Moved from a MX Revolution
Pros: Moving to the MX Air seemed hard after using the MX and VX Revolution but the features the MX Air provides are amazing and worth every penny. I do alot of presentations and works amazing on PowerPoint's.
Cons: I miss the physical wheel of the MX and VX Revolution but the MX Air takes a few days to get used to.
Other Thoughts: Best mice iv ever used.

ok, but could be better
Pros: Works in the air pretty well once the sensitivity settings are lowered, but the programmable buttons need to be reprogrammed at each reboot, that may just be my system, I have a lot of typical "extras" turned off.
Cons: It does not work on motion sensing as I had expected. i.e. you move it right, the mouse goes right, it works on angle sensing, it has to be tipped left/right up/down, it senses where it is pointed, not motions made with it if you move you whole arm, I hope that makes sense. I guess this could be gotten used to, but it bugged me.
Other Thoughts: I ended up returning it (thank you newegg), this device defiantly has it's place as useful for some people, it was just not what I wanted.

Great for HTPC
Pros: The biggest and best thing about it is of course that it doesn't require a surface to move the mouse cursor (you can do it in the air). I feel that the way this is set up is actually better than the wiimote in terms of accuracy. Even using it on the surface with the laser, it is better then other mice I have used. The volume adjustment feature is nice.
Cons: Easily gets dirty. The scroll wheel while interesting isn't great for gaming, although the up/down buttons help this, it can be annoying to accidentally flick across it.
Other Thoughts: For my everyday use this mouse has been excellent. I also use it for gaming and it works well enough.
I don't think for an HTPC you can get a mouse better then this, and I wish they would continue to make mice like this, so I am giving it 5 stars.
I've read the battery drain might not be good, but for a single day use I've never had problems. And the mouse is always responsive (never have issues with it falling asleep and having to wake it up before it responds).
I need to find a good keyboard to go with this mouse.

AIR Mice
Pros: I own the Gyration Brand AirMouse / Keyboard. I have been very impressed with it...great for navigating from across the room. I'm sure this Logitech AirMouse is every bit as good . (My corded pointing device is a Logitech and is nearly 10 yrs. old.)
Cons: It DOES take a bit of practice to get accurate results. A couple of weeks should do it. I don't use the 'gesture' software...but it is available in both brands it seems. NOT for gamers', IMHO.
Other Thoughts: The AirMouse technology is cool and useful. A word of warning: Don't expect to use this gaming. It is GREAT for general web surfing and menu selection though.
Search this site for 'Gyration' to compare.

MX Air
Pros: pretty smooth in the air (somewhat surprised at this) somewhat love & hate the no-wheel scrolling, took a day to get used to it but it's very cool when mastered
Cons: used to the right-handed-specific MX Revolution with the laser sensor on the right side so took a while to get used to a little light for my taste, but it's meant for versatility so understandable
Other Thoughts: got it for $70 in a shell shocker, wouldn't pay any more than that for it

Awesome Mouse
Pros: This mouse is pretty sweet. I can gt up and go to the kitchen and it still works. It's also very fast when using for gaming and such. No regrets about buying this mouse!
Cons: Price. It is a little expensive, and i got it when it was on sale for 90. But if you have the money, buy this mouse! It's worth it!

Awesome...with a couple hiccups
Pros: Does exactly what's it says it does. Distance is great, feels good in the hand, very light weight. Takes a little getting used to at first but it's pretty easy to grasp. Really for htpc use but it works solidly for gaming too, I haven't noticed any cursor lag when playing fps games. Prices vary on this thing pretty widely, snagged mine for a much lower price and got free shipping. Just look around.
Cons: The first issue I had right out of the box was with the signal.... I have an aluminum case and even with the receiver less than three feet away I still had the jumpy cursor. Moved it to the usb on my keyboard and it's smooth as butter. Would probably work on the front of my tower but, who wants a dongle sticking off the front of their case? For a hundred dollar mouse that shouldn't be an issue.
Other Thoughts: This isn't really a problem with the mouse per se, but the volume gesture on the mouse doesn't work correctly with the default sound device. It can still mute/unmute but not change volume level. The solution for this was to disable all sound output devices other than default. This fix works for some but others require multiple sound devices at a time. In that case, you're out of luck. So, technically a SetPoint issue, but the mouse requires SetPoint for gestures to work. Once again, for a hundred bucks it should just work.

