Rating + 5 Worth the extra money

Pros: Has display adjusting features other 30" monitors to not.

Cons: Really expensive.

Other Thoughts: A friend of mine had the 30" monitor from a company whose name begins with D. The monitor was too bright for my eyes even on its lowest setting, and it had only one picture adjustment: brightness; everything else had to be controlled from software. Many other 30" monitors are the same way. Not this monitor: it has a real menu system like any other monitor, and, unlike the D 30" monitor, it remembers its settings between power cycles. Some people will love how blazingly bright this monitor gets, but I love the opposite: how dim I can make it and still keep the screen readable. (I have light-sensitive eyes, I guess.) It's pricey, but I'm glad I bought this and not one of the less feature-ful cometitors.

Rating + 5 Great for graphics I'm sure :)

Pros: I'm sure it's fantastic at that res for graphics intensive things, but for anyone looking for a good cheaper monitor, the Sceptre 32" 6ms LCD in the TV section works very well.
I bought one here for around 1/3 the price of this and have it running at 1980 x 1080 on a HD4870x2 with a Olevia 747i cloned to it for movies just perfectly. Just thought I'd mention that for anyone cruising the monitors area :)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Thought I might steer people that way if they are looking at a large monitor purchase and just came in here looking at this one to drool like I have :)

The Spectre 32 incher at 1080P does make a very nice low priced monitor.

Rating + 5 totally satisifed

Pros: great colour instantly can tell a difference from old 30" panel. shockingly better greens and much bigger gamut.
Am using Spectraview 2 software with i1 calibrator pukc ($) and before/after graphs show very little change, which means its got excellent calibration out the box.

Cons: Price.
Spectraview 2 software not included. for $2200 it should be.
and then some... NEC are idiotic about selling Spectraview 2 software to you. You can download it, but not use it. They want to sell you the boxed CD, probably not the latest release, and send through the post, BUT are nearly always out of stock. My ETA was a month! In this day and age whats that about??
Sure take an extra $100 from me for software you should include, but just sell me the activation code so I can use the latest version software I download from your site.. idiotic.

Other Thoughts: Great great monitor. at this point in time (early 2009) its the one for anyone in photo/colour critical apps. stop looking and get it.

Rating + 2 Overpriced Screen

Pros: One of the better 30" displays out there

Cons: This monitor really has no place. Anyone willing to spend $1000 more for this monitor because they want a higher quality screen should be looking at the EIZO FlexScan SX3031W as that screen stomps this one, (however costs even more)

Other Thoughts: If your looking for quality go with the EIZO FlexScan SX3031W
If your looking for 30" High resolution without breaking the bank, this isn't it.

Tech Level: somewhat high
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg

Rating + 5 Very good quality

Pros: No dead pixels
Video quailty beats my Viewsonic VP2030b monitors
Lots of video settings and color adjustments
Met expectations for the price. I have returned 2 monitors before this because they didn't meet my expectations.
My NVIDIA 7800 GTX 256mb ram can drive it (although I bought the GTX280 for it)
Comes in sufficient packaging

Cons: Makes high pitch ring when it sleeps

Other Thoughts: Default settings are to adjust the brightness automatically. This annoyed me so I turned it off, no problem.
Needs to warm up after sleep to achieve best color
I'm very happy with this monitor

Rating + 1 hundreds of bad pixels

Pros: huge

Cons: 4 months later, I have -hundreds- of bad pixels- mostly green, but others red/blue. Mainly right side, also top and bottom.

Have never had an LCD monitor do this- treated it like a baby.

Let's see how good their warranty service is.

Rating + 5 best 30" monitor?

Pros: just what i needed for photoshop and moderate gaming. now viewing photos i dont have drag it all over the place or shrink to fit.

Cons: price, still wondering whether it is the best 30" monitor as i am unable to find out if it is better than the 3008fp dell.

lower color gamut % than the dell 08

Other Thoughts: did not buy this from newegg because shipping would of cost me $250+

Rating + 5 Remarkable quality and performance and for Photography and Gaming

Pros: ***NO DEAD PIXELS***
Compatible for high resolution for highend video cards
built in calibration
vibrant colors.
Fast response time for my gaming needs
Superior H-IPS panel display

Cons: no integrated hdmi
no usb
comes with LONG dvi cables
Its software is useless on vista

Other Thoughts: This Monitor is aimed at photography pros who need color critical results. its a superior monitor all around, and IMO the samsung 305t really cant hold a candle to this monitor in any area. This monitor is on a whole other level when it comes to display quality vs other 30'' monitors listed on newegg. I spent 3 good months comparing monitors and doing my homework by reading reaviews on each monitor and their pros and cons. This monitor got rave reviews. This monitor after calibrated is far by one of the best 30'' out there if cost wasn't an issue.

Rating + 5 NEC Display LCD3090WQXi-BK

Pros: This Monitor is ausome! I love this huge monster monitor. You can not go wrong with this baby for the price and it looks better then what the pictures on here show it as. I actually think I am in the movies when I am watching movies on here and I will soon have a blueray player so it's HDCP and I can't wait to get that set up when I do get the money for it.

Thanks to the 4yr Warranty plan and it comes with a paper to purchase an extended 2yr warranty so 6 yrs toltal and I will be purchasing that too.....

Cons: Verry Expensive Price..... and there are 2 stuck pixles already since I have owned it but it's not anything that bothers me cause the pictures so ausome that you don't even notice it EVER unless im looking for it hehe.... at first I was not liking it but if I get any more and I can't stand it I will be shipping it back....

Other Thoughts: Ausome monitor and great for games and movies :)
