Great Headset!
Pros: Very comfortable. You can wear these for hours and it'll never irritate your ears or head. The mic works perfect and is detachable. Very durable, had these for almost a year and they still work as good as new.
Cons: The detachable microphone doesn't move up or down, but it's still bendable.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this headset for any serious or casual gamers.

Lets make this precise
Pros: 1. Comparable to the Bose Brand 2. Good quality for the price 3. Lengthy Cable 4. Sturdy Material 5. Comes with leather case for storage 6. Microphone being removable 7. Snug fit for the microphone attachement 8. Adjustable for size
Cons: 1. A bit bulky, no big deal though 2. Not able to collapse for storage, but once again no big deal
Other Thoughts: The ratio of the price and the function, the function outweighs the price at least 3 times over.
Recommended to Buy? Absolutely

Garbage
Pros: They are black.
Cons: Absolute garbage. I purchased one pair from newegg, they came with the cable that attaches to the headset loose. The sound began to crackle a few days later, first in one ear, then the other. I returned them to newegg, who was very prompt at sending me another. Plug the new set in and guess what? One of the ears was dead, right out of the box. Needless to say, not amused. Aside from sound cards (to which there is a great history), I would recommend never to purchase anything from creative.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy, waste of money.

Quality Headset
Pros: Detachable mic Comfortable earphones Nice carrying case came with the headset Great sound quality
Cons: they aren't free
Other Thoughts: I suppose another con could e the fatal1ty logos, but it doesn't bother me. It's a quality headset and I would definitely recommend to others and get again for myself.

Would not reccomend
Pros: Good headset. pretty comfortable good for long gaming sessions.
Cons: This mic was just terrible, had so many problems with it. first it wasnt taking the sound, then it started working, stopped working and all over again. after about 3 months the headset stopped working all together
Other Thoughts: if you want a good headset I would reccomend the Steelseries Siberia full size headset it is just amazing.

Pros: they work they are comfortable to ware they look good thats about it
Cons: the sound is not what i would exspect sound is awfull for music and gamming
Other Thoughts: i have the creative Gigawork 750s suround speakers with a creaive soundblaster elte pro for a sound card & when i switch to the head set sound is so bad its unreal
i bought these to replace a old but still working Plantronics DSP-500 digitally-enhanced gaming/multimedia headset which sound outstaning compared to these

Pros: Good sound, mostly comfortable, good noise reduction, cable is nice and long.
Cons: I have to practically eat the mic in order for other people to hear me good. It'd be nice if it could be a inch or two from my face.
After a couple hours of gaming it starts to hurt my ears, because the inside is a hard plastic, it'd be nice if there was a way to adjust the tension.
Lastly (minor gripe) the mic and audio cable is only separated the last few inches of the cord and this is a problem if, like me, you plug the headphones into speakers and the mic into the back of the computer.
Other Thoughts: Overall it is a decent headset, but it could be better.

Great Headset
Pros: For the price this headset is awesome. It sounds so much better than my cheapo logitech headset.
Cons: Part of the microphone broke off 10sec after I got it but it still works fine and you can't even really tell. It doesn't really feel like it will last a while but we will see.
Other Thoughts: Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing?

i like!
Pros: Awesome! Works really well. Sound is crisp, and the bass comes through very nicely. Not expensive. Quite comfortable to wear.
Cons: Fatal1ty? seriously. who cares??!
Other Thoughts: i don't really use the mic, as i was just looking for a comfortable pair of headphones for gaming. These work great! Detachable microphone is quite a blessing, as it's removed and completely out of the way, but if i need it in the future, it'll be there.

Solid
Pros: Note: This headset is the 3.5mm headset, not the USB headset. So if you read other reviews a about installing bloatware, etc.. Ignore them.
My first impression is that this headset feels SOLID. It is good quality and feels really nice. Got a nice heavy feel to them. When I first plugged them in I have to say I am truly impressed. Compared to my 9 dollar in-ear headphones, this thing blows them AWAY! The mic is crisp and clear, I used windows recorder to hear what I sounded like and I have to say it is the best mic I have ever used.
The sound is bar none the best I have ever heard for this price range. These compare to those expensive BOSE headsets that I have used before.
Cons: After 4-5 hours my ears might hurt a little bit, but not a big deal. It actually helps me stop playing my computer and go outside because my ears ache a bit! SO this could be a pro.
The name of the headsets is ridiculous. I can't tell my friends what the name is without saying "First, I didn't pick the name for these" I do understand these are marketed to gamers though.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you plug the mic in correctly or it wont work. There is a notch that lines up with the port, just make sure to line them up. It also comes with a leather carrying pouch. I use it for my Dell Mini 9 instead of the headphones because I don't carry them around often. So that carrying case is a big plus for me! (And my Dell Mini)

surround sound
Pros: Awesome sound, the quality of the base and treble seems respectable. Almost the same quality as a 5.1 speaker system. This headset is very comfortable on your ear.
Cons: The volume of this headset doesnt go all the way up using my logitech z 5500.
Other Thoughts: n/a

Good headset and good price
Pros: This is the second set I have bought. One for me and one for my son. They are comfortable and sound good. They have nice pads and a good adjustable mic that is clear. Noise canceling. They are comfortable for a long night of gaming. Get it.
Cons: Mic is only on one side.
Other Thoughts: Mic is removable for traveling but it is a connection so it could come loose.

great quality for the price
Pros: Most comfortable headset I've tried yet, stays that way after hours of gaming. Great sound and decent noise cancellation on mic. Can't really ask for more at this price.
Cons: As a female, the headset runs on the bulky side

3.5 out of 5
Pros: Great sound in games, music, movies. True 5.1 sound
Cons: Once in a while there's static all over, when playing movies or music. I'm not the only one whose having this problem with the card.
Other Thoughts: i got 3 way 280gtx on my motherboard plus this sound card, maybe that's one of the reason of the static crunching sound.

