Pros: Super long cord (you can do small chores while wearing these), pretty good bass, cheap price.

Cons: Like other people have said, the long cord can be a double-edged sword. I tend to run over it with my chair a good bit or get it stuck on something. These are also pretty bulky.

Other Thoughts: I used these for about 9 months before buying a set of Sony MDR-V6. I gave the MDR-XD200s to my sister and never looked back. If you have the money to spend (approx. $75), then I'd go with the MDR-V6 instead.

Rating + 5 not to bad at all..

Pros: good quality. not perfect, but its actually quite good.. especially for the price!
if you adjust your equalizer, you can pump quite a bit of bass out of them!.. yet still keep the treble.
my friend used them once listening to music, and he said they are 20x louder than his own headphones.
your ears could take a pretty good pounding with these....

Cons: feels cheap, real cheap....
the "movie/music" toggle doesn't do a thing.
sometimes the cord may be to long, but a twist tie (included) comes in good handy!
they're actually quite big...

Other Thoughts: actually spent about an hour searching through newegg, and this is the one i came up with that fit my budget.

Rating + 5 Good stuff.

Pros: This is a very comfortable headset, even for someone with a big head (like me)! It has plenty of cord length, durable, and has a very good quality sound. Another thing great about this headset is the size of the ear cups, too many headsets are tiny, these are nice and big.

Cons: The cord length can be a con as well as a pro, depending on the setup of your desk area.

Other Thoughts: I just taped the excess cord to an area on my desk to keep the cord from getting under my chair and being ruined, as this is what happened to my last one. This headset also has a nifty audio-type setting on the headset it self, I don't know how well it works though.

Rating + 5 Great Set of Headphones

Pros: Really a great set of Headphones. Of course I would not expect anything less from Sony. These headphones handle quite a bit of power. 1.5Watts to be exact. Their frequency responses are very wide which is a great for Studio uses. Wider Frequency means you can hear more than you usually can in a song. Of course some equipment still has their limitations but I have a very nice Yamaha Mixer here so I don't have to worry about that.

Cons: With all the pro's there are some cons. There is not much bass with these. I Personally don't mind because I am not a bass addict, and I can use my 3 band EQ on the mixer to solve that. The wire is a tad bit more thin then expected. Still though, sounds great. The head band can be odd at times. Proper adjustments are necessary. The plastic feels a tad bit cheap, but I am assuming with price, and for lightweight purposes, thats expected.

Other Thoughts: Don't let the price and the cons scare you away. I use these for monitoring for my radio station, AnimeAMAZE, and this set is perfect. Also, note in light of a few reviews; For humming, consider using a Ground Loop Isolator. For hissing, consider using a lower volume level and adjusting the wave slider on your mixer instead. Also The movie, Music switches on both ears works. If you have high end equipment I do, you will notice it.

Rating + 5 Great for the price

Pros: Light, comfortable, and sound is really good for the price. They certainly aren't the best sounding headphones, will be surprised how good they sound for how much you're paying. The long cable is nice since you can be mobile without having to take the headphones off.

Cons: Feels kind of fragile...

Other Thoughts: As mentioned above, it feels a bit fragile, but has been incredibly durable despite this. I've run over the cord, dropped them on the floor, and they still work great...

Rating + 5 good for the price

Pros: Good sound quality compared to the price.

Cons: Like everyone has said, the cord is kind of long. Not necessarily a con, unless you want to use them when you go jogging or something.

Other Thoughts: These are not dog proof! I bought these for my father, he liked them while they were whole, but the dog chewed them to shreds. They still work, but they're not very comfortable to wear. The long cord can be a pro or a con, depending on how you want to use them.

Pros: Extremely high quality sound, lots of depth & clarity. I use them for music mainly. Adjustable - very comfortable for long periods of use.

Cons: Cord tends to get stuck on things, not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I lost my old pair, this is my second.

Rating + 5 Amazing headphones

Pros: These headphones are great! I'm no audiophile, but they provide (from what I can tell) great range from the various things I've used them for. Music, Video Games, watching Movies on my computer. They aren't noise canceling per se, but they do a great job of reducing outside noise that you could otherwise hear. In short: Great headphones, especially for the price.

Cons: The cord is a billion miles long, seriously who needs that much cord!

