I Love it!
Pros: This is a VERY nice monitor! The picture quality is incredible. I am a graphic artist and I do all sorts of photoshop artwork and editing. I really needed a monitor that can generate correct colors and brightness levels, as much as possible. Well this beast surpassed all my needs and then some. =]
It has 2ms delay which means you don't see much ghosting or much blurring (when fast cars drive across the screen, etc). The contrast ratio is excellent. Not the highest, but it really does a great job with the picture output. (especially if you calibrate it and adjust the gamma levels correctly).
The black bezel is cool and stylish. The stand is stiff and sturdy. It doesn't get all hot like CRTs do (My previous 19" CRT used to turn my room into an oven!). No dead pixels on mine. Delivers great movie quality and games too! I played COD: World at War, Quake 3 Arena, Quake 4, Doom:3, Resurrection of Evil and Stalker. All worked out great. Huge working space. =]
Cons: I wasn't overly thrilled with the touch sensitive buttons. I like real buttons. It will take time to get used to it. I keep pressing the wrong ones or accidentally turning off my monitor when i try and switch over to some other setting. It's not poorly made. I just haven't gotten the hang of this technology yet. But the monitor is so cool, I can deal with it. =]
While this monitor's input is only 60Hz, it defies the eye strain factor most monitors with low Hz have. I have been on this thing for literally over 11 hours! No eye strain or twitching as of yet.
The brightness and gamma settings aren't calibrated out of the box. You may have to adjust them yourself. Mine was blinding bright but its perfect now. =]
It doesn't come with an HDMI or DVI cable. So keep that in mind. It only comes with a comon analog cable most monitors use to connect to your common household PC video card/chip. If you want better image quality and your video card is compatible, use HDMI or DVI cables. =
Other Thoughts: I upgraded from a 19" CRT monitor. I still haven't gotten used to this yet. It's so big. I love that I can have multiple windows open. Like one browser window opened on the right or left hand side while my dvd player or media player window is playing movies/music on the opposite side and still have room for a messenger window underneath that. Amazing!! =D The screen panel itself measures at about 12" inches in height and 21"inches in width, making 24" inches diagonally. That's a lot of good computing space! BELIEVE me! I was going to get something larger, but this is BIG enough. Don't underestimate the power of a good LG monitor. :P The stand you connect to the monitor is almost 3" inches high and wont go above or below that. About 18-19 inches in total height with stand. The monitor does swivel and tilt. This thing is just great. I was worried it would be short and long. I hate those monitors. But this is tall and long. It's worth the dollars. Newegg rocks! Delivered to me one da

good monitor
Pros: great monitor, 1 dead pixel.
Cons: 1 dead pixel, I'm a little disappointed that the minimum for monitor return is 8 dead pixels. I suppose I can deal with this, But if i am going to pay $275 dollars, i expect it to be perfect. This is my first problem with LG.
Other Thoughts: I have already reviewed this product once before. But overall its a great monitor, just wish i didn't have 1 dead pixel.

Happy Camper
Pros: Everything works. Clear and vibrant colors. No ghosting that I've noticed. Stand tilts. No bad pixels! Touch sensor controls are a nice touch. Good price for what you get.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Great gaming monitor. I plan to hook up an Xbox to it in the future, so the audio output jack is a nice feature. Blacks are richer compared to my previous lcd monitor. Color settings were right for me right out of the box. Overall a great buy. Order yours today!

Good montior
Pros: Great display used in gaming L4D 2 and MW2 look amazing compared to their 360 counterparts. Great response time for your fast paced gaming needs and arrived with no dead pixels. Monitor is bright enough to attract your attention but not enough so to burn your eyes Enough work space on the desktop for most app's as well as a static contrast ratio higher than most dynamic Switch between your computer (DVI) to your 360/ps3 (HDMI) with just a touch on the monitor offers a great geektastic multitasking
Cons: Didn't buy one for myself
Other Thoughts: Built a system for a friend and got him this display, needless to say I mooched games off him being tired of my own 19" standard 8ms response monitor from acer, was good then but not now.
If it was only LED backlit I would definitely have to break the bank for it. But a very good monitor I could recommend to anyone shopping for one.

WOW!
Pros: Amazing quality, everything seems SO MUCH BIGGER on this than my old LG 19inch.
Cons: This moniter is KILLING my 8800gtx, looking to upgrade to the EVGA GTX 285 2gb if it ever comes back into stock, seems like ive been waiting for 3 months now.
Still haven't figured out why LG doesnt include a DVI cable or connector...
????
Other Thoughts: Good moniter, no dead pixels, packaging was very safe.

Not a true monitor, don't be fooled
Pros: Probably a good HDTV
Cons: Not a real monitor even though it has no HDTV tuner.
I learned the hard way that these 1080p devices are not real monitors, but just sharing screens with LCD TVs to lower retail cost.
Using an HDMI cable I connected the LG to a brand new ATI Radeon 5850, a really nice card on Windows 7. Experience out of the box? - at the documented 1920 x 1080 resolution, the display does not default to full screen.
After spending a few hours researching knowledge bases, blogs, etc and finally with LG and ATI support, I learned that the LG device is not properly reporting it's EDID information so that the video card can correctly set the Scaling.
ATI article 737-18883 under the Setting the desktop resolution section provides the necessary settings. However, ATI changed it's Catalyst Control panel, basically burying the Scaling Options needed to finally get full resolution.
From what I have gathered, for computing go with a monitor that supports 1920 x 1200, 1080p is for HDTV.

