Rating + 5 WOW! Awsome! A++ for Sennheiser

Pros: These are pretty dang sweet! They get excellent range. With the receiver in the living room I was able to go to the bathroom and upstairs and outside all while jamming to my music *minor static here and there, when far away or something was blocking the signal like the refrigerator*
It has multiple channels for up to 3 pairs of the same type of device. Buy 1-2-or 3 it doesn't matter, everyone gets their own music w/o interferance.
quite good sound quality for low-medhigh range *of course high volume distorts some*

Cons: 1.They are big, prepare to look like you have a boombox attached to each ear.
2. They get a little uncomfortable after 1 1/2 hours or so
3. The volume button is very close to the channel search button, I accidentally start searching for diff channel when i want to turn it down. Easy fix.. just adj. the volume and it goes back the chan your on.
4. Not enough bass imo.. I like it deep, but who needs to be deaf at 40?

Other Thoughts: I am quite pleased with my purchase. These were bought because my sony headphones decided to partially die. My sony's could only make it about 15 feet b4 fading out of range, these headphones just keep on going. For the price these headphones are far superior in every way to my sony IR set. There is a slight static sound when music stops, but that is minimal, pretty much a standard with wireless. They are a tight fit, i can sling my head around and they wont fall off.

Rating + 5 Hear here!!!!!

Pros: Got these for my dad, who is most hard hearing. We couldn't carry on a conversation in the living room if he was watching TV. He never takes them off. He wears them to the bathroom so he doesn't miss anything.

Cons: None

Rating + 5 Great Headphones!

Pros: These are amazing! They are light weight so they don't bother your head. The ears are very soft and fit over my ears great! The charging station is really easy, just put the headphones on it and in an hour or so the headphones are completely charged and ready for several hours of music. You can use 3 of these in the same area without interference due to the optional channel switch.

These sound as good as the HD555 headphones which are a hundred dollars more and wired.

Cons: Some interference if you turn the volume on the headset up and the source volume down. To correct this, keep the headphones about 50% volume then adjust the source to change how loud they are. Wish these had an Optical input.

Other Thoughts: Great Headphones from a great company! You will not be disappointed if you get these!

Rating + 4 Great for TV

Pros: Great sound quality, and comfortable to wear. Used primarily with TV for Tivo and Guitar Hero. Wife wears while exercising.

Cons: Battery saving features turns off after a period of no audio, which was an issue using this Teamspeak.

Rating + 5 I love em!

Pros: Wireless. I'm in love with these headphones! I bought them because i was looking for a pair of wireless heads that would actually beat some of my wired headphones and that's what i got! sound great on my 360 and on my computer. I can walk to the mailbox (down the street and STILL get quality sound. Buy these!!

Cons: they don't work when i drive to the store with em on, Darnit!

Rating + 3 Don't expect much

Pros: I can listen to TV (news, sports) while I do other things without disturbing others. The audio quality is good enough and they are comfortable. Used many hours each day for over a year without any problems, except reception.

Cons: Beyond 15 feet these will cut in and out, depending on orientation. They work 50 feet away if I turn and keep my head positioned just right.

Other Thoughts: This is my third set of wireless headphones over the past decade. None of them have great wireless reception so don't expect much. If you need them these should be OK.

Rating + 5 Sweet

Pros: Basically everything. Wall mountable, adapter and multi-functionality. Always a good thing in my book. Plus, They work. Put the Receiver in a high place. I have the 926MHz Variant, don't know how to specify on newegg as honestly I found it on a personals ad listing site for $xx. Sweet deal, best headphones I've ever owned. I can basically walk all around my paper thin wall house all the way outside to the public sidewalk and still get decent reception (if not better outside). It can be plugged into mp3 players that receive FM signals, and you can basically get FM wirelessly and not even have to hold the mp3 player. This is a really convenient thing for me. Remember to wall hang it in a nice place not near any large metal objects.

