Nice Monitor
Pros: Excellent picture, No dead pixels,User friendly software for adjusting colors etc. It is a beautiful screen at a very affordable price.
Cons: No vertical height adjustment, It is a glossy screen so care to avoid reflection from windows etc needs to be used.
Other Thoughts: Iwould have preferred a black frame but so little of it shows that I can live with it just fine

Cons: Is bright, but tolerable.

white for the win
Pros: big, white, sturdy stand, lightweight, looks amazing after some adjustments.
Cons: 60hzrefresh but that is normal for 22s so what ever , it takes some time for you to get the screen looking good(lowering brightness).
Other Thoughts: how i have it set
cool tone graphics preset screen contrast 60 screen brightness 90
n*** control panel brightness 45% all the rest 50%
very nice screen, cus its white

Pros: Ran Pixel Tester 4.0 on my Mac mini and got 100% results, no DOA pixels. I just plugged the DVI cable (included for a change) into the monitor and Mac and it set up immediately with no intervention and no problems. There aren't many non-Apple LCD monitors out there in the Mac color scheme and none at this price point.
I have no complaints about the image quality and the pre-set picture quality settings are a nice feature for a casual user to make adjustments without umpteen cascading menu screens to navigate. Can be as bright and crisp as you want it for bright room lighting, or tone it down for night viewing simply by pushing the "e" button.
Cons: Many won't care for the screen shield, but this one is nicely anti-reflective.The tripod base is a little tippy and I am concerned about the sturdiness of the weight-bearing plastic sleeve.
Other Thoughts: We'll see how well this one holds up, but it is nice to know it has a 3-year manufacture's warranty.

BUY THIS NOW!!!!!!
Pros: this monitor is freaking awesome, i don't regret a bit, its the best monitor for the price imo
Cons: when i first bought it my cat tried to jump on top of it because every now and then she would lay on the top of my 20'' CRT
Other Thoughts: i had 1 dead pixel but i pushed on the screen and it fixed it.

thumbs up
Pros: Big, bright, glossy. No stuck pixels, no problems whatsoever. Glossy screen looks great for movies. I don't recall what the contrast ratio and brightness stats are on this monitor, but it looks gorgeous, so who cares. Don't get caught up with the numbers.
Cons: Some backlight bleed is noticable at the top and bottom when the screen is dark. Bezel is rather unrefined... sharp lines, not particularly attractive. Stand is basic but sufficient
Other Thoughts: Great purchase.

Pros: Bought this for the wife to match her white Razer keyboard and mouse. No dead pixels, good looking monitor, good color. Didn't test it in gaming, but it's for the wife =P
Cons: None that I could find.
Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the price.

big white spot on the top LT corner
Pros: very nice packaging, came with adapters and nice cords. brilliant colors with many features to fine tune to your liking.
Cons: this big white spot on the top LT corner, I only notice it when there is no pictures and the screen is a solid blue background. weard. Once the desk top background picture kicks in it dissapears or it gets covered over. strange but my 50" tv screen has the same thing.
Other Thoughts: best monitor I ever had by far. Crisp colors, features, accesoreis. very nice. The price was 50 bucks lower when I bought it, should have bought another one then.

Great looking
Pros: I have this same screen in black from costco to fifty dollars cheaper, and it is a great screen. Very great coloration and the 170 degree view angle is awesome.
Cons: When i got it, there was one stuck green pixel. I followed a few steps that i found online about fixing it and within a few minutes it was gone and has not come back.
Other Thoughts: I love this screen, way better than my 17 inch

Awesome!
Pros: Excellent picture! Right price! Really bright. Comes with two types of output, Dvi and vga. I actually like the white bezels. Bezels are somewhat thin, which is a plus. Do not have a single dead pixel.
Cons: Not really a huge con but like other reviewers have mentioned before me, the stand is somewhat "flimsy". The monitor wobbles a little when I bump my desk.
Other Thoughts: When I first plugged this monitor in with the dvi it worked like a charm. Unfortunately after a restart, the monitor showed it was not receiving a signal. After switching back and forth between cables, I eventually determined that for some reason it was my VGA driver. I simply reinstalled the graphic card driver and now it works perfectly! If anyone else has a similiar problem, a driver reinstall my be the solution.

B E A U tiful
Pros: Excellent color/picture movies are amazing and i cant imagine going back to my 19" monitor after this. no dead/stuck pixels that i can see.
Cons: no speakers. not a big problem and you really shouldn't buy a monitor for sound anyway
Other Thoughts: i was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews (plus having a GIANT dent/tear in the package when it got here) but this truely is the best 22" monitor I can find

Excellent Monitor ...
Pros: Excellent graphics, fair price, and as always Newegg is great - fast delivery, well packed, no damage. Monitor comes with a DIN and Digital cables with plenty of length. Adjustments are easy to work with many choices of options. Very good picture on all applications. Better graphics than the LCD TV I was using a monitor. I would recommend.
Cons: None.

