Pros: Incredible picture, very quiet. Shooting 88" at @15'; I'm using black out cloth as a screen and the picture is amazing. Good picture even on non HD source; DVD and HD channels are spectacular! I have a 42" 1080p plasma and cannot tell a difference between 720 and 1080.
Cons: occasional rainbow effect due to DLP but barely worth mentioning
Other Thoughts: As stated before, the projector projects upward so it is perfect out of the box for table top projection. I have small kids and wanted to place the projector higher so I built a "nest" on top of the A/V cabinet placed behind the sofa. The projector can sit in the nest inverted thus projecting down rather than up putting the image at the perfect height on the opposite wall. This setup does away with lengthy and expensive wires because everything is in the same vicinity. Especially useful because I am renting and didn't want a permanent installation. I love this projector!

Great Picture Quality
Pros: I have got about 350 hours on it and I have it hooked up to my Samsung HTZ-320 Home Theater DVD System. It is mounted 22ft. from the wall that I taped off and painted with BEHR Interior flat Siver Screen(light gray) paint and it looks great. The colors are vibrant and saturated. Its hard to explain how good it looks here in text but everyone who sees it, they come in and they say WOW! I painted the walls and part of the ceiling over and around the screen black(beluga) with BEHR Interior flat enamel to cut down on glare. I basically turned my living room into a Home Theater Room.It is 145 inches diagonally and could go bigger but the power inlets stoped me. Very clear and crisp picture. I also have three windows that I put curtains on to block out the light and make the room darker so I can watch movies in the daytime.
Cons: The only con I can think of is if something is moving really fast across the screen, sometimes there will be small horizonal lines in the picture but it is not to distracting and it doesn`t happen very often.
Other Thoughts: This is my first projector and I am very, very happy with this one. I will probably keep it for a long time, maybe next year I will hook a Blue ray player up to it. It still puts a smile on my face every time I watch a movie on it and my friends who come over to watch one with me say it is better than going to the movies.

Give me quantity over quality any day of the week
Pros: 720P resolution, can take any input you will ever need, small size. Computer games, console games, and movies all look great on this (for a real treat, play Crysis on this bad boy). I almost backed out of buying this model because some reviewers complained about "rainbow effects". I've used this for about 50-100 hours so far and I haven't found anything. I'm using it on low power mode to get everything I can out of the lamp, and the image looks fine. This looks just superb on a budget projector screen like the DaLite 105" I purchased to go with it. With my current throw distance, I only cover 90" of it, but I'll be moving soon and hopefully the living room of the new place will be larger.
Cons: Only 720P resolution, but you'd have to put up about another $1,000 to get a projector that'll do 1080P. Other than my computer, I do not own any HD devices so that's a very small problem. The biggest problem I have thus far is that the projector is natively angled to shoot a little bit upward. I have a fan in my living room so I couldn't mount this upside down from the ceiling so I instead put it on a shelf above the couch. Because it's right-side-up still, the trade-off is that I sacrifice a bit of quality when I keystone the image to correct the skewing.
Other Thoughts: Keep in mind, you'll need to spend about $300 everytime the lamp burns out.

Best HD projector for the money.
Pros: It is very bright, very sharp, very quiet, and the price is right. I have the projector sitting right next to me and it is very quiet.
Cons: Very slight rainbow effect if you watch carefully. I watched Star Wars IV and fighters against the blackness of space would have a rainbow blur ever so slightly.
Other Thoughts: The HC1600 looks great. I have it on component video till the HDMI cable arrives Thursday. It is very bright, very sharp, and very quiet. Yes, there is a rainbow effect but it is very minor. If someone had not mentioned it I would not have noticed. When something very bright moves against a dark background sometimes you can see rainbow colors out of the corner of your eye. It is very minor. This is the best deal out there. I watched The Dark Knight on my DVR in HD. It was stunning. I really appreciate the zoom lens on the projector, something the HD65 does not have. I am in a little log house and I have a bright, sharp, 60 inch, HD TV in my house. It looks great. Football season here I come!

