Awesome monitor
Pros: -NO DEAD PIXELS! -Build quality is great (Doesn't wobble easily) -Great price for the size -Love the 5 preset modes -HDMI and DVI inputs -Vibrant
Cons: -Default settings are horrible as with every display -Speakers are bad, but what do you expect from 3W speakers
Other Thoughts: This monitor is huge! The settings were easily configured to make a truer picture. If you find some of the settings unreasonable, use the Windows 7/ATI/NVIDIA display calibration.

Excellent choice
Pros: I have had this monitor for over a year and I'm still amazingly happy with it.
Cons: Very minor problem but I can't crank out adequate volume from the on board speakers for comfortable use with internet, games, videos- normally dnn't play music with it cause I use my stereo. Speaker quality seems fine but very low. I do not have a hearing problem, its the speakers. BUT, I have amplified speakers double side taped to the top rim that can blast loud enough to hurt my ears.

AWESOME!!
Pros: Plenty of real estate, 1920x1200 res is gorgeous, NO stuck/dead pixels whatsoever, runs EXTREMELY cool (cold to the touch, aside from the tiniest bit of warmth from the vents up top)! Great price for what you get!!
Cons: N O N E !!!
Other Thoughts: Paired w/an EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SC card, CoD MW2, BF2 (AIX2), HL2, Dirt 2, CSS, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta look AMAZING on this thing!!!

Amazing monitor
Pros: It's huge, it's bright, looks great. I haven't had any dead pixels yet. For the price, this monitor is just amazing. I had no idea how giant it would be compared to my old 22".
Cons: It was SUPER eye-blinding bright on the default settings. I read through user reviews here and found where someone else had mentioned custom settings and I used his, and now it looks great.
Other Thoughts: The only bad part now is that my monitor arrived before my new computer ... so my games run a little slow at 1900x1200 :) People complain about how counter-intuitive it is to use the buttons to change the settings. I thought it was annoying at first but after 2 minutes I got the hang of it.

Very, Very Pleased
Pros: Nice, crisp colors. Very good sized monitor, was thining of going 27-28. Glad I did not. I use is for gaming moslty and the 1900x1200 Res is gorgeous. I like the fact of having a HDMI hook up. NO ghosting, no motion blur like I had when my previous 22" Acer.
Cons: NOthing at all. It is exactly what I was expecting.
Other Thoughts: I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 and just got then a week or so after. The colors are gorgous and the darks are dark. Nice auto setting that are pretty close to perfect. Just depends on what your doing or playing. Movies look really good. As good as any tv I've seen. Did I mention Games look amazing. I cant wait to see Mass Effect 2 on this think.

Stuck Pixels
Pros: Considering the size, the monitor and bezel are quite sleek. Good assortment of A/V I/O.
Cons: I've got 2 stuck pixels, both red (appear dark-red, but probably only because the pixels are so small). Both are near the edges of the screen and are only really visible when the screen is dark and you are within 3 feet of the screen (which I am). Would have preferred dead to stuck pixels (obviously no pixel issues would have been ideal). But it's my understanding that you can't get a replacement for 2 stuck pixels and even if I could, I wouldn't. Not worth the hassle and cost of shipping it back, being without a monitor for 2+ weeks and possibly being worse off with the replacement.
Other Thoughts: I bought this because it was a good value for a 1920x1200 (16:10) monitor, which I prefer (for gaming) over a 16:9 aspect ratio.
I'm disappointed that I have the stuck pixels but during normal use they don't detract much at all from my enjoyment of the monitor.
The speakers are kind of poor (expected, so not a con). Of course, I don't have the monitor against a wall, which would help reflect the sound back to the viewing area. Regardless, nice to have the speakers available even if the sound reproduction is not so great.
As for the color, I made some adjustments and I'm content. Not doing anything that requires overly-accurate color anyway. Mostly just games and web-surfing.
FYI, the screen has a matte finish, not glossy.
I'm also not using the included stand so I can't comment on that. I attached the LCD to an Ergotron desk-mount arm. Was easy to mount. Back cover pops off and reveals the 100mm mounting holes. Not sure why they even bothered with the cover.

Incredible Value
Pros: Big screen, small price tag Good customization options through menus
Cons: Poor viewing angles Not height adjustable Glossy bezel reflects light
Other Thoughts: This is a TN (twisted nematic) panel. TNs are typically less expensive and have faster response times than their VA and IPS cousins. The trade-offs are poor viewing angles and uneven color. This monitor is no exception, though the color is quite good for a TN. It WILL require some tweaking, however. The monitor is painfully bright out of the box. Some of the other reviews here provide settings you can try and are a good place to start.
I waffled between 4 and 5 eggs for my rating, settling on 5 because this monitor is growing on me. I knew going in that the viewing angles wouldn't be great and that it wasn't height adjustable so it's hard to deduct for those. In the end, this is a big, very good monitor for a very good price.

wow, so bright
Pros: The size of screen for the price is great. Lots of inputs that I use. No dead pixels upon arrival and so far. Simple, not flashy, the way I like it.
Cons: As with other complaints I had to make alot of adjustments for color correction when I first hooked the monitor up. No big deal, thats why those settings are there.
Other Thoughts: I was in need of a monitor that could support 1080P resolution so it would be easier to switch back and forth between this monitor and my TV to play PC and console games.

Do not buy! Garbage customer serivce
Pros: Decent product, Dear lord do not buy! Garbage customer service!
Cons: I wish I could return this item, simply because of customer service! I had to deal with "Rose" a MANAGER from the rebate centre. I have never felt so violated in my life. I was treated like a da** prison mate. Worst customer service ever period that I have ever dealt with! And they shipped my cards to the wrong address but still said it wasn't their fault. And I simply asked for my 3 dollar fee rush back *this is almost 3 months from ordering later* And still no rebate when I purchased rushed. My gosh OCZ, I wish I could give you negative 5 eggs. This was terrible. Will never order again, PERIOD. No matter how good the product I would rather buy second place stuff at higher price than deal with what I just dealt with. Thank Rose, please.
Other Thoughts: I am so angry I did not listen to my buds.

No Problems at All
Pros: Size - About as large as would be practical for a computer monitor. No dead pixels, Works perfect for my use (95% office work 5 % play)
Cons: No USB jacks - would be a nice feature.
Other Thoughts: I much prefer the 1900 x 1200 over the 1920 x 1080 screens. I ran a couple of video games and they worked fine (Rally 05) Hi Def movies look great. I haven't hooked up the speakers since the ones I have a very good. I really can't say much about color accuracy since that really is not much of a concern for what we use it for.

