast paced games as it works perfectly for me. Very very pleased!
Cons: None that I can see... Dont care much about stand adjustment.. Otherwise I would have had to dish out a lot more cash..
Other Thoughts: Big monitor, great picture out of the box.. Great price

Amazing Monitor
Pros: I purchased this monitor as an upgrade from a 20.1" LG LCD. This monitor made even the desktop of Windows XP Professional look like new right out of the box! It's crisp and clear and the size of the 24" screen is amazing for everything from gaming to movie watching to graphic design. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a spectacular viewing experience.
Cons: The only cons I have witnessed are that the stand is slightly flimsy: if you have a desk that wobbles, the monitor will more than likely wobble as well slightly. The stand is also not adjustable by height or tilt. The biggest issue I have seen is that if my PC goes into Standby mode and I "wake" it up, it cycles through the Analog then the HDMI settings before it goes to Digital, and sometimes it takes a while to cycle through. Not sure if that's a monitor issue or if I need to update a driver. It's not annoying enough for me to take any eggs off the rating!
Other Thoughts: It's just an amazing monitor!

Great Monitor!
Pros: This monitor looks amazing. The color is outstanding. It is amazing for gaming or watching HD content. It has a very classy look to it. The viewing angle is amazing. Everything is crisp and clear. You will not regret purchasing this monitor.
Cons: I read a review of this monitor a while ago after I had purchased it that brought something to my attention that I never would have noticed otherwise. Colors look slightly different from the top of the monitor down to the bottom. You will only notice the difference if you open up a document or web page with a solid color from the top straight to the bottom, and even THEN, you have to be really looking for it. It's not enough of a difference to warrant losing an egg for however. Just know that it has this issue.
Other Thoughts: I wish the Touch of Color series came in different shades. The rose red cabinet looks very nice how it is, but I'm a fan of blue, and it would be neat to have the choice.

Fantastic Monitor...
Pros: I upgraded from a 19" Dell CRT. I didn't buy the monitor from Newegg but only because I have $200 in gift certificates to a local electronics store. If it wasn't for that I would have purchased this monitor from Newegg for sure. The Touch of Color series of Samsung monitors are brilliant. Excellent image quality and color (I don't notice any color variations as mentioned in another review). 2ms response time is absolutely perfect for gaming. The power "button" is pretty slick. And 1080p Blu-Ray movies look absolutely fantastic.
Cons: No HDMI input and the stand is a bit flimsy. Neither is that important for my use but HDMI would be a nice option.
Other Thoughts: Looks great sitting on my desk...classy looking bezel.

Great Mnnitor
Pros: Just plug and play; running at 1920x1200; no dead pixels I have found; no noticeable bleed around edges. This is my 2nd Samsung monitor from Newegg, the 1st being a T260 and now this one [two different setups]. Very happy with purchase; I do not hesitate to recommend either the T260 or the T240.
Cons: Would be nice to have a tilt base since I am taller than the average person but not a show stopper at all.

Disappointed
Pros: Looks good from the outside.
Cons: I didn’t buy this monitor at Newegg, but I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with the monitor here. I really wanted to like this monitor. I spent a lot of time reading customer reviews and looking at monitors in stores. My biggest fear was dead pixels and thankfully this monitor had none. However, there was an unexpected problem which killed the deal for me. The color is not uniform from the top of the monitor to the bottom. The color at the top of the monitor is noticeably darker than at the bottom. For example, if you open a window with rows of yellow folders in it, the folders in the top row are dark yellow and the folders in the bottom row are faded yellow. As another test, drag a window in XP from the top of the monitor to the bottom and watch the color of the window bar change from dark blue to a lighter shade of blue.
Other Thoughts: I tried to fix the problem by running the included Magic Tune software, but the software would not run on my computer. I doubt the Magic Tune software could have fixed such a strange problem anyway. This problem looks like a manufacturing defect to me. It seems as if Samsung was more concerned with the styling of the monitor than the way it performed. I contacted Samsung technical support, and all they could suggest was to take it back to the store and have it checked out. I was unwilling to do that since the monitor should work correctly right out of the box. The monitor will suffice for web surfing, but those who are fussy and are not willing to overlook flaws will be disappointed. I returned the monitor.