Awesome headset
Pros: Headset was immediately recognized by Windows 7 RC. No extra bloatware or weird software to install, and I could use it immediately. Since it uses a 3.5mm connection, there are two separate ones. One is for the headphones part, and on is for the microphone part. So you can use it for listening to music on your MP3 player, or you can use it as a plain old mic on your computer or something. Lots of padding, so you will never be uncomfortable wearing it.* (Other thoughts).
Cons: None so far, when I first got it all my friends said that I sounded muffled. All I had to do was take off the little poofy thing on the business side of the mic, and that really cleared it up.
Other Thoughts: There's a tiny little notch thing where the mic goes into the headset. You've gotta place the mic so that it fits perfectly inside. If you don't, the mic won't work. *As long as you put the headset on the right way, it'll be extremely comfortable. It's very hard to do it right, but I found that if I put it slightly in front of my ears, it didn't hurt at all as when I tried to completely cover my ears. But I think it's just my glasses that were interfering, because when I took those off, it was fine.

Great Sound
Pros: Great sound. Directional sound is very realistic for headset. The cord length is terrific (plugged in rear of Antec 1200 on floor with plenty of length). The detachable mic is very convenient.
Cons: feels kinda cheap but I know it is not. If you don't like labels or brand name decals on your stuff, I guiess that might be a con.

junk
Pros: sound is great
Cons: junk biggest peace of junk i have ever owned. i bought one of these and within 2 months one side stopped working. bought another set thought maybe i broke them and these ones stopped working sooner like first week. the little volume control is junk. it gets hot and smells like it;s burning. when you change the level it cuts in and out. Now if you turn it up all the way right side stops working and left is real low turn it down all the way both sides work but super low. junk like i said.
Other Thoughts: when it works it is perfect! Mic picks up real good. Every once is a while you have to unplug mic and plug it back in to get it to work but with all the speaker problems that only happens once a month and not a big deal. I would pay $20.00 for something like this but $80.00 for this thing is junk.

Pleased
Pros: Sounds, looks, feels good. Definitely the kind of headset to go with - sounds like 5.1 but with none of the hassle!
Cons: Not at the moment.
Other Thoughts: Why people comment on this headset and talk about it being USB is beyond me. This is the 3.5mm entry, not the USB version of this..

Great headset
Pros: This headset has great sound quality. It has brought up my in game awareness dramatically because I can now hear all footsteps or whatever small noises that alert me to near by enemies. Plus, with the detachable mic, they make great headphones. It looks nice, the mic quality is great, and I just plugged it in and it worked right off the bat. The long cord is nice as well.
Cons: The cups around the ears are a tad shallow, and the hard speaker on the inside irritates my ears after an extended amount of game play. And I have small ears.
Other Thoughts: Overall, a great headset.

Wow!
Pros: So I just got these today, but I must say I am amazed by these headphones. They have amazing sound quality, the best sounding headphones I have ever had. The microphone quality in vent is really good, but in CS 1.6 it sounds alright. These headphones have amazing bass and make my gaming experience in CoD4 even more intense.
Cons: I read somewhere in these reviews that someone broke the piece where the speaker pivots. I must say that the plastic feels very weak and flimsy where the speakers are attached and pivot. It's almost disappointing how weak they feel, but it doesn't deserve the loss of an egg, just be careful with these fragile headphones.
Other Thoughts: You have to install software? Its plugged in by way of USB? What? These are two things that i have seen people say about these headphones. First, my set did not come with any software to install. Second, my set did not come with a USB connection, just the usual plugs that go into the mobo. A little side note: if you have sensitive ears, it might take a little getting used to to the bass of these headphones, because its that intense. No biggie though, I got over it within 15 min. They're as simple as plug em in, n go play.

awsome for $45
Pros: great quality sound, more than loud enough, good mike, and when combined with an x-fi card it seriously sounds like a full surround sound setup.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: well worth it.

All Around Solid Headset
Pros: -Comfort: Headset can be worn for 4-5 hours before it starts to become uncomfortable. -Sound Quality: Headset includes an in-line sound processor, which produces high quality sound regardless of the PC hardware. -Recording Quality: Mic works well, I have never had a problem being understood, although it can pick up some background noise (i.e. music).
Cons: -USB connector. If you can, I would recommend using a converter to connect with 3.5mm jacks. The USB plug is what makes the in-line sound processor work, so plugging it in is like plugging in a new sound card to your computer, complete with waiting for it to be recognized / installed etc. Not a huge drawback, but it does make hot-swapping the headset a little clumsy.
Other Thoughts: I've put in some quality hours with this headset, and I have to say I am honestly impressed. I've owned it for several months at this point and I have yet to have any quality issues with it at all. I bought this headset at Best Buy for almost twice this price, so for the $50 I see it listed for here... it's a great buy. All in all I would highly recommend this headset, as I can attest to it's positive performance in everything from WoW to TF2/CS:S or even just listening to music. Good design, good execution, and it does not disappoint.
Note: Does require some Creative software to be installed to use it properly, but it seems to be fairly low profile stuff and you can ignore it and still get by just fine.

I'm bored so here is a review.
Pros: I got these a bit over a year ago. They have worked perfectly! I have dropped abused them and they have not failed. I am no audiophile, and I don't have a sound card, but the sound is amazing! Even wearing glasses they are comfy after HOURS of wear!
Cons: The microphone could be a little better, you either take it out or bend it away from your face at some strange angle. (Have not lost detachable mic yet, WOW!)
(Nit-picks) Cord could be a little longer and thicker? The cord is attached to them on the left side, but most people keep their computer to their right so it goes across your face. [Simple fix, use some invisible tape to run the cord across the top arch of the headset.]
No biggies.
Other Thoughts: After formatting my computer I have been having issues with high volume and static, maybe these are starting to get old after all this time or it is a result of some forgotten setting? A good excuse to buy the updated set when I find a job!

