Outstanding!
Pros: It's simply an amazing monitor and television. I have it connected to my cable, my computer and my Xbox 360 and I have no complaints about it at all. I sometimes use headphones with it and to my knowledge, Samsung is one of the only ones out there with a separate, dedicated, headphone jack. HDMI looks awesome, it's 1080p, I mean what else could you want? It's inexpensive too!
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: Buy it, you'll love it!

Pros: BIG, Bright display. No dead pixels. No more dorking around for buttons on the display - It comes with a nice remote control :) I can zoom over 200% and I can read the webb pages without fumbling for my glasses. Got the news on and browse internet on the same screen. Sweet! My online game "EVE" really looks great. Got room for all my tabs and channels and then some.
Cons: As others have said the tilt adjustment is limited but so far it's not an issue. Very minor.
Other Thoughts: Got this on a weekend special for an extra 50 bucks off. Wife was not happy - but now that she has used it she loves it too and I have been forgiven! :)

Samsung Fan All The Way
Pros: All the connections you need HDTV Great picture Classy design (It's very pretty) Makes fun noise when powered on or off :) No dead pixels
Was a Samsung fan before, and my loyalty continues.
Cons: I didn't buy a bigger screen...
Pretty poor viewing angle, but who does anything on the computer sitting sideways to their monitor? Somewhat slow coming out of sleep, but not annoyingly so.
Other Thoughts: As some people have noted there is some bleeding from the bottom of the screen. It is somewhat noticeable when the screen is very dark, but even then only if you look right at it. It is in no way as distracting as they make it out to be. I also had no trouble with the screen being darker or lighter on either the top or bottom.. even color throughout.
Worth the price for sure!

Great Buy
Pros: Bought this one on sale at 259.00 and its a steal. For the money your putting in this monitor you really get a lot out of it. All the connections work and no dead pixels! I use mine to watch cable and use my computer and for that its great. All of the chimes and power light can be turned off if set up correctly. there is a slight delay when switching that others have complained about - its no more than 3 seconds...not a problem. another problem others have mentioned is the 90 degree glossy edge that reflects parts of the screen. yes, its there but again, its so minor, there is no reason to be confused as to where the screen ends. and at a normal viewing angle its really only a sliver. Nice and bright! 24"!! Great image quality
Cons: There is quite a bit of blacklight bleed, which i can only see on a black screen. It does get pretty bright, but backlight settings will brighten and washout blacks too. When producing darker colors the monitor makes a bit more noise that can be noticable sometimes. Pretty weak internal speakers, though I expected as much and don't use them anyway.
Other Thoughts: No its not the best monitor you could buy, its got some cons - but its cheap and if your not willing to put up with some of its weak areas (which are minor) then you shouldn't be so cheap. Its a good monitor and for the price its unbeatable.

Overall nice monitor
Pros: Modern Warfare 2 looks AWESOME on this thing. Also HI-Def video streaming from MSN, ABC, FOX, etc. I have so much more landscape than my older 21" Sony Trinitron that I upgraded from.
Cons: The only con that I have personally is the time that it takes this monitor to "wake up" when your connected via DVI. With VGA, it's almost immediate, but when your computer resumes from standby etc, it takes this in excess of 10 seconds to realize that I shook the mouse to wake up the computer before it shows anything.

So far, so good
Pros: Good smallish TV for 1080P gaming. Good size monitor for you computer
Cons: Not a big fan of the power button Sound is not the best, but that's to be expected from small built in speakers
Other Thoughts: I've had this TV a little over a week now and have had no issues with it. It's hooked up to my computer and will be used primarily as a monitor, but I'm also using it for my XBox 360 as a part time gaming monitor. My only minor gripe is that the power button doesn't always pick up my finger swipe when I turn it om/off.
I would recommend this TV if you're looking for a hybrid monitor/TV in this size.

Value for money
Pros: Excellent picture quality No dead pixels I use this Monitor as an extension for my laptop as well as TV.Blu ray movies are too good to watch in big screen.Good value for money
Cons: Viewing angle is not flexible.I need sit at same level,if i view from down, the picture gets dark. It took more than 2 hours for me to get the color settings right.
Other Thoughts: power cord is not properly secured @ back of the TV.I have noted that similar issues reported in other reviews.

Works great, picture just OK
Pros: This monitor replaces a square 20 inch BENQ. The BENQ's resolution at 20 inches made text too small. The 24 inch widescreen at roughly the same resolution made text readable. TV works great. HD QAM works great off cable. Remote is fine, I don't use the touch buttons at all.
Cons: The picture color quality is not as good as the 20 inch BENQ. I've tried calibrating the monitor with the windows media center tool, but that didn't help. Picture is as sharp but colors are not quite right.
Other Thoughts: Very happy I purchased. Power consumption is really low.

Great Monitor
Pros: The monitor is one of the nicest looking monitors that I have seen.
There is no noticeable back lighting bleed through on the panel. The color quality is near perfect of course with some tweaking of the settings.
Cons: Monitor could use color temperature settings as well as the RGB values that come standard.
Other Thoughts: Probably going to buy another.

AMAZING MONITOR
Pros: This monitor is amazing. Very clear with its high contrast ratio. I underestimated the size of this thing. Its huge. built in HDTV tuner is a great bonus.

Very pleased for the price
Pros: Lots of connections, great picture, built in hdtv tuner and speakers.
Cons: VGA connection is disappointing and unfortunately that was one of the ports I needed. Speakers are very weak but I do like that they are there (they are just fine when I use the tv tuner but games and music go to my surround sound anyway).
Other Thoughts: Using this as my primary pc monitor and game tv. The VGA connection leaves a small portion of the right side of the screen unfilled at any resolution. Tried with my spare pc and with an Xbox 360 with a vga cable. I run my main pc through the DVI port and, for my spare pc, use a VGA>HDMI adapter and run it to the HDMI port, both of which look great. I just downgraded the xbox 360 from VGA to component which doesn't look as good but at least displays at the proper resolution. Overall it's still a great bargain and the picture is beautiful whether viewing the web or gaming.

Love it.
Pros: - Easy to hook up. - Huge improvement over my old 15" monitor. - Looks sleek - Not that expensive. - XBOX 360 in HD looks great.
Cons: The only thing that actually bothers me about this monitor is that when I put it on mute, the mute display does not disappear. It just stays on the screen. I have not been able to figure out how to make that go away.
Other Thoughts: I paid $249 for it. It looks fantastic. I would recommend this monitor to all of my friends.
It took me a second to realize that the power button is not a button, it is a soft touch. I thought that I did not have the cable plugged in all the way and kept tightening it. That's just my stupidity though.
- I did not buy this from Newegg

1080p!!!!
Pros: Samsungs typically rated the best.
Cons: Website error describes monitor as having 1920x1200 resolution (hit 'specifications' tab). Monitor is actually 1080p (as per manufacturer's description). Be careful. Time lost and inconvenience of returning 6 monitors now.

