Great Buy
Pros: This is a beautiful monitor. The stand, the pivot functions and the rotation all work great. The screen is bright and the value is unbeatable. No dead pixels.
Cons: When the screen is black, like on the desktop with no wallpaper, the contrast is messed up in the corners... gets slightly brighter. Some overall contrast/gamma issues. Ran a couple setup calibration tests, and found it difficult to get to correct contrast with a decent brightness. Also didn't receive pivot software. Not hard using a shortcut on the keyboard, or quick nVidia controls, but other pivot monitors rotate the display when the monitor is turned.
Other Thoughts: Although the list of cons seems longer, it just needed more explanation. Overall this monitor is a wonderful buy. Next time I need a monitor, it will be a Hanns-G.

Happy For Over a Year.
Pros: Great picture quality. Great resolution. No dead pixels on mine. Pivoting rocks when looking at certain documents, webpages, and pictures of pretty women in skimpy/ or no outfits. Family pictures too... if you care about that kinda stuff.
Cons: Contrast ratio is low. My HDTV has a 15,000:1 contrast ratio. But then again, my HDTV is 40 inches diagonally and well over 1200 dollars. So no problem with the 700:1. Still looks awesome.
Other Thoughts: Make sure your video card can display the monitor's native resolution of 1440x900 before you buy this baby. Its a must do. Also, I use this monitor for both my PC and X BOX 360 gaming. It has 2 plugs: a DVI, and a VGA connection. And I can easily switch between one and the other with a couple of button pressings in between matches. Its pretty tight. I love it.

Pivot gives full screen
Pros: Excellent display. I pivoted the monitor 90 degrees and now have a very good full page screen to do word processing, web pages and all my programs. This really helps me work better.
Cons: At first, you could barely hear the speakers on this monitor. After 2 weeks of playing music and radio through them, the speakers play at an acceptable volume.
Other Thoughts: I first had a full screen monitor many years ago. I'm glad to be able to have it back.

Excellent Monitor!
Pros: Excellent brightness, fast response time, and the height and pivot adjustments make it great to use for anything.
Cons: Speakers are very poor. Had two dead pixels from day one, but well over a year later there are still just the two. The buttons are difficult to access, especially when its in the vertical position.
Other Thoughts: Wonderful monitors, I've seen several other HannsG models in use and they all look perfect.

NIce Monitor
Pros: WOW This monitor is great!!! No dead pixels.
Cons: Not really a con but this monitor is BRIGHT! It just takes a few minutes to adjust it to whatever brightness you like.
Other Thoughts: This is a great monitor especially if you need the up/down adjustments. I was a bit hesitant to buy this brand as I have had no experience with Hanns-G. I read Neweggs customer comments section and it really helped me make my decision. Thanks to all who take the time to do customer reviews, It REALLY DOES HELP!!

Great Product
Pros: Goes great with my product (all black!)
Cons: It seems like if I switch from DVI to VGA and vice versa, the screen resolution will always reset.. There was one stuck pixel, however a little rubbin fixed it
Other Thoughts: Would be better if nVidia allowed me to rotate my monitor screen by pressing Ctrl-Alt-"Direction" instead of opening nVidia Control Panel

Great looking, great pricing...
Pros: Looks really good, very bright. Good size if you don't have a huge amount of space, but still want a large monitor. Cosmetically attractive as well.
Cons: Adjusting height is a little hard, I can't imagine that any other monitors make it easier though...
Other Thoughts: Good brand, good price. Go for it.

Perfect for Price
Pros: Eleven months later and...
It does everything it claims to.
No, none, zero dead pixels.
Widescreen
Stand is very study, dexterous, swivels, and rotates.
Comes with DVI cable.
Built in speakers
Moving images do not ghost
Xbox 360 hooked up via VGA looks incredible!
The chassis design is very classy. No gaudy silver accents. No brand name boasting. Buttons are hidden from view yet convenient and easy to use.
Cons: DVI cable is white... everything else is black, but I'll get over it. ha
Other Thoughts: I <3 Hanns-G and Newegg.

Pros: Works exactly as described. It arrived with the original box packed inside a second box and UPS handled with care. It worked perfect right out of the box no dead/stuck pixels. The picture is AWESOME; clear, bright and sharp. The screen is definitely a really big improvement in size, and quality over my old 14" LCD. The adjustments tilt, pivot, and height work great anre a huge asset to me. Most monitors dont have these adjustments. The base is solid and heavy no way it till tip over. The 1440 x 900 resolution is incredible and I highly recommend this unit. You can't beat this quality and you cant beat this price. I recommend this monitor to everyone, and I would definitely buy additional if needed in the future.
Cons: none at all
Other Thoughts: Included speakers are mediocre, but would hardly consider them a focal point for buying this monitor. Have to upgrade your video card or video card drivers to realize the 1440 x 900 resolution.
Received item in around 3-4 days. New egg is awesome!!