Great deal - no complaints
Pros: Excellent picture and brightness - we use it in a darker room. Easy setup for us, HDMI from cable DVR and VGA from computer. Got a great price and a free bulb when we purchased. Hard to beat that! Excellent connectivity also. The kids love watching ST*R W*RS on an 8 foot screen!
Cons: None really. People always say "could be brighter" or "could be 1080p" but that isn't what we bought or paid for. Can't think of anything I expected but didn't find, then again we did A LOT of research prior to buying.
Other Thoughts: A little tricky getting the windows machine to drive it with the proper native resolution of 1280x720 - but that is a windows issue, not the projectors problem. For its specs it is an excellent projector and a great price.

fantastic budget projector
Pros: This projector is bright enough to be used in a normal room with a fair amount of light. It's 720p, so the picture looks very nice.
Cons: The refresh rate is low. Usually this is not an issue. Only one input for each type. You can use a receiver with video passthrough to get around this though.
Other Thoughts: I'm using this projector with a 150" screen in a ground level room. I use it with my playstation 3 and it works very well. I am very glad I chose this projector.

Way better than expected
Pros: For the $, you can't beat this projector. My old Benq died so I purchased this and, when it arrived, it took all of 3 minutes to have the ceiling mount moved over and get it up and running. I, personally, do not see any of the rainbow effect and the picture quality is WAY better than I expected for a projector in this price range.
Cons: Kind of limited on inputs but, if you plan it out right, this should not be a problem.
Other Thoughts: If you are bouncing around between models in this price range, just buy it. You won't do any better.

More than expected
Pros: Cost. This projector was by far the cheapest 16:9 projector I could find new. I wasn't expecting much from it but it looks great in the home theater. Everyone who watches movies at my place is very impressed. For the price, I don't know how you can beat this little projector.
Cons: I've had close to 2 dozen different people watch movies with this thing and only one has complained about the rainbows. The 2x color wheel is to blame. It doesn't bother me but it is an issue for some.
Other Thoughts: I'm very pleased. Just buy it.

MAJOR upgrade!
Pros: I upgraded to this projector from an old Mitsubishi SL4U. All I have to say is WOW! I am very happy with this unit. The picture is crystal clear. HDMI functions beautifully. The colors were ok out of the box, but they were easy to tweak to more realistic looking levels.
Cons: Some people say the fan is loud, but this unit is actually WAY quieter than my old projector. Not a con, just a point.
Other Thoughts: I am projecting on to a screen I made with White drapery liner cloth and black felt for the edges. You can find some great tutorials online for building your own screen. The cloth comes in 54" rolls, so I built my screen 52" tall so I could staple the cloth on the top and bottom of the frame.
Total screen size is 107" diagonal at 16:9. It is uttrerly flawless and truly amazing.

Great 1st projector
Pros: Easy setup, great picture quality and brightness when viewed in low enough lighting. Great price. Have gotten well over the 3,000 hours on the bulb. HD sports and movies are awesome. 8' diagonal at a throw distance of about 15-20 ft.
Cons: Screen cannot have any lights on it. If so, image gets dull, but is still viewable. Having a ceiling mount would help with walking in front of projector. Will eventually have to purchase expensive bulbs.
Watching too much sports and movies!
Other Thoughts: I have gotten well over the 3,000 hour make on the bulb. However, when we have the projector on, it usually stays on for at least a few hours - baseball game and then a movie etc.
As far as the projector vs. TV console decision, if you have the space, GET THE PROJECTOR. Even at *only* 720p, this projector has amazing picture quality and throws a beautiful image when viewed from the appropriate distance. I'm currently viewing a 8' diagonal image with full surround sound and have only seen one film in the theaters in the past year!
Sports are also great to watch on the projector. Instant replays are crystal clear and with such a huge screen, they're easy to make out.