Incredible
Pros: 1. The most comfortable headset i have ever owned and i have had probably 15+. 2.The most amazing sound quality I have ever heard out of a headset. The bass alone with music and games is worth it. 3. Fairly inexpensive considering the quality.
Cons: Ummm it's not free?
Other Thoughts: Buy THESE NOW!

A bit bulky, but you get used to it
Pros: Great sound, great mic.
Cons: It takes a while to get used to. I felt uncomfortable for the first week or so if I wore it for any extended amount of time. It may have simply been because my old one was much smaller though.
Other Thoughts: Worth the money. Best sounding headset I have ever had, and I did not have to break the bank either.

Started out ok
Pros: Clear sound and the microphone worked perfectly for games.
Cons: Was working perfectly, but about two weeks later. The wires that connected the headset to the headphone connector pulled out. The headset doesn't have a snug fit.

Pros: This is by far one of the best headsets I have ever used. The sound is amazing, I can wear them for extended periods of time without discomfort, and the mic picks up well. A great buy!!

good but flimsy
Pros: Great comfort, snugly covers my dumbo ears just fine and I use this headset plenty (daily basis) and the microphone is a breeze to easily move out of the way although it doesn't swivel
Cons: I'm a very careful person, and I handle all of my equipment with care. Just the other day the right speaker brushed against something as i was picking it up and it took a very light amount of force for it to snap on the weak hinges. Be aware there is a very very frail hinge system that doesn't seem to take much force to break, I would not recommend this product to any of my friends because of how frail that hinge is.
Other Thoughts: I've used many headsets by many manufacturers and every variety from ear buds, clip ons, wrap around and over the head style headsets and I was incredibly pleased with this item until the design flaw rendered it completely useless to me.
if only manufacturers could understand that using 1/10th cm thin plastic on key pressure points was a bad idea...

Not Bad
Pros: Soft ear cups, removable mic, good sound quality nice bass.
Cons: Flimsy cheap plastic, ear cups not large enough for extended comfort, Sound clairity is not best but fine lacks dynamics.
Other Thoughts: Overall worth the money and about what you would expect from a $45 headset. Nothing really over and above competition though.

I hate to say it but...
Pros: I'll be the first to tell you that I don't care about Fatal1ty, nor do I put any extra stock into products with his name on it, but I got to hand it to Creative here as this is one fine headset. It's got a good range for it's highs and lows and some good bass that can kick. It's on par with other headphones in this price range, but when you compare it to headsets in this price range it starts sounding even better. The detachable mic boom and long cord are definite pluses. Great for both gaming and music (listening to Opeth's Ghost of Perdition right now and it's sounding very nice). Oh yeah, and they're fairly lightweight and they don't make you look like you're wearing oversized steampunk looking Princess Leia hair buns on year ears which is great...unless you like that sort of thing...
Cons: They are a bit tight, although that's not a huge deal for me, I'd rather them be a little too tight than a little too loose (how else would I headbang along to my music?). Besides, I assume that they'll get broken in a little more as time goes on. Unfortunately like all circumaural headphones/sets heat is a problem, depending on room temperature it could take as little as 30 minutes before they start making me warmer than I'd like to be. The plush ear pads don't help at all in that respect, and they definitely could be a lot softer (but again maybe that just needs some breaking in as well). I could also do without the Fatal1ty decals on the sides, but now I'm getting picky.
Other Thoughts: It's not perfect but it's got some major pluses going for it, and all those make it almost unbeatable in the ~$50 headset range. I'm using this with my Creative X-Fi Platinum, Windows XP 32bit system and loving it so far. I give it a 4 out of 5 just because of the few cons listed above, and it's rare that I'd ever give anything the full 5 out of 5 anyway....it's got to be REALLY freakin' good for that rating. I haven't tried the mic out yet, but that's not a huge priority for me, it's just something I might use every now and then. As long as that part works, I'm fine with it. I have a pair of Tritton AX360's and despite the fact that it is (or was) twice the price when I got it and it has 5.1 speakers in it, this set sounds just as good and it's infinitely easier to work with...no dealing with thousands of cords that are all miles long and tweaking hundreds of settings to make the sound halfway decent...just plug in and turn it up.

Great 3d sound
Pros: I got this for free with my PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series, and It makes a great add on, the sound is really clear, and with the 3d sound on the sound card enabled it's really good for playing games, immersing yourself and not bothering anyone else.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: the MKII version is out, but they're more than twice the price of these.

Extremely Low Quality
Pros: USB Connecting, detachable microphone, sturdy build.
Cons: Comes packed with loads of software that I already have three versions of, an unnecessary volume controller, and yet another media player. My headset's quality started degrading rapidly. During use, it is prone to random failures, in which the any sound coming through will drop multiple octaves, start crackling, then jump it's tone up to the equivalent of a hundred ants screaming in your ears.
This headset does not work. When I tried updating the drivers, the sound quality actually degraded to the point to where I would rather put up with the sound failures.
Other Thoughts: The name sells these. If it didn't have Fatal1ty's name on it, they would be trash.

Cheaply Made...
Pros: It was on sale at the time.
Cons: I finally got around to using them and when I took them out of the box the cord going from the in-line volume control to the stereo plug was completely undone like the wires had never been soldered on. For the price and the fact it was Creative (which I have bought MANY PC peripherals). New Egg said nothing they can do call Creative. Creative won't do anything, because I don't have the S/N to do an RMA. (Serial number on Headphones.. never heard of that!?)
Other Thoughts: I'm very disappointed that I wasted $46 for headphones that I never got to use. I still have a pair of Jensen's that I have had for about 6 years now and they still work great minues the ear pads falling apart.