Great Monitor
Pros: This monitor is great. It has a large screen for my desk. I use it 5 fold. 1 as a HDTV on my office desk, 2 as a second screen for my home PC (2 work screens together) and 3 as a big external monitor for my laptop, 4 as a monitor for my separate home DVD player, and 5 as output device for my old VCR. As you can see it is a VERY multipurpose monitor. As a PC monitor it is actually better than my monitor only PC (22" Samsung) monitor attached to my home PC. For all the uses it has a great picture. The sound quality is really good for my use (on my office desk). It might be a little weak if your using it to view TV across a room. It does have multiple output (ear jack, RED/BLACK jacks) for external speaker capability. All the input devices I mentioned above have their own input jack on the TV monitor (in the back). It has 2 HDMI inputs (one is on the side). A simple remote button switches between mode. I'd highly recommend this monitor.
Cons: There are no USB input jacks available. Speakers might be a little weak for long distance viewing, but the have really good tone and adjustments for close viewing. There is a small slightly noticeable (1-2 mm) line that goes across the very top of the picture while viewing HDTV and DVD's. This is not a monitor picture problem but due to the shinny (acrylic) at the top of the screen that reflects the picture where the monitor is inset in the frame. Samsung should have made this strip dull not reflective acrylic. It only shows up if you mount the monitor higher than eye level and the room is dark. It doesn't bother me since it is located on my desk, on a 4" pedestal. The monitor pedestal does not adjust up and down only left and right.
Other Thoughts: I have owned 3 SAMSUNG monitors over the last 7 years. The first two had a great picture as this one does. Only problem is: My first 2 Samsung monitors both went out after about 6 months. Luckily Samsung has a very easy replacement system that keeps me coming back. They will ship you a monitor to the nearest UPS store (free of charge) if yours goes out and you call to get the RMA number. After you receive the monitor, you take the bad one to UPS store and exchange it (no packing it). UPS ships it back for you (free of charge). The whole process took about 4 days (even though they say over a week). I usually get a refurbished one back. I do have a backup monitor (my first Samsung) so when one goes out I can wait 4 days for the refurbished one.

Great LCD monitor and TV combo
Pros: Multiple source input, 1920x1200 resolution. I use it at my guest bedroom/home office. It's perfect to use it as TV, and serves as dual monitor with my laptop. My almost two years old laptop has only RBG port, so the full selection from RBG, DVI to dual HDMI are perfect. No more extra TV in the small room. The picture quality through RGB cable is stunning, the HD channel TV looks great. Well, don't ever expect good quality sound from any monitor, I plug it to external computer speaker and it works very well.
Cons: Would be perfect if it has VERA mount. But no complaint this for the price I paid.
Other Thoughts: The LCD monitor is the lowest price on 24" screen size that has 1920x1200 resolution. Let alone the TV feature. As far as money goes, this LCD monitor is a no brain selection.

awesome
Pros: Everything really bright huge no dead pixels the red bezel looks really sleek dwarfs my old LG 19"
Cons: speakers are a bit weak, but bearable i have both HDMI's connected to this monitor one to my ps3 using 1920x1080 yes there are black bars but not bad, there is also a scalable option so you can make it full sreen but i keep it with the black bars. I also have it connected to a cable box and with both the quality is excellent
Other Thoughts: im glad i bought the monitor when i did i was opted to get the T260HD but i went with this one seeing as how it was alot cheaper and i have no regrets this monitor is awesome
i highly recommend this monitor/TV for anyone that wants one

Awesome
Pros: 24" of awesomeness. Very sleek design. Colors are extremely accurate and clean compared to my older, cheapy acer and hanns-g monitors. 1920x1200 res is perfect for HD video/photo editing and gaming. I also have a 32" Samsung HDTV and have been extremely happy with it...I think Samsung makes some of the best quality monitors out there for the same competing prices as their competitors.
Cons: Sometimes takes quite a while to come out of sleep mode (anywhere from 2-10 seconds). Kind of annoying.
The LCD panel itself is inset in the monitor's frame, and the glossy surface reflects a tiny portion of the desktop. I thought this was annoying at first..but now I don't even notice it at all.
The first 2 or 3 days I had it, it made a quiet buzzing sound at the back panel, but it went away and I can't hear it now.
Dust magnet!
Works fine as a TV with coaxial cable plugged in, but no pip. I have a TV tuner anyway...its the best way to watch tv on your pc.
Other Thoughts: Has a really cool power on/off sound.
I will NEVER buy a cheap acer/hanns-g/asus bargain monitor again. I have this monitor and a 22" acer running dual setup that I bought on a whim, and the Samsung blows it away in terms of looks, color, and contrast quality...even when the acer is adjusted to look the same.

Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Recommanded.

Perfect
Pros: Excellent value. Lots of input ports. Outstanding image quality. Good speaker output.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I have it plugged into my cable tv, a pc as a primary monitor, and an apple imac as a secondary monitor. I push one button on the remote to switch to the feed that I want. Very cool! I have two computer office rooms in my house (one for me, one for my wife). This monitor has worked out so well in my wife's office, that I'm considering doing the exact same thing for my office. It's a very useful accessory for a home office.

Don't buy it
Pros: Affordable with HDTV tuner and many inputs.
Cons: The tv picture looks so bad that it is worse than my 720p LCD HDTV. And I am not satisfied with picture quality as a monitor either. It looks like washed out color. I really wish I didn't buy it.
Other Thoughts: Won't trust samsung anymore. Even my friend's cheap asus monitor looks better.

Great monitor
Pros: Great monitor for the price. I got 1 day delivery for only an extra $2.99 which as you can imagin, I opted for. I recieved it the first business day after my order and fairly early in the morning. The screen is bright and the aspect ratio is nice compaired to my old monitor (which was a 10 year old CRT that was a TROOPER and still works) I have it set up right now as a dual monitor. The two HDMI ports are great to have, and the fact that it has a TV tuner built in is a major plus. I live in a dorm and I don't have a ton of room, so the flat panel is a blessing for my desk. I feel like I can BREATHE. The monitor came with VGA and DVI cables, which makes me very happy because my dual graphics cards support both, which allows me to hook up both monitors without buying new cords.
Cons: The speakers aren't bad, but their not great. About what you would expect on a monitor.
Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this monitor to students. It's a major space saver. It's also good for a home office.

Great TV/Monitor
Pros: I use this as both a monitor and a TV and i also use it with my digital video camera making DVDs. It works great, looks great and for the price is a great deal. As mentioned the base is a little cheap but if your not moving around all the time shouldn't matter and there is an available wall mounting kit shown in the owners manual on disk. It has all needed inputs and input specific graffic settings so your TV or movies are full bright, vivid color and while using it on your computer they can be tamed down and easier on your eyes. great feature if you are on your computer a lot like i am. It is HD so it doesn't have the basic 2 or 3 RCA input for playstations but has the full color 5 pin setup for HD but it does have the standard threaded Coax plug so a simple adapter will hook you up if you are using it with a standard gaming center. I bought two of them and will buy more before the sale ends.
Cons: Base is a little cheap but works great if you are not going to move it around a lot.
Other Thoughts: Awesome cross over to use as both TV and computer Monitor and fast enough refresh rate to do awesome on multiplayer games. Perfect for the college student that doesn't have a lot of room in the dorms.

Best hdtv/monitor for the buck
Pros: Awesome tv picture if you set it up right (I watch over the air tv), and if you have a nice video card this thing will rock . this thing is great
Cons: NONE (if you consider the price)
Other Thoughts: those guys who pay 250$ for a 24 inch hdtv AND a pc monitor and complain about minor things about this tv ( and by the way almost made me change my mind about buying this tv and I m glad I didn't ) pay a 100$ more and get whatever you are looking for !!!

and its gooood!
Pros: Price!! Comes with remote! Has very kind of input you need, great resolution, and good side viewing angle. Built in tv tuner. Don't need cable box for my digital cable (except for the higher channels). Has all the options you'd expect from a normal tv except wake timer.
Cons: Has terrible view angle from below. If viewed from below the picture gets very dark. Built in speakers are down firing and not the greatest of sound quality (not really a big issue). Not wall mountable. I took off 1 egg for the viewing from below and the lack of wall mounting.
Other Thoughts: I bought this mainly to use as a tv. If you have this in an enclosed desk area the built in speakers sound better. Has headphone jack so I use an old set of pc speakers for better sound. Unless you plan on having this sitting on a shelf abve eye level then this is the perfect monitor for just about anyone!

OK, but...
Pros: Looks nice for the price. Using as a primary monitor for the desktop and I have no complaints regarding the picture.
Cons: Haven't been able to get the speakers to work. Maybe I'm missing something...I'm not sure that trying to RMA it (and getting someone else's defective device) is worth the effort.
Other Thoughts: How I missed that this was a TV, I don't know. I would have sworn that I was buybg a standard LCD monitor.