Hans-G
Pros: It works as advertised. It arrived in the original box but UPS handled with care. No dents, bangs, or bruises. It worked perfect right out of the box. It passes the DPT test with no bad or stuck pixels that I can see. The picture is great, bright, sharp, and clear. The screen is really big compared to my old 14" square LCD. Some programs use the whole width, while others scale down to fit. The tilt, pivot, and height adjustments work great. Most LCD's don't have this luxury. The base is solid and heavy enough that I don't have to worry about a flop over. I recommend this unit and the price is right. I would buy again if I had the need.
Cons: Don't count too heavy on the internal speakers; they work but the sound is pretty ugh. The side buttons (black on black) are hard to see, even using a flashlight. I think a small front label, and some whiteout in the button depressions will help. Really, once set, the buttons should not need much attention anyway.
Other Thoughts: The 4 foot cables should be 6 footers for most of us to use comfortably. At least 4 footers are all included (some LCD's come without)

Pretty nice monitor
Pros: Looks sharp and has a good response time. Colors are nice and crisp.
Cons: I'm not crazy about the buttons on the side - they should have at least provided some labels on the front. You have to rotate the monitor to see what you're pressing.
Other Thoughts: I built a budget gaming rig, so the price was right on this monitor. Hard to imagine finding anything much nicer for the price. Would buy again.

Pros: When I got the LCD and saw he screen I thought the 19" screen would be larger. But when I actually turned on the LCD I was quite impressed, because the view seemed larger than expected. I was quite pleased with this LCD so I ordered another one. Great price.
Cons: none for me.

Very nice monitor
Pros: Beautiful monitor. I love it.
Cons: Others have mentioned the control buttons. They are a bit ard to push.
Other Thoughts: I'm using this with video card MSI NX7300LE-TD128EH GeForce 7300LE 128MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card. Chipset is NVIDIA.
I'm on Ubuntu Linux. That video card and this monitor seem to make a good combination on Linux. If you do use Ubuntu Linux and this combo, consider using Envy to configure it:

very nice display
Pros: the display looks great. I agree with most of the other reviews here that this is a good deal and good quality. comes with DVI and VGA cables, depending on what you need.
Cons: config buttons on the side is awkward, but once you get it config'd you don't have to deal with it anymore.
Other Thoughts: I'm really tempted to buy a second one!

Great purchase
Pros: Hooked up this monitor to both my Windows computer and my Linux box (Ubuntu 7.10); picture is very crisp/clear. I primarily use it on my Linux computer and configuring the resolution for the monitor was a breeze. Adjustable height is primarily the main reason I purchased this monitor, and it works just as I expected it.
Cons: Speakers are pretty weak, but a speaker option is better than no speaker option.
Other Thoughts: I would buy another one if I needed another monitor, and would also recommend it for my friends.

Sexy
Pros: This is a really great looking monitor. Nice and big with great rotation. No problems or dead pixels once I turned everything on.
Cons: Like a lot of people have said, the buttons on the side are annoying...but whatever, you never really use them.
Other Thoughts: A little bright once you turn it on, and the volume is so soft you can't hear much...a few minutes with the controls fixed everything.

great buy!
Pros: Its bright, very bright! Crisp colors and man what a view! watching movies on it is great! that 90 degree rotation feature is awesome as well!
Cons: Like the previous guy stated the controls are on the side of the lcd which is kind of a awkward reach, and pressing those little things is more of a pain, the buttons kind of sink below the surface area if you understand what i'm talk about.

HannsG is ok...
Pros: Good price. Adjustable height is nice. Stand feels pretty solid. No DP's.
Cons: Controls are placed on side of monitor panel. Not exactly easy to use/adjust. Preset coloring is bad so you have to use the controls to get a decent color going.

Great for editorial work!
Pros: The fact that this monitor rotates 90 degrees makes it ideal for editorial work. I can view the entire PDF I am editing on one screen!

One of the nicest monitors in it's class
Pros: I decided to purchase this monitor after comparing it with similar models since it had DVI cables already included. Hanns-G seems like a relatively new brand that is really holding it's own, I'd definitely purchase another Hanns-G product.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I can only go up to 1024x768 pixels due to my dated graphics hardware, no problem though since that's the standard anyway.