Desent Headset
Pros: Nice design, nice case. Detachable mic. The sound output quality is good. The mic quality is also good. And the headset is quite comfy, even if a little bulky.
Cons: The price. This is a lot to spend on something that feels so cheap. The set I have still works great but I can't help feeling like I have to be really gentle with them.
Other Thoughts: Save your money and go with something else. I have not head any quality difference with these compare to my old 10 dollar set.

Can't Go Wrong for the Price
Pros: Price/Durability/Sound quality. If you are still on integrated sound, this is all you need. Vent/TS comes thru clear/don't have to yell. I don't have any issues locating people with sound in COD. I've had this headset for about 6 months, and it's holding up very well. Only way I would move away from this set, is if I ever got a better soundcard.
Cons: Cord is a little bit on the long side, and you have to be carefull about not getting it wrapped around feet on pc chair or stepping on it when you get up. I have came close to ripping out the cord to the headset with my foot a few times.
Other Thoughts: Can't really say that the "no swivel" headset is a con.. unless you are constantly eating or drinking something while you are gaming..or the Fatal1ty branding either. I can't see it/don't think about it when I'm playing, and no one else looks at it either. I resolved the headset cable issue by placing my pc up above my monitor instead of down on the floor, just plugin the front 3.5mm jacks. Nothing left to get tangled up in now.

Creative Fatal1ty
Pros: Very Comfortable, good sound, detachable mic.
Cons: The Cord twists and kinks WAY to much and WAY to easy, today after about 3-4 months mine finally kinked itself to death and shorted the wire.
Other Thoughts: These would have been 5 eggs if the cord wasnt so cheap and kinked every 5 seconds.
ONCE IT KINKS ONCE ITS OVER, Thats kinks there for good, YOUVE BEEN WARNED.

Works Surprisingly Well
Pros: Really, for the price, I expected a much lower quality headset. I have had these things working as 24/7 sound (to keep the noise level in my house down) for the past two months and I have yet to encounter the slightest problem with them. The sound is clear and high-quality even without the Fatal1ty sound card -- especially the bass, it just blows me away. The sound is powerful and goes up to a high volume -- not eardrum-shattering high, but a very decent volume. The mic produces decent (not necessarily great, but definitely decent) sound quality. Don't listen to people saying they're uncomfortable on larger ears; I have very large ears and I can wear this headset for hours without the slightest discomfort.
A lot of people also complain about the design, but it's really not that bad. The words on the top of the set are small and don't draw attention to themselves, and the red ovals on the side match my case :)
Cons: The velvet lining the ears and the top of the headset are HUGE dust and hair magnets. It's not really noticeable unless you're studying it, but it still gives sort of a messy look.
On higher range music, when turned up really loud, it crackles from time to time. Also, the cord tangles and twists really easily -- it's really not that big of a deal, but it's really hard to straighten out once it's wound itself up.
Other Thoughts: They're not being advertised as noice cancelling, but I feel I should mention anyways that they are IN NO WAY noise cancelling. They don't block out ANY noise at all.
Definitely worth the money -- I usually expect to buy headsets like this for a lot more, and I bought this one with a bit of skepticism, but it has surpassed all my preconceived notions.

Good Product!
Pros: Very good sound; Loud bass; Bendable Mic
Cons: Ear pads are a little small, but it doesn't really bother me.
Other Thoughts: Had it for going on 3 months now and have no complaints. I find them comfortable and the sound is so much better then the cheaper headsets I've had previously.

Great product, Would buy again!
Pros: Great sound for the CHEAP Price!!!
Even though it doesn't boast "True" 5.1 in my opinion it sounds no different. The bass is great, the sound is great, when I was playing a Horror FPS and something made a sound behind me in the game I actually turned around quickly to see who was there...and then I remembered I had headphones on and was playing a game..
They are pretty much noise canceling seeing as when I wear them and listen to music (I don't enjoy blasting music) i can't hear anything else and that goes for gaming too.
Works well with my Ipod and jeez, the sound quality and volume are AWESOME.
Microphone I would say is 8.5/10 (you can hear some dead air but it is barely noticeable says my friends on Ventrillo/Skype)
Cord is long, I can't remember how much it is from the specs but I would say it feels like 7-10ft, I can open my room door with these and walk across my room (Granted its like 14x10 ft) but still, I think its nice.
Cons: The emblem looks kinda lame in my opinon? Haha, can't find anything else, the colors are awesome, red, black, silver.
Other Thoughts: I'm a very messy person and I stepped on the mic and the headphones and I heard a crack...everything still works fine. Very durable, I beat the #&!$ out of my own things and it works 100% fine.
The headpiece is extenable and is VERY comfortable. I use to be a hard core gamer (I would play for 20 hours a day) and have these on all the time. Sometimes after the 15th hour my ears would start feeling like they hurt a little, so its great for long term usage.
AWESOME product overall, cheap, GET IT!

best headset i have owned
Pros: best sounding headset i have ever heard and very strong. i have tripped over the cord many times jerking them off my head and spinning my computer tower around sideways and they are still working perfectly. comfortable, mic works pretty good i notice that i have to run mic boost on for people to hear me well but that is no biggy at all did i mention the best sounding headset i have ever heard
Cons: mic is a little quiet from what people around the world tell me. the wind breaker on the mic could be a little bit longer or grip a little tighter nothing i would take an egg away for. it also could have came with an extra wind breaker or 2
Other Thoughts: this was 41$ for me in 3/3/08 and they still work perfectly no problems at all and they have been abused thats for sure. if your here looking at this headset and you cant decide on these or another set i highly suggest you buy these they are worth more than 50$ to me as i have never heard a better sounding headset in my life time and i am 26 years old and i have went through at least 15 headphones/headsets. these were the last ones i bought over a year ago and i will not junk them to try any other kind and when these mess up i will be buying another set. infact i might buy another set before the ones i have now mess up as they get abused pretty bad and i have no idea how i have not jerked the wires our or broke the jack on my sound card. i give them 10 eggs our of 5. if your wondering what my sound card is it is Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail

A Most Excellent Selection
Pros: This is an outstanding headset. The levels of bass are amazing, and the quality of sound is crisp and clear. Also, the mic quality is great. Since I'm using it primarily for online video games, it fits its purpose nicely.
Cons: They can feel a little tight at first, even after adjustment, but you get used to it.
Other Thoughts: If I had to do it over, I would most certainly get this headset again.