Outstanding monitor
Pros: Fantastic picture, amazing performance:price ratio, slick styling, and deep blacks
NO DEAD PIXELS!
Cons: Picture controls are a bit clunky, but fortunately this screen looks pretty darn good right out of the box.
Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these for my parents' new Dell computer. Rather than letting them get ripped off by Dell (for what they need), I decided to get a pair of monitors for much less. They are a lot easier to please than me, and I was very impressed. The setup is a Vista machine with an ATI 3870 HD GPU. With very little tweaking, I got a gorgeous picture that would be hard to beat for $250.
The only real negatives are clunky controls/buttons. The buttons feel a little cheap, and there is much less picture control than with other monitors and certainly TVs. Then again, the cost is many times lower than a comparable TV and tough for a cheaper monitor to best. That's really the only complaint I have about this product. I would give it a 9/10 but gave it 5 stars here.

Updating my previous review
Pros: Its a really nice great functioning monitor.
Cons: This started out with 1 dead pixle out of the box. We are now up to 4 dead pixles. I am getting afailure rate of about 1 a week. Which leads me to believe that after a couple more weeks I will be able to RMA this thing and get a new one.
Other Thoughts: Its a shame that I am looking forward to more pixles dying so I cna finally get the rma. Because at this point, my monitor has a cancer. Its slowly dying out on me. First three pixles were on the right hand side, but the new one is on the left.

Pros: This monitor is great!! The color is very nice and the brightness of the screen is excellent as well. Image does not come out looking like it has a white film over it like some other monitors. Glossy white with some nice structure, i love it.
Best bang for the buck!
Cons: I have found 1 dead cell =(

A few hiccups. but still great
Pros: I've had a 17'CRT monitor I was using for 9 years before getting this lcd monitor. The picture quality is incredible. I'm seeing things I didn't know existed because my CRT is a bit blurry and dark. The colors from this LCD is very lush and bright.
Cons: 2 dead pixels. And using the LCD's control center is very difficult for me.

Excellent product and delivery
Pros: The monitor arrived two days after my order. The packaging was in good shape and the monitor was easy to set up and use. No bad pixels so far and it is bright and clear. It is best at its highest resolution. The adjustments are easy to make.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: This was a good value and I am very happy with the speed of delivery. I am a newby to NewEgg and will be looking to use them in the future.

Pros: Great monitor for the price, haven't noticed any dead pixels yet, no ghosting in fast-moving games.
Cons: Only one minor complaint, it has two inputs (dvi/vga), but it takes a few steps through the OSD menu to switch between them. That wouldn't discourage me from buying another though.

Awesome Deal
Pros: Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. No dead pixels. Produces dark blacks and brilliant whites. Great viewing angle, you can practically stand above it with little distortion. This is a great monitor, that's about all there is to it.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Other Thoughts: Once again, Newegg delivers a great product at an excellent price.

Gorgeous monitor!
Pros: Bright, sharp colors, great clarity. I bought this to go in my scrapbook room, so it would match my all white furnishings. I have since rethought my purchase of a computer armoire for closed storage, and just ordered a nice big desk where this beauty will take center stage. My husband keeps trying to read my email from the next room, now. So yeah, I ordered this not for the technical aspect of it, but for the looks. Either way, I don't think you would be disappointed with this purchase.
Cons: None

Awesome monitor!
Pros: No dead pixels. Pretty high contrast rate, in comparison to other Acer monitors. The resolution looks great, and I really like the white glossy color - something that I'm not used to seeing (usually black/grey). I like the fact that they supplied me with any cable it could ever need, also in white, to match the monitor. The price-to-value ratio here is just amazing. You can't touch a monitor this good usually for under $250 at least. Acer has some solid deals on great monitors!
Cons: Many others have said this, and it's not that big a deal, but it comes in the Acer box - so when it sits on your porch, anyone can see that you have a $200 monitor just sitting there. As I said, it wasn't a big deal because I was home, but keep that in mind when you order.

Nice monitor
Pros: Bright, large, and different (the fact that it's white while most monitors aren't).
Cons: The glossy screen will reflect any light behind you, although that's no problem with the monitor. They all do if they're glossy.
Other Thoughts: Good use of my money. I have no regrets over this monitor thus far.

wow
Pros: BIG, widescreen, good 2500:1 ratio, cheap
Cons: the difficulty of this monitor to clean is what one stars this. Standard monitor wipes will not do anything but streak this thing like none other. A microfiber cloth and purified water does absolutely nothing more. Now I have a huge SPLOTCH where i have tried to clean two minor fingerprints where i touched cause i blindly tried to turn the monitor off. Doesnt even come with instructions on how to clean it.
Other Thoughts: Ive read many forums saying that glossy monitors tend to streak easily. So... Dont buy this monitor if you will need to clean it- AT ALL! No idea how i am supposed to clean this thing.

Pretty much amazing
Pros: Although I thought the white frame on the monitor would look funny (I have seen very few white monitors) it actually looks pretty sweet. It's very bright and is so, so much better than the laptop display I have. The OSD is simple but effective -- has several presets for dimming the display quickly.
Cons: It has a stuck pixel, unfortunately. I wish I could get the display to sit a bit higher on my desk, but not a big deal. If using user configuration instead of presets, it takes a bit of button-pressing in order to get to brightness and contrast settings.
Other Thoughts: I'm quite happy with this display so far, but the stuck pixel has me a little down.