Couch Potato
Pros: This mouse is amazing and perfect for a HTPC setup. The sensor is in the tip of the mouse and once you get an understanding on how the mechanics of the mouse work it is so easy to use. The wheel click that mouse makes is not that loud and anoying as described by others.
Cons: The sensor on the mouse's wheel acts up at times and becomes very sensitive when you touch it to scroll up or down, the page flys either all the way up or all the way down and becomes hard to use.
Other Thoughts: Dell Vostro 200 slim. Intel Core2 Duo E4500 2.2GHZ. 4GB ram. 160GB HD. ASUS EAH4550/DI/512MD3 LP Windows 7 Ultimate RC x64 bit.

I can't believe how little I payed!
Pros: Well it is wireless and I cannot believe the sweet price I got at Newegg. Shellshocker! Would not have taken the chance had it not been so cheap.
Setpoint software allows you to change a button's function. There is no forward button or middle mouse buttons, so I used setpoint to change the functions to my liking. So now I have a back, forward, and middle mouse button. As it should be ;) The sel button was the first to be changed (honestly what is the select button for??? you can highlight text just fine with left mouse button). I use forward and back buttons all too often. And I like to use middle mouse button to open links in a new tab.
It's very smooth. Not sure how to say it, but moving the cursor is very easy. It's nice that the cursor becomes bigger, easier to see, when in free-aim mode.
Should you have trouble free-aiming or for whatever reason you wish for 'normal' mouse aim, you can put it on your lap or what have you and use it as a regular laser mouse. Quite nice!
Cons: Considering the button layout; I must say there's too much 'reach' between the lowest and highest button, even the lowest and main (left right) buttons are so far apart that it requires too much thumb reach. An elegant solution may have been to make use of the blank space directly underneath the left and right mouse buttons. So instead of having this column of buttons down the middle, I believe they could and should have made a horizontal arrangement under the left and right mouse buttons. I hope you know what I mean, just look at it.
Other Thoughts: Ran out of pro space so I'll say here that being able to 'freeze' the pointer with a button is very handy (necessary even). You can do this to re-orient the mouse if you find that it's becoming difficult to use. You can also use this function to keep the pointer dead still if you are having trouble clicking on something while pointing at it.
Even if you do pay full price I'd say it's worth it. It's just so much nicer to pay less for things =)
While it is comfortable, I believe it could've been made more so. There is an advantage to this design however, it's ambidextrous.
I'd have liked more buttons to do with as I please. That said, it's still cool that I can change the function of any button that is on there.
I've gamed with it using free aim. Not bad, better than a touch pad. Just saying.
Keep/put your finger on the 'mouse wheel' so you can stop the scrolling once initiated. Took me a while to figure this out. If you just 'spin' it and let go it will keep on scrolling

This Mouse is Magic
Pros: I use a PC as my primary entertainment system but I don't care for the PC compatible universal remotes. The MX Air worked straight out of the box in Windows 7 RC. The default settings are perfect for most applications but for those that don't, SetPoint 4 makes it easy to customize the button functions. I use it eight feet (line of sight) from the sensor and have precision control over the pointer with zero lag time or skipping.
Cons: Works as a desktop mouse but it's shape isn't designed for that orientation. The MX Air is best as a multimedia or presentation mouse.
Other Thoughts: The volume gesture integration works great in Win7 before you install SetPoint but afterwards it only works if you have only one audio output device enabled at a time (doesn't matter which is primary).
In the air you don't use it like a normal mouse nor do you don't need to point it at the screen [or any other specific direction]. Small gestures with your wrist are all it takes and it feels more like a laser pointer or joystick than it does a mouse.