I'm Lovin' It
Pros: I absolutely love this monitor. I don't have a single dead or stuck pixel. It is perfect. I love the video presets. It makes it really easy to change settings for a game, movie, or for night viewing. I totally recommend this 1200p monitor over the 16:9 1080p monitors. If you mostly want this monitor for movies then the 16:9 is better but for computer use the 16:10 is far superior. Since buying this monitor I enjoy using all of my applications so much more. I can easily use adobe premiere and fit everything I want on the screen. It is awesome. The contrast ratio isn't anything amazing but it really isn't bad. The clarity is great and I don't notice any ghosting.
Cons: It doesn't have a TV tuner or any useful audio outputs. I wanted to use HDMI from my xbox360 but I didn't want to use the junk speakers built into the monitor but there isn't an audio output other than S/PDIF. So I just used component cables and didn't plug the RCA audios into the monitor. The ASCR isn't really that great. It would be kind of annoying during a movie. Also, the Overdrive feature is suppose to remove ghosting even more but it make video look weird on my monitor. I don't know if it is a problem with my monitor or what but I don't use it and I still don't notice any ghosting.
Other Thoughts: This monitor isn't perfect right out of the box. It took playing around with the settings for a little while. But with both the monitor settings and the display settings in Windows 7 I was able to get it looking as good as I would want it.

Unacceptable Monitor
Pros: 1. Large monitor. 2. Fast Response Time. 3. No Ghosting 4. Price
Cons: 1. Color reproduction is horrible, noticed right when I turned the screen on. 2. Everything seems whitewashed. 3. Black is not fully black. 4. Dithering on text, DO NOT buy if you read a lot on screen or code. 5. Horrible viewing angle, The color changes with just a tilt of my head.
Other Thoughts: Filter reviews by 2 eggs and you will see a theme in all the reviews, color reproduction. Had I known the whitewash was this bad I would have moved on from this monitor for sure.
I RARELY ever write reviews, but for this I feel like I had to. I recommend against this monitor simply because the color reproduction is horrible. I mainly do coding work with this monitor and right out of the box everything was off color from my old 21.5 inch dell. I fiddled with the colors and saturation for a while and got it OK, but still nothing like my old Dell. At my work, the 24 inch Dell I use was awesome right out of the box.
Granted this is a 250 dollar cheap monitor but I guess you get what you pay for, but even this is NOT worth 250 dollars.
I even game a little bit, like Borderlands, and even that color was only OK, again the black is not black enough.
If I could, I would return it, ( but alas when I bought it Newegg does not allow returns for this monitor, I think I know the re

ASUS rebates are PAID ... in 11 weeks ...
Pros: After nearly 3 mos. of daily use, I still love this trouble-free monitor. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's the Best Value of the Year.
on the Contrary to other's complaints : a) Input AUTO-DETECT works fine on mine, As does RESUME from STANDBY or Re-Boot. b) non-adjustible height for a $250( delivered) , 25-1/2" HD monitor? Try my phone book trick; very stable. c) optical input? How would 7.1 Dolby-Digital sound on 3" stereo speakers, lol?? d) factory color (too bright, too blue ) : easily adjusted : 1) select : Standard Mode 2) set Color-Temp. : User-Mode : Blue : B:50 (+/-) 3) set Image : Brightness (70+/-) and/or Contrast (70+/-) or as desired. 4) hint : try "BLACK" background / wallpaper.
Cons: NEWEGG : replacement policy stinks: 8 BAD PIXELS?? MFCTR Policy states: >3 Brite or >5 Dark But, if mine had ANY bad pixels, bleeding, etc. , I would also be singing a different tune.
Other Thoughts: UPDATE: to my review on 10/29/09
confirming : ASUS rebates are PAID ... in 11 weeks ... ... but, I did email ( nag ) them frequently, though. the ASUS REBATE PROCESS ( asus.4myrebate.com ) ... a) 3 days AFTER USPS confirms delivery (i.e. 11/02/09), they acknowledge receipt of mailed docs. b) 6 days later, they approve rebate "claim". c) "payment sent ... 01/11/10" ... EXACTLY 2 months from approval date (i.e. 11/11/09) , d) YAY !! receive $30 REBATE on 01/20/10 [ paid via a Citi-Bank credit card] .

Pros: Very good picture for the size and panel type. Good price. Plenty of connections.
Cons: TN panel.
Other Thoughts: Both of these were purchased for me. I mentioned the TN as a con because it is the cheapest panel type, however I knew that before I got these. The picture/color reproduction is not nearly as good as an IPS or VA panel.

Excellent Monitor - well worth the price
Pros: Great display - I really like the 1920 x 1200 resolution for gaming and viewing web pages. No stuck or deal pixels, no image blurring or ghosting in fast-paced games. This the best LCD I've personally owned HANDS DOWN. I purchased this from NewEgg and it arrived fast in perfect condition.
Cons: Would've been nice if it an adjustable height stand, but I knew this before purchasing so no Eggs deducted. I simply put it on a Staples black printer stand - problem solved.
Other Thoughts: I was a little leery of purchasing an Asus monitor as I've always used Viewsonic, but my fears were unfounded.

great for gaming but no optical in...
Pros: good for gaming, no little to no delay in responses. has all the video inputs i could possibly need. 1:1 pixel mapping.
Cons: buttons on monitor itself sometimes not very responsive. vid input changes are a bit slow. no auto detect feature. biggest negative for me is no optical in. that wouldve been great.

Nice
Pros: Size, Price, Nice Picture and Resolution.
Cons: No Usb ports built in. My last monitor was a high end Dell Ultrasharp. Kinda miss the usbs but not enough to take an egg away .
Other Thoughts: Other than the USB ports I have no gripe with this monitor. Great for web design. I can have Dreamweaver and Flash and or Photoshop open side by side. : )

Awesome Monitor!
Pros: -Big! -Great for the price -No dead pixels!!!! -Very vibrant colors -Many Ports -Best bang for the buck -Great for gaming -Tilts back and forth for different viewing angle
Cons: -Cannot adjust height
Other Thoughts: This monitor was a great upgrade from my 22". My old monitor had a dead pixel right in the middle which was very annoying. This monitor had none which I was very happy with. The only thing that I would like is to be able to adjust the height, other than that the monitor is flawless. The color is absolutely AMAZING! My old monitor looks so dull compared to this one. Very great picture, especially for gaming. I have a 955 be and a 4890 1gb and games look amazing. Especially Crysis the detail is so much more amazing at higher resolutions. If you're thinking about getting this monitor just do it. You won't regret it. The only thing that could POSSIBLY go wrong besides a DOA is to have a dead pixel and by reading other reviews that is very unlikely.

Solid buy
Pros: - No dead pixels - Huge monitor - Good price - From my point of view, there is no ghosting effects on fps games I played with - Plenty of inputs
Cons: This monitor needs a lot of color tweaking before getting an acceptable image.
Other Thoughts: My color tweaks are: - Night view mode - Brightness : 20 (yes this monitor is very bright by default) - Contrast : 60 - Sharpness : 45 - Saturation : 50 - R : 100 - G : 82 - B : 65
These tweaks have been done manually without a calibration tool.