Great for the price
Pros: I picked this up on newegg for less than $700. I'm using it in a home theater that is completely dark and the picture is wonderful. This is my first home theater projector and I though I would regret not spending more money and getting something nicer. No regrets at all. Blu-rays look great and HDTV also looks great. My screen is just under 9 feet and the picture looks fantastic. I'm sure there are nicer projectors out there but this is a great way to go if you are on a budget. I haven't been using it long but so far, I am very pleased. I wasn't expecting much from this projector (as there are many better higher priced projectors on the market) but I am very happy with it.
Cons: It has a 2x color wheel which means there is more chance of rainbows. After several hours of viewing I have yet to see any. It's not a con for me but I can see how it might be for some.
It's not full 1080p. That means I will have to upgrade in the future but for the price this is hardly a con.
Other Thoughts: Check the zoom and throw calculations before purchasing. This projector actually throws a smaller image than most DLPs in it's range (which can be good if you plan to mount it further back).

Knock me over with a feather
Pros: GREAT picture, was shocked! I went ceiling mount (Projector-Gear aluminum mount for $45) and decided to get all wires and such hooked up and out of the way even though I didn't have screen yet. Even on a tan wall the it is a really nice picture. Dog tried to attack life size Conan.
Cons: Somewhat loud fan (less then expected, but still a con). Having to set up Keystone correction.
NO SLEEP TIMER... Seems like a sleep timer would be a must on a projector.
Other Thoughts: SageTV (former MythTV user, SageTV HD Theater makes HD a breaze) on Windows Vista - 3x HDHomeRun dual tuners - 6 TB RAID5 for DVR storage. - APC Battery back-up, never miss a show again - 5x SageTV HD Theater for front ends

Fantastic Projector for a decent price
Pros: HD projector, fair amount of inputs, great picture
Cons: At full zoom with about 14 feet between the projector and the screen you can see pretty severe fish eye effect which is not altogether surprising. I might have to reign in the zoom a bit and have a smaller picture.
Other Thoughts: Easy to set up, much quieter and far batter picture than my old projector. Works really well for Wii/DVD and ok for laptop display.

great deal!
Pros: BLACK LEVELS, PRICE, PICTURE QUALITY
Cons: VIDEO SCALING, LIMITED INPUTS
Other Thoughts: GOT THIS AND A BEAUTIFUL 96" SCREEN FOR UNDER $1000, CAN'T BEAT THAT. USE THE SETUP FOR MOVIES AND XBOX 360. DID NOTICE SOME STAIRSTEPPING/JAGGIES BUT THAT MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE XBOX 360. ONLY 1 HDMI, 1 COMPONENT VIDEO,1 SVIDEO,1 COMPOSITE VIDEO INPUT. WOULD LIKE TO SEE 1 MORE HDMI BUT ITS OKAY. IF HAVE SOLD PROJECTORS IN A HIGH END SHOP COSTING 5X THIS PROJECTOR AND I WOULD SAVE THE MONEY AND GET THIS PROJECTOR.

First Impression
Pros: No RBE observed Bright, even with some indirect light in room, definitely watchable (using Dalite Mod. B HCMW, 1.2 gain) Great alternative to HDTV Less environmental impact - 170w consumption in low mode Quiet fan - not all that noticeable
Cons: None so far!
Other Thoughts: This is an upgrade from my dead IF X1, which had served me faithfully for the last 6 years. I've been a HT enthusiast for that same amount of time, and am an active member of the AVS Forum. So you could say I've done the research and have reviewed countless threads and scoured different feedbacks and recommendations from other like-minded enthusiasts. If you are not sensitive to RBE (only a small percentage of people are), definitely consider this PJ - way cheaper than getting a box HDTV, and you get a bigger picture. Some HT enthusiasts and pros consider 90"+ the minimum standard to get that home theater environment, and you just can't get that with a box HDTV (at least not most of us blue-collar types)...Also, some consider 720p at further than approx. 10' to be similar enough to 1080p that you might as well save some money and go 720p. Happy Hunting, it's all worth it!