Samsung T240
Pros: Amazing monitor! Looks fantastic, super bright, excellent clarity and smooth display for video and gaming. I upgraded to this from a 19" CRT...night and day difference (obviously)! I also own a Samsung 40" LCD HDTV and am very pleased with that, hence the decision to stick with the brand. I'm happy I did.
Cons: On the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. Samsung has excellent quality and I think it is worth it. When you view the monitor from an angle other than straight on, the brightness dissipates. I personally don't care (most probably won't), but it is there.
Other Thoughts: Another great Samsung product. Reaffirms what I already knew to be true about the brand. Now I want a second one for dual monitors!

Pros: Response time - This is a big one... i used to have a 2ms monitor one of the fastest gaming monitors according to many web sites, and its hard to tell the difference between the response time on a 2ms from a 5ms like this one!
Menu - Has enough options to make your pictures perfect!
Gaming - Gaming on this beast is sick! i cant stress enough how great it performs and looks in games Left for dead is just perfect! Just be sure to have a video card that is strong enough to with-stand the 1920x1200 resolution and still maintain a decent framerate.
Picture Quality - Probably the best color reproduction i have ever laid eyes on. The color and vibrancy of this monitor is truly wonderful. Black levels are among the darkest you can find on an LCD screen.
Input Lag - As far as i know its really low...
Bezel - Beautiful
Cons: NONE!!!!!!!!
Other Thoughts: Viewing angle - is above average for a TN type panel (excellent!) Other Review-ists have taken eggs off for the viewing angles, they obviously know little about the panels used in these monitors (maybe they should look into an IPS or maybe an MVA type panel).
Stand - Don't worry about what others are saying about the stand being wobbly or unsteady, its not that bad... REALLY! Some ppl are just way too picky. The only legitimate gripe anyone would really have on the stand would be, if you were going to set one of the ToC series monitors (including this one) on a surface that is above a normal table-top height.
I'm not going to tell you to buy this monitor... cuz not everyone has the same likes/dislikes. But if you don't you will truly be missing out!

AWESOME MONITOR
Pros: No dead pixels!!!! Great monitor. Upgraded from a samsung 226bw C-panel. This monitor blows it away. Speakers!
Cons: Dvi-input is odd. Computer would not let me use 1920 x 1200 only 1900 x 1080. Using HDMI solved this issue.

Excellent monitor!
Pros: Big!; no bleeding around the edges of the screen; also, it's big; colors are vibrant and contrast is excellent; brightness makes my old CRT look like it's covered with dirt and grime (well, it is, but its picture is much "murkier" than this LCD's!)
Cons: 1 stuck pixel :(
Other Thoughts: I was used to two aging CRTs that took up 95% of my desk, so it's about time one of them was replaced, and I'm glad I replaced it with this monitor! I read tons of reviews on different models and ultimately returned to this Samsung. I'll probably end up getting another one during the new year to replace the other CRT.
I do a lot of work where screen real estate is at a premium, so the 1920x1200 pixels on the T240 were a must. I tried "unsticking" the stuck pixel, but no progress. Though honestly, it's hardly noticeable unless I'm looking at an all (or mostly) white screen.

Sweet!
Pros: Big and Beautiful - Very nice looking display... I have grown very fond of samsung LCD's - this was no dissapointment...
Cons: No height... but i knew that before I bought it... I can live without it...
Other Thoughts: I purchased it as an open box... it was only 260 dollars, and it was in perfect condition, no dead pixels, all cords, etc.. couldn't ask for more.. cost less than a new 22" and still has samsung's quality. Keep an eye out on this one and the T240HD - they are great monitors, even at full price...

Nice
Pros: Its a samsung! colors are great and im sure everyting esl is becuase its a samsung. like quality and ect.
Cons: no height adjustment! menu kinda confusing but ez to learn. price!... not a true gaming screen no 2ms. wish samsung would make a 2ms for 24inch. if they use there brains people would buy it for sure becuase of samsungs quality in lcds. one thing about samsung is you get top quality for what you pay for.
Other Thoughts: im happy with mine. i also own a 52inch samsung 7series lcd tv. bought it when it frist came out early this year.