Comfortable, clear-sounding headset
Pros: I use these cans mainly to play Left 4 Dead, a dark game in which you gain a significant advantage by pinpointing the enemy's location by sound rather than sight. If you have the right sound card, these will perform admirably. The mic is especially well-designed because it is removable (for in-game snacking) and adjustable.
Cons: The headphone, though wrapped in velvet, sit on your ears, which can constrict blood flow if you play for several hours straight and don't adjust them. This is a minor consequence, though, that is easily remedied.

Pros: Very comfortable, very clear quality. It was simple enough to hook up, as well as use. It keeps the sound in very well, and keeps just the right amount of sound out. I love the detachable mic, because I can eat without it getting in the way :D
Cons: The volume on the cord is a little sensitive, but if you clip it to your shirt or something its no bother. Uhh. It also changes the volume on my speakers when i adjust the volume on the headset, but that is moreso because i use a splitter, and my onboard sound isnt exactly powerful.
Other Thoughts: Love it, I'm glad i got it instead of some more expensive, or cheaper one.

After a Year of usage...
Pros: Comfort, Comfort, Comfort. Mic is clear and picks up only your voice. Detachable/Adjustable Mic.
Cons: It hurts my jaw when I eat with them on...maybe its just me. Such a nerdy design all over...I'm going to keep those away from the public Oo
Other Thoughts: It's either a pro/con depending on you: The cord is extentsivly long. They're always caught to something. I love these so much..Bought it for 49.99

Decent sound for the price
Pros: Good sound imaging for gaming (i.e. you can easily pinpoint where direction enemy sounds are coming from, etc.).
The cushioning on the earpieces is nice, my ears don't get sore even after hours of gaming.
The volume and mic on/off buttons on the cord are convenient.
Cons: Musical imaging and clarity is poor. Bass is present, but not lifelike. Voice and highs are decent, but nothing special. My $70 pair of Grado SR60's makes this headset sound poor when it comes to anything but gaming. Do not purchase these if you intend on using them for music and are picky at all about sound.
Even at the largest adjustement, the headset is a little snug if your hat size is large. Not too bad, but more snug than other headsets I own.
Other Thoughts: A good headset if gaming is the sole use.

Amazing set of headphones for the price
Pros: For the price these headphones deliver great sound quality. I do a lot of competitive FPS gaming and the clarity of the directional sound is definitely appreciated. The removable mic is great, and it can be bent out of the way if need be. Mic's sound quality is also superb. Overall the headphones are very comfortable after they're broken in (took about a week for my first pair), even during long gaming sessions.
Cons: I am on my second pair now because the first began to loose audio from the left side due to a loose connection in the cable. The reason for this is that the cable began to coil up insanely after a few months use although I never wrapped the cable around in a circular motion. My second pair is well on its way to the same fate, even though I have taken great care to keep it from coiling up. That's the only reason I don't give the set 5 eggs.

Not as good as I hoped..
Pros: I'm not an audiophile, but the sound quality on this mic seems pretty nice.
Cons: I have had nothing but bad luck with this headset. I bought it to replace my Creative HS-900, which I loved. The HS-900 has a flip down mic, which is not detachable. I find that with the Creative FATAL1TY .. I'm constantly required to screw around with the positioning of the microphone. Also, it is VERY uncomfortable after maybe an hour of wearing it. The inside of the headset (in the middle of the foam rings) is hard - which my ears press against.. so they hurt. Also, the microphone seems to pick up static.. where my old headset picked up none. People in games also complain at me because my mic is too loud .. which I can't seem to fix. Could be a problem with my computer, but it could be the headset too.
Another con... if you move your ears or "chew" (causing your headset to move) you'll hear this very irritating noise caused by the plastic rubbing against more plastic. Ugh!
Other Thoughts: This headset has disappointed me. I stuck with Creative products because I had a good experience with my HS-900, but I've been disappointed by this headset. I picked it because it had good reviews, and I needed a replacement quick. I thought this would be pretty high quality, but sadly it is not. Electronics seem to get flimsier as time goes on..
Maybe my bad experience with this headset is just limited to me... maybe it fits other people better. I just wish I had picked a different headset.

GOOD HEADPHONES!
Pros: Good sound quality, and base!!!!!!! I play games, listen to music. You can detach the MIC... move it around... flexible and stable at the same time. You can turn the mic on/off from the switch that is on the cable... and there is volume on the cable as well.
I bought them for $40 and free shipping. They are worth $60 or more... I would pay $60.
Confy headphones... you just need to find the right position for your own head. :)
Cons: no cons

Comfortable, sounds great.
Pros: - Cheap - You get exactly what you'd expect.
The headset has decent noise cancellation and is comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. The sound is great and the microphone quality is just as good.
Cons: The ear phones can sometimes make your ears too warm and its annoying sometimes. but nothing any kind of headphones like these are able to avoid.
Other Thoughts: I hate supporting Fatal1ty but the price was the best for what you get.