Yeah.. it's that good.
Pros: So I tested this baby out with my 8800gtx (no HDMI) and the colors were amazing. Decided to purchase a 5870 just to see how the HDMI would look and the unit is immaculate. Colors are beyond perfect for the price.
Cons: People are complaining about the "touch menu". There is some getting used to with this function but anyone with half a brain can figure it out (people probably didn't wash their hands before hand is my guess).
Other Thoughts: Newegg is the greatest, been buying for 6 years now (first purchase made 5/6/05) and they've always been wonderful. Keep it up guys!

Awesome Monitor
Pros: Amazing monitor, for many reasons! Excellent blacks, not a single dead pixel, HUGE, nice 1080p quality, a couple of cool options, like "Movie" and "Internet" etc etc... 2ms response time is very nice for my fps gaming, so yea this monitor is very nice.
Cons: Dust magnet, and the touch buttons can be annoying if you are trying to set the settings but I doubt every time you turn it on your going to use them, so their fine, and I love the fact that this monitor does not have a single button on it.
Other Thoughts: I hate ups. I love newegg. Does that cancel each other out? Comes only with a vga cable, but I ordered the 7$ hdmi cable from here so that doesn't really bother me.

Wonderful
Pros: Very bright and crisp. Love the touch controls. Auto adjusting brightness responds nicely to changes in room light levels. Very thin. Games look great and smooth with no ghosting. Not a single bad pixel. Its actually amazing how much more gaming graphic detail I noticed.
Cons: Same as what most others have mentioned. No HDMI/DVI cable included. Included VGA cable is rather short. No height adjustments on stand. Because of how my computer desk is situated, none of these really bothered me so I didn't knock the rating at all.
Other Thoughts: I've only used this monitor for a day so far but I am very impressed!
The touch controls are nice but rather than just lighting up a small dot under each button it would have been nice if they light up the text of what the button does so you could see them in the dark. The monitor is so bright it makes the text hard to see.
Not sure how useful the "Fun" features such as photo color styles are but they are interesting.

LG2453V - Beast
Pros: This monitor is absolutely great. I am upgrading this from an LG 1920P 19" monitor. The contrast ratio is better, colors look better.
Cons: 59Hz? See below. Please post comments if you know any more on this issue.
Other Thoughts: So, here's the deal. I know other people are running into this issue. When I set this bad boy to 1920x1080, I get a message that says DVI signal out of range. Running Windows XP, but forum posts on the internets tell me that this also happens in W7. For some reason this can not be clocked to 60Hz refresh rate at that resolution, refresh rate needs to be set to 59Hz. After doing that I had no problem, however, games also need to be set to this refresh rate. I had to update MW2 config file with resolution/refresh rate and WoW I had to turn refresh rate down to 56Hz from 60. Without setting the games, when launching you will see the same message saying DVI out of range. I know this is across multiple video cards, ATI & Nvidia, as well as XP and W7, not sure about Vista.
It does sound that this is more of an industry issue, not specific to this monitor iteself, or even LG, but across the board. Just wanted to throw this out there so people are aware. Hope somebody fixes this.

Absolutely beautiful
Pros: This monitor is the best-looking monitor I have ever seen. I love the max resolution at 1920 x 1080 and I use it all the time. My games look stunning and the colors are perfect. The touch buttons are really nice and I feel like I'm in a futuristic movie when I use them. They're a bit confusing at first, but they're so neat that I don't even care.
Cons: Does not tilt. The monitor itself is amazing, but I had to knock off an egg because I can't tilt this thing. My desk sits pretty high and my chair can only extend up so much. I can't see the top-middle of my monitor because I sit lower than the monitor itself.
Can't attach this to any wall mount devices. It would sure be wonderful if I could. I didn't have the intention to, but it would be nice to have the option in case I'm expanding my gaming experience.
Other Thoughts: I wish I could get two of these things, but for $300 a piece I'll have to wait a long time in between.

Nice monitor for gaming
Pros: No dead pixels, nice vibrant colors, high contrast, no "ghosting" when playing games. I found no difficulties with the stand, as long as you screw it in tight its very solid. Nice price.
Cons: No DVI cable, I knew it did not come with one before I ordered but LG should include a DVI cable. Touch button controls are not very intuitive and difficult to get used to. Sometimes its best to try and keep certain things simple LG.
Other Thoughts: Not sure if this happened at newegg but someone opened the box. There was one piece of tape holding the opening diagonally, you can see the horizontal tape that was cut. Also the sheet covering the monitor was cut in two places. Luckily the screen was not damaged. Very nice monitor for the price, but it should include a DVI cable and the touch control buttons are a pain.

Like it!
Pros: Looks great, good resolution, accepts VGA, DVI, & HDMI.
Cons: Menu buttons hard to find without very good lighting. No USB Hub. No speakers.
Other Thoughts: There is a headphone jack, I think it pulls from the HDMI.

