Cons: ive recently hooked two up to run multiple monitors. one is dvi the other vga. They seem to flicker every once in a while, but it could be the video card.

Pros: Big screen for a decent price ($199 at time of purchase). One button access to 5 preset brightness settings, very useful for when you wanna browse in a dark room and don't want the bright screen burning your eyes.

Cons: Comes with a red pixel that shows up for 10 minutes everytime I turn on the LCD and also a constant light blue pixel in the middle of the screen which never goes away. When using the monitor in a low brightness setting, an annoying buzzing noise can be heard from the back of the LCD. The buzz goes away immediately once I turn the brightness up.

Other Thoughts: I know dead or stuck pixels are common in bigger LCD monitors but the buzzing noise from the back is probably coming from the transformer. As long as it doesn't blow out I'm fine with it.

Pros: To make a long story short, I'm impressed with the picture quality. No dead pixels. I bought 2 of these and use them in a dual monitor setup. I couldn't be happier.
Viewing angle is very wide. never an issue. Works best an native resoulition. Nice and sharp.

Cons: None that I can see.

Other Thoughts: Works nice for videos and games.

Pros: Bright, slim design, huge.

Cons: This is my first LARGE monitor, but the picture quality kinda reminds me of my 52" plasma which isnt as "sharp" as my old 17" LCD which looked like the resolution was always set to high.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I LOVE the upgrade from 17" to 22". Games feel more in-depth, and I can actually watch movies on the computer from my futon... 2 thumbs up

Pros: Size, appearance, weight

Cons: The stand is terrible

Other Thoughts: I'm not a videophile, but this monitor is great for my purposes. I use it to play my 360, and the picture is ultra-sharp. The 360 doesn't support this monitor's native resolution, but there is a setting that's close enough.

As others have said, the stand is flimsy, and it will make the monitor wobble if it's not on a very stable surface.

Oh, and my cat has now knocked the thing over twice with no negative effects on the monitor. Stupid cat.

Pros: Big..Went from a 17crt to this. At first was seemed to big but now I love it. No ghosting or color bleed for me. No dead pixs

Cons: Having to work on the wife's 19in monitor now when she has computer problems

Other Thoughts: For this price I have no complaints. This is my second ACER monitor and I have no complaints. It even came with both cables for hook up. Beats buying one I didn't have.

Pros: HUGE (when coming from a 19" CRT), widescreen, cheap, DVI and VGA, standard power cable.

Cons: None, really...see "Other thoughts."

Other Thoughts: you're paying less than $200 for a 22" widescreen. You shouldn't be surprised to find that it only tilts (hell, that's all we had with CRTs for forever), and you get a little lamp leaking on the top and bottom on pitch black screens. I'm still thoroughly impressed.

Pros: I bought this monitor last year during the Black Friday sale, and its still working. Just one dead pixel since I've had it. It's a pretty good budget monitor. Gaming is excellent too.

Pros: Arrived in perfect condition with no dead pixels or any other problems. The monitor is huge yet there is hardly and surface that is not taken up by the screen which I like. It makes it nice for putting two monitors together.

Cons: Baseplate is tough to remove if needed. Does take slightly longer to turn fully on than other monitors but it is not something that would affect my purchase of this monitor.

Pros: Price, Size, Brightness, Clarity, dvi

Cons: I don't know if mine is a fluke or what, but my viewing angle from the bottom up is terrible. The top down is fine, and the sides are GREAT. But i am a HUGE sloucher, i slink down into my chair and kick my feet up. Now the monitor is quite high, and even with the monitor at full tilt toward me the ENTIRE top of the screen is too dark to view properly. Try playing a dark game, almost impossible.

Other Thoughts: I also have a red stuck pixel right in the middle, really sucks for web browsing on white pages, like newegg, but isnt that noticeable otherwise. If it werent for the viewing angle this is a great monitor. But since i play a TON of dark games its enough of a bother, that i think ill be replacing it.

Pros: This is my second Acer LCD, and so far it's just as solid a product. No problems/artifacts in games, crisp and clear text, vivid colors, powerful and bright display, all on a solid, low-profile stand.

Cons: I try to avoid the "None" and other cheeky answers in the Cons section, but I honestly can't think of one drawback of this monitor.