Great for Apple
Pros: Easy setup, good screen quality. I purchased this to accompany my Mac Mini and the white and silver colors match pretty well with the white/silver on the mini
Cons: Non adjustable height

A cheap monitor, and it shows.
Pros: Acceptable panel, bright and clear with no blatant dead pixels. Might be 1 or 2 around the edges, but I didn't spot them yet. Newegg delivered this the 2nd day even with "3 day saver" shipping.
Cons: Stand is extremely flimsy, any vibration whatsoever on your desk from typing, a fan, speakers, etc. will get the monitor rocking to and fro. Control buttons feel very cheap and flimsy. Including cabling is extremely light and cheap looking.
Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

Another glowing review
Pros: I can't say enough good about this monitor! My old 18" monitor bit the dust in a thunderstorm Saturday night, I discovered that it was dead Sunday morning when the power came back on, ordered the Acer at noon on Sunday, and it arrived on Tuesday morning. The glossy screen really does it for me - I didn't realize how lousy the old monitor was until I turned this one on. No dead or stuck pixels, Vista recognized it right away, and I was in business in less than 2 minutes.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Got it on a weekend special for $50 off, and I feel like I stole it!

Pros: No Dead Pixels, Great Quality, Looks Awesome, No Setup Trouble
Also, this thing has a really cool angular, industrial type style to it so it actually fits in really well with my black computer equipment even though it is white.
Cons: None so far

Pros: Excellent monitor- exactly what I was looking for, no dead pixels, excellent quality, great price. I'll probably end up getting another one to replace my existing second monitor
Cons: The white finish makes dust more visible, but it's not a big deal

Pros: No Dead Pixels, 22 inches, widescreen, glossy finish, very thin
Cons: no component inputs

More dead pixles
Pros: Good monitor
Cons: I had a previous review where I had a dead pixel. It now has 2 little brothers
Other Thoughts: Once dead pixel, has turned into 3. I am afraid to touch the monitor as to further upset it. Does anyone have a old CRT I can sacrafice as to calm it down?

Wow!
Pros: Everything. This was a solid buy. I upgraded from a Gateway FPD1800 (8 year old LCD) to this bad boy, and let me tell you, my gaming has improved HUGE!
This monitor is BIG BIG BIG.
2500:1 Contrast Ratio = <3
Cons: lol?

Think twice before you opt for a glossy finish!
Pros: Overall I like the monitor. It has nice features. The display is clear, sharp and good contrast on 1680x1050 resolution.
Cons: The one knock that I have on this monitor is the glossy screen finish. It acts like a mirror when displaying darker colors.

Great Monitor
Pros: Monitor is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I wanted a good monitor for playing COD4 at an affordable cost, and i found it. This is a solid 22" display. There were absolutely stuck or dead pixels to be found, but that doesn't mean you will be so lucky.
Cons: I ordered the monitor on June 16th but didn't get the monitor till the first because the monitor didn't make it past the billing stage the first shipment and i had to contact them to send me another. Also to be noted, i couldn't find any XP drivers for this monitor, only Vista, but it works straight out of box.
Other Thoughts: 24" or the new Samsung touch of colors would be better if you can afford them.

AWESOME!!!
Pros: 2500:1 Contrast Ratio!!! Compared side-by-side with other LCD monitors that display between 700:1 and 1000:1 Contrast Ratios – Well there is no comparison. Compared side-by-side with a Samsung monitor rendering the same Contrast Ratio, I see no difference except the Samsung was $130.00 more!
Viewing movies that have dark scenes, you can see all the details.
VGA and DVI – You can choose or be prepared for a future upgrade to a DVI graphic card. This monitor comes with BOTH Cables.
Cons: OSM – I'd like to have a little more control of the On Screen Menu settings. However, this monitor would be a good choice for multi-user terminals in a business environment.
I have actually recommended it to one of my clients – they have an issue where different users fiddle around with On Screen Menu settings.
Other Thoughts: After over 120 transactions via several user accounts (self, friends, family and clients), NewEgg's recently changed ordering system interface with PayPal had a problem with verification. Two of these PayPal accounts are in a small town where mail is Not Delivered door-to-door.

This has been fine for all Past Transactions, but not this one. We had to go into the PayPal account and temporarily change the verified address, then later go in and change it back to the verified address.
UPS, FedEx and other common carriers understand this, merely ignore the PO Box and deliver to the listed Physical Address. Acer Ceases to Disappoint
Pros: Incredible clarity, vivid colors, extremely wide, sturdy base, sleek design, plug-and-play, good built-in color controls operated by the buttons on the underside. Hard to beat for this price; the Acer brand is a sure-thing, every time.
Cons: Standard monitors will appear to be strangely square and constricted after using this device.
Other Thoughts: This monitor is a replacement for the 19" Acer LCD i bought a couple years ago, which i was very pleased with. I wanted an upgrade, and bumping up to a 22" widescreen was the way to go. I had never heard of the 1680 x 1050 resolution before, but i was pleased to discover that it's supported by most modern games (older games will still work too, but at lower resolutions and/or the screen will appear stretched). The quality of this monitor can be inferred from its incredible depiction of a single color: black. Black is hardly a color described as "lush", but it is indicative of the monitor's vivid color scheme. The 2500:1 contrast ratio is gorgeous and clarity is unmatched. Small text is no longer an issue and the ability to adjust the brightness scheme for different use-scenarios (like text, graphics, movies) gives the monitor quick range for a variety of tasks. This monitor is now my golden standard for rating all others.