Geat value
Pros: Looks great, good image, the pic while playing my PS2 is excellent. HMI+DVI+Component=everything I looked for, all with a great price.
Cons: Like others have stated, it is a bit lighter at the bottom than the top, but I have not been able to notice while playing PS2 games. My Combo pak motherboard was bad so I have not been able to test it with a PC and I have not run able to it yet. The stand does not tilt enough for me: see "other thoughts. Speakers are just OK, but why you have sound cards and 5.1 speakers for your PC
Other Thoughts: I'm not using a office chair so I'm lower than normal which causes the image to degrade a little bit, but its off-vertical viewing could be better. Final Thoughts: When one conciders the price and all the inputs the Monitor has along with the built-in HDTV its great. Yes it could be improved and there are better Monitors out there but most of them are cost much more. There is always a trade off.

Nice, but flawed, QC issues
Pros: The monitor is nice looking, the picture is reasonably good (on the second one), it is competitively priced even with the TV tuner, and it has plenty of inputs.
Cons: The first one I had looked a bit washed out, and developed a vertical blue line. I contacted Samsung and they swapped it out for a refurbished unit. This one has a much better picture, but the on/off touch sensitive button is flaky (the first one didn't have this problem). I can reliably turn it on, but I can turn it off successfully about 1 in 3 times. It seems to depend on the status of what is on the screen. For example, it is most impossible to turn it off if it is in sleep mode. Luckily there is a remote, so I can turn it off that way. I would contact Samsung and return it again, but I suppose I can live with the on/off button being flaky.
Other Thoughts: Samsung customer service was nice. The return was kind of cool because they just shipped it to my local UPS store, and I exchanged it there.
I'm running a dual monitor setup with another 24" monitor. Unfortunately, it is running a different resolution (1920x1080). I wish it were 1920x1200 like this Samsung is.

Disappointed
Pros: Large screen, beautiful design, lots of inputs. Price for the size and capabilities, but....
Cons: Poor HD picture over HDMI cable. I purchased this TV/Monitor to use as a bedroom TV and media monitor. When I hooked it up and turned on my HDTV source I thought for certain that something was wrong... either the Sat-box was not on 1080 or the TV was on the wrong resolution. After confirming that the source was 1080 and the TV resolution was 1080, I'm left puzzled as to why the picture is so bad. It's grainy and fuzzy and really lags... I mean really lags... forget watching sports on it or anything fast moving.
Other Thoughts: I'm really wondering if I have a defective unit. I see a few other reviewers have commented about a poor HD picture over HDMI.

Poor vertical viewing angles
Pros: Nice looking package, plenty of input options, beautiful image when viewed at the right angle.
Cons: Vertical viewing angle should be more like 80-90 degrees. Bought for use as a bedroom TV, placed on top of an armoir, hooked to Dish HD via HDMI. Picture looks great when standing up and viewing TV at eye level. But when you get below a horizontal viewing angle (e.g. watching from bed) the picture gets muddy, dark, off-color, basically unviewable. Typical of most all TN panels.
Also, speakers are fairly low quality for use as a TV.
Other Thoughts: Bought this based on some great online reviews, but I never saw this point mentioned. Guess I need to hit the B&M stores for first-hand viewing before buying my next one. I may try this as a computer monitor before getting rid of it.

Awesome Monitor/TV
Pros: Excellent specs and connections that you do not find on many tv's this small. Usually can't find the connections of the resolution (HD in 16x10 ratio). And the price is absolutely excellent for a samsung monitor. Works great as a HD tv (tuner works well with my sorry cable in a small town and works even better with HD game systems and for moves.
Cons: No VESA wall mounting option.
Other Thoughts: Buy this if you are thinking about it.

Good all around
Pros: Well, I purchased this monitor on the good video reviews on cnet and the posted reviews here. All Outputs work accordingly and the touch color power button is a neat visual. There are some concerns but I'll post them in cons. The multiple inputs help make this an all around good pc monitor.
Cons: It seems that the component and HDMI inputs produce a grainy picture , I tried multiple cables\video sources and I still get this grainy video image, it is not clear like the dvi\vga inputs.
Other Thoughts: Besides the less than stellar picture when using HDMI or component, I would still recomend this monitor for the nice size and good price.

Not perfect, but very nice & best deal out there
Pros: Really nice for both TV and Monitor. Easy to use remote. The remote for my Samsung LCD TV works with it too! Viewing angle is good. No bad pixels - I expect that from Samsung. I love the timer functions, and use it as an alarm clock in my bedroom. You can wake up to your favorite TV show. The stand is very stable
Cons: but it would be nice if the stand wasn't so deep. I do notice some backlight bleed at the top of the screen when watching TV, as mentioned by other reviewers, but it's minor and has never impaired my enjoyment while watching TV or movies. I have also noticed a slight variance in brightness between the top and bottom of the screen, but it's not a big problem either. I do not have any reflection problems with the bezel as some suggest, but if it were in direct sunlight, it could be a problem.
UPS Shipping (see other thoughts)
Other Thoughts: Some reviewers find this to be a fingerprint magnet - get a maid! <haha>Speakers are fine, but from reading reviews before buying, I was ready to use external speakers. So far, no need. I wonder if folks who need super-heavy bass have blown out their hearing by blasting music for too long. If you want a theater experience, it's obvious that you should have a speaker system. Here's the big one... The UPS guy knocked on the door, and said that they dropped it. He said that if there were any problems, call UPS. I wasn't home but a friend was over to accept delivery, and she accepted it. I took pictures of the box and packaging before and during opening. The monitor looked fine - perfect, and with some trepidation, I set it up. It worked just as expected, so OK. I appreciate very much, the UPS guy's honesty, and in general, I've always been happy with UPS. Fed-Ex would be a nice option, but I had factored in free shipping in evaluating the cost-benefit analysis of this purchase.

Great Monitor!
Pros: Huge real estate with 1920x1200 resolution HDMI inputs Built in TV-Tuner
Cons: Unable to adjust monitor height Stand a little wobbly when the table is bumped
Other Thoughts: I've only had the opportunity to use this monitor for a few days, replacing an older 19" LCD monitor. This is a great monitor. Great color after calibrating.

Pros: Had this monitor for almost 3 months already. It is perfect for my table and works great in my small room for gaming on 360 as well.
Cons: Attracts a lot of dust really fast. I have to wipe down this monitor almost twice a week.
Also, the default contrast settings all sucked for me. I had to use custom settings which took a while but everyting works great now.
Other Thoughts: The other complaints about excess light on the bottom of the screen, random popping sounds, and long delay while turning on are true but it shouldn't really disrupt you from anything you are doing.

Nice monitor
Pros: Plenty of inputs, 2 HDMI, DVI, d-sub. Works with just about any device you could want to hook up. Good color and bright display makes text very readable. Does well for gamming too. Had it hooked up in the kitchen for a bit while I put the computer it's going to be used with together. Wife liked it so much I'll probably have to get another one to stay in the kitchen. No dead pixels!
Cons: I've got Win 7 set to 1920x1200 and it looks great. However when swithching modes (like starting up a game) it says the input is incompatable. Adjusting the display in Windows to 1024x768 solves the problem, then you can set the resolution of the game where you need it. Never had this issue with a monitor before. At least there is a simple way around it.
Other Thoughts: I've hooked up a PC, external antenna (for TV), and an Xbox 360. All look great.

Lack of Detail with the Specs? Still an Excellent Monitor
Pros: Great Price, High Defintion looks Amazing, Internal Tuner is great, the gui to change channels, aspect ratio (can easily stretch image), etc... etc... is very well made.
This television would get 5/5 BUT read the Cons and Other thoughts which make it a 4/5
Cons: I dont see anything on neweggs page about this monitor's aspect ratio.. being 1920x1080 full HD I was ASSUMING that I would be 16/9 aspect ratio.... its NOT...... its actually 16/10???? this has pros and cons (pro makes monitor look much (a little lol...) bigger then it is (which is cool :D) , con is that its not 16/9.... so doesn't look like a traditional widescreen monitor.....)
Other Thoughts: NEXT TIME Newegg should include the aspect ratio (atleast for non traditional 16/10 monitors.....)
It supports 1920 x 1200 Max Resolution for Laptops and 1920x1080 for Television and such as an FYI....
Why has no one else talk about the aspect ratio being an issue in their reviews is beyond me.....

