Not so great
Pros: They sound relatively good, and they aren't uncomfortable.
Cons: Noise canceling is weak, adds a hiss sound.
Other Thoughts: They broke today after more than a year, but at no fault of its own. My kitten chewed through the wire. I won't be getting them again, I'm looking for something different.

Decent
Pros: Decent sound quality for price. Good for average quality mp3's, movies, etc. Have not noticed the uncomfortable feeling everyone else has had, been wearing for 5 hours (even with my big head - 7 1/4 hat size). Comes with airplane jack adapter.
Cons: Feel cheap (and light). Noise cancelling seems to be nothing more than a hiss added to everything. Took battery out, don't even bother with that part. Don't really fold up (earpieces spin). Carrying case is a cloth/fake leather bag (no real protection from outside forces). Had to play with EQ a bunch to get them to sound good.
Other Thoughts: Got these to replace a set that broke during a move. Had to go with this temp solution until I get more money in the ol' bank account. I was actually surprised by the sound quality, I expected horrible sound. I don't really travel, so the NC and the carrying case don't matter much to me. Next set will be wireless (like you all care about that).

Pretty much complete junk..
Pros: Noise canceling, cheap..
Cons: Break easily, short cord, "noise canceling" makes wining noise sometimes.
Other Thoughts: I bought these, and they were great.. for a while. The noise canceling started to make noises randomly, which was really quite annoying. I finally had to shut it off.
These dropped off of my desk, and literally broke in half. I put it back together, and from that point forward they continued to break whenever I tried to expand them. Then the cheap plastic casing broke, completely cracked in half. Very cheap, junky. Would not recommend these to anybody. Would not give them to a homeless man.

Good Quality
Pros: Headphones sound GREAT when hooked up to PC w/ Creative audio console settings - Headphones, CMSS2, and if you want to hear these headphones at their best turn on "Drum & Bass" under the EAX Advanced EQ
Cons: Noise Cancellation Marginal
Bass somewhat low in non-PC applications (MP3 Players and such).
Other Thoughts: Good Headphones for the price, highly reccomended for PC use.

Noise canceling ineffective
Pros: Nice carry pouch
Cons: Noise canceling feature ineffective
Other Thoughts: Tried it at home and could still hear my A/C. Probably won't be effective in a plane. I am returning it.

Nice Headpones: But could be more comfortable
Pros: Nice design (apart from earpads), good sound quality, on-off switch on phones (not cord), ample cord.
Cons: May be my big ears, but after a few minutes (15-30) they become uncomfortable and after an hour, I need a break.
Other Thoughts: I will look for something more comfortable for next Noise Cancelling Headphones purchase.

Pros: Very good headphones. they cancel out the sound real well. I use it during plane travels and it's very good at cancelling the noise. Sound quality improves too.
Cons: The ear padding gets uncomfortable after long use. So for long plane rides, your ear starts to hurt...

Good, Inexpensive Starter NC Headphones
Pros: Decent noise cancelling. Battery in headset. Comfortable; nicely padded foam and adjustable height. Includes airline adapter and carrying bag.
Lots of bang for the buck.
Cons: No in-line volume control. Don't fold up as compact as I'd like.
Other Thoughts: I bought these to try to make airline travel more comfortable. I used them on a recent trip, which had two flights each way of 1.5 and 3.5 hours. They worked well given their design, drastically reducing but not eliminating the engine and airflow noise, but could still hear announcements, etc. With the residual background noise, I did not notice the common NC hiss. The sound quality was good. They were quite comfortable which was one of my concerns as I have a fairly large head.
I wish there was an in-line volume control, so I wouldn't have to keep adjusting it on the player.
Another desire is that they fold more compactly. The phones swivel to lay flat, but they still take up a lot of space in your carry-on.

A good value
Pros: Comfortable, quality construction, good fidelty and noise reduction. The dual jack adapter has a nice feature allow it change to a single 3.5mm stereo adapter.
Cons: These would not be acceptable to a critical audiophile. A slight white noise hiss comes through with NC on.
Other Thoughts: Anything better than these is 2 to 5 times more expensive, and I found everything else in this price range unacceptable. Don't expect these to reduce all sounds. Anything above 1KHz comes through. Being an open air design there is virtually no passive niose reduction. I tried these while riding in an automobile and it did a nice job removing the road noise, I expect these will be nice on my next flight.