W2453V-PF
Pros: Great colors and contrast ratio. Looks great; sleek, "high tech" look. Decent Price. Unlike other reviewers I think the stand is pretty sturdy, better than most.
Cons: 1 dead pixel. About 4 inches to the right and 5 inches from the bottom, in the bottom right center of the screen. It's bright purple and very noticeable during dark scenes in moves and games, and on black backgrounds. Newegg and LG will not replace monitors with only 1 dead pixel so I guess I'm out of luck. Also, as mentioned, the touch controls take some getting used to, and can be very frustrating.
Other Thoughts: All in all a good monitor but I'm pretty disappointed about the dead pixel.

Good, but not BEST.
Pros: No dead pixels. Decent price for the size. Slick bezel.
Cons: I bought this monitor and then bought a mounting arm for it only to find out that this monitor doesn't have holes on the back for the mounting bracket. I guess I assumed all monitors had mounting capability. This model doesn't. The color is ok, but compared to the Samsung I bought to replace it, it's not quite as stunning.

Wonderful
Pros: I love this monitor. My first LCd was a 19 inch and cost 1k and was from NEC a great manufacturer. I havent had a hugh amount of experience with LCD. Have 4 on my desk at work buit this monitor blows anything I have used previously away.
Cons: Havent found any yet.
Other Thoughts: Well worth the money I suggest this monitor for the money.

Awesome monitor; a MUST have
Pros: Beautiful crisp, clear image with an incredible response time and wonderfully huge for for such a low price.
Cons: No DVI or HDMI cables; deduct one egg.
Other Thoughts: Worth the penny. Note to NewEgg: send us a DVI cable and an HDMI cable since LG won't...

Beautiful
Pros: This monitor is absolutely beautiful! The touch controls are amazing and overall this monitor oozes class. Very crisp image that puts my older Acer monitor to shame.
Cons: Only came with a VGA cable. I knew that before I purchased it but its still lame that LG doesn't send you a DVI or HDMI cable. Takes up a lot of space, but I'm sure you're expecting that when you purchase a 24" monitor.
Other Thoughts: If you're going to dual-screen two of these bad boys, make sure you got enough desk space. The border around the screen is a bit wide (about 3/4 - 1 inch) which also makes the gap between dual monitors even larger

Amazing monitor
Pros: This is an awesome monitor. Got it with no dead pixels. Definite upgrade from my previous LCD display. Very bright and the colors are wonderful.
Touch buttons on the front are nice, but the little lights make them good. I've seen monitors with touch buttons that you can't see where the buttons are. When your hand gets near, it shows you where the buttons are which is a definite plus.
Tilt and swivel is nice. Stand not too bad overall. Very wide so you don't feel like it's going to fall over like some other monitors.
Haven't tried it out with my PS3 yet but I am excited to, as other reviewers said, the 1080p makes this panel even better.
Little extra money compared to some other brands but definitely worth parting with the extra cash. You get a much higher quality panel.
Was a little hesitant to buy an LG (always have been impressed with Samsung), but I am very impressed with this LCD and would buy another in a heartbeat.
Cons: Not really a con but the glossy finish always attracts fingerprints and dust, especially with the touch buttons.
Other Thoughts: If you plan to use DVI or HDMI, buy a cable with it, only comes with VGA cable.

Great Monitor
Pros: Absolutely beautiful display. No dead pixels which made me so happy.
Cons: No DVI cable! I mean come on, I had to run out and spend another 20 dollars for a cable.
Other Thoughts: This monitor was exactly what I was looking for. For the price I really feel this monitor is hard to beat. I have read reviews about the controls on the monitor and I find these extremely easy to use and perfer them to any other monitor I have had. If you are looking for a great gaming monitor with a great picture this is the one for you. Please keep in mind this baby is big but that is what I was looking for. Newegg as always rocks with it lightning fast shipping.

Worth the extra $$ SOME GOOD INFO HERE
Pros: Best possible picture. (period). Very high tech looking, I bought 2 of these, and neither one has a bad pixel. I feel for the guy who posted below me though, I think 1 bad pixel should warrant a return. (Even though Newegg requires you to have 8 or more, LG only requires you to have 3 or more.)
You will notice this monitor comes with many options, some I was worried about getting like auto-light sensor, and "take-a-break" reminders. But all this crud can be shut off making it like a regular monitor. Except a regular monitor with picture quality that is not matched.
I consider the touch buttons a pro, they arn't as frustrating as people are saying. They are very solid, and work as they should. If I found any problem with the touch buttons it would be that I sometimes leave a fingerprint on them when using them because the finish is glossy.
These monitors can pull off the same resolution and dot pitch as the standard highest definition large format T.V.s, But does it within 24"
Cons: Stands arn't all perfectly uniform, like I said I bought two, and sitting next to eachother 1 sits about 3/8" higher than the other. Though I was able to correct this with some jerry rigging. Could always just buy a monitor arm too. Another thing that is kinda annoying is the backlight in the monitor shuts off when the screen is black, (I.E. when a game is loading, in a black scene in a movie, even when your background is simply black) but not a big deal, even your small mouse pointer will cause the backlight to come back on. So far I haven't seen any option to shut this feature off. I assume its considered an energy saving feature. Or possibly its to give the impression of zero light bleed during black screens.
Doesn't come with a DVI cable.
Other Thoughts: They don't sell this brand at wally world so already you know it's a plus. Shop around, even on Newegg, you wont find monitors with the same specs near this price range with the same high rating as these. Hanns-G has good prices, but its luck of the draw whether or not it will keep working after about a month. Plus they have a high chance of getting one with dead pixels. Acer/Asus don't make them the same size at this quality.
1080p IS IMPORTANT! Not just resolution. Do your research. Without progressive scan you can only pull off the best DVD quality, not Blu-Ray or HD Games.
Also due to the size/resolution of the monitor, TURN ON V-SYNC. This goes for any monitors of this spec, this will elliminate any "tearing" that you see in games or movies.