Other Thoughts: If you're anything like I was -- debating on a 22" or something a bit bigger for standard desktop use -- look no further. I have a bigger display at work that I think is great, but I tend to prefer this one. There is such a thing as too big. (Insert lewd retort here.)

Pros: Cheap, Works fine, no dead pixels. Huge and bright.

Cons: Too Bright, even with drastic adjustment always seems washed out. Black is nowhere near black.
Latency- not for gameing. Yes it ghosts. Tollerable with slower games, nauseating in shooters (but it says 5ms in the spec, so you were warned).
Readable at wide angles but noticeably shifts in color/contrast with small moves from center.

Other Thoughts: Good for price at the time (one_nine-four with free ship -mid sept). Can't even get close to the newegg price at any of the retailers in my area.

Pros: Very bright screen. I keep the brightness at 0 and contrast at 50 except when gaming or watching a movie. When gaming and watching movies I'll then use 'Standard Mode' which is at 77 brightness and 50 contrast. HDTV picture comes in crystal clear.

Cons: One stuck pixel at the very top middle of the screen. It doesn't get in the way of much but it's just very annoying knowing it's there. I've tried popular methods of removing stuck pixels but so far, no luck.

Other Thoughts: I have three older LCD monitors in the house (the oldest being seven years). It was disappointing that this monitor was the first to get a stuck or dead pixel.

Pros: It's about what I expected for the money. Good size and pretty good picture with DVI.

Cons: There's an Acer logo that comes on for about 5 seconds after the screen is powered on. Kind of annoying, but not that big a deal. It makes a good secondary screen but I don't think the colors are all that accurate. It took several hours just to get the colors calibrated close to my primary monitor.

Other Thoughts: I don't think I would use this for a primary screen for any sort of video/gaming related tasks, luckily I'm not doing such things with it.

Pros: Totally worth the price and they look great!! Yes they do have backlight bleeding around the edges but normal users will not care one bit, I don't. The colors are great. They do not run hot at all. The menu is easy to operate. They look great and look even better side by side! I suggest buying two of these over one larger one any day!

Pros: I loved it because nothing to play around, just plug and play type of thing. No complaints about color, brightness and dead pixels - I was worried initially, as some of the reviewers said there are dead pixels; honestly I did not find one.
Comapring with my 24" HP and 19" NEC monitors - this one certainly in the same class !

Cons: Nothing really !

Rating + 5 Great Monitor - Great Value!


Pros: First and foremost, it's size. 22" of desktop real estate is hard to beat for this price. Compared to the HannsG I am now using a secondary monitor, this feels like twice the size. Another feature of this monitor that I particularly like is it's quick display options. You push the "auto" button and use the arrow buttons to select which factory-set display option you want. You have Text, Movie, Graphics, Default, and User, if I remember correctly. The actual OSD is very easy to use and gets you to what you want to get to quickly. Something that other people don't mention is the size of the base. It's on the big side, but to me it makes me confident the monitor won't be going anywhere. Came right out of the box with 0 dead pixels and I wouldn't expect there to be many that come with any.

Cons: Like others have mentioned, the stand is a little shotty. There is some wobble, but when the neck of the stand is connected to the base via a simple clip system, it's not going to be like putting this thing on a wall-mount. However, I am used to this wobble as my previous LCD (a HannsG 19" widescreen) did the same thing. Something else to note is that it takes the monitor a good 5 seconds to wake from standby mode. It gets annoying at times because my secondary monitor will turn on instantly whereas the Acer will take at least 5 seconds to turn on. A minor con, but something to note. Also, like others have mentioned, there is some bleed at the top, but its only there if you look for it.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great monitor at a GREAT price. I got mine while newegg was doing a discount AND free shipping, so I made sure to get it while it still lasted. I cannot be disappointed with this monitor at all. It's exactly what I have been waiting to buy. While this monitor does have a few cons, they certainly aren't a big enough problem to warrant any deduction of any eggs. If you are looking for a nice 22" widescreen on the cheap, this is definitely the monitor to go with. You will not be disappointed, and if you are, chances are that newegg will take care of you.

Pros: Wow! I'm glad I waited and did the research. This is a Big and Fast monitor, quite fast enough for movies and TV. I use it for double-duty work/play + MultiMedia presentation. Big, clear, bright, and includes custom controls + choice of auto-presets for Text, Standard, Graphics, and MOVIES! My software is: PCLinuxOS, VLC, nVidia Dock, TV-Time, DVD::Rip. I ordered it on a Sunday morn and it was at my house Tuesday, shipped free.