Cons: None, buy some pre-charged duracell triple AAA's and avoid charging the generic brand batteries, works great out of the box. The price for the batteries..ehhh..

The only thing I can think of that can be bad is using it with handhelds you have to plug in the wire and it basically defeats the point, but I guess there is still some advantage of no wire to the headphones. Still, we need to explore wireless RF 3.5mm/6.5mm dongle's too, so we can have true handhelds. Not really a con of the product, just a thought not for other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I've owned many sennheiser headphones in the past (two wired sets at the moment) but never wireless. This was pure bliss for my first time using wireless headphones. As konaj said they set in very well and some static or interferance is expected, you should check your location and make sure no solid objects (like brick walls) or many electronics (Tv's, phones, etc) which can cause problems. However these are the Best headphones i've ever had, better then my wired 465's (plus no wire to noose yourself on).

Rating + 4 Good, but not great

Pros: 80% of the time it gets crystal clear reception and the sound quality is great. I wear the headphones at work and my base it literally 1-2 feet from me most of the time. I can wear them all around the office and get pretty good reception. I forget I'm wearing them - they fit so comfortably! My ears don't get hot or sweaty.

Audio response is pretty good. I'm a wannabe audiophile (don't have the money to afford the habit) and it's probably not acceptable for a true audiophile.

Cons: 20% of the time there's either a fading in/out sinusoidal high-pitched static (lasts about 1-2 seconds) or periodic static "thumping" (you could put a beat to it!). And yes - I crank up the volume on the source (my laptop) to the max and adjust the volume on the headphones instead. It's annoying, but I guess I can live with it. It *may* be due to interference from my monitor and DC power supply, but monitors don't typically cause interference like that and the DC power supply is off most of the time.

Also, I have a smaller head than average, so when I've gone into the restroom wearing them (I forget...) and walk by the mirror, I look a little ridiculous. But that's just me looking ridiculous, not so much the headphones. They just look big on me.

Other Thoughts: Bought them elsewhere for cheaper (and refurbed), probably wouldn't spend $130 on them.

Still better than the setup I had before, with a short headphone wire connected to the laptop that kept getting caught and tearing my ears off as I rolled around my desk.

Rating + 5 Got these for my 83yo mother

Pros: I purchased these in mid 2007 for my 83 year old mother who is becoming somewhat hard of hearing. I was not expecting too much from these but hopeful that she could at least watch TV with us. Well, these things are great. They are used at about 12 feet from the transmitter and have excellent sound quality (for TV/DVD) with little to no noise when tuned properly. I use them myself when I want to watch something late at night and not disturb the rest of the house.

Cons: If not tuned correctly they can periodically get loud bursts of noise (deafeningly loud). This is a bit of a problem for my technically challenged 83/yo mother. No cons other than that.

Other Thoughts: I am buying another set for her bedroom TV. These are a great buy if used in the correct context.

Rating + 3 Make the hissing stop

Pros: I like the design. It's very light, and the buttons on the back don't really bother me.

Cons: As mentioned in many reviews, there's a dramatic hissing when the volume is turned all the way up, which means you're stuck with 50% or less output. It's suited for watching tv and movies, but sadly not really for music.

Other Thoughts: I may return these, as they have not filled my needs.

Rating + 1 Constant hiss / noise

Pros: It fails to deliver the most basic thing - sound, so it doesn't really have any pros.

Cons: You don't have to be an audiophile in order to hear the constant hiss in the background. And no, you don't even have to be on full volume to hear it, in fact, even if the volume is very low you can still hear it. Any movement of the head will also produce a noise signal which is added to the hiss. I own 3-4 Sennheiser products, I like their wired products a lot, but in this case, they failed, miserably. The fake suede adds a really weird feeling to the headphones as well, whats wrong with normal foam?

Other Thoughts: There was no blockage between me and the headphone, I was less than 6 feet away from the base, in clear line of sight. I am returning this product.