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend these for the casual listener, unless your an audiophile, I don't think you'll notice much more improvement from these headphones unless you get some 100 dollar plus noise canceling ones.

Pros: Very good for it's price with a long cord and two kinds of adapters.
The earcups are very comfortable, especially considering I owned an uncomfortable headset for months before. I'll probably go deaf with these headphones. :p

Cons: Switches on earcups do not seem to do anything. The cord may be a bit too long for my purposes. Some buzzing at low volumes.

Other Thoughts: Excellent comfortable headphone considering their price. Packaging also very easy to open.

Pros: They have killer bass. Better than the porta pros from koss. great bass and mid tones.

Cons: a little heavy, and the idea of movie and music mode switch is just strange. not as good highs as i would like.

Other Thoughts: keep these things in movie mode all of the time otherwise the bass is not as deep.

Rating + 4 Good, but no cigar.

Pros: Ok, I just got this in the mail, and i create my own music through fruity loops, AND i have an X-Fi fatality gamer card. Now, the X-Fi creates exceptional bass tones, and just hooking this in to my PC, the sound is very crisp. The movie - music modes: There IS a difference, but it's slight. (Read: Not enough for you to care) Cords look sturdy, headphones are comfy and light, so they rest easy - great bang/buck.

Cons: Bass is not acceptable. If you like having a system in your car, and think you can get away with even coming close with these headphones, look for a different set. These just won't cut it - READ: NOT FOR AUDIOPHILES OR BASSPHILES

Other Thoughts: I had to increase the bass levels to max through my volume controls to get the bass on these headphones to REALLY come out. Otherwise, the bass on these cans just won't come out on it's own.

Pros: Comfortable, cheap, decent sound.

Cons: While the sound is decent it's nothing to write home about. Very long cord (too long). Movie/Music switch seems to do absolutely nothing. Plastic feels a bit on the cheap side.

Other Thoughts: The sound on these is fine for everyday use. They really are quite comfortable. I bought these as a back-up to my more expensive headphones, and they are a good set to rely on should I need them.

Rating + 5 Excellent Headphones

Pros: Excellent sound quality. There is only one cord coming off left side. They fit very comfortably on your head, they are light and put very little pressure around your ears. The speakers inside the ear cushions are angled so that they fit your ears better. The movie mode does add a bit more bass and the music mode makes the bass sound more natural as advertised. However its not really noticed until you actually switch from watching a movie to listening to music.

Cons: My biggest gripe is how long the cord is, I really didnt think it was going to bother me but it is getting to be extremely annoying. Sleeping with it is on is not the most comfortable experience unless you laying flat on your bad.

Other Thoughts: Excellent purchase for the $$$. I would buy them again.

Rating + 5 Best ones i own

Pros: comfortable--i have a big head, and many headphones are too tight. They are also the best sounding of any of the headphones I own. that means they beat one $100 pair of noise canceling headphones, a $50 pair of canal earphones, my sansa headphones...my jogging earphones, the zune headhphones...

Cons: none. they don't look that cool. actually, if you're wearing a hoodie, and these are hanging around your neck, they look cool.

Other Thoughts: i have had these for more than a year and i don't think that they're going to break. I've slept on top of them, rolled over the cord i don't know how many times, and just generally abused them.
@ the guy who says these are worse than his sansa headphones: i've compared them, and the sansa cheapos don't even come close. they start fuzzing out in the high range looong before these, and don't even come close to the bass quality.

Pros: Very comfortable for my head. The foam / padding is soft and fits my head well.

Pros: Looks pretty.

Cons: Gotta say, not built with the best materials(plastic are kinda cheap).
Sound isn't great. But then again, the headphones i had before these were $130, and this being $20, can't blame it. I think my iPod earphones sound better than this.

Other Thoughts: for $20, worth it.
can't get used to the sound....not so clear.

Rating + 5 Frequency Response 10-22,000Hz

Pros: They are comfortable. Broad Frequency Range. Deliver Excellent Bass and Treble. For the price extremely valuable, I am not sure there are a better pair of headphones for less or more money.

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: The headphones have a Frequency Response 10-22,000Hz and I believe that they deliver those frequencies. Other headphones don't seem to have this range. It's all about the frequency range and whether a headphone can produce those frequencies. These do deliver. As far as the cord, it is long, but not a con for me. I like the long cord. But don't let the cord be a factor stopping you from getting an excellent headphone.