Cons: None

Not perfect but would still recommand it.
Pros: Very bright for a 300 cd/m2 monitor, pictures are crystal clear even in a well lite room. While it stats 5ms in the spec, it really dosn't have any more noticeable screen lag than the other monitors boasting with 2ms. Thanks to it's slightly faster vertical and horizontal refresh rate. The depth of dark colors is very impressive for a LCD monitor. Thanks to the 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Mine has some minor backlight bleeding if I pay really close attention to the shades near the edges, but it's way less than my previous monitor. Finally, mine was free of any dead/stuck pixels, and the packaging box also had some nice padding that kept the monitor safe during shipping.
Cons: The menu could be tricky to navigate as all the buttons are located at side of monitor frame, you'd have to memorize which is which as the lables are printed on the side instead of the front. This could really frustrat you especially when you're doing the color calibration. The included USB2.0 hub has it's ports located at the back of the monitor and under the cable cover. Which means it's troublesome to use it for any equipment that you would be constantly plug/unplug without extention, IE thumb drives. Also, a really obvious problem for Windows Vista users. Let me make this clear that this isn't the fault of the hardware, rather the driver Vista would download after you pluged this monitor in has a bug that would render your Windows Vista Photo Gallery to display every picture with a yellow hue. This however, is easily remedied by setting the default color profile from Samsung Natural Color Pro to sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Other Thoughts: Well, this monitor is definitly not perfect. Especially considering it's above-the-rest price tag when I bought it. As there are other decent quality 24" LCD monitors in the market that are also cheaper. Especially the newer ones that have pretty much identical spec as this but with 2ms and more extra features, IE webcam or speakers. However, Samsung is well known for their strict quality control standard. It certainly shows in the sturdy construction of this monitor. The added durability from a solid construction just might be worth the extra green spent.

satisfied
Pros: Plays all of my games just fine, and no ghosting. Smooth to the touch. No glossy screen. Not that warm when it's been on for a while which is a major plus.
Cons: Small amount of reflectivity on the frame, since it is well polished or shiny. Not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: It's near perfection. no mounting brackets. Does the HD version have it? Uses about 60watts an hour...Menu is great. If you've got the cash get the HD version.

You won't find a better 24"
Pros: This is a true high end monitor for a really great price. Sure, there are other monitors for $50-$75 less, but they look washed out and have poor color. This thing is the real deal.
I have been looking for a 24" for awhile, and I ordered several but had to ship them back due to dead pixels. This one arrived and it had NO DEAD PIXELS! On top of that, it looked way better then the other monitors I had tried, for about the same price.
This is really the best monitor for the buck anywhere. Beautiful picture and a great looking case, combined with a ton of inputs and audio outputs make it a real winner.
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: I would be careful ordering monitors from NewEgg. If you read their return policy they won't replace your monitor if it ships with dead pixels. From my experience, many 24" monitors do ship with dead pixels. I'd recommend looking at buying this from a retail outlet, as they will cover anything for 14 days.
That being said, Samsung is much more reliable then some of the other bargain brands NewEgg sells.

Nice monitor
Pros: Looks great, no dead pixels, comes with VGA, DVI, and USB cables. HDTV, DVD, BD, HD-DVD and games all look great
Cons: I would have preferred the USB ports to be more accessible for easy plugging of devices.
Other Thoughts: It's almost too big for full-screen web browsing. Don't maximize the window.

It's good enough
Pros: Overall, this monitor does what it says it will. Color and contrast are good, brightness like others have mentioned, needs to be tailored per user and room. I don’t like when reviews dock a piece of hardware because of things the hardware never advertised to have, so I haven’t docked it for those things, but will merely comment on what could be improved in the cons. I like the 3 inputs, DVI-D HDCP, HDMI, and VGA. I have my PC connected via DVD-D and it’s beautiful. Internet browsing, videos, games all look fantastic. I put a race weekend together in Race 07 and it is just great to have the large and color screen to use. It’s a bigger step up than I originally thought from my first issue Dell 20”. Now for the PS3 connection, it’s really great as well. Set at 1080p, the Star Wars Force Unleashed Demo looks great and the action can be seen with no ghosting or blurring. At close viewing, less than 3 feet, you see the “square pixilated” graphics, but I’m hoping this gets bet
Cons: There really isn’t too much to complain about, but no product is perfect. There does seem to be light bleed through with mine. It’s not over bearing, and with another light source in the room, even minimal, it’s not noticeable. But if you are in a dark room, darker scenes may become an issue. With mine it’s mostly at the bottom-middle. Again, it’s not as bad as some, but may be an issue for other more discerning buyers. For under 500$ and 24”, I can’t complain too much. Another bother is switching inputs. I have a dual monitor setup running my older 20” dell, and this Sync Master, with a 4850. While the PC is running and inputs on the monitor are switched, the dual monitor setup is switched to single. And with the T240 set as my primary, each time I switch to PS3 from my PC, the desktop migrates to the Dell. This is fixed with setting profiles in the ATI drivers, but it is rather annoying as I’ve never known another monitor to do this. I switch my Dell inputs all the time
Other Thoughts: I’d have no problem recommending this monitor to most users. It’s hard to image finding something that looks better in this price range. It really comes down to features, the issue of light bleeding, and the other annoyance of input switching jacking up the windows desktop.