Cons: Unfortunately, according to my research, only this particular model number has these incredible specs and customer response; be careful not to confuse it w/ another look-alike. The local shops almost had me fooled until I checked the model #'s. There are plenty of others out there that look exactly like this one on the outside.

Cons: The monitor itself is kind of weak in that they made it with flimsy plastic, but you dont carry your monitor around so as long as it is sitting in a safe place your all set.

Pros: Many members raved on the size, and like them all, you don't know how big it is until you take it out of the box. Bright screen, not a dead pixel in sight. Worked right out of the box and no adapter needed.

Cons: The base is a bit wobbly, but only when I bump into my desk does it shake.

Other Thoughts: People have talked about light bleed. I don't notice it unless I look for it. I have already played a round of COD4 and watched a movie and I don't notice anything. After a few months, I will post a follow-up review. So my initial reactions give this 22" 5 eggs.

Pros: Deep color, great resolution, sleek, nice look. No dead pix, no light bleed on useage, slight on the bottom when the entire screen is black with the POST screen on boot, and that doesn't count. Pros: This moniter has good specs, especially for the price. It delivers on everything it says it will, great colors, wide viewing angle (side to side). The color pre-sets are diverse, and the clean un-marked black frame keeps your eyes on the action, not whats around it.

Great for gaming, no ghosting, split the cost of a truly hich end model and buy two!

Cons: It would seam that a high volume of these have minor pixel problems, denoting that you are paying for what you get. The lower price is paired with not top-of-the line quality. Mine had one "bad" pixel, but I was able to "rub" it back into place, so no problem now.

Other Thoughts: For anyone who hasn't owned a widescreen and wants an upgrade, I would especially recomend this. However, those users with a large or high-quality set should probably spring for something a little higher-up.

Pros: I play games for long period of times, I can tell you that this monitors blows me away. All of my friends that come over to the house give me kudos on this monitor. It looks great and makes a great eye candy treat for working on it for long periods of time.

Cons: No usb ports. but for the price just buy your self a usb hub and call it a day

Pros: This is an excellent monitor, great stats and warranty. Huge ++ w/free shipping from newegg which always rocks.

Cons: There are better monitors for the money. If you are patient, do the research and view some reviews you will find a higher quality monitor (like my Samsung 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor 2232BW 22 inch) with excellent response times and better contrast ratio.

Other Thoughts: Know your stats and what they mean. If you are even unsure what your looking at number wise, find out. Only then will you know when you buy an item you expect to last three or more years that, indeed you made a good purchase.
I heart newegg.

Pros: Awesome monitor. Went from a 17' enormous CRT monitor to this flat 22' for an awesome price. No problems in the two months that I've had it. If I had more money, I'd definitetly buy another for the second computer.

Cons: Almost got into a fight when this new monitor came in. Friend was so jeolous that he tried to steal it. I got into one little fight and my mom got scared, said "you're moving with your uncle and aunti in Bel-Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate read "Fresh" and it had dice in the mirror. . .

Cons: Wish I got a 24".

Other Thoughts: WARNING!!! If you have a three-way SLI setup, the drivers will cause random crashed if you try to pivot the screen. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL VIDEO CARD DRIVERS INSTALLED and up to date, including the Directx 9.0c August 2008 update before installing the software for your monitor.

Pros: Nice size and shape. Base is sturdy. Colors are nice and bright.

Cons: It came with on dead pixel. Its near the top elft of the screen and luckily I dont see it much when browsing or playing games. Really visual when using cubase or photoshop. Cant return it cause I need more dead pixels, so now im pretty much stuck with it.

Other Thoughts: Never buying monitors from online shops again. Id rather have the convenience of going to a store, hooking it up before i buy the thing, and be able to take it right back if something is wrong.

Pros: No dead pixels, cheap compared to monitors of it's quality, and the image is just darn beautiful!

Cons: I no longer find my girlfriend attractive because of this beast

Pros: Very large display, both dvi and vga are supported. Pretty good colors and brightness.