Happy with Purchase
Pros: Good price, excellent picture and easy to hookup and use.
I have this projector installed in my walk out basement with some external light and about 11ft from my screen. I purchased with an universal mounting system and it works great. I am using HDMI to a AV received to do my source switching and control.
Cons: Not 1080p, and could always be brighter in sunlight or dark scenes.
Other Thoughts: Works fine projecting on a wall, but wall must be smooth and have a good light grey flat paint.

everybody wants one
Pros: PS3, Xbox360...you would think 110in screen would help you out, but its a little adjusting to get used to 4x8ft screen 12 feet in front of you. other then that the colors are better then most LCDs as long as its dark in the room, because the screen can only be as dark as it is in the room.
Cons: the refresh rate is not as nice as i hoped...but its still bad@ss, im just real picky.
Other Thoughts: 720p is tight but it also will support 1080i. so bluray and HD gaming is all a go! for the price...there is really no room for complaining for the kind of quality picture this beauty puts out.

Own the HC1000 (predecessor)
Pros: Similar to a previous user, I bought a HC1000 from Newegg. I had about 2200 hours on the bulb, mostly on econ mode, before I got the replacement warning. New bulb was about $270, but I have gone another 2 months and its still going strong.. It is ceiling mounted, 125" screen, utilizing a PS3, 360, and Wii for sports, movies, and gaming; all are amazing. I have never gotten a complaint and people go nuts when they hear how economical this solution is. If you have the room for it, go for it. I also used it for my wedding reception - and subsidized funds for it from the wedding fund!
Cons: It's best in a dark room. Normal mode allows for open windows without much wash-out. Drop the shades and you're set in economy mode.
1080i is not great for a PC; you may find yourself disappointed with ANY 1080i solution.
Other Thoughts: BEST electronics purchase I ever made.

best price/performance
Pros: I got this last week when it was on sale, and couldn't be happier. The only downside is the 3000 hour limit on the bulb, which after only a week of use I've put a major dent in at ~80 hours. I've watched a LOT of movies so far, and am extremely impressed in this projector...colors are great, and even though its natively 720p, you can easily change it to 1920x1080 on a computer.
Cons: There is a 2x color wheel on this projector, which can cause problems to people susceptible to 'the rainbow effect". The distance I'd have to put the projector away from the wall to achieve the size I'd prefer is impossible, but I guess we'd all like bigger screens :-P
Other Thoughts: Great projector if you can get it on sale. Otherwise, still a very good projector, but it puts it in the range of some other competitors now...so choose wisely.

Great Projector for a great price
Pros: This projector throws a great image at 720p. Its very bright and lights up the room when displaying a bright picture. Even when the room is not as dark as it could be this baby still pushes out enough lumens to get a crisp clear picture. I do not see any of the rainbow effects that other people complain of at all. I use this bad boy mostly for gaming on my Xbox 360 and PS3 and for the price you cannot beat the picture quality this projector pushes out at 160 inches!! I would recommend this projector to anyone looking for a budget projector that throws a very nice HD image. My FIOS HD TV also looks fantastic. There are 4 people in the house that use this projector, not one of them has ever had a complaint about rainbow effects or anything for that matter. All around great buy.
Cons: The lamp will have to be replaced at some point, sooner then later cause this thing get a lot of use. For this unit they run around $220, not bad compared to most.
Other Thoughts: If you looking to buy a good HD projector for a good price, your search is over..

Great if you cant see rainbows 2x color wheel makes it more lilley you will
Pros: Great picture really pops great colors as well
Newegg is going to let me return it
Cons: Fricking rainbow artifacts ruined it for me have to return it which is a dieing shame I really liked everything else but its to severe for me to ignore. Due yourselve a favor and read proffesional reviews which mention this issue the 2x color will it was just me either everyone in my house could see the rainbow effect. I
Other Thoughts: Try to view this baby in a store before buying it will save you some agravation. Ive opted to get an Optoma hd65 as it has 4x color wheel and better reviews although the price is more than I wanted to pay. The hc1600 would be perfect if I didnt see rainbows in all white objects.