Recommend this Monitor
Pros: I've had this monitor now for just over ten months and have been very happy with it. The picture to me is incredible. I am using a Radeon 4870 GPU and all my pictures, movies, and games look fantastic. I've hooked up my PS3 via HDMI and WOW. Everything has been run on maximum resolution and also has fast response time.
Cons: It does need some minor tweaking. I had headaches for a little over a week due to the brightness which meant I could only be on the computer for a much shorter time to minimize eye strain. Also I needed a bigger desk to distance the monitor even further away to be more comfortable.
Other Thoughts: I would buy again. I love this monitor.

Great screen
Pros: 1920 by 1200. Great looks. The screen looks amazing. Side viewing isnt bad at all considering its a TN panel. Plugged it in and it worked. Plenty of connections.
Cons: A little thicker than some monitors.

Color Quality
Pros: Huge monitor and 1920X1200 res. Has plenty of outputs in the back plus integrated speakers.
Cons: The color quality is terrible. The colors out of the box came very bad so I tried adjusting and could not get them to be right for me. It was too bright even after adjusting brightness, I spent hours trying to fix the colors but couldn't get them close at all. It has several option like scenery mode, game mode, night mode etc. They work OK so lets say you put game made it might look OK in gaming but in regular desktop viewing or internet browsing it might look terrible so you have to switch it. You can actually see the pixels curve in some text. Not really a big deal but might bug some people.
Other Thoughts: I really wanted to like this monitor but I wasn't going to torture myself by looking at the screen with unwanted uncomfortable colors and brightness. Originally purchased from somewhere else already sending it back for a better color/image quality monitor.

Pros: Great monitor. Has Vesa 100x100 mounting. Great color and contrast. Relatively small bezel for size of screen. Buttons work well. Blue light in power button is not annoying. Blue ray movies look nice on it. I Love the 16:10 aspect. The extra screen space is worth it over a 24in 16:9 screen. Taller and wider than a 16:10 22" screen unlike a 24" 16:9 screen that is only wider
Cons: none so far
Other Thoughts: WAY too bright out of the box. Bright to the point of banding of color shades. Do your self a favor, buy this monitor. Then go to a web site that has the free calibration instructions with colors and such then take your time to adjust the settings for this monitor. I can guarantee you will be happy with the results. It is a fantastic monitor once you take the time to adjust everything. If you are looking for a size comparison to a 24" 16:9 screen a 1080p picture will fill a 24"screen but on this screen you will have a 1"to 1.5" black bar at the top and bottom. So you will loose nothing in movies and gain some desktop space. I wish I had 3 for a eyefinity setup. Also know your old 22"16:10 screen is the same height as a new 24" 1080p screen but the 24" is longer and this 25.5 is taller and longer!

Excellent Monitor
Pros: Excellent monitor. Used it for a little over a month now and had no problems.
Cons: Don't expect the speakers to be worthwhile. While it's nice that the monitor has speakers, you should only use them as a last resort.

ASUS VW266H
Pros: Huge display. Seems like double the size of my 20" BenQ it replaced. Clear, crisp screen when not viewed up close. Good contrast ratio, 2ms response is good - no ghosting that I could detect. I like the numerable connections.
Cons: The middle-right portion of the screen had a weird grey tone to it out of the box when displaying black. I used my finger and a lens cloth to gently "massage" the affected area and it's gone...not really a con since it's no longer an issue, but worthy of a note.
Other Thoughts: Was far too bright at default settings. Changed to Scenery mode and dialed down the contrast and saturation a bit on the GPU to fix that.Too bad it doesn't support 75 Hz at 1920x1200...you have to go 1440x900 to get that. I cannot comment on the built-in speakers, as I do not use them. I got it for 278 - 30 rebate = 248 at B&H...

Pros: Great price for the size. Fast response time.
Cons: I recommend you avoid this monitor if you aren't willing to fight the horrible placement and function of the buttons for the OSD. They aren't intuitive and this monitor needs a lot of tweaking before the colors are right. It's very bluish out of the box. I can't tell you how many times I've had to walk out of the room to keep from putting my fist thru the monitor because it's absolutely painful to adjust ANY of the monitor settings.
Other Thoughts: I'm going to buy something different and pawn this monitor off on my girlfriend. She won't notice the wonky colors nor will she care about having to adjust the monitor.
Think twice before buying this monitor.

reboot problem?
Pros: Nice size for the price at the time. +Hdmi. No bad pixels. Works most of the time, except..noted in "Cons" section. Purchased for $270. This is after Newegg code. I have $30 rebate, which I have not sent out yet, because I want to see if any other problems arise.
Cons: -When I reboot my computer, the monitor does not come back on sometimes. The light stays yellow-orange, and at the same time, the power button is not able to be turned off or on. I have to unplug and plug the monitor to get it to register the output from the computer and get it back working. I emailed Asus, but they suggested changing the plug, etc.(which was no help.), but they also said to send it back to Newegg. Exchanging or returning something of this size in the mail would set the cost of the monitor up to a higher cost. This makes this monitor not such a good deal anymore. -No digital tuner.
Other Thoughts: I debated about buying a LCD monitor tv from Newegg or local. Returning it to Newegg would make the lcd cost extra. Buying from local store sometimes is higher price, and the manufacture maybe a lower standard-type.
Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer, We apologize for this inconvenience. Have you verified by trying another monitor or trying a different video card that this issue is due to the monitor? Please contact me at OC_Support@asus.com and reference case number NE0129 so that we may get more details about the issue and your system configuration. Best Regards, ASUS Support Team

Some problems, great when working
Pros: Always gret when working, best picture ever, speaker are really good for what they are, everything is overall great
Cons: i have no cons when this monitor is working, i have sent it back twice and it has yet to be fixed, i am in the process of getting checked again, maybe it is an internal problem
Other Thoughts: asus needs a little better diagnostic department

great product...great price...great service!!!
Pros: met and surpassed non-gamer expectations. personal upgrade from a 22"(21.5") 16:9 asus monitor. huge 26" (25.5") 16:10 monitor good response time 2ms(gtg) good contrast 1000:1 very good picture. can even read the fine print now! didn't know if i would like the 16:10, but i have to say that i really like having the extended vertical space for documents, and watching sports and dvd looks more realistic and less compressed comparatively. a truly awesome monitor!
Cons: i didn't receive it as a gift! only got 1.
Other Thoughts: as a certified technician, i have been building and upgrading systems for over 20 years. i am consistantly impressed with newegg's pricing and service, and asus's monitors, motherboards and video cards.