Cons: Right now there are better moniters available for the money, better contrast ratio's and resolutions, and the like. Also it tends to make a rather high pitched sound when you first turn it on, it also is evidently at seemingly random points during use as well.

Other Thoughts: Look around a little more before buying, good ratings yes, but newer ones haven't had time to amass the number of good ratings yet. Keep that in mind when purchasing. Overall still very pleased though.

Pros: Big crisp display, sleek design, No dead pixels, nice automatic adjustment settings. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

Cons: Said before but still should be repeated: they ship it in the retail box and UPS leaves it at your door so anyone walking by who needs a new monitor might get yours! (This is a criticism of newegg but the only one I ever could honestly give, I heart newegg)
Driver software is iffy, when I updated to the latest version I started to get tons of error messages at start up. I downgraded back to 1.0 and it was fine but updates are supposed to be progressive..... Vista actually doesn't recognize the monitors make so the drivers are loosely integrated at best.

Other Thoughts: You just can't beat the price of this monitor and it is definitely high quality. If you have money to throw away buy a different brand but if you want a great monitor for an awe inspiring price, get this.

Pros: Excellent carity, no ghosting, no dead pixels.

Cons: First one had to be RMA'D so it cost me some extra shipping. Not happy about that put what can one do? The second one actually had an updated stand that could be removed easily, unlike the first one which was a real bugger to get off.

Pros: I have two of these, purchased several months apart. I never post a review until I've owned them awhile to be sure I don't change my mind.
The picture quality is excellent; from photograpy to video to text and when you consider price it's amazing. No dead pixels.
I've owned many monitors, and a seemingly minor feature stands out: the power button is right in front, lit so you can turn if off without groping around the side or bottom trying to guess where it is; it's a simple thing but refreshing that somebody got it right.

Cons: I have no complaints about the stand, but at this price point don't expect height adjustments.

Pros: Big screen, decent image quality - except for the defects.

Cons: This is my second bad Acer 22" monitor, first had a red dot right in the middle of the screen. Sent it back which cost me $22 in extra shipping to CA. The replacement also has a bad pixel - on the right of middle - this time blue. Based on this I would not recommend this product.

Other Thoughts: I guess this time I will see if Acer will pick up the tab for return shipping and replacement. I'd hate to be out $44 dollars and still not have a monitor! If anybody else has had this problem please let me know what you did to resolve it.

Cons: I searched high and low for drivers for this LCD but was told by Tech support that they are not needed .
Here is Tech support's reply
"The monitor drivers should be available on Acer’s website, but I don’t believe that you need to install those drivers.
The monitor was designed to be a plug and play monitor and it is being detected as such. Plug and play technology was created so that you don’t have to worry about installing monitor drivers."

Pros: Over all a great monitor. I'm by no means a video nut or anything but I am a pretty hard core gamer. Mine has been so good that we got one for the ball and chain and I talked a friend into one also. We all love ours and you can't beat it for the price. Pros: I just recently bought the monitor, but so far I love it. Newegg had it for $194 w/ free shipping and I couldn't be happier. No dead pixels.

Pros: Great display. Large format is nice, good resolution. Have not noticed any issues with speed. No dead pixels. Love that it does either DVI or VGA.

Cons: Wish it had more adjustability for angles. Also, it takes it a while to respond from its sleep state.

Rating + 5 Fantastic quality product for fantastic price


Pros: Sooo bright..... Soooo beautiful.... Our preciousss! I was blown away at the bright clarity of this monitor's display. Battlefront is awesome--the colors are crisp and clean. The extra real estate of the 22" widscreen is quite a plus when playing strategy games such as Battle for Middle Earth II--I love seeing a wide view of the battlefield.

The base snaps neatly into place. It is secure, but the entire assembly does tend to wobble when placed on the desk. However, I have mine on top of my logitech subwoofer (probably not the best idea), and the height is just right for viewing. I get to look slightly up at the screen instead of looking down, and that bonus keeps neck cramps at bay. On top of the subwoofer, it rarely wobbles at all. I love it.

In addition, widscreen DVDs look fantastic. I bought the monitor with this idea in mind, that I can use my box with this monitor for TV and movies as well. Oh yes, the opening sequence of The Two Towers looks incredible :)

Cons: It doesn't have anti-gravity technology to levitate on my desk?