Nice headset.
Pros: Nice headset. Great sound quality, mic quality, very comfortable. Cheaper (in price) than most other headsets of this tier. Removable microphone and velvet are very cool features. Also looks pretty bad***.
Cons: Plastic-feeling and brittle. Mine broke at the extensible plastic band and became thoroughly unwearable and I had to send them back.

Best I've Heard Yet
Pros: This is the best headset I have heard yet. There is no area on the musical spectrum that doesn't seem to glow with enthusiasm to be played through these guys. Above about 80hz it seems to be a fairly even frequency response until about 7khz, where it rolls off real fast. The lower end is a little forward, which can be bad for positional audio but I prefer it that way. The sound seems quite snappy, with almost no distortion to speak of. The bass is clean and punchy, and doesn't interfere with the highs, which themselves are delightfully present.
I didn't extensively test the mic, but it is very good. It is nice and sensitive, and can take speaking volumes up to "loud conversational" before clipping. Before that point, it sounds clean and clear, with no static, hums, or distortion.
As for the more tangible things, it is very comfortable. The ear pads are kinda small, but are plush enough to fit around and a little on your ears.
All in all, it is a superb headset for the money.
Cons: The construction feels flimsy, I haven't broken it yet, but give me time. I haven't had any problems with it yet, and it is very comfortable, but the pads are velvet, meaning you have to clean them (there are worse things, I know).
The earpieces seem very stationary compared to most other headsets I've tried. It seems like the fad is to have earpieces that can do a million different rotations.
I don't have one that isn't battery powered, but I don't think these headphones hold up to amping very well. They certainly don't need it, as they are powered wonderfully by a PC sound card, but I don't think they are designed to be used with
I may seem a bit nitpicky here, but when it comes to these phones, you need to be in order to find fault.
Other Thoughts: I volunteer for my church's sound team, and these are a lot better than the headphones we use as a mixing reference. Also, I have listened to a fair variety of headphones/headsets in the $30-$100 range, including cans from AKG, Plantronics. Steelseries, Sony, and Sennheiser.
I heartily recommend this headset, guys.

bang for buck
Pros: bang for buck comfortable over long periods sturdy headband design long cord
Cons: not really anything worth putting here
Other Thoughts: lacking in the bass vrs others in this price range that i've tried. but then again the clarity is higher than the ones that have deeper bass. therefore, all the headsets/headphones i've heard that sound better cost double or more. Creative is the company that brought sound into some of the first mass sold/built machines. You can never go wrong buying a creative product...they know what they're doing.

Good Gaming Headset
Pros: Sound quality is good, Mic works well, Volume/Mic on/off controll on headset wire, comfortable.
Cons: The mic is a bit quirky to adjust correctly, its tough to get it set just right with its static mounting point.
Other Thoughts: I used this headset for Gaming mostly, ventrilo, and music. Over all quality of sound and build quality of the headset seams good for the price.

Pros: -Excellent sound quality, especially bass -Extremely comfortable -Mic works great, and I love that it's removable.
Cons: First unit I bought only lasted 1 month and it went dead on me, not sure if the mic died, but the headphones were completely dead.
Other Thoughts: This is my second unit and I wanted to give it time before I reviewed due to first unit dying on me. First united only lasted a month, but I've had the second one for 5-6 months and it has been working perfectly since I got it. I would have given it 5 eggs had the first set not died.

Immersive
Pros: Great sound, especially the bass. Uses Creative's pseudo surround sound feature very well. Detachable mic. Mic doesn't pick up any background noise if you take the 5 seconds to configure it. Can turn on/off the mic and adjust speaker volume from the cord dongle. Feels comfy and fits my ears like a glove. Nearly silent unless you're the one wearing it, or you've got it turned up waaay to loud. If you're playing a game with great audio effects, you can really immerse yourself in the experience.
Specific if you've also got the "Fatal1ty" audio card (or another high-end Creative audio card): If you put on some rockin' music, switch to entertainment mode, put the EAX effects on Ampitheatre, crank the volume, and close your eyes you'll swear you're at an amazing concert. The possibilities w/ a game like Guitar Hero make me all giddy.
Cons: "Fatal1ty" o.0
...honestly who cares?
I use speakers when I'm not in a game, and these use the same port for the headphones (the green one) so I swap them everytime I switch from internet to games. Then you have to go into the Creative console and switch it to headphone mode.
I have to take off my headphones to plug in or remove the microphone. Maybe it's just me, but I have trouble lining it up with the hole, (immature giggle) and it seems to take a lot of force to get it back out again. Makes me worried I might break something.
Other Thoughts: I haven't ever owned a headset or above average pair of headphones before I purchased these.
I purchased the combo deal with the "Fatal1ty" audio card, and got these for free.
You get much more for your money if you've got a good Creative audio card too. I recommend waiting for newegg to offer the combo.

Died in left ear
Pros: Simply beautiful sound quality Comfortable Decent controls that dont make static when changed Excellent mic Amazing frequency responses
Cons: After about four months, the left earphone gave up on me. I'll take half the blame for it, as they're so nice to wear that I've walked away while wearing them a few times. But after not using them for a good week or so, I plugged them in, and behold, the headphone connector needs to be twisted and held in a weird way to give sound to the left driver. Now if the right side died that isnt as bad, because the mic is on the left, and I could have just moved the bad right earcup off my ear, and be able to hear the outside. But with the left one dead, I cant "keep one ear open" and "Skype" at the same time.
Hopefully others' had better luck then me, because these things sound perfect.
Other Thoughts: Might wanna blast a heavy rock song at max volume in them for a good hour or so when you first get them. For one, to head how the sound from these things sounds pretty good as speakers for headphone drivers. And for two, the drivers themselves did need a tad bit of "burning in" to do. Once they were loosened up, perfect.