Best monitor I've ever owned
Pros: Picture quality is noticeably better than my old 22" LG Flatron, and games have really come alive. The multiple input options is a huge plus, and I can toggle back and forth between my PC and console. Feels sturdy, too, and doesn't wobble as much as my old LCD.
Cons: Probably not a good monitor for Eyefinity or something because of fairly thick bezel size. But this is nitpicking...I'm probably never going to go tri-monitor anyway. =)
Other Thoughts: Amazing monitor with a million usable features. Also, I love the fact that it's 1920x1200 for the PC. It's the PERFECT gaming resolution, in my opinion.

24" monitor is a steal
Pros: Size Price input/output Remote control Samsung LCD Picture quality seems pretty good 16:9 16:10
Cons: 24" for $250? No cons.
Other Thoughts: I have yet to test it as a TV but I generally use as monitor and any shows I watch are through the PC. I will test it out at some point I am sure but for the $$$ this is hard to beat.

Be careful for buzzing noise !
Pros: All the others are pretty good except...
Cons: You should be warned that this monitor generates a quite annoying buzzing noise. Compared to iMac, it is much louder especially when you set higher brightness.
I know many of other reviews have already pointed out that noise, too.

not bad
Pros: The picture is nice and color replication is pretty good. I have it plugged into my MBP which uses an LED backlit panel, the T240TD isn't quite as sharp as the MBP panel, but if I had nothing to compare it to, I wouldn't have noticed it much. The included remote is of surprisingly nice quality. Good deal for a nice monitor.
Cons: The built-in speakers are poor, but I run an audio cable from my MBP to the audio port on the monitor then output the sound to external speakers via the headphone jack (that way I can control the volume through the remote control). The panel makes very low level hissing and popping noises, seemingly at random. This appears to be a common problem with this panel, or perhaps Samsung considers it a feature? The noises don't seem to be consistently affected by adjustments to brightness/contrast and are barely noticeable a lot of the time and sometimes even go away completely. I've noticed only very minimal tearing when there's extremely fast motion onscreen.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully the hissing/popping noises aren't indicative of a progressive problem, I can live with it as it stands.

Pros: Great Deal for $250, 1920x1200 is amazing. Menus are very user friendly, came with everything I needed minus an hdmi cable which you can easily find for less than $10. Works right out of the box.
Cons: Mine has one stuck pixel in the upper right of the screen but it is tiny and unnoticeable. The color contrast could be better I think. This monitor definitely has backlight bleed around the edges mostly towards the bottom, however it's only noticeable when the screen is very dark. Mine also makes a very light buzzing noise coming from the back, which I can only hear when my house is silent. It may be annoying if you only used it for surfing web pages.
Other Thoughts: All in all I think it was a great deal for $250 and it is a Samsung so it should last me a long time.

Excellent monitor. So so for TV.
Pros: Excellent working as a monitor. The 1920x1200 resolution display was very clear on both graphs and texts. A lot of inputs for TV. Easy setup for TV. Easy to switch between different input from the remote control. Very attractive price.
Cons: The HD TV picture looks very good. But the regular TV picture was worse than a traditional TV. The none-HD pictrues were fussy and the color is out.
Other Thoughts: Buy it if you primarly use it as a computer monitor, so you get the TV functions for free. Not good for watching none-HD channels.

Great monitor
Pros: 2 HDMI inputs! Component perfect for my 360 with no HDMI support. And, a QAM tuner that picks up a fair amount of HD cable channels. I am surprised by the quality. The remote is well-made for its purpose.
Cables! Not gold-plated but a nice addition.
Cons: - Cannot figure out how to use an external audio source audio in through either HDMI port. When using HDMI input, it only accepts audio from HDMI from what I can tell. - Setup instructions look a little bit confusing and it is definitely easier to set up than it looks. - No HDMI cable included.
Other Thoughts: Linux users: Make sure if you use HDMI out that you have audio working through HDMI if you want to route the audio through the screen and use headphones or its (not so great) speakers. I tried to use a headphone jack with the stereo cable it comes with and I could not get sound out at all. Maybe my laptop sends an audio signal regardless of whether there is actually audio coming out.
Regarding the start up sound, there is an option to disable it, so do not worry about that.
My setup: Laptop is hooked in via HDMI (with audio working); Xbox 360 is plugged in via component input and audio comes from that cable as well; Cable is plugged in via the coax plug; All audio comes out of the headphone jack on the left very nicely. Out of a scale of 100 for maximum volume output, I only need to use 7 or 8 at most!
Just to note, playing Guitar Hero with headphones rules.

Good TV
Pros: Very sleek looking design. The power light glows orange thru the front trim in a neat way. Has many inputs for computer use, HDMI, DVI, VGA. Low-glare screen reduces reflections. Power button is a button design like the PS3's power button. No clicking, just barely touch it to turn it off/on. Looks great with a DVI connection. Haven't tried HDMI yet. Great price for what it is! This is cheaper than the widescreen Acer monitor I have and it's ALSO a TV! A great dual purpose if you live in an apartment and want the convenience of a TV and a monitor. You can select which input to use via remote or the buttons on the right side of the monitor.
The viewable angle appears to be quite good too. No greys fading to black and any shallow angles (like cough my Acer cough).
Cons: Built-in speakers aren't the greatest. Very small speakers lead to very small sound. Better than nothing, but I wouldn't use them past the bleeps and bloops of the operating system. If you listen to music, use desktop speakers. I wouldn't use them for watching TV either.
I wouldn't suggest this HDTV/monitor if you're at all picky about your pixel clarity. The low-glare screen has some weird color noise, like it's not exactly clear, kind of like seeing the rainbow colors in an oily puddle or something. I only notice it when I get close to it (within a foot or so), so for regular TV use, it should look fine. But if you're a videophile like me, you can tell a difference when you're using it for any particular detail work. It's not as clear as my Acer 24" monitor. If it didn't have that low-glare screen, I bet it'd look a lot better. Again it's kinda hard to see unless you've a sharp eye and get kinda close to it.
Other Thoughts: If you're getting this for a smallish widescreen TV, make sure you have some other sound equipment to go with it. For computer use, if you're not particularly picky about the low-glare screen creating a bit of color noise which you can see within a foot, I would certainly suggest this HDTV. If you are going to do more detailed work/gaming, and want a better color reproduction, I'd have to suggest another brand. Or at least a non low-glare type of screen. This coming from someone who's very picky.

Worked for 30min
Pros: Beautiful design.
Cons: Backlight died 30mins after unboxing.
Other Thoughts: Maybe mine was defective but I was not amused at Newegg's RMA policy requiring me to wait till they received and processed the RMA before sending me a new one using UPS ground. This would have taken over two weeks, a refund was issued.

GOOD TV
Pros: Price, options, picture, 1080p
Cons: speakers, noise when brightness or back light is high
Other Thoughts: I bought this tv/monitor because i was on a budget and wanted an hdtv that would be able to be my computer monitor,tv, and something to play my xbox 360 on. this is perfect if you are looking for something like that. the picture is clear and crisp. its not the best picture out there but nothing comes close to it in its price range. speakers suck so i would advise you to buy some aftermarket speakers and just hook it up to the headphone jack. 1080p is great when using my 360. i have it hooked up with an hdmi cord and i am very pleased. get this monitor/tv if your thinking about it...