Other Thoughts: I got this *the day of* the release of Iron Man in theaters, and so, naturally, Iron Man wallpapers looked really cool on this monitor :)

Pros: so like no died pixels man, and i was thinking i would get one to. so the color is great, and bright too.

Cons: i do have much . its not 800 contrast . and u might want to adj the color and brightness setings , i turn the contrast to 10 and brightness to 85 and color is prefect. the colors man so cool. i like to watch the colors in G-force t-r-i-p-p-e-y.

Pros: This is a beautiful monitor. I received it with NO bad pixels. I was a little worried about that since it was my first LCD. Huge screen. Very bright and clean.

Cons: I don't like it auto switching to the input. I work on other systems sometimes so I have a KVM switch and when my computer shuts off the monitor for power save it switches to the other input thinking there is signal there. Then I have to switch back to wake it up. So I had to run the monitor cable separate from the KVM switch.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor. Lots of room on screen. I run 1900x1200 and it looks great!

Pros: Went from an Acer 1917W LCD to this, and I am very impressed! No dead pixels, my games look great, it's larger than I expected! The base clamps easily and snug, it's sufficient for keeping the monitor steady, the tilt is plenty for me. For a budget monitor, you couldn't ask for more or better! There's some more expensive monitors that struggle to prove their price point beyond this model, and that's no joke!

Cons: Absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: The visual quality is great for this price range, works great for movies and gaming, you can fit 2 browser windows side-by-side for multi-task browsing which is great, did I mention games look great? If you want to get into a higher resolution (1680x1050) widescreen for cheap, this is your best bet hands down. If you've spent a bunch on a beefy GPU and PC, you owe it to yourself to get a decent monitor! And for the price, this is the best bang for the buck LCD 22" out there!

Pros: ITS HUGE, this is a great no frills monitor no speakers or usb just how it should be. over all good colors just adjust it to your graphics card no dead pixels {the stand does fully come off, ps3 users go to menu on monitor and go to the 3rd option and resize the screen looks like a t with arrows at all ends}

Cons: Some bleed through on the edges and it doesn't do my taxes

Pros: It works ( :-) ) on mildly exoric hardware (SGI Octane II, V8 gfx), better than last monitor I tried. No dead pixels, viewable from fairly wide angles (> 130 degrees).

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in desparation to replace a ViewSonic VA926 (also from NewEgg :-/) hooked to the same box. The viewsonic only worked intermittently (during boot-up & shutdowns, i.e. simple low-perf VGA gfx modes), not when gfx fully up & running 'hot'. This monitor works AOK, fully recognized performance wise, running @ 1920 X 1200, 60 Hz. There are faster modes available, I am looking into that, but this is quite satisfactory for me.

Pros: I am a system builder with a total of 13 monitors between my home and shop and this by far blows away some of the ones I paid twice as much for; but about even with others. No dead pixels and it just auto configed when I started up the computer; haven't touched a setting on it yet. The brightness and color are great. Price is a positive.

Cons: Stand is a little wobbly compared to others I have but not that bad.

Pros: BIG, very clear, vivid colors, great for games, price is awesome. I've had it for close to a year now and i am so glad i made the choice to get this monitor. I was concerned at first, a monitor this size for so cheap, i figured id get dead or stuck pixles, something like that. I have not had ANY pixle problems. The quality is great.

Cons: There are 2 cons, nothing major. First, the backlight does bleed through a bit, it doesn't bother me in the slightest but i know it does bother some people. I dont really notice it unless the screen is completely black.
The second has to do with the power cord. It doesnt really stay hooked into the monitor well, if i have to move it at all the cable comes undone VERY easily. But it only comes undone while being moved, otherwise not a major problem either.

Other Thoughts: This thing has great value, playing Crysis and COD4 on this monitor is a great expierence. It's not full 1080p but is so close that you wouldn't be able to tell a difference anyway. This could be the best bang for the buck monitor ever, it's completely worth the purchase.

Pros: Great value and a nice bright display

Cons: No Vertical adjustment other than pivoting, light bleed on a black screen can be on the high side... otherwise what is not to like

Other Thoughts: I gave the product a 5.. this is based on price and the performance of the 1 monitor that worked on arrival of the two that I ordered... I'm rating a working device not faulting them for the defective unit which is being RMA'd as this is typed. I see too many reviews where people don't rate a working product. If it's defective send it back and get another one and if that works fine rate it so. Give the manufacturer a fair crack of the whip. I understand everyone wants a working, perfect product but that is not always going to happen. I'm not having a nightmare or a cow about it as other foot stamping 5 yo do on here.