Luvit
Pros: Terrific price, excellent picture quality, sleek design.
Cons: 4 eggs instead of 5 due to a single dead (red) right in my field of view.
Other Thoughts: I know you can't fault the Mfr. for a single dead pixel, but I also don't believe in handing out a perfect score to every vendor. In any case, ACER did an exceptional job here. NewEgg rocks hard!

Great monitor
Pros: This monitor is huge. Plenty of area to work with and it is very sharp. $199 is a steal for a 22" monitor that is this nice
Cons: As with most LCDs the viewing angles are exaggerated, also the glossy screen has some glare when looking at dark images.
Other Thoughts: UPS delivered right on schedule with no dead pixels I need to upgrade my graphics card because there is so much more then on a 17" CRT

Overall Good monitor
Pros: Nice bright screen! Huge work area. Small footprint and low power cost make this a keeper. HDCP makes great for PS3 useage, but no onboard speakers make sound a different issue.
Cons: I have a dead pixel, about 1/3 of the way down and 1/3 of the way in the on the right hand side. Doesn't make it unusable, but it is noticeable. Very, very noticeable. Browsing, playing, working, it's there, and it's not going away.
Other Thoughts: I upgraded to this so I would have something other than my TV to play my PS3 on. It does do the trick. However I had been using a Viewsonic 19" and there are a few differences I need to comment on. There is no dedicated "source" button. So I have to navigate 7 steps through the monitor to change from PS3/Xbox 360 to VGA for my PC. Also while both consoles looks FANTASTIC on this monitor, neither of them support the native resolution, not even the 360 through VGA. I had an older 17" flatscreen from acer, no dead pixels. So the inclusion of the dead pixel on this is surprising to say the least.

Excellent bargin
Pros: Excellent display quality, has both VGA and DVI input. Low price
Cons: No height adjustment. I was concerned about this when I bought the monitor but knew that I could buy a replacement stand. Turns out that the tilt feature works fine and that I won't need height adjustment.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for a new system that I was putting together and newegg had a weekend special that I couldn't refuse. I am extremely impressed with the picture and brightness and would buy another one of these. Note that it has a "glossy" surface that some folks do not like. I think that it's fine and gives a better color representation and don't have any glare problems.

Dual Monitor Setup
Pros: Vibrant Colors, Much clearer text than my Sceptre. Refreshing white case Dual Mon setup.
Cons: Minimal slight case variance between my two acer P223wd. Newer one sits slightly higher than the first one.
Other Thoughts: Second one I ordered (a month after the first one) had way to much of a blue/purple tint. RMA was no problems with Newegg. After initial 'burn in period', color sync between two acers 99.9%

Wewt Sauce
Pros: First of all, this thing is larger than your mother in law. Imagine your mother in law sitting where your monitor used to be and that is the size of this monitor. Huge!! The buttons on the bottom rock. The menu is simple to deal with. The types of modes available are User, Text, Standard, Graphics (my fave), and Movie. I have windows Xp, plug in play for the win. Best upgrade to my computer so far. I got an Acer laptop, so I figured this would also be a good buy, which is certainly was. 60Hz Refresh rate, meh, my CRT was only 85hz, but I could care, it still does wonders for my screen. No dead pixels, for the win. I can't believe some people get them with lcds.
Cons: The box it came in looked like an elephant drove a car over it, but the construction was strong on the inside with the double styrofoam protection, and it functions to the T.
Other Thoughts: If you don't care about shipping costs, ship something like this FedEx, not the UPS driver who does wide turns over peoples lawns.

Excellent monitor
Pros: Sturdy stand, nice white finish, removable stand makes for easy traveling.
Cons: I didn't think I would need a source button that much but since i plugged my Xbox into it a source button has become a necessity.
Other Thoughts: No source button is not that big of a problem, after a day navigating the menus is easy.

I'll have another!
Pros: It's BIG. I upgraded from a 17" and I had no idea as to what I was missing out on! It has presets for different applications, games, movies etc, and the tilt is convenient. It comes with both DVI and RGB cables which is handy. Screen looks great and I got mine with zero dead pixels. Also standard super fast Newegg shipping, as usual!!
Cons: There is some slight bleeding at the top and bottom when viewing solid black, or watching movies with the letterbox, but I got used to it pretty fast. It's not noticeable while gaming, which is what i moslty do.
Other Thoughts: I absolutly love this thing, and I will be ordering another one as soon as my budget will allow. I was in a hurry while ordering and didn't realize the front of the monitor is white so it does't match the old 17" I'm using as a 2nd display, but hey, IT"S HUGE!!!

Happy with my purchase
Pros: Great value for the size of the monitor. It is very clear and bright. I have no complaints about buying this monitor.
Cons: I think I have one dead pixel and it took me a long time to find it (hiding in one of the corners). So it was by no means a deal breaker.
Other Thoughts: For regular computer usage and some gaming this is a great monitor for the price.