Rating + 4 Buy These!

Pros: This particular set of headphones lasted me quite some time. They came with me to school on a daily basis, were dropped, the cord was stepped on, and there was much more abuse than normal. The headphones continued to work the same as they had the day of their arrival. I would recommend these headphones, to anyone, as they are fantastic for the price. The band that rests on the head is comfortable, as are the ear phones, and the cord is sturdy.

Cons: The only problem that I had with these headphones was that the cord was a ridiculous length, but that was easily fixed with twist ties, and/or other such materials.

Other Thoughts: When wearing these headphones, one can easily hear them creaking/making slight noises due to the fact that they are made out of plastic- nothing terribly noticeable or annoying.
A plus is that these can double as ear muffs in the winter(!)
Sound quality is far better than any I have experienced through ear buds, and the size, although large, is exceptionally comfortable. I cannot praise these headphones enough based on the price, and quality.

Rating + 5 Great Headphones

Pros: The Bass isn't too annoyingly high and can be widely adjusted via sound cards and on-board software. The sound feels truly surround when used with the right playback software.
They have lasted me quite long and still sound new.

Cons: The cable can be annoyingly long, but all I do it wrap it with twist-ties. The rattle a little, pointing towards cheaper materials.

For the price, these have no major cons.

Pros: Great sound and very comfortable. I used it to travel to Asia a month ago and I wore it for 12hrs straight and there were no problems.

Cons: Bulky. No major difference between Music and Movie mode. Extra long cord.

Other Thoughts: Movie mode adds a little bit more bass, but not very noticable.

Rating + 5

Pros: I have owned this headset for over two years. The sound still functions very well. The cord has been mashed, run over by chairs, stepped on, and bent at hard angles, but it has not damaged the quality of the output at all. It is a heavy headset, but it gives a more durable feel than the flimsy light ones, and has proven repeatedly to be the strongest and longest lasting headset I have ever owned.

Cons: The cord, at times, can be far too long. This is not a con, specifically, but merely a problematic personal issue -- my computer is on my desk, not across the room.

Other Thoughts: If you need a headset that will reach, and reach, then the cord on this will suffice. If you want something you could feel comfortable enough to fall asleep wearing, this will suffice. If you want something for a portable device, or something nearly invisible, this will definately not suffice.

Pros: I've owned this headset for almost 2 years, I am a gamer and this headset is constantly being put to the test being abused day in and day out. This headset is the longest lasting one i've EVER HAD!!! Wire is tough and headset is tough, the thing gets droped to the floor all the time, wires are long and get pulled on quite a bit. This thing lasts!

Cons: The bass on this thing isnt as vibrant as i would wish, for its price it will get u a long way. I have had the bass on this headset work good once, it doesnt work as good anymore. I've had this headset forever so maybe it lost bass over time

Other Thoughts: For its price its a great product, fits nice, If u have short/medium legnth hair the hole on the top will make ur hair stand up, like putting a hat on backwards. I am upgrading to an Icemat headset and might post another review between the 2 if i go back to this headset. I play counterstrike and can hear people all over the map, treble is great, Bass is soft but nice to listen to, can also get too loud for ears.

Pros: Very long cord, has a rubber cradle like thing which supports the weight of it on your head (easier to clean than that leather stuff), and comes with a matched 1/8" and 1/4" plug adaptor.

Cons: The plastic feels cheap and it looks very wide so it might not fit smaller heads very well.

Rating + 2 Updating...Downgrading

Pros: Price. OK for just plain headphones, good bass. Fairly comfortable, more so than I expected in this price.

Cons: Lacks clarity I expected and didn't realize until I really used. "Muddy" sounding, not recommended for studio applications. Heavy bass sounds, can be equalized for, but shouldn't have to be. When I first used, I created a special EQ preset for these headphones, but in use they are disappointing.

My earbuds that came with my Sansa MP3 player are far superior in sound quality, clarity, and crispness across the Hz spectrum.

Spend more $$ and get something else. I will put these in a drawer.

Other Thoughts: My previous review was more glowing, but this one is after month+ use, and comparison to a variety of other headphones in same price category.

Sorry for previous reviews, but experience is the best teacher.