Good college dorm monitor
Pros: Very sharp LCD screen for desktop computer/laptop to monitor connection and great color quality at 1920x1200. Great way to have a 3 in 1 connection combo as I connect this monitor to a PC via DVI, TV via cable, PS2, Wii and XBOX360 via component cable. The quality of the monitor frame is very elegant and glossy. Works perfectly next to my 24" Acer 1920x1200. The Samsung sits a bit taller than a standard 24" LCD PC monitor, but still works well. I can fit 2 pages of programming screens and use my other 24" to browse the net/email or create my Excel database. PC gaming is great, playing Dawn of War II looks better on this Samsung than it does on the Acer.
Cons: Remote is barely usable, not completely worthless... but do yourself a favor and go spend ~$30 to buy a nice universal remote which will "feel" better than the default Samsung remote. The Samsung remote doesn't have glow-in-the-dark or backlights. As a student I prefer to work in the dark with maybe a small lamp to light up my laptop keyboard.
There is a slight "humming" noise when you switch to TV which is not present when switched to component or DVI source mode. It's not too bad of a humming noise considering my desktop system (more than decent performance Intel QX6850 with 8GB of memory supported by a ATI 4850) drowns out a lot of smaller noise.
I can't seem to toggle the LCD/TV with the buttons located on the right side, not sure why, but I'll have to investigate it further. I do not really need to use them though if I ever lose my remote or something bad happens to the remote feature, I would like to have a good back up control panel.
Other Thoughts: Bad speakers? Well, I'm not a huge sound aficionado so it's "good" enough for me. I used to listen to a 32" tube TV speaker which was just fine as my room doesn't offer enormous space for a home theatre system. I do have a 3-piece PC style sound system which includes 2 speakers and a bass box. It works just fine to my taste. I watched Blu-ray movies (PC w/blu-ray player) and it looks just fine. Not the sharpest LCD screen around, but it's only 24" ... it serves its purpose in a small room. I could ask for more, but for the price and size, I don't see anything better than this at the moment. It does well for what it "should" have been designed to do... provide maximum combo solution in a smaller confined space. It makes a couple of beeping noise when you turn it off, not a big deal... but seriously? Did we really need that sound indicator when the monitor goes "blank"? Can't have it all man, so I'm giving this monitor its due props.

Big & fast, but some caveats!
Pros: * Big! The 1920x1200 is huge. * Refresh rate is excellent. * Inexpensive.
Cons: * Took at least an hour to get 'good enough' color. Further efforts at calibration unfruitful. * Color consistency is lacking; top 1/3 colors look different than bottom 1/3 colors (gamma/contrast/brightness differences). * Viewing angle (vertical) poor (contributor to the above point). (Horizontal is avg) * Wake from sleep time is below average (sometimes doesn't wake up). * Electrical whine/buzz sound; bad enough to give a headache. Replacing because of this.
Other Thoughts: Samsung offered a refurbished replacement. Given ownership time when problem found (whine/buzz), I thought it unfair to provide a refurbished monitor; I bought a "new" monitor.
They don't even know when a "new" one will be available. Samsung's support staff is very nice, but limited due to their support application/program they use.
I am comparing the above to an old 20.1" LCD. It had slow refresh, but it was completely silent/woke up fast. I work with dozens of monitors each day in my field and this Samsung "feels cheap". Yes, it's big, yes it was inexpensive - you get what you pay for!
(I use 4.1 surround system on my PC, did not test monitor speakers)

get somthing else
Pros: big and cheap nice remote
Cons: In theory this should be an amazing monitor.. Its not.. there is a ridiculous amount of back light bleeding, mine has 3 dead pixels which cant be fixed. Also no height adjustment which is fine for me.. the bezel and stand attract so much dust I cant even explain how much. the touch button is annoying. I though samsung would be better. I will be getting a more expensive panel and throwing this with my tech station.

Great LCD for TV, DVD/VCR and Gaming
Pros: Works great with XBOX 360 using HDMI @ 1080p! Fills whole screen with 16x9, no borders, no stretching using default settings. Didn't make any changes during setup. Right out of the box! Displays cable digital TV perfectly. Works with current DVD/VCR combo no problem!
Cons: Has that viewing problem from different angles, especially if you mount it above eye height. Noticed that same height but different angles from center makes a big difference. Probably should mount this at eye height for best viewing!
Other Thoughts: Using it as basement exercise TV/DVD/VCR and also as gaming hookup.

Big and beatiful
Pros: Big and beautiful. Great picture. Lots of different inputs. Includes remote control which is fantastic for calibrating the monitor. I *love* the power button which isn't a button at all but a touch screen surface.
The glassy rim around the monitor is a nice touch. When there is light source behind the monitor (window, lamp, etc), the rim provides a very nice refraction effects.
Swivel is good.
Cons: It takes forever to turn on. In my impatience, I usually have to hit the keyboard and mouse repeatedly - which will inadvertently control the last computer program I was working on before I shut the monitor off.
Other Thoughts: The indicator light for the power button seems to operate counter to how I would expect it to.
Overall, the issue with powering on is small beans compared to how nice this monitor is in all other respects. 5 eggs.

Better Monitor than TV
Pros: 1920x1200 Gaming coloration and response is great through DVI. Lots of inputs. 1080p video is decent (but nowhere as good as my plasma TV). No lag when changing channels. Many picture settings to choose from. Swivel base is nice. Back bleed is about the same as most TN panels I have used so I wouldn't put that as a con.
Cons: Wake up from standby is very slow. Couldn't find any settings using HDMI from video card that really helped to improve the black levels, so I went back to DVI - just looks better. HDTV colors are highly saturated and it also has brightness issues, but luckily that is the only source that looks this way. Might be because I'm using coax in for TV. Might try another input with a STB to see if it improves. Some pixelation during fast action sports also. Speakers are monitor speakers, not TV.
Other Thoughts: I use this mainly as a monitor so I am pleased with the purchase. This should not be mistaken with a good TV, however, it does the job well enough for a hybrid. I do like how you can choose 16:9 through cable or hdmi TV input. I have another 16:10 Viewsonic NX2232 hybrid that doesn't let you do that. Buy it for the price, it's monitor capabilities, and as a second or third TV display. If you are looking for a primary TV set, buy something else.

Pros: Fantastic monitor, large/crisp auto setup for the internet (display settings) looks nice included cables vga dvi and sound finish and touch panel power on (vs. clunky button)
Cons: tiny CC, and channel text visible from only monitor distance. sounds flat shuts down when moved/jostled rearward inputs not easy access
Other Thoughts: recessed panel (slightly) will reflect some text @ some points not too easy to tilt viewing angles fussy (looks best straight on) works well with the nb205-210 i purchased here as well

Astounded
Pros: Quality, Price, ease of use, tactile buttons, nice remote control, when switching sources only cycles through attached connections! With much deliberation did I spend researching the right monitor for me; this one I can not be any happier with! Used on the bedroom CPU, this bad boy works great to watch movies from bed amongst other things.
Cons: None

You can tell when it's quality
Pros: Some review sites say this monitor has insufficient brightness stating it only has a true 217 cd/m2 compared to the 300 cd/m2 stated. but that cannot be true I have it sitting next to a fairly bright viewsonic vg2230wm which is a 250 cd/m2 and this one is far brighter. it's clarity, colors, shadow details, and contrasting ablity are far superior to my older viewsonic and the vg2230wm is a quality lcd screen. No dead pixels
Cons: not really a con, just to give details. it has very slight back light bleeding at the top edge and bottom edge. Other than that nothing at all. This is a high quality monitor and well worth 250.
Other Thoughts: Neweggs 8 pixel policy. I'm lucky mine came without any, but suppose I or someone else got one with 7 bright pixels in the middle of the screen. essentially the monitor is ruined and should be considered defective, samsungs policy is like 14 pixels to return. To me this policy is wrong. it puts way too much liability on the consumer.

Very Happy
Pros: Gets the job done. Great value. I bought two .. one for my college freshman for dual use as a monitor/tv with his macbook pro and another for my high school aged daughter as a TV/DVD monitor.
Cons: speakers are pretty thin. not really a problem for our application.
Other Thoughts: There is a matching bluray player but the price is WAY too high.