Mediocre, but ALMOST great
Pros: Arrived quickly and safely Light-weight and thin Easy to assemble Swivles (actually rotates) Looks nice
Cons: No tilt or height adjustment
(1) dead pixel...this is a total bummer. The monitor is very nice for the price, BUT I hate the dead pixel. I've owned a Dell for many years which has more features and no display problems, but I gambled when upgrading screen size and purchased this LG. Next time I'll spend more money and just get another Dell with no dead pixels. The idea that LG knowingly let this imperfect unit leave their factory, and now that it's in my possession without possibility of return because of the 8-pixel, just totally rubs me the wrong way!
Other Thoughts: You cannot return monitors to NewEgg if they have 8 or fewer dead pixels...and LG ships monitors with dead pixels...know these things before deciding on your purchase.

BEST MONITOR PERIOD
Pros: This HD Monitor is bettewr than most people's HDTV's! It's a sick 24 inches and most of all the contrast ratio of 50,000 gives you some of the best quality money can buy.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I leave my desktop all black or all white sometimes just to appreciate this monitor's excellence. Blackest blacks, whitest whites.

Great Monitor
Pros: The picture quality and response from this monitor is great. Have had no dead pixels *knock on wood* or any other problems.
I personally like the Auto Dim feature on the monitor at times it keeps the brightness just right for all kinds of lighting conditions.
Cons: -Touch buttons are annoying at times -Only a VGA cable - Ewwwww - Doesn't make me breakfast
Other Thoughts: Computer Specs Motherboard - Asus P6T LGA 1333 Processor - Intel I7 2.66 Memory - 6GB OCZ Platinum 1600 Video Card - BFG Nvida GTX280 Hard Drive - 2 WD 1TB Blacks in Raid 0

Pros: - Hi-resolution - Decent stand with easy tilt and swivel - No dead pixels - Brilliant colors - Not a glossy screen (so the lamp behind me doesn't glare) - Ambient light sensor does a decent job of keeping brightness from getting out of hand - Very nice design...looks great on the desk - No ghosting that I can see...fast response time - Ungodly large amount of desktop space - Movies look great...no black bars on top and bottom any more - Touch controls are sexy
Cons: - Touch controls can also be annoying and not always responsive - Menus aren't terribly intuitive or easy to navigate - Wish it had a quick presets button to cycle through different color/bright modes (i.e. night movie, day text, etc) like some other LG monitors I've used - Has DVI, VGA, and HDMI inputs, but only comes with a VGA cable...lame-o.
Other Thoughts: - It has internal speakers, but I don't use them, so have no comment there.

Cons: The border around the display is much too thick to smoothly dual screen with. Although if you're dual screening 24" displays you've got a whole other set of problems to worry about.
The buttons are touch sensitive, so adjusting settings can be a bit annoying.
Other Thoughts: HD movies on this is great

Pros: The monitor is absolutely beautiful. I had been looking for a monitor for a while; online and retailers. I did not find a monitor a liked as much as this one. It works perfectly with my ps3 and pc. Overall a great monitor
Cons: touch buttons are a lil annoying sometimes

Very Happy
Pros: Very good, BIG screen, HDMI. No dead pixels, no problems. Excellent price for the quality. I went shopping for a large LCD expecting to spend more and I am very happy with this LG.
Cons: A HDMI cable would have been nice.
Other Thoughts: I would recammend this display.

Tea for Two
Pros: No dead pixels, good color, I have two. Base screws on the botton with a swivel wingnut. Reasonably solid.
Cons: Can't think of any. Should of got two 27's. However, these are plenty big from three feet away.
Other Thoughts: Had a Samsung Syncmaster 24' HDTV w/PC in, didn't like it as much as these'

Fantastic Gaming Monitor
Pros: 2ms response time, 1920x1080 resolution, HDMI input. No dead pixels or ghosting. Gaming monitor for sure. Great compliment to my new desktop. Crysis, CoD4, and Unreal Tournament look spectacular and play flawlessly.
Cons: No DVI or HDMI cable, only VGA. Come on, who uses VGA these days?
Other Thoughts: 24" is a big enough pc monitor for me. I could go either way with the touch sensor. Doesn't do anything for me, but hey, it works. Took me a while to realize you touch the actual symbol for power than the tear drop heh.