Pros: Great headphones for the price. I use these for workout out on a stationary bike while watching TV, and they work great! The long cord is nice, and they aren't as uncomfortable as my Sennheisers which cost 3x as much. They are big, but not too heavy.

Cons: Not really a con, but the movie/music switch seriously doesn't do anything. Supposedly "movie mode" has extra bass...I can't hear it.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg shipping is great...got them the next day.

Rating + 2 A belt sander to my scalp would feel better.

Pros: They are cheap and sound reasonably good.

Cons: These are the most uncomfortable things that have ever sat on my head! The head phones are kind of heavy and they little rubber cushion at the top is next to useless. It is to long to provide any comfort. The plastic bars that support the speakers at the top ends up digging into my scalp. Even with my beanie on i have to constantly adjust to prevent my head from hurting!

Other Thoughts: They are cheap, they sound good, but they are probably the most uncomfortable headphones I have ever used.

Cons: Perhaps could be more comfortable, but for the money their good.

Rating + 4 Great Price/Performance

Pros: Sound quality is great. Cups are big enough to fit around my ears (My ears are large too). For the price of this product you're really getting a steal.

Cons: No volume control on the wire. The cord is rather long (like 6 feet). The Movie/Music switch is a waste, the sound difference is minimal to nonexistent. No mic.

Other Thoughts: Most of my cons can be negated assuming the person purchasing this product understands these headphones arn't necessarily meant for computer gaming. These are more for a DJing or stereo listening. However, they do make great computer headphones if your willing to sacrifice not having a mic, and controlling the volume via software.

Pros: These were good phone for this price.

Cons: The head band broke through improper use near the ear cup. The cups still work. For xx$ you should get the Sxxxheiser HD485 sold at Newegg as well. That is better if you can afford it. Actually that is the best. trust me, I researched a lot before buying earphones.

Pros: -Good quality sound. Not audiophile level but better than your average headphone, and sure to satisfy most.
-While plastic, still feel fairly sturdy, and I'm not worried about if they will break if dropped.
-I find the ear pieces comfortable and well suited to my ears.
-They are BIG. Which is cool.

Cons: -They are BIG. Which isn't cool. (depends on your point of view)
-My only concern about the construction is the hinge where the earpieces meet the frame. They seem like they could be easily rotated beyond the allowed angle and possible crack, but I'm not really worried about someone doing that to my headphones.
-The extra long cord is nice but it's hard to deal with the extra 6 feet of cord when you're using it with an MP3 player.
-Not great for keeping sound in or out.

Other Thoughts: -The Movie/Music switch DOES in fact do something contrary to what most people have been saying. If you listen closely you can hear that Movie mode brings the sound in slightly closer and back, while Music has the opposite effect. Nothing you'll notice or really care about though.

Rating + 3 Kind of good?

Pros: none

Cons: Like others have said these headphones feel extremely cheap, and they are huge, also the cups hurt my ears after extended use because they press against them instead of going around them, maybe I just have big ears?, and the head band on the top also hurts after a while, I am going to return them to the store I bought them from. Not satisfied with them at all. also the sound quality isnt that good, sounds muffled when listening to music, and the little music or movie button makes little difference.

Other Thoughts: My old Philips SBC HP550 have much better sound quality and they are quite old, only thing wrong with them is they broke a while back and are being held together with ducktape lol.

Rating + 4 Great for the price range

Pros: For only xx$ this is a great deal. They sound wonderful, love the comfort, definetly going to use these alot. I love bass, and these are producing just around what I like. Great long cord, so I can lay up in the loft away from the PC, or use my adapter to play gamecube and not get so close to the screen.

Cons: They aren't advertised as sound isolating, and they do leak sound alittle (compared to how LOUD I was playing it). I agree that it's alittle hard to distinguish what the switch does, to me the movie switch turns up the bass alittle.

Other Thoughts: My major intention of buying these was to block out all the noise from idiots on my dorm's floor. Putting these on maybe blocks 20% of the noise around you, but after turning on the music, it's more like 95% blocked outside noise. So for the price, and purpose for me, I believe they are excellent, especially compared to buying 200$ ones on a college budget.

Rating + 5 Great headphones!

Pros: Feels great, sounds great, it's just great! These are my first headphones that cup around your ear like this. All I've ever had up until now is just the thing you stick in your ear. These really feel good, they don't push, they cup around my ear perfectly. I've had them for less than a day and I already love them!