Great media headset
Pros: Good, solid headset; perfect for gaming, voice chat, VOIP, whatever. Detachable microphone is a plus for those who like to use the set as headphone occasionally when not needing a mic. Size adjustment also has earpiece pivots which is nice for my big head. Sound input/out works great. Good price!
Cons: Earpad material is some type of velvety cloth that attracts stray hairs and dust like whoa.
Other Thoughts: Worth it!

Almost as good as a new baby
Pros: I just bought this headset to replace an old Plantronics pair that I had for many years. My girlfriend didn't want me to get them. Shortly after they arrived I found out why. I loved them so much I began to desire her less and less each to which I would rather listen to the likes of Brass Monkey on my Fatality headset. We eventually broke up because she gave me the ultimatum 'the headset, or her'. I will regret the decision I made.
Cons: Perhaps make the headset less desirable to males as to not force the GF to get jealous.

Buyer Beware!!!!
Pros: Headphones sound very good.
Cons: When I bought this I wasn't using the microphone(it's an insertable mic with a headphone jack on one end) so I packed it away. I cannot locate it now. I contacted the company to "buy" a replacement. They do not sell or make replacement parts.
Other Thoughts: What the!!!! You do not make replacement parts on a detachable part? How hard can it be. This is the 2nd Creative item I have purchased. The other being a Stone Plus Mp3 player. Great player for the 35 minutes it plays after charging. Not making parts isn't very Creative?

Very Good Headphones
Pros: Very comfortable with high quality sound. I mainly use them for gaming, music, and movies and have yet to find a single thing wrong with them. I think the detachable microphone is great because some people, like myself, just don't use the mic very often and so you can take it off. Overall, I'm very happy with them and would definitely suggest them
Cons: None to speak of
Other Thoughts: Other reviewers seemed to complain mostly of the logos on them, I don't think they look that bad and don't think that that should be a deciding factor when buying headphones

great
Pros: I bought these to plug right into my Creative drive bay (hence non usb version)
They are very comfortable on your head and ears even after a few hours!
Most surprisingly is how well the audio sounds. Being an audiophile I am very satisfied at how well these headphones put out every range. Bass isnt too deep, the highs and mids are perfect. Its definitely perfect for gaming
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: I use this with COD4, COD waw etc. and they are great. I am not being rude to the rest of my household and I can hear people trying to sneak up on me! The sound is very clear.

A great headset
Pros: The audio quality sounds awesome to me, though I am not what you would call an audiophile. The mic is very clear and it is very flexible.
This headset is also by far the single most comfortable one I've ever used.
Cons: The headset is bulky. Maybe my head is just small?
Other Thoughts: Don't go outside wearing it

Best gaming headset yet.
Pros: Great sound quality with the Creative X-Fi Fata1aty Extreme sound card I bought with it. (Well I bought the card and the headset was a combo deal for free!!)
The sound is amazingly clear! and crisp, the mic works great the sound that comes from the mic through the headset is the best of any gaming headset I have ever owned.
Nice cloth ear cushions better than vinyl that makes you sweat. Also has a thick padded cushion on the top strap to increase comfort for long term wear.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: The cable is small, this worries me, I don't like thin cables makes me worry they may break easy...

Awesome!
Pros: Great headset. A very powerfull headset. Reduces ambient noise almost down to nothing, helping boost the sound. Sound quality is on point. Headset has some bass. Makes you want to play music that have a lot of bass.... Good Directional sound for gameplay. The microphone is good regardless of being unable to move it up and down. It's not enough of a hassle to be a con. Comfortable headset, with cushion on top for your head, and good cushion around the ear so that it presses against your head and not on your ears. Allows for extended hours of gameplay.
Cons: hmmm.... can't think of any.
Other Thoughts: A BANG for your buck! a must have!

NEVER WORKED!
Pros: Seem fairy comfy, but clamping pressure is a little high.
Cons: This headset totally failed for me. From what I can tell the drivers for this headset may or may not work on your PC. If they don't the headset is useless. It seems like my issue was rather rare, but when I read the creative forms I found that is was not uncommon. The only tech support that is offered is the e-mail option. These people will tell you nothing that can't be found on the forms. I cant describe how frustrating it is to buy a product and have it never show a glimmer of ever working... Very poor experience with creative.
Other Thoughts: I have two friends who like these headsets a lot.
!!!!When you buy this product make sure you keep your receipt!!!!

awesome headset
Pros: Great Quality sound. Beautiful Microphone. Very sturdy.
Cons: Long Cord gets in the way. Detachable Mic is just asking to be lost.
Other Thoughts: This is an amazing headset. The sound is just great. Going from using my Logitech headset to this is such a huge increase in quality. I am hearing sounds ranges that I used to only get on my speakers. I have never heard anything this clear for the money. The Microphone is top quality. its better then my Dynamic Range ear-mounted boom. The cord is quite long though. and for those of us with breakout boxes. The wire gets in the way. but that is the ONLY real negative.