Would not buy again
Pros: Decent (but not outstanding) colors, sturdy stand. HDMI input with audio output to attach external speakers. Comes with both VGA and DVI cables.
Cons: Touch-sensitive controls are very annoying and hard to use. Menu navigation is clumsy and unintuitive (thanks in no small part to the touch sensitive controls). Monitor randomly has trouble coming out of sleep mode when my PC is turned on or resuming from hibernating, often requiring me to press the source input button a few times until a picture displays, and/or restart my computer via the power button. Installing the "drivers" from the included CD did nothing to correct this problem. Some ghosting present around the text in my web browser when dragging windows around the screen. This is 2009. This sort of thing might be overlooked 10 years ago, but not today.
And last but not least.. the monitor has developed two dead pixels, one of which stands out like a sore thumb against any kind of light background.
Other Thoughts: The inexpensive price of this monitor was it's main selling point for me, as I was itching to replace my aging 19 inch 1440x900 display with a bigger one. Too bad that the quality just isn't there.

Lg makes the best monitors
Pros: 16:9 ratio, 1920x1080 resolution, HDMI input. Went from a 22" to this and it's great!
Cons: Touch menu "buttons". Menu is hard to navigate at first. Takes a little getting used to. One stuck pixel. Not that big a deal.
Other Thoughts: Got this to replace a 22" LG and it's a great step up. Now that I have used it for a couple days, I wish I had got to a 27" but I'll live with it for a while.

Pros: Good size. Fast response time. Looks good. Solid stand. Once you figure out the touch controls, very easy to use & plenty of adjustable settings. At the price I paid for this quality, it couldn't be beat. I compared many brands with equivalent specs. I like the anti glare screen coating as well. No glare whatsoever. I ordered this on a monday & received it on wednesday, 2 days later. Very fast.
Cons: Stand has no height adjustment.

Poor Quality, Poor Service
Pros: Thin, small foot print, great response.
Cons: Dead pixel middle of screen. New Egg won't replace unless there are 8. Called LG and their policy is 3 but a center screen dead pixel is 3. Rep had me return the monitor to them and said they would ship a new one to me. I opted to give my credit card to have one shipped right away. I then shipped mine out right away. What I got was a refurbished W2452T, 6ms response and much larger and terrible stand. I called LG and inquired as to why this had happened. I was told "We ship what we have". I said I would ship this back send me back my monitor. I was told they couldn't do that. I have never been so frustrated with a customer service process. I will never buy LG anything again.
Other Thoughts: I wound up buying an HP w2558hc. The colors are better then the LG and the stand is better.

Great Monitor =)
Pros: Everything works, no dead pixels, bigger. Can play any game w/ 1080p. I'm a gamer and all my games so far have 1080p in them. :D
Cons: none.
Other Thoughts: I came from a 1680X1050 monitor (LG) and this one beats it hands down. So get this monitor.....you wont regret it. Its really sharp and the colors are great.
Running windows 7 RC w/ i7 920 @3.33 and 4870 1gb and have everything maxed out w/ no lag.

So happy
Pros: The picture on this monitor is outstanding. Very bright display and auto-dim feature is nice although I prefer to leave it off. I also appreciate a hardware design that looks as good in standby as it does when powered on. This LG is a pretty sexy looking monitor and the red LED and button-less buttons look great.
Cons: I do notice a bit of light bleeding near the top and bottom of the display when a dark image is being displayed. This was not enough of a gripe to take away an egg however.
Other Thoughts: This is replacing a 20.1 inch 16:10 LG I purchased about 4 years ago that I have been very happy with. I just got back into heavy PC gaming and wanted something bigger. After reading many reviews and comparing specs, this seemed to be the best deal and balance between size, specs, price, and positive reviews. I'm ptreyy happy with the purchase so far...and my wife is happy with the hand-me-down LG replacing her standard 19" LCD.

Very pretty, easy to set up
Pros: I debated between getting this and a 24 inch Samsung, but I have been pleased with my choice. The colors are very vibrant and it is a beautiful piece of hardware. There were no dead pixels on my unit and once I got it calibrated, it ran like a charm.
Cons: Just a few annoyances:
-No DVI cable included -Standard color calibration seemed very bright washed out -I can't ever imagine using the extra features included with the monitor -I believe the Styrofoam packaging left a few faint marks on the LCD itself. I haven't tried cleaning them off, but it is only barely visible when the screen is off.
Other Thoughts: Good monitor for the price. I would buy another LG given the opportunity.

Amazing
Pros: Massive display and Blue Ray looks great on it. No dead pixels. VGA and DVI supported I actually like the touch buttons instead of actual buttons. Feels sturdy, doesn't wiggle much. 1080i! The auto-bright is actually a nice feature for me, my room has a skylight and it adjusts its brightness throughout the day. Looks chic! Black matches any set-up! :D
Cons: Fingerprint magnet. Just BARELY (<3mm) cleared the shelf above my desk Tad pricey. For that price is should have came with a DVI cable!
Other Thoughts: The price is kind of high for a monitior but I am glad I got this. If I had the desk real estate I would gladly get a second. I'm glad I measured before buying this. It would have sucked if I had to stare at it 1.5 feet in front of me.
Even though there is no DVI, it did come with a VGA cable and my card had an adapter for DVI -> VGA. Ordered a DVI off egg and everything was good!