Cons: The only thing I have a problem with is the long cord, but my brother says "that's the only way to go", and I'm sure I'll get used to it. I also can't tell the difference between the 2 settings.

Other Thoughts: The cons really don't mean nothing, because for 20 bucks, these are just awesome.

Pros: sony's XD headphone line is nearly unmatchable for price to quality ratio. I've been using these for music and PS2 and they sound great and are comfortable.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: for 20 bucks I can't think of anything more they could improve on.

Pros: These headphones are great. No uncomfortable places on the ear parts and great audio quality.

Cons: Only the fact that i cannot tell the difference between the 2 audio settings on them, none.

Other Thoughts: You can get these things extremely loud if u want. I love them.

Rating + 4 Good for its price

Pros: In terms of price, great sound, great feel for them. Comfortable in average sittings (6 hours or so). Circumaural, so cups around my ears and not pushing it against my head.

Cons: Gets a little heavy after the first day, hurts the top of my head. It's flimsy and feels like it'll break easily. The cord can be too long sometimes..

Other Thoughts: For twenty bucks, it's pretty good compare to the hundred bucks ones. May hurt a little if you have big ears. It definitely gives some discomfort to the top of your head is the big con. If you're into looks, they're not great to take outside.

Rating + 2 Spend Your Money Else Where

Pros: The headphones are comfortable. They form a complete cup around your ear, which feels pretty good.

Cons: The headphones are massive. You could never wear them outside of your home (you'd look like a fool). They are also made of pretty cheap plastic, for their size they feel flimsy. But worst of all, the sound quality is pretty lousy (you can get better sounding headphones for $20). The treble sounds muddy, and there is virtually no base.

Other Thoughts: I returned the headphones after one day of use. I just can not recommend them. It's too bad, because Sony does make some decent inexpensive headphones, but this isn't one of them.

Pros: Completely covered my ears instead of pushing on them, great sound after some tweaking around my system, cheap

Cons: I thought they were a little low on the bass before changing some settings on my computer and ultimately upgrading from onboard sound to an audigy, they also make noise when you move too much(plastic clicking)

Other Thoughts: Before these I had a pair of sony v150's I got for one dollar less. These are miles ahead.

Rating + 5 Huge sound, Little price

Pros: This is a great product. The bass is good (not too loud) and the trebels are crisp. It is able to handle high power outputs without overblowing the drivers. They're also very comfortable, and the speakers are angled to the shape of your ear.

Cons: The sound reduction of ambient noise is next to nothing, but what can you expect from something so cheap? The headband can also get uncomfortable if not worn correctly.

Other Thoughts: For the sound quality these deliver, you can't beat the price. Also, because of their size (they're HUGE), they work great as ear-warmers. I kind of wish that the chord was a little shorter, though. The Movie/Music switches on the speakers are a little extraneous, too.

Pros: These headphones are great. I gave them as a gift and got to use them. They are light weight, great sound, the speakers point in the the curvature of your ear. They fit well well around the ear, no sharp plastic. also the end comes off the reveal a smaller plug for cd player and such.

Cons: just a little too expensive

Other Thoughts: The only reason I didn't rate this perfect is because newegg was actually slow or once. Personally I blame UPS. It took over a week to get to me.

Rating + 3 Wow... 20 bones?

Pros: Comfortable, lightweight, Music/Movie switch is pretty cool. Sturdy compared to lower end sony "studio" headphones. I always liked the 1/4" plug adapters from sony headphones. Looks more expensive than it really is. Suited to PC use. Matches my mixer/turntable setup.

Cons: Worst sound isolation from any full size headphone i've used. Inefficient sound drivers, my ipod is set to full blast and i really can't tell. Distorts bass and trebles in upper volumes when hooked up to my DJ mixer. Bulky, the size adjusters look like antennas. Makes me look like a dork.

Other Thoughts: I bought these as a home alternative to my canal ear buds. I could hear my cell phone vibrating on the table loudly with these (even with music playing). Nil when using my canal ear buds (min music volume). I might have to mod these with dynamat or something if i intend to keep them for the long haul.