Good quality
Pros: Ok, Good sound quality, very confortable i play left 4 dead, Team fortress 2, Killing Floor etc etc and i get great sound out of those games as well with the mic, everybody hear me perfect and clear, oh with this headphones i hear sounds that i didnt hear before and you will be able to wear this for long period of time without pain i have this today and have them on almost since i got them and no pain at all, the velvet make it really really confortable. 3.5mm gold plated perfect contact! yes you should buy them if your really considering buying one of this. and my sound card its integrated so cant wait to get a sound blaster xfi then it will be even better!!
Cons: not a con honestly but the cable was long enough for me, you should see how long you really need the cable, cause its not much longer than regular headsets coords i would say about 6 to 8 ft
Other Thoughts: yes buy em :P, better than this i would say the sennheiser but those are $150 headsets so yea

Happy Customer Here
Pros: Awesome audio quality, great voice quality when using vent or skype, wow THESE THINGS ARE COMFY! I play a lot of games, I sometime forget they are even on my head. I have owned other headsets that would squish my ears causing pain after several hours, but no such problems here.
Cons: Foam covering boom microphone became lost :/

Good value
Pros: Surprisingly comfortable, the felt is smooth and the padding is very soft. Sounds quite good. I'm not much of an audiophile but I do think this headset gives music and sound effects more depth compared to El Cheapo department store headsets. The plastic feels sturdy, but not solid. I don't think you'll need to worry about it breaking on you unless you're into serious head-banging/smashing the side of your head against the wall or desk :-\
Cons: Although the mic is easily adjustable and will stay where you put it, it seems to attach to the headset in an angled down direction, that doesn't feel very natural. But I still have no problem positioning the mic right by my mouth. The cable seems a bit wimpy. Some heavier wire would be nice. None of these cons are a big enough worry to lose one egg.
Other Thoughts: It is such a relief to get rid of my flimsy, 15 dollar headset. For it's price, this seems like a very high quality product. Worth 5 eggs easily. Unless this breaks within a year I'm not regretting my purchase. I would recommend this product to someone looking for a good quality headset on a budget.

Very nice headset
Pros: Sound quality is fantastic, mic quality is vastly superior to my previous mic. This headset is very lightweight, and has nice soft fuzzy pads. It is loud enough that I can wear them around my neck and still hear fine. I think the headset looks very nice, and the detachable mic is great when you just want a good set of headphones.
Cons: I don't know if my ears just abnormally protrude out of my head more that most people, but the edge of my ear gets pushed up against the side of the head phones, and my ear get's a little sore/irritated. Also, I tend to get a headache after wearing them, but it feels almost like my brain is not used to such good sound quality. The detachable mic is kind of annoying to put back, because it has a little notch on the plug that corresponds with a notch on the headphones. The problem with this is that when quickly putting th mic back on an not really looking, the notches may not line up, and it can be difficult to pull the mic back off.
Other Thoughts: Over all, I love this headset! The quality and style by far out weighs it's minor faults.

Poor Quality
Pros: Comfortable for long hours of Gamming fun
Cons: The wire is small and easily tangles, Not real great sound, Look and feel cheep not what I would expect from Creative Fata1ty product for the price would not purchase this model again

Great gaming headset
Pros: Great sound quality, sturdy cable (i couldn't tell you how many times i've pulled, tripped on, yanked at this cable) The mic is detachable which is nice if you also use it to just listen to music or watch videos/movies when you're not talking to your friends online.
Cons: The little clip on the volume switch/mute switch broke off quite easily (about a week after purchase) very flimsy.
Other Thoughts: Owned this headset about 6 months, other than the flimsy clip it's a great headset, nice bass and rich sound. Like it says, great for gaming.

Overall a great headset
Pros: First off, I have gone through over a dozen headsets in the past 2 years. I purchased this one from Newegg and quickly realized it was built a bit different from the rest. Here are good things:
Quality sound without ear cup buzzing Better then average construction Good microphone quality No USB - it uses the quality of your sound card.
Cons: Sound adjustment can get in the way and can be mistakenly changed
Headset cord length is sufficient but the strength of it isn't. My my microphone lead was ripped out of the plastic splitter (where the audio and sound split off) versus the microphone jack.
Other Thoughts: Detachable microphone is kind of useless to me

Awesome Headset
Pros: Excellent sound and very durable headset cant go wrong with this headset.
Cons: They have to be sitting just right on your ears or they'll hurt your ears after a coule hours, but once you figure out how to position them you'll have no problems with them.
Other Thoughts: For reasons I'm not going to mention i slammed this headset into the ground almost as hard as i could (left handed) they stayed in one piece, the left speaker didnt work, i took it apart and it was just a little piece that had come loose, put it back in place and put it back together and they work just as good as they did the day I got them. I am VERY impressed with the durability of this headset, I've done the same with other headsets needless to say it destroyed them beyond repair :)

Great headset & also very comfortable
Pros: Nice, clear sound. A little heavy on the bass, a removable mic is a nice touch, well padded all around.
Cons: The cord seems a bit thin. I can see why some of the reviewers said that it goes out after a while.
Other Thoughts: After reading all the reviews I was worry that it was gonna be a tight fit... guess I don't have a big head. lol Anyway, I love it. Used to have a pair of Plantronics which were huge and heavy. The Fatal1ty are lightweight and very comfortable (if you don't have a big head, that is).

it's true, bang for buck
Pros: my first try at a "gaming headset" was the medusa 5.1's. after i got the xfi fatality sound card, the 5.1 set up was worthless. the medusa's finally failed for the second time (go figure) and i wanted the biggest bang for my buck, and these have deliverd. deep base and great range. i mostly play bf2142 or CoD:W@W and with my fatality card this head set is awsome.
Cons: the mic....flex booms are alright but they get kinda "limp"
Other Thoughts: even if i have to buy one every twelve months....i would

Awesome headset
Pros: This is the best headset I have ever owned. The sound is awesome and you can really hear the base, the mic is clear and easy to remove and put back on. It fits really well, not too loose and not too tight. The cord is really long, I had enough length to run it behind my desk. The "leather" carrying case is also a plus.
Cons: It does start to get a little uncomfortable after a couple hours of gaming, but that's what you get with all circumaural headsets.
Other Thoughts: Other people have counted the ability to not move the mic up and down as a con, but the mic cord is EXTREMELY flexable, and when you bend it, it will stay in that position. I also don't mind the fatality logos. They're really not that big, and they seem to add to the style of the headset.