Even Better Than 192DJB
Pros: Even brighter than any LCD monitor that I've used and I have the brightness turned down. Very quick response while playing high frame rate games.
Cons: The only thing is the speaker but I didn't buy this for the speakers.
Other Thoughts: New Egg rocks, last order shipped from all over the country. Parts from CA, TN, NJ and all for two days it was Christmas for me. Love It Just love it.

Beautiful Product
Pros: Great price, size, picture quality. Screen rotation is very helpful. No dead pixels. Just perfect.
Cons: Why does every product you buy come with short cables? Te monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse aren't going to be sitting directly on top of the tower... Had to go out to the store to pick up a 6ft DVI cable, and it was pricey.
Other Thoughts: As far as the speakers and buttons...I only need to touch the buttons once a month to calibrate, and I don't need stellar sound.

Great Buy
Pros: I am very happy with this monitor. Wonderful size, excellent picture & bright screen. VGA and DVI ports are very handy for viewing 2 computers. Built in speakers meet the very basic needs. The adjustable pivot, tilt & height is a wonderful feature! No dead pixels!
Cons: Not many - Built in speakers are obviously not intended for any serious listening - but that's what you buy speakers for. Buttons on the side are a little silly, but you typically only use the power button on a regular basis.

Great Value
Pros: The adjustable height is a great feature and makes my world much more comfortable. The image quality is excellent, and the viewing angle is much better than my old Acer.
Cons: The button placement on the side is horrible. But as other reviewers have noted, it's not something which I'll have to interact with very often. The stability of the stand could be slightly better, but it's not too bad.
Other Thoughts: I had one dead pixel, but that's not a big deal.

Amazing monitor
Pros: Great size, great res, very bright, the pivot adjustments are a plus. The dual VGA and DVI ports are great for hooking up my old comp and my new one to, as I try to get my new one to work.
Cons: The power and menu buttons are on the side panel, which make it awkward at first, but I got used to it. Not really a con, but for some reason, when I play BF2, I have a single dead pixel in the middle of my screen when I die, but when I respawn it goes away. Doesn't pop up at any other times either.
Other Thoughts: When I was buying this, I was hesitant on going with a company that wasn't very well known, But I got this for less than a ViewSonic, which is the other monitor I was looking at.

Excellent Monitor
Pros: Great brightness and contrast. Bought 2 and they arrived with no dead pixels. Works well for gaming. Play BF2 frequently without any ghosting. Height, tilt & pivot adjustments are the reason I bought these monitors. Price is also extremely reasonable.
Cons: Noticeable backlight bleeding on top and bottom of monitor.
Other Thoughts: Wish they were shipped with an exterior box but oh well.

Good, but not what I expected
Pros: Pivot, Tilt & Height work good. For business purposes, the display quality is excellent.
Cons: I should have thought of this, but the ratio is such that when you pivot the monitor, it's too tall to represent a page well. My goal was that my DTP users could rotate it to page size, but the wide screen seems wider than most. It could be perception, but it's not the right ratio for that. Other than that it's well worth the money.
Other Thoughts: I haven't used these with any motion based applications, so I don't know how it would be for gaming or movies. I think I like the more trapezoidal base of the 199 series. All these stands make me nervous, though. In the past year I've purchased >40 LCDs for my company, spanning a dozen brands and I've settled on Hanns-G and View$onic for consistency. BTW, a lot of people complain about dead pixels. I've noticed in all those monitors maybe 6-10 stuck or dead. Never had a DOA. Got 1 $am$ung that has stuck lines after 1 year. If the package looks at all damaged when you get it, take pictures.

Fantastic Monitors
Pros: This is a fantastic monitor. I switched from two 17" CRT's to two of these. I got zero dead pixels on either of them and the screens look gorgeous. I specifically bought these so I could rotate them to portrait for coding and they work great. They spin easily but kind of pop into place so you don't have to fine tune the angle. The height adjustment is very easy too (there's a small button on the back of the base you have to press, it took me a few minutes to find it...) Some people have complained about the buttons being on the side but I think that's best. Once I've setup the monitor I rarely adjust anything. With the buttons on the side, the frame is thinner and makes the screens look better and less bulky.
Cons: No cons yet. They're performing great. Don't hesitate to buy one, or two, like me. ;)
Other Thoughts: Why are people saying that a monitor being too bright is a con? That's a pro! Turn it down a little if you need to. Would you rather it not be bright enough? Also, I don't care about the speakers so I didn't test them but they are on the rear of the monitor where you can't see them anyway. That's the best place for them so they're out of the way for most people. Who honestly expects monitor speakers to sound good?