Awesome!
Pros: I traded in my Optima 719 for this projector. I am running 1280x1080 in Windows. It looks fantastic on the projector through VGA. I haven't tried HDMI. I use it on Media Center, Wii, and DVD player. Even my sling box looked sweet full screen. The throw was exactly as calculated on their website tool, which was better than my optima. The colors are so much more vivid than my old projector that had problems on skin tone. As others have said running on economy mode is little difference from the regular, and saves the bulb. I liked the feet... my other projector didn't have feet that extended as much, so this one did well. I am projecting from about 13 feet from the wall and fill up my 100 inch screen perfectly with a little zoom. All in all it is much quieter than my other projector. Media center looks great on the HD channels. I love the colors, it beats the heck out of my old projector. I wish the lamps were the 4k to 5k ones... oh well.
Cons: The only possible con I can think of is the fan kind of 'switches modes' it is hard to explain, but it sounds as if there are little brownouts of power where the fan kind of wheezes down a little and then spins back up... it is more distracting than if it just stayed on full blast... I assume it is a smart fan technology. I had to cut the lens cap off too, it didn't seem to have a way to remove it and it doesn't have a long enough cord to keep it completely out of the way.
Other Thoughts: I can't understand UPS, they will require a signature and make it impossible to try to get a 2 dollar cord, and this morning this UPS guy just dropped the projector and cables on the porch and rang the doorbell... It makes no sense why they leave some stuff and other stuff they don't.
If you are debating on this projector, don't, just get it. I read all over and went to many places looking for a good HD projector and settled on this one, no regrets. As for the complaints about the color wheel speed, I can't see anything except a fantastic picture... so I am not worried about it.

Great Proj for the Lodge
Pros: Great price for this machine. I would say it performs as well as a lot of the projectors going for $500 to $1000 more. The picture is very bright, and low-lamp mode is still bright enough and cuts down on noise (which isn't that bad to begin with). It's a whole different experience to play video games on a huge screen, and it's also cool to have an in-home theater. I have used other higher-end projectors and found this to be a great value for my media center setup.
Cons: Obtaining a replacement bulb may take a while, so it might be a good idea to have one on hand before the first one burns out.
Other Thoughts: I did months and months of comparison shopping before I chose this projector, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Very Good Projector
Pros: Nice Higher-end Projector. I have mine setup on a wall mount, about 10ft from the screen, I get about a 80" screen. If it could be about 15ft from the wall, i guess it would be about 120"~. Ive only connected the VGA so far to my HTPC, but the picture is great, and Im shooting on a white wall w/minimal texture, no screen.
Easy onscreen menu to adjust settings, and remote is to use and switch between inputs. The is almost no difference between the brightness settings, so go with econo mode, and get an extra 1000hrs of it.
Cons: None really, only that I wish I could get a bit bigger screen, but if I could set the projector further back, that would solve the issue. A short throw projector would also do this, but the quality would be less. Otherwise no grips at all.
Other Thoughts: My bedroom is pretty dark. however, I have had a blind open or 2 lamps on in the room, and still been able to see the picture fine. Not much wash out. If your in the market for a nice, high end, projector with multiple inputs, including HDMI and Component, you cant go wrong with this.

Excellent Home Theater
Pros: great item for the price. HD is almost perfect even with my 135" screen.
Cons: none yet.
Other Thoughts: Make sure when you buy you measure distance from where you are going to have your projector and your screen. I only wanted a 100" screen & had to go bigger because the projected screen was too large at the smallest setting.