Acer P223WwD Review
Pros: Amazing picture quality, very bright, no dead pixels. Stand is a bit flimsy like others stated but easily overlooked. No ghosting, no annoying clicks or buzzing when switching resolution. Ultra glossy is pretty impressive as others stated. Extremely good value for those who want to stay in 1680 x 1050 res.
Cons: no 1900 x 1600 res - somewhat unusual native res, most games support it however. Blue power light is kind of big about the size of a pen cap.
Other Thoughts: Rig: Q6600 on Striker Extreme mobo, 2 GB OCZ Reaper DDR2 800, x2 Seagate barracuda 250gb SATA HDs, EVGA 8800 GT KO, Razer AC-1 sound card.

nice monitor
Pros: Nice monitor! Really bright and crisp. The glossy screen makes it look cool. Really good for gaming if you are a gamer. The screen is massive, no need for any bigger. Look no further; this is an awesome monitor for the price. Everything works perfectly.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: Get this monitor.

Great Monitor
Pros: No dead pixels. Flawless picture. Both DVI ports and S-Video tested and working. Sits next to other brand name monitor and makes me wish I had 2 of these. White monitor makes it easier to focus for me. The branding on the front is small and does not catch your eye. No cheap speakers to add extra weight. Playing Grid and Assassins Creed with no ghosting, great response time. Power cord is matching white, good quality and a good length.
Cons: Monitor stand could be better. Limited downward tilt. Sideways and upwards have good tilt ranges. No vertical adjustments possible. Compared to other monitor stands this one is still above average. Power on light is a little too bright. No DVI cable included. Shows dust and dirt more than black monitor.
Other Thoughts: Antec 900 Corsair 750w Evga 750i e8400 gaming at 3.6 @1.25v 33c idle 45c load zalman 9500 with artic silver 5 ozc 1x2 gaming at 2.1v 1066 5-5-5-15 Evga 9600GT (n860)

AMAZING SCREEN
Pros: This screen is a great screen all together..refresh rates are high..no ghosting..the resolution shines when you hook it up to dvi..or hdmi to dvi..or hook it up to your xbox 360..i currently have it hooked up to my 360..and the picture is stunning..i went from a 20 inch scepter..and thought that there wouldnt be anything better but this screen is an improvement.. glossy screen makes the immage look more clear and HD..
Cons: i lost much sleep waiting for this screen to get here..hoping that it didnt have any dead pixels..and it did..only 1..but they arent noticeable...so its ok..but..i still dont like something when it isnt completely perfect...but it doesnt affect my rating..
Other Thoughts: buy this screen..ive done hours and hours of research to find a great screen for the price..and this is the right one..

Pros: Monitor looks great, no problems with it. Except it would be better if the resolution was higher. Other than that, it's almost flawless. Both HDMI and VGA cables included is a huge plus.
Cons: Really have to dig to find a problem with this thing. The only problem I have is the stand tends to wobble. The monitor doesn't appear to want to tip over, but if you bump the desk there will be some wobbling on the monitor.
Other Thoughts: Ordered it memorial day weekend, got it Tuesday with free Newegg 3 day shipping. Newegg FTW.

Awesome monitor
Pros: I'm blown away by this monitor. I have 2 Hans-G 19" monitors on the sides of this monitor and it completely blows them out of the water. I have used the different settings on it for gaming and movies. These settings really enhance the experience with this monitor. The picture is so clean and crisp. I really love this monitor. It was definitely worth it.
Cons: It is shorter than what I'm used to. I had to get a stand for it in order to be at the same level as my 19" monitors.

Nice
Pros: Bright! No dead pixels. The same if not smaller footprint than my 20inch LCD. This monitor runs cool compared to some other LCDs.
Cons: hmmm. none yet
Other Thoughts: Newegg got it to me in ONE day! It helps that the warehouse is across the river :)
I was on the fence with this monitor... but now I can see a long happy relationship to come :) Buy it!

Awesome
Pros: Amazing Picture quality, crisp bright. I've heard glossy attracts lots of dust and what not but I have mine slightly tilted down and there's no dust on it at all. ZERO dead pixels.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: make sure you got a sturdy desk and not a cheapo cart desk otherwise it'll wobble when you type.

Good monitor; doesn't play well with our G4 Mac Mini
Pros: Gorgeous image, though the glossy screen shows every piece of dust or fingerprint.
Cons: Our G4 Mac Mini (ATI Radeon 9200) has compatibility problems with this monitor. The screen stays blank during boot, and we have to fiddle with the cables in order to get a good signal.
After a short time, maximizing or minimizing a window causes the monitor to go blank for several seconds. Ditto bringing up Expose'. Moving a scroll bar starts showing interference lines, followed by the blank screen. Occasionally the monitor goes to "no signal" and nothing short of a restart of the computer will allow them to re-sync.
There's a very good chance that this is the fault of the Mac Mini, but we've never had issues like this with our previous DVI monitors.
We'll be returning this monitor to NewEgg, which is a shame. It's otherwise gorgeous.