Bought 2, Love em both!
Pros: Bright screen, very vivid colors. Only 1 dead pixel out of 2304000x2 pixels. Aspect Ratio adjustment is very convenient. I can easily switch between 1920x1080 for my HD cable/ps3 and 1920x1200 for my desktop without having a stretched image. Menus are very easier to use than other monitors I have owned in the past. These monitors take up a lot of real estate -- which of course is a good thing since more screen space is always better. Speakers are nice
Cons: The stand does not pivot. One dead pixel in one of the monitors. Vertical viewing angle is very restricted. No composite input, but for a 25.5" monitor this cheap, not a major con, only a minor inconvenience.
Other Thoughts: I picked up two of these for my new desktop. The fact that the stand does not pivot is not a major con. The stands have a circular base so rotating them doesn't knock around the stuff on your desk, since the stand can basically stay in place. HDMI, Component, DVI, VGA -- Everything the technophile needs to hook up all their goodies!

This thing is great!
Pros: This monitor is gigantic! It has great picture quality and enough inputs to connect almost anything. The colors are vibrant and clear. It also does a good job displaying dark scenes. This monitor is great for watching HD content and playing games. It's an excellent monitor for the price!
Cons: This is nitpicking, but the front bezel is shiny plastic, which is a magnet for dust and fingerprints. If you are a neat freak, you will be cleaning it frequently. Also, the on-screen menu is a bit cumbersome to navigate, but you get used to it.
Other Thoughts: The monitor base is not very high, so if you have a center surround sound speaker in front of the monitor, it could block part of the bottom of the screen (depending on the viewing angle). You may want to consider getting a separate monitor stand to lift the monitor out of the way.

Awesome
Pros: No dead pixels input selection is high! Colors look great, and HD vids look beautiful.
Cons: stand could be better (can wobble back and forth sometimes) no vesa mounting holes
Other Thoughts: I have a slightly smaller version of this guy at work at love it, when I saw this for a build i was doing, i thought the price was justified for the extra couple inches, some extra inputs and good performance. I highly recommend. I love ASUS!

Great
Pros: Very nice monitor, looks great, HDMI - VGA - DVI ports.. Have a 360 hooked up as well as my PC and this monitor looks GREAT on both.
Cons: I had the same pixel issues.. would have a pink dot or red sometimes in the middle of my screen, but I would just brush my finger acrossed my monitor and it would disappear... Little worried about it later down the road.

so far pleased
Pros: Big screen, great resolution.
My web pages display more fully, requiring less scrolling, especially with the new snap feature of windows 7 i can see all the contents of one folder on half the screen and still have a large half screen left to work on.
amazing resolution makes it extremely easy to read text vs my other 26 inch 720p lcd tv.
Cons: was a little spooked by stuck pixels, but i just brushed my finger on the screen as if it was dirt and it disappeared. I verified it wasnt dirt that i brushed off.
Other Thoughts: im extremely excited by this screen.

Amazing Monitor
Pros: Nice and big and clear. Easy to use and setup. My Mom should has a cataract and demacular degeneration can see more easily then before. The monitor has lots of different capabilities to adjust it. Great product. Expect nothing less from Asus (now if only their routers could match).
Cons: HDMI cable could be just a little longer, but is the standard length. (I think all of them should be at least 7' for desktops or even 8). It doesnt have a USB connection to the computer, so you cant set the settings of the monitor like you can on an Asus Laptop. Bummer, "Splendid" doesnt work the same way.
Other Thoughts: Love most Asus productss - laptops, monitors, graphic cards, motherboards. Really cant go wrong with most of them - but then there are a few that make you scratch your head a little, like their media players, or their routers as not being best in class. However, you cant go wrong with this monitor.

a worthy purchase
Pros: no dead pixels, bright, colorful, speakers have surprising 2.0 quality (for an LCD).
Cons: no composite input (yellow RCA), no S-video input, menu buttons tend to stick.
Other Thoughts: I clicked the buy button a little too fast. didn't notice there was no composite input, so can't connect to my SD cable box to view TV. This monitor is noticeably brighter and more colorful than my 1 year old 22 inch Asus. a lot of monitor for the price after discount and rebate.

Great!
Pros: Great Color, Bright, Fast response time, i couldn't be happier. I bought this to be my main computer monitor and for use with my Xbox 360, i've had lots and lots of problems with lag with other HD TVs with my 360 so i bought this and with this there is no noticeable lag, this thing is amazing. I'm now saving up to buy a second one to replace my current duel screen monitor.
Cons: None, I've had it for a few months now and i have had no problems or complaints.
Other Thoughts: If your on the fence buy it, its an amazing monitor you will be happy. :)

Slightly Disappointed
Pros: How could you not like the size?! Input options, resolution, picture clarity.
Cons: One dead pixel smack center. Backlight bleeding on the sides. Trouble getting the color just right.
Other Thoughts: Not sure if I just got a bad one but I am really not that impressed. Frankly disappointed. I have a dead pixel right in the top center where I usually have my windows open. Also the blacklight bleed is pretty severe on my unit. I have only had it about a week so we'll see whether I sell it or not.

Nice Display
Pros: Great Display. Good color after initial setup. The unit came with the brightness at max. Once I ajusted it it was fine. I have a HDTV tuner card in computer and the picture is great. The perfect size for me any bigger would be to big.
Cons: A little higher resolution.

...meh...
Pros: large. well priced. love love love the multiple inputs. it reminds me of my gateway hd2400 i had(which i loved, and then punched...love/hate/break relationship) i like that the finish on the screen is matte, and not high gloss as was the case with the HD2400. lights are less apt to reflecting on the screen.
Cons: lackluster performance. starts up cold and dim even for an lcd. the color reproduction isn't the best, but what i was most dissapointed with, is the response time. even with 2ms response time, i still notice ghosting and tearing. and my other hardware is certainly not an issue. no surprise, the documentation and software is VERY weak. WTH is the overdrive function??? if anyone has owned an asus product, they know about the documentation and the transparent customer support.
Other Thoughts: as others have stated...the menu navigation is a bit unorthodox at first. i didn't even know where to begin. i had to google and read other peoples' frustrated posts about it. but once i learned how, it's cake.

Simply Amazing
Pros: Perfect Size and great resolution Insane amount of inputs for anything you may desire.
Cons: Yet to find one, this thing is more than I could ask for.
Other Thoughts: I for some reason didn't put 2 and 2 together when I saw this thing on the Pre-Black Friday sale (THANK YOU NEW EGG) and 25.5" just didn't register. Running dual monitors next to my 19.1" monitor...wow its dwarfed I shoulda ordered two of this one.