Awesome for the money
Pros: I have been using the predecessor to this unit, the HD1000U since August 2007. I have it ceiling mounted (upside down of course) 13.5 feet from the wall, which gives a 120" diagonal screen. Everyone who is invited over is amazed at the picture quality and color depth, it's really great. I didn't buy a screen, I used Projector Goo paint to paint a screen on the wall. This is absolutely the way to go! $350.00 for the kit to paint this size screen, and it's better than the best screen available. I finished it off by hot gluing a black felt border around the edges, and a motorized screen curtain.
Cons: None!!
Other Thoughts: I began getting the message that the lamp needs to be replaced in October 08. I ordered a replacement bulb for $269.00, but the original is still working as of 03/09, so apparently they give you a lot of warning. I have approximately 3500 hours on it now, it was originally rated at 2500 hours. The message goes off the screen after a few seconds, so I'm not replacing the lamp til I have to.

Great, but not for HDMI
Pros: Great projector. Very bright, no screen door effect, sharp image. Looks brilliant when playing console games on component cable.
Cons: Doesn't play nice with all HDMI devices. I tried sending an HDMI signal from my DVD player/sound system, and the projector displays only a black screen. Also, be careful if using an unshielded composite cable (such as if you have a VCR or DVR) as the antenna signal may cause interference. I was getting horizontal lines that would slowly move up the screen until I unplugged the coaxial cable from the wall.
Other Thoughts: I mounted this projector to the ceiling approx 10 ft from the viewing wall. I don't have a screen or anything, but just throwing the image onto the lightly textured wall looks great. A note on ceiling mounts: this projector has keystone adjustment, but you shouldn't use it as the image gets fuzzy at the edges if you do. Also, this projector doesn't have lens tilt, so where you mount it must be directly centered on where you want the image, otherwise you'll have a trapezoidal image. I'd suggest springing for a more expensive ceiling mount that allows some lateral adjustment (a track method) rather than a simple universal joint bolted to the ceiling.

Best projector for the price
Pros: First off, it's HD... 720p/1080i. It has an amazing picture. It's pretty cheap when compared to other HD projectors. The contrast levels are great, as well as the bightness/illumens... it is a good balance btwn these two (usually it's a trade-off, one for the other).
Cons: You have to replace the bulb, but unless you plan on leaving this thing on all night and day... it will take you a long time to reach the 4k/5k hours or whatever it takes for that bulb to run out...
Other Thoughts: Well i really did my research prior to buying this projector. I decided on getting an HD projector over a 40 some inch LCD and I am so glad I went this route. The room is approx 15x12. It's actually in my living room and I got some blackout curtains to cover up the light. It's probably a 8 ft. x 5 1/2 ft. throw and crystal clear. The projection is on an off white wall. I'm running my xbox 360 and my comcast cable box via component cables to the projector and it looks fantastic.
I do not rec. using this projector for a vga connection because there is a serious difference in picture.

Excellent buy
Pros: Sharp and bright, and you can't beat this price for an HD projector. My PS3 never looked better.
Cons: It gets a bit hot, but since I'm new to projectors, this might be normal. The fan remains on for a few minutes after I turn it off -- this isn't a con necessarily, but just shows the measure of heat this thing needs to dissipate.

great projector for under 900$
Pros: - great picture, black levels - hidef movies look awesome! - lots of customizable settings - set up with an universal ceiling mount and the picture looks perfect; compared to the non- HD projector we used before this is 100% improvement - have used with wii, ps2, dvd, PC and everything looks perfect
Cons: - rainbow effect noticeable if you move a lot while looking at the screen; not so much if you are just watching from the couch - positioning of the projector must be done with care; does not have a short throw lens like a lot of projectors out there; just take care while doing it and youll be fine
Other Thoughts: great projector for a great price!

Pros: Great projector. Best you can get in the price range, especially now with the rebate and replacement lamp. No other brand can touch that.
Cons: Not super bright for daytime viewing, but most people's movie room is dark anyway.
Other Thoughts: For the reviewer that marked down the PC use. It is Home Theater projector, from Mitsu's home theater line. It is not marketed or built as a business presentation projector.