Pros: display is pretty sharp, good colors. easy to setup once driver issues (nvidia) are resolved. much better than I expected. just needed a plain vanilla and cheap 22-inch display, and this one more than fills the bill

Cons: bought 2 of these, both driven by nvidia graphics. the supplied acer display management software wouldn't work until I got an updated driver from nvidia, then just worked very well.

Other Thoughts: when you install a new nvidia driver, always remember to deinstall the old one first.

Rating + 5 How to Connect to PS3?


Pros: Nice screen, great price, fast shipping. Has HDCP support and comes with both VGA and DVI cables. 22" inches for 2x100, cmon! cant beat that!

Cons: None so far, I wish it could have an HDMI, but they would be sold out everywhere already haha

Other Thoughts: How do I make this work on the PS3? I have some serious off-screen issues. I select 720p or even 1080p and I cant see half the information board. It displays all the screen from left to half the info board and I cant see the time, messages notifications, etc. Really annoying that I cant play my PS3 like it should.
Can somebody help me?

Pros: It works, no dead pixels, and it shows my anime from my computer. What more could i want?

Cons: The only bad thing about it is, if you're like me, and got this monitor to watch movies and such on, there's a setting you need to fiddle with on the monitor that reduces the backlighting, so that you can get rid of the yellowish tint it gives everything. I think it was switching it from "warm" colors to "cool".

Other Thoughts: Awesome buy, and newegg is the greatest once again!

Pros: Huge! You can not beat the price so I had to buy two. Shipped in about 3 days. FREE SHIPPING! VGA and Power cords are relatively long and should reach tower in a variety of setups.

Cons: Have one pixel on the second monitor that is stuck red. However, fixed it by pressing on the pixel with thumb (googled that solution). The dead pixel return policy sucks! 8 dead pixel before they will take it for a return. However, you will find this for all LCD monitors.

Other Thoughts: Itunes Visualizer running on dual screens is stunning........

Pros: 22" WS for $197.99 w/ free shipping (got it on sale). Works perfectly so far, just as it should.

Cons: The stand is a little junky, but it does it's job so I guess it's not too much of a con. Included software is horrible, but it's not really necessary anyway.

Other Thoughts: A USB port or two would have been nice, but for under $200, who really cares? For those on a budget, this monitor is the way to go, even for the $229.99. For those of you with money to burn, look for something with more features. Overall this monitor exceeded my expectations.

Rating + 5 Great Monitor


Pros: I was looking for a monitor to replace the 17" old Planar LCD that I had for some time. I checked out all of the reviws on this one and decided to gamble on this one. One of the best bets I've ever made! This monitor is very nice and wide, and leaves a small footprint on my desk. The view is crisp and clear and of course no dead pixels either! I can see text and video much clearer than I used to with my old monitor. And I got to hook it up to my DVI port instead of the VGA - a whole lot more difference in color and clarity! WOW! And the price was right too. To get a monitor of this size and quality is a steal.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Newegg always comes thru! I ordered this monitor on Monday and arrived on Tuesday (and I only paid for 3 day shipping.) UPS delivered it later in the evening just as I was coming home form work - what timing! I expected to get it either Today (9/17) or Thursday, but since I live in Jersey, they shipped it right out!

Rating + 5 Is it possible to be over satisfied?


Pros: 1680x1050 resolution.
handled by newegg to perfection.
no dead pixels.
easy to understand buttons on the monitor.
i prefer to have my monitor as close to my keyboard as possible, and the stand fits perfectly between my saitek keyboard legs.
THIS THING IS HUGE.
Slim depth.
Auto colors/brightness settings.
Decent tutorial that sets brightness and colors fairly well.

Cons: I have to tone the brightness down quite a bit when working in the dark, because it really will give you a monitor tan.
the stand doesnt seem to have much lateral support for how wide the screen is, so when i type it tends to shake just a bit.