Good moniter
Pros: Great monitor - crystal clear image, no ghosting, didn't come with ANY dead pixels, no problem with my Radeon x1650 - works great with native resolution even with games. Has a tilt which works okay. Didn't have to fiddle with it much.
Cons: The viewing angle is exaggerated. If you are buying this so you can watch movies with friends: find another monitor. It's great for if you are by yourself, but the colors and lighting get very messed up, even just a little off, and it is even worse with the vertical viewing angle - I have to adjust my stand if I just want to lean back. Video can be slightly choppy, but it isn't very noticeable, and it could be my computer (3.0 Ghz P4, 1 Gb of (not high end)memory)
Other Thoughts: This is my first LCD monitor that I have owned, and I love it, despite its drawbacks. I wouldn't have bought another one...
Btw the glossy part of this is really important. I wouldn't buy an LCD that Isn't glossy.

great monitor!
Pros: The color brilliance is amazing, the resolution is beautiful, the response time is fantastic. There isn't any ghosting at all. It runs Crysis perfectly. I love this monitor. It came with both vga and dvi cables. It's very slim and light weight.
Cons: There seems to be 1 stuck pixel on the lower right hand corner, it's not really noticeable unless you look directly at it. The stand is a little flimsy, but shouldn't be a problem if you don't move it around a lot.
Other Thoughts: This would be a 5 if not for the dead pixel and flimsy stand. None the less, I love this monitor and will buy another one in the near future!

Fantastic
Pros: This monitor looks crisp and clear as anything. I have owned two Acer AL1916W 19" LCDs for a couple years now and have loved them. I got this new 22" in the mail and it blew me away. I was expecting to like it, but not this much. You definetly see the 2500:1 contrast ratio difference and its just great. Much brighter whites and darker blacks then my other monitors and overall just looks very clear. Also has the option of either a DVI or regular VGA cable.
Cons: Another color? maybe black? But thats it! The glossy white is pretty slick looking
Other Thoughts: Got this during a free shipping time and cant recommend it enough. took only a couple days to get here, no dead pixels, Acer is definetly the "go to" company when it comes to LCDs. The only step up is probably a samsung.

Gorgeous LCD
Pros: Fantastic, bright, crystal-clear picture; and the slim, white perimeter around the screen makes it look dead-sexy. 100% pleased with this purchase, especially since I would've expected such a beautiful screen to cost so much more.
Cons: I personally wish that the monitor's stand would swivel and was height-adjustable, but the lack of these features doesn't make me love the monitor any less
Other Thoughts: The monitor's speedy refresh times and bright screen make it killer for gaming--I can see so much more detail in games like Gears of War and Bioshock!

Very nice
Pros: This is by far the best monitor i have owned. I also have another very similar 22 inch, however, this particular model has astounding clarity. The 2500:1 contrast ratio really brings out the vibrant colors.
Cons: price over other 22 inch monitors
Other Thoughts: although this monitor is priced slightly higher than other monitors in its same class, i highly reccomend spending the extra money for the clearer picture.

Sweet Monitor
Pros: This monitor arrived with fast shipping, no dead pixels, and excellent quality. The 1680x1050 resolution and ease of picture adjusting make this monitor very nice for the price.
Cons: Its white and metallic gray, possibly hard to match all your other hardware. If you do not care about the color( my pc and speakers are black) then this is the only thing bad I can come up with.
Other Thoughts: Try the setting for movie mode for adjustments, I think it looks awesome.

Good Monitor
Pros: Let me start by saying this monitor is a great buy. I have the P221WB which is identical to this except that the 221WB is black.
This monitor has great color reproduction and no ghosting. I'm connected over DVI (HDCP) to an 8800 GT and run at the native res 1680x1050 and everything looks great.
A very good monitor for the price i paid (not at newegg) got it cheaper elsewhere as i had a gift card to use.
Cons: The viewing angles are the monitor are a bit off. I believe I have gotten used to watching a plasma tv and using this as my desktop monitor has me put off by the viewing angles (normal for an lcd) where if not centered to the monitor the sides can appear a little washed.
I have one stuck red pixel. I just need to run a stuck pixel remover and hopefully it will go away, if not. No big deal. One stuck/dead pixel is an industry standard in many new monitors. I only end up with this one for the life of the monitor that makes it one incredible value.
Other Thoughts: To those who gave a negative review about the dead pixels.
Dead/Stuck Pixels are not a reason to discredit an LCD monitor. It is natural to occur and is considered a inherent problem with LCD monitors. To post a poor review based on one or two dead pixels giving it two stars is unfair as when you purchased a monitor you should have been aware that dead pixels on brand new monitors can be expected. Be it a $200 monitor or a $2000 TV. All these can come out of box with a one or two dead/stuck pixels and be considered in 100% working condition and not flawed. When it comes to LCD monitors, dead pixels are considered a cost of doing business. Between one and five dead or "stuck" pixels is an acceptable number, with most manufactures. The industry standard ranges from five to eight fixed pixels before replacement/repair

Great Buy
Pros: This monitor is BIG! No more sitting close, I sit about 3 feet away now...my desk is big and the monitor is all the way back. I partly bought this because of the stand, Too much money for a rickety stand, it's stable and built durable and does not loose balance unless forced to. My UPS stayed hot until I hooked-up this LCD, had a 17" crt before. I was concerned this LCD would deform the images in games and other programs but it does not. This Acer monitor is definitely worth every penny. Works perfect with Win XP Pro. Works with the native drivers.
Cons: 1 dead pixel, but it's at the bottom, it's just a little pin prick, just nod if you can hear me, is there anyone home...(Ha couldn't resist)and I have to lower my head level with it, directly in front of it before I notice it. It only shows up when the monitor is black in that area. Hence the diminished rating.
Other Thoughts: Good quality monitor, really like the stand. Buy it before it's gone.