Very impressed
Pros: HUGE, Amazing picture quality, great fit and finish, HDMI with SPDIF passthrough. High quality panel. ZERO dead pixels. Fast shipping as always. Has options for 1:1 pixel mapping or to stretch. Lots of connection options including DVI, VGA, Component, Composite (RCA), HDMI Thanks again Newegg.
Cons: Monitor stand only tilts. No optical SPDIF only digital coax. You will need a video card upgrade if you plan on running games at 1900x1200.
Other Thoughts: I am so impressed with this monitor. At the price...you simply cannot beat this thing. The contrast ratio makes for very rich colors. I run my xbox360 to it via HDMI then pass the audio off from the SPDIF connector to my digital speakers. I almost went with the 24" and the audio passthrough was the selling point Because i use my xbox 360 at my desk for Forza (use a wheel). If you run HDMI out on your xbox360, you are limited to only hdmi for audio since there is no room to connect both the HDMI and the other AV dongle. This little feature saved the day for me. I wasnt sure about purchasing an ASUS monitor and have always gone Dell or HP. Im glad i did. This thing was built for Gaming. I cant get over how rich the colors look. I had to actually turn this monitor down because its so bright.

ASUS VW266H
Pros: It's a LARGE chunk of realestate, bright, nice and crisp. Absolutely NO dead pixels. 10x16 format which is better for doing what computers are meant to be used for. (I've got TVs for watching movies) HDMI input. Quick 2ms response. You can't beat the price.
Cons: It did take quite a bit of tinkering to get the colors to a decent level. A little of backlight bleeding at the bottom and top, but not noticable unless you are looking at a completely black page.
Other Thoughts: It's definetly easy on the eyes. I didn't find the controls any more difficult than any other flat panels that I have (five total on computers). I have a 24in HP monitor at work and I don't know it it is the computer it is hooked up to, but this monitor looks much better. Someone mentioned in a previous reveiw that it can't be wall mounted, just take off the back panel and presto. Yeah, it's not a Lacie, when it comes to color, but still it's not bad. You can spend a lot more and not get any better. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. I have owned LG, Westinghouse, Viewsonic, Hyundai and they have all performed very well. I'll see how this one does. My equipment: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe 2 Nvidia 9600GT-SLI AMD 5800 Brisbane ZEROtherm 120mm Cooler 4gig Patriot Extreme 6400 2 Seagate Baracuda 7200 500g SATA SoundBlaster Audigy Z2S (oldie but goody) And a couple of SATA DVD burners

So pretty
Pros: We finally upgraded our old system of eight years so of course we had to buy a new monitor to do the new one justice. Our old monitor was a 17" Flat screen CRT. After a week of using our new system, we had to plug in the old system to do the file transfer. Sitting in front of the old monitor felt very weird...I don't know how we lived with it for so long. This new monitor is awesome. No problems with it whatsoever. My husband is playing Champions and has no ghosting, at all. One of the biggest reasons we didn't get an LCD earlier...ghosting. That and the cost of a good quality monitor. The cost on this beauty is very reasonable and were hard pressed to find anything equal to it even in a higher price range.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: We purchased all the components for our new system from Newegg. Prices are great, quality is great, very pleased.

Alright monitor for gaming
Pros: Its a big monitor
Cons: DON'T USE THIS IF YOU NEED ACTUAL COLOR. You will never get a "pure white" out of this monitor. It will always be a gray-blue. Sitting side by side next to my Westinghouse L2410NM this monitor looks like horrible. However for gaming its really good.
Other Thoughts: I'm looking at a pure black and white image on it, and its very blueish all around. Tried to adjust the blue out of it but no luck.

Best Budget Monitor Around!
Pros: 1st thing to keep in mind is that this is a Budget monitor! If you are looking for a professional series monitor, common sense should tell you sub - $300 isn't going to get it!! This is a basic gaming monitor at best.
It is very Bright (which is great because u can't turn up a dim screen but can turn down brightness). I played several FPS games (TF2, Crysis Warhead, L4d2 DEMO and WOW- ALL Had absolutely no Ghosting! Sharp text, lots of color adjustments and presets, has BASIC hidden speakers for those wanting to reclaim desktop Real estate. Lots of inputs so you can use it as a TV (intended for your desk not living room hence no Remote - DUH!). Shiny black housing provided you aren't the type to constantly grab and adjust creating fingerprint smudges.
The monitor I received had no issues or Stuck/Dead Pixels. In fact the packaging was very secure. I love that even though this is a sub-$300 25.5" monitor they included all the cables necessary to hook it up to your PC!
Cons: I think ASUS could have went with a better stand design since it is a bit flimsy. Yes its sufficient to hold this Large monitor but if you don't have a solid secured desk the monitor will wiggle when bumped. While it is a budget monitor, it would have been nice if they offered a optional remote. I think the control adjustment interface is not very well layed out and even though I have seen it before on other monitors it is definitely the biggest weakness.
Other Thoughts: Mine didn't have any of this bleeding or light dark conditions some of the other reviews are talking about. So perhaps theirs were defective. Both ASUS and NEWEGG have guidelines for defective parts as well as a 3year WARRANTY. What more can you ask for!

not much you don't know already
Pros: excellent widescreen monitor that probably performs better than my HDTV (my HDTV still rocks though). I mean come on. I love that they finally recognized a want from the community to have XXXX by 1200. There were some out there. But there were issues that not everyone can overcome ($ and not absolutely wanting to use the product as much as possible to get your ROI).
This seemed to be a very decent price, and possibly the only choice close enough to containing the view things that make me happy.
I run the risk of writing too much, meaning my technical detials are "light to non-existen."
Intel i7 NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 8 GB ram. Pair of WD Black HDs
No I'm not trying to brag at all but I do think my system rocks my world and have even used it to do most of my non-personal computing (aka Office Work which is in the Software Industry).
Anyway, if all of the mostly 5 eggs isn't enough just go with your instinct. I have no complaints about dead pixels, shipping, or fe
Cons: It would always be great to have a height adjustment stand, but the tilt on this does help if you think height will be a problem. Other than that my only complaint is that I don't have another one of these.
Other Thoughts: Newegg is likely Easter at anytime you want and you always find the best.

Amazing
Pros: Lovely monitor for the price range, coming from a 17" 12x10 this drastically increased work space. Pixel mapping and 4:3 scaling on the monitor itself, nice feature to have if you can't get it to work on your video card drivers for whatever reason. Gaming is nice on it, no very noticeable ghosting of the image while gaming or general everyday things, its there but I have to be looking for it to see.
Cons: The stand, as others have said, it wobbles easy. The colors are a very blueish tint out of the box. Pixel pitch of .287mm can make some small text not so clear, so that might be something to consider before buying, it didn't bother me. Some backlight bleed at edges can be noticed with black desktop, it is however mild and not usually noticed.
Other Thoughts: As mentioned, blue tint. I personally found R:85 G:80 G:55 to work as it matches my old monitor almost perfectly, and the tint is gone. This may or may not be desired for others, but its fair. (You can set them in Menu>Color tab>Color temp.>user mode on the monitor)
Overall since I mainly bought this for gaming and to get away from my dying CRT it is a great monitor, if looking for a monitor this one deserves a consideration in purchase, once the menu is learned and time is taken to remove the blue tint in the colors, you wont be disappointed.