Other Thoughts: I replaced a 17" dell lcd with this one, and now have so much screen area I often find myself reducing the size of windows d:D
I dont know why a lot of people find the buttons for adjustments confusing, as these are probably the easiest to locate and use.
To give an idea of size, this monitor spans just over the width of a Saitek PZ30AUR keyboard.

Rating + 3 Good for the money but you get what you pay for


Pros: For the price this is an excellent screen, its large and certainly makes a statement on your desk. TN panels arent my favorite but for gaming they have great response times with zero input lag

Cons: simply put, this is a cheap monitor, prior to this I have only used S-IPS monitors and the difference is staggering. colors were acceptable but inconsistent and mine had a lot of backlight bleed. Though there were no dead pixels the viewing angle distortion was bad enough for me to sell it.
the stand on this is horrible, it offers maybe 15 degrees up and down and no side to side.

Other Thoughts: Cheap stand needs to be replaced with an ergotron ASAP, its a good screen for gaming but if I were to do it again I would spend the extra money and get a dell 24" as the quality of all the 22"'s is pretty bad

Pros: I just put this together on my system, and while my resolution on my computer doesn't go above 1280 x 1024 (gotta use the on-board for my machine), this is a HUGE improvement over my older monitor. I have a MAG Innovision, I bought it when flat screen / flat panel was becoming the "in" thing and it ran about $500 total. I'm liking everything so far.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: This is a good monitor. I recommend it for those who are upgrading from anything smaller than 22". It's reasonably priced for a 22" and I'm happy to finally be sitting BACK from my monitor and seeing what I'm typing right now.

Pros: I LOVE THIS Monitor---
I can finally work better on my PC! Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Acrobat, My Access Programs, the Web, Photos, Videos, ALL!!!

It saved sooo much space compared to the previous 17" CRT, so I now have room on my desk, and more real estate on-screen!

It took me over 10 minutes re-organizing my windows desktop, since there was soo much room!

Was a great investment, especially even more when I deploy Windows Vista, with a new Graphics Card with DVI--even then, IDK how it can get any better as it is now with Windows XP Pro!

It is Great! The Monitor, color, sharpness, as well as the shipping!

As an IT Admin for my home-business, a graphic designer, and a student, this was a great investment, ESPECIALLY for the price!

Cons: No Cons at all!

Other Thoughts: Acer is the bomb!!

Pros: I switched from a 21" CRT to this - hey, there's a desk under there!. This being my first venture into widescreen territory, I'm pretty astounded. Bright, crisp picture. No ghosting in FPS games.

Cons: One stuck pixel in the lower left, a few inches away from either border. At least it's not a dead pixel, and am hoping it will fix itself (currently running flashing patterns over the spot while I'm at work).

Other Thoughts: Excellent value, seeing as the 21" CRT I was using cost $100 used a few years ago. It's nice to have an actual desk again.

Pros: Coming from an emachines 17 inch CRT monitor that can only do 1280 x1024 this thing is insane The picture quality and the size is just jaw dropping... i have it hooked up to a 7950gt 512 mb and im extremely impressed... i haven't gamed on it yet

Cons: one dead pixel ONE!! right on the left side of the monitor it made me so mad... lol its in one of my most frequent looking spots...

Other Thoughts: shut your computer down before you hook this sucker up...the computer has to refresh so to speak so ur resolutions won't be all screwey... it thought when i hooked it up it was still the dell 15 inch i had hooked up to it for the last day or 2 i set it 160 x 1050 and i had scroll the screen down to shut it down

Pros: Good Value for the size. This thing is huge, much bigger than my 19" at home. We have two of these at work and they've been pretty good so far (but see "Cons" below). Bright, clear, even color, etc.

Cons: We purchased two of these and one had a stuck pixel right out of the box (replaced by Newegg). The other has developed a stuck pixel after a couple of months of use. Only one though (so far), and not too annoying, so we're just dealing with it.

Other Thoughts: Newegg made the return and replacement pretty easy. Replacement arrived quickly and works perfectly. No pixel problems so far with that one.

I almost dropped this from down to 3 eggs because of the second stuck pixel issue. But the other monitor is perfect so far... so I went with a 4 based on that.

Other Thoughts: I am very frustrated with this monitor. It has one pixel stuck on red right out of the box and I cant get it to go away. I tried all the remedies possible and it is still there. Of course, New Egg requires there to be 8 pixels dead for an exchange. I guess you get what you pay for....