Amazing!
Pros: Very excellent glossy display, would never buy a non-glossy again. No dead pixels!, amazing quality from Acer, has both VGA and Digital inputs. Great product.
Cons: the stand is somewhat flimsy, and does not tilt back. but other than that great product for the price.
Other Thoughts: Can't wait to play Age of Conan!!Q! May 20th

2nd One-Not happy
Pros: Read previous review
Cons: This is the second one I purchased to match the other I bought a month ago. I am not all all satisfied with this one. There is a slight modification in the case appearance. But that is not the real issue. There is WAY TOO MUCH BLUE in this one and no matter how hard I tried calibrating & such, I could not get it to come close to my other P223Wwd. Using DVI on both monitors and this defective one also reading 59Hz
Other Thoughts: I have a dual monitor setup

Works fine... nice monitor
Pros: Wonderful contrast... the users (mostly spreadsheet jockeys) who have these monitors remark that they are the sharpest images they've ever seen.
Cons: A height adjustable stand would be nice. But for the price, I'm not complaining.
Other Thoughts: The bigger the monitor, the more improvement you'll see by using the DVI interface. This monitor has a very good image when run via VGA adaptor... but it's stunning with DVI.

Absolutely Wonderful
Pros: This thing is just beautiful. I thought the glossy screen would cause a bit of a glare but I can't even see a reflection in this room. Excellent colors! Bright! and beautiful clarity. No dead pixels "yet", but those are usually noticed at first hook up. If you're looking for a huge monitor that looks great all the way around, BUY IT!
Cons: A little wobbly, but my desk isn't the sturdiest I've seen. The only other thing I can think of is just a slight color shift at a far angle, but who cares. When I'm on my computer, I'm usually in front of it. Oh, and the fact that I didn't have enough money to get another one.
Other Thoughts: My wife didn't think that the white was going to match the decor of the desk and room and stuff, but when I set it up she said, and I agree, that it looks very nice being white and all. Darn nice monitor for the price and size. It being white is just that much better since nobody makes a decent white monitor anymore.

I want another one
Pros: A definite improvement from my older 20" Sceptre. Text is more clearer and display is brighter and more vibrant.*May need to tweak for personal preferences. Nice refreshing change from standard black.
Cons: Promo,Price & free shipping did not last long enough
Other Thoughts: I got spoiled with a dual monitor setup..I gave away my original HP 17" LCD to a friend to sit next to me sceptre. After trying it out I went to purchase another but the promos were no longer valid...:(

Excellent Monitor
Pros: Bright colors and no dead pixels. Good price, and Newegg's fast delivery, as usual.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: This is much brighter and crisper than my 19 in. monitor that I thought was great.

Nice monitor!
Pros: Bright screen....clear text does a very good job. Offers lots of real estate for spreadsheets, etc. Windows XP Pro recognized it no problem. Ability to fine tune the picture to your particular satisfaction...plenty of adjustments!
Cons: None...mine has worked flawlessly since I got it.
Other Thoughts: It has a cool blue power light when the unit is on, and orange when on standby. Reminds you of a Cylon! My Geforce 5500 256mb ram video card worked fine, but I had to go to Nvidia and get updated drivers so it would do max resolution.

Vivid Dream
Pros: Very nice clean sturdy monitor. Colors really pop with the glossy screen which is a very unique and key feature. No dead pixels and an extremely beautiful vivid 22" screen that just completely draws attention with its stunning picture.
Cons: No height adjustment only tilt which works fine in most situations.
Other Thoughts: Perfect for those looking for a great beautiful looking monitor that produces an equally beautiful image.

Excellent!
Pros: Price, size, response time, natural colors, great presets, no dead pixels! Delivered via UPS overnight despite paying only for 3-day shipping! You've gotta love Newegg!
Cons: Wobbly stand but I can live with it - no problem.
Other Thoughts: I replaced my 17-inch Dell CRT with this Acer and the picture is just incredible even though the monitor is connected thru WGA wire since my old Dell Dimensions does not come with the DVI output. Vivid but not oversaturated color, unbelievable brightness and 5ms response time make this monitor perfect for website and graphic designers. Unleash your Dreamweaver with this Acer, Brothers and you shall see things you haven't seen before!

incredible
Pros: fantastic picture, especially with games and DVD. The glossy finish and white casing is a nice touch. the quality of the picture for this price cannot be matched. This thing is HUGE, quite the jump from 17inches. outstanding product. Newegg was fantastic as usual.
Cons: zilch. didnt buy two?
Other Thoughts: AMD X2 6000+, ASUS M2V, 2gb DDR2-800, 74gb Raptor, zalman 9700 cooler, MSI 512mb 8800GT....the never ending upgrade project

Wow!
Pros: Just plain WOW! It's not just the size, but the colors, the sharpness, the clarity, the contrast. WOW! No stuck/bad pixels. Even the plastic casing is sexy. I want to buy another even though I don't need it.
Cons: It doesn't magically grant me the ability to fly.
Other Thoughts: This thing is just spectacular. I'd even take it over some larger LCDs just because it's so incredible to look at. I find excuses to just sit here and stare at it....