GREAT monitor
Pros: great monitor absolutely zero dead pixels, color was great for me right out of the box, games look great (review video)
Cons: none so far whatsoever
Other Thoughts: remember that this video is used to show functionality and was taken with a decent web cam, so quality is not that great

Just freakin' awesome!
Pros: It's huge! I'm not sure how I could ever go back to a smaller monitor.
Cons: The color is a little off but if you play with it you can get it pretty close to normal. It does take up quite a bit of room but it's worth it if you need/want to run several things at once or do any kind of video/photo editing.
Other Thoughts: The base could be a bit smaller, the front is 9" away from the wall but it probably needs the extra support.

Hit BUY already!
Pros: Very big and very bright! No dead pixels whatsoever on the 2 that I bought. If you don't like the color(other posters) you can adjust it. 5 or so preset video modes (game, movie, etc.) - one of those should suit you if you don't want to change settings yourself. My family absolutely loves them. Best monitor I've seen!
Cons: ~BIG~ a pro to me. Some have complained about stand - my 20" Samsung monitors would shake on the desks that I use, I haven't noticed it with these. - I have no complaints.
Other Thoughts: Upgraded from Samsung 20" widescreen, which I still have. This monitor makes those look tiny. These ASUS are much brighter also, but I think that is mostly due to size. I use 24" HP widescreen monitors at work, and I think these are much better, IMHO.

Pros: Decently priced, pretty gorgeous screen; it has vga, component, hdmi and dvi.
Cons: My audio died! Worked fine up until about two weeks ago? I purchased the monitor in March.
I've tried using the audio with third party speakers via hdmi/component/3.5" and it's own monitor speakers via hdmi/component/3.5" and have failed.
What does this mean? I can't enjoy 1080p quality! I can! BUT WITH NO AUDIO! SAD. PANDA. FACE.
Other Thoughts: Asus.

Disappointing even for the price -- bad viewing angle
Pros: Price, size, low latency
Cons: Viewing angle, highlights handling
Other Thoughts: If you're used to high quality LCDs, think twice and if at all possible take a look at these or other TN displays before buying.
I bought three of these to use for a triple-head gaming system. The main problem is the viewing angle. I knew it would be narrower than the expensive panels on my photo editing workstation, but what I didn't expect was that it would be so narrow that I would see pronounced color and contrast shifting even just from slight movement of my head as I shift around in my seat. This doesn't matter for action games, but is very annoying in settings such as character dialog in an RPG, where the face of the person you're talking to will shift from pale to tan or vice versa if you change from slouching to sitting up in your seat.
On the positive side, there is zero motion blur, and across all three panels I have zero dead or stuck pixels.
In sum,

one RED Bright Dot
Pros: price, but i care about the quality much more
Cons: red bright dot, i can easy to find it out, it make me unhappy all the time when i use this monitor.
Other Thoughts: i own a NEC lcd mon 6yrs ago, and still dont have any bad pixel. I ordered the second asus vw266h 2 days ago, but the first one got a red bright dot just after a month.

Lovin It!
Pros: - Bright, but not overly - Big, plenty of landscape - HDCP compliant - Lots of inputs (HDMI, DVI, Component) - Sleek Look - Easy Interface (well, I've only had ASUS monitors, so i'm used to it. a little confusing at first, but you get the hang, just like learning to drive a stick) - Includes DVI and VGA cables - Great, durable quality - Sleek, glossy black look (not distracting like some people worry about) - Basic cable organizer
Cons: - Having had a prior Asus PW191, I would've loved to see a nicer stand - Doesn't really tilt much (although it is eye level, so no biggie really) - Colors are not perfect out of the box (just bring up some picture and adjust the image from the menu, so it can be fixed)
Other Thoughts: Personally, I'm a fan of glossy screens just because the image is so much nicer. I only have Asus monitors, and knowing the Asus quality I went ahead and bought one. I actually don't mind the matted feel and texture, along with the way it looks, and overall I'm very happy with the purchase (so happy in fact that I just bought a second one for dual screens). It's very large, and being a college student using the provided college desk I believe both the screens should fit with some screen landscape hanging off the edges (i haven't gotten the second one yet, just bought it yesterday so im estimating). Asus has always been good to me, and their quality really shows. Thanks Asus for another amazing product, you have my business forever. Pros: Amazing monitor and best bang for the buck period! Easy to install, no dead pixels, and beautiful display and colors. I read people complaining about settings out of the box. I would agree that the brightness is way too high. I ordered this along with a new GTX 275 video card that replaced a HD3870 card. The monitor looked okay with the HD3870 out of the box. When I put the GTX 275 in my cabinet this monitor just came alive. Gaming at 19200X1200 is just amazing. For the price you cannot go wrong. I did not want to shell out $600.00+ for a good NEC etc. I am very happy with my choice and I was going to get the 24" but it was out of stock. I am glad I went with the bigger monitor and the better resolution. I challenge anyone to find a better monitor for under $300.00.
Cons: the da** thing was not free.

$300 paperweight
Pros: It will prevent a very large stack of paper from flying away.
Cons: This monitor gets noticeably darker toward the top of the screen and no amount of adjusting has corrected it. I primarily game but I do just enough graphics work that this is really a major issue for me. I have re-hooked up my old monitor and will unfortunately be unable to use this one. May you have better luck.

Great
Pros: Great for COD MW2! Never thought so much code could fit on one screen. Great for the price, I cant see a large dell, like the ones in the conf rooms at work (30") being that much better, at least not $1,200 worth.
Cons: Need to find the sweet spot on viewing angle, wobbly stand. Use win 7 color management to set it up, need to take some blue out.
Other Thoughts: Same res as 24", so text isnt as small to read.

Best Monitor I've Ever Had
Pros: I bought 3 monitors working in triple monitor mode. The picture is bright, no dead pixels, no shadows in games. Worth every penny. I love these monitors. All my friends are jealous.
Cons: Can't think of any, these are awesome.
Other Thoughts: Wish I would have been thinking and ordered a VK266H for one of the monitors so I had the center monitor with a webcam. No big deal.

Great, Cheap, Big!
Pros: For the record:
This monitor hangs brilliantly on an Ergotron LX arm; it is clearly within the weight limitations despite the size being larger than the LX is specced for.
This monitor works great as a second monitor for 15" MacBook Pros (non-unibody).
Cons: TN Panel makes it finicky with colors, brightness, etc. at only slightly different angles.
The stand is garbage and deserves to be replaced with an adjustable solution.
Other Thoughts: OSX (10.4 here) let's you rotate the view once a secondary monitor is plugged in.
The TN panel isn't the greatest for viewing angle, which is why you spring for this wicked arm mount so you can tweak it every which way you slump and slouch so that the viewing angle limitations don't come into play.
Think about how many trips to the eye doctor and the chiropractor it would take to justify the 110 bucks for a quality position-able display mounting solution. I don't work for Ergotron, if you find another one, awesome, just letting you know that these are meshing very well on my desk at the moment.