Buzzing/vertical line
Pros: - Very nice HD picture - Very stable base - Good remote
Cons: - OSD menu button are awful -- must use the remote - low level buzzing depending on contrast/brightness
Other Thoughts: I like the monitor generally. It had no dead pixel. The OSD is a pain to use but the remote takes care of setup. Others complain about low light. It must only be certain units because I had to turn down brightness to 10/100. It was too bright otherwise.
Unfortunately 3 days after starting to use it a bright vertical cyan line showed up. It disappeared after fiddling around with the silly OSD buttons. Maybe it wouldn't come back. Not so much -- the line was back 2 days later. Red this time. I took some pictures and was getting to fill out the RMA request. Amazingly the line disappeared again. 10 minutes later the line was back. Now it was back to cyan but only if on a purple background). Anyway this time the RMA has been filled out and its going back for replacement. I really didn't want to RMA it because of time and money. Let's hope for a better one next time.

T240HD is Awesome!
Pros: Incredible picture quality. I love the amount of inputs, you can connect PS3, Cable to the tuner, my pc through hdmi & still have ample connections left to play with. This screen is incredible bright. Speakers work great not the best but adequate for any task.
Cons: None to speak of
Other Thoughts: Going to grab another so I can have a dual monitor display for gaming. Love the red bezel. Newegg shipping was incredible as always.

Nice monitor
Pros: Very nice monitor. This is my 3rd Samsung. I was wondering why it only has 10000:1, when compared to other Samsung monitor. But it is still very good.
Cons: The speakers are downward firing, so it does not sound good. The bad part is that Newegg drop $10 right after I bought it. Newegg does not how to set prices!

It's Big...it's clear...it's perfect
Pros: Tons of inputs. Dual HDMI is nice (haven't used it yet though). Amazing resolution and clarity. Can't see any image distortion what so ever. Have it set up with DVI right now and am loving it. It is VERY bright. TV tuner is GREAT - Picked up more Comcast TV channels than our Sony Bravia 46" did out of the box (though that TV now has a cable box...) Picks up labels of channels and isn't too clumsy to label additional channels or pick favorites. Can dim power light or turn off completly.
Overall, totally worth the extra few dollars to get this one over the one without the tuner. Optical output is GREAT as is the component input.
Sturdy stand - for a mointor this size, it feels quite solid.
Has a headphone jack in the side pocket along with the 2nd HDMI...
Remote is wonderful - favorite channel selections are a great feature I didn't know this screen had. Pay the extra money for this one over the Samsung without the tuner. Refresh rate is just fine for gaming too.
Cons: No composite input :-( though i suspect it wouldn't look to great with all of the clarity this screen has.
VGA input is "PC" and can not be changed to say VGA. Not really a con, just a technicality on the label :-\
Glossy 1/4" lib around border of screen does reall reflect the image - i can see 2x of my start bar on the bottom as I'm typing this.
Vertical view angle is a little narrow, horizontal is great...
Can not wall mount, not that I was going to so it's not a problem, just be aware that you can not with this model.
Other Thoughts: It's really big. I'm comming from 2 19" 4:3 monitors and this one is the exact same size all in one. The glossy finish does show a LOT of dust, but it comes with a cleaning cloth in the box. No HDMI cable in the box. Don't use its speakers - like ALL flat screens the simply can not reproduce good sound. Complaints by people about bad speakers on ANY monitor should be ignored, they are asking for something impossible from a flat screen.

Perfect for home office
Pros: 24" 1920 x 1200 Display!!!! Matte Screen - no reflections! Bright enough in my room with lots of windows. Built-in ATSC Tuner. Bright, crisp display. No dead pixels!
Cons: The stand is a bit wobbly, but not enough to warrant anything less than 5 eggs.
Other Thoughts: I wanted this primarily as a PC display in my home office. The built-in ATSC digital TV tuner gives me the ability to watch some TV off of the antenna or from the TV out of our dish receiver if the mood strikes.
This display is lightweight - much lighter than the 20" Apple Cinema Display that it is replacing.

Pros: This is the best bang for your buck you can a 24inch HDTV for with this many connections.
Cons: I have two parts to this one a statement the other a quesiton. There is this low sounding hum when this TV is powered on that you wouldnt really know is there unless you mute the TV and get close or are in a smaller room. This I hope is with all the TVs not just mine. So can anyone else who purchased one power one your TV and mute it and tell me if you hear a hum? thanks

Perfect
Pros: I'll keep this review short. There's not much I can tell you that's not already in the product description. This monitor is nothing less than perfection. Even when it's sitting on the desk doing nothing it looks magnificent. Its nice, shiny black coat really stands out and reflects images on the screen for an overall breathtaking experience. Incredible! Good job Samsung!
Cons: The only con is I cannot plug my nintendo 64 into this monitor. Of course, that's not the monitor's fault. I still love it :)
Other Thoughts: Buy it! This puppy comes in many different sizes to fit any need or preference! You will not be disappointed!

Pros: This is an amazing monitor, the visuals are gorgeous and the design it's sell is modern/futuristic and sleek. I have not seen a better looking monitor than this...
Quality is great, it has a DVI Port, HDMI and component the price is well worth the $250 hell even $300!
I was able to plug in my PS3/Laptop through HDMI and enjoy the visuals and gameplay on my other gaming devices without any issues.
This is a fantastic monitor :) BUY IT! Don't wait!
Cons: None really...

Extremely Disappointing
Pros: 1920x1200 is the perfect resolution for development
Easy to put together, and the stand seems more stable than some posts claimed.
Doesn't take as much room on the desk as I expected
Cons: The monitor is 50% brighter at the bottom than it is at the top. I read this in some of the reviews and thought 'how bad can it be'. It is very noticeable, and out of the box the contrast was set to nearly 100% to keep the top from being too dark... making the bottom so glowing bright the text in the taskbar was blurry.
If you sit 6"-8" above the monitor, the bright spot is centered on the screen and it looks fairly even
The bleed from the bottom is also *very* noticeable when watching movies... again, I read about this and thought 'how bad can it be'.
The menu system is unfriendly and frustrating... the buttons are labeled 'source', 'menu', 'vol +/-', and 'ch +/-'... source acts sometimes as an enter or return, and menu acts as a menu or return, and I can't keep vol and ch straight, one navigates up and down, the other changes the setting.
Part of the problem is the buttons are at the side, so you can't really look at what you're pressing.
Other Thoughts: 24" is the perfect size for 1920x1200... I debated for the longest time between 24" and 25.5", but the 25.5" would have resulted in icons and text too large.
Newegg's delivery time for this was incredible; I ordered it 12/22 at 7:30 at night, and it was here by 1:00 Christmas eve.
I would return this if I could... Neweggs 'replacement only' policy really makes a big purchase like this a risk.
This monitor is really not suitable for PC use

fabulous
Pros: -easy to set up, simple connections to computer, laptop, comcast -good clear picture, fast delivery on time
Cons: would be great if it have an USB headphone, but the regular headphone jack is fine.
Other Thoughts: ilove the price, you get MORE than what the price indicates

Great Monitor
Pros: Wow, huge compared to my 17"! Picture looks great. The built in HD TV tuner is a plus, even though I will be using the monitor specifically for my computer. Tested the monitor with L4D2 and it ran great. Watching standard DVDs look great too. I strongly recommend this monitor.
Cons: I believe this is standard on a monitor this size, but it makes a little buzzing noise depending on what is displaying on the screen. Not a big deal, but just to point it out.
I tested the speakers and they seemed good for what they are. However, I will be using my 2.1 Logitech system instead XD.
Also, (don't base your choice on the following statement) something inside, like a small screw or piece of plastic, was rattling. Fortunately, the monitor still works.
Other Thoughts: Running Gv2 (Short for Grill Version 2) AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition 3.0GHz 4GB of DDR2 800MHz 9800GTX+ w/ 1GB DDR3

