Cons: Uncomfortable to wear after long periods of time. Also, at times while using MSN messenger or Yahoo it suddenly cut off and stop working until I restart the messenger. Software error. Case Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg	11/12/2007 10:27:08 PM Comfortable Standard Pros: Surprisingly comfortable as most behind-the-head sets I've had were too tight, but these feel great even after a few hours. Perfect mic reproduction, especially with the foam baffle. Crystal clear on Ventrilo. Money well spent. Cons: None that I can find. I got them mainly for voice chat online. Other Thoughts: I use these with an X-Fi Platinum card, which probably helps the recording and playback quality a lot. While I use them for gaming and think they are fine, they are not the best if you're concerned about hearing every little detail. Did you find this review helpful? The headband doesn't clamp down hard on your ears. Cons: The sound.... Well I expected much better from sennheiser. If you try and put the over ear headband behind your ears they will rub them raw since there are some sharp molding edges on the bottome of the headband right where it goes over your ears. If you just set it on top of your ears without putting it behind your ear it will be more comfortable. The switch is kind of moody you have to make sure they it is fully engaged to the on possition as the microphone will not work if not fully engaged. Other Thoughts: Due to my use of professional gear often, my standards were set very high though the sound quality did not meet those expectations it is adequate for most uses. After that time is over it will start to make beeping sounds and die. Also the headset is very uncomfortable to wear. Other Thoughts: Going to buy a self stand microphone from Logitech. Pros: The sound out of these is amazing--much better than any other supra-aural headset I've had. It's very light and flexible, and the behind-the-head design doesn't mess up your hair. The microphone works well too; excellent quality for its size. Cons: Though light and flexible, it is also somewhat flimsy, and gives the impression that it could be easily broken. It also gets somewhat uncomfortable, but only after using them for a long time. Other Thoughts: So far I'm glad I bought these. Pros: From the moment I put these on, I knew this headset was well worth the $30! The sound quality is great for it's price. The volume switch makes things easy when I listen to music. The chord is very long, which is a big plus for me because my computer desktop is pretty far away from where I sit and type on my keyboard. The best part of it though is the way it wraps comfortly around my ears. I'm a bit skeptical about the plastic headphones that wrap behind your head, but these are by far the most comfortable headset that i've ever put on. I can't feel any uncomfortable pressure on the back or top of my ears even after using them for a good 3 hours. I've actually fell asleep on them one night and woke up to find them completely in tact as if they came right out of the box. Cons: It wasn't free. Other than that none! Other Thoughts: Buy this! The microphone is good as well, the flexible boom and flexible headband make it more comfortable to wear versus over-the-head headsets. The build quality is good as well. Cons: Nothing to be overjoyed at, these drivers aren't as clear as a older set of Altec-Lansing headsets I've had. Other Thoughts: No static in the in-line volume control. The speakers don't press against my ears. Durable. Cons: Flimsy plastic. Other Thoughts: The band is very flimsy. This turned out to be blessing in disguise, because most headphones hurt my ears. These headphones don't create much pressure against my ears, so no pain! I can see how some people say the tops of their ears get pinched, but they feel great to me! You won't even be able to notice you're wearing them till you get up and tug the cord in doing so. Boom mic is very clear and loud. Cons: Sadly my mic and right earphone busted after about 6 months of use. It was awesome while it lasted. Never stepped on it, never tugged the cord, never bent it; it just broke. As you would expect, the mic is good quality - easy for them no doubt for their years of high end microphone production. The head set is worn over the ears like a pair of sunglasses and continues around behind the neck. This being the first set like this I've owned, it took a few microseconds to get used to. The sound quality delivered by the earpieces is wonderful and I've had nothing but enjoyment thus far. Light Weight. Good Sound. Cons: Not much bass. The band which also acts as the clips around the ear, HURT due to some sharp edges. I can not tolerate these very long, maybe my ears are just sensitive considering only one other person complained a bit about this. The only other gripe is that the Mic volume seemed a bit low, not a huge issue, though. Other Thoughts: For thirty beans it's a pretty good deal as long as your ears are not as sensitive as mine. A rubber or silicone coating around that part of the band would go a long way and make these really great. Fix the band, add some bass and keep the price and you have a winner. The earpieces fit better and do not pinch the top of my ears like the Logitech's did. The microphone wasn't as sensitive as the other set, but after adjusting my soundcard it works perfectly. The sound quality is definitely an improvement. I can listen to the Howard Stern show while dictating a message via NaturallySpeaking. Nice! Cons: After wearing them for long periods my ears can get a little fatigued. Taking them off for a few minutes and rubbing my ears seems to work