Sweet freaking deal.
Pros: 1920 x 1200 huge display, works like an HDTV with all kinds of outputs (HDMI, DVI, Analog, Component). Built-in speakers are convenient when testing game systems w/ HDMI inputs. 25.5" screen is absolutely beautiful with deep rich colors in Theatre mode.
Cons: 3 watt speakers not the best, but at least there are speakers as a temporary solution.
Other Thoughts: $239.99 after rebate = GREAT deal.

Steal of a Deal
Pros: Great picture (after playing around with the OSD settings), tons of screen real estate, and the best part, it was CHEAP ($239.99 after MIR which I hope eventually shows up). Was going to go with a Sammy TOC, but after delaying my purchase due to being unable to figure out the difference between the samsung T260 and T260HD models, the deal for this baby came along and it was way too good to pass on.
Cons: Viewing angle isn't great, but hey, that's what you get with LCD screens. In any case, its way more pleasurable to look at then my old 21" dell 4:3 LCD. Inputs in the back are hard to access, but I don't routinely connect and disconnect inputs. Finally, the stand won't win any design awards, but it is functional (and easy to attach).
Other Thoughts: Love this monitor. Placed the order the morning of 11/17, it was at my doorstep the following afternoon. As always, kudos to Newegg.

Great monitor!
Pros: Great monitor, this thing is a BEAST! i upgraded from a 19" to this and it's mind blowing! this is literally like turning my old 19" on its side and putting 2 of them next to each other. no dead pixels (i always am nervous about that) the picture quality is absolutely amazing, crisp and clear picture, the 1920x1200 res is crazy upgrading from 1440x900, SUCH a difference. you wont be disappointed with this monitor. am currently using it for gaming and everything looks so beautiful.
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: make sure you have the desk room, this thing is a cow, a large, beautiful, desk space using cow. also, some people were complaining about a blue tint on the top and red tint on the bottom, this is true for right out of the box... these people need to learn to take 10 minutes and calibrate their monitors, once u get the settings right everything looks perfect!

Great Picture
Pros: Beautiful contrast, color and overall picture. Highly recommended.
Cons: It sits a bit low to the desk and I don't think the height of the stand is adjustable (haven't been concerned enough to check). Came with a DVI-D cable (would have preferred DVI-I).
Other Thoughts: I still need to check if it will power save while using the HDMI input, as my last monitor wouldn't.

Pros: BIG. 1080p. Aesthetically pleasing. Has multiple ports for everything I need. Has HDMI. Has its own speakers that surprisingly work very well.
Cons: The menu is very lacking. Doesn't have a selection to choose resolution, or at least a clear one that's easy to locate. Menu is very small/simple, but in a bad way. Volume must be pressed down first in order to change volume in any level. These are all minor problems I had, not enough to warrant a loss of an entire egg rating.

ZOMG awesomeness!
Pros: HUGE! this thing is a monster with great resolution and everything you could want for gaming. Plus the price and MIR make it a SURE THING. Have never had problems with Asus myself or receiving MIR's. I viewed and toyed with LED compared to LCD monitors and don't feel anyone would be able to tell where the extra money went unless they were editing HD movies. For your money spent on a good monitor, this is the deal your looking for.
Cons: I only bought 1!
Other Thoughts: Newegg: Fast shipping, great email updates thru order process, perhaps the best customer service available online and unbeatable deals!

Love my Monitor
Pros: The monitor has a great picture, no dead pixels, works with the computer for video games. I also have my Xbox360 connected to the monitor for gaming and the monitor looks good. I have not seen any ghosting to cause me to be concerned.
Cons: Have to turn down the brightness. way to bright out of the box.
Other Thoughts: I like having both the video connections and the speakers sound good for gaming(considering they are monitor speakers)

Great Deal
Pros: Wonderful color quality, no dead pixels. Using a dual monitor setup with 1920x1200 res. running off a Dell XPS M1530 The 1920x1200 resolution looks fantastic by the way :)
A very good deal if you need an ungodly large monitor.
Cons: You have to get used to the menu, but once you understand it, no problems.

ASUS did not honor the mail in rebate
Pros: Nice monitor. I would say average to above average for the market.
Cons: The mailin rebates are useles in my opinion. I usualy get about 50% back of the ones I send in and that is months after the purchase. This one I never got back from ASUS Since the resolution of this 25.5'' monitor is same as a 24'' monitor you bearly notice the difference. Save yourself 100$ and get a 24''

MORE THAN HAPPY
Pros: HUGE SCREEN, price, vivid colors, crisp clear screen and best of all NO DEAD PIXLES!!!
Cons: not a dam one
Other Thoughts: I know it’s a bit early but I had to write mainly to say that there were no dead pixels, the colors are vivid and the screen is clear. I was very hesitant on getting this after reading the negative reviews based on the dead pixels and color bleeding… Well all I can say is that I’m very happy that I took the chance; the monitor is every bit of 5 stars. I use it for design work, movies and gaming, it handles all.

a thing of beauty
Pros: Big. No dead pixels. Realistic, lifelike colors after adjustment in Nvidia X Server settings (Linux). Was completely at home with it in minutes, a huge compliment from an OCD perfectionist. Makes a cool noise like a combination of a glass harmonium and a slide whistle when I slide my fingers along the vents on the top. (Try it!) Doesn't give off much heat, a plus for Arizona. I even like the way it smells. Basically life-changing, because computering is my life.
Cons: Frame rates for GeForce 6150SE onboard graphics are not the same for 1920x1200 as they were for 1280x960, so it's time for a graphics card. I can see every artifact and speck of dithering noise in photos I took years ago with a 4 megapixel camera. As you can see, these are not problems with the monitor, just the rich man's burden.
Other Thoughts: Familiar colors from my past keep making me smile.
I crank the brightness because I like my daylight photos to look realistically bright, so night sky photos don't look perfectly black at the edges. Light bleed has never bothered me much, though. With all the light pollution now, the night sky's not even black anymore.
Right after unboxing, I swore there was a band of color distortion at the top of the screen, but it turned out to be diffraction caused by the protective clear tape on the bezel hanging over the edge of the screen. Once the tape was taken off, the distortion vanished. Then my attention was grabbed by a tiny smudgy area near the top edge. It turned out to be a smudge. The display is spotless, at least until I brush my teeth.
What compares to the joy of tweaking a new monitor all day? (Rhetorical.)
This replaced a 10-year-old 17" LCD monitor which cost 66% more. I hope to replace this in 10 years with a 250" 3D transmission holography device for 1/3 the

Awsomeness
Pros: Large screen, nice color (although i liked my CRT due to no pixle pitch that i could see). Comes w/ speakers, tho i could do w/o them in lue of better specs or a webcam. And it does not auto detect/set resolution or any thing like that..makes it much more standable than them darned auto ones.
Cons: Uhh probably my fault but te lack of a composite in really got me. It does have composite, vga, and DVI.
Other Thoughts: I guess i miss understood the specs as i thought there was a composite input...there is not. But I still love it.