Clearing up aspect ratio
Pros: Built in HDTV tuner, does both TV and PC superbly, usually you get one or the other. Now for PC, you will want to use the entire 16:10 aspect ratio at a resolution of 1920x1200. This is a little higher than 1080p. Windows supports this resolution and it looks fantastic. I personally prefer 16:10, as it gives you more view vertically. All games support 16:10 aspect ratio. This monitor also looks very nice, no complaints there. I also have the T260HD version and this one has a better pixel pitch, .27x where the 26in. has .28x, so this one looks a tad sharper if you are sitting close to it. From a distance that small difference in pixel pitch is not so noticeable. Comes with a remote! Price is fantastic for what you get. OSD is decent and you can play with the settings for a while to fully customize and/or calibrate the monitor to your personal preference and needs.
Cons: Viewing angles are slightly worse than most monitors. I personally use an S-PVA panel with 178/178, this one has 160/150. The 150 vertical seems like it would be a problem, but if you keep yourself level with the screen its not a deal breaker, just don't have this panel set up high or low, keep it eye level. TN panels are cheap, but they are fast. 5ms is fast enough for most people. My S-PVA is 6 ms GTG but I have it tweaked along with my ATI cards color properties and image sharpening which take care of any ghosting there may have been, and I have yet to notice any ghosting, without the tweaking on this Samsung. I wish it had more HDMI inputs, but two was the norm at the time of this release.
Other Thoughts: Aspect ratio. Now the Xbox 360 cannot do a 16:10 aspect ratio. The monitor has two settings 4:3 or 16:10. Now 1920x1080 is the highest the Xbox 360 displays, which is 16:9 AR. But, the trick is, to set the monitor to 4:3 AR with the OSD and set the Xbox to 16:9, 1920x1080 and it will keep the image at 16:9, and not stretch it! I know its weird and many people do not think to switch it to 4:3, but it works and you are able to run 16:9 AR with the Xbox 360, and most likely the PS3. This will also work for HDTV stations that are 16:9 AR with a resolution of 1920x1080. So with this monitor/TV you get the best of everything! You can display 4:3, 16:9 AND 16:10 for that extra 180 lines of pixels. Try running your game at 1920x1080, then 1920x1200. May only be 180 extra lines but you will DEFINITELY notice the difference. 16:9 monitors cannot run all three resolutions, so don't listen to people who are constantly saying 16:10 monitors suck, because they don't understand the tech.

Very good picture and no ghosting
Pros: No dead pixels, quick shipping as always, best monitor I have owned so far. The remote is a nice feature instead of having to fiddle with buttons on the screen. I haven't tried hooking my cable up to it yet, but I assume it should be fine.
Cons: Sound from the monitor feels like it's coming from a tin can, but if you own this you probably have your own set of speakers. The custom labels for each input is nice, but they're too generic. I use a DVI connection for my PC and the default label for the VGA port is PC, so the list of inputs is confusing when cycling through. Wish you could ACTUALLY re-label them with a keyboard, but not enough of an issue to remove an egg.
Other Thoughts: The touch panel power button is nice, but sometimes when it's dark and you want to turn it on, it takes a few seconds to find. Just swipe your finger across the bottom corner and it will find it.

Great monitor, but it has it's flaws.
Pros: Remote control, good options to tweek color, great looking unit, tv tuner, lots of input options.
Cons: Noticable backlight bleed in dark scenes when watched in a dark room, some ver minor color blooming.
Other Thoughts: Based on my experience alone, I would feel very comfortable giving this product a solid 5/5; but I am not necessarily the average user that will be buying this monitor.
I picked this monitor because it fit my very specific needs. I wanted a monitor w/ built in speakers and a remote that I could alternatively use as a small tv for the bedroom (hooked up to a ps3 as a BR player) and as a desktop monitor once I have my new computer. I also wanted something that looked stylish and on the design front Samsung knocks it out of the park. Beautiful set.
For me, this monitor was perfect.
But as a computer monitor it has a couple of issues. Firstly there is a fair amount of backlight bleed through at the top and bottom of the screen and while colors can be very accurately rendered in 1080p, I noticed a little bit of blooming. Not something you would notice at normal tv viewing distance, but defiantly noticeable @ the closer distance for monitor viewing.

Very Happy
Pros: * Came with all the cables I needed for my setup. * Very clean, clear, bright picture. * Great sound quality for being close to the monitor. * No dead pixels. * Works out of the box, easy to setup, no-hassle.
Cons: * Flimsy base, it wobbles a lot, so be sure to seat on flat surfaces. * Wake-up time when connected to DVI seems to take a while randomly. Sometimes it will take a second or two to wake up, other times it takes 20-30 seconds.
Other Thoughts: Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Shipped fast, worked out of the box without any issues, no dead pixels, no humming sounds or noises. I am a bit put-off about the warranty and dead-pixel qualification though.
Great monitor for the price, I am using it for my PC and TV in my room, sound quality is fine for replacing my old speakers. They aren't extremely loud but loud enough if you are in the room you can hear it fine.
I would recommend this to others. I am happy with the purchase.

Pros: the monitor itself looks really good the picture looks amazing no dead pixels, have been using it for more than 3 months.
Cons: it does not have composite input, if you have a device with composite connection, you have to get component connection instead.
composite is the one with 3 wires, component has 5. Component can show better graphics.

Pros: Great screen, great picture, love having all the different input options. Price was very good compared to what I've seen this (and similar models) elsewhere. No problems with games or any of the video streaming I've done so far. No dead pixels. I have NHL GameCenter Live (streaming NHL games) and watching them full-screen is really a treat.
Cons: Power cord is a little loose in the socket in the back, have to make sure it is very securely connected or risk it falling out.
I'm not sure if this is the fault of the monitor or not, but I'm having some troubles when the computer comes out of sleep mode, I've been having to turn if off then back on to get it to wake up. I've not had time to try and troubleshoot the problem yet.
Other Thoughts: The inside bevel at the edges of the screen can show a bit of reflection from the screen itself, which isn't terrible, just something to be aware of.
Also, the very outside edges of the monitor are a clear material that pick up some of the light and color of what's behind it. If this monitor isn't on a desk near a wall, you may see some of the light of a window, or TV, etc ... anything behind it which had the potential to be distracting in those specific situations. This really isn't a complaint, just an observation.

Nice Monitor
Pros: Good looking monitor, nice finish "TOC". Picture quality is very sharp and clear. Great monitor for gaming in 1080p/hdmi. Headphone jack.
Cons: tv tuner is very basic, has no epg. But gets the job done when watching tv:) speakers sound very low even when on max volume.(external speakers recomended) Plenty of inputs but has no composite input only component. not wall mountable.
Other Thoughts: I am currently using this monitor as a gaming monitor (PS3) and i have to say the picture quality is awesome. This monitor is a fingerprint/dust magnet, have to clean it every now and then.

Big screen for me!
Pros: No bad pixel ... yet!
Cons: Humming noise every time turning it on for 5-10 second. Had to set high on Backlight to avoid other humming noise, but bad for your eyes!
Other Thoughts: Have read all info/manual to overcome the humming noise. No RCA input is really bad. My other cheaper TV/monitor is working better than this.

Wow....
Pros: 24 inches of HD goodness. Dual HDMI connections, speakers and HDTV tuner to boot!
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I went from a Samsung 19" lcd to this, so you can imagine my surprise at how much I've been missing out on. Blu Ray's look fantastic on this. I don't have this hooked up to any gaming consoles, but pc Gaming in high res is amazing. Playing Crysis/MW2 at 1900 x 1200 is too sweet to believe.