Pros: Very bright and vibrant. Picture is excellent quality for a TN panel. It large, spacious, and very stylish. Many inputs types, HDMI, DVI, and VGA. Very good response time, no ghosting watsoever. No dead pixels.
Cons: OK viewing angle, but what do you expect from a TN monitor. The placement of the USB ports could be a little better, kinda hard to reach. A little pricier than avg 24", but Samsung makes a great product.
Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 20" Samaung 206BW, also a great monitor. Great newegg service, I purchased this monitor Monday afternoon with Free 3-5 Ground. It got shipped from NJ that evening and arrived at my home the following evening. Best of all, NO DEAD PIXELS. I have this hooked this up to a pair of eVGA 8800GT's.

Pros: AMAZING!!! Love the rose red outline! NO DEAD PIXELS!!! 3 Connections! Beautiful sleek and glossy design! Has clean smooth running edges! No big bulging back... amazing screen and amazing housing!
Cons: none so far

Nice Monitor
Pros: No dead pixels!!! Beautiful picture & bezel, lot's of conections. Good adjustability.
Cons: Unlike others, I don't care for the power button on this monitor. The base is flimsy & I can't turn off the sometimes difficult to locate button without the monitor turning unless I hold the whole thing. No wall mount option.
Other Thoughts: It took a while to adjust the brightness & contrast to my liking. The dynamic contrast setting doesn't look good while gaming. I tried all of the many presets, but had to go custom because of the brightness. It's a very nice monitor & I have no regrets.

Excellent choice
Pros: The screen itself is awesome. Absolutely no complaints. Excellent image quality, no dead pixels. I finally get to enjoy the higher resolutions I have long been craving. The hint of red in the frame is also a nice subtle touch. The power button is also kind of cool
Cons: cheap base=screen wobbles a little bit with any kind of motion. Doesn't really bother me though, as my desk doesn't usually move that much.
Other Thoughts: This would not be a good monitor to have during an earthquake. If you don't plan on exposing it to a lot of movement or vibration, go for it.

Crisp, pleasant on the eyes.
Pros: Exceptional monitor. Crisp, clean lines. Beauty and brains.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Stay away from other major brands. HP's 24 inch monitor is $80 more and lacks a DVI input. You won't regret this purchase.

Great monitor.
Pros: Once tuned, this monitor is unbelievable. Very bright. The colors are crisp and very saturated. Editing digital photos is really nice with this monitor. The touch sensitive power switch is a modern touch. So is the red edging for the monitor frame. The HDMI input is also a plus.
Cons: For the price, it should include one more HDMI port as well as a built in USB hub. Also, it would be nice to have more position adjustment options.
Other Thoughts: 22 inches was just not quite tall enough. The price is not cheap, but this is a great monitor. Looks great even in indirect sunlight.

spectacular monitor
Pros: ZERO dead pixels upon arrival which is always a grreat first impression... then I turned it on and was simply amazed. I had a 17" Viewsonic LCD before and the picture simply can't compare to this baby... this monitor shines...
Cons: ... I cant think of any cons... I wish it could float and then it wouldnt require a stand...
Other Thoughts: Quick delivery by newegg as always.

Gorgeous monitor, a true combination of form and function!
Pros: Gorgeous glass-like frame with a dark red hue to it. Gives it a very classy and elegant look and definitely gets the compliments. The contrast is AMAZING with this monitor. Very cool touch-sensitive on/off switch instead of a standard button. Great for watching Blu-Ray DVD's from an HTPC!!
Cons: None that I can think of... definitely a great piece of tech art!
Other Thoughts: If you have the money for this product and you are thinking about MAYBE getting it, don't! Add to cart now!!!!