Rating + 5 Cool

Pros: EXCELLENT bass, GREAT for movies. The sound for movies is very rich. Long cord (11 feet i think) if you're watching from a stereo system or something. An adapter for stereo systems is included (3.5mm to i-forgot-the-size mm adapter). Lightweight.

Cons: The cord is way too long and the headphones are way too big for mp3 use. But i'm guessing that these aren't meant to be portable anyway. For music and games, the sound quality is a bit lacking (maybe it's just the mp3 low-bit rate format), but as i said, the sound for movies is excellent. MESSES UP YOUR HAIR!

Other Thoughts: Overall, i think this is a great pair of headphones. I wanted one because my portable ear buds broke, so i got this. When i opened it, i was horrified at how long the cord was and how big they were. The quality for my ear buds were better for music and games, so i was going to return these. Then i watched a movie with them, and i changed my mind. I'm just gonna buy another set for portable use.

Pros: Light weight, sound quality and its switch connector.

Cons: If I really need to write one, I would say sometimes you will hear the sound become irritable when you turn the sound too loud. However, it just costs less than $xx; it is good enough.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product if you don't want to spend lots of money and want to have great sound quality as well. I bought this headphone and used to play Need for Speed 9 most wanted. It gives me a good feeling about the sound.

Pros: Very comfortable, Form to fit around the ears, Sound is above average. Long cord.

Cons: Made of Plastic, feel kinda loose sometimes. No padding for the top of the head.

Other Thoughts: These things are great for the price however the sliding switch on the sides of the earmuffs are made of plastic and doen't seem to make a difference between movie mode and regular. the whole top and side assembley is made of plastic which can have a cheap feeling to them, but they have worked great and held up fine so far. The trick to making these sound truly great is by tweaking with an equalizer settings. I use this for gaming mostly and with the right settings on an X-FI card these things sound great.

-not very sound isolating for headphones

Pros: Truly circumaural, padding cutouts shaped like ears, good construction, speakers angled to ear, nice cord length, cord/plug reasonably durable, sturdy head adjustment

Cons: The Sound Mode selector is a bit gimmicky

Other Thoughts: I'm not one who likes to spend a lot of money on headphones, mostly due to the fact that they are easily broken. I am very pleased with these headphones, particularly how comfortable they are. I have never had a pair of headphones where the speaker itself was angled to hug the ear to keep in all the sound, until these. I highly recommend them.

Pros: 1.) Excellent sound response
2.) Fairly light
3.) Sleek looking
4.) Longer cord (at home/computer use)

Cons: 1.) Hollow plastic gives it a cheap feeling
2.) Longer cord (a hassle if you wear these for on the go)
3.) Pretty bulky/thick

Other Thoughts: Overall these headphones are really good. The sounds that come out of these are excellent, making them a great at-home set of headphones for the computer or a entertainment system. I would not recommend however getting these if you're looking for something to take around, as they are bulky, made of a kind of cheap plastic, and the cord is like 200ft long. Other than that, a great pair of headphones-

Pros: -Light. Comfy. Great bass, treble, overall great sound reproduction.
-LONG cord (is it 9'?... seems about right)

Cons: If someone wanted to kill you while wearing these, they could use the cord...

Other Thoughts: Despite the craze for microscopic electronics, these work great for my mp3 player.
I use these largely on buses going to and fro, and these are the ONLY headphones that have successfully blocked out all outside noises entirely (hobos screaming, engine noise, etc...)

Pros: Light. You can hardly tell that you are even wearing these headphones.
They cover your ears which is great for blocking out noise and co-workers. Sound quality is good for the price

Cons: Sound might be a slight bit bass heavy for some.

Other Thoughts: I buy cheap headphones for work. I've gone through several headphones in the 15-30 price range. Nothing tops these. They are super light and the cans fit OVER your ear in a way that doesn't have to be comfortable because its like your not even wearing them. I did not buy them from Newegg, but i buy a lot on here and i rec. this product to anybody looking for cheap, comfortable, full sized cans.

Pros: These headphones are light, comfortable and they sound awesome. They are great for light studio work like monitoring recordings and listening to music/movies, etc. I think anything between fifty and two-hundred bucks nowadays is expensive and inferior. Go for inexpensive and good if you can't get professional-grade headphones

Cons: None, except they may be too light - some people prefer heavy headphones for whatever reason.