Pros: I got my Samsung T240HD from Newegg.com for $260. For the same price at Walmart; I could of gotten a 22'' 720p Vizio with not even haft quality of a Samsung. The Samsung has 2" more of a screen and 360 progressive scan more and a resolution of 1930×1200 is send of 1366×768. The aspect is also 16:10 in stead of 16:9 which 16:10 in the newest and best aspect. The HD tuner is amazing in this LCD. TV never seemed so clear and you get the best quality picture possible with the full HD LCD. Don't forget this is a monitor. I uses this display with my laptop and I set it up so I could uses use both the displays at the sames time. This is called dual displays. With dual displays multitasking is a lot easier and simpler. Since you can compare to things at once.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: NONE

Great Monitor and HDTV
Pros: Great Contrast Ratio. Picture color and contrast does not change as much when vertical viewing angle or horizontal viewing angle is changed, that is when you standup or when you are lower than the Monitor, or when you are viewing from 170 degrees. Great price. The resolution is 1920x1200 which is great.
Cons: No VESA mount. The stand is permanent and there is no way to mount this to a VESA mount or to the wall.
Other Thoughts: This HDTV picked up more channels than my other HDTV, I think its because it has soem type of decryption for some channels. I was surprised by this. Works great as both a Monitor and HDTV. HD Tuner is built in.

Great Deal
Pros: Versatile. Monitor easy on the eyes even as close as 2 feet away. 3 feet seems to be the ideal distance when viewing as a monitor. Easy to follow menus. Like the channel listings display after completing the auto channel set up. Plenty of input options. Feel that this is an ideal size for a monitor and am using it primarily as a secondary monitor driven by my lap top. Now wondering why I haven't done this sooner. No dead pixels could be found. Very happy with going with this model. Simply stated, can't go wrong with this one, IMO.
Cons: Wish the monitor could tilt down more than it does. Vertical is about it. Has a lot of tilt back, though, for those who need it. Definitely use external speakers when using as a TV. There is an audio output on the back and you can turn the monitor speakers to off. But, I didn't buy this because of the speakers, so not really a big deal. Some blur occurs when watching fast action. Don't play video games, so the 5ms speed may be of some concern for some who need something more in line with a 2ms speed.
Other Thoughts: Never had such a smooth transaction with anyone like I just had with Newegg buying this monitor. Their communication and shipping speed exceeded my expectations and any experience I've had with other retailers. Newegg has earned my respect and future business. Simply stated, they are a first class business. Overall, a great buy on a good product from a great business.

Just buy it!
Pros: Great picture, great price, nice remote, looks awesome, lots of inputs, comes with cables to hook it up, 1920 x 1200 resolution. I was used to a 19" fullscreen and compared to that this 24" is huge. Stand has all the adjustments I need. Easy setup, 5 minutes and I had it up and working.
Cons: Some backlight bleed at the very bottom of the frame. Also, inside edge of frame reflects whatever is on the screen. Not a big deal but the inside edge should have a matte finish.
Other Thoughts: No dead pixels. Screen is very bright by default, I had to go in the settings to dim it down some. Why did I wait so long to buy this?

Best monitor ever!
Pros: This lcd came with zero dead pixel, well It came with 3 stuck pixel but I easily tap it back to life. I came from crt monitors and I didn't noticed any ghosting what so ever. The qam tuner is great, I got some hd local channel because of it. I don't know why people are hating on the built in speaker, for me personally I think its pretty good. I guess ppl were expecting home theatre type of speaker system? As for as black light bleeding, its hardly noticeable at all. I'm a picky guy when it comes to monitor and I can't find anything wrong with this monitor at all.
Cons: none

Perfect all around monitor
Pros: -Excellent clear picture. As soon as I got it out of the box ran some color tests. Everything looked good to me! Did not have to adjust a thing. -Lots of inputs - Nice sleek appearance - Easy to use remote - Excellent Performance with anything you throw at it
Cons: -The plastic bezel reflects the screen at times. - Power button? Try again Samsung - Slow to come out of sleep mode as others have said, but not a big deal. - The stand is a little cheap feeling.
Other Thoughts: For the price it can not be beat. 1080P TV for under 300$ that is also a excellent computer monitor.

You can't go wrong for the price
Pros: This is my first full HDTV, so I don't have anything else to compare it to other than my old 720p monitor. This being said, I can still tell that this is a great buy. The picture quality is fantastic, the colors are very accurate, lots of input options and the sound is better than what I expected.
Cons: Component input did not display correctly on my Xbox 360. It was as if the resoultion wasn't scaling right. The picture quality was terrible, and the colors were really off despite my best efforts to correct them. I ended up having to RMA it and am awaiting a new one.
Other Thoughts: Based on the other reviews, I thought the sound was going to be awful. It's really not that bad. You just have to turn it up pretty high to really be able to hear it.

Poor picture
Pros: If it was working right, I'd be very happy with the display. At this point, no real happy.
Cons: I'm using this display as my computer monitor and also as a TV from time to time. Poor picture quality, hoping there an adjustment that can be made. At this point I can not use it like this. Image has the appearance as if a coaxial cable is not seated correctly. The display even flickers at the bottom edge. all attempts have been made to verify it's not a cable or the computer. I even hooked up a DVD player just hoping and I got the same result. I'm not happy!

Pretty sweet monitor
Pros: Huge display aesthetically pleasing tv tuner HD TV (when using the tv tuner) looks freakin' sweet.
Cons: No tile. It's not needed when im sitting at my desk working away, however, when im in bed, it would be nice to tilt down so the viewing angle is better. often times when im lower than center (in bed) some of the blacks can look gray.
would have liked to see it in Blue-Black, but the red is still pretty sweet. not near enough of a "con" to take off a star, if that could even be considered a 'con'.
I've had this thing for about 6 months and I haven't had any problems with it. As you've read in every other review, yes, it does show fingerprints and dust well. That's to be assumed with any high-gloss finish, however, you shouldn't be touching your monitor that much. Once you have it placed on your desktop, wipe it down and be done with it.
I just found out a few weeks ago that it had speakers built in.... ha. shows how much homework i did, even though I researched monitors for about 4 days befre buying this one. I found out when i used the tv tuner. :)
Other Thoughts: So like I said, I did research on monitors for the better part of a week and finally bought this one. I remember getting caught up in all the specs... i.e. This one has 300 cd/m2, but this other one has 1000 cd/m2 for only $50 more, but it has 8 ms response time. Phhhh.. i got caught up in all those specs. sure they're nice to know and but i think I got caught up in them... i should have just bought this when I first saw it. love at first sight. LOL i guess...
anyways, i use this monitor for gaming and the games look awesome - at first i had to get used to such the huge resolution (coming from 19" lol) I also use it for photoshop and 3ds max, zbrush, illustrator, etc. If youre worried about colors, dont be, they look fine. + your graphics card should come with some software for color tweaking. I dont have any problem with glare. I would buy this monitor again... but if they offered it in blue, i would buy the blue one.. or even green. :D

The replacement is great
Pros: The replacement works great. No dead pixels that I can see, and the on/off icon works fine. (I gave the first one they shipped 1 egg because it was DOA and I was ticked off that I hadn't read the RMA carefully and had to pay to return it.) The one dead pixel completely escaped my notice till I went hunting for flaws while writing this. The touch on/off icon is very responsive. I LOVE the picture quality. I had no problems getting it installed on my Vista machine, and no problems when I upgraded to W7.
Cons: The monitor adjustment interface took some getting used to, but my tech knowledge is not that high so it probably won't bother most.

Simply Amazing
Pros: Works excellent as both a TV and a monitor. I have limited space and needed something that was both a TV and a monitor. I was concerned that it would work well as one but not as the other. Was pleasantly surprised that it performs brilliantly as both. Text and websites are crisp and vibrant and the HDTV is excellent. Worth every penny. I've had it for about 8 months and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm waiting to get a PS3 so I can watch BluRay movies, which I expect will look simply amazing. I currently watch movies via my PC DVD-ROM, which works very well.
Cons: I did have to adjust the picture settings on my video card to sharpen the image and get colors to pop on the monitor function. Also the built in speakers aren't all that great. I was aware of this issue when I bought the unit and bought a new speaker set that plugs into the headphone jack, which works just fine.
Other Thoughts: Unless you give the unit a very hard jolt, the flimsy base that others have commented on shouldn't be an issue. I haven't had any problems with it. Overall this TV/Monitor is simply amazing!