Great LCD For Gaming
Pros: Good color rendering, 2 USB ports and an HDMI port, came with both DVI and VGA cables. Image is sharp as a tack, making text easy to read and textures in-game look great. No ghosting or blurring in game, even with really fast movements. 24 inches of win!
Cons: Didn't come with an HDMI cable, base is cheap but so are a lot of other LCD bases. Some light bleed but again, that's par for the course when it comes to LCD monitors.
Other Thoughts: The color/brightness/gamma calibration software works great, although you have to use your eye to pinpoint the best setting but once you have it dialed in, the grays, blacks, and whites are extremely accurate. If you are a gamer looking for a great, crisp monitor with very nice colors and great contrast, look no further.

I love this monitor
Pros: Huge screen, bright display, vibrant colors, multiple inputs; basically it's everything I could possilby want.
Cons: Height ajdustment could have been nice.
Other Thoughts: This is a really beautiful monitor. Details jump right at you. Also, since I have a nice speaker system, I don't need built-in speakers, and that would seem to help the cost.

Dissapointed
Pros: Brightness, contrast and video connectivity are all good pros. Good for watching HD movies, games and use as a television. Did not get any dead pixels.
Cons: Was disappointed with lack of a proper base or any kind of meaningful angle/height adjustment. To make matters worse in this regard there are no standard wall mounts in the back to use any kind of brackets - so your stuck with the stupid base. Performance lacking when used as a monitor. Bezel is thicker than average and odd shape - I bought two to use as a dual monitor system. I upgraded from dual HP 2065 but it looks as i will demote these to low end TV/gaming monitors and move up to something else pretty soon. Hate the controls - you cant see the dumb buttons on the side unless you turn the monitor.
Other Thoughts: Could have thrown in a better set of cables including an HDMI. I have enough DSUB and DVI cables.

Full 1080p Great for PC and PS3
Pros: HUGE!!!, 1080p with HDMI or DVI (probably d sub as well), Optical audio out and regular audio out, crazy contrast ratio 20000:1 (dynamic) Works like a charm with my PS3. Nice 5ms response. Cool PS3 like power button. Fantastic ability to multitask with screen size. Seems to be a great computer gaming monitor thus far, I just hope my 7900 GS can continue to power this monster!!!! Comes with DVI VGA and USB cable. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I Highly recommend it.
Cons: No built in speakers. However this is hardly a con based upon the before mentioned speaker and Optical audio outs. No height adjustment but its happens to be perfect with my desk. Its a TN panel but I'm using it for gaming, computing/browsing and blu ray not any kind of video/photo editing. Would have like to have seen another color besides the red but that's simply because my Cooler Master case has a blue glow, not that big of a deal because the red is very subtle and looks quite nice. Menu buttons are kinda goofy at first but I have gotten used to them after only 2 days of use.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a good 1080p device for a PS3 or 360 look no further, along with that, this monitor is great for computing, making word processing, gaming and video tasks more exciting. A lot of inputs and plenty of audio outs. Great buy if a good gaming device/monitor is what you are looking for

Great monitor!
Pros: This thing is a beauty. Very large, very bright, very sleek. Great color, great contrast, great clarity. No ghosting or lagging. Arrived without any dead pixels. HDMI connection is a big bonus. The power switch is not a button, but a touch-sensitive area of the monitor, making it very easy to turn on. I upgraded from a 17" Acer AL1715 and this monitor is much bigger, brighter, crisper, and more colorful. It's a great looking and well performing monitor.
Cons: It is prone to wobbling if you shake your desk, but under normal usage I haven't had any problems with this whatsoever. If you are new to the monitor, it's hard to find the power button. The sensitive area is actually quite small. I wish it were a bit bigger. The buttons on the side are hard to use unless you memorized what button does what; you can't really read the labels easily, and you will undoubtedly hit the wrong button frequently at first. Once you learn the layout, however, it's not a bad system. Makes the monitor prettier to look at with the hidden buttons.
Other Thoughts: This is the mid-line model. The 22" has lower resolution, and the 24" has a built-in TV tuner, driving the price up. This particular model is a good compromise: the 1900x1200 resolution without the TV tuner one might never use.