Pros: EVERYTHING!!!

First I would like to apologise to those that are having issues with their headphones. But you must have gotten a defective pair.

I have been using mine everyday since I got them in, and I am so very impressed with them specially for only costing 20 bucks.

There are a lots of people that say they can't tell any difference between movie and music mode. At first I have to agree I thought oh thats a waste of plastic :) but then i started playing CS:S and actually listening to more music. I found that the only difference i could tell was the bass. Songs with more bass sound better in movie mode then music.

And they are not tight against your ears, they are so comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Cons: There are no cons

Other Thoughts: I have been looking for some old headphones from realistic

Model "Realistic Pro 60's"

I searched and searched and just decided to go with these because of the price. And I would have to say that these headphones actually have a little richer sound to them. I couldnt be happier with these.

Thanks Newegg. You never sieze to amaze me :)

Pros: Awesome sound quality for this price. Stylish, VERY COMFORTABLE, "circumaural" (meaning the pads go around your ears, instead of sitting on them as in "supra auraeal" types which can be uncomfortable), high and mids are good.

Cons: Bass is good on these, but if you want good bass and more quality, go for the Sennheiser HD485 also available here for ~$70 at time of writing. Thats eqaul to a $150 pair of phone.

Rating + 5 great for lan

Pros: Excellent sound for the price. BASS is very good, Highs a bit muffeled but with a little tweaking with Sound Blaster got them just right. I bought 6 of these for playing LAN games (since we don't play games that require mikes) Everyone that has used these headphones was impressed with the sound quality. One of the reasons I considered these was the cord length (over 10 ft long). Sounds decent with MP3's and Movies.

Cons: Hmmm.. The movie/music switch is supposed to change the sound (bass boost in music mode) but I noticed no difference. When playing Call of Juarez there was popping sound when using a shotgun at close range.

Other Thoughts: The best buy I have seen for the money. I buy 6 or more new headphones a year due to getting torn up a bit with LAN parties. Hopefully these will last more than a year..

Pros: These sound great compared to other headphones in this price range. They are lightweight, and comfortable on the ears.

Cons: HUGE CON - due to the squarish nature of the headphones and the hard plastic piece, after only 1 day (maybe about 7 hours use total), I will be returning these (to the "bullseye" retail store I bought them at) as they left a fairly deep dent at the top of my head.

Other Thoughts: The sound mode switch doesn't do much except for add bass when on movie mode.

Pros: True reproduction (I know that this is old school) but it's as close to I can get to todays way of putting it!

Cons: Not pretty for mp3 nonsense

Other Thoughts: I use these for experiments in Binaural beats brainwave entrainment, and they are A1+ for true reproduction.

Anyone that doesn't like them for mp3 players doesn't realize how much information is lost when wave files are converted to mp3 files.

I don't go by sound but by effect. And trust me, the brainwave entrainment effects are right on!

Grab them now before Sony starts building them for the lowest common denominater.

Pros: Reasonably crisp highs, fair low end punch. I bought this set so I had sound when I wasnt using my Klxxxch 2.1 setup. I was fairly impressed by the sound quality for such a low price.

Cons: Cord is long but thin and cheap. They lasted me 6 months until a short in the cord did them in. I replaced with Sxxxeheiser HD212pro's. twice the price twice the sound quality. Though flexible the band plastic seems like it could be broken easily.

Other Thoughts: The sound/music switch just opens up a small port in the headphone effectively taking it from sealed to ported.

They offer fair comfort and noise cancelation.

Rating + 4 Great buy for the money

Pros: Great price obviously. And for the most part they sound really good. Has a nice long cord which personally is good for my situation. I've also notice no discomfort while wearing them for extended periods of time, they are very light and fit comfortably over the ears.

Cons: If there is heavy bass and you have the volume up the bass can get bogged down. Also the music/movie switch is more of a novelty than anything. I've found that while grabbing the phones to put them on I accidentally flip one or the other of them so I've gotten in the habbit of double checking the position after I put them on. IMO they should just ditch the switch.

Other Thoughts: This is a great set for the money. Since my purchase I've been told the Sennheiser HD202's sound better. In hindsight I wish I'd just ordered those instead since they are just a few bones more. Also unlike what some people have said the music/movie switch does indeed make a slight difference in regards to letting more of certain bass frequencies through. However as I already stated it seems to be more of a novelty than a useful function.