Rating + 4 Noise over sound Ratio

Pros: You can walk around the house with them, Rather good sound quality from a wireless set, i guess thats why they are called wireless...

Cons: Low bass response, all wireless has low bass response, yet this one is better then the rest. cell phones interfere with them but they interfere with everything.

Other Thoughts: about the static, if you use them and you hear static, thats because you dont know how to use them, theres a thing called noise over sound ratio, you have to adjust the sound on the computer till its all the way up and adjust them on the headset, not the other way around, if you do it my way you wont hear static, if you still want to do it the other way then darwin loves you.

Rating + 5 High Quality Performance

Pros: Easy to setup, and the quality of the sound is outstanding when plugged into the TV audio output, no hiss unless you are 50-60 feet from the transmitter but even then it is not bad. The charging cradle works well. The signal indicator lights are handy: the red lite for charging, the green lite tells you when you have a good signal, and the orange lite indicates your signal is too strong or too weak. The ability to switch between 3 channels is especially useful when you have another RF wireless headphone running in the same room. The auto channel search and learning capability is impressive. The ear cushions are comfortable and the controls easy to reach. And,the icing on the cake, the headphones arrived in two days!

Cons: When I connected the phones to the video audio output on my Sony entertainment center/amp, I experienced a lot of annoying hiss. However, when I plugged the phones directly into the audio output on the TV, the quality of the sound improved 100%. Sound quality, when plugged into the phone-jack on the entertainment center, was better than the video audio-output, but not nearly as good as the direct connection to the TV.

Other Thoughts: A previous commenter complained about the difficulty of plugging the power jack into the back of the transmitter stand, but I found it quite simple and experienced no difficulty at all. I wish that Sennheiser produced a unit with two
headphones working off one transmitter.

Rating + 3 Average

Pros: Wireless, rechargeable, easy to use.

Cons: Annoying hiss, had my computer output on max and the headphones at about 50% and it was unbearable. What's worse is when you tilt your head back and forth, there's a lot of interference and you hear a lot of static. Extremely annoying.

Not a huge problem, but the volume knob was really easy to accidentally bump up and down while taking them on and off (mostly when resting it around my neck).

The SRS was a joke, didn't do anything but make it sound like I was listening from inside a carpeted box.

Other Thoughts: I used them mostly in a dorm room so the interference from all the dorm mates/high density of people and electronic devices probably messed with it a bit.

I don't have anything against Sennheiser, I bought some 280HD Pro's and it was well worth it.

Rating + 1 Cheap but definitely not worth it

Pros: Cheap, long lasting rechargeable batteries, wide range between heaphones and transmitter.

Cons: Not really a big con but waiting 16 hours for the batteries to fully charge on first time use. The volume and sync buttons are too close to each other. SRS mode is pretty much useless as it creates kind of hollow sound for movies and has some very notable hiss for music.

Other Thoughts: The first day I bought these headphones they were a headache to sync up with the transmitter. I sitting not even 3 feet from the transmitter and had my speakers almost at full blast yet my transmitter still wouldn't pick up a signal. Finally after about 2 hours trying to fix the problem I moved the transmitter 3 feet to the right of where I originally had and miraculously they decided to work. But after using them for a couple of hours the sound would randomly drop out and I would have to sync up the headphones again. They were fully charged and any channel I tried nothing worked. Save your money and go with a brand you would trust. This is my first and last purchase of any product made by Sennheiser

Rating + 5 Good Headset

Pros: I have used these phones for a couple of weeks for watching TV. The audio quality is excellent. Some users have complained of not enough bass response, however for my ears, there is far too much bass. I suspect that folks who complain about too little bass think that quality music MUST have pounding bass in order to be acceptable.
Wireless hissing and unwanted noise is not a problem if you are stationary and sound quality is excellent, however if you move around you can expect some RF noise that comes and goes-this is normal for low wattage wireless devices. This noise level is tolerable when moving around. If you want a quality signal while moving around, get an Mpeg player or an iPod. If you have minor hearing loss, get the 140s. I have a fat head, and they are very comfy. Controls are for nimble fingers.
Surrond sound effects are not as good as a theater system delivers, but for headphones, I am impressed.