Great Choice
Pros: Large 24" display NO dead pixels at all HDMI/ 1080P It just looks cool, it is very aesthetically pleasing My Games look great (Left 4 Dead, Company of Heroes, COD4, LOTRO, Empire: TW) I recommend this, hands down it out classes everything in its price range.
Cons: Stand is a bit limited in movement (I knew this before I bought it, so I wont deduct for it) No DVI cable? (I knew so I wont deduct) Touch buttons can be a hassle sometimes
Other Thoughts: Antec 900 MSI P7N SLI-FI Mobo Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0Ghz 4x 1gb CORSAIR XMS2 2x EVGA 9800 GTX+ in SLI Zalman 750W Power supply 2x Seagate 250gb HDD

Awesome
Pros: The 1920x1080 res with all game settings maxed out looks amazing. Very crisp picture. 2ms response is way better than my old 8ms monitor. 50,000:1 contrast. Everything about this thing is just awesome. I love it and would recommend it to anyone lookingfor a new monitor.
Cons: Haven't had any problems or concerns at this point.

Life is Good....not this time
Pros: Large, full featured, beautiful colours, gorgeous....BUT.....
Cons: 23 total dead pixels in the lower right corner to about 3/4 of the way up the right side. Ive used LG products quite abit and this is the first time Ive come accross something like this. Newegg of course is replacing but since I NEED this monitor for work it would be nice if they could cross ship. LG tech support offered to replace it with a possibly used/refurbished unit and have it to me before I mail this one back so I have something...but...thats it...that usd/refurbished monitor would be mine...
Other Thoughts: Not knocking newegg at all...not knocking LG's products ....but this particular monitor....23 dead pixels and no signs of shipping damage on the box....wow....
Not enough to dissuade me frompurchasing a LG product in the future but enough to make me stick to buying monitors from brick and morter stores

Awesome Monitor
Pros: Amazing picture quality, Light bleed is very minimal. Gaming on my 360 is amazing. I can even see each individual part in the engine bay on NF$ und3rc0v3r. No Ghosting. As far as PC gaming goes the picture quality is great to but due to the fact that my video card is on the fritz i can not get very good frame rates at 1920x1080. The stand has some tilting ability and it also has a swiveling base. No dead or stuck pixels. Besides the video card issue this is a very nice monitor.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: BOO YAH!!!!!

Solid Monitor
Pros: Big, bright, clear picture. HDMI input. Great price. Its my temporary tv and then it will be retired to my desktop as a monitor.
Cons: I don't like the touch sensors instead of buttons. No height adjustment on the stand. Only comes with a VGA cable. First one that I received had a strange HDMI problem - worked great until you turned it off. Then it wouldn't turn back on! Had to unplug it for a few minutes to get it going again. The replacement has not had any issues.

Cons: one of the red lights above the touch screen buttons was not working. Have issued an RMA, hopefully have it by next week(fingures Crossed)

My Monitor Is Bleeding!
Pros: Almost every aspect of this monitor is superb. See cons though.
Cons: Second one from the egg. I sent the first one back due to light bleeding/leakage from top and bottom of the monitor. Just received the second one and this ones worse than the first. If your like me and cant stand light bleeding then stay away from this monitor.
Other Thoughts: It would be perfect if their wasnt any bleeding/leakage.

Can't beat it
Pros: Fantastic monitor at an excellent price. 24" is amazing for video games and the response times are such that you'll never have an issue w/ ghosting, etc. The screen is especially bright and everything is a breeze to set up. I got it for less than $300. Swivel base is nice.
Cons: Doesn't come w/ a DVI cable, which is ridiculous. The stand is okay...the monitor can shake if you're pounding away at the keys. attracts dust.

wow
Pros: was thinking about getting the hanns g, but then saw this this lg monitor. All I can say is wow. Screen is really big and the colors are amazing. It is worth every penny. No regrets at all.
Cons: All i can say is the stand is cheap, but i cannot really say that is a con b.c just about every monitor stand is cheap. Is very easy to put on though.
Other Thoughts: Get this monitor if you are stuck trying to pick one

Great Buy
Pros: I have had the monitor for about 2 weeks now and I am absolutely loving it. It's very sleek and looks great. I use my computer for school, browsing, movies, and gaming. All of my games look incredible, the blacks are black and the colors really jump at me. I play source games primarily and loaded up bioshock just to try this baby. It's rather expensive, but the specs are nice and it's a 24". This replaced two CRT monitors that I was using, and I miss having the extra space, so my plan is to actually buy another over the summer. It was worth it for me.
Cons: Doesn't come with a DVI cable.
Other Thoughts: I haven't spent too much time inside the menu system, but the touch-sensors are responsive. I have no bleeding.

Pros: Bought it at $280 which i had to push myself to buy compared to those high reviews of the low ~$200 monitors. I must admit the color, brightness, and overall appearance was jaw dropping. I had a dell 19" LCD monitor that was 4 years old, and this one just blows it away, not kidding!
Cons: Didn't come with a DVI cable!
Other Thoughts: No dead pixel

Grrrrreat
Pros: Widescreen. Huge! Not heavy! Vista-64 compatable. Beautiful picture on my games. Love the touch sensitive controls. Simply Gorgeous! Great craftmenship. A 24" LCD screen for $299-$20 promo sale, received it 2 days after ordering it, free shipping, and no tax!
Cons: Doesn't have a "windshield wiper" to automatically clean the screen or wipe any dust!
Other Thoughts: LG never disappoints me!