and allow me to continue for another few hours. Pros: Amazing sound, i play Day of Defeat 1.3 and with all the gunshots and stuff makes identifying positions through walls very well. Mic is simply amazing works great i have my vent output to 0 and it is still loud :0 an clear. Cons: cheap feel and mic doesnt extend past cheek to well. People can't tell if I'm on a land-line phone or skype, so it's excellent. Cons: After a while (3+ hours) the left side ear clip hurts a little bit. Solved by moving the headset up about 1/2 an inch for 10-15 mintutes, then back to normal for another three hours. Joshatdot Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week	1/17/2007 2:34:54 AM Pros: Produces sound and mic works fine. Nice long cord to goto back of computer on the floor. EZ to open packaging, none of that molded plastic that is welded shut. Cons: The neck band is not like the PMX60's, its more thinner & flimsy, and the gap that between your ears & the band is thinner then the PMX60's. If you try to pull the top of your ears in the gap, they can feel pinched after a while. The On/Off mic switch is kinda cheep, it makes a clicking sound thru the mic wire, so when you switch it on or off other people could hear it (if you were on team speak or ventrilo), the volume knob is kinda cheep to, about 1/4 of a turn is all you get from full volume to no volume. I used them for afew hours on Ventrilo, it reproduced the voices well, and MIC picked up quite well, but it could have used wind guard foam stuff. Music is not as good as the PMX60's, they are really not loud compared to the PMX60's, its at least 1/3 to 1/2 less loud. Other Thoughts: Design - 6/10 (ear gap needs to be bigger, more sturdy band, better mic switch & volume knob) Sound - 6/10 (needs more efficient/louder drivers & BASS) Mic/Rec - 9/10 (needs foam) Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Amazingly crisp sound and great range for a simple multimedia headset. Both music and games sound superb. Nice design and I especially like the boom mic. It is flexible but not flimsy or awkward like most. It sits in the perfect position and will swing to the back when not in use. Also the noice cancellation works nice, and best of all I can eat or drink without having to move the mic out of the way. Gotta love that :) The in-line mic mute and volume control come in handy for me, except sometimes I lean forward and my desk will crank the headset. I'd find it hard to believe there is a better headset in this price range. Cons: While the headset pads are very confortable on the ears, the platic parts over the ears are not the most comfortable. They take a bit to get used to each time I put them on. Once immersed in a game it's a non-issue, but they could be a little more comfy. Other Thoughts: I've owned and used a ton of different headsets, and I would say that these are hands down the best I have owned. I bought these to use with Skype and to play music, and they suit both purposed very well. Having worked in the sound industry previously, I wanted to go with either a Sennheiser or Plantronics.. both of which make professional sound equipment. Very happy with the choice I made. The Cord is extra long which is good for moving around the office alot. Cons: The headband isn't adjustable and might not fit around someone's head that is larger than normal, like mine. I'm a big guy and this headset fits snug. If it wasn't for the earclips I'm afraid they might come off =). But that's just a downside, not a downfall of this fine piece of equipment. Other Thoughts: If you use VoIP software alot or even voice software like vent or TS then this headset is just for that. Very flexible. Cons: The cord is super long and connects to the left side of the headphone. My computer is on the right side so the cord keeps getting tangled with my legs. The material used to make this headset feels extremely cheap! It feels like a no-brand headphone with a mic attached onto it. Cons: The cord was distracting at first, but I figured out how to make it run around my keyboard first so I don't run over it or anything. Other Thoughts: These are a SERIOUS improvement over may Labtec Spin 60 speakers, which are getting somewhat aged. With my sound card, these headphones allow me to hear everything around me, a serious advantage in BF2. Optional foam cover on the mic. Plenty of cord. Cons: Length of cord... maybe... We'll see if I run it over. Other Thoughts: Headphones are heavier that I expected. The plastic feels flimsy, but more likely that is to allow for flexibility for different size heads without pressure. I wore them 4+ hours the first time through... comfortable and the sound was definitely better than my 2yr old Logitech Precision Headset... and those were pretty good to begin with. Right choice for decent sound with a headsets on a budget. I don't listen to music, so no idea how they would respond there. The sounds in CS:S were defnitely cleaner and more rich. As always... As a gamer, I can better pick out where people are in all 360 degrees. As a music lover, you don't have to crank these all the way or even 75% up either to get the quality and stereo surround effect. They are very durable and will last you for a long time. Cons: This being the first headset of this style, my ears weren't accustomed to the fit. It took about a week or so to get used to but, after prolonged use, your ears may seem like they hurt from the headset rubbing against your head. I have a big head though so, that might have something to do with it. Other Thoughts: I did not buy this from Newegg because at the time of purchase they were not in stock so I had to go elsewhere.