Decent Monitor
Pros: Great options/settings and great color/brightness. Works perfectly, I have two of these side by side on my new machine and its great for watching movies on one and playing a game on the other simultaneously! :)
Cons: Higher end games at the highest settings you will see *very* minimal lines or a tear or two. Nothing that affects gameplay or video viewing though.
Other Thoughts: I bought my two Hanns's back when they were 50 bucks cheaper... GOOD BUY!

excellent monitor
Pros: at first when i hooked it up and turned it on, it had a bunch of stuck pixels all over the place. Then I realized it was just one of my connections was loose and after I installed the driver and restarted, it worked beautifully! No ghosting on games at all, excellent bright colors for photo work and digital manipulations. The screen real estate is unbelievable!!!! The ability to rotate the screen 360 degrees is pretty cool, but unless your graphics card supports this feature, you can't use it because it doesn't come pre loaded with the driver software. This thing just rocks and could easily be sold for $100 more.
Cons: Well, I don't care much for Newegg shipping in the packaging from the factory, but everything arrived in excellent condition. The only real gripe I have with this purchase is that UPS Guaranteed 3rd Day sucked. I work 3rd shift and sleep during the day and they didn't arrive until almost 4 pm, well after my bedtime. But I could have ponied up some extra dough to make sure it got here sooner :(
Other Thoughts: This is the final piece to my first build. I have been waiting until I could afford this thing.
ASUS M2N - SLI Deluxe, AMD Athlon X2 4400+ Brisbane, 2GB Patriot DDR2 800MHz, 160 GB WD SATA drive, 250 GB WD drive, 160 GB external drive by Lacie, 512MB ATI Radeon X1300, APEVIA X-CRUISER-BL case. Soon I'll be adding another 1/2 TB of SATA storage and some more cooling upgrades.

Great pivoting widescreen LCD
Pros: No dead pixels and No ghosting when playing 3D games. Very bright. I especially love the pivoting feature which is great for editing portrait pictures and documents. Rotating screen is very smooth and easy.
Cons: I did not receive pivoting software CD, which is included in the package content list. If it wasn't for this problem I would give 5 eggs for this monitor without hesitation. Fortunately my NVIDIA settings software supported the rotation feature.
Other Thoughts: As far as I know, this is the greatest deal for a 19' rotating widescreen LCD monitor.

Not Bad....
Pros: ...for the price! I gotta say, I've had this monitor since just before Christmas '06 and I wanted to wait and get good use out of if before writing a review. Since then, I've had no problems as all. It's very bright, adjustable and has VGA if you still have older cards with only VGA connections. Also comes with DVI connection as well.
Cons: Very bright! Could be a lil too bright at times. Especially at around 2am when I'm sitting in a dark room working. The buttons could have been placed in a better location.
Other Thoughts: I did see a dead pixel after my 3rd day with it, but that went away. Not sure how, but it did. As I said about the buttons being in a better location. I think this was done like this to keep them out of site and give it better appearance.

Totally Amazing
Pros: No dead pixels, sharp colors, gotta love height adjustments.
Cons: Uhm, could improve the buttons on the right side of the monitors. Kinda hard to adjust stuffs. I have short nails you know. Fix that and I will give you 5 stars.
Other Thoughts: Didn't even bother testing the speakers, I am buying the monitor, not the speakers.

Good value
Pros: No dead pixels. Good brightness & contrast. Adjustable tilt/height. DVI input.
Cons: The built in speakers really suck; my headphones are louder than these. However, some speakers are better than no speakers especially when they're tucked away in the back of the display. Quiet speakers are also good for office environments.

EggCellent
Pros: Huge Screen i love watching movies and looking at family photos with this screen. Haven't tried gaming yet though. Definatly worth the money. Pivot and hieght adjustments are a breeze and require no tools.
Cons: As everyone else stated. VerY BRIGHT out of the box. Enough to give you a seizure *spelling*. A little adjustments and runs like a champ.
Other Thoughts: Would definatly suggest buying more then 1. Or wait awhile for price drop. And as the last few people suggest. better have a good video card with a dvi to get the best out of this monitor.