Cons: Make sure the metal strips in the headband touch the metal rack which is necessary for the batteries to charge. I have found that placing the earpieces to the rear of the charger work best.
An issue to be aware of is using the Surround Sound feature with an amp/receiver that also has Surround Sound. I found that voices were nearly lost with both Surround systems on, so you may have to experiment with which works best with your system.

Other Thoughts: With the exceptions noted above, the sound quality is excellent, and overall I am very pleased with performance.

Rating + 4 Good sound smart design

Pros: Smart design good sound. Range seems good even through walls. Comfortable lightweight and easy set up and charger / transmitter is well thought out design. So far I love 'em.

Cons: Sometimes it seems to lose connection when I am not even moving around. Probably something I have interfering so may not be fair observation.

Other Thoughts: I made this purchase based on my researching reviews. I found no other product of this type that was so universally liked by the people who bought them. I feel I have made a good selection.

Pros: These headphones are very nice. Solid feel, but not too heavy. Battery life is good, they are comfortable, and they sound great.

Cons: Walking around the house with these on, I get some interference, and the sound cuts out occasionally, but that is to be expected with wireless.

Other Thoughts: These are the most expensive set of headphones I have owned, so I can't comment on their sound quality vs. high end headphones, but they sound great to me.

Pros: I'm using these RF SENNHEISER RS130 headphone's for about a week now and they are Stupendous. The range is great, as I wear them while I cut the grass to listen to music. Rating + 2 Poor performance

Pros: Decent overall sound quality when within 15 feet of base. Easy access to volume and tuning knobs on right earpiece. Very long battery runtime. Choice of connecting via RCA leads or using mic jack adapter.

Cons: Static and hiss begin at 15 feet away from base even in the same room, 2 rooms away they cut out completely at a distance of only 50+ feet. Re-positioning the base and attempting to remove all sources of interference did little to resolve the problem. Headset is uncomfortable for long periods of use, such as more than 30 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Overall a poor value, especially for the price. An IR set would be a better choice than these since you have to remain in the same room as the base with these, the IR sets line of sight transmission wouldn't be a problem. Disappointing considering the usual quality of
Sennheiser's audio equipment.

Rating + 5 Best Wireless Headphones - A Must Buy !!

Pros: Everything, These headphones are great. Best sound quality I have ever heard from wireless headphones. Soud good no matter what I use them for, TV, DVD, Music or Gaming. If you are looking for a solid pair of wireless headphone these are what you are looking for. Don't buy the cheap ones at best buy, because you do get what you pay for. Spend the extra monay and buy these.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Don't listen to any negative comments about these headphones, they work great. If you know how to properly hook them up and have good quality components to connect them to, then you will love this set.

Rating + 3 RS130

Pros: Extremely comfortable, light, I barely notice I'm wearing them sometimes. Voice chat for gaming is crisp and clear. (If the volume on the headphones isn't to high to hear the hissing.)

Cons: Disappointed in the lack of volume. If I turn it up to high I can hear a very annoying hiss... Which I for one can't stand. I have my media player volume max and pc volume max and still they just seem to quite. I listen to a lot of heavy metal so I like my music loud. And turning these up max just ruins the experience. In the back of my head I keep picking up the hissing. Tried adjusting channels, and still theres the hiss.

Other Thoughts: Not what I expected from a $xxx+ pair of Sennheiser headphones. Might return and get some new pc speakers. Maybe a new sound card will help?

Pros: Good sound quality. Comfortable fit. Outstanding range. I believe it exceeds the 330ft distance.