I'm hearing sounds and lyrics in MP3s(!) that I've never heard before despite having heard the MP3s dozens of times before on my computer speakers or other headphones.

I'm buying two more for my girlfriend and mom :)

Seriously, you can't go wrong with these cans.

Rating + 4 Great for money

Pros: For as big as these are, they are amazingly comfortable, the headband makes the weight rest on your head rather than ears, which is a big plus, definitely the most comfortable headphones of this size I've ever worn. Sound quality is pretty good for the price. I am pleased with the overall sound and bass response of these headphones, but read on for more.

Cons: Not as clean on the high end as I'd wished. But I am super picky about high end sounds. I am one of those people that can hear well above the standard human "limit" of 20KHZ, I can hear up to roughly 25KHZ so your mileage may vary. Also they are definitely audible to other people in the room which might bother some. Not a con for me, as I got them to avoid disturbing the neighbors at night which I've been reported for twice -.-; Also you might look a little goofy in public, again not a concern for me.

Other Thoughts: A couple of things about the so-called "Sound mode switch". First of all, and I don't mean to insult anybody, but to those of you who say it doesn't do anything, you do know there are two switches, one on each earphone right? I didn't at first but when I found the second and changed both at once theres a defined difference. In Music mode its the most natural, but bass can be a little weak. Movie mode allows more bass through, however in some cases this can cause the 'phones to "bottom out" and distort. Something in between might be nice, but for 20 bucks I'm not complaining (much).

Rating + 4 Great sound at a good price

Pros: These sound very open and true - I was impressed.

Cons: There is only a rubber strap for cushion, so they can be uncomfortable if you put them on wrong.

Other Thoughts: The cord is 10ft long, and this can be good or bad. It's great for use with a computer but annoying with an mp3 player. These are not especially well-made headphones, but they are just fine for my purposes (especially considering the price).

Pros: I doubt you will find headphones that sound this good within this price range. Quite comfy too.

Cons: The cussions are coated in that fake leather material, which always rubs off after a year. It's embarassing when someone tells you that you have some black thing hanging off your ear, and it turns out to be a shred of that rubbery stuff. Once this starts to happen, just take an old toothbrush and dry-scrub off all that you can from the phones. It's still comfy cloth cussions underneath, which is the way it should be from the start.

Rating + 4 descent cheap headphones

Pros: lightweight, comfortable, clean sound. Nice long, thin cord. 1/4" adapter.

Rap/Hip Hop sounds fine with bass turned up. Heavy rock guitars sound good, but deep bass in rock is a little weak.

Cons: Needs a little more deep bass, even when using an equalizer (to turn the bass up) it isn't as loud and rich on the low end (below 50-60 Hz) as I'd wish, but it is clean, tight bass and sounds natural.

Other Thoughts: But for the price you can't say these are bad headphones or that the bass issue is even a con b/c you get what you pay for (plus it's hard for headphones to reproduce deep bass loud and accurately anyway). If you're picky about your sound quality I do recommend buying something a litle more expensive, but these are a nice cheap set none-the-less. Oh, and the movie/music selection switch is worthless. Just some lame crossover that when set to movie mode allows more bass, but just makes it muddy sounding, so just leave it on music.

Cons: Much to be desired in highs and lows. movie/music switch doesnt do anything, must be some cheap crossover.

Rating + 5 Ridiculously Amazing

Pros: Great clear sound, great bass, great comfort. Great brand name product. I bought two. You won't regret it.

Cons: The cord is thinner than most stereo headphones (not fragile though)

Other Thoughts: It's great stereo headphones for a cheap price. Get it if you're looking.

Rating + 5 Excellent for th eprice

Pros: Sounds great, highs are not overbearing and I can feel the lows, just as it should be. They feel comfortable, but I haven't gone the long haul yet, which is where many headsets tend to fail.

Cons: This is not really much of a con, but really could do without the switch. Never had it before, never seen it on other headsets, never needed it, and probably never will. I'll let my system EQ handle the EQ things ;)

Other Thoughts: It's difficult to tell the difference between movie and music mode, but the difference is there. The movie mode gives a bit thicker bass, and the music mode sounds a bit more natural. I don't suspect this is a feature I'll pay much attention to.