WOW!
Pros: Good quality. Very clear and very bright, rotates, games look AWESOME, the detail and clarity are wonderful. Webpages are huge now. I highly reccomend this monitor. NO dead pixels or color varience. Adujsts every way you could want, very easy to get in a comfortable viewing angle. Can be seen well from a wide range also, if you want to watch a movie on it. Easy installation. Plugged the monitor in, loaded the CD, and installed the driver for the resolution. Took me MAYBE 15 minutes from time I took it out of the box till I had it running, and that was only because I had a hard time finding a screwdriver to use on the base.
Cons: Came very bright from the factory. Had to adjust brightness, and buttons can be very confusing unless you're looking right at them... which are on the side... where you can't look directly at the monitor. Does not like to run in any other resolution than 1400x900, in any other resolution it's very grainy and distorted sometimes.
Other Thoughts: Make sure your video card can run this resolution... especially if you game. I'm going to have to buy a new video card. I'm only getting 10-15 fps in WoW... opposed to 20-30 on my old 17 inch at 1024x768. Granted my video card is a XFX Geforce 5500... but I bought it about a year ago. I didn't think I was going to have to upgrade JUST yet.

Pros: Its big, the picture is sharp and bright, its glossy.
Cons: The sound is bad, the cap thingy on the base seems likes its gonna fall off.
Other Thoughts: This is my first lcd screen, I'm a gamer but unfortunately i cannot play @ full res due to my vid card, im gonna buy an 8800gts640mb anytime soon, so mebe i can pwn sum nubz anytyme s00n at full res so i can take real advantage of this screen. D:!

I love 'em
Pros: Hight and pivot adjustments, solid base, sleek design, very portable
Cons: I have two side by side, and with the buttons on the side i have to move a monitor to get access to the power button on the side. not a big deal... generally i have them oriented to have one rotated 90 degrees so I can read more code when I'm coding, and the other stays normal to read any information i need to have up, or watch tv while is surf the web...
oh ya built in speakers suck unless all your using it for is an instant message beep...
Other Thoughts: I love these monitors, I straight up bought 2, low power consumption (55 watts each) lets me use both in a power outage with my UPS without significantly lowering my battery life.

Very happy with product
Pros: Height and pivot are nice to have for my home because at any time there may be multiple kids needing to view and it makes it easier for them to share the view.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: No dead pixels. I also don't really like how newegg ships the original box without an exterior box, but if they started doing that we would be the ones paying the bill for those boxes and i'm sure we all love newegg's low prices. My wife got this for me for christmas as a suprise. I wasn't expecting it, but it was a welcome addition to go along with the 7600gt i had just purchased after my 9800pro bit the dust. I am loving my online gaming now with this monitor because both of my main games have widescreen resolutions, world of warcraft and counterstrike:source. If you don't care anything about the height/pivot then those versions of this monitor without it seem like a steal at the prices they are listed for. I had told my wife that she should have just gotten one of the cheaper ones, but after having the height/pivot i'm glad we got this one.

Pros: Sleek, adjustable height and angle, price.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: This is a sleek monitor for those who don't like bulky speakers or controls on the front. The picture quality is bright and crisp and there are no dead pixels that I can see.

Pros: Fantastic Monitor. Jumping from a 17" square to a 19" wide makes a huge difference. The screen real estate is excellent. Colors are vivid and sharp. Movies look awesome. I did not have to play with settings, except for brightness - just dropped a bit. Except for brightness, factory default was fine. NO dead or stuck pixels. The stand is a nice feature too. Screen positioning is smooth and easy. I did not hook up speakers as I run 5.1 surround sound. Highly recommended! And of course, Newegg was right on target with shipping, only one day after ordering and my order was placed after hours EST. Way to go Newegg!
Cons: Screen setting adjustment button location is a little awkward and hard to press, however their location is out of the way and does not distract from viewing. Shipped in original manufacturer packaging and box was not taped sealed.

PERFECTION
Pros: This is the perfect monitor. Everything about it is awsome. No dead pixels. Height and pivot. Built in speakers. VGA+DVI connectors. Sharp picture qulity. 10" widescreen ! cant be beat for this price and the quality.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: as always newegg rocks
buttons could have been on the front but I rarely adjust anything so I wont count it as a con, I can live with it ;)

Great monitor!
Pros: Huge, wide screen, beautiful color and picture quality, perfect for watching movies or other high res video from up close to approximately 8 feet away. This monitor also gives you a large amount of desktop space, excellent for multitasking or writing code. Very adjustable neck and base, no quality problems. Looks fabulous on a desk.
Cons: Buttons for adjusting video settings are on side of screen and awkward to manipulate. That's a pretty insignificant problem unless you're into changing your contrast, brightness, or screen geometry on a daily basis.
Other Thoughts: Newegg's service was excellent as usual. I'm currently running two of these in a dual monitor setup, which is incredible, if admittedly excessive.