Cons: The only cons are the volume and tuning buttons are too close together. The surround sound is so so.

Other Thoughts: These are replacing some acoustic research headphones that have served me well for the past 3 years until I dropped an iron bar on them at work. I use the headphones 7 hours out of an 8 hour day at work listening to music. It's in a metal building with lots of machines. I give them a good workout. These rs130's are a couple of steps better than the acoustic research. Very glad I bought these.

Cons: Some hiss is unavoidable, a bit bulky on your head

Great distance from dock, I was able to pick up signal through 3 walls and 300 feet. Very easy to recharge, just set them in dock. Well worth $100.

Pros: Great quality, no wires (so i don't think they will break on me like everything else with wires :D )

Cons: The static, as others have mentioned there is static on these at higher volumes, i would say anything over 50% has it, you you want good audio quality keep the volume at 50% and it will sound excellent

Other Thoughts: The static is annoying, many people say they only hear it when its silent, well i don't, you can hear it whenever anything is playing and you have the volume up. For me this is not a problem as they are loud enough that 50% volume is all i want, but if your the type of person who likes to listen to their music at ridiculously high volumes then you will want wired stuff as you will clearly hear the static with these

Pros: High audio quality, recharging stand, auto-on/auto-off feature when sound is detected/undetected, comfort, range.

Cons: hiss at high volume when no sound is being played (everybody complains about this), ears get hot and cramped after wearing headphones for more than 2 hours, loud 5 beeps when turning off or no sound detected.

Other Thoughts: This is a great pair of headphones, and even though they are not perfect, they are worth the money. I live in a crowded apartment, and these are perfect for that environment because they block out external noise and deliver high quality remote audio without annoying your neighbors. Ideal for late night entertainment and workouts. The volume button is at the back, and people complain about it adjusting when you lean back against a pillow, but I prefer this, so I'm different.

Rating + 5 Excellent, but wireless isn't perfect

Pros: Sound quality is great, and does not drop off with distance (as long as the signal is strong enough for audio, quality is great). They're also comfortable to wear, and quite light. Hiss can be controlled, and is usually not loud enough to be heard if the volume is low.

Cons: There is evident hissing even at moderate volumes, and it is unbearable at high volumes. Of course the solution is to have the headphones at low and the source at high, but some media has poor audio, even with the correct codecs, and requires everything to be maxed, which is not possible with these headphones.
Moving and not hearing lots of static is hit or miss. Sometimes I can run and keep the signal, and other times I simply turn my head and am treated to firecracker-esque sound.
The range claim is also very optimistic. I get maybe 15-20 m tops without degradation of signal.

Other Thoughts: Despite all the cons, these are very good headphones. Wireless headphones are obviously an immature technology, and the RS130s reflect that. But not having a headphone cord out to kill you is alone worth 5 stars; excellent audio quality and comfort are just icing on the cake.

Rating + 4 Good, not great. More like a 3.5 out of 5.

Pros: Very comfortable. Recharge simply by setting headphones on the stand, this is a great feature. I can go anywhere in my house with these on and do not loose any signal strength, even the basement.

Cons: There is a noticeable hiss when the volume on the headphones is turned up too high. So, it is better to leave headphone volume around 60% and adjust volume with the device you have the headphones connected to. Auto-volume scaling is terrible!

Other Thoughts: The audio quality is great, I would say amazing considering they are wireless. You most consider the two cons I have listed above though, which ultimately subtract from the overall quality. Are the RS130's worth the price difference when compared to the RS120's? I do not know, I have never used the RS120's. Given the choice I would purchase the RS130's again.

Rating + 5 Good Quality Headphones

Pros: The headphones and stand are small and easy to hide when not in use. The quality seems very good and the sound is excellent for TV use. I connect via RCAs to the comcast DVR and everything sounds great. If you plan to listen to a video game, then the connection would be at either the TV or game console.