Great Monitor
Pros: Great Monitor -- the picture is incredibly clear. I was a little concerned before purchasing because a few of the reviews complained about dead pixels, but my monitor came in great condition. Not a single dead pixel, no bleeding, ultra crisp picture. Very nice!
And with the extra $20 promo that NewEgg is having right now for this model and the free shipping, this is a really good purchase for its price.
Cons: Doesn't come with a DVI-D cable....not sure why they didn't just bother to throw one into the box. But you can order one easily for 10-20$, so it's not that big of a deal (but there goes the $20 you saved on the NewEgg promo!)
Other Thoughts: The power/control buttons are not "real" buttons -- you don't actually press them in. They're more of a touch screen/touch senstive sort of spot.
I thought they were an incredibly neat idea when I first saw them, but I could imagine that once the monitor gets old and the buttons aren't as responsive, this could get annoying (e.g., in a normal monitor, when the buttons aren't working right you can just mash them in a little harder....obviously you don't have that option in this case)
But when the buttons are working properly....they add a very impressive touch to the monitor!

Buy it, you will not regret it!
Pros: Breathe taking picture quality. As soon as I connected it, you could notice the difference between my previous LCD (Chimei 22"). I have now sworn to only purchase LG or Samsung LCD TV's/monitors. The contrast/brightness is outstanding.
Cons: The red "on" LED light is dimly lit, but i still wish they had made it smaller. The stand does not adjust in any direction.
Other Thoughts: I am in no way associated with Newegg or LG.

Great Monitor!
Pros: Great picture quality with lots of settings to be tweaked and programmable modes that can be switched at the touch of a button. I am a comic book colorist, so I know colors, this thing is spot on.
Cons: The one I got has 1 stuck pixel, a pink one, it's not in the way, off to the side. I'm using UDPixel attempting to unstick it, hopefully it works. Also I'm not digging the touch controls, but it's not that big of a deal.
Other Thoughts: This same monitor was like 100$ more out the door at a mainstream electronics store, go newegg!

GREAT PICTURE! I LOVE THIS MONITOR
Pros: This screen replaces an older LG 17" which has NEVER given me trouble! I just felt like upgrading to a bigger, HDCP compliant, full 1080P capable screen. I looked and searched for over 6 weeks before I finally decided to buy this and I LOVE IT! It is big and bright! I sometimes plug my PS3 to it and the picture is out of this world! You got to love watching Blu-Rays on it as well, Totally AWESOME!! The three year manufacturer's warranty is also a plus. Hopefully I will not need it!
Cons: * I freaked out because a red stuck pixel appeared but I took care of the problem by ribbing the screen with a soft cloth, scared me for a minute! * Only one HDMI port, but I have a small three-way splitter so it does not matter, really * NO DVI cable included, but I had one laying around (I knew I would need it someday, hah!) * light backlight bleeding on top, bottom and sides but I can live with it for now I guess.
Other Thoughts: Really great screen! I recommend it to everyone!

Pretty nice
Pros: Okay, so having used this monitor for about 2 days, I figure I better write something about it.
1) No dead pixels. 2) A little light bleed, top and bottom only. 3) Very good white levels. 4) Good black levels. 5) Best touch controls I have used on a LCD panel. 6) Lots of features.
I am currently using this next to a Acer H213H, both are pretty good, however I would say the color is truer on the LG. Response time is really good, games are playable, no doubt. Brightness is perfect, and the stand is not that bad. I have owned monitors with bad stands... Just make sure you tighten the screw on the bottom of the stand.
Cons: Small top/bottom back light bleed. It keeps 5 stars because I am generally so satisfied with it, the bleed is only noticeable in a finite number of scenarios.

YEAH!
Pros: Fantastic monitor! Here is a plus, NO DEAD PIXELS! My previous monitor a LG 22" had 4 dead pixels that were scattered across the screen and it was infuriating to me. This monitor is so vibrant and crisp and has no flaws that I can see as of yet. Very happy with the price as well!
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: Thank you Newegg for the perfect addition to my system. Will purchase more in the near future.

Perfection
Pros: Large viewing area Sleek design Touch sensors instead of buttons make it look sexy Great response hdmi input
Cons: can't have 75hz set with the max resolution but that was expected
Other Thoughts: nice big monitor that replaced my 4 year old viewsonic xtreme 19" a nice step up from the old monitor, cant wait to get my new desk for dual screen set up. people complain about the base but i set it on my desk and shook it and it barely moved. settings out of the box were maxed so i set the contrast and brightness at about 40-50 another thing people complain about is backlight bleed. this isnt even noticeable on anything unless you like to stare at an all black screen. plus its a tn panel which is going to have some bleeding. its the nature of the technology. i would suggest learning how to calibrate an lcd prior to putting in negatives and cons this thing is perfection at its best.

Amazing!
Pros: This LCD has alot of features. Many of which I may never use but the options are very nice. I am a gamer so the the refresh rate is very important. So far I have played both WoW and WAR, they both seem to look just amazing.
Cons: None yet
Other Thoughts: I really wish this unit came with a DVI cable. I didn't read the specs enough and they only give you a VGA. But, if that is the only downfall, I dont mind forking over a few bucks for a cable. My buddy just bought the new samsung and this LCD puts that one to shame!