Good projector, bad bulbs
Pros: Pretty good for the money. No problem hooking up to HD cable box. Awesome throw side to side. Some have said the fan is loud, but I hardly notice. When it's on, so is the surround sound. It's never distracted me during a movie or TV watching. Every connection known to man on the back. Simple to understand menu and the remote has space between the buttons for fat fingered cavemen like myself.
Cons: Bought In September. 147 Hrs. on bulb. Watching Discovery Channel and the thing literally explodes. I could even hear glass bouncing around inside the cabinet. Mmmm... I love the smell of mercury vapor in the morning. Smells like 300 bucks. My local dealer for warranty is a big box store. You know the one, big price tag, bad service. They don't carry the bulb or the projector in store. Was told it could be 2-3 months for a warranty bulb. Wow!
It's not neweggs fault, (ordering the bulb today from them), just don't be fooled into thinking name brand will get you better service or parts availability locally.
Other Thoughts: Newegg is still my first choice for electronics.

Good projector bad software
Pros: First off, when playing with my Wii using HDMI it plays great.
Cons: However, I also use a PC for media. But if I try to set it to native resolution then it tends to die out. I looked on mitsubishi's website for a driver but there is none. Before I had a Sony projector and never had any of these recognition problems so it makes me wonder about Mitsubishi's commitment to quality
Other Thoughts: Better for home theater than computer use.

Great Projector For Games and Movies
Pros: This projector is great for both my PS3 and for watching Blu-Rays. I was worried that there might be lag on games, but I can't notice any (I'm a PC gamer, so I'd notice if there was any lag at all). And Blu-Ray videos look great on it.
Cons: Keep in mind that it's expensive to replace the bulbs on projectors.

Good Home Theather Projector
Pros: Great picture quality. Huge amount of inputs and they all work in HQ. Intuitive remote.
Cons: Just a little loud fan for my taste.
Other Thoughts: It is a great projector for huge rooms and exteriors.
It is overrated for my living room. I can't get a huge image since this is a standart throw projector so the increased resolution is of barely no use for me.
A short-throw 800x600 projector would be much better choice for a living room.

High Quality-Low Budget
Pros: Extremely great projector. I play my xbox 360 on it and its really clear with the component cable connection. I have also connected it to my Blue-Ray player and watched a movie which was amazing.
Cons: Its not a short throw projector. You have to be in a room thats longer than 10 ft if you want a screen thats bigger than 62 inches, but thats to be expected with all projectors that arent short throw.
Other Thoughts: I wish I would have just bought this before my 42 inch LCD, which I paid $1100 dollars for. If your thinking of buying a TV why spend a few hundred dollars more and have a smaller screen. Newegg shipping rocks! Got this overseas in 1 week.

Best Home Theater Projector
Pros: This projector worked great out of the box, we have a media screen painted on a wall (Approx 115in corner to corner) and it filled the screen perfect mounted upside down from our mouting brackets. After setting keystone and brightness settings and plugging it into a Media PC we were good to go.
Cons: The remote has a separate on/off button which really sucks.
Upside down mounting was not easy as it should have been, odd thread pitch and sizes for the screws and odd positions. We fabricated our own mount and had to make new holes.
Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this projector to anyone who is either doing a DIY HTPC or home theater, the 720 & 1080 content looks great, colors are great, doesn't wash out as bad as our other projectors did with light in the room, etc. Worth every penny if your considering getting into projectors or upgrading your current equipment.