Cons: The controls are located on the back of the unit, so you have to re-learn how to sit back in the chair to avoid changing the volume. There is a small amount of static when I move, but I quickly goes away.

Other Thoughts: I would buy again. The only improvement would be to change power, volume and channel selection buttons to an area that would not be disturbed by sitting back in the couch against a pillow.

I sit about 10 feet in the dierect line of the transmitter.

Pros: Great sounding, good connection. Works great. I am not disappointed.

Cons: They shut off themselves after a couple minutes of silence, Good for the batteries but a pain when muting commercials.
As already stated the volume can be accidentally changed when leaning back against something.

Other Thoughts: The cons are very minor and I am very happy with this purchase.

Rating + 5 These are really Cool!

Pros: The headphones are really awesome. I use them in an office through an Video/Audio switch box to switch between radio/computer/IPod and it works great! They are plenty loud and the battery lasts all day. Put this with a Slingbox and you hardly feel like you are at work! :)

Cons: I guess they are pretty expensive but if they last a long time, it will be worth the price.

Rating + 5 Love them!

Pros: Wireless, Great Sound, Volume/Tuning/On-Off all on headset. Recharable so you dont have to keep spending money on batteries. No static, except when u are moving around a lot...but as soon as you settle they are really good quality.

Cons: Some static, but only when u move around a lot.

Other Thoughts: When I first got them the batteries weren't 100% charged and I was getting a lot of static. I was about to send them back but read that you should charge them...I did for over 10 hours and WOW! they are AMAZING. What I expect for the $, even when the volume is all the way up...Love the mobility!

Wish it had a mic on it too....couldn't find any wireless headset/mic combos but oh well.

Pros: Great sound quality. Indistinguishable from corded headphones most of the time.
Good signal most of the time.
Runs on rechargable batteries.
Cradle recharges headset.
3 selectable channels.
Cradle is wall-mountable.

Cons: Takes a few seconds for headphones to find audio signal.
If no sound is heard by the headset for 2 minutes, it looses its connection to the transmitter.
Noise even at close range in some positions. A rarity, but it can be distracting sometimes.

Other Thoughts: These are pretty decent headphones. It's nice being able to move around without a cord getting caught on stuff around the PC.

Rating + 5 Wireless is nice!

Pros: These work really well. I haven't experienced much hiss or interferance, but sometimes this will happen. That is the nature of radio frequency. Also, like all headphones, make sure you break them in by leaving them running for at least 24 hours. After that you'll get the best quality.

Cons: The SRS effect isn't very good. I use a software setting for a much better effect. Also, the volume nob is on the back of the headphones, so if you lay back on a pillow you might change the volume by accident.

Rating + 5 Great Wireless Headphones

Pros: Excellent sound. Powerful base, great clarity of mid/high tones. Good reception. Look good too, fit great on the desk.

Cons: Hiss... I hate it, but i hate wires more. You cannot hear it when something is playing, but during pauses and quiet parts, its obvious. On the bright side, all wireless headphones hiss, so I'll get over it.

Other Thoughts: Great headphones, probably best wireless headphones for the price. SRS feature helps in movies, but makes MP3s sound worse. Great range, so far no static even through 2 walls. So far worst experience was waiting for 16 hours while they charged for the 1st time. Love em.

Rating + 5 great headphones

Comments: you can get a little crackle and it is annoying that the only srs controller is on the charger not on the headphones but having a signal tuner on the haedphones is brilliant becasue walking around the house or outisede I get some interferiance I can always just change the channel. Games and SRS is sweet I play bf2 with them a lot. Most of the time i play mp3s like half way and bf2 the whole way. It makes it so you only hear what you NEED to here and instead of ambient noise you get soundtrack of yourchoice. Listening to music with the srs on can be degrading escpecially with hiphop. If you watch movies with them you will learn to hear the echo between the surround sound and taht is when a movie is 2channel stereo no SRS is best and when it is 5.1 srs sounds best.