An excellent monitor
Pros: Big, really big, and looks great, but you'll need some horsepower to drive this thing. Looks great with games and was easy to set up. No dead pixels and viewing angles are good.
Cons: Big, really big, takes up a lot of space and if you've got a hutch check your measurements. I didn't.
Other Thoughts: As usual Newegg was perfect; ordered Thursday evening and it was in town on Saturday. I had it installed Monday evening.

You can't beat this.
Pros: Literally just unboxed and plugged this in, and its fantastic. Its HUGE even compaired to my BenQ 22' it replaced. NO DEAD PIXELS, and packed really well.
I purchased this based on the great deal ($249), and the number of connectivty options. Most other HDPC monitors don't offer the I/O of this thing. 3yr warrantee is another big plus.
Really clear picture right out of the box. I switched to auto Theater mode, and I like it.
I have not tested the HDMI yet, hooked up with DVI, but have to try the HDMI soon.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I am not a huge fan of the NewEgg monitor return policy, and I wish they would change it to allow exchanges, but I wont have that issue with this Monitor, its great.
If you on the fence, compair to other 25.5's and you will buy this one.

Couldn't be more pleased
Pros: Huge, great color, excellent preset modes, can handle two documents without crowding, No bad pixels, Big enough to be a great HDTV, PRICE!!
Cons: Not really a con but I use it as a tv now and then and wish it had an IR port. The speakers are a little off. Fine for most things but not great.
Other Thoughts: This monitor does precisely what I ordered it to do. It provides an excellent second screen for my laptop. Makes software and web development a cinch. Great real estate for a great price.

Pictures too dark....
Pros: BIG monitor, lots of inputs, thin bezel, 3 yr warranty, seemingly inexpensive.... They work well in a 2 monitor setup too. Sounds great, right? Not so much, read the cons.
Cons: 1 dead pixel in one of the monitors, but no big deal really.
While you can adjust the color, contrast, etc. I was never able to get pictures/video to show without looking pretty dark. Whites are bright, but shadows in pictures seem to consume everything and even with high contrast it's difficult to see the item's border in the picture. Games required high gamma levels, which isn't too big of a deal once setup. Sitting with the monitor at a normal height, pictures are dark (as mentioned before), BUT if I stand up, looking down on the monitor, things are somewhat lighter. Overall, no matter what I do pictures are still usually too dark. Strange.
I'm disappointed with these and am replacing them monitors with something else. Personally, I'm staying away from the 2ms design, as I think this has something to do with it. Not sure, but I think so...
Pity, really....

THE BEST!!!
Pros: This monitor is one of the best monitors for the price and size. I couldn't believe the brightness and contrast compared to my friends 24" acer. The built in resolution settings are the best for gaming because it can have full 1080p with the shading between high-lights and low-lights.
Cons: Cheap stand, but its all good, b/c it wont fall over.
Other Thoughts: Came with no dead pixels, stuck pixels, or uneven crystal layers like you can get with cheap monitors. This can be caused by poorly manufacturing the monitors polorization films in the LCD.

Great product
Pros: No dead/stuck pixels, zero backlight bleed, tons of space, matte finish still gives a perfect picture with bright windows behind me. Handles fast action with no problem. Great gaming monitor.
Cons: Photos don't look quite as nice as they could because of the 18-bit color limit common to cheaper LCDs right now. Video or photo professionals or extremely picky people should go with something more expensive.
Other Thoughts: I actually have the model that has the built-in webcam, which Newegg doesn't seem to carry anymore, but they're identical except for that. Buy one now!

YOU .... Gotta Get You ONE of These ! ! !
Pros: Picture quality is outstanding, 3 yr ASUS warranty and it's HUGE.
These 25.5" monitors are just beautiful and I had NOT one (1) Dead/Stuck/Bright Pixel ; nada, none, zip ... YAY! "Great QC"-ASUS. It was well packaged for shipment. Bright, Crisp, High-Detail picture right out of box. Everything is as descibed.
16:10 format "rocks" for PC monitor and super-fast 2ms GtG. Multiple video inputs (DVI, HDMI, VGA, Component). Stand-Tilt is nice.
I have only tested with VGA and mobo-graphics (Intel Extreme @ max 1600 x 1200 on tricked out Dimension 4600) but I am very pleased so far.
The setup buttons are well placed on panel. Although I think these buttons may be a failure point if they are used frequently ( i.e. to change input and pre-sets from PC to DTV to BR .... a remote would be nice).
Contrary to others, I think 0.75" Bezel is perfect size ( 1.1" along bottom ).
Cons: I have to add my minor gripe about stand. As an engineer, I observe that the low point of support is less stable and subject to greater stress than a higher support point.
A remote-control would have been extra sweet; for more convenient input switching ,,, etc. and to provide longer "life" to panel mini-buttons.
Other Thoughts: Quit Procrasctinating.. BUY IT. The Deal of the Year.
2-Day delivery; Fantasic Service Newegg. Super Low Price: $249.xx after coupons, discounts, rebates and FREE s/h. for this BAD BOY
As-Shipped settings are WAY to Bright and bluish. Take some time to "calibrate or tune" to personal taste. Try the ASCR Auto Contrast setting.
It has ZERO perimeter backlight-bleed after test in dark room with WinXp BLACK desktop bckgrnd.
Rear connections are a snap to reach: Lay monitor flat on face or remove snap-in back-panel. Speakers? It has speakers too? Can I exchange the speakers for a remote-control? lol ... My 12 yr. old Altec Lansing's w/Sub still rule !
re: Stand Height Adjustment ... what else can you do with a telephone book?
Monitor stands 18" tall x 23" wide (viewable : 21-3/4" x 13-1/2" )

Amazing monitor for price
Pros: This thing is massive! Huge upgrade from my old 17'' monitor! Plus this thing makes everything look great! I love the different screen setting, really makes whatever your doing look even better. Really great quality monitor for the price.
Cons: I have a single dead pixel on the bottom right of my screen, but you really have to be looking for it in order to spot it. Other than that I am in love with this monitor!
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this Monitor to anyone, it is that awesome!

Great Screen!
Pros: Looks beautiful. Games, Blueray, you name it, it looks great! I run my Asus Laptop to it via HDMI without a hitch, and my PC via DVI. No dead pixels and perfect color. Bought a 2nd one 2 weeks later for my office computer!
Cons: None.

Awsome for the price
Pros: No dead pixels Awsome picture with blueray Sound is very good for a monitor Games look awsome
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: I see alot of complains about the stand but for the size of the monitor and weight might be too much for a fully ajustable one. it does tilt front to back easly

Great monitor
Pros: Just got this monitor and it rocks. It does have a bit of a blue hue to it, but it's actually easier on my eyes than my WUXGA laptop screen.
Cons: none so far