Pros: This is a good projector and the price for it was very good. only like 890$ for me.
Cons: LOL...Read the Fine print i got this projector and it doesn't have a way to put speakers in it. so their is no way im buying cable while i only have this in the house also.. I've had for 6 months and the bulb burnt out...395$ to replace it thru the company. i got it from this site for 320$. NEWEGG RULES.
Other Thoughts: WTB SPEAKER JACK

Great Price/Great Projector
Pros: Bright low cost HD projector. Easy to install. I sit right under it and it is very quiet at low lamp setting. A bit louder on standard lamp setting but still not loud. Excellent picture and easy to use controls.
Cons: Only 720p. Limited connections. Would love multiple HDMI and/or Component. I bought a switch box with a remote to get around this.
Other Thoughts: I have a window right next to the screen and this projector is bright enough on standard lamp setting that I can keep the curtains open watching football. There are several settings such as theater, sports, ... that make view settings easy.

Best purchase....EVER
Pros: I ordered this projector thinking it might not be all that nice, but nonetheless a good starter projector. After I bought it I realized that I didn't have anything to play HD content, so I bought a PS3 also. I was so shocked that it actually works so well. My house has white walls so no need for a screen. My current setup has my screen at 145". The best thing that I learned researching before I bought this is that it can do 1080i, and it looks GREAT. The brightness is okay at high setting to watch during the day with the curtians closed. At night though it looks like you are in a movie theater.
Cons: The only Con I can think of is that it has a weird angle. Meaning that I have to tilt the back end up and it looks weird but is not noticable once the adjustments are made. Is still rocks regardless.
Other Thoughts: Get some dark curtains. Why spend $2000+ on a tv that is not even half this size? I personally will never go back to a TV, at least for the living room. For the price, I do not see paying $2000+ for a 1080P projector when you could have one for living and one for your bedroom at that price. It is black and fits nicely with the room, white would stand out too much.

HC1600, Great Economical Projector for the Average User
Pros: It is really really tough to get a better projector than this for this price. Between the sound system that I purchased, and this projector, I only spent $1175, which is cheaper than almost all LCD or plasma displays that you'll find today for anywhere close to the size display you get out of this projector. I'm currently projecting approx. 9' across my living room and my screen diagonal measures 82" and horizontal measures 66". The average user, or even the experienced projector consumer will not be disappointed if you're looking for an economical projector to watch TV and play games on.
Cons: Haven't owned it for very long, so I can't say if it's stood the test of time yet, but this isn't necessary a con, just an unknown at the moment.
My other projectors have had a better throw ratio, but I'm not really disappointed considering the price of the projector. Don't let this dissuade you! It's a great projector!
The only downside (which applies to any projector) is you have to mount it up high so you don't walk in front of the image. I just put up a simple shelf 10' up on the wall and turned the projector upside down. The menu has really really simple display adjustments and I just flipped the screen orientation and it looks beautiful.
Other Thoughts: I've owned 3 projectors over the past 4 years. The last two were BenQ's and they were both stellar. I was afraid to go with another brand, but BenQ's current selection really didn't fit my usage and price range well. I use this projector for HD TV and laptop movie viewing, but mostly for gaming. 720p looks great at 82", even though component. You won't regret this purchase if you're looking for a low priced projector that can handle HDMI. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Super Duper Projector!
Pros: Way nice picture! Better than I expected or anyone in my family expected. They come in my room to watch movies on my wall all the time. My wall color is off white, kind of cream color and the picture is great. Plugged into my computer with a 25 ft. vga cable. It's fairly quiet too. Have it right on my night stand next to my bed so it's right next to me and the fan noise doesn't distract. Digital Keystone is a nice feature and the picture is still great when keystone correction is used, and also good picture in low lamp mode. Couldn't be happier, especially for the price of this projector. A definate good buy!
Cons: lens shift would be nice, but as said, keystone correction works nicely. the little front adjustment peg on the front of the projector to tilt it up is kinda weak...doesn't raise it much compared to other projector models I have seen.
Other Thoughts: Overall, great projector for the price. So happy with the purchase. definitely recommend it to anyone. May not be as easy to place as some other projectors with lens shift, but with a little creativity, everything will work out nicely. You won't regret it. just get it! i was a little worried about getting it since all the good reviews were for the HC1500, but i figured this projector wouldn't be much different and i don't think it is, and it's just great!