Insane Picture Quality
Pros: Okay, I can't stress this enough. The picture quality is AMAZING. I also have a Samsung 21" and my father has a Samsung 24". IMHO this monitor destroys both of them. Only setting I had to adjust was the brightness.
Cons: This really depends on the desk that you have the monitor sitting on. The desk that I have at home is extremely hefty, so much so that if you bump into it, anything sitting on top of it will experience very minimal movement. The desk I brought to my apartment close to school however is really flimsy. The stand that they designed for this monitor makes it extremely easy for it to move. I read other reviews saying that, but I didn't realize to what extent until after I had the monitor. Even from typing this review my monitor is shaking slightly. IMHO it wasn't enough for me to subtract 1 star because it's really the picture quality that you should be worried about. If your desk is really flimsy then put some type of small box under both sides of the monitor so that it does not shake.
Other Thoughts: In the dark the stock settings on this monitor are extremely bright. Turn the brightness down if you don't want Krillin to use Solar Flare on you.

Grab these while they last. . .
Pros: Light weight, bright screen, good color and touch controls. HDMI makes it easy to hook them up side by side. We got two and replaced an old Dell 24.
Cons: Does not include HDMI cables or converters. I got a couple of Rosewell HDMI - DVI in 10 ft. Worked great.
Other Thoughts: Very nice monitors for the money and matched with an EVGA PCI X16 they worked very well.

Beautiful! hope it lasts forever
Pros: 2ms Response time is awesome. Features - Swiveling base and 4:3 mode rock! Your eyes will thank you for the auto-adjustments. Design is beautiful...
Cons: Shiny black bezel reflects light from the window, Whites appear a bit washed out, but could probably be adjusted with some fine tuning.
Other Thoughts: Standard video looks funny on the widescreen, but the monitor has a 4:3 mode which makes it all better. Great for high-def video. No bleeding around the edges. decent price.

great monitor
Pros: no dead pixels! Didn't have to make any adjustments. Everything works as it should. Has lots of features you may or may not use (check the lg website for a full list). You can turn off the power light when the monitor is on (the light will fade on and off when it turns itself off and this setting cannot be changed) and it has a little manager where you can change some of the settings without using the monitor buttons.
Cons: Monitor makes a buzzing sound when its on, but your computer cooling fan is probably louder than the sound it makes. doesn't come with a dvi cable. make sure your graphics card is up to date, I can't play some of my games on this one until I upgrade.
Other Thoughts: Great monitor. you won't be disappointed if you get it.

LG 24" widescreen
Pros: Great looking monitor. Base swivels. Pretty good settings right out of the box, didn't have to change much at all. Touch controls are clear and easy to use. Has a cool red light that seems the breathe when it's in standby
Cons: Slight light bleed top and bottum, but only about 1/4". Shiny black exterior looks great, but is a dust magnet.
Other Thoughts: Overall I am very pleased with this monitor, my old monitor was a 22" hanns-g (also a very good monitor I purchased here @ newegg) it ran @ 1680x1050, I noticed a significant increase in the video quality in all of my games when I switched to this monitor running @ 1920x1080, true HD really makes a difference. cod4, cod5, crysis, bioshock, far-cry2, everything looks and runs great. (xfx gtx-260 xxx) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this monitor to anyone.

*Needs DVI-D cable*
Pros: Beautiful monitor. Had to do very little with the settings right out of the box. This is not a glass or glossy screen, so I get no glare. Great for gaming. I use Xbox360. Can't say about gaming on the PC, but if it looks like it does with the 360. I have no doubt that I won't be disappointed when I do. Haven't had a problem with pixels as of yet. Still getting others to look.
Cons: No remote. Some of the features on the monitor are not needed, such as the FUN feature where you can change from Sepia, Black and white, ect. and the auto bright. I didn't need it, others might. But, when playing RS Vegas 2(360)HDMI, I had to turn the auto bright off, because the blacks were too dark and it was hard to distinguish between the different levels and shades of black. Go figure, turn it off right? Yep! And the volume issue. I found it aggravating to not have independent volume buttons. Instead the volume is integrated within the settings menu. No DVI-D male to DVI-D male cable!!
Other Thoughts: Overall, I like the monitor. Besides the few quirks, this is a monitor that does not disappoint. If you are using the monitor through HDMI and will be using the audio through the standard headphone jack. I suggest having speakers with a volume knob and turn the sound up on the monitor. Then adjust with the speakers. Oh and do a pixel test to find the dead pixels, if any. Just search for it on the Internet. It may help in finding those dead pixels.

Very Impressed
Pros: I bought this to use until the 30inch I want comes into stock. No lag to speak of, it's well designed, touch sensitive controls, and easy to use.
Cons: none

LG win
Pros: What else could I ask for in a monitor? Decent price too.
Cons: None, yet.
Other Thoughts: It came with a VGA cable. I thought that was kind of lame. Not a big deal, I have plenty of cables lying around. If this monitor ends up being as good as my other LG models, I will be a happy camper.

Has HDMI - see pic
Pros: Contrast ratio is quite high, even though it is not static rating. But that is the norm. Should be great with a PS3 or a 360 at the native 1080p resolution. Native does look the sharpest. You can see it by changing your desktop resolution to something other than it's native resolution. 1920x1080 is still high enough for most PC users. With 4x Anti-Aliasing things should look good.
Cons: New Egg left out HDMI in description, even though it obviously has it.
Other Thoughts: This was just to help potential buyers.