Wonderful Monitor for a Mac Mini
Pros: This incredibly glossy monitor worked fantastic right out of the box! No dead pixels at all. Great newegg price. Paired it with my new Mac Mini (I'm a reformed PC user). I had no problems with resolution. My husband who already has a 22" monitor by another manufacturer is now eyeing this one for his next World of Warcraft (WOW) quest.
Cons: None. I have two 19" Acers and know they produce quality products. As far as my husband goes, I am already a WOW widow and have made it clear that my new Acer will not be claimed by him.

Just Wow....
Pros: Monitor arrived day before estimated delivery date, nice fast shipping. Opened up the box and just...sat there staring at how beautiful this monitor is...after a min of that I replaced my 19" Samsung 930B with this baby and was blown away by the shear quality of this picture this one afforded me...the first thing I noticed the greens weren't neon-ish with this monitor unlike my old Samsung. Everything was crisp and clear, cept my wallpaper being a low res I started to see pixels...have since remedied that with a new 1680x1050 res wallpaper.
Cons: NONE (PRO Continued) Loaded up my games, changed res to 1680x1050 ingame, didn't even take a performance hit in most of my games (SLI 7900s)
Other Thoughts: For $xxx.xx this monitor was well worth the money spent.

Excellent Monitors
Pros: Excellent price for the size. Huge desktop space. Look great compared to 3 year old 19inch LCD. Newegg's excellent service, delivered in under 48 hours from checkout to plugging in.
Cons: Base isn't exactly as strong as other reviews led me to believe. They wobble when I kick my wobbly desk but are far from falling over or hurting themselves in any way. One of the two has a light wave going from bottom to top when used via VGA but this is not a problem for me as both are running on DVI I merely tested the VGA on both for review purposes
Other Thoughts: I ordered 2 of these and after 3 weeks I still have 0 dead pixels on either screen. Both screens look great and are a huge space addition.

Beautiful Picture
Pros: Beautiful Picture. The 2500:1 contrast is what we needed when trying to print on a very wide format printer. Got this to replace a dead Gateway 19" HD LCD. The 19" Fuji monitor next to it (2nd screen) looked so color-dead compared to this. Worth the extra $$$
Cons: Glossy screen has a little bit of glare in sunlight.
Other Thoughts: I wish this screen was for my personal home computer.. But I cheaped out for another Acer 22" because of my budget. I'm not too disappointed, tho.
Comes with VGA & DVI cables. Set it to 1680x1050 for best picture.

Acer P223W 22" LCD Monitor
Pros: VERY nice looking cabinet. Hard to find a white monitor these days! NO DEAD PIXELS :-). Picture is bright & crisp. Looks awesome with my Mac G5. Works great with OS X, Visa Home Premium & XP. DVI & VGA inputs w/cables included.
Cons: Really none at this point.
Other Thoughts: If you have a Mac & you want a great monitor, BUY it. Apple makes awesome monitors, but they are WAY expensive! You can buy 2 of these bad boys or the price of one Apple monitor. I know Apple uses a higher quality LCD, but he average user won't notice much difference. I am completely happy with my purchase & am considering getting the same monitor in black for my Windows machine. CONSIDER ME SOLD!!!!

dead pixel in the first week of use.
Pros: Its a nice looking 22 inch monitor, the glossy finish is a plus. 5ms is not the fastest out there but fast enough. The shipping was extremely fast. The image is beautiful! Very bright, very high contrast!!!!!!
Cons: Dead pixel in the first week, now i got this blue light in 1 little pixel when there is a black image on the area of the dead pixel. Because the screen is so bright the pixel becomes very noticeable and annoying to look at.
I am hoping to send that back and get it fixed/replaced asap. And I hope It doesnt happen again as I know others that own the same kind and never had a problem.
Other Thoughts: Im sad that newegg.com wont solve this problem as they will only take it back when you have 8 or more dead pixels so now i have to deal with Acer directly.
Id give a 5 star if there wasnt a dead pixel so soon.

Pros: Great monitor. I've had it for over a month and nothing is wrong with it what-so-ever. If you are thinking of getting a great 22inch monitor this would be the one you might want to consider... Great Monitor!!!!
Cons: I still get fragged from time to time! :P

More than I expected
Pros: Yeah, the posted comments here and elsewhere helped me pick this monitor for my sons' computers. The guy that said the vibrancy of colors on the glossy screen with brightness that was so bright it might need to be turned down was right. I really did find I just enjoyed looking at things on this screen an awful lot more than on the standard "non-glare" screens (like mine..sniff). I'm jealous of my kids now. No dead pixels I could find on either of the ones I purchased. Yeah they are bright, first time I have ever considered turning down factory brightness. Big widescreen for the price.
Cons: Yeah, an unusual native resolution, but only one or two apps I have found where the native res was not represented. BFG's 8800gtsoc-ee handled the res with no prob. Yeah, the stand is a little wimpy if it is on a platform that isn't stable or you can move by kicking it or such. It seems to stand to reason that in general you wouldn't want to put any system into those conditions if you can help it. Was fine on the two work desks for my kids. No height adjust, but hey, the specs tell you that and you know what you are getting into for the price.
Other Thoughts: Both boxes arrived hacked up, like, I guess Edward Scissorhands couldn't get another movie gig. Fortunately the robust packaging prevented any damage as both monitors work flawlessly. Even my wife (who hates money spent on computer stuff-though not what that expensive stuff will do!) was jealous of the screens the boys got... If I could tell you one more thing I learned from this: Get one for your wife!
